Ok just go here for the Brussel sprouts. I could seriously eat them every day they were so good. The steak was decent but did lack inspiration a bit. Service was attentive and they didn’t rush us at all even though we didn’t have a reservation. Very cool vibe that doubles as a coffee shop.
We were here for Christmas party, booked private room, they gave us a special menu. Ribeye was really good, shared dishes are delicious, kale Caesar salad surprised me, normally I don’t like Caesar salad. Squash medley, Brussels sprouts and seasonal vegetables are very good, sorry, I was in my zone forgot to take pictures 😅 Bathroom is very fancy, they have bidet!!! But the water in the sink is icy cold, I meant icy cold 🥶
Was walking by and saw they served coffee here so came in. Got a latte and they serve dine in coffee so got that. Super comfortable couches to drink your coffee at. Cozy atmosphere and some cool wood architecture design. Barista was friendly as well and brought water in addition to coffee, which was nice.
Great food, for appetizers I like brussels sprouts the most, and steaks are good! Very attentive service rendered by Sydney, who has given very professional advice for our selections. There is no doubt about recommending it to anyone who visits here for local cuisine.
Sunday afternoon downtown and decided to try a new place....... found DOSC! Best restaurant experience I've had in Edmonton so far!!! Drinks were top notch ..... we had the In Bloom & smoked Old Fashion(clear square ice cube)! Well 2 of them each! We had the Chilean Seabass with Soy Cream & veggies and 12oz AAA Northern Gold Angus Ribeye(MR) with Pommes Puree and Beef Tallow mushrooms! Meal was awesome(best I've had in town) and cheers to the kitchen staff! More importantly cheers to our server Chris ...... exceptional service with awesome suggestions! We will be back for sure!!
I just went there last night for my birthday supper. Food was tasty and the steak was perfect. Only mushroom was too salty for me. The service was really good. Aidan, our server- he is very polite and did a great job. I'd definitely go back!!❤️❤️❤️

Overall food and vibes were amazing here. Steak was perfectly cooked. Their Brussel sprouts were out of this world tasty. Broccolini had so much flavor too. Def recommend that. Had to send the fries back as they were half cooked but they came back perfect. Dry aged ribeye was not impressive taste and texture wise. My tenderloin was perfect though. Mashed potatoes were basic.
I recently visited DOSC for brunch with my colleagues on a Friday before the holidays. I ordered the schnitzel, which was cooked to perfection crispy on the outside and tender inside. Best steak I ve ever had- hands down!! Service and atmosphere is phenomenal too. If you love steak, you ve got to try this place. Few veggie options as well but they have a variety of steaks. I got the strip loin and it was amazing !! Food

The server was nice, but he brought our food very late. The mushrooms were cold and I asked for another plate. The food portion is not matched with the price. It s a pricy place. The taste was ok. The dessert was ok. They even brought the dessert late. One shot is enough for this place :).
Food and service were both amazing. It was my first time here and the server was lovely. She convinced me to try the brussel sprouts and oh my god they were so amazing. All the reviews are so right! Ribeye was super tender and well marbled. Great experience tonight. Will be back.

Went for late night dinner for my anniversary on Saturday the 19th. We got there around 10:20ish and the host told us theyd already swapped to the late night menu. After we had placed our order we overheard the server talking to her table about how they were just about to swap over to their late night menu from there dinner menu and wanted to know if anyone wanted to order. Our server was great and so was the food just not what I had in mind for that night.
Where do I start? The kettle chips with the tartar are not home made... I asked. Kirkland chips with beef tartar. What kind of steak house has so little pride... My steak had 0 crust on it (I had the ribeye). Its like it was boiled. And to finish there was the 6 hours of vomiting and extreme diarrhea. Its a shame that a lower end place like montanas can deliver better food. Hopefully management reads this... steak tartar goes with bread not costco chips. Also, please teach your kitchen some food hygiene.

My husband and I tried out Dosc for the first time tonight and the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Chris, made it seem like a place we d been going to for years! The kale salad was a menu highlight!
If you are a meat lover, you should check out this place. They have a wide variety of beef, and you wont regret picking the A5 Wagyu. It was cooked well and I had a great time enjoying it. I would definitely go back.
We just visited DOSC today and it was a great experience. We had gone there to celebrate my friend s birthday and we loved the ambience. The cocktails were the best part and I remember it s justice who served us. She was truly welcoming and warm and truly one of the best services I ve ever received in Edmonton.
Stopped here for lunch on Saturday. As it turns out on Saturdays, brunch is served, not a specific lunch menu. I had the chicken & waffles and a mocha. The food was fantastic and our server was great. Nice atmosphere for an afternoon outing.

