For date nights or family outings, we have been here a lot. We ve never once been disappointed!

Food and the staff were amazing ! Friendly and chilled environment. Amazing drinks ! Or waitress was very sweet.

Best local pub in the area. Friendly servers. Great food and cocktails. Try the Tuna Tataki..... seriously.

Absolutely love this place ! Ordered the Busholme Burger and it was delicious!!! Kids ordered wings and they said it was the best wings they ve had ! The server was delightful and kind and the atmosphere was very inviting! Def going back again!

Went to grab a bite to eat and listen to live music. Music was a young Kitchener musician, Jessie T. Full of energy and plays a variety of hits including her own. Food was excellent and the portions were large.

Looking at previous negative reviews, Im making it detailed to head off any snarky responses the owner will make. We reserved for a show Saturday night. We were a large group of 16, however the organizer made a reservation 1 month early, and asked for the dinning room. When most our group arrived on time at 6pm, we were then informed they had moved us to the show area to accommodate the size..... still we had to sit at separate tables (important for later). It was nearly 20 minutes before our first drink olders were taken... when they did arrive, the organizer had to catch the waitress again to take the orders from the final 4 people that arrived 5 min late. At 640, we then had to hunt for the waitress to order our food, which was done by 645 At 740, even the 4 of 16 that had ordered appetizers, hadnt received anything. The waitress said food was almost ready. At 8pm, still no food, so we found the manager.... The manager was not apologetic, instead offered several times to show us our food chits were put in at 7:01... however our food orders were completed at 645, despite arriving at 6... At 810 the apps came out, however my parter and mine was ice cold, and even then, some apps were missing. At 830, I finally received my meal... no apology, nothing. At this point the show was going. Still had not even been offered water. Later in the night I approached the manager saying how it wasnt a good experience. These are exact quotes: We accommodated your group by putting you in the performance area - it was a month old reservation for the dining room Our kitchen is small and the front was busy - yet again, a month old reservation we made FOR THE FRONT. The chits said 7:01pm - not our problem, why did it take 40 min for our orders? And another 20 to put them in. It could easily take an hour to get the food out for a group your size - I can agree with this... however it was over an hour after we ordered before we saw the 4 apps we ordered... not a valid excuse when we reserved a MONTH BEFORE FOR THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. We put you in the concert area so you could sit together - except we couldnt, we would have been fine at separate areas in the front. Our reservation was for the front... lame excuse. At no point were we apologized to without an excuse. My wife and I were not offered any solution, or even a free drink/comp our app. That being said, despite the tostasas cheese being colder than my fridge, the flavour was good, and my chicken and waffle was actually hot and had good flavour. My one cocktail the white dragon Margarita was excellent. The show and band were excellent. Thats the only reason for 2 stars. It is very unfortunate our experience was marred not only by poor service, but what I cannot describe by anything else but a complete lack of empathy a d even blaming of the customer by the manager.

Perfect spot! Will definitely be back but may want to extend my dinner so we can pop into the lounge afterwards!

Lowering my overall score after my second visit. Made reservations for 8 people for my daughters birthday. Service was good. Food was good. The problem? Was told before receiving the bill that with our large party an automatic 22% gratuity is added. It states this nowhere on the menu or on their website. Is a table of 8 really more work for the staff (on a not very busy Sunday) than say 4 tables of two .or two tables of 4?. I think not. Would have been nice to know this before ordering. We may have changed our minds and gone somewhere else

This venue has an amazing vibe with delicious food, fabulous staff and a fantastic live music room! It s a must visit if you ve never been.

We visit Erin about once a month and we make a point of making sure we get to the Busholme. Great place to meet locals and passerby s. The Busholme seems to always have events that get us there. Thank you, too, I believe it is Mike(manager), and his team for the great service and laughs. Good food, service and laughs.

Nice spot. Menu has a good variety. Nashville chicken is SPICY (more than most places I would say). Good beer selection

Had an amazing beef stroganoff for dinner. Only reason Service and Atmosphere were not rated higher is the place was packed on Fall Fair weekend. Host/server still did all they could to seat us. Any other weekend, I have no doubt these would be 5/5 as well. As an added bonus, a gentleman saved someone from choking with the Heimlich maneuver. So, amazing food, really good service, and a life saved. What more could you ask for?

This is just a good old Public House. No pretentious food, just good tasty food that fills your belly at a reasonable price. Staff is helpful and friendly (even on busy thanksgiving fair weekend!) Comfortable and not rushed. I would definitely go again when in the area

Had a late lunch with a good friend. Love the location and the history behind this older building circa 1800s . Jamie , our host/waiter was an absolute Dear,, very vibrant and bubbly and very pleasant to chat with. Made our experience very welcoming and had a couple of chuckles from his snse of humor. Every restaurant would be lucky to have a Jamie . Our food and Service was amazing. I had Fish and Frites and my friend had the Butter Chicken. Both dishes are recommended. I especially Loved Loved the frites( French fries). The best Ive eaten in 30 years. Will definitely be going back. Thanks

Our server - Jamie aka Ontario s Brad Pitt - created an amazing dining experience for us! The menu is varied, all three of our meals were hot, delicious and visual appealing . But Jamie s attention to detail, his service, and genuine desire to ensure we had an excellent experience sets Busholme above other restaurants. Jamie is a keeper!!

