Five stars all around food extremely delicious and filling. Hats off to the chef all staff are extremely pleasant and well mannered I would highly recommend this restaurant. Right next to the hotel I'll definitely be back when visiting Edmonton.
Disappointed. Had a free appetizer card (no time limit) for Preston's, and it wasn't honored. Was told it is a different company now. But, they STILL run under the same name. You take the name, you take the obligations. Just after 7 p.m., and we (2) are the only customers. Tried one of their burgers yesterday, it was nice. Wonder why this business is not doing well (besides not honoring their coupons).
6 of us went to have breakfast wasn't allowed to order from the breakfast menu. Had to eat the buffet breakfast we asked for coffee. They pour one cup of coffee and left. Told them again we wanted coffee they came back poured 2 cups of our coffees left again finally. The 3rd time telling them we wanted coffee the poured the last 3 cups with attitude At the buffet we asked if they're going to refill the bacon gave more attitude all the food was room temperature including the yogurt and fruit when we went to pay. They charged 160 dollars. Charged us for the omellete bar which we not only didnt know existed but did not use and added an 18%tip to the bill when asked whyvit was so high they said it was right an we had to pay the amount 160 divided by 6 is the cost of an actually good main course at an actual good restaurant avoid going there Dennys and Cora's is up and down the street. Way better breakfast made to order and we'll bellow half the price. I will never go back
I don't ever complain but had to send my burger back. The bun was dry, cracked and tasted moldy, it was a cheap sesame seed bun like you'd get at Wal-Mart. Patty was skinny. Not a $23 burger. Red wine was served ice cold right out of the fridge. Sons steak was good though. Not impressed. Server was good and made it right - thank you.
This may just have been the worst food I’ve ever paid for. We went in with a large party right at open, for dinner, since we had a concert to attend later. Seated at 16:55, received our food an hour after that. Apparently they only had one person in the kitchen, which they neglected to tell us ahead of time. Food comes out, and EVERY SINGLE dish is completely bland and unseasoned. No salt or pepper used. We brought it up to our server and she was apologetic, but stated that their head chef (Kayla dhaliwal), who runs the kitchen but wasn’t there herself, doesn’t like to season their food. Every single member of our party had to use the measly salt shaker on the table to get some sort of flavour out of our food. We had everything from sandwiches to steaks. Nothing was seasoned. Terrible restaurant. Would not recommend.
Ordered ribeye steak. Cut was less than 1/2 inch thick like a fast fry at the grocery store. Steak came cool, and medium at best when medium rare was ordered. Hard to get a medium rare on a steak that thin though. Vegetables were carrots, red pepper, and asparagus all chopped, S&P and loads of butter. Was fine. Boiled or steamed skin on russet potatoes with sour cream/bacon/green onion. Was fine. Wouldn’t order again, steak was the worst I’ve had in the city so far, service was good. Place had 2 other patrons during rush hour, may explain the cost cutting with the steak.
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful spot. Preston's restaurant and bar is a spot. We are staying in downtown Edmonton and wanting a steak. We had many options but decided on Preston's. The service by Travis was superb 👌 but the food, oh my goodness it was the best steak we've had in months and the shrimp was like a lobster tail 😋 We will be back! Delicious 😋
They may not open for everyone for now. I got my hotel with breakfast and their breakfast was great. They served set meal during the week days and buffet style breakfast during the weekend. It was great.
Go for a 5 min walk and eat any where but here. Ordered a 50$ med rare rib eye and got hockey puck over done sirloin at best. Don t order food here, we thought it was convenient but it s not. Food
We waited a long time for the order. Overall the atmosphere is cozy and the food is delicious. Portions are average.