We had the Wagyu Hot Stone as an appetizer. Mouthwatering, melt-in-your-mouth, some other third thing that also references mouth cause that s where it belongs. So fkn good. Osso Buco & Ribeye for our mains. Delicious. Veg could use a bit more cook time, a lil too al dente for my taste. Seems like an industry standard though. Our server Damian was a pleasure to chat with, and provided excellent service. Atmosphere was great as usual. Loud. So, could be a little hard to hear but easy enough to maintain conversation. All in all, a good time.

Came for our wedding anniversary. I was skeptical of the menu as not much options too choose. But i found out it was seasonal. Cool! I decided to order Osso Buco. Meat was so tender, dont need effort almost to slice it. It was so delicious served with risotto. One more thing! Brussel sprouts for side dish was kicking out of the park!. Cant remember name of my drink but it was so good. Reminded me of my Asian back home. I totally forgot our server the name was, but she was so informative and helpful. We will be back again to try another menu!
It was our first time here! Very special date night tonight and couldn t have chosen a better restaurant, it was everything we wanted. Ella was so incredible - her kindness and recommendations resulted in us being extremely happy with our meals and our overall experience. Hard to believe she s new! We each had steaks and I had the dosc fries whilst my partner tried the smash potatoes - both were delicious!!! Thank you DOSC and Ella !!! <3
This Steakhouse & Cafe has the Best vibes. Food: For day time, they have delicious coffee, good selection of brunch menu items. My favourites include the salad, poutine, and brusselsprouts. For dinner, Steak is a little pricier but very well made. The Cocktails and Wine selection goes well with their food. Service: excellent service. Good attitude and helpful staff. Atmosphere: great vibes with choice of cozy seats and more regular style dining tables. I personally really enjoy the seats at the bar as well.

Corner booths all have HUGE rips and a lot of damage to the seats, if a women has a skirt or dress she will damage her nylons or have a imprint in her legs, honestly fix this ASAP it s inappropriate for a restaurant to have furniture that s falling apart. Overall most of the food was good, the 10oz ribeye was way undercooked the fat was still white and not rendered at all, DOSC needs to pick up their game and it can go from good to great again!
Best steak in the city. Angus Striploin is good. Very well prepared, and the service and atmosphere match.
I went in to check out their cafe option and had a dinner item as well. Their truffle fries were not that good despite their prices. Their drinks are very inconsistent in flavour, I ve been several times and each time the taste was either really good or terrible. For a place with their price tag, I expected better. Perhaps, I ll sit down and eat dinner there to see if it s worth it but so far, I m unsure.
Great food, freaky toilets
We had the oysters and kale Caesar for an appy. Oysters were amazing, kale Caesar was ok. We then waited for almost an hour for our main courses. Waitress did not come to the table to let us know what was going on. We finally flagged her down and our mains came shortly after. We had the rib eye steak which was cold and way too salty, had a smear of mashed potatoes under it. We also had the sea bass, again this dish was way too salty. I did let the waitress know, we ate the meal because we were starving but I was pretty disappointed in the mains.
Went here on a Thursday night for dinner! The atmosphere was very calm, music was not loud and we loved the fact that there were no screens, giving you a chance to have intimate conversations. Our server was great and on top of everything! We ordered cauliflower for starters and dry aged ribeye and king salmon for main Entrees. We both enjoyed/loved our meals! My exact words when the server came around to ask how the food was, HEAVEN . We will go again and try other options on the menu!
The food was superb but what set my experience apart from other restaurants was the exceptional service from my wonderful server, Amy. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. My food was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. Amy went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was top-notch. Her friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and impeccable timing made all the difference. I had the ribeye on pommes puree. Sounds fancy until it shows up. Very fatty and expensive...and 54 bucks. No vegetables. I wont eat here again.
Food was decent but was quite expensive. We noticed areas of black mold and the interior was poorly maintained given how expensive the food was. Overall, okay experience but overpriced
We had an unfortunate experience today, we had arrived and were greeted by a friendly host who was prompt and welcoming. After we were sat she brought water and menus and said someone would be over shortly. We took photos sitting down 15 minutes had passed and we started scanning around to see if anyone was available to help us. We saw staff visiting and talking with each other. Briefly the man in the barista apron came to the cafe area and I got up to go ask if maybe we misunderstood and needed to get up order. He looked directly at me and turned around. I went back to the table with a drink menu I grabbed from the cafe area. I got up again and waved and signalled a bit for help and was met with eye contact but I was blatantly ignored. After about 25 minutes of waiting in the very empty restaurant we got up to ask the host if she knew who was supposed to be helping us, she apologized and said no I m sorry the man in the barista apron stood feet away listening to the conversation and non-chalantly walked away again. We were able to verify how much time had passed with timestamps on photos we d taken upon arrival. I do feel intentionally ignored by staff and a bit insulted especially considering it was a purposeful decision for us to drive across the city specifically for a dish offered there.

