Great place for food. 45 mins to try to order a drink then kicked out for upsetting the waitress for ordering a drink from a different waitress. Food was great but be aware to sit upwards of 1 hour to order a drink then get kicked out for ordering a drink.

First time at Local and it will definitely be our last- took over 15 minutes for a server to come get drinks, while 5 young girls chat with the young man working there, flirting with the one. Appies got messed up, our meal was good - the server went MIA for the entire time until our playes were pushed back, in which she came and asked us if we wanted the bill. Some other server brought us refills, which was nice. But seemed like our server was avoiding our table to go socialize with the other girls. Was not busy, at all which we understand why now. They comped the one appy at which still paid nearly $100 for one appy, two meals and 2 soda drinks.

I had a waitress the other night who was absolutely phenomenal!! Nothing but the best could tell she was busy but she took great care of our group and showed genuine interest in our table think her name was Madi :) The atmosphere was also very welcoming I had a young gentleman greet us and all smiles from the bar. I LOVED the friend/family work vibe created a great space, will definitely be coming back here and asking for Madi s section. Keep up the great work!!!

It was not very busy, so I was expecting great service. It was mediocre at best. No one was keen or invested in us being there. Our server was ok, she was nothing even remotely special. The bartender, a young kid in an untucked white shirt, was so interested in the 3 young ladies at the end of the bar, he cared about nothing else. Every single second he had free he was chatting them up. Ok food, douchey bartender, less than stellar service.

Came in on Monday night, Taylor was our bartender. Just wanted to say she was the most personal bartender I ve had in a very long time! Also, pizza and drinks were great! Looking forward to my next visit!!

Honestly they have the best food I have ever eaten. I will be recommending to everyone I meet all because of one of there amazing staff members named Madi.

Service was not good, server came by maybe 4 times total including paying the bill, spoke to us with a max of 5 words at a time, glassware was extremely dirty with weird red strokes inside (looked like a egg under a flashlight) that happened twice, burger came with the wrong side, the knife we received had sticky spots on them, and for each of these complaints we had to flag someone down to get any attention. I had to verbally speak up to employees walking around for them to stop at the table. I come here frequently and I have never had an experience like this, if the server meantioned her name I would put it down so she could learn not to stand behind the bar the whole time talking to the same customer and be more attentive to her tables, the manager however was very nice and very helpful

It was obvious that Zaira was up to date on the intricacies of the menu, gave informed advice that inevitably led to my group loving our selections. The support staff was also great. As we finishes our drinks and meals they were cleared promptly with a smile. Our meals came out quickly and were perfect. I only gave a 4 star because there was only 1 dessert option, otherwise it was delicious. I will definitely visit again and have this location as a top pick for big group gatherings...

The local burger has a secret sauce that I think is a must try. Also their carmelized onions are the ticket that set the burger apart! I love a burger w/avocado, no skimping.

I was quite impressed with this location. Went there with a group of people and we really enjoyed everything. The food is very good here, especially the local burger! I was recently visiting the beautiful city of Edmonton and stopped by LOCAL to have lunch with a good friend. I have been to other locations in other cities before but this by far was the best. The food and service was absolutely amazing! Kayli, our server, was excellent. Always checking on us to make sure we were doing ok and had everything we needed. She truly went above and beyond. Will definitely be back next time I m in Edmonton.

Had the fried chicken ramon, it was great. Very flavorful and the chicken was crispy and juicy. The server we had was awesome! She had drinks out to us before we needed more.

If I could give zero stars I would. Im a regular customer at the Sherwood Park location so I thought Id give this location a try while in town with my husband for the weekend. The service was horrible. We waited forever to be seated. Had to ask 3 times for a glass of water, watched our food sit under the heat lamps for 12 minutes only to be served it barely luke warm. The red headed waitress assigned to us even said shed check the kitchen for our food then went off and flirted with the table of men a few tables away. The manger made sad excuses about a large group, but we could clearly see the issue was the waitress.

Unreal slow. 2.5 hours for diet pepsi, salad, and edamame beans today. Waited 25 mins for my bill to come and had to ask twice. Idk I wouldnt recommend coming here on a Sunday they were insanely short staffed and I couldnt get out of there fast enough (literally... they wouldnt bring me my bill). Food was fine though.

The attention to detail is unmatched when comparing it to other restaurants in the same category. From the food to the service and overall vibe Local on Jasper has it all. After going a few times here and there I ve got to know one of the servers Erika. Erika is always approachable, organized and knows her stuff. She even went as for as covering some of my tab as a thank you for being a repeat customer. Overall, I only have good things to say about this place.

