2356 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8V 1B6, Canada
Restaurant offering Indo-Chinese food, including vegetarian options, in a petite space with a patio.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a meal. The noodles were delicious and cooked to perfection. My server, Kanishkaa, was incredibly polite and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. I've already recommended this place to my friends and family, and I'm sure they'll love it too!
Went there thrice, loved the food, ambience and an exceptional customer service. The staff really is warm and friendly. Loved the spice levels ;) Highly recommended!!
EXCELLENT !!!!!!! I was waiting on flight and chose to stop off and must is say the food hit in every way it needed to! I was astonished the price was very reasonable for the quality of food they prepare. Was prepared fresh ! Nice ingredients. Service was exceptional and the atmosphere was very very clean and I was enjoying my time. Keep up the awesome work and I hope everyone finds the Gem of the Food here and enjoy! Bucket list of life for sure
Absolutely in love with this place, the Crispy chicken, ginger Hakka noodles and saucy veg momos have my heart now, specially crispy chicken the best of all.
Easily one of my top 5 favourite restaurants in the GTA! The quality of their food is consistently top-notch, and regardless of spice level is always incredibly flavorful. The lollipop chicken, Chilli fish, and the Gobi Manchurian in particular are fantastic!! I definitely recommend giving their good a try
Went here with friend & ordered their lunch menu package (including a soup that came out earlier) + momo. All of these tasted good, very mild spice (despite we asked for spicy) so everyone can handle it.
Went after so long and happy to make this decision. The taste is as good as it was when we went for the first time. Super fast service and servers are very humble. If you want ambience then this is not the place. It’s a small restaurant with good food and service Sometimes, that is all that matters.
Found this spot near my place and loved the preparation here. The hakka noodles are so authentic to Indian street food, chilly chicken tasted really good. It doesn’t come with a side though. I tried the vegetarian steamed momos and they did not disappoint as well. This place served water in actual copper jugs and glasses which is something I have never seen. They serve the vinegar with green chillies and that reminded me of India!! Sprinkles of authenticity here and there. Love it. The service was excellent and cannot go unnoticed.
Raj the owner who is also the chef surprised us at our table to check on our satisfaction of our food and service. Needless to say service and food quality and taste was awesome. I would highly recommend Everest Hakka House.
Tasty food , good service we enjoyed
Got to dine in here with my friends recently and we loved it ..their chilli paneer and Shrimp hakka noodles were on another level ..their spice customization for every dish deserves extra brownie points for them .their food was served fast and our server Hemanth was so friendly with us ..Its one of my fav restaurants in Etobicoke now and i will surely visit again
Friendly courteous service and delicious (spicy) flavor
Just had dinner from here....we were craving something indo Chinese and spicy and was 100 prcnt satisfied by the food we had....Kanishka was lovely and soo nicee...will come back for sureeee
Lots of flavour, spice and heat! The staff was very nice! I loved everything we ate! Very, very delicious. The place was also very pretty and cozy.
Take out - Ordered chicken fried rice, veggie fried rice, chili chicken gravy, chicken lollipop, and veg Manchurian balls. Reviewing this based on Tamil Nadu-style fast food flavors: Fried Rice: Good taste, made with basmati rice in the white fried rice style. Chili Chicken Gravy: Tastes good but is too watery. Chicken Lollipop: Disappointing pieces are extremely small, the smallest I ve ever seen. Veg Manchurian Balls: Ordered medium spicy but received them super spicy, and the flavor wasn t good. The portion sizes are very small for the price. Our total came to nearly $90, which feels overpriced for what we received. They definitely need to improve the portion sizes.
We have lived in the area a long time- and have never been- I regret waiting so long! The food was amazing! The service was fantastic! I definitely recommend! (Chicken Hakka noodle and fish chili was so good!)
First time eating here. Went on a whim for lunch. I am so glad I did. The food was amazing. You can pick your spice level. The staff were attentive and courteous. I will go there again.
Have been going here for years. Excellent quality and variety of food, reasonably priced, friendly staff, comfortable and relaxing environment.
Awesome food! Tried house special mixed noodles, excellent!
Really nice customer service and good food!
My favourite chili chicken in the city! Edit: still my favourite chili chicken in the city and Subash is great! Food : 5/5
Subhash was great at service. We got our food quick and it was a banger. Would definitely recommend!
Best Indo Chinese till far i have tried after so long!! Worth every penny. Must try corn pakoda, and I must say very fast service. Service by Subash was fabulous, very proffesional!!!
