Chicken balls, chow mein & shrimp fried rice are on offer for takeout at this simple outpost.
The general tso chicken came with basically all vegetables only maybe 1/3 is chicken on the very top. This is kind of unacceptable. Food tasted okay.
Ordered the Kung Po chicken combo. Very flavourful and good portion. Owner was very helpful and even gave me a recommendation for a place to find the type of fried rice we were speaking about. Will definitely go back to try some of the other dishes.
I recently ordered Chinese takeout and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Initially, I was hesitant after reading mixed reviews, but I decided to give it a try. The food exceeded my expectations, with generous portions and well-cooked ingredients. The flavours were rich and enjoyable, especially the sweet and sour chicken and the fried rice. However, I did find the dishes a bit on the salty side. While it didn’t completely overpower the meal, a little less salt would make the flavours even better. Overall, a satisfying experience, and I’d consider ordering again.
Always fresh, always delicious, always generous! My go to local Chinese restaurant.
Whoever is giving this restaurant a low rating doesn’t know what they’re doing. This is by far my favourite Chinese restaurant. I have eaten all kinds and I’m quite the connoisseur of Chinese food. This place makes incredible crispy beef, sweet-and-sour pork and shrimp pork fried rice… The General Tao chicken is also very good but not the best. But it is excellent if you ask for extra sauce like I always do. I have been ordering from here regularly on Uber eats. I’m very happy I know about this place. It’s fast, convenient and good quality with good prices. The 3.6 overall rating is not an accurate depiction of this restaurant in my honest opinion.
I typically order here because their food is usually good. This will be the last time I order food from there. I ordered General Tao Chicken, which was hard and tasted like it was just dough. It was so dry as if they forgot the sauce. The Shanghai noodles were absolutely disgusting. The pork and the shrimp inside it was just awful. The noodles were over cooked and tasted like it was just left over. I also ordered the crispy beef, which again was hard. Even the spring roll just tasted like it was full of mush. I don’t know if they changed chefs or what but I 100% do not recommend if you want to eat tasty Chinese food.
Good portions of vegetables as seen in the picture, however the food was bland. I expected more flavour for $14 each vegetable dishes. The staff were very friendly and polite. There is convenient but very limited parking directly in front of the restaurant. Limited seating inside.
The food was decent at this place. We ordered the plate 1 and the sweet and sour spare ribs. This was filling for two people which is really good. But the sweet and sour pork is mostly bones not much meat. The lemon chicken was amazing and we loved it so much. The fried rice was really nice and the chow mein was okay - we have had better in other places. All in all, I would recommend this place to others.
Noodles totally hard uncooked. We also said no vegetables and they instead put extra vegetables.
Ordered from skip the dishes. Food was absolutely brutal. The shrimp fried rice was okay. But the stir fried chicken dish really didnt have any taste to it. And the Szechuan noodles were probably the grossest noodles Ive ever had in my life. They were just sweet and sour noodles like they emptied a jar on them.
The Worst Customer Service ever, I absolutely do not recommend.
Excellent food and huge quantities. Hot and sour soup is the best
You just lost a customer tonight. I specifically asked for the rice in my order to be replaced with bean sprouts and I would pay extra. You have done so before. Tonight when I called I was treated like an afterthought and if my business is not valued then I can take my money elsewhere. Thank you
Very nice people, attentive, and willing to make adjustments for dietary preferences. They remember my order everytime and it is always done quickly. Vegetarian options: They have many vegetables and noodle options for vegetarians and can adjust their dishes to accommodate vegans as well. Parking: Parking is available in front of the restaurant and along the street.
I placed an order on uber eats and called to say to put soya sauce and hot sauces in the bag.The guy answers well try our best ...I mean what kind of answer is that and what kind of service is that......pretty shitty....The location at kippling and dixon are so much nicer and better service when you call.....if you want amazing Chinese food with amazing customer service and satisfaction order from gourmet express kippling and dixon....wont be ordering from here no more.....
