The worst restaurant.. rude customer service.. food is also not good

Disappointed by the food quality. Was expecting higher end for a restaurant in the Kingsway. Service was decent with cozy booths. Music a bit loud.

Bona is the best server, she always makes sure you are happy and gives you wonderful recommendations. She is the reason we had a wonderful time at this restaurant, highly recommend. Food is fantastic.

We have been here as a whole family of eight people three or four times. Always a pleasure! Love the staff! A great place for Greek cuisine! Very friendly and efficient service. Wine list has many reasonably priced wines, food was delicious. They are kid friendly, with typical kids meal options. Easy parking behind the store.

Best place to have Greek Food

Wow! Just wow. Everything is delicious. Absolutely the best Greek in the area, if not in all town. The gigandes beans, huge portions of meat, huge portions of everything. We love the Dolmades. Best lamb my mom has ever had, and that s saying something! Perfectly seasoned. Absolutely wonderful restaurant with great service.

Ordered delivery and got a Gyro dinner. Everything about the dinner was delicious. Very generous with the meat serving. Potatoes and rice were perfect! The salad was light and crisp with just the right amount of feta. Only thing I found odd were the beans in the dish, but it was still good. Will definitely be ordering this dish again.

Great Greek food, best in the city

Ive never written a review before but after this experience I felt compelled. The food was good, but the server completely ruined the dining experience by constantly and rudely rushing our group because her shift was ending. Even after all this, the server made it even more uncomfortable by asking me how much change I wanted back after paying the bill. Enjoyed the food but will NOT return due to this unpleasant experience.

Great for dine in or takeout. Service is always fast. Spicy red pepper and feta dip is excellent!!

The food is excellent and abundant, and the ambiance is great, but sadly, this last time that I went with some of my friends, the waitress was super rude and had a bad mood. I understand that sometimes we dont have a good day, but your clients dont have fault. My last visit was February 11th at 6 pm.

Used to get food here all the time and decided to get takeout I m not sure what s happened, but it felt like the chefs/cooks just phoned in the whole meal. The chicken souvlaki was dry, the rice and potatoes lacked flavour, the flat bread resembled the cardboard you get from the stale PC flatbread packages (veg on top wasn t bad), the dolmades had less flavour than the ones you can buy in a can for a 1/4 of the price, the tiropita was okay at best and the dip combo was flavourless and came with a side of wilted soggy tomato wedges. I wish this place still cared about the food they made like they used to.

Wow! I understand it s the holidays but what a terrible experience. I ordered online at 5pm with a delivery service called Touch Bistro and the food never arrived. When I called the restaurant it is an answering machine. This isn t good. Google said the restaurant was open, and the online delivery service took my order so I assumed my food was would arrive. If you are closed for the holidays have the courtesy of letting your customers know.

4 stars because the gyros meat was a bit on the dry side. Everything else, calamari, lamb, etc. was excellent.

We come to Just Greek often and enjoy their food. Portions are huge so come hungry! I personally liked the fried calamari and their fries. Their wine was delicious too.

Everyone went out of thrir way to help us celebrate a seniors birthday. We were allowed to bring our own cake. An appetizer of 2 plates waiting at our table with out charge. Nice gesture. Vegetarian options: Several veg dishes offered. Son enjoyed the veg souvlaki, roasted hot peppers, baked lima beans. Buns are delicious. Parking: Can enter restaurants back door from paid parking lot.

Came here with a large group (9 people). Food wasnt inherently bad, large portions, but some of the dishes were incorrect (potatoes instead of rice, fries instead of potatoes, etc). My chicken souvlaki meal had a bone in it and waitress gave weird vibes. All in all, for 3 people came out to $95 and American Express is NOT accepted. Not a bad place, but Jimmy the Greek will give you far better value, taste, and service.

We often visit this restaurant. We like the food and the ambience. Not the best but okay. Every time the same waitress serves us food. She is nice. On Saturday, 29th April, 2023, there was a new waitress who was extremely rude. We went for dinner at around 7pm. She made us wait for almost 45mins and then when we asked her about the food we ordered, she was rude and weird. As if we made a mistake by asking her about the food. She was impolite. Average food, pathetic attitude of the waitress (NEW).

