Italian Hot-table
Always fresh, good, daily cooked food. Modest place with lots of heart!
I really wanted to like this place. But have to say I was pretty disappointed with the veal sandwich. 1 very thin piece of veal hanging on for dear life in a sea or bread. The ratio was totally off. Meatball sandwich had a good meat to bread ratio. But average flavor at best. Lasagna was decent though. Service was great and they had lots of other offerings that looked promising. Maybe I'll give a few other dishes a chance.
$16 for a veal sandwich and a drink. Bread was stale and the veal wasn't even warm. The food isn't what it used to be. Save your money and eat somewhere else.
The deli counter lady was pleasant. The cashier/barrista was quite unpleasant. She acted like I was an inconvenience to her just because I was there paying for my sandwich and ordering a coffee. I was very pleasant and in response was treated with unpleasantness. This person clearly doesn't like her job. That was my last visit to this establishment.
Wonderful staff and regulars that like to sit around and shoot the breeze . I had a wonderful ravioli and mocha coffee after I explained how to make one . It was good . Finished with a nice little bottle of bitters . Good times .
My absolute favorite little place ! The veggie rice sticks are always soo good! The pasta is delicious as well! They have bread and sauces they sell too! I have been coming here for years, and the food is always 10/10.
I ordered before I saw the prices and for $14 I got a sausage and some pasta that they microwaved to heat up. That is so ridiculous no cheese even put on it total rip off not sure who they think they are to charge that
Love this local hidden gem that serves up delicious Italian delights! I recommend their hot table as they offer everything from gnocchi to veal parmesan. I especially love their sautéed cabbage and other veggies. I'll be back!
If youre looking for homemade food, this is your place. I would recommend you to try any dish you wont be disappointed .
Wonderful fresh Italian food everytime. Staple of Wincott!
Very Italian, amazing food, great atmosphere, however the owner is extremely disrespectful. Makes me feel like I am not welcomed there.
Nice friendly local eatery. Great food.
Friendly staff and good food
Amazing food
This restaurant is extremely overpriced You will pay a lot just to eat pasta. The portion is very small and most of it is macaroni or pasta no bread or salad. You will still be hungry after eating If you want more stuff everything is extra.
Great food as always!
Had the lasagna and sausage. Both were tasty, not to mention the staff is very nice.
Terribile service, especially from the miserable person behind the food counter.. Puts my plate in the microwave without asking me first and then tries to tell me I should have told her before as if that s standard practice. Then she gives me less food 2nd time. If i wanted to be treated like I m in jail I ll go catch a charge. 14 dollars for 1 meat 1 pasta dish 3 dollars for a pop.
Best Italian food..
Rude and arrogant. Not service oriented.
Went in to bakery with my friend and made sure we adhered to Covid regulations. There was only one customer ahead of us & the owner told us to step back which we did but honestly, she was so miserable, my friend just said to her nicely: smile. In response she screamed at us to get out, pointing to the door. This woman should be a prison warden (but even prisoners should expect a bit of respect) and not in a business dealing with customers. We will be sure to let all our friends know to avoid this business if they dont want their heads bitten off! Would have given a negative star if I could.
Amazing Amazing. Greatest Italian food in Toronto, great kind Staff. Fresh food. Im not Italian but it is the best Italian food Ive ever eaten, better than any Italian restaurant I ate in Italy
Wow!!! Just ordered take out from here. Combo #2 came with a chicken cutlet, choice of pasta, choice of vegetable. Also ordered a meat Lasagna. Everything tasted good and very Homemade can tell from the taste and i love that recipe. Definitely my new place to get my pasta or lasagna cravings. Very impressed A+++
I have no complaints with their chicken and veal sandwiches. However i was really upset to see my $7 rice ball go in a MICROWAVE!!! REALLY? Like i said their sandwiches are the best but thats it. They should try adding spices and garlic and basil to the tomatoe sauce. Its literally just tomato sauce sorry not sauce but tomatoes pureed heated up. Dont use a microwave come on have pride in your food.
The food here is always great and only made better because the friendly staff.
Great local Bakery. My son is a Veal Favor taster aficionado and he says they serve up one of the best veals. Whats more amazing is they are in the neighborhood.
I have tried so many times to find something good about this bakery but today sealed the deal. The stuffed pepper I ordered was bland and smelled really weird. I asked for tomato sauce and cheese on top - the sauce was so watery it fell to the bottom of the dish. Then it was microwaved. I lost my appetite.