Excellent. Great food, great price and excellent portions! And when you ask for extra sauce, you get more than 2!!!! The combo for one deals are the best IMO
one of worst fried rice and curry chicken i ever tasted
This is our go to spot for late night munchies. Its a take out only spot with no dine in option. Their spicy lemon seafood soup does the trick when you have a cold. Their fried rice, Hunan beef, crispy beef, general Tsos chicken, beef with broccoli are all consistently good. Theyre quick and efficient with orders.
Good price, Good Portions, Good People, Good Food.
We spent 40 dollars for the food, The owner can t even supply a bag for the takeout. His recommendation was to buy a pop for the bag, that doesn t make any sense. We insisted on paying for the bag But that guy is so stubborn and foolish
Pretty tasty food and great prices. A good variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes The tofu dish was a bit bland but the others I ve had have been great. Vegetarian options: There s a whole veggie delight section with a variety of vegetable dishes.
Very good, Lots of deliveries, lots of customers!!
Been ordering from here for over 10 years by now, while they were still at their old location. I would say this is a food outlet with the most consistency in quality, portion size and dish contents you can get. Fried rice of all kinds, Shanghai Noodles, Cantonese Chow Mein, Tai Dop Woi are some of my favourites. I love that vegetables are always crispy and not overcooked. Some people have an issue with not enough flavour, however, having eaten Chinese food in China, Id tell you not all of us are ready for the authentic taste. Got a minor issue with my order today, however still would recommend this place as this is the first time there was an issue with my order in 10 years.
Delicious food. I dont understand why people give negative reviews. I loved the food!! This plaace should be rated 5 starrsssss
Possibly the worst Chinese takeout ever. Avoid like the plague.
Not bad. 7/10. Good value. Pretty good white-people Chinese food. Good portions. Mostly noodle/rice though. I would prefer smaller portions and more vegetables at least.
It s a nice restaurant. They serve good food, reasonable price and excellent portions .
Best chinese food i have been going to this place for the longest time and I will tell anyone about this place. All my friend and family I told about the food.
Very bland & tasteless, shouldve listened to the reviews
Definitely coming back
Ordered from here a few times. Its not the best Chinese food around, but good if youre in the local area. Prices are fair and service is usually quick.
Its hot but absolutely trash
Get the crispy ginger beef
Great portions and made it as I requested
Fast service and good food!
food tastes old , rice are dry , didn t like at all .
This would be a chop Suey dish !!! It is really chopped; Barely any chicken and a whole bunch of sprouts with some Water, MSG, and cornstarch Mixture.
We normally love Chinese Food Gallery but this time we had to throw out the crispy spring rolls after one bite. Something was off. The singapore vermicelli was way too spicy. Our fave....the crispy ginger beef was fantastic, as usual. We hope our next order harkens back to the usual style.
Haven t come across a better spot for Chinese food takeout in the GTA. Consistently good!
Placed an order. Took 2 and a half hours to get the food to our door. Poor customer service while handling the delay.
Bad very bad customer service , she was rude and bad she didn t know what she was saying or what she wanted . Don t go at this place at all .
Chinese Food Gallery is your typical Chinese food restaurant when you want big portions at a good price. I ordered the number 2 special that came with brown rice, chicken chow mien, and chicken balls. I enjoyed the meal as much as I could eat of it and would definitely come back if the craving for Chinese food comes back. The service was fast and friendly; I didnt have to wait more than 10 minutes to get my food. There is little to no atmosphere, but in a restaurant like this, the atmosphere is not what youre looking for. It gets the job done.
Very dissatisfied with the wontons. I was expecting some sort of filling however I received just plain fried thin wrappers. I called the resturant and they advised that this is standard practice for wontons. Also ordered the beef and veggie combo for 1. I may ad well just have ordered beef and veggies. It only came with 3 pieces of thin beef. Hands down the worst chinese food Ive ever had. Id prefer Manchu wok over this. Save your money and go elsewhere!!!
