The food was nasty. I ordered sweet and sour pork and chicken fried rice, there was no chicken in my rice which I don t mind but however my sweet and sour pork had something hard in almost every piece it wasn t edible.

Fried rice, stir fried vegetables and chicken balls good although slightly bland, lo mein terrible. Used spaghetti noodles instead of lo mein noodles and they were mush with no flavour. Staff very friendly and courteous

Ive been going here for 30 plus years. It is take out and deliver only, and you need to plan in advance because they do get very busy and pick up times can get up to an hour plus on the busier days. Well worth the wait. I havent had a dish that I didnt like.

Food was 1/10. Every piece of chicken or pork dish had a HUGE bone in it. It was basically breaded bones dipped in sauce. Rice was a day old. Veggie dish had fried celery with traces of other vegetables. I ve never had a worse take out in my life.

The service was very good but all of the food was very bland. There was bones and cartlidge in one of the chicken dishes. The meat in the lomein tastes like it was boiled and the noodles are very bland. The general taos is soggy and tasteless. The wonton soup was okay but the meat in the dumpling is very bland. The eggroll was full of a bunch of tasteless bean sprouts. I do not recommend.

I was craving some Chinese food. Tried their chow mein and it was excellent, fresh and crisp. The dish had a great balance of flavors, with just the right amount of savory sauce. I ll definitely be back to try more.

Only ordered General Tao chicken. Tasted more like Corporal Tao. Not tangy at all. Tasted more like lemon honey chicken.

Calven always takes care of us I always specify breaded shrimp softly cooked not crunchy and they are delicious as all the food is Kate and Jen and the whole staff are a pleasure to deal with Food

We have been here a few times in the last couple years and the last few times it has been very disappointing. The portions have gotten much smaller and the beef and chicken were very dry and not very fresh. The noodles were not very good: sort of like over cooked spaghetti. The rice was also very dry and seemed like it had been sitting a while.

Just try ordering last minute on a Friday night or a holiday... believe me, they are worth waiting for (no matter how long the wait). I have tried other chinese take outs, and nothing has even come close to comparing to the taste and quality. Consistent and perfect every time. Love, Love, Love Mayflower!

Mayflower is THE best Chinese fast food joint in the world. I am not exaggerating at all. I ve been eating from here since grade school and now I am passing on the deliciousness to my son :) Unfortunately I ve moved cities away, BUT, I always make the long drive to Mayflower. You can t satisfy that Chinese food craving with any other restaurant. You just can t. You really have to experience the WHOLE menu. You ll learn what you like. They ve been around for longer than I ve been alive (over 30 years). That tells you how consistent and delicious their food is. This is the BEST takeout joint there is.

Mayflower is a community staple. A family run business with all the essential Chinese food options. Tip: They have walk in combos that are all amazing. Combo 3 is my favourite. (I order combo #3 with sweet and sour sauce on the side- you do pay extra for it on the side but it s worth it). Another personal fav is the Shanghai noodles.

A few months ago we found a hair in our food. Called and the mgr really didnt care and offered 20% thr next order. HA! Since we have been customers for a long time and agsinst our better judgment , we stupidly ordered again and again we found a hair. Mya I suggest a hair net. So tempted to drive back and throw the food back at you. Disgusting

Very poor experience today. Ordered around 5:30pm and was told food would take about an hour. Got to the location at about 6:40pm and was still told to wait another 10min for food to be ready. I am almost certain my order was not started until I got there because the Cantonese chow mein I got was burnt and did not taste good so I can only assume it was rushed as the attendant could see I was getting impatient. Definitely will not be returning, other items I order were disappointing such as the mayflower chicken and their deep fried chicken wings.

Not too bad. Customer service was great! The food was okay, we typically have ordered from flower drum on royal york & lakeshore or gardenia on scarlett . Id put this is 3rd place in comparison to those. Overall though not bad but maybe it was busy but we ordered dinner for 2 with wings added and some dishes didnt have a good amount so it looked rushed imo.

A staple in the Etobicoke neighbourhood. When I crave chicken balls, Mayflower comes to mind and it is a must have! I ll always drop by when I m in the area. The owner and his family are very welcoming and creates a friendly environment. Comfort food, amazing owners and conversations .what more could you ask for?!