Been coming here at least twice in a week since we moved here from Sydney, Australia. We order flat white, capp or iced latte with one sugar always. And always give decent tip for better service. Wanted to try something new today, ordered nitro cold brew. Waitress/barista who got my order came back saying it s out of stock, and I can get whatever I want instead, I requested iced latte with one sugar. She repeated the menu to double check and my husband and I both heard. And I said yes. But what I got instead was a confused latte with vanilla bean residue floating. It tasted extremely bitter and had a strong caramel flavour (cannot be even caramel latte cuz caramel latte shouldnt taste like this). It is either they put a pump of caramel or vanilla bean just because they do not have sugar syrup & couldnt be bothered to stir sugar this time. Couldve simply give me sugar on the side if they couldnt be bothered to do it for me honestly, I had a sip, thought for a while, since I am regular, I thought I better let them know for better service, and gave them back the coffee, explaining what happened. ( Shouldve taken photo of the coffee.). However his response was not something I expected. What manager/he did was shutting me down by offering another coffee, instead of checking what actually happened and apologize, and then maybe provide solution. I even insisted to pay for another one so that he understands that it is purely to give feedback of dissatisfaction for better service. So, I realized that this is not the right person to talk for better service of this cafe/bar. Wasnt even busy, only my husband and myself. They were talking in the corner all the time, I guess they wanted me to get lost with free drink so that they can enjoy their time. Cheers. Never coming back.

Honestly we thought this was going to be one of those pricy spots for smaller portions. Def WRONG. Great portion of chicken and toppings on both salads. Server was so sweet and food came out quick. For a steakhouse in Alberta, I had higher expectations for the steak. The ribeye (10oz) cut was thin and had a lot of gristle. That said, the cook and seasoning of it was good and the beef tallow mushrooms were spectacular! Those however did not make up for the subpar piece of meat. The cocktails were really well done - highly recommended the Murder on the Dancefloor one. Fun and delicious!
The food always surprises to the good. Top notch brunch. Try the brussell Sprouts, they will surprise you how good they are. Also, for not being a typical steak joint, they have as good a steak as anywhere.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a fantastic menu and great happy hour specials. The staff is excellent and well-trained, and the cocktails are delicious and well-priced. The food has never disappointed and the space itself is beautiful. It s a great spot for coffee during the day and great for taking meetings. I can t say enough good things about this place!

This is a place where I have wanted to visit for a while and I wasn t disappointed. The prices are high but I really enjoyed all my food and drinks. Bartender was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions on some new tries. Would recommend making a reservation prior.

Been here a few times and the apps, sides, drinks, are always on point. However, the steaks here had always been a disappointment... sad to say but this week was the worst ribeye Ive had all year. I always come back thinking it was a just a one off occasion but it had been consistently bad for me and been here a few times. Likely last time Ill come here for a steak but will likely come back for everything else.
Food was delicious once we actually got served. We sat down at 6:15pm, someone came and asked us for drinks, we weren t ready so they said they d come back. We waited 25 minutes before one of us eventually got up to ask them to finally take our order. That was super disappointing as it wasn t busy and I tried giving eye contact to multiple people who worked there. Our starters arrived 20 minutes later. They were very delicious, especially the brussel sprouts, kale Caesar salad, oxtail poutine, and steak tartare. Our mains arrived 45 minutes after that. Ribeyes were cooked well, but wagyu lacked a bit of flavour. Pasta, lobster tail, and chicken was decent. Overall, it wasn t my favourite experience but I would come back for the starters.
Too much of this steak was inedible fat, the potatoes were creamy and different. The price was not worth it on this night out.