I went today for dinner to this restaurant with my daughter for mothers day and we were so disappointed in the quality of the food. We both had the souvlaki dinners and it came with rice and peas. The taste of the rice, peas and potatoes was not good at all! First of all it was all over cooked and it didnt taste good. We have been to many other Greek restaurants in the city and this was the worst we ever had! Really disappointing for a Greek restaurant and also the peas was not what is expected as a veggie side with Greek food, to us it seemed like a cheap way of preparing a Greek dinner dish. Also the Greek salad that it came with it didnt even have cucumbers which is suppose to come with and they only put one olive on the salad, like really, at least put 3 to 4 olives in a Greek salad thats the whole point of a Greek salad! I dont recommend this restaurant for Greek food, unfortunately I would never come back, not to my liking.

Had a quick dinner here and the food is fresh and delicious. They don t complicate things here and I love it. Prices are very fare as well. I ll continue to come here when craving Greek food.

Great authentic Greek food. I went with a big group (around 9 friends) and they accommodated us with no problem. The service provided by the waitresses was perfect. They provide you with cold water and try to refill your cup often. Clean and safe bathrooms. Do not hesitate to go there and try their food, or only to have a drink with an important date . Great job, keep it going that way!

Just Awful. When food is so expensive I was disappointed that a sit down Greek restaurant in the Kingsway had the nerve to be this awful. Greek Salad with 1 olive and barely any feta - awful. Spanakopita that was 4 burnt coals on a plate. Huge plate of Souvlaki that was so dry I literally ate 2 pieces of chicken before I gave up. The Moussaka was dry and tasteless. Ive had Greek Food in malls that were tastier.

Honestly, this is an old time guaranteed perfect spot for some solid Greek food. It was the best I have had in a long time. Village salad was crunch and all fresh veggies, my chicken souvlaki was tender and very tasty. The washrooms were clean which is always important to me. I could do without the CP24 ticker lol All and all a delicious meal.

The restaurant was full of flies. I was swatting flies off my food the whole dining experience. The service was even worse, the server was inhospitable and unsympathetic to the fact that I wanted a new salad because a fly had landed on my food. Food is gone down hill... Greek potatoes are no longer Greek potatoes . Veg in the rice comes from a freezer and Meat quality is down a notch.

First visit to Just Greek. Very nice comfortable & homey atmosphere. Took My Friend from Malta here for Lunch. We quite enjoyed Our visit. Both of Us enjoyed the more than ample portion of Homemade Mousaka served with Greek Salad & Rice. The fresh Grilled Octopus was done to perfection. A nice added touch was the fresh baked still warm Dinner Rolls.The Saganaki Flambe presentation at the neighbouring table was an impressive traditional display. The lady that was looking after Our table was was very professional, attentive and helpful with recommendations. Very Good Memorable Experience. Will be visiting again and telling other Friends to stop by as well. OPA!

Enjoying Taste of the Kingsway and thought we would stop in for authentic Greek food, primarily the Calamari. The food was amazing...our server, not so much. She rushed us to order saying the kitchen closes at 9pm. That was fine because we wanted 2appetizers and a kids meal to go. At 8:40 I politely asked another server (ours wasnt paying attention to us) if we could get the bill. She said sure, shell be right back. I watched her tell our server, who looked our way and continued to open wine bottles of wine and do other things. 15minutes later I asked the same server (woman, short black hair with a thick accent), if we could please get the bill. I mean its not like she said our server will be right with us or any kind of update... rudely she replied, Im NOT your server and this is not my table! I already told her! She rolled her eyes and went to speak to other guests in her language while rolling her eyes at my mother and I. Keep in mind we were told the kitchen closes at 9pm and this rude woman seated a party of 6 people at 8:56pm. Anyways approximately 15mins later our server came with the bill. Didnt apologize or anything. While the food and portion sizes were great, I wouldnt go back.