This place is an Etobicoke institution. It s exactly the same as it was back since the 1980s and that s a good thing.

I have ordered from here many times. Ive noticed that Cantonese is very dry and very green no carrots. It use to be much better . Sorry I liked this place alot but seems to be slipping.

Been a Mayflower fan/ customer since the 80s ... Since I was a kid! But unfortunately last nights order/dinner was absolutely HORRIBLE! Disgusting! Very surprised an sad about what happened to these guys! Did my usual order, sweet n sour shrimp, with chicken chowmain and egg rolls! Sorry to say/report. Absolutely disappointing an disgusting meal! 5-6 pieces of shrimp in the box that was left empty otherwise! (Used to be packed full!) Burt crispy overdone! Disgusting! Egg rolls were the exact same! Burnt overcooked fried whatever! Still disgusting! Asked for EXTRA plum sauce... Obviously got none!! Ughh An the price was almost double then I used to pay before! Just a month or two before if not more... I even tried to call an ask what happened? Whats going on over there? An was just dismissed!! Very sad experience! An definitely wouldnt recommend to anyone anymore unfortunately!

I just called to repeat my last order Shanhai chow mein $11.95 on May/26 $12.45 today. Wonton & noodle soup $5,25 May /26 $5.50 today Egg roll $2.05 May/26 $2.25 today Sprijng roll $2.50 May 26 $2,70 today This has been going on for over 2years And the worst part is their food is nowhere near the Mayflower of old. Very bland at best. So sad Bruce

So I been ordering from this place for 6 years. Then one day I placed an order for their ribs and I COULDNT EAT IT BECAUSE IT WAS SO BAD. SO I CALLED AND TOLD THEM SO THEY OFFERED US REFUND. EVEN THOU WE JUST ASKED FOR ANOTHER MEAL. ANYWAY WE GOT THE REFUND THE NEXT DAY. A WEEK LATER I CALLED TO PLACE AN ORDER AND THE OWNER TOLD ME AM BANNED FROM ORDERING THERE BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED THE LAST TIME. AND I WAS IN SHOCK. I KEPT REPEATEDLY ASKING HOW AM I BANNED AND I HAVW ORDERED FROM YOU GUYS OVER A 100 TIMES FOR 6 YEARS. AND I COMPLAINED ONCE AND NOW AM BANNED? HE COULDNT GIVE ME A RESPONSE. SO IF U DONT LIKE A MEAL. SHUT UP AND TAKE IT BASICALLY.

Been coming here for at least 6 years almost 7. My partners, staff and associates all switched over to mayflower. Even after moving 30 minutes away at one point. However its unfortunate but they will no longer be getting our business any longer. We ordered a ribs dish, wings along with Bacon fried rice (with chicken n beef). In our 7 years it was the first we ever recieved anything unedible. So we called with our very first complaint and we were not seeking a refund we actually asked if we can replace the dishes we would actually send them both back. They declined to send replacement meal at midnight and offered to send refund the following day. We agreed and thru away all the food except for the fried rice as that was fine. Following day I called at 5 pm they said driver would arrive 630pm. We received a full refund. To ight we decide to order as we normally do as we order minimum 6 to 8 times per month not Including the office which is another 4 to 6 times per month as they do open rather late in the afternoon. So we placed the order and were informed because of the issue of them not preparing the order properly we would no longer be able to order. We wish you and the establishment the best of luck. It was a fairly good run.

I ve been ordering from Mayflower since it first opened well, call this the end of an era for me. I put in my order at 5:55 pm tonight let s call it 6 pm. Was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half ok, 7:30 pm for dinner is okay. Waited waited .at 7:55 pm 2 hrs later I called a gentleman said I should have been told 2 hrs. Really?? Two hours for take-out?! That s because we have a lot of orders, he said. Maybe, just maybe, if people are waiting for 2 hours you re taking on more order than you can manage?? The order didn t arrive until 8:07 pm and then, the food was a huge disappointment. Bland, watered down lemon and sweet and sour sauce, the beef was not fresh, that I m sure of. Spicy General Tso not spicy at all, not even a little bite. They sent a bean sprout dish when I ordered chow mein. I was wondering why the girl on the phone asked me if I wanted to tip the driver now I know! Poor guy wouldn t get any tips the way they are going. The quality I remember, GONE. This is greed at its best. Last time for me

Had the dinner for 2, not very good! Rice was ok and the pork chow mein was so so. Now the sweet & sour spare ribs well most of it was either batter and bone or just batter. A couple of pieces actually had some meat on the bone, unbelievable. I will not spend $33.90 or any money at this place again. They used to be pretty decent but not anymore.