Terrible service. We called and asked if they take reservations and the lady on the phone took our information down but it would be a 30 min wait time. We were 15 mins away so by the time we got there we felt like it would be fine to wait until we got our table. When we entered the restaurant no one greeted us for about 10 mins. Finally the hostess greeted us with a cold welcoming. She made us feel like we weren t going to get a table anytime tonight but she was beating around the bush and wouldn t give us a clear answer. We told her that we called and she then again put our names down on a random piece of paper and said she would call us in 30 mins. We never got a call that night. We saw some empty tables so I couldn t understand why we weren t seated. Very disappointed with this service. Don t eat here.
Just got done the most incredible dinner ive ever had! The service was absolutely incredibly and i cant sing enough praise for our server aiden, he was so helpful with making it the perfect experience! From helping us find the perfect beer for us to constantly making sure we had what we needed, he was absolutely incredible and i have never had service like that in my life. The food was absolutely incredible and some of the tastiest ive ever had in my life. Every thing made for the perfect aniversary dinner and i really cant say enough about how amazing the service was especially from Aiden!
You go there maybe take a sandwich in the bag. 45 mins wait there was issue with kitchen, okay but even though the server was very nice thats 3 stars for him but not the manager who was there but didnt bother to apologize to others who were waiting so long. In hospitality, you learn to value your patrons time. Maybe take a course on apologizing and rewarding people who wait to give you their time & Money. Food was good and very friendly server.

The following is my unanswered email from a month ago: My girlfriend and I booked a dinner reservation at your restaurant two weeks prior to the 1st of June at 515. Im reaching out to share our concerns regarding our experience. let me start by saying that the restaurant has a great vibes and the service from our waitress June was excellent. our concerns are two: we ordered two steaks, a tenderloin that we asked to be cooked medium rare and a ribeye that we asked for to be medium well. the tenderloin came back literally cold on the inside and maybe doesnt even fit the criteria of rare. The ribeye, which I ordere, was quite bloody and chewy and more on the rare side of medium. I had to send it back twice, the second time I emphasized the well in medium well. but even then it came back undercooked and I was just embarrassed to send it back a third time. My girlfriend was too shy to ask for hers to be sent back so she just nibbled on her steak and disposed the rest of it. we ordered the broccolini and it came with pork bits on it. On the menu it did not say that it came with any meat let alone pork. neither of us eat pork and after asking for our steak to be sent back twice we just didnt want to trouble our waitress again. I write this to offer you an opportunity to rectify this as this is not a run of the mill establishment. we spent over 250$ for dinner so our standards were a little higher.
Brydan was a ton of fun and gave us great service! Food, drinks and desserts were all good.
Cool spot. Food was great, and the kitchen was on their game because it came out fast. Cooked exactly to order. Service was attentive, great with suggestions and came around exactly the right amount. Not cheap, so not a frequent visiting spot, but worth it when you want a really good night out.

Best steak in town! It is walking distance from the sandman hotel we were staying at which was convenient. Great service and atmosphere overall. I recommend getting dry aged ribeye or the seared tenderloin steak.

Bad service my wife comes every morning around 11-12pm for our breakfast sandwiches She was upset when arriving home yesterday with our food . She told me the waiter told her was going to take her order if she didn t give her phone number next time prior to ordering The story is she called while she was standing outside the establishment to order our sandwiches they asked her name and for a phone number and she said oh I m just outside I ll be right in . The waiter said okay . As he handed the food to her he said next time you call I m not going to take your order if you don t give your phone number . She was pretty insulted with the the way he said things as she always goes there for us So better DOSC . Get your front of house in check
I brought my executive leaders who flew in from Ontario and some physician partners to dinner here and they were all impressed. Food was amazing and our server was fun and attentive. Really great experience. And for those who are asking what DOSC stands for - Drunk Ox Sober Cat.
I recently dined at one of the finest steak houses in Edmonton. The dry-aged ribeye, which is a classic Alberta steak, was their signature dish and it was absolutely delicious. What really surprised me was the coffee-rubbed steak that our server recommended it was truly exceptional.
We had literally the best dinner of our lives here. We went for our parents anniversary and it was the perfect place. It s nice enough that you can be fancy but also can be casual at the same time. Our food was absolutely incredible, our drinks were all amazing. None of us had one bad thing to say. Service and staff were very friendly. We will be going back!!

