Went for a cooperate event. In their PDR. All food was pre ordered & specific time for serving to start. They fumbled the whole service. Food was to start rolling out at 8. They didn't start till 930. I didn't get my plate till 10pm.Drinks were watered down. Service was a legit zero. Food when we got it was Luke warm but half decent in flavors. So kudos to the kitchen. Desert- cheese cake had been sitting so long the Graham bottom had turned to a soggy mush. - marquise bar. Terrible. Atmosphere...it's a way overpriced venue in a casino in a crappy part of town. Hockey Game nights. Not even allowed to use the parkade under the casino. Gotta park block away & walk. What a poor establishment. Will never be back. Should have kept the baccarat casino. Now that was a good spot.
Had a good time. Don’t recommend going for the oysters as we got bits of shell. However all the other dishes were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is really nice and were well taken care of. Would definitely go back.
What an incredible meal we had, and the service was absolutely next level! Thank you GM Adam for making it such a memorable evening! I had the tenderloin and the awesome waiter prepared my peppercorn sauce table side! My wife had the mushroom risotto and we shared the cheesy mashed potatoes. The fresh bread to start with blue cheese butter was so good! We loved it all and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine. Honestly felt like we were in Vegas. We will be back!
Choose your weapon because you're about to eat this tomahawk steak for $180 Located in Ice district, go inside the Grand Villa Casino They have many side table services for the best experience. I had the pleasure to have dinner with the hospitality director and menu development manager. They told me their direction is to bring the Las Vegas experience into Edmonton. If you want a fancy dinner before the hockey game, you should check out Atlas. ----------------------- @Atlassteakandfish ATLAS steak + fish Burnaby | Langley | Kamloops | West Edmonton | Ice District 2023 Travelers’ Choice Winner by Tripadvisor 👨🏼🍳@chefmattgraydon This location is in @icedistrict , inside @grandvillayeg #yegdt #icedistrict #atlas #hockey #finedine #rogersplace #steak
I'll get the why 4 star vs. 5 star in a second. I first wanted to say how amazingly tasty the food was at Atlas and accommodating they were with gluten free choices. We had the game day feature menu. I ordered the beef carpaccio, and pork chop. My loved one that has Celiac ordered the prawn cocktail and halibut and lobster risotto. Dessert was a chocolate bar that was not gluten free. Before they brought out dessert they asked if a creme brule would be an acceptable alternative. We thought that was thoughtful as sometimes they just bring out a fruit salad or ice cream. All the food was really tasty and well portioned. Obviously service was pretty great too. But I needed to put it at a 4 to recognize a small pet peeve. I ordered a diet coke to drink. They brought out a small glass of diet coke with ice. I imagine considering this was not a bar, they didn't want to have a glass pint of diet coke sitting at the table. Fine. I asked for a refill. Half way through the meal. When the bill came, I was charged another $4 for the diet coke. I asked if I was double billed or if they charge for the refills, and they said they charge for refills. To me, unheard of unless they are serving you a can of diet coke.
We came here after the Oilers game during their first week of reopening. We had the opening special for $65 and it was amazing. We had appetizers and I had the pork chop and a peanut butter dessert. Everything was delicious. We had excellent service from all staff and the manager Ilian came over and engaged us in a lively conversation. We would definitely return in the future.
Hands Down the best Steak and Fish spot in Edmonton. Incredible cuisine hand made from the heart and generously served proud. Ilhan (Manager) and Yazid (server) went above and beyond to make my anniversary super special for me and my wife. I will recommend this place to all of my friends and family. I’m super glad I found my new go to spot for fine dinning.
Was only the second day of being open. This restaurant has tons of potential ! The food is very good. A few glitches but they’ll get figured out I’m sure.
Our server Susan was genuinely the best!! So kind and cares so much about her tables. Attentive service and so damn funny! Made our night. Would recommend to a friend.
Susan was so personable and the most amazing server I have had in a long time. She truly was the best, and kept up amazing conversation with us
Ilhan, restaurant manager, went above and beyond for our dinner this evening. The staff was fantastic, the food was exceptional, and I will be back very soon. Highly recommend.
Amazing fine dining restaurant and perfect service. Our server Alex was so professional and we enjoyed celebrating my birthday. We were so happy and could recommend this amazing place.
our server natasha was amazing! she had excellent menu knowledge! she recommended the halibut and lobster risotto and it was delicious!! she is the reason we will be back! thank you natasha!
It was really good, food and drinks were amazing! Parking: Went before an Oilers game, was hard to find parking Food : 5/5 |
Restaurant general manager Ilhan outstanding service very friendly and attentive. Came by to check on us. Our server Vanessa was exceptional! Food
Restaurant manager was amazing . Made us feel at home . I will be coming back for sure .
Wonderful night out in downtown. Food was fabulous and service was excellent. Highly recommended the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Food : 5/5
Our server Alex and rest s manager Ilhan were wonderful. Great performance from them.
Thank you for a good experience.
Excellent
Have been here twice now and the food for the most part hasnt disappointed. The only exceptions were the Brie Mashed Potatoes which didnt have enough or a strong enough Brie to flavour them and the Tuna Appetizer was super bland. Steaks, other mains and all other appetizers and desserts were really good! Service was also excellent! Will definitely go back! Great place for a quiet date night or with some friends.