Used to order from this place back in the day, tried it again today. Ordered the mayflower special chow mein, chicken balls, general Tso chicken and egg rolls. Quality definitely went down over the years.. the chow mein was bland, stiff, hard vegetables with a baby handful of meat they didnt even bother mixing it! Chicken balls were so bland and oily. General tso chicken was like mashed potatoes so Soggy.. the egg rolls had strictly beansprouts in them.. ugh for 58$ save your money. Regret giving them a chance again.

Pretty standard American-Cantonese style food. Quite bland, except for the spicy dishes (and no, Im not a spice fiend). We ordered Shanghai chow mein (good!), vegetable lo mein (bland and kind of wet), and two chow meins but they messed up the order and gave us two chop sueys instead. It was ready on time and with no trouble though!

The food was so bland and greasy. The Breaded lemon chicken wasn t breaded at all - it was deep fried and tasted like just fat. Curry sauce was like jelly. Very disappointing and will not be ordering again.

Ive been coming to Mayflower for 30+ years and it has always been very good, I moved to Peterborough 6 years ago and havent been able to find a satisfactory replacement that is even close to the quality of this place so whenever I am back in the old stomping ground and have time I stop in to pick up a meal. Everyone is very friendly and polite as well.

My wife and I order from Mayflower on a regular basis. Most of the time it is the same three or four items. We lreally like these items for their quality and consistency in taste. Unfortunately, the taste has been weining as of late. I ordered the same items tonight and the taste hit a new low. The beef and black bean sauce and sganghai noodles tasted blah at best. The singapore noodles were ok but not As good as they used to be. Lastly, I loved the hot sauce in little white packaging. Today they supplied a hot sauce in a clear package that tasted disgusting. I dont know if they have changed ownership or maybe the cook. What ever they have done, it is not for the best. I will try a new place in Etobicoke once I find one. I am open to suggestions from whomever reads this message. Thanks.

Been coming here for over a decade and never had an issue. The highlight here are the chicken balls, highly recommend the #1 combo if you want something that fills you up that wont break the bank. P.S always do take out, theyre constantly busy with orders so delivery will be a lot slower then your common pizza joint.

Was here last night, ordered #1 combos, the egg rolls smelled like they were fried in very old oil. You do get a lot of food, but the quality of the food is not good . Ended up throwing out both combos. Cant recommend this place.

Best westernized Chinese food in all of Etobicoke! Their chicken balls and fried rice is phenomenal. I also recommend trying the beef and broccoli, shanghai noodles and lomein noodles!

Chicken balls were nice along with the sauce, was very tasty and came fresh. The fried rice is a personal favourite and Im always happy to have it. Staff was really nice.

Not sure how this place has 4.3 rating but this is the worst Chinese food I ve ever had. The chicken and noodles taste so bad where I had to use the bathroom 3 times that a sign the food wasn t fresh. I love Chinese food but this here wasn t worth my 50 bucks. To top of the bad food experience, they want you to pay over the phone first because they only use one debt machine for their store? For those who want better Chinese food experience this isn t the place.

Not Vegetation Friendly! I called Mayflower Chinese Food to order a dinner for 2 combo, I told them that I was a vegetarian and asked if I can swap out the two meat dishes for vegetable alternatives, the lady informed me that they only allow one major change in a dinner combo. I asked if they offer a vegetarian dinner combo and and she apologized and said that they do not. My response was, so you re not vegetarian friendly and she apologized again. Seems absurd in this day and age not to have a vegetarian dinner combo, especially since swapping out the meat dishes for an all veggie dish would cost much less for them. This is a disappointment because before going vegetarian about a year ago, I used to order from them regularly. Not any more. :(
