321 Rexdale Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1R8, Canada
Relatively healthy food, tastes good and meat wasn't very rich in flavour. Rice tasted delicious and perhaps buttery. The salad was good, of a standard vinegary flavour. There was noticeably less salt in the goat and lamb than any other eatery I've been to. I liked the lentil soup, but I think lentil soup is hard to mess up and I've had better. Dishes are close to $20 each before tax. I'm curious if there are more savoury dishes in Somali cuisine. I may come back to try it if the restaurant replies with more info. It's a sit-down place and they bring the food to your table so custom would dictate that you should tip. They don't really have attentive staff as they have one person working who often disappears behind the kitchen door. However they'll pop out every so often. For a sit-down place, it is poorly lit and a bit run down. They had a monitor on but it was just playing commercials instead of anything entertaining or news. It might have been fun to be asked if we wanted to see anything in particular since there was no one else in the restaurant.
We love going to Bilal restaurant in Etobicoke. Their food is super delicious, specially goat, chicken drumsticks and lamb. The serving size is great and the price is very reasonable, considering the soup(depends on availability) and drink is also included. Too bad they are far from Brampton or we would visit them every week. Highly recommended!!
Excellent restaurant but stingy with the sauce. They don’t even have option to buy extra.
Drum sticks are just bomb but restaurant decor needs serious renovation
Delicious somali food, and nice portion and the price is absolutely reasonable. I recommend it I also noticed they were doing catering.
Had the lamb on rice the lamb was mostly fat with little meat and it took almost 30 mins for the food to come, the decor inside is drab and could use a renovation they had the AC inside blasting when it wasnt even hot outside. For Somali people this is up to standard but i am a Canadian citizen and this place feels very third world.
The service from these people is top, top. The soup is second to none, very fresh and well seasoned.
Only goat steaks and rice dishes are traditional 😋 tastes, but chicken is kind of KFC fried. Lentils soup is OK.
Very bad place to eat Not clean ,cold food, employees not wearing good gloves, no emergency exit Food
Somali brothers have not heard about hygiene.
Bilal restaurant most of the time is on point. We ordered food to pickup during Eid celebration. The Rice was undercooked and the wasalad was a bit tough. Hopefully my next visit will be better
Good food I like the soup
Worse restaurant on the planet don t eat here
Some of the best food in the GTA
Consistently tasty food!
Somali Cuisine, mainly delicious rice and spaghetti goat meat served. It has a family area exclusively. Customer service is good. Food : 5/5
Everything on the menu is delicious! I always bring my non-Somali friends here for the best Somali food in Toronto. The portions are huge and there is so much variety you can get something for everyone. Incredibly kind staff as well.
Goat shoulder must try
I love their food, and the staff is amazing. It is hands down one of the best Somali restaurants in Toronto.
Love it!
I traveled 30 min away to their restaurant and it was close , Biggest disappointment lost my break .. And you guys have no dignity for us, to change it online on the website to show its close So please dont come this day ..
The food is amazing and the service is wonderful! We got our food so quick and the ingredients were fresh, the grapefruit drink was delicious aswell. Thank you Bilal i will come back
will done
I just wanted to say that the food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! Each dish was prepared perfectly, and the flavors were amazing. I can tell that the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!
Great Somali food.
This the worst place to order any food
The food quality is at its best. Always hot and fresh.. I highly recommend the roasted goat meat with rice, and of course their signature mango juice is one of a kind. Anyone looking to eat at a somali restaurant should definitely check this place out.
Worst ever
This place serves out burnt meat and the quality of food is really worse. Stay out as much as you can.
Good service good food and cheap, I like their soup and chicken drums.
Worst restaurants I ever go and I will never will their service is so bad and food is bad untested stay away!
Alhamdulilah bilallisthegoatshoiulderisgoodcomesinverylargeportions
Amazing
Delicious fresh food, affordable and generous portion.
Wasalat is just blissful!
Best restaurant I ever see in Canada
Shoulder and rice, goat meat very tender definitely recommend 10/10
a year ago Authentic inexpensive Somalian restaurant, located in West End of Toronto. Generous portions, reasonably priced. However, dont expect ANY customer service or a reasonable time frame for orders. Even if you call and place an order, when you get there.....you will be told 30 more minutes its as if you never placed the call or they just gave away your order.......
Best pasta and goat !
Worst
Great food. Recommend
Authentic somali food.
The food was so delicious and is better than other restaurants.
Amazing food great hospitality beautiful interior
Chicken stew was tender and spiced perfectly, one of the best I have ever eaten. Portions are huge. Highly recommended.
good food! terrible service :(
Amazing cheap food.
Whatever you desire: goat, chicken, steak, pasta, rice - its all ahh-mazing! I love this place! As always, they went above and beyond to accommodate us and the food was delicious! Its not easy to move online or make a small business accessible, i truly appreciate every effort theyve made to make this work (this isnt cheap and often comes with little return). I commend the people that Bilal for doing everything that they can to keep us fed, healthy and a little happier during this time. If you are in the west-end of Toronto looking for affordable and authentic Somali food GO TO BILAL and... If you are in the east-end GO TO Asal (hopefully they reopen). ps: the portions are also huge!

