This was my go-to Chinese food restaurant since I was a kid. We love the chicken fried rice, general Tao chicken, egg rolls, sweet and sour shrimp and deep fried chicken wings.

Pretty average across the board. Made for high schoolers looking for a quick meal.

I have not been here in a few years, just nasty food, could not eat it at all, a number of my co workers from Air Canada stopped going a few years back, last time for me, just disgusting, all in the garbage.

Was very pleased with the food. Tasty and better than I expected when seeing the venue location. Definitely recommend.

The meal was ready in 4 minutes. The food here is pre cooked and reheated. It made me sick for two days.

I havent ordered from here for quite a while. Last time I did the food was good, this time not so much. This time I only ordered one of the dinners for one. It was terrible. The 5 teeny tiny BBQ ribs were harder than a rock. The rice was soggy, too much sauce from the veggies, and basically tasteless. I was very disappointed. Too bad as it was a good spot for a quick meal.

I havent ordered there in while because the sweet and sour ribs were cold with sauce on them. I think they forgot to heat them. We tried them on Saturday and the sweet and sour pork came with a bbq sauce. The Singapore noodles were dry. You could see the curry powder all over it. Not good. Last time for us.

Dont even bother going to this joint, I rather eat a soup sandwich at a strip club at least its made fresh there and not 2 day old leftovers at this place. Like other reviews mentioned this is directly across from high school so he just heats it up and slops it into a container it has no flavor and charges you $2 for a can of PC Cola lol now thats cheap cutting corners rip off.

This restaurant has been here for at least 40 years. Always consistent. Fair prices and the food is very good. It s nice to have this place close by. Staff is friendly and they are efficient.

The chicken balls were huge and full of real chicken! I am used to chicken balls with more batter than chicken. They came 12 in a huge order, and 3 were more than filling. The spring rolls were light, crunchy and very tasty. It was first of many visits. I am in a wheelchair, and the owners were happy to help with my needs.

Was a pleasant surprise. Our regular place has been closed during Covid. This was a good find with consistently above average food.

Very poor customer communication!!!! We are a large company, we placed an order over a week ago for New Years Day for our employees working. They said they do deliveries on New Years Day thats why we placed the order. I confirmed multiple times about this they ensured me they will deliver. I received a call today notifying me they cannot do deliveries and I asked to speak to the manager and the lady named JESSICA said NO and I said let me speak to someone in charge, again says NO and hung up the phone. Very poor communication skills and social etiquette. You just lost a lot of business and money. And Im most certain your name was not Jessica!...If I had to pick I would NEVER give this restaurant a STAR! ..unfortunately had to give one just to post this!

Just left the Golden Wok after picking up dinner. I always order 2 cokes with our meals. When I got home I looked in the bags and no cokes . I went back and the hostess was VERY ride and suggested I forgot to order cokes . She refused to acknowledge her mistake. And basically said I should go elsewhere next time. The New owners are rude disrespectful and condencending. I will not be spending my hard earned dollars there ever again. And this is after going there 20 years or more. Its suprising how NEW OWNERS can really destroy a established business!!! Still have not been back. They lost a long time customer! !!! From now on Im going to Hong Kong Gormet at Renforth and Rathbun. Great Food !!!!Friendly happy lady working at the front . What a contrast !!!!

The food here is not good. It is like food court style, but worse. Their General Tao is pre-cooked chicken nuggets with a syrupy sauce poured over it. This is not proper Chinese food. I can see why they do this as they offer a $5 lunch special for students and have a high school literally across the street. If you are expecting quality Chinese food, look elsewhere

Fair prices if you order lunch specials. Overall tasty dishes and good portions. Family has children so you may occasionally be distracted by a lovely young boy playing in the back and dining area.

Had better Chinese food, this place has ok Chinese food but the fortune cookies are good.

Ordered chicken balls, fried tofu, fried rice and vegetables...all of our food was extremely bland and the portion size wasn t too great. Definitely have had better Chinese food.

