Sabor Restaurant in Edmonton

Lots of tapas. Tried most of everything sharing with our group. Everything was very good to awesome. Dietary restrictions: Very good gluten free options.

We had an amazing dining experience at Sabor and will definitely be returning! The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was lively yet inviting, with moody lighting and a vibrant crowd. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including salad, seafood (mussels, lobster, shrimp), appetizers, and a bottle of wine. Everything was excellent, and we re looking forward to trying the meat options on our next visit!

The food was so delicious brought by excellant waiters and waitresses they were very attentive. Loved the decor and old world atmosphere. It was a great Christmas party, I am sure my husband and I will go back there again soon Happy Holidays to all the staff and owners

Dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Despite it being a -20° Monday night, they were quite busy. Definitely a good sign! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with delicious smells. Another good sign. The restaurant was dimly-lit, warm, cozy and romantic. Perfect for the occasion. The staff were very friendly and Jessica, our server was very attentive. We loved the appies! My favorite was the ricotta stuffed peppers. We ordered mussels and clams and calamari and prawns too. They use good quality seafood %! With that said, I wish we stuck with the seafood for the mains. The steaks... were ok. Husband ordered the AAA Omaha steak, med rare. Funny how its stated on the menu that they dont do their steaks medium well but overcooked husbands steak anyway. Lol Jessica caught it and offered to replace it but husband refused cos it would take too much time and Id probably be done with my dinner by the time it arrived. The manager also approached our table and again offered to replace the steak. Husband declined so the manager gave us complimentary dessert instead. I ordered the ribeye, also med rare. It was cooked well but a bit salty, probably from the chimichurri. Wish they served it on the side instead. NBD. The servings are surprisingly huge! If youre like me and you just want small bites of different things cos you get flavor fatigue quickly, best to go with a group so you can share more dishes. By mid main course we were already so full. We had to get our steaks, risotto, and dessert to go! I enjoyed the chocolate mousse one the most. The cheesecake and pastel de nata were just ok. Our bill came out to $200+ including beer and cocktails. I was slightly disappointed cos of the steaks but would def come back for the tapas, seafood, cocktails and the great service.

The service is truly exceptional warm, attentive, and professional. As for the food, it s nothing short of art on a plate. Have been here many times and I am always amazed by how much I enjoy my time and the food is amazing

Sabor is one of the few restaurants that my husband and I are always willing to venture downtown for. The atmosphere is consistently delightful, and the building s interior has so much character. Most recently, I had the pleasure of attending a private event here, and the experience was exceptional. The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive, and welcoming, and ensured everything seamless and enjoyable from the time we arrived until we left. As always, the food was incredible - my favourite for the night was the gnocchi in cava cream sauce, and my husbands was a tie between the piri piri prawns and the ribeye fillet.

Great food and great atmosphere. The waiter was courteous and guided us through the menu. This is not your typical Brazilian meat skewers by table kind of place. Its a more upscale Brazilian a la carte menu dining experience. Definitely try their breads with dips and paella

Wonderful experience and amazing food. I took my staff there for our holiday dinner, which made for a very nice way to socialize with one another in a relaxed but still upscale setting.