General Tao over fried rice never go wrong
I found the food to be overpriced. The chicken balls had the smallest piece of chicken ever, the General Tao had more vegetables than chicken, the wonton had even smaller piece of meat, and spaghetti in it. Everything was full of cheap fillers. For us we will No order again from this restaurant
I ordered the sweet and sour chicken balls and I noticed about half way through my meal that the chicken balls were undercooked. I ended up getting very sick with food poisoning. Don t recommend coming here.
For the last 5/6 years I think Im there #1 customer. Just please continue to COOK with LOVE and PASSION because im convinced when you do, you are the best in the city :P Youre the best. Singapore noodles are my favourite and you cook those noodles with FLAVOUR!!!! (only thing I wish there was an option for spice level.... I like mine spicy/extra spicy) but thank god for the flavour it comes in anyways..
Excellent service - brisk and professional The atmosphere is okay - no dining in but theres a high table you can stand at with your foot up while you wait The food, though: the food! The dinner for one - spring roll with crispy shell, not a drop of greasiness anywhere. The fried rice is flavourful. The real star is the beef with vegetables. The typical beef with vegetables is small bits of beef with green peppers and onions. Chinese food gallerys version is large chunks of tender beef with luscious, juicy pieces of zucchini, red pepper, pak choy, onion, and baby carrot all done to tender-crisp perfection! So good!
Make this your last option, last resort. Do not recommend. Jumbo battered prawns: Yes its jumbo because of the the thick fat layer of the flour batter. The mix fried rice and the noodle was alright but expected more mearlt in those. The vegetable chop Suey is technically bean sprouts in water. No never order it!! General Tsos chicken. More vegs than chicken. Like 3:1 . I would say mall food is better than this.
I always get delivery so I dont know what the restaurant looks like inside.
Disappointed with the sauce quantity in each dish. Food should not be soaking in sauce. We ordered chicken in black bean sauce and container was filled to the top with sauce. Szechwan vegetables tasted like catchup and same with Kung Po Chicken.
I ordered on DoorDash. I Got beef lo mein and the sauce was all jelly and disgusting. The spring roll had a cow stench and tasted mushy. 10/10 DONT recommend. Had 3 bites and now my stomache is grumbling like crazy
Definitely my go to place for dinner! Good food and generous portions! Thanks for the great service!
Disgusting food don t order!!!!!!! This is my first time ever writing a review usually I ll just let it slide but I have to write one! I ordered from here last night thinking this was going to be some good food I got the shrimp fried rice with chicken wings and vegetables thinking there is no way to mess up on that but I knew better because this place had horrible reviews but nothing else was open last night so I decided to give it a shoot . as soon as I saw it and tried it first the chicken wings looked huge and smelt horrible the vegetables were so watery it felt like slime and the rice was burnt and wet at the same time ..I immediately threw it away it was disgusting never again!please save your money and never order here and if you eat from here I m concerned! I wish I could insert the picture and show what I got
absolutely horrid. I ordered their fried rice and it was burnt and hardly edible
Great Fried Rice
May 2023. I really want to like this take-out chinese place coz it s in my neighbourhood. But, I have ordered 3x and I feel it s a rip-off in all of them! Even though it s now 2023 and I know that food prices have gone up due to inflation this order is way overpriced. It has been like this even before Covid/inflation when I ordered beef with broccoli. So, for a $12.99 dish in May 2023 all you ll get is a few THIN slices of chicken (please note that the photo here may look like the chix meat is big and thick, but objects always appear bigger in photographs) and LOTS OF SAUCE thickened with cornstarch to camouflage the lesser quantity of meat. The meat is way lesser than a short order in a mall s fastfood for the same price. It s really frustrating when they make the sauce too much that the meat is swimming on it. Might as well buy a whole chicken from nearby Farm Boy for the same price! Below is the photo of the chicken for $12.99 (on a small 6 inch saucer plate only) and the sauce it came with. I really hope they read this and do what s fair!
We always like the food. But today is 2nd time that we had very salty egg Fu Yong again. They really need to pay attention on cooking healthy tasty food. Hope they improve it.