Come here for coffee quite often and like the atmosphere a lot and the table separation. Came here for dinner as it was ranked highly as a steakhouse. Firstly, when I arrived there was one other table seated and no one else in the restaurant. The hostess seated me right beside them, I did ask for another table; she gave me a look and moved me one table over. (It did t get much busier over the next hour and half). Ordered a steak, it was ok but definitely not something that puts it over others in town. It was the rib eye so I was expecting a steak thicker than 1cm. I do like DOSC, great old fashioned, this just wasn t my night.
WoW! We enjoyed our experience at DOSC. Firtstly, the place is beautiful and staff are super professional providing the best service. Secondly, their steak was the best steak I have ever had. I m not a steak fan but tried a slice of my bf s ribeye and that was AMAZING. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, well-seasoned and super delicious even without any sauce. The brisket poutine was ok though. Brisket was good but I personally didn t like the fries. I will go there in future for sure to try other types of steaks.
Was my first time here from a recommendation from a friend. I got the wagyu striploin and my wife got the ribeye. I honestly think I preferred how they prepared and made the ribeye compared to the wagyu. It wasnt bad but I just felt like it could have been better. The outside was over seared and while the inside was rare like I asked, the outside was very tough and almost cirpsy. I would not recommend the wagyu. My wifes ribeye though was cooked to perfection. If the wagyu came out like that I think it would have been amazing. The garlic mashed potatoes were lovely. Was hoping for a very memorable time but ended up with an okay time. The high tables dont have lean back chairs or anywhere to put a purse. No hook under the table so its sorta awkward for where to put your stuff if you have anything. We asked to be moved to one of the booths when one opened up. If you do make a reservation, ask for a booth. We saw another group get seated at these high tables and also asked to be moved to a booth.

We went for a birthday The portions are very very small, and the price is high. No one in the group was satisfied with their dish. The taste is good but not extraordinary. Cocktails good but very small. In conclusion, if you dont want to eat a lot and pay a lot, this is the place to go.

No where is perfect. But i was impressed Dry aged angus rib eye medium rare. Prefect Proportional rib cap to rib eye ratio Baked Bone marrow, curdo and mushrooms sides standard curdo with blood orange broth and mint was refreshing. cocktail puff the pink dragon with 10 year laphroaig was definitely a must Definitely will be back worth it.
Although a teenie bit slow this is one of the best restaurants I ve had in my life. The vibe was fantastic, the food even better. I ve grown up in Edmonton has had plenty of trendy, revered restaurants and I must say.. this is now my favourite restaurant Edmonton has to offer.

Came in with a group of 15ppl for a birthday celebration and the vibe was welcoming from the time you walk in, service could have been better but the place was busy so its understandable. Everyone at the table enjoyed the food, from the hot olive appetizers to the tenderloin. They had very unique and delicious drinks, very creative at the bar.

Came for a birthday dinner. Started with the Wagyu hot stone, it was delicious and buttery. Next had Rib-eye, mashed potatoes (so creamy!!) Truffle fries and jale caesar salad. Everything was flavorful and delicious! Our server Jordan was a sweetheart! We had a lovely time as our first experience and will definitely be back!
Damian provided exceptional service during my dining experience! He expertly recommended a combo steak option that perfectly matched my preferences and also suggested a fantastic beer to complement the meal. Damians attentiveness and knowledge of the menu made my visit truly enjoyable. I highly recommend asking for Damians assistance during your next visit! Not just Damian who was serving me, I highly recommend the chefs in this place and the whoever sets the vibe!! the music is so nice and the steak and the sauce is so nice that it s not enough regardless of whether you are served an elephants meal!