They used to have seafood night on Thursday 1/2price and it was always nice. haven t tried after covid I hope they open again soon
Love this place hope it opens up soon
My husband and I went here for dinner for my husbands birthday over the weekend and it was amazing. Our server Heather was wonderful and very attentive to all our needs. We both enjoyed all of our food especially our beef tenderloin entrees, it was to die for! The General Manager, Sandeep, also came to our table a few times throughout our meal to check in and make sure we were taken care of which was really nice. All in all we felt like we were treated like royalty from the moment we sat down. The food and service was amazing and we will absolutely be back! 10/10
This was a very disappointing experience. Took 3 returns to finally get the right bottle of wine we ordered. No bread while we wait...received it half way thru our main course. Server did not even know what food she served us. I had broken clam shell pieces thru out my whole dish. Will not support them again.
Very, very disappointed. To start, this is not my first time here. After the last visit earlier in the year, I left a five star review. I decided based on our last visit to take my girlfriend here for her birthday on boxing day. The last time we were here everything was amazing. Can you ever tell that things have gone downhill. First off, we were shocked to find out that on boxing day, they did not have a bartender and cocktails were not available. We decided that we would just order a bottle of champagne instead. Management told us that because it was my girlfriends birthday that she is eligible for a free desert, in the house. I decide to order a nice ribeye, medium rare. The first steak comes out, cold to the touch, as if it had been cooked yesterday and left out at room temperature. I let our waitress know and she immediately takes it back and puts another order in. I wait a little while later my second steak comes out. Charred on the outside and blue rare in the center. Literally refrigerator cold to the touch on the inside. I have had steak all across Canada. Even internationally. This was the worst attempt at cooking a steak that I have ever seen. Even the waitress was shocked. The manager took it back to the chef (we were sitting right infront of the open kitchen) The chef scoffed and told him that there was nothing wrong with the steak. This Steak could not even be considered blue rare as it was basically still almost frozen in the center. The manager suggested that I try something else off of the menu. I thanked him and told him that I did not want anything. If a chef at a steak house can not cook a steak ( the manager admitted that it was a terrible excuse for what I ordered) that I dont really trust the chefs ability to cook anything else. The manager compd our meals. Our bill was still well over 100 dollars. Oh yeah, the free birthday desert?? Yeah, we were charged for it. Whatever has happened at this place over the last year shows. The food is sub par at best, the chefs are very poor at the most basic dishes. The server was fantastic.
Best seafood around. Service is good and if there is a problem they take care of you. Thumbs up!!
Fancy seafood place in the Casino at Rogers Place. Pricey to say the least but they have some half price days that make it very worth the trip down! Seafood portions are big and bold (not worth the full price) and of decent quality. Not the most amazing in terms of flavour but good value for sure if you go on the half price night for seafood and champagne. Nice wine list for sure with lots to choose from.
Service is five stars she was good. I went there for my birthday , three of us order the all you can eat prime rib the first plate we got was good then the second plate we got the prime rib smelt burnt it wasn t good at all so we didn t eat it. i got the spicy lobster pasta and so as my cousin . Today I found out I think I got food poisoning and I shared my pasta with my friend and she also don t feel good and my cousin is the same as me ! And they didn t even give us any compensation for the burnt food. If you re also really hungry don t go there because it takes a 1hour and a half to get your food out.
First visit this evening and to say it was a disappointment would be an understatement. Service was very poor, waited way to long for everything. Had the chicken breast that was over cooked, dry and hard. Came with about 5 small potatoes and 4 pieces of asparagus for $30. Absolutely horrible. One in the group had prime rib and said it was ok . Won t be back, way better restaurants for the money.
Food was below average for us. Service was ok.
I wish I could like this place, Ive tried it so many times but the management is terrible. The servers never seem to know the advertised specials, or at least wont honor the one advertised. Went to get 2 for 1 appetizers tonight, was told they stopped doing this in September, even though they advertise it on their menu screen at the entrance (see pic). Poor server asked the manager, he said they wouldnt honor what was on their own menu. Had to get our casino host to step in for them to honor it. Ridiculous.
Food and service always amazing. Beautiful designed restaurant
WOW. I have been to alot of restaurants in Edmonton and this is just hands down The Best!!!! Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. Just an all around great experience. Take your time here and enjoy yourself and your company with a glass of wine or whatever drink you please. And then have some of best food you will have in this city. Very happy, Well done Atlas!!!!!! Very impressed.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! Ive been here about 3 times now all times we had the large private room over looking the casino, this room is BEAUTIFUL, Isabel the manager is on point, absolutely love her. The food is always sooooo good btw. Also the staff takes allergies seriously i have a long list of allergies so i can appreciate that. I will definitely be back with more friends each time. GOO CHECK IT OUT!!!!!
Was so excited for a fancy date out and ended up soo disappointed in the food. If I hadnt come on the Thursday deal I wouldve been really upset since we paid so much for such meh food. Plus one of the managers going around checking tables was so obviously on something that it made me and my date super uncomfortable. But our server was great!
Delicious food and amazing service! Our server Jenny was amazing and so sweet!! Definitely would recommend to friends and family!
Very good customer service. Love the place and the food are amazing!
It looks nice, cool life music, however people working there are from a different planet. Very bad experience, terrible service, annoying staff, waitress was doing us a favour by even talking to us. It took them over 1 hour to bring our food, I asked waitress to refill my coke glass 3 times and she never did. Food was cold, Arrogant, very uneducated manager - Tabish Waseem. It s hard to believe that someone like him can run this place. Stay away from this restaurant it s expensive, below average quality of the food and one of the worst servers in Edmonton.
Great food.great atmosphere.jackie our server was awesome very attentive and knowledgable.will definately be back
Amazing food; Attentive staff; great Ambience of the place...triple AAA 5 star rating. Very satisfied and will recommend for a relaxed and personalized experience. Completely enjoyed the time with my special girl.