Very delicious food fresh ingredients and great portion. The attention to detail with items and the fortune cookie at the end was just over all a great experience. I ll order again.
Great food and great portion!
Ordered 3 dishes. I really liked 2 of them but was dissappointed with the mapo tofu, it should not taste sweet. Mapo tofu should be salty and spicy.
Never disappointed with their beef broccoli and fried rice
I ordered from Uber eats and the food has no egg, the shrimps were just placed like I didn t matter. Please do better. Just brown colored rice.
Really bad fried rice. It was so dry and tasted like day old leftovers. Almost no meat and the meat that was included was old and dry. The portion was huge which was a first red flag.
We are new to Etobicoke and wanted this to be good, because it is close to our home. I was very disappointed. Sadly, please dont make the same mistake I did and order in desperation. The chicken wings were the only thing that was okay, the beef was extremely chewy not one tender piece, everything was not hot and the chop suey was watery. We ordered on a long weekend thought they would be busy! $80.00 uber will not refund. So sad. Please dont order.
Terrible food. Never eat here!
Worst restaurant
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! Its incredibly convenient, and the owner is very friendly, welcoming, and understanding of customers needs. They provided great assistance in selecting delicious and reasonably priced dishes. The food was delicious, and the delivery service was prompt. Highly recommend!
Awful. Tiny potion. Undercooked veg.
This place used to be great ! Now their cooks arent so good, food isnt like it was before they moved from dundas street West.
I wish I had taken a photo. All the food I ordered for take out, I didnt think much and when I got home to open them were all filled with bell pepper and onions underneath. General Tsos Chicken was literally only on top of the container. Beef in black been sauce was A OK. Only thing we thought it was worth is the Egg foo yong. It had good review on uber eats and i never been sooooo disappointed.
We love this place! Delicious food, excellent fast service, nice people! We moved two hours north of the city (unfortunately, they dont deliver here - lol!), but we still come back to get our favourites every time were in town! Keep up the great work, CFG!
B.B.Q. Pork Chop Suey looks soupy , 90% or more being sprouts , really is not good House Special Fried Rice , poor on vegetables , I didn t look good Let pics here
Bland food. Tastes really bad. I had to throw away almost all of it. Highly not recommended!!!
Get food here atleast 1 time a week and has been good everytime ! The general Taos chicken plate for 10$ is such a good price and you get a large size portion. They always get the order right . The people working at the restaurant are friendly and are accommodating to requests !
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I ordered the Singapore Noodles and chicken balls. I had advised them I wanted the noodles mild and they hit the spot! The chicken balls had the right portion of batter and chicken. They were not greassy and oh so yummy! I will definitely come back to try other dishes. Parking: They have about 6-10 spots.
Great customer service!! Food is fresh and amazing, a must go to place!
Food is pretty good. We spent $120.00. Asked several times to please write the numbers on the outside. They were very reluctant. Picked up the order and said they forgot. Was a bit of a challenge going through all the containers as there are people that have certain diet restrictions, allergies and vegetarian.
Great spot for some Chinese food!
I did not enjoy the food at all. The Szechwan noodles were overloaded with sauce, a very sweet sauce. I thought Szechwan meant spicy. Too much sauce on their Mix vegetables black bean sauce. I will not use them again.
Can not recommend this Business based solely their lack of care and customer service. I am a frequent customer and their food has always been decent. New Years they gave my food to a wrong driver and refused to make it right when my correct drivers had come to pick up. Thats $70 down the drain, Any business that even during covid lacks any kind of customer service or care for others should not be supported. Support Local restaurants just not this one!
The food was tasteless. Do not recommend this place.
Fresh delicious food. Crispy vegetables (carrots, zucchini, baby corn .very little green pepper (the usual tasteless filler at other places)!! Nice quantity and fair price. We will definitely reorder!
