The Canadian Brewhouse (Edmonton Downtown) in Edmonton

I got the pasta which was very undercooked so I couldn t eat it. I tried to finish because I hate wasting food but didn t even get through more than a few bites because who wants to eat crunchy pasta? Also nobody came to ask how the food was for like twenty minutes so I wouldn t have time to wait for another dish. I normally wouldn t complain but they didn t even take it off the bill. I normally love the brewhouse but this location suckssss

We waited 30+ minutes to be noticed, another 15 for a menu and 15 for our drinks - which were wrong. After another wait to order our food and when it finally arrived our drinks were empty again. We ordered more - and waited again close to 30 minutes to get them. At one point, I walked up to the bar and saw them sitting there. When we finally got them, the waitress was picking up on our vibes of frustration, she kept apologizing for service being slow & busy. I used to work at the brewhouse, there were definitely enough waitresses on staff for it to run a lot better, seemed like an excuse. We were late for our event because of this.

Unfortunately this is my least favorite Brewhouse location. The booths are always sticky, the floors are sticky, and the washrooms only ever have one sink working. Makes me kind of question hygiene. I only come to this location for lobsterfest with my friend like once a year. I try to frequent the other Brewhouse locations. The servers have always been really nice at this location.

I can not say enough about server Kaitlyn . She was so personable and kind and welcoming. Justin the bartender was also fantastic getting our drinks out well made and in good time. Sincerely Kaitlyn was the best server we have encountered. Pre Covid times, I just can not commend her enough! She absolutely made our night when we visited after a concert at Rodgers Place well done Kaitlyn and Justin.

Absolute delight. The staff was fantastic. Had a great laugh, enjoyed every minute. The manager Colby answered all our small town questions about the area. Had a brand new server. We were her first table and was such a sweetheart we actually didn t want to leave for the function we came for. Faith and Colby were delightful! 5 stars.

Ive had the pleasure of being served by Taylor at The Canadian Brewhouse, and I have to say she s an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, she made sure I felt welcome and taken care of. Her attention to detail, friendly attitude, and genuine care for her customers really set her apart. Taylor was quick with recommendations, and everything she suggested hit the mark. She made sure our drinks were never empty and checked in just the right amount to make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Its clear she enjoys what she does, and it shows in the quality of her service. If youre heading to The Canadian Brewhouse, I highly recommend asking for Taylor you wont be disappointed Parking: seems odd to have to note - but CBH has free parking, I have to pay to park for lunch at most DT restaurants and that sucks.

Came here after a concert and Justin was the bartender that served us. Hes absolutely amazing. Super friendly and suggested an amazing drink which was delicious. Glad we stopped in for a drink.

Attended the brewhouse on 109st before sam hunt concert ordered water and got a sprite.. waitress never gave us forks i grab them my self and then the bathroom looked like it has never been cleaned.. i have been to brewhouse a lot and this will not be one i will ever vist again do to bad service.. and iam a regular customer at brewhouse fort sask which is very clean and way better service

The food was alright, I have for sure received more toppings on nachos elsewhere. Drinks and food were slow to come out even though it wasn t very busy and the server had a bit of attitude. Forgot quac at first as well.

Been to tons of locations and just moved into the area and was so relieved so find great staff and service. Stylish Tatum and an Aussie bartender took great care of us and were super on point. Will definitely be back! Cheers

Kaitlyn is amazing and really sweet. I got a order with bacon bymistake but she fixed it for free and have me new garlic fingers. Things happen, but the way we fix it is important. Kudos to kaitlyn.

Had Taylor as our server on the patio she was the absolute best. Would definitely come back to see her.

We were on the patio which was packed and yet our server Zoey excelled as our server. She was patient and answered our questions about drinks and gave us recommendations. Our food came out quickly and so did our drinks. The food was also absolutely delicious, I got the deep fried pickles and tater tots which was very good. Recommend the deep fried pickles!!

CASS IS THE BEST!

I went with 2 friends and while the food is really good the service was awful!!! I asked for ice tea with no ice and she brought me an ice tea with ice over and over again. Another friend was just drinking water but brought her a pop over and over again and billed her for it - she was told that she was not drinking pop 3 times. Our server spilled water all over our table, and the kitchen staff burnt one of our meals and then the person had to wait While we got a bit of a discount we didn t enjoy the service at all. FYI - if you sign up for their app you get free nachos and for your birthday month and free garlic fingers, you have only 30 days to redeem and you will not have a grace period! I WILL not return to location or another locations!!! There are better restraints around!

