This is my favorite resto-bar so far! Food here is outstanding

Excellent food, atmosphere and Service.

Flame & Barrel is a must-try! Their bruschetta and drunken mussels are insane. Great vibes, awesome service.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal with our family. The service was amazing thanks to JJ.

We chose to have our corporate Christmas Dinner at the restaurant and we needed a space for around 40 guests. Raj and Jay were extremally helpful answering all the questions both of them, communicated with me by phone calls, emails and I popped by the restaurant to check the space. They assured me their servers were able and experient to tackle the guests with agility and Tristin and Shae special thanks to the two amazing ladies, but it was a very coordinated show with the kitchen crew - the bar crew the reception ladies, the service was stellar to say the least. I was in charge of the negotiations and I was assured from the start to the end with the last guest leaving that everybody was served, satisfied with the food - our employees brought their +1 to this dinner - I must say - no disappointments. I was thanked many times by my co-workers for the choice of restaurant, the quality of the food and the service it been provided. The staff left us at our area to do our rafle (we were not super noisy), the ambiance was perfect, the music was tasteful; we took cute Christmas pictures with funny props, we have fun. Everybody left happy. I had been to the restaurant for drinks or for a quick burger before, however Id highly recommend for large parties as well. It was an event to be remembered by all from my workplace. Cheeerss to all and Happy Holidays! Parking: They have a lot of parking available, very accessible, easy & safe location.

We have enjoyed their pizza twice now, picking up. Had to write this to say we are impressed enough by our experience that we will be regular customers. The sauce is excellent, and their crust is one of the best I have tasted since coming to Edmonton 10 years ago. We are looking forward to dining in at this place because the menu has a good variety. Thank you to the staff and owners.

This was our first time dining here as we live 90 mins away. Food was good but would not return because the food was outstanding. Understand that it is also a bar and when the hockey game started and the volume was turned on it got very loud. We were not able to be able to carry on a conversation without really raising our voices. This made it nearly impossible to understand what our waitress was saying. We had some difficulty understanding her before the game started but once it did that was it.

I reserved an area in the lounge for a team function. From booking through to the end of the event everything was spectacular! JJ was incredibly attentive and the service was fantastic. Throughout our activity (painting) he continually checked in on everyone and made sure we all had what we needed. We had appies while painting and meals following, all of the food was delicious. Highly recommend Flame & Barrel, whether intimate, casual dining or as a group. Thanks JJ!

Was looking for an alternative restaurant to our usual to take my daughter and her friend, and happened upon this on our google search. At first I wasnt sure if it was a place where we could take them, so I called. The manager was very informative and advised minors are allowed with an accompanying adult, so we decided to go and try it out. We went in early (5pm) and the place was bright and welcoming. The staff were attentive and the food was prepared to our liking. Our waitress , Rosie, was very professional, polite and kept checking to make sure we were happy. As we dined the place got busier and lively with conversation. Rosie, the hostess and the manager were on top of it and our evening was a success. Highly recommend . Will be back. Oh and the sizzling brownie was a hit with everyone at the table. Definitely a sweet evening with a sweet ending. Thank you! Parking: Parking right out front. Perfect for those freezing evenings! Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking in front with a ramp to access the walkway. No stairs at entrance so accessible for all.

Food was full of flavour and good variety. The service was top notch. Was not busy at the time but Definitely going back. Kid-friendliness: Three year old loved the burger and fries, and she is fussy!!

Sorry I dont have pic for the food since its quick lunch but weve steak sandwiches, bruschetta, Peruvian beef sandwich, mushroom soup and chicken wings. The foods seasoned to perfection. First time here and quite pleased. We were visiting in Edmonton and stopped in for a light supper...and will probably come again next time we are in Edmonton. The staff were well dressed and polite all around. A special thank you to Tristan for the excellent service you provided.

I live across the street in Windermere Waters Condo Complex and my fiancé and I come there often. Usually we re being served by Tristan (or Kristan) I can t remember her name but she s THE BEST of the best and she is also on your social media instagram reels a lot. This time we had a different server. She was also fantastic but didn t steal my heart as much. This time is was a ladies night (so much needed) and the best thing that Flame and Barrel could have done? They accommodated the cocktails that were NOT in the menu! And they made a fantastic job. Will keep coming back!