Overall good experience but I dont think we would come again! Service was amazing and it was super welcoming! However we were really disappointed with the food. We ordered egg bennies and there was VERY LITTLE SAUCE. We asked for more and they told us they ran out of the hollandaise sauce??? At a brunch restaurant...? So we were kind of shocked by that and the benny was pretty bland considering there was no sauce lol. My friend who got the philly steak and soup said her sandwhich was really salty. We loved the vibe and enjoyed the service but the food was very disappointing. No free parking, a few veggie options and a good selection of lattes/cafe food.
The service was absolutely great, the ambiance is nice, but the cuisine I haven t tried any of their cocktails, so I m judging only the steakhouse part. To describe it in one word - awful. Don t know why it is called steakhouse at all. You get a piece of meat that isn t grilled, but fried on a frying pan, no smokey flavorful crust, just something pale and tasteless. On top of that, if you order one of their Entrées (which is a combination of a steak with some sides), prepare to be double disappointed. I ordered a dry aged rib eye, which was supposed to come with some mashed potatoes and something else. Guess what! It comes sitting ON the mashed potato (ew). And the quantity of that potato is just enough to spoil the so called steak, but not enough to really accompany it. So, in overall, I came for a nice juicy smokey steak, but what I got was some horribly fried meat and two spoons of mashed potatoes.
Really loud in this place, its hard to have conversations. Other than that, good food nice decor.
My boyfriend and I went here for his birthday dinner, what an amazing experience! The Brussel sprouts were TO DIE FOR and the service was great! Big portions as well. They also have great non-alcoholic beverage options :) I would recommend to anyone!

Nice restaurant, the prices are just too high as you have to build all the steak meals. All the food was amaizng though and staff were great. Also, I didnt particularly love having a fancy expensive dinner music with many many swears. It wasnt appropriate at all. They need a better playlist.

Dosc. One of the bougier places I often go and dont feel out of the place. The breakfast menu here is really good. Once you go in you are greeted by the staff on the side who help you get seated and they have a really nice coffee bar with great lighting and couches in the middle. The atmosphere I personally feel doesnt work altogether? The sofas in the middle and the lesser light area towards the bar Im not the biggest fan of. The food though is really good and this place has one of the better matcha I had in the city which is rare. I would personally recommend the avocado toast. The steak could be improved a little. The service and staff are really accommodating and nice. Overall I would come again for the toast.
My husband and I have come to DOSC a few times, most recently for brunch. This time, we ordered their Eggs Benny (with salmon), and their feature sandwich (deep fried crab). We also ordered a couple of mimosas. The eggs benny was very good - eggs cooked well, hollandaise sauce was the right amount and also executed well. I dont always love salmon on my Eggs Benny, but this one was not so smoked and was very good. Side of smashed potatoes is always a hit. The feature sandwich was so good. I stole some bites and would have stolen more if I could. Mimosas were a bit disappointing this time. The spicy option was not as spicy as usual. The other miss here was the presentation. They used to serve their mimosas in a champagne style flute, filled up quite high. Now they have switched to more of a red wine glass, that looks about 1/8th full. Similar miss with the plating. My Eggs Benny was plated in such a way that a lot of the plate looked empty, and on being served, I immediately thought, well, this is pretty stingy especially considering the price. In reality it was enough to satisfy me, but again, they definitely need to give some more thought to how they are plating. Regardless, I would recommend coming here. It has a cute atmosphere, is very well located, food was good, as was service.
Drinks are good, dont get the food though. Atmosphere is great, I love the old buildings and how they decorated it. But the food is so heavy and fatty and often not cooked well. We had frozen fries in the same dish as burnt burger. Also super pricey. Vegetarian options: They have some veggie options, gluten free and I think had 2 vegan items.
Food was perfect. We truly enjoyed it.
I went to this restaurant for brunch with my dad who is visiting from the Caribbean. We were blown away by the impeccable service, delicious food and the outstanding ambience! The staff in particular were so friendly and efficient, we were very well taken care off. We are looking forward to booking for Dinner - overall highly recommended!!
This is our new favourite dinner spot! The atmosphere is perfect with a cocktail bar & a coffee bar. I had a honey latte, my partner had an old fashioned cocktail and both were delicious. We both ordered the ribeye, blue rare, cooked to perfection and an added bonus they slice the steak for you! One of the best parts for us is that the steaks are a la carte (sides are an added cost) which is wonderful as we generally follow a carnivore/animal based diet and dishes almost always come with sides we do not eat. My partner had the tallow cooked mushrooms, which were delicious and seed oil free! Next time we will request to have the steaks cooked in tallow. Carnivore approved! We cannot wait to come back!