Lorin was amazing tonight! One of the best servers we have had in a long time! We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend her as a server and the food
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere ! If you are looking for a place to go.... Go here !!!
Very very very seldom do I ever give any place 5 stars. However. This place deserves it. Actually! The list of reasons why is extensive but ill begin with the basics. No matter where you are living in Edmonton, you cant beat central. Location is key. Tucked away inside a casino ( I had no idea where it was originally) its centralized at Rogers place. Either a very short trip if you live downtown or an inconveniant drive for everybody else equally. Although in the Casino on the second floor we barely heard any noise whatsoever except for the lovely live piano that was playing for the evening. Matt, I believe his name was was extremely entertaining, friendly and approached patrons to ask for requests and played a variety of genres from his vast arsenal of music. The atmosphere was just perfect. Not too much lighting and not too dark. It was perfectly centralized in the middle of the spectrum and I would say precisely what fine dining should be like. With a nice accent wall that brightly covered one wall beside the piano and open kitchen, the atmosphere was inviting, inclusive and private all at once. Well done on this point. I ordered the 12 ( Fairly certain it was 12. It was the largest size anyways) ounce alberta steak with mashed potatoes for the side and my girlfriend had the salmon. I ordered medium. The food came at the expected time. Not late, not early, and perfect. I have to say whole heartedly that this was the best steak I have had in Edmonton. Hands down. It was thick and a tough steak to cook medium if you arent a seasoned chef, and they nailed it. The taste, cut, and style of preperation was on par. Superb on my meal! My girlfriends Salmon, in her own words were delicious. It was perfect portion, well seasoned and one of the best salmons she ever had. The service was friendly, always checked up on us, including the manager, and was genuine. I want to give kudos to the manager for ensuring a finely ran restaurant and what will be a solid yes to returning. Price point most definitely reflects what your getting so prepare to spend over 100$ for your meal for two, easy. It obviously isnt in everyones budget but I do recommend it at least once to explore a new dining experience in Edmonton and taste some great steak. Washrooms were prestine! Table was clean, cutlery was spotless, glasses had zero smudges on them and were actually quite ergonomic, very cool. This also was one time I didnt take too many pictures of the place because you have to experience it for yourself. I again want to extend a huge thank you to the staff (especially the cooks behind the scene) to creating a great homerun on all fronts. Well done. And congrats for getting my 5 stars. I dont give them easily, but you earned them.
Good food and staff beautiful atmosphere pricey but worth the empty wallet creme brulee was best Ive had in years.
Came with a good friend of mine for Edmonton Downtown Dining Week. Great choices for such an affordable menu during Dining Week. HIGHLY! recommend the Charcuterie & Cheeses as a starter with friends those pizza dough fried bites that come with it are delicious!
Really good food and nice environment. Definitely recommended for seafood.
Best seafood in Edmonton. Our server Alisha was so thoughtful and knowledgeable. She made us want to come back very soon. We eat out often and have noticed a decline in service and an increase in tipping requirements which honestly if I dont recieve good service I dont think you deserve a tip. My partner and I both have worked in the service industry and we know how difficult it can be. In saying that we absolutely have no problem giving restaurants our business and servers good tips if they are like Alisha.
Dry, sinewy tenderloin. Under seasoned sides. Overpriced and underwhelming. There are sooo many better options in YEG, do yourself a favour and skip this one.
The hubby and I have been dining at Atlas for the last few months; food is consistently TASTY and the service PHENOMENAL. ISABELLA is AMAZING!! Dining at Atlas is more than just a meal, with great people like Isabella and her team (Melissa, JoJo and Christian) it has become our dining room away from home. Atlas has represented us well amongst our peers and our family. Thank you guys!! Please keep up the great work! :)
We had a wonderful evening last weekend with Alesha! She provided A+ service and great conversation. The steak was incredible and Alesha recommended the oysters which the entire table enjoyed! Great place for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend the Frozen Hound!
Great atmosphere, food and service - Marco was very friendly and helpful.
Ate there the other night for the first time, at the West Edmonton Mall location. The customer service was unparalleled, they treated us like we were long time guests. The food, WOW! I havent had a steak this expertly cooked anywhere in the city. It was savory. Everything was top quality. Ryan who was the bartender, and our server is top quality guy. Excellent recommendations. My party and I left satisfied and bloated. This has become my new back pocket secret location for special occasions. Thank you for great evening Atlas Steak & Fish we/I will be back.
Service was great, but I terribly regretted ordering the cold seafood tower. Tasted very bland and watery. Portion size was very small for what you pay for. I d give more stars if I tried more food possibly but first impressions for a high end restaurant were sub par.
Visited the West end location - above Starlight casino. Decor and ambience is beautiful and classy. Went there to celebrate my husbands birthday. Everything came out hot and delicious. My husbands steak was a tiny bit over and they compensated us with an order of scallops, and 50% off his meal. For his birthday we received a complimentary baked alaska. The staff (Thot) was amazing, kind, and attentive. We will be back soon!
food and service was okay... value-for-money was blah
Amazing place if you are a steak lover . Loved the ambience with live piano playing along with open kitchen . Manager of reasturant tabish is a knowledge mine of wine and food and knows how to host . Tenderlion is must try and dont miss to have alska baked cake .we were served by yoshi and he is such a sweetheart .I would love to visit it again and again . Thank u guys for the amazing experience .
Wow this place is unreal and the food is amazing. If your looking for a five star restaurant I highly recommend going to this one.