It was an interesting experience to say the least. We were told by the manager when making a reservation that we can only sit for 1hr and 45min because he has to flip the table for the next group of people. Nothing wrong with that, but to tell a guest that they have to flip a table was odd in my opinion. Being in the industry i know what that means, but another guest might not. The food was average. The server kept telling us that we d be blown away. For example my calamari was apparently going to be the best calamari i ever had in my life, but im pretty sure ive had something similar at earls. My risotto was hard. The rest of the food was just okay. 4 people for $600 just didnt feel worth it to me for what we got. Our service was also strange. We were ready to put in our order but was told by our server to wait, because he has to say hi to his other table, even though we did see him talking to them earlier. He didnt talk to us much, even though it wasnt busy until later in the night. I saw him interacting more with his other tables. We felt brushed off almost like we were judged and given a certain kind of service because of it. Were were mindful of the time limit but ultimately ended up staying for over 2 hours because of how slow service was. When i asked for a takeout container and the bill, he proceeded to provide a cushion to the table beside us before waiting a while to return back. It was my friends 30th birthday which was a big deal to us, as well she doesnt get to indulge in Portugese food as much where she lives. Its unfortunate because she was excited to indulge in Portuguese dishes similar to things she ate growing up, but instead we are left with this disappointing memory of this place. When we talked to other staff it was nothing but a pleasant experience. A different server went above and beyond by bringing the baby a strawberries and cream plate while we waited for our food. It was just the people we were directly receiving service from where things fell off. Chairs were oddly shorter than the table. I felt like a kid at the dinner table with how short the chairs were. Atmosphere was beautiful though.

An absolutely incredible Portuguese cuisine experience, for a moment, I almost forgot I was in the prairies and not back in Portugal. Food was amazing and delicious, stuck to Portuguese traditional dishes, wine was divine and the service was the best Ive experienced in the Edmonton area, I even got to meet the owner which added to the overall atmosphere. If you havent already, definitely check out Sabor.

I would give this 4.5. A very good, and quite busy restaurant that is certainly more expensive, but worth it if that s what you re into. I ve been twice now, with seafood and beef mains respectively. Both times the food was cooked perfectly and presented professionally. My favourite thing about this franchise is their cocktail menu - it s great. As long as you know what you re ordering for food or drink, you re going to love it. Because it is busy the atmosphere can suffer, sometimes making it harder to hear, etc. but it s great and excellent service. This place is highly recommended for a date, fancier dinner with family, business, etc. You have to try this if you live in Edmonton. For me it s probably going to be a regular. Parking: There s a parking garage that s affordable and easy. 1 min away.

We sit on the lower level, food was good enough, however the place is so tight that you cant move much. Pricing is considered overpriced compared to some places that offers sane service. Fir example their whole fish. I had similar quality with a larger quantity in a family restaurant named pharaohs restaurant just over calgary trail and I paid only half of what I paid there. Place is over crowded and food takes a while until they served. Often busy and I prefer more quite places. Hard to find parking Dietary restrictions: Not enough options for gluten free meals

We had a really nice time at this restaurant! The food was great, and the vibe was just right for our small celebration. Our waitress, Alda, was super friendly and had some solid recommendations on the menu. I m really glad we picked this spot. Food was great as well, highly recommend the Octopus.

I truly cant say enough good things about Sabor. My husband and I have chosen to dine here a few times over the years for special occasions. Most recently at the end of September we had our wedding dinner here with our parents and siblings and everything was amazing, from beginning to end. Wonderful service, amazing food, perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and celebratory end to a very special day.

One of the best dinners Ive had in the city. Did the dinner for two and every course was delicious. Our waiter, Josh, was very attentive, had some great banter, and definitely added to the experience. The meal was pricy, but worth it. An excellent choice for a special occasion or a fancy night out.

Loved every minute! Went for my birthday dinner just me and my husband November 15. The place itself is very beautiful but the food is hands down the best weve had. We started with the octopus and bread with the pate. Never have we had such tender octopus and the black olive tapenade complimented it beautifully. Husband had the spinalis steak freaking amazing!!! I throughly enjoyed the seafood paella. Service was also terrific. Gave perfect wine pairing and wasnt overly intrusive. Was a perfect evening. Thank you we will be back