This establishment is absolute perfection and everything you could wish for. I had the most amazing pizza ever and my husband tried the local burger. We both 100% recommend. We also had the privilege of meeting the manager named Jake who was the sweetest and brightest young man we have met, very professional and very helpful.

There were actually 8 stars the stars in our eyes as the four of us gazed upon front of house manager Jake and server Yvonne. I had a great time watching the Oilers get their shot at a game 7 match with some buddies. The nachos were excellent and the atmosphere was incredible. Definitely an amazing place to watch sporting events.

We always love coming to Local, but this visit really proves why they re our favourite. There was a mishap with our food, which wasn t a huge deal to us, but their accommodation regarding this issue was astounding. Management came out and talked to us and treated us amazingly. Great food, great drinks, 10/10 service, we will continue to come back whenever we can!

Had a birthday supper on a Thursday night. The meal was nice, the patio was comfortable, and the staff were lovely. My only complaint is that it was a little loud, but its a sports bar, its supposed to be!

had a reservation booked for 12 am, online it says they re open until 1 and the reservation was also available to book. when we arrived early for our reservation she said they had done last call, and was very dismissive. on top of that i also got an email and text confirmation of my reservation. if this is the case and it was last call then don t have reservations available to book online.

I used to really enjoy going to this place. The food is great and I enjoyed myself watching hockey with friends. My wife and I had one particularly bad experiece 2 years ago where while we were waiting for a patio spot we sat at the bar. We tried to get the attention of one of 3 bartenders who seemed like they were going out of their way to not acknowledge us. We waited 10 minutes but they were too busy serving staff and friends of staff so we left. Last week I decided to get over that bad experience and give Local another shot with my wife and a friend. As we walked by the patio we saw a group of people waiting at their table drinkless but it wasnt busy so we asked to sit outside. The hostess dropped off menus and thats all we were helped for 15 minutes. The table we noticed from the street hadnt even recieved water at that point, who knows how long they were sitting there before we came. I guess Ill come back in another 2 years and hope they get it together again.

The more I think about my most recent experience at LOCAL, the more frustrated I become. I would consider myself a regular. Have been frequenting this establishment for perhaps a decade. It has been my go to . After this last visit, that is likely to change. Service was great, everything came in reasonable time and the server (Ali) was really good. Had chicken wings and a sweet heat pizza. The wings were an embarrassment for LOCAL. No lie, the smallest wings I have ever seen from a chicken. They were ALL tiny but some were so small and skinny they weren t worth serving. Just accepted it, chuckled and moved on. Then the pizza came. I have had, probably, 30 sweet heat pizzas over time. This had a really bad burned crust, a bit of heat, very little sweet and apparently there is a shortage of olives. On a pizza featuring olives, there should be at least one on every slice?? I m not sure if the chef is trying to save money? My comment to the server was that you did a great job but it breaks my heart that you have to tip out to the kitchen, because this was awful . When you pay $75+tip for a couple of beers and really lousy pizza and wings it makes you think about doing it again. I guess, I the end, my bad for accepting that food at my table. As much as I think of this as my go to , I ll be moving down the block or across the river for at least a while and I won t be in a big hurry to get back to LOCAL. I work hard for my money and when I spend it I expect a certain level of value. Kinda makes me sad to end a tradition. There are so many options for F&B and vibe in this city, don t accept mediocre.

Very tasty food. I ve eaten at Local Jasper Ave. several times and never disappointed. Food is underrated. Shrimp dumplings, chicken sandwich, poke bowl, salads and pizza are excellent.

Semi-loud but great selection of music, my group had Sabrina and she was a real gem of a server, she was very fast in taking orders and getting drinks. Great job to the bar team and kitchen! The chicken burger I had was delicious!

Its really too bad that we had such an awful waitress, I was really looking forward to eating here. We waited quite a while before being greeted by our miserable server. She didnt acknowledge ua really at all and frankly looked like she hated her life. She took our order and that was literally the last time we saw her. The pink spritz drink was fantastic... but I only got it after getting up to grab it myself after staring at it sit on the bar top for 15 minutes. Our apetizer came out... but we werent given cutlery to eat it, the chef ended up providing us with some. Good thing the bar tender was there when wed had enough to provide us our bill so we could get the heck out of there.