Wonderful place, my first date

100% would not be come back. Service was definitely not good as we were asked after our meals were finished about refills on pop/water. Their special was nothing to write home about. While they asked how we d like the steak to be cooked, they did not deliver. Came nearly cold, risotto was barely warm, the only thing on the plate that was actually cooked to perfection and warm was the carrots. While we are typically not picky eaters, nor do we write a negative reviews- would highly not recommend coming to this restaurant. Spend your money elsewhere.

My family came here in a big group for a birthday celebration. The food was great and the service was excellent. Our server, Rosie, was very nice and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.

My first reaction when walking into the place was this is going to be noisy and I thought I made a mistake in choosing this place to meet with friends that we havent seen in a decade. As busy as it was, it wasnt loud and our table felt private, even though it wasnt. Also, I cant explain but they must have some amazing acoustics or they just got lucky somehow, either way, it was nice to not be drowned out by the sounds of a place. As far as the menu and food goes, it was a nice selection, the food was tasty and cooked perfectly and was a fair price in todays market. We all enjoyed our meals, I had the ribeye, my wife had a chicken dish, my friend had butter chicken and his wife had a Jack Burger. No complaints. The service from start to finish was wonderful, friendly, welcoming and professional. We truly enjoyed our evening and would gladly come again Highly recommended. Five Stars.

First time here and will definitely come back. The food tasted very good especially the scallops and shrimp. The sauce was delish! The presentation was a bit weird as it came in this huge plate. We had the striploin and it tasted good. For dessert, we had the sizzling brownie and creme brulee. I was a bit disappointed with the creme brulee because it tasted like baked eggs. Lastly, shoutout to our server RoseM! She was great!

From the moment we arrived and were blessed with the energetic, enthusiastic, aiming-to-truly-serve attitude of Riley, we had a 5-star experience. He was attentive, funny, sweet, and sometimes over-the-top kind and we loved it. We only say over-the-top because the exceptional and extraordinary service that this young man provided surpassed anything weve seen. He ensured we were happy with everything, that we were never wanting for a comfortable combination of tables and chairs, a beverage or attention - while giving us time and space to enjoy the company around the table. He checked to see if we were happy with our food and when one of us had an improperly prepared steak, he repeatedly apologized, agreed with the customer and persisted with the kitchen until it was corrected. Riley listened and responded in kind. (The manager also visited the table and authorized a reduction on the bill - classy) In addition to our server, the food was top notch - we had lamb chops, the pear salad with grilled chicken, rib eyes, steak salad, chicken supreme and appetizers - bruschetta, brie and beef tenders. We were comfortable laughing and chatting buoyantly and staying as long as we wanted. Great experience.

We went off peak hours for an early supper. It was a treat for my partner and I after accomplishing a lot during the day and what a treat it was. The ribeye steak was just maybe the best Ive had and at a more affordable price than Ruths Chris. The vegetables were also cooked just right! SO.GOOD!! Well worth it!!!

Awesome food!

Eleven people for lunch for a Birthday celebration. Everything was perfect, table ready, waiter was attentive, but not annoyingly so. Food was fantastic, great atmosphere. We will go back.

My husband and I have been here a few times and it never disappoints. Last night we brought my mom for a birthday dinner. The food was great, our server Rosie was very attentive and personable, and my mom received a surprise birthday dessert. Great local restaurant; we will be back!

Jas was an excellent server! Food was very tasty and arrived in a good timeframe. However I ordered the Penne Pesto and although it tasted amazing, I do wish there was an option to get tofu as there was no protein option for this vegetarian dish.

We have been to this restaurant twice recently and are very impressed with the friendless of the staff and the delicious food served promptly. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a casual meal out.

I looked up good steak houses in Edmonton, this was the first to pop up so I figured I d go try it out. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and an amazing menu. Can t wait to go back!!