The staff were very friendly, but the food was subpar. We ordered salads with a protein. The salads were saturated with dressing. We couldn t eat them. My friend couldn t finish her chicken, which was rubbery. And 4 of 6 of us waited really long for our dinner while 2 of us were served. The apple crisp had no apples.. I ordered a tea. It never came. I will not be visiting again.

First time here. Had a great experience. Went on a Thursday night and they had live entertainment. Female singer was awsome. Food was delicious. Update....went back again on a Sunday night. Wasnt to busy. Sat on the patio and had the worst service Ive ever experienced. We were seated right away but then waited 30 min to even meet our waiter. Then he took our drink orders waited 15 min to get them . Then disappeared for another 30 min before taking our food order. Food came out pretty fast. But orders werent right. He then disappeared again for another 30 min. When we finally asked another waitress to get him so we could pay and leave. He then came back asked if we wanted the bill and took another 15 minutes to bring it out. Only to ask who was paying and that hed only give it to the best tipper ! Seriously!?!? Food was still good but service was garbage this time. Definitely changed my rating of this place.

Food was unreal, great music on queue. The patio was beautiful and dog friendly. Our server was Tori. Made the whole experience from 4 star to 5+++ !

Salmon served microwaved, looks like grilled in past and freezed and it was still frozen when served and chicken wings were smelling bad looks like re fried few times.

It s worth going just to have James serve you. His good energy and love for his job is obvious and genuine. Add amazing food (huge portions) and a great atmosphere and you ll have a fun and enjoyable dinner.

The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was really adorable. I had the Ahi appetizer and it wasnt quite seared well but the sauce was good. Probably should have had a burger or Buddha Bowl instead. Those looked more fresh and flavourful. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Amazing food!!!! Cant believe how good was it... first time there, was riding my motorcycle and decided to have lunch.. what a greay choice!!!! Soo delicious, tasty!!! For sure will go back when im on that area... besides the food, they also had live music on the patio... servers are polite and service good and fast!!! Food

We have come to the Busholme 3 times and every time we leave, we say we arent coming back. We go back because we hope itll be better. The food is great, the servers are friendly and doing their best. The kitchen seems to be the problem. It is so slow. If you go with your child (who likes to eat right away), check the menu before you go and order right away with whoever greets you. All 3 times we have gone, the kids meal has come after our apps and sometimes even after our mains. Unfortunately, with our recent visit my chicken was very under cooked. It was sent back and corrected but ruined the vibe of the meal. I will always recommend the food and the atmosphere, but make sure you pack your patience and be ready to wait.

Popular local spot. Food was good, not great. But Id go back again for the events and time with local friends. Nice outdoor patio. They have events like music bingo and open mic nights for musicians. (Note: The events dont run in the hot summer months because that big room isnt air conditioned). In the cooler weather, when the events are running, watch their calendar because they change up the events regularly.

The food is amazing, the service was perfect, and the staff were all wonderful - always smiling, friendly, and efficient even when things appear to be overwhelmingly busy. We came for a live music event and decided to have dinner ahead of time. Everything from the friendly greetings to the amazing band was perfect. The restaurant atmosphere was wonderful, I love the history of the building, and the event space (which I didnt even know existed) is such a cool environment that you simply must experience. Thank you for a wonderful experience through and through.

Friendly place with a quick service. Sandwich needs more sauce.

Everything else was fine except they served me RAW tempeh. Anything with tempeh on the menu is served cold and raw? This is not how it should be served - Tempeh is supposed to be cooked! When I asked them if they would cook or heat it up they said no? They clearly don t know much about vegetarian dishes, cause the uncooked protein tasted cold and gross and was a complete waste of my money. Otherwise, the place was fine! (Edit - this was a while ago, glad to hear they took these dishes off the menu.)

It s ok. Food is overpriced and the area that houses bands has very poor ventilation. Wear your helmet if you need to use the ladies bathroom, you will bump your head.

It is a beautiful establishment with a cozy olden day vibe. The menu is accommodating to every dietary need. I highly recommend the vegetarian tostadas. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive.

Love the owners Mike and Nicole! They know what they re doing here- and you will always see them here working super hard. Great attentive staff. Went to a show last night and had just a fantastic time! Great sound and lighting. Sold out show. Great fun atmosphere- will be retuning for more shows in the future ! (Also had dinner and the ceaser salad was literally the best I ve ever had in my life. No bottle dressing here tastes super authentic! Plenty of bacon and croutons. An experience in itself- definitely recommend trying it!)

Went there for an afternoon drink and lunch. Worst slowest service ever. Had to ask twice for water. Did not bother to eat there. First and last time ever going there. 4 servers walking around.

This is a lovely place. We popped in one day on a whim while on a bike ride. We enjoyed a couple of appetizers and a couple of drinks. We were a little shocked by the price of a lunch, to be honest, but we didnt really check the prices before heading in. The staff was lovely and the food was enjoyable.