You can t beat half price seafood and champagne. Ordered the seafood tower with was exceptional and especially for the price. Also ordered the pan fried scallops, mashed potatoes, asparagus, as well as the lobster bisque. The waitstaff at Atlas know how to take care of their guests. Food was fresh and delicious. All the bottles we ordered were half price. Left full and satisfied. Will always go back to Atlas, next time maybe Steak?
Went for dinner with my wife. Ordered Steak. Not impressed. The steak came out dry and tasteless..
First time at atlas steak and fish Service was great food was awesome Anitas was our server she was amazing Price was reasonable
Had a great experience here for my birthday dinner! Our server Alysha was great, very friendly and helpful with the menu, and made sure we got everything we needed and came by often. The manager was also very friendly and brought us bread when it was accidentally missed earlier. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked, wish we could ve had more! Also a really nice touch that the creme brûlée desert was free for my birthday. Will definitely come back again and recommend this place to family and friends!
It was difficult to decide on the rating for this place. It s definitely a high class restaurant, the food is high end, the service and most of the atmosphere are top notch minus the loud noise coming from the casino below. It s a good place to impress a date if your date is the type that needs impressing or money is no object for you. However for the average person it s somewhat pretentious, very expensive, and you ll be stopping at drive through after as the portions are the smallest I ve seen. That $15 bottle of wine at the liquor store, that would be $30 at any other restaurant is $50 at Atlas. Parking is another issue, they advertise free parking however if you ve never been there, despite their simple sounding explanation on the phone, it s confusing to find. Once you do figure it out they only have a few spots which are always full and it s a rough dirt lot that anyone going to Atlas wouldn t want to park their nice car or walk with your good shoes so you might as well go into the underground parking and pay the $20. It ll save you time and frustration. I definitely wouldn t go back or recommend it to anyone I know but then again I m just middle class and don t know anyone rich.
such amazing foods, good service as well. I will comeback here for sure.
Grilled seafood is way better than cold seafood tower. The mussels were not fresh and they stunk, not just fishy but stinky. We told the server it s not good, he took them back and never came with an explanation or anything. He did not do a regular check on us. Seemed lack of attention, not caring enough. Didn t even ask what else can I grab for you? this kinda basic question. And we had to wait for a long time for him to come around. Also, please double check your bill before paying for it. They MADE a mistake. They put random stuff on our bill and we called it out. Also, this place they serve expired mini Tabasco. Check the pic. It s dark I couldn t see at the restaurant. DOUBLE CHECK, use your flashlight or whatever. It s expired on April 16...... now it s August.... they need to get it together.
Prices are fair, atmosphere is very nice and classy, and service is decent. Food is great!! Always love coming in for the half off seafood
I visited this place after a coworker told me about their seafood special (half price on seafood items). The oysters and seafood towers are definitely worth trying out. Their lamb was also a nice surprise.
Great place to go for their seafood specials. Bring friends to conquer their Seafood Tower! Half priced wine was a bonus!
Went on a Friday night, place was nearly empty. The service was really meh. We would have easily had another round of drinks and dessert if they had been any kind of attentive. That said- the food and drinks were really good. Maybe it s better on a busier game night with more staff? Not worth the price for the lack of service.
Seriously unimpressed. Was here for a friends birthday and we were a fairly large group. I understand that serving a large group can be tough and I typically have a lot of patience but this was beyond disappointing. The servers were actually quite rude, we waited almost 2 hours for our food and then it came out cold. I ordered the $70 cowboy steak and what came out was cold and overcooked. I could have done better on my BBQ at home. Again, I understand large groups can be tough but at the end of the day when my bill for a steak and 2 drinks comes to $140 I still expect at least decent service and good food.
We made a reservation about 5 days before. We were asked if a table for 4 was okay, as there were only 2 of us. We said that was fine. We showed up on time for our reservation. They proceeded to seat us at the kitchen, where they were shucking oysters 1 foot in front of us. We explained to the waitress that we reserved a table. She went to get the manager. After 20 minutes she came back and asked if he came. He had not. She went and got him. He came over. My wife explained that we had made a reservation and had a whole conversation about how we were promised a table. And now we are watching someone shuck and smell oysters. He said I m sorry but I can t do anything . She said What was the point in calling and making a reservation then and he said I don t know. He said I can cover a couple of drinks but that s it . Then he said let me know and he walked away. He obviously didn t care. They obviously gave the table away in a greedy move that meant they would get 2 meals going because it was a full house (Elton John) concert. Thanks for ruining our wedding anniversary meal. We will spread the word on how greedy and ridiculous your establishment is.
I have been here many times. The food is always delicious. The service is impeccable every single time from top management to servers even at the kitchen bar the chefs made us feel like it was a special occasion everytime. Thanks atlas.
Terrible service. Terrible food. Do not recommend going here.
Went there for dinner with a group of friends! Great service! Fantastic food! The seafood platter was to die for!! Definitely get the private seating area! 10/10 Thanks Kat!!
Very impressed with the authentic Persian cuisine and exceptional service. Our waitress was very attentive!
Dinner for 4 before a concert. Our table was right in front of the piano, which made any conversation impossible. The music was good but just very loud. The hostess was great about moving us 2 tables over. The service was beyond slow. 20 minutes from when we were sat to when we received our drinks. When we did receive our dinner we had no utensils, so we had to sit with our meals in front of us getting cold until someone could bring us a fork. Steaks and sides were great the seafood mixed grill was terrible. We would have had more drinks and dessert but could not get any service. Still had plates on our table when we paid our bill. Definitely not worth the price for such poor service.
Amazing food and service!
Great ambiance & service. Seafood is great though wish the entire menu was just as good.