Great food and service!
Nothing special. Had a veal and it was bland, bun was old. Cashier looks miserable. Not tempted to go back.
Always fresh & satisfying. I dont live in the area, so its a treat to drop in when Im in the neighborhood.
Food is homemade and most of the people are lovely customer service of one particular woman is atrocious. The absolute sass when requesting non-dairy milk (as though it was the biggest annoyance). It goes a long way to say Unfortunately we don t have that vs. No. No. No, when asking for various milk types. If it s that big of an issue make a sign and stick it up. Prices also seem aggressive. $8 for 1 meatball?
Amazing food and coffee, friendly people :)
Hands down best Italian hot table in the city. Staff and food are top notch
The best lasagna around. Amazing! Their sauce is the best too. Its more of a hot table spot instead of a bakery. This is a super popular lunch and dinner spot w the central Etobicoke locals. This place has been around forever and ever and is still a favourite spot to get lasagna, veal on a bun, rice balls, rice sticks, gnocchi, and rapini. Recommend this small cozy not fancy eat in or take out spot that is so popular w the locals.
This unassuming bakery serves up some beautiful food. Their vegetarian (spinach and ricotta) pasta is wonderful, as is their gnocchi. Also excellent: home-made tomato sauce preserved in mason jars; home-made bread crumbs. These latter ingredients are great to incorporate into your own baking. Wonderful, traditional Italian-Canadian flavours.
Good place
BEST ITALIAN FOOD AROUND!!!! The staff is so kind and welcoming. The pasta is to die for! Their rice balls are a must try
Friendly staff, esp. behind the cooked/hot food counter. Good advice from them on what made up the combos, etc. And the checkout person saw that I had a few loose items from shopping elsewhere, so asked me if I would like a bag for them. Very pleased!
Great Italian menu, casual eatery, reasonably priced and good portions. Only take available now during covid.
worst attitude from the employees, customers are stuck up. this place needs a revamping of people bc its pathetic!!! food is meh as well
Richview Bakery catered a family event. Gina was my contact and she was extremely helpful. She helped me fine tune my order to include food options and portions everyone enjoyed. There was just enough leftovers for guests to take home with them. The price point was perfect also. She worked with my budget. If you re thinking of ordering from them, do it. The place also doubles as a sit-in restaurant.
Very nice place with kind people
Yum, yum and yum! I have been going there for about five years. The same person has served me and the food is great, well priced and homemade! One of my fav Italian hotplates - thank you Richview Bakery Team!
Overall food is terrific cant go wrong here highly recommend come and try it. Staff friendly two thumbs up
The parmigiana chicken and tender and very tasty. Very friendly environment, like Italy.
Excellent food, great variety. best pasta sauce u can buy.
The workers at this location are very nice and friendly and the food is good as well would recommended
I love chicken hunter
Delicious pasta sauce!
I love this plece
Fast service, home made ingredients, delicious. Veal sandwich was generously proportioned and so was the cabbage role
The food is awesome. Mangia
Seems nice at first. Healthy, plain homemade type food, but small portions. Got italian chicken sandwitch and all could taste is a lot of bread and tiny thin piece of chicken in between. Got rice, veg and chicken dish another time and again, chicken is so thin. Veal i ordered another day was very chewy. Coffee needs expresso shot added to make it taste like good coffee. I went there for couple weeks for work lunch, but will not be coming back again.
When arriving to my job site with my pasta dish, I realized I have no cutlery. When I called and asked why... I was rudely told that it s my responsibility to grab my own cutlery and that they re too busy to put cutlery in the bag for me. I was the only person in the bakery. Never eat there again. Many other better bakery s.
The best Italian food, always fresh and very friendly people I recommend trying the chicken sandwich I assure you that you won t be disappointed
Love the food there
No pizza anymore. Overall a nice bakery.
Great little spot. All home made cooking at a good price.
I have been going here for over 10 years. It is and always has been a great gem with friendly staff and a mean vegetarian pasta sauce. For lunch they have food for just about anybodys appetite. You can expect 4 different types of pasta, pizza, meatballs, veal, cold cuts, tripe, stuffed peppers, chicken and sausages just to name a few dishes. The highschool kids usually clear out just after 12:15, but before that can be quite busy. I recommend this to everyone and look forward to the next time at Richview Bakery.