Bland food, no taste, poor quality ingredients... Dont waste your time and money here
low quality food, lots of rice, not many vegetables our meat in dishes. bland taste
Ordered Friday lunch...including chinese broccoli and general tso chicken. Food was fresh, crisp, flavourful, not greasy or too saucy. AWESOME, in other words. A request for no onions was heeded and the preparation (and delivery by Skip the Dishes) was lightening fast. Highly recommend!!!
GET GENERAL TSO CHICKEN OVER FRIED RICE. Amazing value and taste for the money! Ignore the bad reviews, they are just cheap people.
I ordered food to celebrate Chinese New Year. I was very disappointed. I cant express how disgusting the food was. They messed up the order. The shrimp was swinging in sauce. Just looking at it made me sick. The rice was dry and distasteful.. never again. They took long with my order, Initially when I called they said that they were very busy and it would be delivered in an hour and a half. In fact when the food finally arrived it was about 2 hours later. I called several times to find out how much longer for the delivery the woman on the phone told me another 20-30 minutes. Then proceeded to tell me she cant guarantee it would be delivered at that time either because the driver is out doing other deliveries, and she would have to call him to find out where he is. I argued with her about the price and they took 20% off. I ended up throwing out the food. A waste of money and time. I should have just ordered Wendys instead.
i used to order from here all the time but i moved so i stopped for awhile. I used to love it. decided to use uber eats and what a disappointment. The eight treasures veg was bok choy, 2 carrots and an onion....nothing eight about that and the crispy beef with ginger sauce had no sauce and was dry as dust. 45$ with the tip and threw it away. never again
Ordered for 2. SUPER BASIC. Dishes were almost tasteless. 1 BEEF DISH, and also ordered Vegetable Lo Mein (EXTRA BLAND!) which was cross-contaminated with shellfish as my allergies were set off. Disappointing; wont be ordering here again.
The BEST Chinese food in Etobicoke!
Worst Chinese food I have ever had. PLEASE be careful they cook with peanuts but do not disclose it in their menu
I got the Cantonese noodles and hot wings ... both dishes were good ...
Have ordered here for years and always recommend it to friends in the area. Prices are reasonable, food is made quickly and it s a reliable place to order from. Sm discount if you pay cash.
Best Chinese food outside of China Town
Food is excellent. Fast and not expensive. Big portions.
Very fast service excellent food..big portions have ordered for many years always yummy
Great place for chinese take out
Im in love with their sweet and sour chicken!
Been ordering the chilli chicken here since 2018. Good spot, they care about their customers.
Average Chinese food
I like the food here. Its always fresh and tasty. I bought food here a lot and was never disappointed. In other hand, the staff reception needs a lot of work. I still give it 5 stars, because the food is always good then ignoring the not very warm/kind reception!!
Just ordered the crispy beef via DoorDash and the actu5food is different than the photo they have in website. I am not happy about my odrer.
My husband and I tried ordering take-out from this place twice but we regretted the decision both times. The food was bland, poorly made, and definitely overpriced.
Kept cheaping out on their food. They kept giving me instant noodles instead of egg noodles. And when I asked about it specifically to match what the menu actually said, I got yelled at by the owner lady. Used to order here all the time. Never again.
Food was inedible, expensive, and hilariously undersized portions. Do not order. Please read google reviews for restaurants and do not rely on courier app ratings like Skip
Dont even bother. We wasted $75 here. It was garbage. Had to go order more food somewhere else for supper. Cant stress enough how bad the food was. Would have left 0 stars but Google wont let you.
Ordered via Uber Eats. Over priced for the quality. Egg rolls were mostly air and tasted old. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like soap. Vegetable fried rice had hardly any vegetables and overloaded with soy sauce. Vegetable chop suey was over cooked and lacked flavor. Deep fried chicken wings was perfect though, but will not order again.
I just ordered Plate 4 on Uber eats, I asked for them to make spicy. Even though I did, Since I d ordered a combination plate, I had no hopes they would. But, they did make it a good enough spice for me to enjoy my meal. It was quite late at night too! So if the employee who packed my meal, sees this! Thanks bruh! I m definitely gonna order again It s so much and so good for just 10$ meal! I couldn t finish it alone
The food here is so good! You can taste the quality of the ingredients. This is my new fav Chinese takeout restaurant. Lots of classic dishes at very reasonable prices. Huge portions too!