Half price seafood Thursdays are the best! Service was excellent. The Alaskan King Crab, scallops, prawns and roasted veggies were delicious and so filling. The creme brulee was good, I would not recommend the chocolate torte. Avoid the torte - everything else was fantastic!
Ordered 2 steaks a 9 ounce and a 6 ounce, asked for both steaks to be cooked medium. The 6 ounce came out raw and the 9 ounce came out well done. I called over the waiter and told him that my wifes steak was too rare and he said no problem he will take the steak and put it back on the grill. For the price of the steak I would of thought they would of taken it back and re made a new one.
The atmosphere here what is amazing for the Christmas party, service was excellent, however it did take a while for food to arrive which we did not mind as we are more focused on Conversation among the group, the food was very well prepared, however remember that you can ask for a better steak knife, the steak knives that they provide are mediocre Would return
Sadly, I wouldn t recommend. I ordered a salmon steak and it was dead raw inside. It wasn t only me that complained as the person beside me ordered the same and got raw salmon as well. I had to send it back and then wait.. everyone ate and I was still waiting. The portion size was so small. The others at my table were not impressed with their foods. The service was very very slow. However, our waitress/server was really polite. She did her best to appease everyone at our table. For the price.... I m not here for it. I would have rather went to Cactus Club which never disappoints.
First the pro s; half-off champagne and all seafood dishes on Thursdays, good crowd and the food was very tasty. Now the cons; good luck ever getting these guys to answer the phone or call you back. I called and had to leave a voicemail every day around mid day Mon, Tues, Wed, and then Thursday after 4:00 and finally got a call back Thursday after 6:30pm. The service is....not up to the standard of the food nor the decor. Not sure I d recommend this place on any day other than Thursday.
Came for the late night snack. Food was absolutely amazing!!!! The service was on point! Great atmosphere. Highly recommend. Cant wait to come back.
THEY CAN T USE THE OVEN Lool state of the art building and their makeup air system shuts down when it s gets to COLD in Edmonton hahah no joke folks . They did offer us a short menue my Lobster soup was cold , bread was doughy and the star dish Prime Rib ,was cold :( the few vegetables hiding under the prime rib were over cooked and like really no steak , knives no pepper . Never again wow terrible experience not worth my time or my $$$
Very nice place. Great service. Piano player was very good. Meal was very good as well.
Excellent food and great service. It is a really neat room with the fog screen, has an upscale vibe but not pretentious and feels like you are in a Vegas Casino. The food is incredible (steak tartar, charcuterie board, tuna poke- great appies btw) and not bad prices for the quality throughout the menu. Every Thursday is 1/2 off seafood which is pretty unreal.
Staff and Management was very professional and made our party feel like they where at a Las Vegas type steakhouse, unfortunately the steak did not, just above average. We will give it one more chance and hopefully it was just a off night.
Not good
Probably the worst Caesar I ve ever had. How does that happen
Great place to have a quiet Dinner
Really just over priced
All I can say is wow. From the food to the service was excellent.
Totally enjoyed our large group outing to Atlas last evening! Heather and Kelsey took great care of us, the food was outstanding for both flavour and presentation (I ordered the Salt Spring Island mussels and clams as well as a tempura soft shell crab on the side). The live piano music was awesome - piano guy took our requests all night and played everything and anything! I will recommend this restaurant/dining experience to friends and family.
Would have been a higher review, but the front of house was not organized. Waited 60 mins for a table while we watched 6 other tables remain open for the entire time we were there (2.5 hrs). Food was average and pricey for the quality (seafood tower and prime rib), but our waitress was great.
Very good food
Truly a YEGAS Experience !!!
Food tasted good, however service was slow.
Great Prime Rib!
Very underwhelming. My dish was dry and very chewy. And the sauce was over reduced and far too salty. Service was extremely slow and the process from first drink to entre was nearly two hours. Not worth the time or money. There are far better Steakhouse options in Edmonton for sure.
Didnt even go there yet.
I would rather have a dog puke in my mouth. They had a half off seafood sale it was rotten. Terrible The waiter was trying to say it was a bad lemon. Didnt realize lemons smell like rotten fish. Dont waste your time here.
Best way to cook beef and pork is over charcoal, period. Or buried with charcoal in sand (see Hawaii for details).
Our server, William, was one of the best servers Ive ever had. Well informed about the menu, and certainly embodied their logo - Let us transport you back to a time when dining was an experience
The food and the service are both quite good and the atmosphere is new and still has that casino vibe, they had a live piano player that went around the restaurant asking for requests I thought that was a nice touch. I thought the extra charge for sauce with your meal was kind of lame given the pricing level of the mains. The entire place shares a liquor license so if you are not done your drink and want to get up you can simply take it down to the casino with you. Overall it s good and to me it s on the same par as restaurants like Von s.
My husband and I had been to this restaurant for my daughters 25th B day and at the time we were looking for a place that would be our new place to go being our fav restaurant was closing down! We were amazed at the fact that Atlas had everything and more of what we wanted! Amazing dishes to chose from, quality service from not only the servers but management as well! Matt the piano man engages personally to requests and adds so much to your experience! Last night we went to celebrate our 28th anniversary and once again that personal touch from manager Sandeep, Our server William and of course Matt the piano player made the experience so enjoyable! The food is worth going alone but add a modern ambiance and quality staff and you will have the perfect experience! Highly recommend Atlas!!!!