Pleaed with having eaten here but mystified by the fact that I had come into the restaurant earlier to make a reservation before a movie to get a later time and was told I could not make a reservation as you were full, Then I stood there in front of your receptionist and made a reservation on line and it was fine. Why could your hostess not make us a reservation in the first place. Made me feel as if there was some reason we were not wanted as clientele. The Steak sandwich was delicious!

Stopped in here for an early supper with the family on a Friday afternoon. Atmosphere was great, service/waitress was super friendly, positive, upbeat, and the food was amazing. I had been craving a good steak for some time and the nailed it. Ribeye with the seafood in the creamy cheese sauce (forget the name) it was amazing.

First visit to this restaurant but it wont be the last! Really nice atmosphere - open and nice but still semi-casual, playing a lot of 80s music and a variety at just the right volume level. Not too dark, not too bright, comfortable booths. Service was excellent and food was very good. Had the prime rib on a Sunday - a wee bit pricey but good. We will be back!

First time at flame and barrel and it was amazing. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is so welcoming, and the food is great. Jas the restaurant manager went above and beyond and made our first experience wonderful. Greeted with a smile and great attitude from the second we walked in and left. We live on the other side of the city but we will be making more trips to flame and barrel. Definitely worth it.

I had the steak salad. The steak was really good but needed just a bit more seasoning and the salad had too many red onion. I would order the dish again because despite those things it was really good. Our waitress, don t recall her name but we sat up in the sw corner booth by the slider to the patio, was super nice. Very friendly and attentive despite it being very busy in there. Hats off to her :)

In Novembre 2023, I celebrated my retirement party in the restaurant. The food was excellent & the restaurant was very clean with a relaxed vive. This was my first time here and I ve been living in the community for 2 years. Our server was so pleasant, in such a great mood, it s nice to see a smile. I ordered the Canadian Star burger and it was the best burger I ever had. Our guests had steak and lobster and pepperoni pizza and raved about delicious it was. Highly recommend, the menu has a bit of everything, to accommodate your taste.

The restaurant was only 1/4 full. They attempted to seat us near the waiters table, seated. The hostess was accommodating by allowing to seat us in a booth in a quieter area. Rib eye steak was thin, look like a cheap cut, definitely not a rib eye, veggies were water logged with both meals. Fish dry, asparagus limp totally, ouch for $180 it definitely not what I expected. We drove from St Albert. I definitely would not recommend your restaurant. The server never asked why we were taking 1/2 of meals , all veggies home for dog. Parking: Windermere

I ordered steak sandwich, what came to the table was actually steak with one piece of bread! Not even two breads to be able to call it a sandwich! I asked for medium and it was medium rare!

While our server, Rose, provided exceptional service, the food unfortunately did not meet expectations. The Monday Thanksgiving Special lacked depth of flavor and was missing a key element: mashed potatoes a staple for this type of meal. The stuffing resembled dry, balled-up bread with no noticeable seasoning, and the absence of gravy was a significant letdown. The pumpkin pie felt like a store-bought frozen dessert, leaving much to be desired. Although the special was advertised as a three-course meal, the only standout was the starter salad. Additionally, we ordered the nachos and steak sandwich, which were satisfactory but nothing remarkable.

Came here for my friend s birthday dinner and had a really nice time. The manager was soo nice and took care of our reservation. They were extremely welcoming. We were served by Ereda. And I will say, she is the best server I have ever seen. She was soo polite and had a big smile on her face. She gave honest opinions about the food and helped us decide what to get lol. She truly made our experience exceptional. The food was really good too. Will definitely come back here.

The host was very polite. Steak lunch Coffee needed to be hotter and remade. But that was a small thing, considering the rest was perfect. Clean, professional, and reasonable prices.

Love this place !

Everything about this place was average at best. First I ordered the Fish & Chips but I could taste the old dirty oil in the fish so I sent it back. I then ordered the Pesto Penne which had olives, tomatoes, peppers and onions in it. It sounded delicious on the menu but when I got it, I saw they used canned sliced olives. Very disappointing as the dish could have been significantly elevated just by using good quality olives instead. It was Boston Pizza style dining with higher prices.

Unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. For my very first time visit, service was not too bad but the meal,the main course was awfully salty and the overall taste was not edible.I don t think I will be trying anything there again. I hope it s better for others. Kid-friendliness: The meal was ok.