Unfortunately I m left disappointed in this place as I had higher hopes! I was quite excited to experience Portuguese food for my birthday, and travelling from Calgary to do so. It started when I made a reservation over the phone on November 4th for 5 people for November 15th. I was told by Cory that the latest they could accommodate my party was 5pm and that we needed to be out of there no later than 6:45pm because they needed to turn our table. I was a little dumbfounded to the lack of professionalism, as I understand the business point of view of turning tables, however found it too cut and dry to state so to a guest. We had a punctual arrival, and Adrien was our server. We unfortunately were quite disappointed in our service for the evening as we felt not as important as the other tables. We were asked if we had any questions over the menu and they were answered diligently, however when we stated we were ready to order our Starters, Adrien turned to us and said I need to greet my other table before that as he walked away quickly. Leading us through service with a not so great start. I also understand leaving space between courses to allow guests to enjoy what they are eating, however our space was way too long leaving us feeling forgotten. We asked for Adrien to bring us a To Go container for one of our dishes, which he said he would bring. However he assisted the table right next to ours with a cushion for their seat long before bringing us the to go container. In which we noticed that we had asked first. It was little details like this, and very long space that turned our dining experience into a quite disappointing one! We couldn t abide by the 6:45pm cut off time due to lack of attention to our table. Otherwise Food was good and the atmosphere of the establishment was warm. However with our service experience, I can safely say it definitely put a damper on our desire to go back.

Best seafood restaurant in Edmonton! One of the best I have ever been to anywhere. Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating for gluten allergies. Did not miss out on any of the dishes. Even the gluten free bread was excellent!

Came here for my birthday dinner with my husband and the food was amazing, so flavourful and very yummy but i do have complains about the staff acting weird and uninviting, as well as the waiter who judged us for everything we ordered even tho we ordered what was good for our budge not a expensive platter that he kept recommending then being negative when i ordered something simple. And even tho we did end up spending a lot of money i did still tip what i could but as i went to the bathroom right before leaving i heard the waiter talk to another waiter about how i barley tipped and how we should just leave because this isn t our place to be, honestly felt like he was being a bit racist towards me and my husband with the way he spoke to us than everyone else The food was amazing indeed and thank you to the chef who created such master pieces but due to the service, atmosphere & staff we will not be returning!!

Lovely host, waiter and staff! The food is amazing and is a great place for authentic portuguese food. I added that our reservation would be for a birthday and they even put a sweet birthday card for when we arrived and candle in the dessert. If only I had more room to try more dishes!

Good service. Food was decent. The seafood options were better than most in Edmonton. The rest of the food was average. Steak was actually pretty good. I see a lot of complaints of overpriced but for what is portrayed as a more upscale restaurant I would feel its average (although I do feel most upscale restaurants are overpriced in general). If Im looking for an upper scale seafood tapas place, Id come here again.

I was visiting edmonton and took my cousin and her husband here. I thought the food was pretty good tho my lobster wasnt very flavourful. The selection of tapas is limited. The prices seemed reasonable for the portion size. I was unfortunately surprised when I walked out and not one person thanked me for coming in for dinner and spent over $200, while my guests were a number of times. That didnt impress me very much so I wont be bringing guests here again. Bon Appetite!

We were lucky enough to have a family style dinner in their private room at Sabor. The food was all wonderful and they were able to accommodate gluten free very well. The only item they couldnt make gluten free was the gnocchi. Everything pictured was gluten free: Gluten free buns Scallop on a cucumber salad Piri Piri prawns Piri Piri Chicken Lobster risotto Vegetables Tenderloin steak in a sauce reduction

the volume of food is a lot and price is reasonable. the restaurant is really big and crowded so a bit noisy and have to wait for a while to have food served during weekend nights. my boyfriend and i like food here other than seafood which is funny.

