Decent service and friendly staff, reasonably priced, the food is ok but not the best fondu I have had and the cocktails were mediocre.

The staff were truly exceptional at The Melting Pot. When I was looking for the washroom, it wasnt just pointed out to me, the staff member made sure to bring me right to it. Ensuring I find my way is an under-appreciated customer service moment. Our server, Dominic (with the grand mustache) was professional, well-mannered, and kept us topped off and satisfied. He didnt miss a beat when explaining the process, menu, and making suggestions and recommendations. Hats off to the amazing staff. The food was wonderfully flavored. We had meat lovers entree and each piece was seasoned, tender, and complemented well by the Coq au Vin broth. I really enjoyed the cheese, as well, and how it was rendered well, not too thick, and stayed creamy for over ten minutes. We had the Smores dessert and it harkened to a warm campfire. I would have liked more graham cracker crumbs to really evoke the sense of a smore, but the marshmallow and chocolate paired well and stayed moist throughout dessert. We spent an arm-and-a-leg experiencing a wonderful date night, so I couldnt recommend it on a budget, but when youre in the mood to spoil yourselves or your date, I cant recommend this place highly enough.

Came here for a birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised with how full i left! We did the three course, but the dessert was our favourite part. Our service was 100% above and beyond. Our server was charismatic as well as a couple other servers who assisted our table. I will say the only downside is the booths are quite close together and dont provide a lot of privacy. I did see a couple booths that were a little more hidden in the back closer to the bathrooms, so we know what to request for the next time we go. We will definately be coming back to try a couple other melted chocolate options.

The staff were incredibly friendly and funny, the food was amazing and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an interactive dinner with friends. It was expensive but so worth it!

Dom our server was super kind and attentive the food was super good the cheese was soo ooie gooie delicious the meat was super fun to cook and fish out and the chocolate was amazing we got extra complimentary strawberries so we could keep going. Dom told several very funny jokes that I appreciated. All the staff that came around and grabbed plates and set our chocolate on fire were super nice. Hope the staff have a good day and Dom specially has a great week he deserves it for that great service and amazing mustache.

Food was decent, but portions were very small for the price

Food is great. Service also great. Was surprised how much value there was here. Very affordable for what you get. Post a restroom sign please. The common event of the night was watching people try and find the restroom and bother staff.

I was not able to make our reservation for 5 online, but when I phoned in, the receptionist was able to get us in at the time we wanted. The service, food and atmosphere made it a great way for our family to spend an evening.

Hubby and I had a great experience just now. Our server Jam was so knowledgeable, patient, pleasant. He made the experience even better. My husband and I will definitely come back. More fondue and more Jam...wink!

Dietary restrictions: They have gluten options! Food

I recently ate here and it was terrible, initially everything was amazing and I thought it would be alright as I was having a good experience, HOWEVER, once my food arrived I notice some hair in my food, initially I wasn t that mad but after I tasted it I knew that it was a pube. I REPEAT this was not regular hair, THIS WAS DEFINITELY A PUBE. Would not recommend.

Went there for the first time with our good friends, Corianne and Leigh. They had been there many times, but this was the first visit for us. The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Connor, our server, was great at explaining all the details of how to best enjoy the meal. He was really a highlight of the evening. Great food all around. Its nice to be in a place with nice mood lighting for a change. Not super bright, crowded and noisy like a Canadian Brewhouse. This was quiet and very relaxing. The tables are set up in such a way that we felt like we were the only ones there. I guess Im used to the pubs like Brewhouse where youve got some other guys head almost touching the back of yours. It really is about having an experience here, and that doesnt exist for the most part with a lot of restaurants. The Melting Pot lives up to the definition of its name as we enjoyed time coming together with our friends, sharing stories, laughter, and quality time. You cant ask anything more than that from an evening out.

They worked with my dairy allergy and even moved us to another table to have the opportunity to have two cheeses. One vegan. Very accommodating!

I remember coming here one other time about 10 years ago and enjoyed it then. Came here tonight and had a very pleasant experience. Food portions are a little small for what you pay for, other than that if you want to have a fondue without having to do all the prep for it, I strongly recommend this place! Will definitely return.

By far the best restaurant I have ever been too. Always love a good fondue . My standards are high when it comes to the due. They nailed every single portion and the staff was incredible, amazing service Got to talk to the man running the restaurant at the time. Think his name was Domanic. Let him know what a great experience we had . Very kind and patient dude. I recommend coming here on an empty stomach and atleast 3 hours of your are getting the full fondue experience. They did is right. Thanks guys

While I dont love fondue, some people took us out here. We found the atmosphere to be quite nice, and the service was decent. Food was pricey, but you can actually get decent value depending on how you order. 1 cheese and 1 chocolate order should be enough. The Wisconsin and original chocolate are solid.