Drinks and food took a very long time. When the main course arrived, it was cold. I m talking colder than open air. My lobster was terrible, could get a previously frozen from superstore and it would be more enjoyable. The steak was average, which it shouldn t being a fillet mignon. Slow service, cold food and high prices. I wouldn t suggest this restaurant to anyone. The place was dead as well so there should be no excuse for having a cold meal. Not one individual in our party enjoyed their food. The keg, earls, joeys etc offer way better meals that are cheaper and way higher quality of food. I won t return as the whole experience was trash, neither will those of our party. It was that bad and this is 100% the truth.
Incredible food
Great foods and friendly place to enjoy Dinner
Beyond 5 rating! An iconic North American steakhouse. A first class dining experience with live piano player, and great selection of steaks and seafood cuisine. 3rd visit Thursday night dinner I ordered the Icelandic arctic char Not on their regular menu Freshly brewed coffee taste really good My server is Christian, great waiting Tamra my regular server said hi and Manager Adrian said hi as well Friendly and welcoming staff With live piano Entertainment 2nd visit Thursday night seafood dinner Ordered the risotto - the best in the city Loaded with seafood OMG, this seafood dish is to die for!!! Thanks again Tamra, for your excellent service This place has great cohesive staff, from the reception to the manager Im very impressed with their professionalism It shows great pride in their work Sophisticated dining experience Great ambiance Great upbeat music play 1st visit For drinks, I ordered the Atlas Caesar, Agua de Valencia and Black Cherry Martini, their signature cocktails For starter, the Monterey Bay Calamari, the serving is almost like a dinner meal. My server Tamra is superb and professional Tamra checks on me all the time and I appreciated that kind of attention and care. And I also appreciated all the cocktails you recommended, all 3 drinks I enjoyed drinking. One of my best dining experiences in downtown Edmonton when it comes to fine dining. This is the place to celebrate a special occasion or just simply experience what fine dining is all about with your friends or someone special or by yourself. This is now my top favourite spot for dining.
Went to this resto in Grand Villa Casino for a corporate event. The first course arrived after 2 hours, the main course another 30 minutes, desserts another 30 minutes, coffee another 30 minutes. There was so much confusion among the servers. Not a good experience at all.
How this place has 4-5 stars is astonishing. Words cannot describe the worst experience we have had at a restaurant. We went with a large group, all our main courses came out at separate times (15-20 minutes apart). Sides made it out after we had finished our meals. My salmon came out completely raw and we had sent it back twice for it to come back raw. I had to order my drink 4 times over the two hours we sat there and I finally got them all after paid the bill. And Overall, everything we ordered all came out way under par for the price we paid. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Dont waste your money.
For the price its not worth it. Shrimp cocktail was DISGUSTING, inedible 4 giant old rubbery fishy shrimp for $20. Service was slow, servers had orders mixed up. Took 20 minutes for them to even ask our drink orders when we sat down.. And to top it off because it was a large group we were charged 18% gratuity. Had better tasting steak at the outback.
Went on Sept 27 2018.. Everything was perfect, food, service, everything. On The 28th ordered the exact same meal... Service was slow, steak was cold.. Only saw my server twice.. For a higher end restaurant Im disappointed with the inconsistent food and service
Long wait time for food. The lobster was very very salty.
The restaurant is quite nice and it even has a live pianist at times. The waiters and servers are attentive, although they need to be asked for simple things like refills on a drink etc. The price of the food can be a bit pricey. The atmosphere is cool, calm and quiet, good for a romantic dinner or a more intimate social gathering for family and friends. Dress is formal.
We will never go back. 5:00 reservation - no clean Red Wine Glasses so I drank my wine from a water glass. The wine was the only thing I enjoyed. My husband and I each ate 1 Parmesan Fry and fhe rest went back. Awful. My crab legs were not only cold but I spit out the bite I took and couldn t get the smell off of my hands even with 6 extremely soapy washes. The vegitables were very bland and all tasted the same. The Prime Rib was cold and very fatty. The best part of the meal according to my husband was the asparagus in his Caesar. Horrible disappointment.
Im not too sure how so many people had a bad time here. I had a great experience! We went just after 6pm on a friday night and it was a fun time. Everything i had was what our server recommended and he did a great job. Everything was so good, but the steak was the best. I probably didnt even need a knife! Our food was on time and sometimes arrived even earlier than i expected. Our server was always coming by refilling our water and drinks, so my cup was never once empty (even after it got busy). I would recommend this place and will be coming back again :)
Although I did enjoy my food and had a good time because I was with friends, the service was terrible. After the server dropped off my food I never heard from her again, never got a second drink, she never came by to ask if we needed anything. Also she never mentioned our bottles of water on the table were $7 each and only put the charge for them on random peoples bills. So I got charged $14 for two bottles of water when I barely even had a glass. I asked her to remove the charge for the water and she did but not without attitude. Probably wont go back again willingly.
Way over priced, super small portions, and slow service. Took 45min to get a beer.
Service was super fast and meals were great. May be because we came there at early dinner, closer to 6 PM it was packed.
Just have a very nice dinner in Atlas Edmonton, food is good n service from the lovely lady, Jenny is fantastic. Surely will be back for next time when back to Edmonton.
Amazing! Best food and great service. Anita was fantastic.
One of the nicest looking dinner spots in the downtown area. We attended their half off seafood + champagne night last night and I was very satisfied with everything. The seafood was very fresh and the charcuterie board had a nice selection of cheese and meats.
To begin not sure why this place has such a low rating. I visited this venue last night for a casual business meeting around dinner time, my friends and business associates all enjoyed the duration of time spent here tremendously! We all ordered a bunch of seafood items since all the seafood menus were at a discounted special based on the day of the week. Which I personally thought was very inexpensive for all that we received if you think about it. The price point we had no problems with, for the quality and taste everything was definitely worth the unanimous 5 star rating. All my comrades including myself feasted to our hearts delight. Nothing negative I can mention. The service, staff and food were on point. Will highly recommend to anyone to visit this nice restaurant moving forward in the future.