We randomly found this place on a Saturday afternoon. The ambiance is very retro and warm and the appetizers were so enjoyable. The steak was so tender and the soup of the day was also lovely. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and calamari for appetizer which were great. The only dish that was a mediocre was the Earth Bowl which was dry and didn t have much of a dressing. Parking: On site free parking Kid-friendliness: The kids menu had 6 options and my kids LOVEd the chicken tenders

Had a chance to sit out on their patio today. It was terrific. Erin is so charming. We were actually served by the owner and she was a wonderful young lady. The food was great. I loved my fish tacos and the tuna tataki. My kids had onion rings and I have to say that they were best onion rings that we have ever had. I highly recommend this place.

We were out visiting the art gallery in Alton Mills when on the way home we decided to stop ar Busholme for a bite to eat. The old jouse is an incredible setting and the wait staff were fantastic but the food was Ok, not great. The chicken wings were a tad underdone and the fries were cold, through the poutine gravy was very hot so melted the cheese. We wished the calamari had been ordered. Overall we will go back!

My husband and I were there recently. Our server, Steve, was great. My husband s lunch choice was good. My stir fry was ridiculous. It should be called fried rice. There was barely any chicken or vegetables. Extremely disappointing.

We ate in the veranda that wraps the front of the building. The food classic Canadian and cooked perfectly. We where surrounded by bushes so no street noise. Very Very nice

The food and service were great. Would go again. Only issue was we ate outside and it was super sunny while there are umbrellas they dont tend to cover enough in most tables thankfully we were let to choose our own table. Additionally every smoker seemed to smoke by the same tree nearby and you could smell it from.thw tables.

If you havent been to the Busholm yet, its a dinner theatre/restaurant much like the old Hughs Room Live in Toronto. The theatre side seats about 125 and theres not a bad seat! Sound and lighting was perfect! We saw Spencer Mackenzie and Colin Linden. Spectacular show! Food was really good, service was great and all staff were super friendly and happy! We look forward to more visits to the Busholm!

Great small-town resto-pub in a historic building on Main St. Interesting mix of standard pub fare with international cuisines, craft brews and signature cocktails. Hard to imagine anyone not enjoying this place.

Love this place.

Its more a reflection of our society, but we went there 2 hours after a rain storm. We sat on the patio. I sat on a stool that was filled with water. It never occurred to the staff to tip all the chairs and drain the water.

Good place. Tasty food and a decent padio. We were tucked in a back corner, (which we asked for!) but I think we may have been forgotten about a little bit as we had a long wait for them to take drinks, take order, and we had to go find someone to get the bill. Food was tasty, server was pleasant, was a decent experience, just nothing exceptional. There was a cool band just starting up though, so that was neat and if we had stayed longer Im sure we would have enjoyed it as it was outside and not super loud.

Great patio, nice menu. Highly recommend if youre passing through Erin.

Their carrot soup was delicious. My only complaint was 4 children running around talking loudly and disturbing the atmosphere. Made it difficult to hear my friend.

We were here on the Canada Day. We hit the spot after a short hike and were craving for something cold! I had the mule and fish tacos and they were delicious! Would love to come back and literally eat the same thing again.

The most disgusting wings I ever had.The skin on each wing was slimy. The server was a very nice overworked young man. 3rd visit here over last 2 years. 0 for 3. I will not be back.

Absolutely loved my time here, the service is great and attentive. The food tasted so good and drinks were fire.

We ve eaten here a couple of times before concerts in the back room. The food is good, typical, pub-style offerings. The Mac and cheese was frankly stellar . Not a fan of high-top tables, but that s mostly what they have.

I visited the Busholme last weekend and it was one of the most incredible places I have visited. Everyone was super friendly and treated you as if theyve known you for years. I tried their jerk chicken tacos: they were mouth-wateringly divine and seemed farm-fresh. The space is very cozy and intimate. I highly recommend this place to everyone and Ill definitely be back soon.

This is a gem of a pub/restaurant. The ambiance is warm, welcoming and lovely. The serving staff were great. The food was good. I had the fish and chips which were great. The coleslaw was a little strange; it was more like just plain cabbage. I couldnt discern a vinegrette or a creamy dressing, so lacking in flavor. But other than that, a positive experience. Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian wrap with Feta. It was tasty.

Havent been here for quite a few years. Was pleasantly surprised at the changes and the quality of the food is excellent. Delicious and satisfying ample servings helps to balance out the cost of dining out these days. The near decadent macncheese is one of the best Ive had. Will definitely go back there for our next lunch outing!!

Have been here a couple of times for lunch/dinner with friends. Both times I have ordered the Busholme Burger with Bacon and Cheddar with a side of french fries. The burger is excellent. Fresh, homemade burger patty with amazingly fresh and delicious toppings. Burger was slightly overcooked this time, making it a little bit more dry than I would like, but not to the point of making me unhappy with it. Fries were perfectly done. The service was great, our server was perfectly attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is nice. Much like an old pub setting. Certainly a great place to stop in for a good meal if you are in the area.