Come here weekly for the home made italian food.
Very good
Amazing Food!!! Very Nice Staff!!
small, cozy but dont go during school days between 12-1 pm. Youll be lining up behind the students that floods this place with nice hot table food, and good coffee
Food is good but prices way to high and the lady that serves the food she always put very small portion when it comes to veggies, salad and chicken. All the time you have to remind her to get a good size piece of chicken for the sandwich otherwise she picks a small piece and for people who she knows, she gives them bigger portion, which is not fair to the other s Jim
Great place to eat and have a coffee great service and friendly staff.
Its by FAR HANDS DOWN the Very Very BEST BEST place in Etobicoke that I know of Thank u Gina
Their lasagna is the greatest Ive ever had and would definitely recommend!
Excellent food fair prices friendly service.
Great place for whole family!!italian home style food, delicious
Old white lady with bleached blonde hair kicked my friend and I out of their outside seating for having outside food with us, even though we had purchased something from their restaurant and wanted to eat it there. Worst treatment of customers Ive ever experienced
Nice atmosphere and good tasting food.
The hot tables just like you Nona cooked for you
This place was a great find in my neighborhood. I tried 6 different dishes and all tasted delicious. I will definitely go back there again and will try eggplant chicken perm.
Great little Italian bakery. Not many in Etobicoke. Lasanga and Veal Combo was great
Always great home cooked meals
Good food, but I feel like theyve made some changes for the worse. Their beef stew used to be spicy and now its not. The chicken sandwiches used to be a bigger portion, now it barely fills me up. But overall the quality of the food is still good which earns my 4 stars.
Just had a coffee and butter tart. It was a nice little place
Great hot food section ready to go
Espresso is great!
I know good food - this place had it. However, how it was served was very questionable. First off it didnt seem like they were using their hot holding system at all - just had the items in it. The sauce they used was from a commercial cheese pail that they had hot and was just sitting in a bucket warm. They had fresh peppers but on the counter in a bowl. To me they were heating things up and waiting to replenish rather than keeping it all hot. The veal sandwich I had was not very hot, the meat or the sauce. Bread was very fresh and the sauce with as very good. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but it was dinner time ? Hoping to try again.
The quality of the food is good, but overpriced. Also, they have a few combo options, I tried substituting the veggies for beef stew instead and told them I will pay more for it, just tell me how much more and Im ok with it, and they still said no. I would have to buy the beef stew seperate. Kinda bizzare, but 3 stars because the quality of everything is good.
Love this place used to visit weekly since moving out of town not as frequent whenever Im in the area I have to stop in for there great home cooked meals I wish they had a location close to innisfil and cant say enough about the staff lovely people
Great Italian hot table with a wonderful variety of meals!
Best Italian bakery and food on Eglinton.
Very cozy place to eat good Italian food and enjoy an expresso coffee. Decent prices and variety. Quiet place in a nice neighborhood
The food is homemade Italian food, always delicious. Lots of choices...the veal is the best I have ever had. Italian salad is also so fresh and tasty. You can take out or sit in.
Excellent hot table and great for home made style cuisine
Love the hot table menu here.. the lady serving the food is really nice!
This bakery has great food! Its more of a hot table than a bakery but the do has some tasty baked goods as well.
Good homemade food. Friendly. Its a place you want to go back to when there.
Hot table was so hot that the girl microwaved my meal for a minute and it was lukewarm.. meatball was delicious nonetheless. The pasta and veggies were not anything special..
Great food old school traditional Italian and bakery
The bread and salad here are my favorite.
Great spot for lunch..
Amazing. Come here on almost all our visits to Toronto. Nonna style Italian bakery. Lasagna is the best I have ever had for sure.
great hot table for lunch in a hurry
It was ok very bland and not a good atmosphere unless you are a regular
Loving this place. Great Italian food. Also catering. I would suggest to try and not too expensive. Very affordable
All so tasty and delicious, you could forgotten about cooking at home....
Mediocre veal sandwiches. I like the rice balls, I wouldnt call it a hidden gem, pretty run of the mill.
Great homemade Italian food at a decent price
unique gem hidden in a strip mall. Hot, homemade food like stuffed peppers, lasagna, pasta, pasteries, .... and the price was the same as a slice of pizza. lots of vegetarian options as well as meat options. very friendly staff.