DO NOT BOOK A BIRTHDAY DINNER HERE IF YOU WANT TO DO YOUR BIRTHDAY CAKE AFTER DINNER. We brought two cakes actually for our friend who was celebrating a milestone birthday. No one said a word when we brought the cakes in about not being able to consume the cakes there. In fact, for completely unknown and inexplicable reasons, the hostess made us wait while she sat the gentleman that came BEHIND us, because she supposedly couldnt find our reservation. In actuality half of our group had already arrived and been seated. So basically the hostess had no idea what she was doing, told us nothing about the cake that we had brought in, and took 10 minutes to seat us when our group was already there at the reserved table. After dinner, the server plopped the cakes we brought down and walked away. We had to ask for plates and a knife before they explained they wont let us consume the cakes in the restaurant. They claimed that they had had bad experiences before with customers bringing outside food and therefore they do not allow the consumption of any outside food at the restaurant. I have had birthday celebrations at many high end places, like Lux, Chop, etc that all allow people to bring a cake. They said we could take pictures with the cake, but nothing else. What even is the point of a birthday cake if you dont light up candle and sing Happy birthday???? We told the server we just want to pay so we could go to a friends house to have the cake. That process took another 30 minutes. Overall service was very slow. Sure, a few of us were slow eaters, but it took a total of 3 hours for us to get through appetizers and dinner! A good chunk of this time had to do with slow service. The server literally walked away from my friend in the middle of her order or question three times. As she tried to order appetizers, he launched into telling us what the specials were that night. My interupted was the birthday girl, and she was clearly the birthday girl because she had balloons tied to her chair. We had to ask for things like more water. He did not stop to check how we were doing despite walking by our table several times. He did not seem to care less about the fact that it was someones birthday and only said a brief happy birthday after we paid the bill. When they finally came to tell us that we could not consume the cake they were quite abrasive about that and did not do anything like even bring a tiny sliver of some kind of dessert they serve with a candle in it for her. I have eaten at many restaurants where they will at least bring a tiny bit of cake or something when someone is celebrating something. The last time I ate at Cafe Amore for a goodbye party while changing jobs, the server brought a little slice of cake and wrote good luck on the plate with icing. In contrast, service tonight felt abrasive and pretentious. It was almost as though because the tip was mandatorily built in due to the party size, they did not care to offer good service. The food was fine as always, except the paella rice was very very hard and hurt my teeth to chew. I have eaten at Sabor many times in the past and previously I would have strongly recommended it. Unfortunately this time they have lost me as a customer permanently because something about the whole night just did not feel right. Many years ago Edmonton had a limited number of fine dining options and Sabor was among the top. Judging by the fact that the restaurant was nowhere near full tonight compared to times I have been here in the past, other people in this city have realized that there are better options at this price point. At $53 for a steak with no sides, you have to add value to the food somehow with the service or atmosphere, which this restaurant had neither of. Overall Im sorry to say I previously wrote a positive review but now must post this rant instead.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary here last night and had such a wonderful time. It was the best restaurant we ever went to, best food we ever tasted and at the end of the night we both agreed it was our best dinner date we ever had! Our server Josh was outstanding, so knowledgeable on the menu, very hospitable and friendly, and also allowed us to have one on one time. He was wonderful and made our night so much more special! Definitely would recommend coming to Sabor!!

I ordered the cod and the oysters and clams both of them were salty not really what I had expected from the place.

Great atmosphere, great staff, and great food. I kept it simple with halibut and new potatoes, with bread and cheese to start, but every morsel was amazing.

We came here based on our friends recommendations, and it didnt disappoint. We had the most amazing risotto and might be our favorite so far. We also had the calamari, which was amazing. Our server, Jessica, was great! We highly recommend this restaurant. Vegetarian options: risotto

Poor service received for the first time @Sabor. Been going to Sabor for many years for its excellent dishes so obviously I must take visitors/out of town guests here to make an impression. The food was once again delicious but the service received from our server was shockingly poor. Maybe he was having an off day but Quinn (our server) was very argumentative when I mentioned that our table has no preference as to which order to serve our dishes. (Our table was hungry and had no particular order for appetizers or entrees to arrive first. ) The atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable after the heated discussion hence receiving a 3/5 score.

Reason for 4 stars is the pricing. The tiny tiny piece of fish I got didn t even come with a side at 36.00. Food was really good tho but definitely won t be returning for that price point. I wanna leave full.