One of the better hakka restaurants in the area. The food is delicious and the customer service is excellent.
Yummy food and super kind service ! The noodles are my fav ! And you get cheeta beer which is nice too !
Nice cozy place for some delicious some delicious spicy hakka meal Vegetarian options: Yes a lot Food : 5/5 |
Had lunch here the other day and the food and service were excellent! Best chili chicken Ive had in a while. Only feedback I would give would maybe turn the music down a tad , its a very small place so we found ourselves trying to talk over the music. Otherwise fantastic restaurant!
Such a cozy place. Loved the food and service was top notch! Will be back soon. :)
Everest Hakka House serves delicious Indo-Chinese food with a Himalayan twist. Their Chili Chicken is crispy and full of flavor. The Hakka Noodles are tasty and well-balanced. The Momos are soft, juicy, and come with a great dipping sauce. The atmosphere is casual, and the service is friendly. It s a great spot for a tasty, satisfying meal.
This place was an amazing, fun experience and my family and I enjoyed the food! Hemanth: He was a very nice, friendly and served our food gently. We enjoyed him as our waiter! This restaurant was a mind blowing experience and I hope many people come to this restaurant.
Great food, good service. Vegetarian options are amazing!
By far one of the best local Hakka Chinese restaurants . Cozy , friendly service and quality of food outstanding ! Been ordering from them for years and they consistently make delicious dishes .
These terms:- Hakka ,Indo-Chinese etc., has nothing to do with this restaurant. Food tasted like typical indian food cooked by an amateur. Everything had a heavy taste of either ginger or tomato sauce. We ordered some 4 items off the menu and couldnt fondedly finish even 1. All these earlier reviews about taste and quality of food seemed untrue or fake. While the restaurant itself is beautifully located and i loved the interiors, decor and staff. But going back to basics, any restaurant is just as good as the food it can serve.
Had early diner here after craving Hakka , we ordered the schezwan chicken Hakka noodles. They were pretty good! Along with the vegetarian mono s. Good place for indo Chinese food
I had a fantastic experience at Everest Hakka House! The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was packed with flavor. The atmosphere and ambience were just as amazing, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal. I can t wait to return and indulge in more of their wonderful offerings! Highly recommend!
I ordered Chicken Crispy (3.5/5) and Schezwan Fried Rice(0/5). The chicken crispy was okay, and the spiciness was decent, but the fried rice was bland, cold and had no taste. When I asked the server to refire it with an egg to get some flavor or do something, he seemed baffled. In the end, I had to consume it as is.
Taste my best, Mummy and Everest
Great tasty food delivered to your table super fast.
got my uber order canceled because they were too busy. kind of disappointed
Food was very good. Good quality and good portion size. Bigup to our server Hemant.. he took good care of us Food
Highly recommended! for the best Hakka cuisine in the GTA, look no further. The dishes are bursting with flavor, and the spice level is just right to tantalize your taste buds. The aroma of the food is absolutely mouthwatering, making every meal a delightful experience. NOTE If you are a south Indian, must try the highest spice level in all the dishes, especially with fried rice and noodles, you will love it
Ordered 4 different plates, each was delicious and the portions are big! I did pick up, however the restaurant looked clean and cozy with a nice little outdoor patio. Atmosphere was good. Will be back for more!
Really good food, amazing service.
Ive no idea what these guys put in their food to create a masterpiece on every visit. What a work of art chefs! Food that keeps you coming back for another one! Try the sizzlers!
Tried the fish pakora, Chilli chicken with gravy and garlic noodles. Every dish was delicious and the portions were appropriate for the price. The staff are friendly. Will definitely be going back soon. Parking: Free street parking after 6pm
Great food great service
Best lollipop chicken ever! Must-try appetizer.
So happy they had a patio. Food was amazing.
I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant based on the numerous positive reviews. I hate to be negative or even judgemental when I know restaurants are having a tough time with business. That being said I wanted to say my order was for take out. The initial order was incorrect and I didnt notice until I got home. I ordered Chilli chicken dry crispy beef dry and vegetable fried rice. The dishes were full of dough or batter with barely any meat. I went back to the restaurant and they were very courteous and tried to correct by giving me a Chilli chicken not dry which just didnt taste right. The crispy beef also didnt taste right. I appreciate the restaurants effort but I feel when Im spending $51.00 once a week on a dinner for myself I think it should be acceptable and maybe I am a bit picky but I ve eaten other Hakka restaurants and this is the first time I refused to eat the food. I think the people should be aware that the food quality and consistency does not match the reviews. Im very hesitant to write a negative review but the taste of the meat or lack there of or whatever is in the food needs to be addressed. Its not fair to the consumer as the dishes are not expensive but they are definitely not cheap either.
very unique Hakka cooking.