Every year for daughters birthday amazing experience

Amazing food, amazing staff. My only recommendation would be if they gave you cold towels as it just gets extremely hot in there with everything cooking so if you go wear something that you would on a hot day. And then with the amount of plates it would be nice if there was just more room at the tables. All of these are minor things as everything else is amazing. Always worth going to.

Dont eat for 2 days before coming here. They will not let you be thirsty, you will feel like the river valley zoo seals laying on the rocks after. So good. So much food. So many good drinks. 15/10

Fantastic experience. Super fun fondue with great ingredients and amazing sauces . Service was enthusiastic and efficient, with lots of staff that know their jobs. This used to be our favourite place. Has gone downhill. Never left the Melting Pot hungry before today. Don t waste your money here anymore. What a shame.

Our waiter was amazing and very on top of our table needs. He kept our drinks filled and answered all of our questions! We werent left sitting and thinking about anything we needed for long at any point in the night. He was very prompt and polite and acknowledged both of us in the party. The food was amazing, and the waiter offered suggestions for sauces and food combos. He gave us cooking times and instructions. The only thing that was slightly odd (not bad just odd) was the football game was playing on the TV which as we were on the bar side made sense but just didnt fit the vibe. Overall an amazing meal, and staff we recommended it and will return.

This place was so much fun and accommodating! We had the 4 course dinner. All the sauces and complementary dippers they give were so good. you cook everything yourself it was so fun! I have a gluten allergy and they took it very seriously and even gave me gluten free brownies for the dessert fondue, I could not believe it! Out server went above and beyond and was super friendly and hilarious. We definitely will be coming back when we come back to Edmonton

The service is good; they gave us complimentary food. Cooking is tricky as youll have to time it well, it takes 2 hours to get the full experience. It was a bit dark but at the same time manageable.

We had an excellent experience here for my daughters 25th birthday. Leo was our server and was very attentive to our table, quick to answer any questions and make meal suggestions and gave us the cooking times for perfectly cooked meat. All the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing and the food....amazing. Im already planning what I will have next time I visit this restaurant. A truly enjoyable experience!

Went here for a date, booked a reservation for two for date night and added rose peddles and roses. We both had a fabulous evening, excellent date and lovely company.

Stopped here on our trip to Edmonton and had such a great evening! We had some allergies within our group and they did such an amazing job accommodating and didn t feel we were missing out on any portion and had the full experience. The spinach and artichoke cheese dip was one of our favourites and highly recommend trying that one. Definitely worth the stop and will be back!

The melting pot may be surprised that I m rating them 5 stars because of our experience tonight (LOL), but they were absolutely impecable and I 10/10 recommend this place for any local guide. I have social anxiety so when we were seated I immediately felt uncomfortable, we were in an area that was a bit noisey so my partner asked our hostess if we could be moved to somewhere a bit quieter, they moved us without issue and even asked my partner to come view the area we were moving to prior to us moving. The hostess was so sweet and stunning (she could literally be a model, girl, you need an agent ) and so genuine when she told us not to worry about being moved because I kept apologizing because I was embarrassed. I m likely on the spectrum and I enjoy going out but struggle with crowds, noise and people, so I felt wonderful with her grace. We ordered the deal for two, and our cheese fondue and veggies were spectacular! Literally, SOOOO GOOD, U G H. They replenished us without issue and another server even came around gushing over our baby and asked if they could make her a plate of fruits, which they did so. They even brought over a second plate of bananas for our little girl because she was loving them! The issue we had was with our mains, but not because of quality or quantity. Our oil didn t get turned on unfortunately when it was placed on our table, which was partly my own fault, one of the bus boys and myself were joking and laughing and I distracted him unintentionally (literally, truly sorry my guy) so when my partner and I dipped our first meat entree, we realized the oil was cold because our food wasn t cooking, and it was going to take some time for it to heat up, and then for our items to cook. I started spiraling because of my social anxiety and how late it was because it was going to take F O R E V E R which was also on me; we shouldn t have had reservations later in the evening as first timers, but we were so unaware of what the night would look like. I asked our incredible server if we could pack up our stuff and they did without issue, then they included another order of chocolate covered strawberries free of charge, which I was already happy with, AND THEN, they comp d our champagne and original order of chocolate covered strawberries which was completely shocking; they felt terrible for our experience which I had felt like was my own fault. I will be back here with my partner and children, and also alone with my partner because ~kiddos~ lol. But I have nothing but good things to say about this place! The service is the main thing I look for at places like this, then the quality of food. Everyone in Edmonton knows the food here is fresh (you re literally dipping fresh veggies and cooking meat yourself lol, you ve gotta be fresh for that) but the service is truly what will keep us coming back. We felt seen and cared about! Kid-friendliness: They were so kind and nice to our baby. They had a seat ready for her, and multiple servers and bus people came by gushing over her. Another server who was not serving us originally even made our baby a plate of small things (this is a thing in our little tistic house) of fruits and was so sweet to her all night!!!