This is a great venue, good atmosphere, food is fantastic and our waitress Jenny was very pleasant and attentive.
Service is very good. Staff are attentive. Food quality is surprisingly disappointing, and bland menu
A very nice atmosphere, but a solid meh on the food given the price. The piano music made it sound like we were sitting through a Charlie Brown concert, and the initial drinks took a very long time to arrive.
Amazing food and drinks. Good service as well. Just stay away from the Polenta Fries.
Had a stellar time here, food and atmosphere were great. Server was very helpful and friendly, she knew the menu items and was well-versed I think her name was Sasha. 10/10 would come here before each and every oiler game.
Was very impressed my most recent & FIRST visit here. The menu was exceptional, our server, Sasha was very well versed, attentive and knowledged on the menu & item pairings. The chef came out and ensured we both enjoyed our food, and the manager also made a point of coming by to introduce themself and ensure we were enjoying our experience. The only reason for my 4/5 is although the service and food were delicious, it is still a tad pricey but never the less Sasha made for a wonderful service experience & we will definitely be back to try alternative menu items!!
Top quality food and amazing service. Very romantic and the pianist was a wonderful surprise. Incredible steaks and a wide variety of high quality accompanists. Expect to pay $100 per person for the full experience.
Nice atmosphere and environment. Pretty decent food as well. Service was excellent
The decor and private room was beautiful. I read the reviews and it seems it is a different experience at night then during lunch. Lunch was nothing exceptional--food was acceptable but wasnt outstanding. It took forever to get our meals and there was only 2 other tables with guests so it wasnt an issue of them being busy. No manager came to check on how our experience was.
Amazing menu, good looking staff and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend! Check out their new lunch menu!
I had the burger and salad there for lunch the other day, and the meat was AMAZING!! It was very tender and juicy, I usually never order a burger at restaurants but this place definitely changed my mind on that! I definitely recommend this place 100% not only because of how amazing the food is, but the staff as well!!
Amazing management, service, and most of all food! Luxury dining at an afoordable cost
Great service both times I been there . First time food was a minus 5 terrible. Last time I visited it was good food . Must have fired the other cook. I ordered the tenderloin and it was cooked perfectly. Also had sum appetizers and drinks .manager was very nice he came n sat at our table n talk to us .
AMAZING service and food, the staff is attentive and the room is gorgeous. Theres live piano every night starting at 6, and its always flawless, and theyll even take requests! Everyone is super knowledgeable and friendly, and the kitchen is open so you can see whats going on inside, and every single dining experience Ive had there has been positive. Cant wait to go back! P.s try the blue cheese gnocchi! Its to die for.
I was in Edmonton and took customers out to Atlas before an Oilers game. I made the reservation weeks in advance for a booth, upon arrival we were sat at a table in the middle of the room and not a booth. The wine selection was great however the prime rib was beyond disappointing and we were never once asked how our food was. Needless to say we wont be back again.
Our first time to the Atlas Edmonton, I made reservations for my self and my handicaped daughter. On arrival, there were no other guests in the restaurant and we were seated by a very pleasant hostess. From that point on it was mostly downhill. Even though is was Dining Week, we requested both menues and eventually got both. The waitress continually spoke at our backs throughout the evening. Dhe came back to our table asking if we wished drinks, again speaking at our backs. The drinks arrived - my wine was okay but my daughter was not pleased with hers and the waitress was no where to be seen, Finally someone called her and she proceeded to lecture us on the amount of acohol allowed when all she had to do was take the drink back and bring one her guest requested - instead, she called the bartender over to resolve the concern. We decided to go with the Dining Week menue and have to say the food was not special. The shrimp cocktail was fine, the Wellington bites were cold, the 6 oz. tenderloin came with a bit of arugula and a few baby potatoes (bery small plate), the Josper Chicken came with a small portion of roasted potatoes - no vegtables and all of the meals were only warm. The only part of the meal that was excellant was the cheesecake in a jar. There seemed to be a lack of attentative staff during our diner-5 to 9pm .All in all We were not impressed by either the staff or the food.
Fabulous food, classy dining experience!! Attached directly to Rogers Place and the Casino
Food was absolutely amazing and the staff treated us exceptionally. We will be back!
Great service - delicious food and drinks. A bit pricey
We had a fantastic meal here. I highly recommend the lobster bisque. The mussels were amazing and steak done to perfection! I cant wait to go back there for the bisque
Was there last night. We were greeted and sat by a nice hostess and then sat for close to 15 min waiting for our server. We were one of about 4 tables, so it wasnt busy. The service was a bit underwhelming. We had the all you can eat Prime Rib. The Prime Rib was really good! But that was about it. It was served with baby potatoes, steamed Asperagus and Yorkshire pudding. The Yorkshire pudding was old and not edible. Was dehydrated and no sort of gravy was served to help it go down. We were both really excited to come to ATLAS but, we left rather disappointed. The atmopshere is nice, but not enough to warrant a return trip.
Dave Pavelich provides the best in hospitality in edmonton
My fiancé and I had booked a reservation many months in advance for our wedding. The customer service was completely incompetent! They never returned my emails when they promised to show us their new menu. They never responded when it was a month and a half away from the wedding and left us high and dry. We ended up having to make a reservation last minute at a new restaurant because this restaurant screwed us over! I would never give them any business ever!