I visited this place 2 days ago. With my friends and we waned to try amazing chinese food and we went here. Experience is so good service was best and food is amazing. Tried veggie type sizzler, veggie Manchurian and best suggest hakka house spl veggie noodles and Hot and sour soup. Liked this place very much.
We order food from here because we like the taste of it and reminds us of our home. But today in the order we found a piece of silver metal in the food. I know it could be a mistake but this is very serious and risky
Great place to eat.
Had a small gathering which ordered the food , excellent food , yummy and good quantities... Keep up the good job ... Food
The Food was excellent and very delicious all my guests have enjoyed having food . The food was fresh and it was delivered at my home and it was delivered very nice neat and clean in a warmer box . Thank you once again Venkat and yes quantity of food was excellent and spring rolls as complementary we really enjoyed it was a nice surprise thank you I definitely recommend this place you all will love it
I have known Everest Hakka for 5 years, im highly disappointed recent takeout with no cutlery nothing, you guys smoothly reduced the quantity you may think people cant notice. The container looks bigger quantity is poor. Very disappointed
Such a lovely patio, kind service, and delicious food with fresh ingredients :)
I absolutely loved the ambience and vibe of the place. The chili chicken and Hakka noodles were top-notch a must-try
One of the best Indian restaurant in GTA and Akhil being a really good served and host Loved it guys Food
One of the most amazing Hakka places in Toronto! Chili fish dry and fried rice, their best dishes Food
Amazing service. Great food!
Delicious food
Akhil was great. Knowledgeable about the dishes and super helpful when it came to serving two indecisive people. We went with the manchurian chicken. The rice doesnt come with it so youll have to pay extra. When it first came out, it was a little yellower in colour then Im use to but hands down the best manchurian chicken I have ever had in my life. I am 100% coming back here again to try other dishes. Highly highly recommend!!
The fried rice was amazing! The quality and quantity were both excellent. The customer service was great, and Shankar was really amazing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
Good vibes and great food. Quantity and quality of food is very good for the price.
First time here and the dry chilli chicken is a must have!
I don t usually leave review but this time I had to. I just had food here like 2 min ago. They close at 11 and it was still 10:45, when this server started rushing us. First, he forgot to punch one of items and when we asked again for the item, he was like you can take out. Because it will 10-15 min as we have to boil the momos like what!!!! And then, we were still eating, but he started clearing our plates without our permission.
Love the spicy flavors, best Hakka food I have had in a long time.
I had been there with my cousin and family friends. On my birthday, so we tried chilli paneer, veggie manchurian, naan and also we tried veggie fried rice and mango lassi also. And, service was soo good and fast.
Delicious food (choose a dragon fish appetizer!) and really personable service.
A unique take on Hakka cuisine
I visited this place with my friends and I tried veg hakka noodle and paneer chilli dry both items are amazing and I like the service
Excellent service and tasty food!
We had a delicious Manchow soup, fish fry and fried rice and the chef, Sankar did an amazing job. 10/10, would go back.
Pathetic food. We ordered paneer manchrian, spring rolls & schezuan fried rice. The manchrian gravy was dark brown in color and we cud see the oil floating. It tasted off and had a peculiar meaty taste to it. Evidentally, they have repurposed the meat gravy for paneer manchurian! Everything tasted weird. We have had good food from them earlier. You have just lost a regular customer because of your carelessness. Stop fooling your customers.
Great service, food customized to my spice level. Highly recommend, will return soon. Thank you.
so yummy and nice people
One of my favourite Hakka restaurants, the food is delicious and fresh, the service is excellent.
% recommended. American chop suey and chickens lolipop is good go. Taste- 8.5/10, Portions- 10/10 Food
Terrible
Fantastic food with good portions and friendly staff
Lovely options to choose. Friendly explanations by staffs for choices. Beautifully decorated served plates. Crispy chicken tastes and finishing with Mango flavoured Lassi ended my day happily ..... Food : 5/5
Amazing food. Very good service!
The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made great recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, perfect for a night out with family or friends. If youre a fan of Hakka cuisine or just looking to try something new, Everest is a must-visit. Cant wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!
Friendly staff. Very flavourful food. I had a good experience.