Wow just wow. This place is the best fondue restaurant I have ever been to. It is quite expensive but worth every penny.

Went for a dinner with my wife and the seats were ripped and the cushion was sealed with tape. It was a birthday dinner and I paid extra for a romantic set up but to get this seat to sit was a let down. Food and staff was good and no complaints about it.

Loved all the gluten free options. Our server Leo was amazing; the hostess was so sweet and friendly too.

Best restaurant

Our anniversary date was a disaster, Server was very slow, was not able to re-order drinks, or any of the dippers. It took forever warm up the oil and to cook.

We had luke as a server and he was absolutely amazing!!!! & he had a lady named Veronica shadowing him that also did a wonderful job! Great first experience! Will for sure be back! :)

My wife and I have been here multiple times, but I just had to take a moment and give it a review after the exceptional service we received tonight. Our waitor (Leandro P) went over and above to ensure my wife and I were happy. Any requests I had, be it drinks, questions about the entrees or even dips for the entrees were handled in a timely manner that was truly the definition of as fast as possible. He would come by and check on us throughout all 4 courses to ensure we were enjoying everything, and gave us more then ample time to actually enjoy our meal and have a conversation. The rest of the staff were also tremendous. Very friendly and helpful staff. As stated previously, we have been to this establishment, and. Truly havent ever had a bad experience, but tonights visit has really exceeded expectations. I hope anyone reading this is lucky enough to get Leandro as a server. Our service was the definition of what customer service should look like!

First time being there and was with a group of 25 people . We had a private room yhat could seat about 30 max. The menu was preselected and was very good . The items were fresh and in some cases were free refills.

Went for a date night, first time going was impressed with the food and service, will definitely go back soon!! Got the 4 course meal was definitely worth it!!!

Tried coming here 40 minutes before closing for a quick fondue with my boyfriend. We were turned away saying they were fully booked for the night. I thought it was odd as I could see some open spots but figured they must be reserved. We saw about 6 people walk out in the time we were waiting at the front. We left and I looked online and saw there were still reservation spots left at 8:45 to book so they were clearly not fully booked. Not nice being lied to, they didn t even give us the option to maybe wait a few minutes to see if people would leave

If you havent tried this its a must! The fiesta cheese is incredible, and the best chocolate desserts in my opinion and bananas Foster, great show, and the turtle, and smore.

I hate to leave a negative review for this place as we ve had quite a few positive experiences in the past. Positives - it s a fun experience, and the food is good Negatives - the place is getting pretty worn down - it s an expensive place to eat so the expectation is that everything should be top notch - we were seated in a room that is possibly normally used for large groups- the room was a MESS, the other tables were not cleaned when we were brought in, there was random chairs lined up all around the walls. Clearly in a fine restaurant this should not be happening. I couldn t even move my chair because I had 3 empty chairs between myself and the wall. Honestly somebody didn t notice that there shouldn t be random chairs all over the place??? - the service was slow- our server had at minimum 5 tables of 6 people each (probably more but that all I could see) - for 5 people, including 2 children, and no alcohol, our bill was $300. Expensive place to eat, and when it actually feels like a nice restaurant you don t mind paying for the overall experience, but this time it was seriously lacking. At this point I doubt we would return, we is unfortunate as we ve probably been there 10-15 times since it opened.

Booked a table here for our anniversary 8th year in a row. Usually an awesome experience. However this year I booked specifically for an anniversary and requested the romantic rose petal package, and special requested for a more private table. It seems odd to me that we would be seated where we were in a main intersection of the restaurant at the table with the ripped booth seat. When we asked the manager to be relocated we were told its first come first serve and nothing he could do about. Seems like a hiccup in preplanning and management to accommodate special request reservations. Food was still amazing. Waitress was Great.

We had a birthday that we wanted to celebrate, and were calling around. We callled the Melting Pot and they took us in last minute, and went above and beyond. Our server, Ikon, was so personable and knowledgeable. He had the best recommendations and made our visit such a joy!

Fiesta cheese fondue, strawberry salad, and Ying & Yang chocolate fondue were amazing! Also loved the blackberry sage lemonade (if you like sweet things). Our waiter Conner was fantastic and did a great job. And we even got a little candle to blow out for our anniversary, as well as a complimentary drink! Great experience!