My fiance and i went into this restaurant on sep 21 2017 for my fiances birthday. the atmosphere and ambiance is very good in this place . our waiter was also great i believe his name is Kelly . he was friendly and prompt, made us feel welcome and comfortable. he was amazing, the service was very good we would definitely visit again . its rare to find great service in such a high end establishment so thank you Kelly . Hope he gets some recognition because his service was top notch. the food was also very good. 5 star service and food . thank you Atlas .
The food here is good. Actually, its really good most of the time. Their smoker oven gives everything an amazing distinct flavour. The cons:super slow service. 4-5 mins for a knife. 10-12 for another drink. 12-13 for dessert(cold dessert, not cooked).
First to note it was dead when I got there, I make my runs usually on the off hours so take that into consideration. Service quality always takes a dip when things get hectic 1. Extremely friendly & professional service staff. 2. Excellent decor 3. Quiet for a Casino 4. Food is really rich, so be careful and only order one item, it will fill you up fast, and split appetizers. Other than that I have no complaints but people make cons when they fail to realize 1. Its a Casino, steak & lobster are always the top items on the menu, its like glamorous bar food. A Casino fair since forever. There is a bar downstairs and two fast food joints as well. 2. Its about trying something NEW, not the usual. Dont complain if the wacky exotic sauces & seasonings are not your thing, thats why you spend the extra money. Peanut butter & chocolate was once a crazy new idea. 3. It is pricey..........and for good reason You can get a steak downstairs at the bar for 1/2 price but you arent getting the taste experience you are paying extra for. High roller section is also upstairs. Also note you get a lot of lil extras to tie you down before your meal comes. Like freshly cooked bread & butter with side choice of unique cheese ,
Best venue in Edmonton for private parties. Immaculate service provided by Heather and Kelsie to our party of 15. Everyone was blown away! The food and drink was spectacular and everyone had a great experience. Special thanks to the manager, Sandeep, for the VIP treatment.
The service was average and slow at times. The food was mediocre and everything served was luke-warm. The overall ambience was the only aspect that would get a 5 star rating based on my experience. I would say a good place to go once to check it out but will likely not be going back.
The food is awesome the service is outstanding. The cost is on the high side but that s the price you pay for fine food. Those who don t appreciate either probably aren t used to the finer things, they should stick to Mac and cheese and hot dogs. The servers are very good, they do very well even when they are swamped with people. Good things take time, so yes you might have to wait at times. The fact that they don t allow children is very nice, after all it is suppose to be a quiet atmosphere. It s not that I don t like kids quite the opposite. Kelsey was our server and he was wonderful, very attentive. I will definitely be going back again and again.
Spent 240$ for two people on dinner tonight before the hockey game and was essentially asked to leave so our table could be used for other overbooked customers who were also upset...wow too bad. The service other than the restaurant manager was excellent and deserves 5 stars. The manager...a no star if that was possible. Definitely my last dinner here.
The resteraunt looks amazing. It is a very nice, quiet, and romantic atmosphere. I was here for a function, and the staff was extremely courteous, and treated me nicely. They always made sure that my glass was full of water and that i had everything i needed. I had an excellent experience here! The only reason that I put 4 stars is because when I looked at the menu the prices were outrageously high. But i guess you also pay for the experience. It all depends on how you look at that.
Atlas highlights the Grand Villa Casino in a superb fashion. Front of the house staff are trained on an optimal level, the hostess familiarized us on the concept and introduced us to the server for the evening. Food is always difficult to rate, but nevertheless I left satisfied. Dinner for 2 with drinks was $100 (tip excluded) lady was happy, I was happy, server was happy, everybody wins 10/10.
Enjoyed the amazing prime rib. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and had a unique smokey taste that had my mouth watering the entire session. The staff are very attentive and professional. This brings the Vegas 5 star restaurant experience to Edmonton.
Sat and enjoyed drinks and dinner with friends. Service and food was top notch. The chef even came out to ask has the food was. Everything was a great experience. Will be back often.
A really good restaurant. Food was very good. Service and atmosphere also were very good. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that at this price point I would expect exceptional. The steaks we have though exceptionally cooked to order were really underseasoned. We had to ask for salt. Shouldnt happen at a potentially great restaurant like this. that said I will likely return.
Excellent food, really modern decor. Looks great inside.
made reservations many months ago because we knew we were going to be around for a comedy show, requested a private room with no issues, called one week before reservation and made sure private room was still good and they said no issue, upon arriving there was no record of either conversation happening and the hostesses didnt seem to keen on fixing the situation, after talking to the manager it was taken care of, we wernt allowed to enter said room until our whole party which was 9 people all showed up so instead of being in the room wracking up drink orders we stood and waited at the front counter.. kinda bushleague... upon going into the room the menu online wasnt even close to the menu there which put some of us off because we did some recon and knew what we wanted long before coming there, when we got our food the potatoes that were prepared in some kinda special hibachi bricket deal tasted exactly like the lighter fluid they used to start it and upon telling the manager it seemed to go in one ear and out the other and this was 5 people dished no just one, he just made excuses and we never seen him again, one of the ladies with us has bad food allergies and requested nothing more than a chicken breast with no thing on it at all... and nothing else with it.... 30 dollars they charged her for one single chicken breast... they ended up taking some off when we called the manager.. again.. for the third time and the third different manager.. we had a bill of over 500 dollars.. no one could eat there sides.. we will never be back to this place again... not a steakhouse that should be put o any list to go to... just a glorified casino eatery... save money and go to the keg or sawmill.. this place is nothing special at all. side from the free bread which was one of the greatest things I have ever eaten
Food is good for the price. Clean place. It is inside casino tho and does not have separate entrance.
