Casual, modern restaurant & bar serving eclectic fare & artisanal cocktails at the Westin.
Wow, dinner was amazing! Salmon halibut chicken supreme! Service was impeccable! Thank you for a wonderful meal!
Service was great, the server was very attentive and patient. I ordered a sangria which tasted off, and the server noticed the face I made and changed it our for a mojito, which was much better. The scallops were delicious, but the pizza was burnt and very oily. It was bland and missing flavor. As expected from an airport hotel restaurant it was pretty expensive for what was offered.
That was a terrible dining experience. The chicken was very dry. And the filling inside is so unpalatable that it's hard to swallow. And the noodles, don't try. The soup tastes very bland, and the noodles lack elasticity, maybeovercooked. Last, the waiter, come on! I paid with credit card and he select 20% tips without my permission. He even not asked. That's terrible. I will never, ever try to enjoy a meal in this place. It feels like a punishment from god.
Had the Bison Burger summer special. Bland and under-seasoned. Service was poor. Plopped the burger in front of me, no follow up if it was to my liking, if I would like any condiments... nothing. Price point was very high. $40 for the burger and one draft beer. I won't be back.
We had the best service here. The buffet was incredible! Our waitress was so kind and courteous and made sure we enjoyed our meal. Which we did!! It's a beautiful restaurant with a cool staircase right in the middle of it and the hotel.
We visited Crosswinds Restaurant and Bar coffee and desserts at Westin Toronto. Thank you Jose and Joy for the wonderful experience. Great service and hospitality. We will be back soon.
I dined at the Crosswinds Bar and Grill several times during my week-long stay at the Westin. First and foremost, the staff is so nice, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the curry shrimp and vegetables and it was delicious - I loved that the shrimp was tender and full of flavor. The drinks were strong which is how I like them! My friend and I loved dining and drinking here, especially since it was right downstairs. It was a great alternative when we didn’t feel like going out to eat after venturing around the city all day.
It wasn't busy, and service was fast and friendly. However, if you order the Steak Fritt, beware! Do you know what "Cali Cut" means? In reality, it means HALF! I thought I ordered a Strip Loin with Fries, but ended up with a teeny, weenie piece of steak! I questioned this with Management, and they threw the waitress under the bus. Said I should have been informed that it was only 6 oz (not sure it was even that!). I've beem a server, and was NEVER instructed to downplay / defend the menu. Management is responsible for making it clear, not the servers.
Great food, beautiful space and good service!
Such great service from the bar staff joy, love jot, jose very friendly and accommodating!
Prices are what you d expect for an upscale hotel bar. Service is friendly and inviting. Definitely a classier bar.
Nice people n nice atmosphere.
Really good food,. The service was wonderful, thank you.
Bar staff were awesome! Super friendly and attentive.
Food is good and decent beer selection. Nice spot for a hotel restaurant/bar.
Pretty good place to eat. The burger was good but the pork chop dinner was extremely good. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall a nice experience.
Excellent service. Very friendly. Thank you.
Great place to hang out inside the Westin Toronto Airport Hotel
Its a hotel lobby bar. It has that feel to it. But it has a nice decor and comfy chairs. Ample seating. And a good menu selection whether youre famished or just have the munchies. The service at these hotels is always very good. On par. I appreciate its open late as not all travellers arrive during meal time. It was just a ride down the elevator to get a glass of wine and a snack. Its convenient. And it wasnt loud or too busy. Perfect for the busy traveller who just wants to chill for a minute.
Can t explain how happy we were with their service, best example of them loving their job. Food was delicious definitely coming back recommend.
Food was decent but some of the worst service I have ever had. Orders missed, long waits for food. Saw other diners frustrated as well. Too bad because the food was good.
Very disappointed when u cant have caffeine and there is no decaf coffee not impressed
Excellent squash soup. Service was very slow. Food
All 3 of us had the burger. I had w egg and truffle salt on the fries. It was great!!! Absolute A+++ burger!!!
Very kindly Service
Not fancy but for an air strip hotel restaurant the food was outstanding and service was great. Had the tuna, grilled perfectly, purple cabbage coleslaw with wasabi mayo Small but nice wine selection.