A few of us gathered to celebrate my girlfriends 34th birthday tonight. It turned out to be a delightful evening filled with lively conversations, scrumptious food, and refreshing drinks. Our server, Yessir, was absolutely fantastic knowledgeable, entertaining, and offered excellent recommendations. Despite the playful teasing from our group, he remained professional and accommodating. Special thanks for fulfilling my friends mocha request and providing such wonderful suggestions. If youre fortunate enough to have Yessir as your server, rest assured, youll be in good hands! We enjoyed the bigger night out and it was worth it!!

First time at melting pot. Food was great. Only thing I found odd was on the reservation it asks if there s a special occasion, it was my birthday so I put that. The waitress also asked us and we told her it was my birthday. Noticed 2 other tables got a dessert that said happy birthday on it, and another with happy anniversary. We never got anything. Not a huge deal just weird why they would ask and then not do anything for especially considering the price we re paying and the fact 3 other tables got something.

This is by far one of the best restaurants I have been to. We are from out of town, but for the last couple years we make the trip for my boyfriends birthday. It never disappoints. The first time, I did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The decor is welcoming, the staff are nothing shy of amazing, and overall the atmosphere is cozy. The menu has a wide variety of options. There is something for everyone. Everything was very fresh, you can tell they take pride in the quality of food they serve. Dominic was our waiter this time. He was great. He always had a smile on his face, checked in with us frequently, but not too often, and super friendly. He even admitted when he did not know something, and got the answer to us very quickly. He even brought a small brownie with Happy Birthday written in chocolate, and a candle at the end. Something that seems so small, but meant so much to me. If you book a reservation, ask for Dominic (Dom the Bomb). You will not be disappointed.

Dominic is an amazing server and his joy shows when dealing with people. The food is a great experience but not inexpensive. The music playing was a bit dated.

Delicious! We got an order of land and see and an order of the Alberta with with the European oil. The Atlantic salmon and the pork were table favourites. For desert we got the pure milk chocolate fondue. All around a delicious meal. I will warn that it does take a long time so make sure this isn t somewhere you go when you re in a rush. 10/10 will be back

Bella (I hope that s her name - she had glasses and some purple in her hair) was an amazing server! She was friendly and explained everything so well and clearly. All of the staff that came to our table were wonderful. We only off-handedly mentioned we were having a small going away party and they brought this to our table.

My first time going there and it was an incredible experience! My girlfriend and I had an amazing server, Daniel, and will definitely be trying to get him next time we are in! We also were celebrating an anniversary and during our desert course the kitchen also made us a special plate saying happy anniversary with a candle in a piece of cake! Fantastic experience with excellent service.The nicest dinner Ive had in a long time. We had the four-course dinner for two, and it was very enjoyable! salad, chocolate fondue, entrée, and cheese fondue were all delicious. Our server was incredibly enthusiastic, and his recommendations were spot on. Manager was very friendly. Food was delicious, great location to spend the quality time with family and friends.

The sinulog queens 2024 winners, production team and Kuya Benjie had a blast night with Kuya Noi. We had so much fun on our first dine-in with friends. We were on cloud nine as food goes on and on at the table. It was explained to us nicely and until now, Im speechless. We had a great time having our dinner!

Honestly super underwhelming. Our server was very nice, he was great. But it s just too pricey for what it is. They give you sauces to put on the meat because without it, it s pretty flavourless. I also left feeling kind of sick, even though I did cook all of the meat according to their cook time instructions. Probably because I was just eating boiled ingredients in a dimly lit, purgatory-esque booth amongst a labyrinth of other booths full of couples trying to enjoy cooking their own food just like they might have done at home. Except you pay an arm and a leg for the experience of doing it.. not at home.

2019 I tried The Melting Pot out a few years ago. Overall, I really liked their atmosphere. In terms of food, their meat/cheese fondue was decent. (perhaps the Asian in me makes me prefer thinner slices of meat like in hotpot). The highlight for me was the chocolate fondue. I d give them 7.8/10.

This place continues to impress with great staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent food. My wife and I have been here multiple times and Ive never had a bad experience. From the moment you walk in the door youre greeted with a friendly, charming host. Once youre seated youre served by multiple staff that all seem attentive and that they enjoy being there, and dont make you feel like youre a burden for requesting service. All in all, an excellent place for a night out with your partner or groups.

We visited tonight and were turned away immediately as they only accept reservations. Wish it stated this on their website before we drove all that way. It was also disappointing to see a ton of empty tables and 5 staff hanging around the welcome desk. This was also before 5pm as we thought we could beat the rush.

The atmosphere was amazing. The servers were so knowledgeable about their food, as our first time, they recommended drinks, food and even which sauces were their favourites. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. I loved the chocolate fondue, and my husband loved the cheese. So delicious and worth the cost. Highly recommend for a wonderful experience.