Do not go here. These people are racist. Yesterday we asked for side plates and a drink. She only brought plates with the food on it. No cutlery. We asked her for plates, knifes and forks plus cups of water. Her response was that you are asking so much but you guys never tip. We asked her what she meant by you guys never tip because this was the first time we ever came to the restaurant. She said you black people... you never tip. Mind you my first jobs were in the restaurant industry so I always tip 15% minimum. Not good service and not good people. Having an issue of bringing forks, knives, spoons and water? Basic things to ask for a restaurant and its a problem? Why give a place like this your business. Horrible people

Before the new ownership food and service was consistently good. Today they got our order wrong and the woman at the register insisted it was our fault. I wanted her to fix things and give us what we ordered/wanted. We left there and left the food there. They could have fixed things but chose not to. We went elsewhere to pick up dinner and wont be back there.

I just ordered Chicken Wings which were amazing. The fried rice and Cantonese Chow Mein were drenched in soya sauce. Very disappointing! They used to be amazing. Since the new owners took over the food is not very good. This is not the first time and we will not be retuning. Ive lived in this area for over 30 years and the food has gotten very poor. So unfortunate because of the location its so close and has been part of this community for a long time.

Ordered number 8 for one person, the veggies and noodles. It was delicious, average sized portions and it came with a fortune cookie. Nice seating area as well.

Under new Management! Food was great and very fresh tasting. Not oily like a lot of other Chinese food restaurants. Friendly staff too! Thank you!

This food is more like DOG FOOD!!! I ordered for the first time tonight and it tasted like it had half spoiled ingredients mixed in with fresh. I am praying my little girl does not get sick from the shrimp she tried before I could taste it. it tasted bad. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. A waste of $50!!! Hopefully we will feel okay tomorrow.

terrible customer service , wouldnt wish for anyone to end up here, the ppl working there were extremely rude especially one man who went wack and kicked us out but mans were froze so we decided to stay and negotiate. We were finally alowed to eat but then the man told us to shut up when we laughed attempting to take our happiness away, at the end he accused us of messing up everything and slammed the desk we were sitting at and told us to get out when we didnt do anything. If u want to live pls dont go here.

The food is like dog food instead of Chinese food, and the bad service make me disappointed. Im from the north of China. I think this restaurant is so terrible that it loses face for Chinese. P.S. The waiters speaking English is even worse than mine, and her Mandarin is also bad.

Golden Wok was always a great go to local Chinese takeaway in out neighborhood. Everyone went there, the food was top notch and the service was exceptional. Ever since it was taken over by new owners it has gone downhill The food is often improperly cooked, take out orders are often wrong, we have given up on ordering here after three terrible experiences.

Ordered a Szechuan Noodle dish for take-out. All I got was a container of plain lo-mein noodles, a tasteless clear goop with chili flakes and some half cooked onion/carrot/bean sprouts. The dish had ZERO taste other than the heat from the chili. I ate a few bites and threw it out. Worst Chinese food Ive had to date by far. Most of the others with me who ordered were not too impressed either. Pass on this one and go to one of the Hakka places near the airport.

Ordered the manchurian chicken (hakka style) for pick up. Was very disappointed when I opened the bag to some random chicken with vegetables. The food itself wasnt that good the chicken was over breaded. Wont go back!

New owners suck. Never ordering food from here again simply because they royally effed up on an order of only THREE plates. Shrimp and lobster sauce tastes like cheap no name, grocery store BS. Not to mention, forgetting the noodles and rice in two of the orders, thus forcing us to make our own noodles at home ($2 per pack, you know!). Lastly, the girl who took our orders on the phone had a very negative attitude when asked about the messed up order. She is rude!

LOVED EVERYTHING!!! Service is amazing, the food is phenomenal (I recommend the Singapore Noodles) and prices are great for the amount of food you get. I eat here whenever I am in town and always order extra for the next day!!!