Crosswinds Restaurant and Bar conveniently located the Westin hotel by the YYZ airport. Friendly bar service by professional bartenders including Tony who has been here for 31 years. There is an ebb and flow in terms of busyness but a good place for a late night cocktail. Recommended.
Not 24hrs even though it is advertised on here as such. Change your hours
Super disappointed here. Had dinner as we got in around 8pm and fly out in the morning. Nachos and tacos took almost an hour. Guests we were with had salad and tacos and a burger. Food was cold and the taco shells disintegrated as they had been sitting for so long in the back. Burger was under cooked and fries were cold. No blueberry flavor on the blueberry kale salad and the chicken was flavorless. Paying 70 bucks each was very disappointed overall and would never eat here again.
Comfortable and quiet, the food is very delicious and excellent
Wheelchair accessibility: This hotel caters to wheelchair clientele!
Yes I love him yes yes yes
Great staff, great atmosphere, bit pricey but the food was good.
The hotel is fancy, but the hotel staff dont seem like are used to providing high quality service. The staff seemed very bored, unprofessional, and uncaring. Not a good experience with all the hotel staff
Good food and drinks
Filled with angry people whose flights have been canceled paying for over priced food with free coupons. The staff here are veterans of a never ending war and have seen horrors beyond imagining.
Wonderful staff. Fast service.
Im writing this review while Im sitting in the restaurant. There are currently only 9 people in the restaurant and Ive been waiting for 20+ minutes for the server to even come by my table to take my drink order. Meanwhile, 3 tables have been sat since I arrived, and they have had their drink orders taken and delivered. Its not like the server has forgotten me or doesnt know that Im here - hes walked by me several times (two in the time Ive been writing this review) There are two staff working. so its not a shortage of staff. This is the absolute worst service and if I could give zero stars, I would.
Jose was great. Food was good.
Winterlicious menu was great! Staff very good as well. We ll come back for sure
Stopped for a coffee with a guest of the hotel so I cant really say much. Service was ok.
Great
Food was Amazing!! Staff very friendly
Salmon wasn t fresh, was slimy and didn t smell right. Told waitress, didn t offer to switch dish or remake, instead just gave me my bill. Won t be going back for sure!
I have always had a good experience here. It is a great spot when you are picking up someone at the airport or waiting for your own flight. Tony has worked there for 27 years and his long service there adds to the feeling of welcome and continuity. My Caesar salad was fresh, crisp and perfectly dressed with big chunks of Parmesan. My pint of Stella pulled perfectly!
Absolutely the most professional and friendly staff and our meal was amazing.
Good food. Nice ambiance.
Worst Summerlicious lunch ever! A couple of friends and I had lunch yesterday at Crosswinds, lured in by their delicious-sounding Summerlicious menu. It was the worst experience of Summerlicious 2018, in all of our opinions. Lunch took TWO HOURS, the service was so slow. The appetizers (grilled octopus seafood salad with fennel, etc, and grilled watermelon salad) were middling at best, and took 30 minutes to arrive after we had placed our order. The main course was a disaster. Two of us ordered the seafood pot au feu with ricotta ravioli, which was tasty enough, although bland. My other friend ordered the flatiron steak, which arrived stone cold. When she complained, we were assured the chef could put another plate together for her, but the maître dhôtel brought the original plate of food back to our table, 10 minutes later, and argued with us about how it had not been microwaved, but reheated in a special oven, as if that would make it any better! Horrible and arrogant! Any decent chef would know such a procedure of re-heating would ruin any steak. The maître dhôtel stated it was too busy (there were 7 other tables of guests eating lunch) for the chef to make a proper flatiron from scratch, and have it arrive piping hot. None of us were impressed. The dessert (a very tangy-less key lime tart in a chocolate-coconut crust, vanilla ice cream with 4 slices of peaches drowned in brandy, and a trio of sorbets) was the best part of the lunch. The grapefruit sorbet redeemed the steak disaster for my friend, but this was a horrible experience. Oh, and, btw, the dessert arrived 20 minutes after our entrees because, and I quote, The sorbets were taking a bit longer than anticipated to serve because they had been sitting in the deep freeze too long. Tant pis. This place is a disaster. Please do not waste your time or money here.