Very nice Warm and inviting Enjoyed my breakfast thanks Clean and with news on too Food : 5/5 |
My husband and i were staying at the coast hotel a few weeks ago, we went to the restaurant in the hotel a few times but never again, we were served by a boy name Dhruv and Chirag both experiences were horrible, Dhruv was very immature, rude, arrogant, when I asked him for something he completely ignored me and gave me a disgusted look, but would listen to my husband. He made a remark about how women should learn their place and be quiet to my husband, we were absolutely appalled. Chirag wasnt any better, he also ignored me. When I asked for anything, only answering to my husband, when he felt like it. The restaurant wasnt busy, he just stood there most of the time, and once our food finally came out he placed down my husbands gently and dropped mine on the table like I was some animal. I thought the plate would break. We ate our food and left without leaving a tip. What kind of behaviour is that? I pity the female staff that work there. Don t go here!
Worst benny I ve had at a restaurant. Hollandaise sauce was sour. Egg was warm but muffin and prosciutto were cold. The fruit, potatos, and shredded lettuce were fine. Super overpriced for the quality.
Literally appreciated by liquor server Named Dhruv Patel. Highly recommended him.
i should have listened to the reviews, got a cheesecake for $10 and it s the size of my finger, it wasn t even good PSA it s not worth it
I think this place is gone. Link on their website to OpenTable reservations says permanently closed.
Just ate here and it s a terrible place to eat. Over priced for what you get. Got a steak it was the smallest piece of steak I ve seen. Kids got grilled cheese for $15 which wasn t worth it at all. Wife got fish and chips for $24 and it was rushed because of them forgetting her order so it was under cooked fries and fish. Also got calamari and we had to send it back as it was so over cooked and never tasted any calamari just batter. Would not recommend going here.
I order a chicken wrap and besides not tasting good there were small pieces of bones and cartilage.. I also had breakfast buffet in another day and it was just okay but better than the dinner
advertised prime rib on sunday night ...showed up no prime rib! What a joke save yourself the time many great restaurants within two blocks...this is the worst Coast hotel restaurant i have ever been in!
Terrible service. Meal took over 90 minutes to arrive. Missed 2 full meals. They had no explanation and weren t willing to work with us. Absolutely brutal! 0 stars.
I stayed at the hotel for two days and had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. The service was fantastic (Mya you re amazing at your job!) and the food was SO GOOD! I ve been staying at this hotel for years and I can honestly say that the food is the best it has ever been.
Staff dont let u use the bathroom if u dont live in the hotel. Stud dont know when restaurant is open
Would not recommend this restaurant even if it is convenient for hotel guests. I just ordered a meal and it took a long time to be ready and once I took the meal up to my room it was one disappointment after another. The brisket was bland and super fatty, the Mac and cheese was dry and tasted like it was just shredded cheese and cream as a sauce. Overall everything was very bland. I went to talk to someone about the quality of the food and they offered no solution or compensation and the person who I spoke with was rude. Overall very disappointment in my experience.
service was atrocious, waited to be seated, waited for drinks, and was basically ignored even tho there was at total of three other tables there, had to ask multiple times for hot sauce, you would think that is a common condiment, asked for a drink twice and was never given it, and when finally done had to go up and ask for the bill, again the restaurant was empty except for two other tables, would not recommend
Whoever answered the phone Monday Jan 15 at 9:20 pm needs a raise, just called to order and he was the most friendly dude ever, love !!! And burger was bussin
Breakfast? Fantastic! Dinner, not so much. Staff are friendly and polite, and the breakfast service is amazing, particularly if you can catch the buffet. Unfortunately the buffet isnt available all the time (only when the hotel is above a certain % full) and it is impossible to know when it will be. The dinner however, give it a pass. The burger was soggy, the waffle fries were passable. Parking: Parking is available in the hotel parking lot, but costs even more than parking anywhere else downtown (20$/day).