Went here for the fifth game of the Stanley Cup playoffs! Whenever Edmonton made a goal there would be red police sirens flashing and horns blaring and utter pandemonium! Inside AND outside! So much energy is so much joy! Had a wonderful time and will be going back for game seven. Had the presence of mind to reserve a table before we left lol! I believe! Go OILERS GO!

Waitress was not very good. She did give free food for the wrong food ordered which was nice, but slow on getting drinks, slow at coming back to table and we had six people Obnoxious table behind us with a guy swearing and yelling nonstop (and it was noon and not late at night).

Just wanted to send a thank you out to The Canandian Brewhouse downtown staff for the fabulous treatment of our group that on a Stanley Cup night accomodated our group from 8 people to over 20! They were so kind and helpful and welcomed all of us even though they were at their busiest time of year. The patio was amazing, would have liked a bigger tv though....next year ??? Lets hope !!! Also our waitress Ally J was spectacular in every way! Ally worked so hard to make our evening special and we just wanted to thank her for everything, she was a jem!!

One of the worst brewhouse locations in the city. Slow service and had to track down the waitress multiple times to put in an order. Everyones pizza was overcooked and the restaurant has a a bit of a weird smell to it. Probably wont be back here

I ordered a mexican bulldog on Canada Day. Thats how i roll. Not the best bulldog ive had but its booze and beer. Nuff said. Some guy sitting at the bar wanted to fight me. He didnt say anything or look my way much but i could tell by the way he tried to act all calm like he was enjoying his beer in peace. Dead give away that he wanted to see these hands fly. After trying hard to make eye contact unsuccessfully i asked for my bill. I waited outside in the parking lot for at least 5 minutes but that coward never showed his ugly face. Maybe hes heard the legendary stories of Billybob the great. Who knows. Next time i wont put up with such disrespect. Sorry if i scared everyone in the place with my badassery. I cant help it. Thug life chose me.

I just went to The Canadian Brewhouse with my friends to watch the Oilers playoff game, and it was such a fun night! Theyve got all this cool hockey stuff around that really made it feel like the perfect spot for a game. When we got there, our server Victoria welcomed us with a huge smile and super quick service. We got a great table by the window and made sure we were comfy. Victoria was amazing all night she was there whenever we needed anything but wasn t too pushy. We checked out the menu, and it had a lot of good stuff. I grabbed the Brewhouse wrap (seriously tasty, btw), and my friends got things like honey garlic wings and a steak sandwich. Victoria suggested we start with the nachos, and they were so good! Loaded with cheese and all the good stuff! Victoria also helped us pick out beers. She nailed our tastes and suggested some really great ones that we hadnt tried before. Overall, our night at The Canadian Brewhouse was awesome. The food was great, the vibe was chill, and Victoria made sure we had everything we needed. Its the perfect place to watch a game or just hang out. Definitely going back soon!

Clean and food was good. Service was way too slow and uncoordinated. Had to keep asking for refills, for dirty dishes to be removed, and to order more. Reservation seating was accurate and held for us.

Great food and staff, too much oilers stuff, need to appease those who don t have a crush on Connor mc David, I understand it things in customers but it s driving away long term ones.

Went there for an oilers game and was extremely underwhelmed by the brutally confused staff, multiple orders that came out wrong, bills that were confused numerous times and staff messing around and carrying each other through the bar. It honestly wasnt even that busy compared to the other venues in the area and the reason why was clearly displayed. Will never recommend or return. Used to be a great place to catch a game.

Cody and Morgan were amazing. They slayed the night away. The inception was awesome. 10/10 would recommend. This team slayyed. Jocelyn was also amazing, Sebastian and Tatum were also extremely helpful :). Stephan was pretty cool too. They made me feel like I was at home. Colby was better than all of them combined. He was way cuter than all the guys.

Good food and drink selection. Not cheap. Went with friends during a hockey game and this guy came around about 8 times pressuring us to buy his lousy 50-50 tickets. Like dude we came to have fun and watch the game not get accosted to gamble. Really spoiled the experience, were definitely going someplace else for the next game.