Recently celebrated my son s 18th birthday. The food was amazing and the service impeccable even despite our large group. The owners provide authentic Greek appetizers that were delicious. Restaurant also sells traditional Greek products for you to take home which we availed ourselves. It was unanimous that we would either return together or separately on a future occasion.

Ordered on Uber eats and was actually a disappointment. I ordered the calamari, the fries, and the pita. Calamari was just ok.

The food here is pretty average, can definitely make better at home. The prices just dont make sense given the quality of food and the portions. Moussaka didnt taste fresh at all and the chicken souvlaki and tzatziki were bland. I get that good Greek food can be simple, but it needs to then be fresh tasting.

This was our favourite Greek restaurant in the neighbourhood for many years and continued to be even after we moved out of the neighbourhood. We always enjoyed their service, food and atmosphere. This evening when my wife went to go pick up our order it was ridiculous to see that two employees in the kitchen, who deal directly with food, were NOT wearing a mask AT ALL and that a bunch of others were not wearing theirs properly, including the manager who came to speak to her at the pick up counter. The only employee wearing her mask properly at the back was the young lady at the pick up counter. At the moment, wearing a mask in indoor places is still mandatory and to see that what used to be such a great restaurant is not following the current Covid 19 guidelines is very concerning and disgusting. If they are not following this simple guideline and bylaw it makes me think about what other guidelines are not being followed, that ensure a safe dining experience for their customers. Think twice about ordering and eating there if you are a Covid 19 conscious person, as they are not following proper guidelines. There are other great, safe and more clean places to order from in the neighbourhood. Nobody wants a side of Covid with their meal - do better Just Greek and dont be gross.

My families go to greek restaurant. Old world depth and complexity of flavour requires Old school cooking and skill. You simply cant go wrong ordering from here or dinning in.

The food was well cooked and most enjoyable. The staff was happy, helpful and did their jobs very well. It was a pleasure to be there.

Decent Greek food. Can be a little slow. But very tasty once arrives. Paid parking behind restaurant. Have to ask for bread and water.

Stellar service. Our waitress, Bona, was friendly and checked on our table regularly. Food was very fairly priced (salad along with your main course meal). I also liked the ambiance. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable.

Every time we go there or pick up our order, its great. Service is very good, food is delicious and I dont mind somewhat increased prices considering the pandemic. Value for money is still great due to quantity of food you get. Almost every time I get two meals out of one order. This time our food was slightly late in arriving and the owner gave us a free beans appetizer. Birthday person gets a very nice slice of cake for free. Love this place !!!

This was our first experience at Just Greek . We were meeting our friends for supper. We were greeted very quickly by two very friendly staff. Our wait staff was great. I am sorry I did not catch her name, but she was simply wonderful. We each ordered an appetizer which were prepared to perfection. Our main courses which included Chicken Souvlaki, Lamb Souvlaki and Spanakopita dinners were great. My wife said it was the best Chicken Souvlaki she has ever had. Our friends said the Lamb was cooked perfectly and very tender. My Spanakopita was very tasty. The portions were big so we had a few boxes to take home. We made room for Baklava and Chocolate cake, which were great. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. We live about an hour away and don t have a Greek Restaurant like this in our community. It was worth the drive. We will be back!

We ordered from here on Doordash and since there is no option for a side of pita on the Doordash menu, we called and asked if they could substitute the regular bread with pita since we were getting two sides of tzaziki. The lady who answered the phone when we called was very uninformed and at first said No, we cant do that and then she followed that up with let me ask the other lady here....I dont know.....Then she returned and said yes, well substitute the regular for pita. The order came and there was no pita....only two rolls. My husband called the restaurant to make them aware of the issue and we were obviously not happy. We werent rude or belligerent but asked to speak to the boss who proceeded to unapologetically ask so what do you want me to do?. Subsequently, he hung up. My husband was even more upset and called back again and when the owner recognized his voice, he slammed the phone down again! Such atrocious customer service.... Now, about the food! Ok so after the aforementioned horrible service we really wanted to HATE the food! The problem is that the food was okay. The chicken souvlaki dinner was good, the tzaziki was good and my greek salad was tasty (hard to screw up Greek salad!). Luckily, there are a LOT of great Greek restaurants in Toronto and more specifically in Etobicoke and Mississauga. Well be taking our business elsewhere because of the owners sheer ignorance but he likely wont care if his attitude was any clue! I personally recommend avoiding this place and giving your business to a restaurateur who legitimately cares about customer service.