Yeah no dont bother . We are lamenting the closing of Lis Oriental Kitchen and decided to try these guys out . We ordered a pick up . So seemed all good but when we got the order home it was lacking an item , we had ordered 2 spring rolls and only received one , and the spring roll that was included crispy yes , thats about it . Food goodish , was expecting a bit more spice on the spicy dishes, they did seem to give us the request for less salt wherever possible so kudos there ( well see how much water we end up drinking through the night) nothing to write home about .. Parking: Parking is fine
I have gotten C-Diff from this place last week we stayed away for about 3 years decided to try it again and I was left with C-Diff it came from the beef they served me careful where you eat!!!!
Nice quick and tasty option through Uber Eats when youre in a hurry. The sweet and sour chicken balls were very much in the old school American -Chinese food fashion. The egg food young could have used oyster sauce, but it was still a great choice.
Awful service! We just ordered for New Years Eve. They took our order and said it would be ready in one hour and 30 mins. We called after two hours and they never took our order! Don t order from this place. The servers over the phone are rude and there is yelling in the background.
Terrible! Avoid this place. The service is awful and the food tastes like poop. Too expensive for what you get honestly. Go to Hong Kong Garden instead
First time trying and by far my favourite place I got Cantonese chow mein and it was very good my hubby got the pepper steak with soft noodles and he loved it. We will be returning!
My wife and I ordered from here for the first time today and I have to say we really enjoyed it. Everything came exactly how I ordered it with no complaints. This actually became my first choice from now on.
The absolute best Singapore style rice noodle dish anywhere! It is the only thing I order here.
Tasty food at reasonable price.
Great place for chinese food. Great professionalism.
Thank you for completly ruining our Valentine dinner. Did you taste the food? The food was full of salt. Now dont say it was because of using all the sauces. You should know the measurement right?
Real good
This is the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Worse than the General Tsos chicken I had in small town Saskatchewan. Im pretty sure the Mapo chicken was just tofu, pork and HP Sauce. The sesame beef had no flavour and the texture can best be described as creepy. The rice was grey and smelled weird. The Chinese Broccoli was slimy, gelatinous and flavourless. The only decent thing I ordered was the eggplant dish, but only in comparison to everything else.
I ordered on uber eats. The vegetable fried rice tastes ok, but most of the veg is grated and its very dark brown....but not brown rice. I got the spring rolls which are fine. The general tsos chicken was not good. It was on a bed of barely cooked vegetables which was obviously just filler to make the dish look full in container. I will not order here again.
Great deals,excellent food.
The food was okay. Had to wait for quite some time when I came to pick up my Uber order, though it was marked as ready for pick up in the app.
Old school Chinese
Absolutely terrible service. We specified that we had a shrimp allergy in our Uber order TWICE. The restaurant refused to change the whole order even though I specified do not send any shrimp because there is an allergy and and they sent shrimp in the order and then told me that they only wanted to replace one item in my order. I explained to the restaurant numerous times that they cannot give me an order with shrimp because I dont know if any of the other food came in contact with shrimp. The woman insisted the boss said they are too busy and dont have time to replace my order even though it is their fault because I specified CLEARLY when ordering that there is an allergy.... yet they sent the items WITH SHRIMP.... This is absolutely terrible service for a restaurant to tell me that they wont replace my order when they made a mistake because they are too busy. THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. They were extremely rude, the woman who answered the phone was laughing while telling me her boss wont fix the order because he is too busy . There are 3 OTHER adults who heard this conversation. This was a celebratory dinner for my daughter today for a special ceremony she had.. now its so late to order elsewhere AND eat at a decent time. Im absolutely disgusted by this service. The lack of care is absolutely atrocious. They also sent BURNT meat. Some pieces are burnt and black. Lets not even discuss how bad the manager was in person when the food was returned. These people should be ashamed.