We ve been here several times and the food and service are consistent and great. A varied menu, definitely something for everyone. Tonight our server was Siera and she was friendly and attentive. A great little place in Windermere and a nice change from the chain restaurants.

Had the Prime Rib special on Sunday night! The thickness and size of the roast was huge! The flavour of it was awesome! Au jus was so flavourful and Yorkshire was scrumptious! Ambience and attentive service was just top notch! Juspreet was fantastic!! I was very impressed and would highly recommend!

We went here for my moms birthday last night. The food and service was ok but at least 3 of the meals had the wrong side and had to be sorted out. The staff did correct and it was a minor inconvenience. They have a nice menu with a variety of dishes for everyone. Check them out and give them a try.

If you like the Keg but want to try something new? I would recommend this place. Food is Devine, risotto is amazing! Steak was great, chicken was also delicious. It might not seem as fancy as the Keg, but the Food was honestly better. I was too excited to eat the food, forgot to take pictures.

Food, service and prices are fantastic, few too many screaming kids, but that was not the restaurants fault. My only real complaint is the automatic door that goes to the patio, I was sitting facing it and every time it opened, the sun would be in my eyes, and it was really hot outside and the door took far too long to close after being opened, and it would open every time one of those kids I mentioned earlier would go near, so needless to say, it was open a lot. They did eventually shut it down for the evening, but we were already done by then. I am absolutely going back though. Went for a family dinner to celebrate a birthday last night. It was all of our first time at this restaurant. The manager (Jas I think his name was - so sorry if I misheard you!) served us and he was so pleasant to deal with! Great sense of humor - put up with my Dads many dad jokes. Always an A+ in our books when someone can keep up with his sense of humor. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and food. Only comment was that it did take a bit of time for the food to come out..however it was all hot and delicious so really cannot complain! I specifically had the Cajun chicken burger and fries. Burger was tastey ..not too spicy at all and the fries were perfectly crisp! I also enjoyed a tequila Paloma - was made very well and hit the spot! We all would come back again and try more things.

First time visit - to be honest I was disappointed. I came here based on some reviews and the food was just ok. My NY striploin was very gristly and underseasoned. Potatoes and veggies were bland. Mushrooms were an extra charge and werent very good. Cognac peppercorn sauce is also underwhelming. Neither worth the upgrade. We did have bruschetta as an appetizer and that was quite good. Cheesecake for dessert - it was also just ok.

Leaving 4 stars because they did correct their mess ups but dont think id go back. Firstly, t e waitress forgot our appetizer. Secondly, They have a vegetarian menu with a pesto penne on it. I advised the waitress that i was vegan and explained that meant i cant have eggs, dairy, or meat that advised that i was allergic to daory and shellfish. I asked the waitress, If I removed the parm, would it be safe for me and she advised yes. I received the dish, and it was very evidently creamy to the point that there had to have even been cheese melted in it. I asked another waitress if there was dairy in it, and she advised that there was after actually checking with the kitchen. Its hard to eat at some restaurants already because of restrictions, and I articulate and communicate myself well so that I can still enjoy new places with friends and family. They did offer me the Asian stir-fry made vegan and made it with haste so that I wasnt sitting and waiting much longer. It wasnt that good and I had an upset stomach through to the next day. They did apologize and gave a free cocktail as well as the appetizer that we advised we no longer wanted for free. It was brushetta and we felt obligated to force it down after saying we didnt want it so it wouldnt go to waste since the penne was already wasted. Again, they were apologetic and made efforts to correct the mistakes which is the only reason theres 4 stars.

Wife and I went in for the afternoon, our server was amazing, wish I could remember her name. The food overall was very good, I had a steak wife had a lettuce wrap. The sauce they put on the chicken is excellent my steak was cooked perfectly. Guinness on tap so win

This was our first time eating here. The service was polite and friendly! The food was amazing, our table had a steak with potatoes and veggies as well as the gluten free pizza. The food we ordered was amazing as always, Rachel was our server and she was very attentive to make sure we always had everything we needed. She is one of the best servers we have ever had and we go to flame and barrel just to see her. I have found the prices on the menu to be a bit high though, otherwise we always enjoy our dinner here.