Came by to try their new Prime Rib Sunday dinner. Great value as it comes with two veggie sides and a potato side, and of course 10 oz of delicious prime rib. The prime rib was better than expected, cooked to a nice medium rare with a delicious crust. The roasted root vegetables were great as well, with onions, multicolor carrots, tomatoes, and even golden beets! Delicious. We also got the giant Yorkshire pudding which was delicious albeit a tiny bit greasy in the middle. The service was excellent. I loved that the waiter asked is there anything that can make this an even better experience for you? when we said everything was good. Shows that they want to go above and beyond for their customers. The manager also came by and offered us free dessert because it took a little extra time for us to get our drinks ordered. We were impressed with the level of care and attention they provided. Would definitely recommend for anyone craving a nice prime rib!
Food was good but the service was appalling. Honestly one of worst experiences we have had in a very long time. So slow. Food came out at different times, soups came out after entrees. We had to finally get up and grab our own water. Drinks took nearly 45 minutes. So disappointing for our mothers day outing.
Great time,
I had the self-serve sunday morning brunch experience, the food was tremendous, very tasty, a lot of diversity. Marlyn was the best host Ive experienced in a restaurant since a looong time, she was awesome. Great service, could not wish for better! Highly recommend!
I just ordered from here on skip. It took 45 minutes to make a sandwich and my order is not even right. It seems like they weren t prepared to be open and just gave me whatever. Not happy to pay for a box full of soggy chips when it s not what I ordered. Food really lacks flavour and the bread on the sandwich is so greasy.
Good customer services
The food was really good. The atmosphere was about what youd expect from a hotel lobby restaurant. The service though was amazing, the waiters were humorous, attentive, and on the ball. I was very impressed with the service.
Maia and Andrew provided absolutely fantastic service and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. Very friendly place we will definitely be visiting again
Loved the French onion soup, and the service was excellent!
Amanda was awesome and I m looking forward to coming back! Great service, fun atmosphere, and delicious food. Make sure to take her advice on the food I m glad I did!
Clean dining experience with a chef I can tell feels good about what they send out. Reasonably priced with great service.
Food and service was terrible. Will never eat there again even if its convenient when staying at the Coast Inn.
Thanks to this awesome dining room staff that took my breakfast orders, cooked my breakfast & delivered my breakfast every morning even though they were short staffed for 10 consecutive days! Carlos from Chile is their manager. I feel so blessed!
Nice food!!
Wonderful service
Good for business lunch Staying in hotel, decided to risk lunch here for a meeting. Most hotel restaurants suck. Preston s didn t! Great service and good food (my cheeseburger was fresh chuck as advertised). Good for a business lunch.
The quality of service and the attitude of the staff have improved tremendously since the hotel and restaurant renovation. It is now a pleasant place to have quality meals with friendly service. Prestons has one of the best buffet breakfast in town and a good diversified selection on the dinner menu. Well done!
I had to say when i read it was 18$ for the breakfast buffet, i thought i need to try out this place. Well, I have to say that thats one of the worst breakfast buffets I have ever ate. The sausages were raw (still pink!), the omelette and eggs benedict cooked to hell and back, and the french toast was just awful. The only redeeming quality was that the coffee was delicious. Definately wont be back.
good food and breakfast
We had some of the new appies and main courses. Food was fantastic and the restaurant is nice. You won t be disappointed.
Very delicious breakfast buffet. Fairly reasonable pricing especially with their kids 5 and under eat for free promotion. We highly recommend Prestons for the breakfast buffet. Mmmmmmmmm, eggs benedict.
I LOVED my dinner at Prestons, it is conveniently located in the Coast Hotel (which is where we stayed). The quality of the food is amazing, I had steak and it delicious. They have a decent beer selection and the service is great!
Amazing food and this months special is jamaican food. Yum
The place is nice and food is good. Overpriced because is a hotel restaurant.
I stay at this hotel often and the staff are always pleasant at this restaurant. Helpful and attentive with fairly good food. Hotel restaurant pricing.
Other than pouring coffee for me, I was completely ignored even when it came to clearing up my bill. Terrible service!