I personally have been here many times, but never had Jordan as a server! It was New Years Eve and he was on the ball with everting! Friendly, always smiling and so kind. Also, the team work and help from all employees is so nice to see. Our food was so good! What a fun, different experience everyone should try once! Thank you Jordan and everyone!

I have been here many times since they first opened in Edmonton and I have to say I dont think theyve improved with any subsequent visit. One problem I have is that every single time Ive been here they dont have something I want to drink whether its wine, beer or a cocktail, its not like this is in a small remote town with supply issues and this is a high end expensive restaurant there are no excuses for this. So for the meal itself starting with the cheese fondue, Im not sure if the girl that brought it out just started or wasnt trained properly but clearly she didnt know what she was doing first of all she was mixing the cheese so vigorously that it was flying everywhere and even got on both mine and my wifes clothing (we wanted to eat it not wear it) and then she turned the heat down on the burner before she left, it was still just a big lump and wouldnt stick to anything. Thankfully we know how the burner works turned it back up and mixed it for another 5 minutes until it was nice and smooth. The main course was ok but a little skimpy on the veggies, like essentially 2 baby potatoes cut up, 4 little pieces of broccoli and 4 mushrooms! Come on! After the main course they cleaned up and brought the chocolate dessert, the bus boy took our napkins and asked us if we wanted more which we of course said we did. Unfortunately we didnt get them until we were 3/4 of the way through and if youve ever had fondue you know this is one of the messy parts! To top off their extra generous touch they gave my wife a complimentary piece of cheese cake for her birthday that was literally an inch square, I know they didnt have to but if youre going to be that cheap why bother. Not sure that well be back here again for quite some time.

What a fun dinner! Definitely an experience. Interactive. The food is soundly meh, but the service is lovely and you can get almost everything refilled. Fondue isnt known for the taste factor, but they did fine. Lots of food available. Good service. Good ambience. Of youre looking for something more Interactive, this is for you.

I booked this for my daughter and her friends in her 15th birthday. She wanted a special dinner. She said it was amazing. They were a little nervous about navigating the menu but their server Ray was an absolute rockstar. They said he walked them through everything and made them feel comfortable. He also added a special dessert to celebrate her birthday with a candle. Thank you for helping create memories! Outstanding job!

First, and definitely not our last time here. Went for Mothers Day. Staff surprised me with carnations and a $25 coupon for next visit. The place was very clean and very busy. All of our servers were excellent. Our main waiter, Conner (curly red ponytail) is excellent with customers.( We were a table of 6) The food was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the cheese fondue! It was much better than we expected. The turtles chocolate fondue was amazing! The Coq au vin was very tasty. Highly recommend this place. Save your rainy day pennies for this special restaurant experience. ($115-$165 for 2 people + 1 alcoholic beverage.) Thank you to all the kitchen workers servers, hostesses, management etc... for our wonderful experience!

One of the better and more exciting restaurants that I ve been too! The food was very good and very filling (however it was so filling that we couldn t get dessert so that will half to wait until next time) and I may try some other options next time because they sounded just as good. And a bonus is that the service is quick, and our waiter was really nice (and cute but that doesn t really matter at all but seriously if he asked for my number I would ve said yes). Back to the food, but there was nothing gross/wrong in it which is always nice, and none of the cutlery was dirty. Now to the atmosphere, the lighting was very nice (it wasent too harsh and I found it nice that it lighted up just the tables while not distracting you with the light of others tables. I m also not sure if it was because it wasent busy, but it wasent overly loud which was nice to eat and not have my ear drums constantly blasted. Another thing, the waiter was very helpful in guiding us through the menu especially since it was our first time going. Overall, it was a great experience going and I m looking forward to going again!

Made reservations for 4 for my daughters birthdays, even put it in the comments. They over booked, so they try to sit in the bar. With my kids. We ended up needing to leave and find somewhere else on a Saturday evening. I dont know why I tried this place again after the last horrible experience where someone dropped a pecan in the chocolate, removed it and then served it to the table with anaphylaxis allergies. I will not be back.

If you intend on going more than 2 People your going to be in a noisy atmosphere. This place is awesome for 1 on 1 convos with their smaller cubbies. The beyond meat sausage was gross. But most beyond meat stuff is. Not alot of vegan options, but all in all a very decent place to go. Vegetarian options: Dumplings were scrumptious

Came here as a guest for a friends birthday party last night and was very impressed by everything. Our server and all the wait staff that helped were fantastic. Super helpful, kind, cheerful and gave some great tips to help us enjoy our experience more. Our main server was amazing and I am extremely pleased on how the night went. The food was so flavourful and having a chance to try each course was delightful. Thank you again for taking care of our group! Highly recommend the house salad or if the broccoli cheese soup is available you have to try it!

