The Cantonese chow mein is perfectly cooked, the egg rolls are crispy and the sauce is amazing, that you will need to ask for a double order - well worth it!
Tam’s Restaurant in Edmundston, New Brunswick, serves some of the best Cantonese chow mein, egg rolls, and wonton soup I've ever tasted. Highly recommended!
Tam’s Chinese in Edmundston, NB is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious takeout Chinese food. What sets Tam’s apart is their attention to detail and commitment to quality. Every dish is served hot and fresh, with generous portions that ensure you get great value for your money.
Lovely young Lady took my order. I'd say the quantity for the price is small. But definitely is a good restaurant. I'm glad to see it back open. This place is takeout only for now.
Menu is simple but size is generous. Happy to see this good Chinese restaurant in a small town.
Very tasty for really good price! Staff was very kind with our kids! Thank you so much!!!
This place is pretty good considering the location. It was definitely better than expected, especially considering the ingredients used in some of the dishes. This is a fairly western chinese food restaurant, so take that into account. The dishes ordered were Chicken Chow Mein and the Lunch Combo B. The Chicken Chow Mein was very well done, the chicken was tender and had good flavor. The vegetables were also very soft and absorbed the flavor of the sauce well. The portion was fairly large and the Chow Mein part was made using a fried crispy noodle bits, unconventional but acceptable. The lunch Combo b was again good, the chicken balls were a fair ratio of chicken to batter with the batter being crispy and the chicken being soft. The egg roll was standard. The fried rice was pretty perfect. Not too salty or oily. The beef noodle was again not conventional, pasta noodle was substituted for actual flat rice noodle. The beef was cooked very well though, a great soft texture. Service was prompt and courteous. The interior was well spaced. Parking is a bit tight for the amount of tables present. Overall a positive recommendation. With better ingredients I bet it would be stellar.
We reached the part of town that had very limited number of restaurants and upon seeing a Chinese restaurant we decided to give it a try after doing some reading. The restaurant is tiny with limited tables. The menu itself is very limited and had no vegetarian options. Upon asking if they can make some adjustments, which they could. We were not too hungry so we just ordered a vegetarian Fried Rice and Stir Fried Vegetables. The Fried Rice was heavy on Soy Sauce and low in any other flavours and very few vegetables. The Stir Fry had some Bok Choy, cauliflower and broccoli. The Stir Fry had lots of garlic and that's it. For a small town, our expectations were very low and the food met those expectations.
Top :)
Delicious, good price, English service Complete meal for 4 people to feed two adults and two young children (little left) *Attention: new price compared to those in the Google photos. **Just take away (no on-site or delivery)
Good buy time to time
Its ok. Vegetables were a bit over cooked and portions are small but the quality is there. Chicken chow main is more like moo gu guy pan which personally I like.
Fresh to order. Home made and super good chinese food.
Being from out of town passing through to Nova Scoti a and not speaking french, the owner was so nice compared to other business owners in the area! Food is delicious! We will definitely stop when passing through again!
We got several Chinese items yesterday after hearing many great reviews. We were terribly disappointed and wont order from there again. The ribs were dry as heck, the sweet/sour sauce for chicken balls was a runny/liquid and the chow mein, rice and egg rolls were tasteless. The dry garlic ribs are actually honey garlic ribs dry as fire wood. We threw most of it in the garbage.
Best chinese ever,great service
The food was hot and flavourful!
Amazing for the amount you get
Best Chinese food in town :D
Sucks I cant dine in, thats why loss of points, but my fav place in town for a Cantonese chow mein
Best canton chow main and egg roll in NB
The food is always good and hot
Still so good
Best Chinese in town
Very good service and delicious
Delicious as usual and best service, thank you to all team.
Interesting joint...best left to the locals
It was very good
Little local chineese restaurant . Best chineese place in town . Take out only at the moment. Worth the try!
Very good
Would rather take out than dine in since the dinning room is a bit small to my liking. Too bad they no longer deliver. But this family operated restaurant serves the best chinese food in town. Definitely worth a go!
Best Chinese restaurant in town. Cheap meals, quick and friendly service.
The food was very good.. The sweet lady was very busy on this Fathers day
Very good
As always, very good Chinese food
Best Asian around. Fresh!
They need another emplyee to take care of the phone & take out only on week ends. Its too busy for one waitress. She has to answer phone for take out, tend the cash register, wait tables & bus tables as well. The restaurant clentele suffers with the excessive running. Also they need to get rid of the loud door buzzer. Food is good but atmosphere sucks.
Not Chinese noodles lol
Very good and really reasonable in price
It was my first time there bit probably not the last. Food and service was great.
Good service and food
This is simply the best Chinese food restaurant in Edmundston. They primarily serve North American Chinese food but they have a couple of authentic Asian dishes that reflect their Cantonese background. I like to eat the butter fried shrimp and the chicken egg foo young with extra gravy and Cantonese chow mein. Those are my favorite dishes at this restaurant.
Food was great service was great
Meal for six was great. Decent price
Best tasting Chinese food place in town
No wait but just okay food
Stopped here one the way between Edmundston and Quebec City a small nice Chinese place for lunch . Limited options and catered to my vegan partner, nice place for a quick stop for lunch
My favorite for tasty food on a very reasonable budjet. A tradition for me each time I go back to Edmundston. Recommended!
Cozy place but nothing too special
Nice food, really nice prices. You get a good amount of food for what you pay. Its all fresh cooked and homemade. We were driving through and needed good food close by our hotel and decided to take a chance. The menu is small but they hit all the main options for simple Chinese food. The gentleman waiting on us told us theyd been in business 33 or 34 years, which says something.
Its good
Service and the food is always great.
Food is good but they stopped making chicken soo-guy. Very disappointed.
Best Chinese in town
The meal was good, the service was average
Come rain or shine at Tams, the meal is always excellent and the staff are always friendly.
If I could give this ZERO stars I would. Absolutely the worst Chinese food ever. I believe if the Chinese knew that this place was serving this garbage and calling it that theyd be pissed.
This small restaurant is located right down my street and serve some of the best Chinese food in town. The small dinning area makes for an intimate dinning experience. The food is very affordable, they serve moderate size portions and the food quality has always been above average. They have fast delivery services for those who prefer to order take out. Also very clean with excellent service. The menu is somewhat limited but the combination plates are quite varied. If you prefer an intimate chinese dinner in a cozy restaurant rather than a loud busy buffet, then Tams might just be what you are looking for.