WORST FOOD EVER!!!! DO NOT ORDER HERE. WHEN I ASKED THEM TO REPLACE MY FOOD THEY HUNG UP ON ME AND THEN BLOCKED MY NUMBER!!!
It s actually a pretty good place for the price when you re hungry at 12 am. Tried a couple things and the Schezuan noodles, hot and sour soup and chicken fried rice is good. Neatly and well packaged. You have to eat it hot otherwise there s no point in eating it.
Terrible experience. The food was not fresh at all, it tasted reheated even though it was only 4pm. They included allergens in our food even though it was specified before hand that there was an allergy. The owner was nasty about it and told me to eat around it . He lacks knowledge of what an allergen is clearly. Very impolite staff and there are WAY better places in the neighborhood to choose from with better service and food for a better price.
We were all set for some decent food from this restaurant, but were thoroughly disappointed when a BLACK hair was found in on of the orders. We have no BKACK HAIi our family. Then all the pastiche containers were messed with overflowing food. Taste was not very appealing. Dont waist your $ on this place
This place used to be my go to for over 20 years and within my last 5 orders the quality went down there food went from amazing to down hill the food is not seasoned very well at all there is very little sauce added to my orders its overcooked and overall poor Found another place called Hong Kong Garden and OMG its amazing make youre own opinion of the food this is just my review for the Chinese food gallery you may like it but they have lost me and all my family and friends as customers
We have ordered from Chinese Food Gallery for 15 years. They have the best egg foo yung and general tso of any restaurant Ive been to in Toronto. Always fast, always good.
Love the food, and the new location, but they need to update the prices on the web menu. they are about $2 different.
Good Chinese food, I had the chicken fried rice with general tso chicken .
Im so happy my husband and I try this place once we move to Etobicoke. The food is fresh, easy to order, never had any issue ! Great Customer service. the Bonus part is they are across the stress from us not far of a walk! I recommend this place to all my friends and family who lives in the west end of the city.
I wanted to share an amazing review for Chinese Food Gallery in Etobicoke. They recently moved to a new location on Bloor St near Six Points plaza, very close to their old location. Their food is always amazing, and the portion sizes are always large. The Cantonese chow mein is both very good, and also incredible value. All other items on their extensive menu from fried rice dishes to chicken balls are always top notch and fresh. Their new location has ample parking, and lets face it they are very well known for their decades long history of both great food and great service. Highly recommend Chinese Food Gallery for their menu selections, service, and value.
Pretty good takeout chinese food depending on what you order. Stick with the classic dishes everyone knows and you should be good.
Ordered from here based on reviews and a recommendation. So very disappointed. The chicken chow mein was mushy, the General Tso s chicken was a meager portion of chicken served on a large bed of vegetables, the Cantonese Chowmein was inedible in that it was undercooked, swimming in sauce and instead of bbq pork had unappetizing pieces of meat. The chicken balls were mostly bread. However the chicken fried rice was very well made. The service was friendly, the rice was good but the rest was very disappointing.
Great hot and sour soup, and amazing sesame shrimp! My place to go for Chinese food! Unfortunately no dine in, take out or delivery only.
I ordered a few items from this place and let me tell you how disappointed i was...everything was really bland....no flavors at all...General Tso chicken was beyond dry and there was not any sauce on it!Fried rice extremely bland it was awful!!!I would never go to this place again!!!
Great food. Quick service. Affordable menu
Not bad, chicken was kind of dry. Chicken fried rice had no vegetables.
Best ever. Highly recommended.
Ordered Shrimp fried rice. It was only rice....with 4 mini small shrimp piece. Really not impressed.
Hair in my squid
Great food and great prices. The manager is lovely and very friendly. We re repeat customers!
Were new to the neighbourhood and tried delivery through Uber Eats today. We were very impressed! Definitely try the Crispy Beef with Szechwan Ginger Sauce, House Special Fried Rice, and Chicken Chop Suey. CFG - you have new fans!