Was not impressed with the food or the service. We were a table of 6. We arrived at 6 and they were not busy. We waited a good 60 minutes for our food after we ordered. When they did bring our food , they forgot the main for one of the people in our party, and the waiter disappeared, it took us another 10 mins to flag someone down. I get much better service and food a Chop just down the street.

Great seafood menu and selection of wine and cocktails

I had the Iceland Char with a side of lobster risotto. It was an excellent meal - one of my favorite risotto ever! The server was incredibly kind. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a good seafood spot in Edmonton :)

A truly magnificent experience. If you havent visited Sabor yet, you are missing out. The food, spectacular. The service, outstanding and truly 5 star. Annie, our guide through this experience was a pleasure and well versed in the wine and menu options, selections and pairings. Cory Levy, the Wine Director, a stand up gentleman with a sense of humor and welcoming approach. Will absolutely be back and recommend to anyone visiting the city with an affinity for excellent food and captivating atmosphere.

Everything was very tasty and filling. The staff is good, we were seated at a table that I didnt really like, but a table next to it became vacant and we were transferred there without any problems. There are a lot of people, so it is better to reserve a table.

Had a birthday celebration here and food was amazing! Mussels and clams was MUST EAT - super juicy and sauce was plate-lickin-good!

Amazing food. Seafood Paella was really fresh. Chicken chorizo paella was awesome too. We had a fantastic family dinner here. Very kid friendly! Waiter brought our little one berries and whip cream and he was delighted! Edit: we returned a few weeks ago when we were back in the city. Food is still delicious as always

I love Sabor it s always consistently great but last night we went there for our anniversary and it was pretty exceptional. Usually lobster in Alberta is kind of a miss but this was cooked perfectly and not rubbery at all. Same with the calamari it was perfect. Thanks Sabor for another great meal!

Me and the hubby went here for the first time for our 13 year anniversary and I have to say its definitely a new favorite,, the atmosphere was phenomenal,, our server was sweet, polite and attentive an absolute sweet girl, the food was amazing,, well worth the higher price,,, Ive recommended it to 4 of our friends already,, highly recommend especially for a special occasion,,, you wont regret it ,,, im still in awe of the atmosphere,, Thank you, sabor, for the amazing night .

Piri piri prawns are fantastic!

My husband and I went to Sabor for dinner two nights in a row, we are from Grande Prairie and have no good seafood restaurants there. So, every year when we have to come to Edmonton for medical appointments we always book at Sabors. The service and food was exceptional, as usual. The halibut was fantastic and so was the mussels and lobster risotto. The desert was equally fantastic. Thank you Leino for making our dinners both so very special. Weve been visiting Sabor for a few years, the food has always been the draw. However, on our recent visit we had Matthew serving us and he was phenomenal. Great food and great service. Kudos to Matthew for being so friendly and making our dinner that much more enjoyable. Food

Incredible food and service!! Everything is delicious. I have been here a few times and the service has always been top notch! However, the back area is a little too dark, it was hard to see the menu. Music can be a little loud back there too, hard to converse. It was our first time back there. It was nice to have the privacy but better lighting is definitely needed.

My family and I were here tonight and I must say besides the great food, I need give the biggest shout out to our server tonight. Jeff!! He was above and beyond any expectation! He was pleasant, friendly, funny, interactive. On the ball for ever little bit of out experience and incredible with his people skills, interacting with the kids, making them feel welcome in a somewhat of out of place environment. If I could give him all the stars I would. If you have a chance to go, I really hope he s your server! 10/10 recommend him along with this restaurant. I spoke to the manager after our visit and he was super pleasant and appreciative of the words I spoke of him and assured me he would relay the message. I am obsessed with SABOR. I am not from Edmonton but visit a few times a year and SABOR is always on the list! Tonight was no except, our server was amazing, the wine . Perfect pairing and the tasting menu was just YUM! Incredible. Being a Calgarian it pains me to say nice things about Edmonton but SABOR is it, maybe the best Mediterranean cuisine I ve had in North America. So delicious. Everything we ate was amazing presentation, preperation and taste. All dishes were large generous portions. Service was exquisite- best weve ever had in Alberta. Had clams, piri piri calamari, whole catch of the day with lobster risotto, lamb chops, with Portuguese Verde wine

Definitely want to get a reservation. This place is busy for a very good reason. Great atmosphere and food to make the evening memorable. Impeccable service. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten-free options are available.