The restaurant has a good atmosphere. Very good wine selection. We enjoyed everything. And our server was so sweet and attentive.

The Tiropita Dinner was amazing for lunch today, both the Tiropita, sauce, and the salad it came with were fantastic. Perfect portions (at least what I ordered), great taste, and the prices were right. Looks popular for takeout too.

First & last time ordering. So very dissapointed after reading all the great reviews. We ordered 3 dips, they were all too salty to eat. The Spanokapita was little frozen triangles, all burnt. Bread was burnt & cold, beet salad flavorless & we did not receive the leg of lamb we ordered. Learned Skip the dishes customer service is pathetic. Ive ever complained about an order, but I would never recommend this place.

If there would be 10 stars, this what we would gave. Just Greek restaurant has the best greek food. It is always fresh, tasty, and very addictive. Even their salads are very sooo good (and a salad its just a salad, right?). Every time we went there, or orderd food from them (and we love their souvlaki), the food was fresh, very good cooked and sooo tasty. We love it, and we definitely recommended to everyone who wants to feel a greek rainbow on their mouth.

Stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant on Bloor West and honestly cant wait to return! Why go to the Danforth with this tasty authentic Greek cuisine in the West end?

My absolute favourite place for greek, and I LOVE greek. The goat souvlaki is mouth watering I love the way their greek salad is tossed. So light and refreshing. If youre into greek, youve found the spot that will satisfy you and leaving you wanting more. I always park in the rear and take the back entrance. It can be a bit smelly back there so pinch your nose as you go in (they garbage is in the back) but parking there is ample. They also have a great wine selection if youre feeling up tight and need to loosen up a bit.

So disappointing. Ordered gyro dinner. Its not what you think. The meat is basically cat food. Unseasoned potatos, unseasoned veggies, unseasoned rice. Hunk of burnt bread. Nothing authentic about this place. Not real greek at all. Just tastes like hospital food...

My husband and I had a craving for Greek food and this restaurant did not disappoint!!! We had Greek salads with gyro meat for lunch and we ordered the 4 meat platter with a large Greek salad for dinner. The salads were delicious and seasoned well. It had a good amount of vegetables and feta. The gyro meat was cut thick and seasoned well. The 4 meat platter was so tasty! The meats were tender and well seasoned. We even have lunch for tomorrow! My favorite was the kofta. It had a crispy crust and was soft in the middle. I love the fresh mint in the inside. The tzatziki sauce was creamy and had great garlic flavor, which was the perfect compliment along with the lemons. We would definitely come here again and the service was fabulous! Thank you!

This is usually my favorite place for Greek food. We decided to support our local business today by having take out. I called and ask for dinner for 5. Chicken sticks, rice, potatoes, pita, Greek salad and fish. I am sad to say this was the most disappointing experience I have ever experienced with your food. The chicken was burnt to a crisp in spots. Most of the pita s were charred to death... We recieved a very small portion of rice and potatoes. There wasn t even enough potatoes for everyone. I was so happy to serve this dinner for valentines and it was very disappointing.

a Kingsway gem... I believe the spot was opened up by the dad of the current proprietor, who immigrated to Canada from the land of Homer, Socrates and Pythagoras... the whole family is involved with helping run the restaurant... and, let me tell you, they know how to cook... I mean, really take their time and do it right... I myself love the chicken souvlaki on pita bread, with a side of, maybe the best French fries on this side of the Atlantic... the passion for cooking shows up in all their dishes... the one drawback is, obviously, time... so plan ahead, look over menu ahead of time (link?) or, if starving, get takeout and call 15 minutes before you arrive... well worth a try... opa... M

Worst experience ever here!! Orders are never made in time. I am an Uber driver and went to pick up my order, they tell you 5 min and your waiting over 20 minutes for the order. All I m asking is be honest and tell me it s going to take 20 minutes then I ll cancel and keep going, but no. Even call in customers are there waiting so long while I was there. If you call in and they give you a time, go 30 minutes later to have the food ready for when you arrive. If they are so backed up they shouldn t be taking more Uber orders, but instead while I was there every Uber order that comes in they accept.