I promise you... Mr. Noodle will taste and look better.
This place is great. My husband picked up a big order and it was ready promptly and packed nicely. The lady at the front was very nice and they had a nice chat, I forget about what. Will be ordering again and recommend trying it out.
First time eating here. I spend 13$ for chicken fried rice ( huge container ) and chicken wings ( 2 ) The wings were very good, The rice on the other hand was very bland, no taste at all, no veggies, and only a few pieces of chicken in the rice.
Small portions. Poor elaborate. Not enough beef, not enough chicken, not enough shrimps ... not enough nothing only vegiea and thats it. Its a very expensive restaurant. Dont waste your money here.
Best general tao in the city hands down. My go to for delivery. Great portions and the chicken comes on tons of delicious vegetables perfectly cooked. So you just add some fried rice and you have a full balanced meal
Very poor quality.
So disgusting, definitely avoid. The noodles were somehow both overcooked and stale, but impossible to eat because they were absolutely drenched in disgusting sauce. Beef is obviously very cheap, texture was nauseating. Vegetables were soggy and inedible too. Honestly, I rarely leave negative reviews because I know how hard restaurants are working; especially during these difficult times, but this (beef lo mein) is easily one of the worst dishes I ve ever had in my life. As I m writing this review I m already beginning to feel ill.
A great little takeout place with quality ingredients.
Worst experience. Food taste so bad. Hate the presentation. Never again ordering from here.
Where to start -this May have been the worst Chinese food I have ever had for takeout. The chicken balls were not fully cooked, as the batter was gummy on the inside. Disgusting. How do you screw up a chicken ball? The noodle dish was like they threw undercooked veggies in sauce on a dish. Lastly the spring rolls had a funky taste. Do not go here. Not even if they are only ones open at 10pm
It was... ok. I wouldnt say great. Everything was fresh and hot. But lacked flavor. And I like vegetables but they pack it so full of the same bland unseasoned vegetables that every dish came out kinda the same.
The food quality is not on par with the price point. Ordered takeout and both dishes were completely void of flavour and had a half inch of water in the bottom of the dish. The Chow Mein was basically just a big helping of Mr Noodle. Mall food courts have better Chinese food for half the price.
The food is consistently tasty. My family and I really enjoy the spring rolls, fried rice and chow main.
The food was amazing 20 years ago I heard that a new group of people bought the business and now the food is not the same
Honestly one of the best Pad Thai that Ive had in Toronto - really big portions too
Customer service is at a very low level. They are not wearing masks as well.
Good variety of items. Food is fresh, hot and reasonably priced. Chicken curry was delicious.
Good food for reasonable prices
Good, standard chinese food
Exactly the tastey Chinese food youd expect !
Great friendly staff good food loving it
Delicious food and generous with their protein serving. They should have a table or two.
Great Food. Lots of Choices
Good place if you need an emergency dose of bland boring old school white person Chinese food. Walk down the street to any of the other 10 Asian restaurants for great food.
Unwelcoming restaurant.
Their sweet and sour boneless pork is out of this world. Amazing.
Food had zero flavor. My noodles were hard and even the white rice was hard.
the food was great
Completely agree with Dale...while we guys were placing the order...the lady who was taking our order was super rude and for some reason it looked like she didnt want us to buy food from there.
They have good wings , the food is pretty good and fast I would say best Chinese in this area
The food is excellent however I felt as if the person who took my order did not want my business. I would rather spend my money somewhere else.
Ive been ordering from CFG for twenty years and there staff and delivery is spot on!! there food is off the chart! every dish is exactly what you ordered and any special request is made to the letter! there food is always super fresh and hot when delivered. there ingredients are top drawer. ive never had to complain about anything in 20 years!! those naysayers are out of there mind!! ive lived in toronto all my life and this place is the best, and i will tell you hands down you will not be disappointed with anything from Chinese Food Gallery!!!! FRESH QUALITY AND SPEEDY DELIVERY!!!
Great food and very affordable prices...will definately be going back again!