Had an amazing experience here with my girlfriend. The food is always great but our server Bella made this meal exceptional. She was very warm, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor.

Visiting from the U.S. for my cousin s wedding and I must say the atmosphere was wonderful, food was spectacular and the service was beyond amazing!! Btw I had the curry vegan in the bowl, so there are vegan options

Drove from Calgary to spend wifeys big day here, their Empanadillas were really delicious!! Paella is my favourite dish and here in Sabor you will never get disappointed. All I can say is.. The Best Paella in Alberta The Ribeye steak was equally good as well as the chicken mista. Big thanks to Eugenio for the awesome treatment to us all the time and Richard for the wonderful service and from the reception desk too! Cant wait for our next visit in Edmonton and surely we will drop by again

Fantastic food ... presentation, temperature, texture, and taste were exquisite. Service was outstanding - attentive without hovering. Our server was personable, humorous, and professional. Vegetarian options: Salad, gnocchi and curried veggies were well appointed. Wheelchair accessibility: Floors are uneven, making the use of the walker a bit more difficult. There are 8-10 stairs with sturdy handrails upon entry.

Overall experience was tainted because they don t have b day cake but wouldn t allow us to bring one in for my daughter. Treated us kind of rudely and literally kicked us out the minute our 2 hours was up. For the price of this was expecting a little different service level and not to be treated with disdain.

Had a small wedding reception in one of their private rooms. Everyone had a great time and food / service was very good.

Went here to celebrate a special occasion. The food was excellent, our whole group loved it. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful in accommodating our group. 5 star experience, will definitely be back to celebrate in the future.

My sister and niece went to Sabor for the first time and everything about the experience was amazing! Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and accommodating. My toddler niece was in a bit of a fussy mood, but the staff interacted with her and was happy to give her a great experience as well. The food was incredible and they had so many options for someone with a gluten allergy and unable to consume alcohol. The portion sizes and flavours of everything was great! The prices are higher end, but the food is worth it and we would definitely love to go back. I loved the food, the atmosphere, and staff. I would definitely recommend Sabor, even if just for a special occasion.

I have been going to Sabor for over 10 years and Ive never had a bad experience. My wife and I had our wedding dinner there and we will continue to support Sabor and all the Bodegas!

Always amazing

It s so so good, the octopus was good to perfection and so tender! Seafood panella was so big for single portion. And oh my, the rice texture is amazing with a bit crusty but still moist. Want to try everything on the menu and wish I can bring this restaurant home to Toronto. YUM! Thank you Chef!!!

The best of Edmonton

Excellent service and delicious menu

The experience is really great and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoy the mussels and tapas. We decided to go with the croquettes and cod fish fritters for our tapas and we both loved it. Also the atmosphere is pretty nice with some exotic music playing, although it can get a little noisy at times, but overall is great. One small improvement could be made with the Caipirinha. My boyfriend is Brazilian, he feels that its not quite authentic and a bit bitter instead of having the taste of fresh lime and cane sugar. However, the waitress was great! She asked us why we didnt like it and happily let us change to another drink.

Josh was an impeccable server and the food was amazing. We had a specialty Portuguese wine that didn t disappoint. We had the seafood paella and the steak which were both 10/10. We ended the evening with the GF chocolate cake and espresso martinis. It was incredible. Thank you again, Josh. Side note: great restaurant for gluten free/celiacs just let the server/kitchen know.