Was incredibly disappointing. We havent been in a few years and we will never go back. We waited 55 minutes just for a drinks. After that it was a disaster. We had a vegetarian with us and we had called ahead. No one knew anything about it or offered her veg choices. The bread was stale, not at all fresh. Experience was been bismal at best. Wont be going back.

This was for an anniversary dinner but we didn t do the whole anniversary package as we felt it was not really for us. When you go to melting pot make sure to be really hungry. some may say the portions look small in the pictures but if you do the dining experience then it is complementary for refills on specific items. Example with the cheese we had extra bread to finish it off, with the chocolate we had more strawberries to finish that off too. It is always worth the price as the selection is wonderful and so delicious. It is a really fun experience and I love it for beautiful celebrations. I feel next time I ll bring my child as I feel she would enjoy the cheese and the chocolate one at least. Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed and next to us was a family with 2 young kids.

Absolutely fantastic! Well worth our 2 hour drive! The night we went, it was super busy. Even with our resvation we had to wait 20 minutes past our time. The manager noticed we were waiting and offered to pay for our first round of drinks. It made us feel that he was very knowledgeable about the guests he had in his resuraunt and that he cared about our experience. We also had an amazing server! I believe his name was Brandon. He was very kind, funny, patient and helpful! When he was presenting our meal, he told our kids a story about if they loose any of the food in the oil they failed swimming lessons and the spoon is the lifeguard so it just scoops them out. It was cute when that happened to our youngest and he reiterated the story. The food presentation was marvelous and it tasted even better! We left feeling happy, full and very impressed! Attention to all details is very important for a gusts experience, this restaurant exceeded here. A job very well done!

Such a wonderful experience for a event or casual date night. Pretty pricey but everything is delicious and worth the amount. Add the extra charcutterie and desserts you wont be dissapointed. The service is so quick, informative and super friendly.

The best dining experience I have had in years. We got the 4-course dinner for two, and it was a delightful experience! The Quattro cheese fondue, Caesar salad, Alberta entree and milk chocolate fondue were all amazing. Our server had amazing energy and his suggestions were perfect. I tried mixing the teriyaki sauce with the curry for my steak, and it was SO GOOD! Cant recommend this place highly enough. Lots of food, and we were there for 2 hours.

My wife and I went here for dinner before a movie on our date night. The venue is really warm and inviting. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. The food is absolutely delicious, but at quite a high price point considering how much you get. With 1 drink each, dinner was about $160 after tax but before tip. I went in moderately hungry and came out satisfied, but still looking forward to popcorn at the theater. Dinner service is very long, with 3 courses needing about 40 minutes each. First course has melted cheese with bread and appetizer items to dip. Second course has meats and seafood if you like to cook in broth. Third course has melty chocolate with fruit, brownie bites, and cake bites to dip. This place allows you to be playful with your foods and gives you a long time to talk over dinner, making it ideal for anniversaries, Valentines days, and perfect for those all important third dates.

Food served was way under par for price, meaning most of it looked & tasted like it was bought at Walmart. The half vegetarian sausage they server was definitely bought from any grocery store. After the salad and vegan cheese fondu I was ready to leave, thank goodness the conversation and laughs were good with our family because it was the only thing that saved the evening from being a trainwreck. Soft going bad strawberries, yellowing broccoli, squeeze bottle sauces and small entree portions. Service was slow and as others mentioned they were horrible on drink refills and check ins. The entire place looks and feels like they are very unequipped to handle more than 4 person groups so go as a couple if you have to try it or 4 people max. Mixed up bills, messed up salad orders, missed peoples drinks totally by end of the night and there were times when no one came back to our tables for 15 minutes or more. After 3+ hours of trying the full course I felt pretty mad about the whole experience. Im known for being chill & not fussy, so for me to get on here to complain says something. I love to praise the good and normally just let things slide if its blah but for 80+ per person, just do better please. If you have never had fondu just try to go with a friend or partner if ya feel the need, do not in a group. Otherwise just go somewhere else for now. Vegetarian options: Not a good place for Vegetarians of Vegans, mediocre at best

Have been enjoying the Melting Pot experience for years, my husband and I come for anniversaries, birthdays and have invited friends to check it out. Highly recommend the Fiesta or Classic Alpine cheese fondue, the Steak Lovers cooked in Coq Au Vin style and the Flaming Turtles Chocolate! Dont forget to buy their special seasoning, its great to add in ceaser salads but really tastes good on everything!

My husband and I went for our 27th anniversary. Which this was so perfect because it wasn t a rushed dinner but more of an experience. We went with the big night out so we enjoyed several courses and we re seated in a private intimate corner. The staff were very informative and professional. The food was extremely delicious. It was nearly 3 hours but we enjoyed it so much. The steak and lobster were amazing.