Dropped in grabbed a couple lenten Calamari dinners ...oh man!!! Rice, Potatoes, Calamari - green beans!!! And a freshly baked roll to dip into the Greek Salad juice. Love this and oh yeah, they also have a little Greek pantry and wine market in store. So convenient! We even found some Limani Sea Salt here too.

This restaurant has been one of my favourites over the past decade (fair price, good portions and food, good staff). However, since Covid, the quality seems to have changed a bit.

Ive lived 5 minutes away from this place for 8 years and I cant believe Ive never even stumbled across it until today. I got the stuffed peppers and I felt like I was transported 25 years back in time into my grandmas kitchen. Absolutely delicious with some savoury potatoes, salad and a fresh soft bun that tasted amazing. I never write reviews but I just had to now. Pricey but worth every penny - I might order with them again tomorrow and maybe the next day too :) great job guys

The food is great. No doubt. But prices have recently increased (by no small amount). And while I understand restaurants have been having tough times. It means this place isnt quite the good deal it was. Nice for a occasional night out, but not so nice for regular visits, or delivery.

The most wonderful staff excellent service and the food is phenomenal to die for truly I feel like you re on cloud nine a perfect date night or bring the family or friends to this great establishment can t stop speaking enough about the service and the food quality and the 16 ounce steak literally is a knockout compared to local steakhouse is down the street that are twice the price with their home cut Yukon fries not frozen and fresh if you want quality great service and excellent price try this restaurant out. Oh and to be honest I have tried all the best steak restaurants in Toronto and by far for the price this is the best bang for your buck check it out

I really wanted to enjoy food from this establishment. I placed an order over the phone (instead of skip the dishes to support local) and specified a pick up time. Upon arriving, there was no order ready and no record of my order. Clearly someone dropped the ball. I called the next day to speak to the manager about this and instead of offering an apology and a means of rectifying the situation, he was rude and dismissive replying with uh huh and ok. I should not have had to call the next day, something should have been offered/done last night on the spot. He then asked me what do you want me to do? Well YOU RE the manager what do you think you should do? Hopefully you take this situation as a learning opportunity, I certainly have.

My husband and I had dinner here last night and we really enjoyed our experience. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy and everything seemed very clean and orderly. Our server was very nice and our food came out fast. The bread and salad before our meal was delicious. We ordered the small chicken souvlaki dinner and a large lamb/beef gyro dinner. The food was very well seasoned and we had enough of the gyro to take home for leftovers :). All in all a great experience!

There was a problem with our order BUT they were outstanding in getting my family our usual delicious meal and continue to be our go-to place for Greek food in the west-end!! Thanks for your service to our community!

Best Greek food in Toronto Place that never disappoints

Ordered catering for a work event. The food came in perfect trays and was delicious. The entire staff enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend. I spoke with Bob multiple times over the phone who helped with my order. It was tough getting ahold of him multiple times after to confirm the order and make a payment but other than that no complaints. Yummy food!!

I can t believe all the great reviews. Have people lost their taste and can t tell cheaply made food. The food here is not impressive at all. A friend took me here years ago and i could tell the food is made from a lot of frozen and cheap ingredients. I forgot and just ordered off of skip and as soon as I had a couple of bites it all came back to me. Horrible and I could make better food out of a microwave or box or can. It s sad.

Dine-in is nice when it is open but they messed up my delivery order. I asked for pickles on my gyros on pita in the special instructions and they did not put any pickles. Not the end of the world but I wont order delivery from them again

It was my first time there. I went for just apps to share with a friend. Everything was excellent. The chicken skewers were moist and the octopus was a tender without being rubbery. I will definitely be back