Fantastic restaurant! Hosted a dinner party and had the plated dinner with charcuterie board. I had pri pri shrimp the sea bass and cheese cake. All really good

Had a large dinner gathering (20+) with work colleagues. Service was slow but the waiters and waitresses were good. Manager was very unprofessional and not accommodating to simple requests. Changed my overall opinion of the establishment. Food was otherwise good.

Service and appetizers were great. The mains though I just think that $42 for two octopus tentacles with veggies is way too expensive. The Bacalhau Frito was good but it could have more flavour, considering it is a Portuguese restaurant. The deserts were ok. Passionfruit cheesecake was awesome, chocolate mouse was good while the egg tart (pastel de natas) tasted more like a French toast than actually the famours Portuguese desert. 7 out of 10 this time. I will visit them again for the appetizers and to try their fish.

My recent visit to Sabor was simply phenomenal. The seafood was exquisite, and Matthews service was exceptional. He guided us through the menu with expertise. From the fresh catches to the flavourful dishes, every aspect of our meal was superb. I highly recommend Sabor, especially with Matthews attentive service. Well definitely be back for more!

Love this place. Always great service, beautiful ambience, delicious food, and fair prices. Had octopus dish, king salmon, scallops, mussels, mushroom and lobster risotto. Chicken and duck mousse was divine as well. Will be back for sure!

This place was incredible. We had a large group of people and had our own private room. We were served family style for 6 courses of food including dessert and it was absolutely incredible. The waitresses were nothing but amazing and even laughed with us at jokes as we poked our team around the table. They were complete professionals and I would not hesitate to go back. What an incredible experience and the food was the best seafood I have had in years. Price was good, food was better and I will definitely go back.

Quite possibly the best restaurant in Edmonton! Most recently, we had a 3 course meal and every component was top notch.

We paid 320$ for mediocre food at best.. overpriced and over cooked sea food.. We think the octopus made us sick..

The food was overly salty (insanely so), bland, and all one texture. We had some tapas, and three fish types and the risotto. The fish was okay, but small size and had no real flavour profile beyond itself. The risotto was insanely salty, the lobster overcooked and rubbery. The appetizers were just mushy. For the price this place is not worth it. The service was slow, even for refills and to pay the bill. I think the atmosphere could be nice on a non hockey night. It was super booked and loud and they were blasting music. They have a side section that seemed like it would be nicer.

Always our go to for special occasions

Always a nice treat to dine at Sabor. The food is consistently excellent, I highly recommend the lobster risotto and dont skip the appetizers! We recently tried the lamb chops and it was perfectly cooked and tender.

1st had seafood Paella for me , and Chilean Seabass for hubby also Grilled piri piri prawn. All food are great! My hubby which is not big fans of seafood, he says his food is delicious! Definitely we will be back again to try another dish

Stopped here with a group of 6 before heading to watch Dune II. Our server Richard was fantastic! Very funny and delightful! Everything he recommended was fantastic. We had the seafood family dinner for 3 of us. Was alot of food, and not only alot it was amazingly delicious! The picture is of the lobster Risotto with the Arctic Char and Cod. I will be coming back here for sure. Nothing bad about my visit in the slightest.

Today I went to try this restaurant, and Im so glad to , I order duck carpaccio and manchego cheese to start, was the perfect match with a Chardonnay, the duck carpaccio was really good marinated an the texture its sublime and the contrast with the real manchego cheese blow your mind. For the main curse I have the grilled octopus with piquillo peppers, I match with a tempranillo, the octopus was grilled to perfection, the outside was roasted wit a hint of rosemary, and the texture a little robbery on the skin prepare your mouth for the inside ,so tender and melt in your mouth, in combination wit the asparagus spinach and piquillo peppers sauted make you touch the heaven. The service can be a little slow,but I understand the place was full. I didnt try any dessert because the portions are big enough and I was satisfied. Ill be back for sure

i was being served by a man named gonzo, the worst experience i have EVER HAD IN A RESTAURANT!!! Gonzo was beyond rude to this one young lady that obviously was new but she s was absolutely amazing, very kind and tried her hardest! I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT in this establishment.