We recently dined at Flame and Barrel, and it was a fantastic experience! I had the prime rib, which was cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My wife had the chicken carbonara, and she loved it! The dish was creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. We also tried the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was amazing the perfect balance of creamy custard and crispy caramelized sugar. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend!

Amazing food and excellent service! My mom ordered the stir fry which was a little too spicy for her liking so our waitress took it off our bill and give us a card for a complimentary appetizer for our next visit. It made our night! Thank you again! We will definitely be going back

We waited 3 days before writing this review to take the emotion out, we were so disappointed in our experience. The experience started off good, our waiter was responsive and greeted us and took our order for drinks, that is when things went sideways. He never dropped our drinks off and left us for dead. We had to ask many differant servers for our appetizers and entree orders. My wifes steak was well done when she asked for medium rare and my steak was medium rare when I had ordered rare. Like Black Pearl this restaurant lacks ambience and is way overated for its price point

Looked after our kids patiently. Prime rib was best I ve ever had. Crust spice. Au jus. Impeccable. Everyone raved about their food and that s no small feat. Always someone picky about something. Not this time. Great price on domestic local beer. Dessert was crème brûlée. Light as air. Perfect again. 100% experience front to back.

The food was great, lovely atmosphere our server I believe her name was Tammy, extremely polite and helpful, only negative thing I would say is we had company and not the human kind a few fruit flies kept bugging us, apart from that I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in for lunch - had pizza and beef sandwich with house salad. Amazing food - music was at a reasonable volume and Tristin was a wonderful server. Definitely coming back.

Me and my friend visited from Winnipeg and the manager made our experience a personable one! He was very interactive, was curious about our background, was attentive, and extremely friendly. We visited twice in a row in one night! The food menu is very broad as well. We would definitely come back!!

They were able to accommodate allergies, super friendly and great service! Dietary restrictions: Able to accommodate soy & dairy allergies! Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly, have a kid menu with choices for the kiddos.

Nice place, good selection of foods on menu, service excellent and fast. Only downside was that all of our meals were not hot when served and we didnt say anything because you feel bad sending it all back. The fried brie appetizer was actually cold in the middle. So we will not go back since you dont go out to have to complain.

Our server was lovely and very knowledgeable about the menu. The prime rib steak sandwich was amazing! Dietary restrictions: I am anaphylactic for shellfish and our server spent considerable time with me and then with kitchen staff to make sure that I wasnt choosing options which would put me in danger.

I come here regularly for a good beer , peroni , alley kat some of many of my favs. The staff are excellent and the environment is great , and the food is very good . Try the Peruvian beef skewers. They were so good I remembered to take a picture here.

Amazing food! Fast, tasty and fresh quality! We were there yesterday at 6 Pm. I did make a special request on the reservation to have a note for my Husband saying Congratulations on the new job. It was not on the table when we arrived and I had to ask the waitress twice about the note in front of my Husband which kind of ruined the idea. The waitress was extremely friendly but also very forgetful. About 10 minutes after she took our order, she came back and asked if our order has been taken. Other than the note and the forgetful waitress it was a nice meal. Dietary restrictions: Alot of fair options.

The food was good, the service was horrible. We were there for my mother-in-laws 77th birthday, the waitress dropped the dishes on the table and they shattered and the food and ketchup flew all over my mother in law. The purse and shirt and her arms were all dirty, she was stressed for the entire evening. The waitress did not offer to compensate the meal, i had to ask and even then it was only $20.00 off. The bills were all wrong and discounts were not applied for the 25% off appetizers. One waiter walked by one of the guests and spilled water on her dress and purse. The floors were sticky, we needed to sanitize our shoes at home and the mens bathroom had no hand paper, my spouse had to ask several times for hand towels and they still did not rectify. I wish this was not the case, because our last visit was impeccable. Sadly, it left a bad taste in everyones mouth especially my mother-in-law who was supposed to be enjoying her last birthday, she is dying from cancer. Never again will I go to this establishment.