Went here on a weeknight with my girlfriend and really did not enjoy the experience. I felt as though the wait staff was not very attentive, steaks were almost blue rare when we had asked for medium rare and there was a long wait to be seated because no one was at the front. My $50 steak also did not come with a side and mashed potatoes were $9!!! I enjoyed my beer and the carpaccio, neither of which involved any cooking.
Service is fantastic. I havent tried everything on the menu but the burgers are terrific as is every soup Ive tried however some dishes were not to my liking. This is my go to spot downtown for coffee, wine and casual eats
The evening and service started off great but as time went on the service disappeared. Lets talk about the positives, the Brussels sprouts, carpaccio, poutine and the rib eye is all good. All those items were top notch and tasted amazing. The negatives, the brisket on the poutine tasted boiled and had no taste, the kale Caesar was dry, no flavour and not enough dressing, $96 strip loin was horrible and not worth the price. The rib eye is better for taste and your wallet. Overall over priced for the food you get.
Good place for dining, only one thing, the food is to sweet, steak its not the best I tried. Cauliflower, its too much beshamell and cheese. The fish was absolutely delicious.
Came here for a drink after dinner with my partner celebrating our anniversary. My only regret is not coming here first ! Their dinner menu looks amazing! We ll for sure be back to test out their menu items. They have A5 waygu from Japan, their steaks look unreal! You can see the chefs working in the kitchen and you can tell they take pride in their work. Now for the drinks! Only the best quality right there. The bartenders are extremely friendly and attentive. They take their time to make your drink absolutely perfect. We had the best time here. Atmosphere also gets a 10/10.

Really cool space. Staff that is friendly. But service that took forever. Almost 2hrs to eat a meal and the steak was something Id expect at Dennys. Sorry guys, but if youre going to charge 200$ for dinner for two you have to deliver.
I love this place and have been frequenting it for years now. However, tonight I was particularly impressed with the gorgeous Jaded Journey cocktail - it s probably the best one I ve had in my years of visiting! Please, please, PLEASE keep it on the regular menu! I would love to keep coming back to it!

We had an early reservation for 8 on a Saturday evening, the service was great from the moment we arrived. Our drinks were kept full and appetizers were hot and tasty our table had chicken, strip steak, the burg and the salmon - we all left more than satisfied
Stopped in for brunch today. It was such an awesome experience! Loved the concept of the restaurant/lounge/café that you could visit comfortably at any time of day. Brunch was delicious and an awesome value. Tons of vegetarian options, which was nice. The iced chai and matcha latte were SO good. We will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options on the brunch menu.
The staff were awesome, coffee is great. I used to frequent this place but found the food has gone downhill a bit as has the venue. A bit of maintenance and a dash of interest on the (lunch) menu could go a long way. Dietary restrictions: I got gluten free eggs Benny. The bread is the same as the one I use at home, so I was confident in the food. But I got sick right away, maybe cross contamination? Was tasty but not overly impressive.
Tenderloin, garlic mashed, and drinks were excellent. Service was hard to come by.
They were very busy tonight, and kept up with their great service. I ordered the steak tartar, please spend the extra money to get the focaccia. Their kettle chips looked like they were ruffles, not sure if it was fresh or from the bag.

My wife and i have been here about 12-16 times since we stumbled across it in late 2019 after a hockey game. To be fair, when they are fully staffed with regular servers and chef(s), this place is one of the better dining experiences in Edmonton, if you are willing to pay. It can be a pricey night out, but if you expect to pay for a higher end experience, this place does not disappoint most times. When they are on, the service is excellent with personable, engaging servers and very tasty fine dining type quality food. We have had a couple of sub-par evenings here. We attribute that to new or non-regular staff, especially during special evenings. However, management on staff were fair to make things better during both these experiences and genuinely wanted to make things right. We have recommended DOSC to friends a number of times and they consistently have excellent things to say. DOSC has a number of trained mixologists tending the bar. If you like high end liquors and different cocktails, this is definitely a must try place. Great place for a date night. Sometimes, we will just sit at the bar, talk to the mixologists and order appetizers. Highly recommend to try this hidden gem in Edmonton s Ice District.
Its our first time to come here, bartenders were great very accomodating. Drinks were awesome, and so was the place. We ordered brussel sprout for starter, and they are to die for. But we are very disappointed for the main course we had salmon but its bland no seasoning or taste at all. We had dry aged rib eye and it was chewy and tough there steak knife cant even sliced it. We ordered medium rare and they gave us rare. Our bartender take it back to the kitchen and they gave us new one, they burnt one side of the steak and rare on the other side. Second steak was the same, they gave us tough and chewy steak again. Our bartender said the manager will come to talk to us, but no one came. They still charged us full price for the steak that they messed up twice, and we barely ate. Not recommending this restaurant for main course food as it is expensive. You dont get the quality that you pay for, which is not worth it at all. The manager doesnt seem to care about customer