NEVER COME HERE!! this was the worst experience i have ever had a restaurant! I went for dinner with my friend and I was served by a girl name Jada. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, I could tell how hard she was trying her hardest she was obviously new. Yet a man named Gonzo was so incredibly rude to her, I have never seen someone be so disrespectful and unprofessional to another coworker. it was absolutely disgusting, plus management seemed to do nothing about it. learn how to treat your employees or coworkers or work from home.

We made a reservation 2 weeks ago to celebrate our friend s birthday and we were phoned minutes before us getting there to let us know that we had a 110 minute limit on our table. We were rudely told by the hostess when we were seated that we had to leave by 8:00 because they needed the table. We were rudely reminded again and again at 7:50, ladies, you have 7 minutes left at this table ! It was embarrassing and rude as we were celebrating our friend, Noelle s birthday. Last night was not New Year s Eve and I didn t realize that there was a 2 hour limit on our table. Other tables that were there before us were not asked to leave. It was just really embarrassing when you want to take a friend out for dinner. I love the food there but I will never go back there again!

Amazing food, fantastic service

We ll start with the bad. Ordered the spinalis. Was the worst steak I ve ever had. My guess is, the steak was frozen and they microwaved it, to thaw it out. Couldn t finish it because it was like rubber. Our waiter forgot our truffle butter. So our bread was cold by the time it came. So we had to wait for fresh bread. Then he forgot to bring my daughters Asparagus. I would never get a steak from them again Very disappointing. Better steak at the Keg Or Japanese Village. You could actually find a better steak anywhere. The good was the seafood and the atmosphere. The desert was excellent also

We have been here for a company event. Everything was top notch! In regards of the service I want to say a bit. The customer service at Sabor was amazing. Very professional (!) and friendly. They were so supportive and helpful, its a pleasure to get spoiled there. Well earned 5 STARS for the food and atmosphere. But the SERVICE earned 6 ****** STARS.

Food was excellent, albeit a bit pricey. Nice atmosphere. Service also excellent, except for the part where we were asked to finish up because another party was waiting for our table. That ruined the otherwise fabulous evening for us. Not sure if we can recommend this restaurant.

We started coming to Sabor a few years ago to celebrate major events. The service, the food, the atmosphere - everything has been top notch. This Valentines we were blown away by the dessert - the Red Velvet cake was the best weve had. We complemented the dessert to our server, who told us it was the recipe prepared by one of the other servers for the Valentines Day menu. The dessert was wonderfully presented and perfectly executed.

Went for the valentines meal. I ordered the scallops for an appetizer, steak and lobster for a main, and the assorted dessert. Was off to a rough start with an exceptionally long wait time for my scallops, I remained understanding as things happen with the place being packed. My initial impression was inattentive service but the server and manager remained communicative throughout. They made my wait worth it, showering me in extra food, drinks and bread. They seemed genuinely apologetic and concerned. I was having a great time regardless but I understand it can be stressful for them. Over all the atmosphere was wonderful, the food was very good, and the service was top notch in their ability to rectify a seemingly bad situation. This is a one off incident and I wouldn t expect it to be a common occurrence. I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. Also, the 20 year porto is excellent. Everyone makes mistakes, what separates the great from the average is their ability to handle said mistake. And how they handled it showed me that they re true professionals and care about the customer. Thankyou for a wonderful night!

Food was great bill was nearly 450.00 for food and some drinks before the tip, so we didn t hesitate to spend . Waiter was leaning against the bar too long,when he was needed( waited too long for him to come back to table) we were there for a special birthday and he knew it, when four in the group ordered deserts he didn t offer to take care of the dessert for the birthday person. We are a family of foodies and gather often(for any reason) and found that to be a thorn in our side, so to speak.