A nice, authentic, no fuss, no frills, and very inexpensive Somalian restaurant, located in West End of Toronto. Generous portions, reasonably priced. Great for take out!
Great Somali food. Order ahead.
Authentic Somali food
very dirty store im surprised they havent been shut down by ministry of health. Check out the kitchen before ordering what a disgusting mess. Wish I knew before eating their food and getting food poison. Ive had somali food before but this place should not be serving food.
Good food
Delicious meals all the time. GOAT LAMB CHICKEN BEEF all cooked in very rare seasoning cooking techniques. The rice.. so good. Most definitely one of the best for a lot of good nutritious tasty food. Not oily.
Mashaallah very good restaurant and food. Very cheap $ in price and enough quantity and 1 lbs chunk of meat with rice for 11$. Soup is awesome. Better than desi type of restaurant.
Hands down the BEST chicken in toronto as well as the rice, the respect, and the love they show as you enter this lovely restaurant
No menu... Taste is not good.... wasted half of my food

Excellent quality food
Great tasting food at reasonable prices. Family friendly.
Best place to get your east african bite
Great food very accurate to the culture not watered down and fair prices
Food was not of quality and meat portions were meager and very insufficient. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Room for improvements.
Amazing food and service.
Food is stale
This time of the day its too slow prices are too high but the food is bless.
Excellent Somalian Food
One of the best Somali food place. Their Wassala and Beef Stew is amazing. You never know. You just might be pleasantly surprised. Pro Tip: Call in advance and place order. They take time to prepare, but it s worth it
Owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. Theres no menu, but you can trust the staff with your order
Ok! meals
The food is same as Hamdi except this place has building issues. Need upgrade
Authentic Somalian food. Reasonable price too.
Excellent service, heath and delicious food, clean environment

Traditional Somalian food
Delicious food. If you go to eat in Bilal restaurant please watch out mouth burns it s hot food. I love it
No menu, expensive. Would advice to ask for pricing before you order. Cleanliness wise, i would say it is fair
When I want to eat right and enjoy good meat I go to Bilal. Best Somali restaurant in Toronto.
Before it was a good place to dine in. It is a bit creepy dining in there
Awesome food
Authentic somali cuisine, great customer service, i definitely recommend this restaurant.
My favorite restaurant
The food here is absolutely amazing. The decor inside is simple so if youre looking for fancy decor this might not be the place for you but if youre looking for great tasting food at an affordable price then look no further make the trip here. Ive been to fancier places but this places food is way better every single time!
Good people
Love their food. So delicious and flavorful.
Food came after 1 hour and it was freezing cold
Good service and clean
Yummy soup
Avoid unless you are Somali, but they should also avoid it as these people are giving bad name to Somali people. It clearly shows on menu 16 dollars for Wasalad (goat shoulder with rice) after I order and the food came it was not shoulder meat, still ok. They were serving soup first to few customers coming in before the food was servered, but since being not Somali, they never served me soup. When I asked, as I am used to going to other somalian restaurant not far from there, he relucentatly servered me soup halfway through my meal. When I went to pay, he demanded 23 $, on asking that it is 16$ on menu he just insisted this is the price. It has so much meet. Anyway paid 23$ and left. Not worth arguing for 7 dollars as it does not make me any poorer nor them any richer. My friend, who recomended me, was so upset when I told him the details that he offered to pay me 7$. offcourse I did not take, but asked him to promise me not to recomend it to any one else, atleast.
***UPDATE: Even though I really enjoyed my stay there, Ive been told that its not a clean place at all. A friend of mine went and say a rat, the waiter did not even looked surprised which was what bothered me more. So maybe I gave it a 4 star rating for food, but I would also give it a 4 rat rating for grime. Original Review: There are a few places that you feel the owner treats you like his guest rather than his customer. This is one of those places. The service was very kind and friendly, he even gave my sister in-law samples of drinks because she wasnt sure which to choose. The drinks were bottomless and the food felt the same way. We ordered a three meat plate (combination of three plates) but felt like it was good for 7 people and the taste was just right. One of my friends was used to a more refined dining experience and was second guessing going in solely from the looks of the restaurant, but once he tasted the soup and food, he was blown away. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the place could be a little bit nicer but everything else was great.
Amazing Food. Just got better. They have renovated the place it looks great. Nice and clean. Delicious food in a comfortable environment. Allah bless them.
Yummy food, prices could improve...also cleanliness
Okay Somali restaurant
Simply Amazing.
Very nice restaurant, with delicious and indulging variety of food.better go back there again.
GREAT FOOD
Good food, delicious dishes.
Delicious food, very friendly service and economical priced...... Just need improvement on the ambiance.
Its food is halal, delicious and delicious for rice and meat lovers
Good food
The food was quite good and well priced, but the service was terrible. And honestly, if you arent muslim or are a woman in non-traditional clothing its really uncomfortable, the judgement is palatable. Not a place to take friends or expect a normal dining experience. I wouldnt recommend it for anyone besides members of the muslim community.
amazing
Good Somali Food.
It Has An Awsome rice dish (with the meat, chicken and salad) and also the orders are fast.