Quick highlights of the restaurant last night. Absolutely phenomenal service especially from Shaquille. 5 of us went to celebrate a friends birthday and she certainly felt special. The steak was cooked perfectly. I knew I was eating high-end grade quality steak because of the way it melted in my mouth. It was made the way you are supposed to eat a steak. The music was unreal and perfect with the crowd. Mature millennials. The sound was not very loud but perfect to hear the music and have a great conversation with all my friends without yelling across the table. Moreover, appreciated the lighting! I know lighting might sound a bit much to rate. But it was perfectly dimmed enough where it was not very dark. And, great for pictures! The drinks were exceptional there were so many options! Really good stuff. Well deserved 5 .
Do not sleep on this place, especially the cafe. The use beans from a local Edmonton roaster (Rogue Wave, also worth checking out). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they have a stamp card for the occasional free beverage. Brunch menu is great, and portions match the prices. Wife loves the avocado toast to death.

Absolutely amazing dinner experience in the private dining room. The service was so attentive and informative on top of the food being out of this world. Edmonton knows how to do meat! The new kale Caesar salad is one of the best Caesar s I ve had and the A5 wagyu on the hot plate was such a cool experiential eat. Was so impressed by the knowledge of the staff and went home with extremely full bellies. Highly recommend the super cool black sesame whiskey drink (Black Swan) it was like black sesame mochi ice cream in drink form. Thank you!
Came for the pop up korean event with a girlfriend and had a great time. Food for popup came out fast and our server was able to tell us her favorite dishes and we agreed on her choices. Great place will visit again.
Absolutely fantastic! Went in for the first time and really enjoyed the menu for Downtown Dining week. Booked a reservation and was seated promptly when we arrived on time. The wait time to place our first order was a bit on long, but our server was very nice and constantly checked on us throughout our courses afterwards. They also explained the aspect of each course so it was more enjoyable to eat our meals, knowing what went into them! We started off with their All Inclusive from their Sober Cat menu, and its something that wed definitely order again when we go back! Ordered bone marrow (very melt-in-your-mouth), their DOSC ceasar salad (great flavour and crunch), 8 oz Smoked Juniper and Coffee Rubbed Flat Iron (a bit tough of a cut but enjoyed the deeper flavour it gave) and Rigatoni a la Vodka (had a pleasant kick of heat that we didnt expect but really enjoyed). Ended things off with their Chocolate Pave that was very rich and decadent, but we couldnt finish it as we were full from the previous courses. Loved it! Would visit again!
Sober Cat Drunken Ox: The cafe section of DOSC is amazing. Its got a super vibe and is busier than ever these days. Open space with antiquated furniture. Its a perfect partner to the steak house and bar. Service was good and the java is super. The only point I have to make is that since the restaurant is open later I wish the cafe would be too. DOSC (Brunch): Amazing offerings for brunch. I had no idea this was even open for brunch but now this will definitely be a go to spot downtown on the weekends. Love the hip vibe and the ultra chic decor.
All around great experience. The service was great: super friendly and really on top of everything. While everything we had was great, the cocktails in particular were fun, unique, and delicious.

Went during the evening and it wasnt busy until around 6:30pm. Ordered the dosc fries w/cheese and gravy, it was good but a tad salty & we found the cheese got cold quite quick so if you like it melted, eat the poutine quickly. The striploin was cooked well however it wasnt salted enough so we had to ask our server for salt and pepper. Its also unfortunate that the striploin doesnt come with any sides other than a few pieces of onion. The salad was probably the best part of our meal to be honest. Its very loud inside so sometimes you cant hear who youre trying to converse with. Overall experience was okay but Im not sure if I would come back.
I finally tried out DOSC after hearing about it for so many years. In terms of food, I opted for their Brisket Benny instead of the steaks that they re more known for. The benny was decent but didn t stand out so I d give it 7.8/10

Came here on a Tuesday night with my mom, the atmosphere was great! Interior design and vibe was definitely prioritized when they built the place. The food was not bad, it s what I d expect from this restaurant although it was priced well Our server Sheldon was amazing! Really nice guy, caters to your experience and has a great vibe. He s the reason why I d come back! Overall 8/10 and probs would come back If the food was great it d be a 10/10