Definitely one of my favourite restaurants the food is amazing! I would recommend asking for Dom as your server, he is so nice, friendly and funny. Best server I ve ever had!

I have been several times. Usually going for a special occasion. Last night we went to celebrate my birthday and every time I have gone I loved it until last night. We ordered some add on s to our dinner and was informed at the time they were due to be served that they had run out of one of the items. So we waited for the others to arrive and after quite a while our waiter came back to inform us they now had sold out of all the desserts special we ordered. I wasn t impressed. We waited for the ones they weren t sold out to arrive and yet never got them. The normal desserts we ordered were frozen the strawberries, pineapple, brownies all frozen and it was such a disappointment. Almost $400 later and I doubt I will go back. The management was aware of the issues and never once came bye the table to offer an apology or anything. I think they need new management.

I left 2 voicemail messages and called 5 times with no answer and no call back. Was looking to book a group reservation. Will not be coming here.

Have eaten here a handful of times and this is the first time we had a disappointing experience. Portion sizes have gotten significantly smaller, everyone left hungry. When you are spending $120 or so for two people this should not happen. Services was not good, ran out of food to dip and by the time a server came around the cheese had burnt to the side oof the pot. When it was time for dessert we immediately ordered not food to did but it never did come. One of the people at our table did not receive there salad and by the time our server came back everyone else was done eating.

Its a little dingy now with a weird smell when you first walk in. Food was ok, I found the bread hard for the cheese fondue and the fruit not very fresh for the chocolate fondue. Our waited was very friendly, but they all follow a script and have no idea how to respond to the people in front of them. Its not what it used to be!

So this review is somewhat torn. While we had an enjoyable night, there was a few things that kind of raised an eyebrow, so to speak. While the atmosphere is okay, the place is starting to get run down. We were there a couple of years back, but this time we noticed all the benches were worn, ripped and taped up. And I understand repairs wouldnt be cheap... but the meal wasnt either. In fact I was surprised how expensive it was. A childs additional portion, she is 4 years old, was $40 for 3 shrimp andn3 chicken pieces. That was just added to our 2 person order, so other than that small plate, nothing else was provided for that. $4 for an iced down pop. While I understand costs increasing, my point here is they are turning a profit. Spend some to clean up the place. Our server was very pleasant as most seemed, but its a very young staff and some habits of younger folks are on display. Greeters on phones. Tables not being cleaned, even by our server. Our menus sat on the table under dishes and plates we stacked. Nothing taken unless we asked. We witnessed a server take 4 glasses of water to a table of 4, and the server put his hands over each glass to position. Youd think after Covid wed have better handling procedures or eatables. The food was fine, presentation was very good. Our server checked on us several times, which is excellent. Our dessert order was brought by a different server who was fantastic and you could tell she had experience. Overall it wasnt a bad experience. The place could use some maintenance and cleanliness, especially the washrooms. Explanations of tye menu could have been better, but that could have just been our server and experience level. The prices were quite high, and while I understand costs, we just didnt feel the food and experience was worth it. Im not suggesting folks dont try the experience, nor am I suggesting we wont intend on going there in the future. It was just not a good as we had hoped.

As a repeat customer, we were very disappointed on the fast food get in and get out feeling at supper. They used to make your cheese fondue at the table. It came already prepared and we didnt see the wine get added, not sure they did. Started with the salad and it all seemed very rushed. Our bills were placed on the table while we were still finishing the chocolate fondue. No coffee for us I guess. Sorry Melting Pot, we wont be back.

I used to go here before the pandemic, this was my first time back in 4 years. however it looks like they are under new management or have neglected what made them a good experience. The server was great, friendly and good banter. However they don t make the food as table side as it used to be, that was a good part of the experiance. We ordered the extra charcuterie board which ended up being pepperoni sticks, cheap salami and stale crackers. Why even offer this if it s terrible quality? The sides that came with the cheese, dinner and dessert were lack luster both in their quality and diversity. The decor of the restaurant is clearly outdated and beat up and in need of an update. However the meat quality that came with the food was great for the main meal. This place used to be a quality great experience. However now it comes off as them trying to maximize profits. If I m paying 200$ for a meal it better be a 200$ meal and experience. Suggest staying away until they can raise their standards again.

Had a great outing with friends and family. I particularly enjoyed the customer service and attention paid to detail. Learnt new types of sauces to be mixed with a variety of foods. The cooking on the spot was just a whole new and enjoyable level of culinary experience. The commitment of staff and management to customers was evident as we received complimentary messages on the occasion of the celebration that we came for..... I recommend you try the tuna and caramel sauce, its really good. There was also family inclusivity as our 2-year-old had a swell time on her baby chair.... Pricing is a little above average, but the quality is worth it. Kid-friendliness: There is availability of kids chairs, which really help to put children dining in a more controlled setting, giving the parent peace of mind and less concern for accidents around heat.