The food was good. Our waitress was a bit slow forgot thing. But found out she was fairly new.

Horrible experience. Made a reservation for 10 individuals a week prior and also followed up for confirmation twice. The establishment only provided seating for 4 people with a TV that was not working. Also, politely asked for assistance from the manger who refused to discuss the situation. I would not recommend anyone coming here for the foreseeable future.

Last week for game 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs was the first time I visited this establishment. Wow! What an atmosphere! Crazy loud, energetic, great staff, good specials. Before the Oilers game and after every Oilers goal, a semi truck horn was pulled by staff, and boy did it blare loud and proud. If you are looking for a rough place, The Canadian Brewhouse is perfect for you. Go Oilers!

Went with a friend for a quick bite to eat. Front sign said wait to be seated, finally had a server come over and ask if we were waiting for something Seems as though their sign means nothing. We asked for a booth and she said they were all reserved for the playoff game. She was able to get us one but in that process the bartender saw us approaching and quickly ran to the booth and slapped a reserved sign on it. We ended up seating anyway because we would be in and out before the game started. Our actual server, Victoria, was extremely disengaged and had such a sour attitude the entire time. It seemed as though we were doing her a disservice by being there. Did not feel welcomed by her at all and didn t even know the menu. While eating, the same bartender came by and basically asked us why we were sitting there when it was reserved. This entire experience was horrible and the restaurant was EMPTY the entire hour we were there. I understand reserving tables for an event but why turn away paying customers before the reservation? Will not be returning.

Nice patio

If you want to watch an Oilers game or any other game, dont come to this bar. The quality of the TVs are terrible! you cant see the puck or the red lines, while the blue lines are very strong. A TV configuration problem that could be easily resolved, but it seems like the bar doesnt care about that. note: excellent service

If you visit on a hockey night where Edmonton is playing, expect very slow service...and I guess thats to be expected. Otherwise, its amazing...all of it.

Do not go here to watch sports! We reserved a table to watch Game 7 against Vancouver and half the TVs werent working properly. They were so bright that you couldnt see the pucks, lines etc. When I asked if they could turn the brightness down or fix them, they just said they cant and they tried already. We left at first intermission to a different bar and I know we werent the only ones.

TVs in here are all terrible. If you plan on watching the game I recommend you go anywhere else. Cant comment on anything else . Atmosphere

Went to get cheap wings and soda on a Wednesday, got cheap service too. Asked for ranch twice and we didnt get it(they werent busy). We were asked to show ID twice when we said we werent having alcohol, been to other Canadian brewhouses without them asking for ID so what was special about this one ?

I rate the food 5 stars only because they have an amazing caramel poutine that is absolutely to die for and the service was incredible . Ally was amazing and she deserves a raise

It was busy in fairness. The food was colder when I got it and we waited a long time for water and other drinks.

We were at this location today and we had Kaitlyn as our server. They got super slammed half way through our visit and both Kaitlyn and Brendon were absolutely amazing!! The food and drinks were top notch! I strongly suggest this location over any other in the city! Great job all!

Normally I go to west end location but the guys wanted to meet downtown. This location is bad, service was horrible... food, 40oz steak was 20oz of fat. Just not a good experience overall.

Almost left before our drink order as we had no service. Then, we sat for 30 minutes after we were done our food before we got our bill.

The place is run down. The bathrooms are gross. The service is ok, but there isnt a great customer experience here, which is driven by leadership. Im assuming they have poor leadership at this location. The food is the same at every location, mediocre at best.

Justin and Kaitlyn were fantastic, super attentive and sociable. I got the wings and even though I couldnt use my wing card on a Thursday, I had an absolute blast. Was able to talk shop with Justin and watch the game while I sat at the bar. Even though its not as busy as it used to be, its a fantastic Brewhouse to enjoy. Highly recommend if youre wanting more of a quiet night (not on UFC days) while still enjoying the Brewhouse atmosphere.

Came here for wings on a busy game night! We were a large party of ten that the team was able to squeeze in to the corner of the bar quite comfortably. Our server, Ewyn, was fantastic, taking our orders really efficiently and just being such a friendly human being! Loved how fast we got our food here - we were starrrving after a basketball game and Ewyn kept us from being hangry! Thanks so much to the team here - give Ewyn a raise!!