I found the food tasty, although quite overpriced with small portions, even considering the cost of inflation. The beer drinkers at my table enjoyed their beverages, which did seem reasonably priced and a good variety. My tea, however, was very overpriced at over $4. The atmosphere was extremely loud. There was nowhere to sit that did not have a speaker or two blaring overhead, making conversation a shouting match. The waitstaff were pleasant, but inexperienced. There is an order to waiting on customers, which dont seem to be understood. Especially when it comes to delivering food. The customer having to ask for utensils, which staff might remember to bring in a timely manor (obviously the best time is BEFORE the food is delivered), meanwhile the food cools before consumption . And as usual it seems, these days, the waitstaff dont understand what to do with cash. I wont patronize this business again. Dietary restrictions: They do have a gluten free menu.

Place was honestly amazing!!! Food was delectable, music taste was nice, and the servers were VERY kind!!! Everything was terrific! Although the prices are a bit up there so I do suggest only going if its a special occasion . I got the Wagyu hotdog which was 20 bucks ( ) and it just tasted like a normal hotdog but bacon wrapped on a Hawaiian bun.

Seventh or eighth time here. We usually come on Sundays looking to nurse the hang and watch some sport. Feed is always good. Service is always pleasant. Never disappoints.

I was here a few weeks ago, during the afternoon. Michelle was the bartender that day. She was kind, and amazing! Tonight, my experience was just as great. Jenna, the bartender, greeted me promptly. She made me feel very welcome, coming in and sitting alone. The MOD tonight, Carter, as I observed, was in the mix and rolling up his sleeves to help out. I will be coming back again, no doubt about it!!!

Love watching Sunday NFL here with my best friend (been watching together for 30 plus years), or with my adult daughter, or on my own after a day of work. Great patrons, staff and management. The Bar Tenders and waitresses always have a smile.and never share thier problems. I also love the music and videos along with the sports. The Manager, Sonny, clearly knows how to hire and treat his team. I would recommend Locals Jasper Ave to any age group.

The fish tacos and fries are the best and the service has been great everytime I ve gotten food from here, both in person and from doordash. I visited Local on a Tuesday night and ended up being on my own to watch the hockey game and get some work done. Often as a solo dinner, I am mostly ignored. Rachel did an awesome job checking in on me, refilling my drinks and making sure I felt just as welcome as the bigger tables I could see she was taking care of. My food came out quickly and was well prepared, and a Manager also came by to check on my meal. My husband and I recently moved downtown, so I will be sure to visit Local again if this is the service I can expect!

Went for lunch during the week the three of is that went enjoued it. The only one thing is the vegerarian burger that has a lot of almonds in it, tasted like an almond burger. Half the burger was left.

Had the best experience! Had a very long week and wanted to unwind on a Saturday night so came in for a beer but BOY DID I GET MORE THAN JUST THAT!! I was immediately greeted pleasantly by one of the managers, Brennan who offered me a spot at the bartop (also known as the wood from what I understand?). Upon sitting I was immediately greeted, warmly, by one of the bartenders, Yvonne. She was very efficient getting my LOCAL lager (their house beer, which I can only guess is brewed in that lovely cooler by the front door?). After that, Yvonne was diligently coaching from what I gathered was a newer bartender, Taylor (who was also lovely). So for the rest of my experience I was attended to by Damin, and let me tell, this was the best bar experience I ve had in awhile! She was kind, engaging, and quite attentive. Food was good but very small portions. Service was okay, charged for addons that never showed up. Might ve been an off night for the service. Didn t have energy to find someone, just wanted to eat. Great atmosphere though, will definitely come back to it another go.

If Hannah is working the bar. Go hang. I bartended for about 12 years and she was a nice throw back to how bartending should be done. Asks for name, introduces herself, and genuinely commands her space. Those types of bartenders are rare.

The team here is top notch. Alicia, i think that was her name, was an exceptional bartender. Great personality and was running around and still so on top. The manager brendan was super friendly and definitely made us want to come back. Food was good and christmas drinks were alright. Will be back for sunday football.

Weekly visit with a group of friends. Great atmosphere for sports and gatherings. Great selection on tap and menu. Food Great, love the Ramen chicken bowl. Had the truffle burger and it wasnt very flavourful quite underwhelming. Parking: Behind and couple street spots infront

Food was good but is classic pub food fare. Our server was attentive but not overly concerned about our table for the few customers in there. Atmosphere was great. It is a very cozy pub vibe and they have a shuffle board.

We loved this place!! We came in our first night in Edmonton and we wanted to come back again, but unfortunately didn t have time! I highly recommend this place though! Food was awesome and there was so much more I wanted to try! Our waitress was very friendly as well!