The food is very delicious but customer service sucks. We had someone at our table with a severe banana allergy, we had mentioned it twice and they brought bananas. They had hardly any wine selections and the server never came by once to see if we wanted more drinks. The server only had excuses for the terrible service and took 0 accountability. It was so terrible our table of 9 was going to give a 0% tip (which Ive only done once before) but they added on an 18% gratuity automatically so that option was taken away. Other people we have spoken to have said the same thing, that lately the food has been great but customer service is really really bad.

Took my partner out for a special dinner before he got on a plane to go back home. No regrets. Had such an amazing waitress named Kristina, super friendly, very accommodating, explained everything we asked about, went to the back to make sure they had the desserts we wanted, was just overall friendly and always had a smile! Such a disappointing experience last night at the melting pot in Edmonton. We had been to that chain in Texas, and it was great last night, the food was bland, not much taste to anything. We won t be back.

My wife and I decided to visit this place for the first time with the idea of enjoying the menu and having a fun evening. To our pleasant surprise the place exceeded our expectations in terms of taste, quality and service and I am sure that the great success of our experience was thanks to our waiter Brandon who knows the menu to perfection and shared with us the best suggestions and comments on how to pair the different options and which drinks to choose. Besides being very friendly his service was excellent and we recommend him and the Melting Pot 100%.

We are a little disappointed with our dinner last night. We went to celebrate an anniversary and were sat next to a very rowdy table that was swearing and talk/yelling at each other about controversial topics. We asked the server if it was possible to move and were again sat next to very loud people. The melting pot is supposed to be an intimate dining experience not one where you should be forced to endure other peoples super loud conversations. They moved us again finally to a much quieter area in the romance section which was great. We then got our drinks ordered and went about ordering our dinner. We were told only after we picked our cheese that they were actually out of cheddar... 4/6 of their cheeses are cheddar based. We were left with 2 options, Swiss or spinach dip. We were extremally disappointed as we dont care for either of those two options. The Alpine Swiss seemed like they forgot to add the spices because it was very bland and we had to ask our server to bring us the seasonings because it tasted extremely boring. We then ordered the big night out which comes with Mushroom Sacchetti, Old Bay Shrimp, Teriyaki Sirloin, Filet Mignon, Herb Crusted Chicken & Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna. Only when they brought the meat the tuna was replaced with salmon without our knowledge. Salmon is not a first, second or even third choice of fish I would ever choose and again we werent notified until it was right Infront of us that the menu was incorrect. So we paid for something we didnt end up eating as we dont enjoy the flavor. The facility is also falling apart. The benches are ripped and fixed with tape & patches. The bathroom soap dispenser and toilet paper dispensers are completely off the walls and sitting on the ground/counter and they were very unclean. Although they did offer us complimentary champagne for celebrating our anniversary with them it was still a very expensive meal for a less then average experience.

We came to Melting Pot to celebrate my birthday and it was fantastic. Even though we (family of 4) were seated near a table with a party of 12, we were looked after really well. We all ordered the complete fondue experience which includes cheese fondue, soup/salad, meat fondue entrees and chocolate fondue. Let s start with cheese - we got our two favorite cheeses - Quattro Formaggio and Fiesta served with bread, tomatoes, green apple and broccoli to dip. So yummy. I can eat this all day. Next we all got a choice of salad or the soup of the day which is broccoli cheddar soup. Two of us got the soup and also got the strawberry almond salad and caesar salad. For the meat entree, we ordered the following: - Alberta (Whiskey BBQ Pork*, Roasted Garlic and Pepper Flank*, Chicken Breast*, Seasonal Pasta*) - Land and Sea (Roasted Garlic and Pepper Flank*, Herb Chicken*, Shrimp*, Atlantic Salmon*) - Create your own (Black Truffle Mushroom Sacchetti, Teriyaki Sirloin, Jerk Fillet) - Add on of Black Tiger Prawns. For our cooking style, we got the Mojo (Caribbean-Inspired Broth, Garlic, Cilantro, Citrus). Everything was SO GOOD especially the huge prawns and teriyaki sirloin. It also comes with potatoes, broccoli and mushroom. Last but not the least, we got s mores fondue for dessert! The price tag can be quite high (for 4 person, it was about $250 plus tax and tip) but it s not bad for celebrating a big occasion and for the experience.

you get three courses of do-it-yourself style of food, the atmosphere warms your soul, and the service is not to be taken lightly and its done well and made a lasting impression on me.