We were 1/3 tables in the bar at 830pm. Our food took a while and assume it was sitting under the heatlamp because the soup had skin on it. The garlic fingers were sitting there for a while and you could tell because they were not hot. Once we were done our food, our server did not come to the table for 25 minutes. Finally asked for a box and the bill, and it took another 5 for her to come by. I understand when a bar is busy and service and food is slow. But this was not the case. The staff shouldnt be hanging out in the back when there are paying customers that need service. Overall very dissappointed with the experience.

Great pit stop before the game!!

Ordered from skip twice from this location downtown Edmonton in the past couple of months and both times the order was wrong. The first time you get a Pass, the second time? No. Whats upsetting is that you can get a refund from skip but youre still out fees and tip for the driver when you have to reorder from somewhere else. How can you mess up both orders? Never order from this brewhouse on skip. its ordered online, more expensive as well, but they dont care obviously. Maybe try to make it right the first time? So disappointing.

Me and my friend popped in for a quick drink after the game and got charged 32 dollars for some non alchoholic strawberry swill that was supposed to be two 12 dollar peach bellinis... good times? The bartender was off his game worse than the Oilers...

The food was great and server was ok. But seriously management needs to be more at-tentative or the staff needs to be as there was people jumping over the wall to another booth standing and sitting on tables. Plus the music did not match the environment vibe playing techno and strillex

There was a waitress with blonde hair, she was short. She had a bad attitude, she barely made eye contact, didn t have manners while reaching over our table to grab empty glasses or paying the bill, and didn t smile. She was also awkward, I turned around while eating and she was staring at me. Very weird.

Okaay!!! Do you want to be ignored for 1 hour and 47 minutes by your waitress, after asking her multiple times for the bill? And she continuously walks past you every 5 minutes for that 1 hour and 47 minutes? Would you like to in addition to being ignored, when you finally ask another waitress for the bill; she goes and talks to your waitress then you look over 5 minutes later and your waitress is pointing at your table and laughing in a group with other waitresses?? Then when she finally brings you the bill, she is passive aggressive and tries to gaslight you into believing that you never asked for the bill? Well this location is the place for you! I do not recommend this location at all. I cant express how frustrating the service was, Im always kind to service staff as I understand how stressful the industry is but... We spent a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes in that restaurant, and I would say 20 minutes were spent eating. Frankly, my appetite is not large so I always take the rest to go... so I ask for a box right! My food was clumped up and cold by the time I got the boxes. There was no saving my leftovers, they were genuinely in a brick form. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. maybe she forgot about us, maybe she was new, etc etc. Until around 6 tables of hers came in, ate, and left before we were even acknowledged for the bill. The whole one hour and forty-seven minutes, I was holding my card in my hand, around eye level............. she walked past every 5 minutes, made eye contact with me, and looked at my card, and didnt say anything... just walked away. Snap back to when she finally brought me the bill. I was considering still tipping because its rough out here.. until she said why didnt you guys ask me for the bill? I just looked at her, so confused. I said we asked a few times, and you kept just looking at us and walking away. She continues: maybe if you would have asked, I would have brought it! I just go silent because why was SHE the one giving attitude? Honestly. I wouldnt bother going to this location. The food was pretty decent, its a fun environment, but Im so embarrassed over the service. RECCOMENDATION: Go to The Furniture Warehouse on jasper ave! cheaper food (meals under $10 for INCREDIBLE quality), same portion sizes, same environment (honestly better, its so fun), amazing staff who honestly make you feel like theyve known you forever, and just altogether... more worth it. It is upsetting because I grew up always supporting the brewhouse, but this location has continued to disappoint me more and more. I would rather give me and my families hard earned money to the furniture warehouse. TLDR: Dont go here if you value customer service and yummy leftovers <3

A friend and I stopped in for some appies before the game. It was very busy but Evan gave us the best service! The friendliest server I ve had in a long time. She was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. She recommended the best food and drinks and walkways made sure we were enjoying everything. Thanks for starting our night off right!! Good food, cold beer, great service and the game on TV. A little too loud, a little expensive, but what isnt recently? The only thing they could improve is to install recliners! ;-)

It was a good experience, food was great, only thing was the waitress that we had. Left dirty dishes behind, didn t come to check on drinks. Other than that good experience!