I was so excited to try this place but was very disappointed. We ended up throwing out the food. I think they use old oil because everything had the same off smell and taste. EDIT: RE The response from the restaurant. We are very familiar with the taste of sesame oil and like it. THAT was not the problem with the food. It was really bad. The smell hits you just before you open the door.
Great spot! The food here is delicious, and the ambiance is so cozy.
Love love love the Szechuan chicken fried rice and chili chicken!!! Super spicy n yummy! Server and owner are very kind and good service :) 10/10 recommend
We ordered chicken noodles and schezwan momos for dinner today. It was a waste of money- the momos had chewy chicken it was all rubber couldn t eat even 1, the taste was like old raw chicken. The chicken noodles had egg that smelled bad. Didn t seem fresh. We spend this much amount on the dishes and still don t get fresh food and good taste. Not worth it. Sorry.
I did not like the taste of the food Service is good The atmosphere is also nice Food : 1/5
I ordered chicken momo, chowmein and chicken chilli on uber based on reviews on Google. I was very disappointed. It didnt taste authentic nepali. I threw the momo out but ate some of the chowmein and chicken chilli. I do not recommend it to nepali folks seeking nepali flavours.
Decent food. decent price. Decent vibe. If you re looking for a quick average meal with fast service, this would be the place. I feel like selecting the order was more challenging as the menu is more extensive. However, the server was an also a big help in terms of handing off recommendations. Definitely a place that we ll come back to, especially to try the other selections in the menu. Parking: There s paid green p street parking that is free at night.
The food was okayish, ordered the chilli chicken but it tasted like chicken in the peanut oil. Did not take authentic and I can say that I had better dish than this. The service was also poor as the table was for four and then we have to ask the service multiple times for the cutlery. The servers were okay as well.
Amazing food. Spice was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.
I must say this go to place the food is so good and overwhelming and if I talk about environment it s like you are sitting in a cafe uphills somewhere. Must visit
Below Average food, bad service but the ambience was good.
Sometimes they make good food, Sometimes its not at all good, I ordered twice from Uber and both the times quantity was very less. Food : 4/5
I called ahead for two orders of chili chicken. I received two half-filled containers each having only about 5-6 bites of chicken and half of the dish was chopped onions and peppers. I was charged $16 per container, a total of $37 dollars including tax. They also asked for a tip for a take out order. Regret. I would have eaten here weekly if it was value for money because I live very close. Its too bad because now I will never return. It may have once been good but the quality appears to be declining.
Its a great place...especially if u like hakka noodles or fried rice with Manchuria. Love this place and would surely recommend it.Raj and Shankar were great.
Best Hakka food!
Dined in with my family and had a great experience. The food was great! Highly recommend this place for indochinese food.
It was good
Vegetarian options: Lots of Vegetarian Options. Food
I was craving for Mumbai Chinese taste from last two years and my search was finally over today! The best desi Chinese restaurant in Toronto! Their chicken manchow soup, chicken lollipop dry and Chicken garlic fried rice were top notch. I am this place serves everything tasty plus the staff and service is too good. Definitely coming back!
Great service. Pretty tasty food, but could be improved. Great ambiance.
The owner was very attentive and dishes were brought out slowly, all made from scratch and freshly prepared for maximum enjoyment. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend Vegetarian options: The Manchurian veggie was very flavourful with a lovely sauce and the paneer pakora was light and delicious.
Lovely place to dine in. Just not enough parking space. Food and ambience were amazingly quiet and lovely. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian option. Wheelchair accessibility: NA
Had a very pleasant experience from the staff and the food is of high quality.
Delicious food full of flavour. Friendly service
Amazing food!
Great hakka food and very fresh! Not many places with this style of cuisine within Toronto itself, so its a must for any spicy Indian/Chinese food lovers
The ambience and service is good. The food itself wasn t that great. If you are from Mumbai or one of the metropolitan cities in India then you will not enjoy the food taste. Our spring rollls were too dry and did not have any veggies just minced dry chicken and peas. The appetiser was chicken crispy was too dry and not tossed in sauce properly. The fried rice had peas in them and the veg manchurian gravy was yellow in colour and sweet to taste. The hospital side of things are good and the pricing is decent and not expensive. Good can be way better
I m a very sceptical person. I tried out this place today and I will tell you it is one of the best hakka places in the country. The service is amazing. The chef is very loving and caring the way he prepares his food everything is clean. I totally recommend for you to go and try this place out if you re looking for some delicious hot food.
I ordered 6 items from Uber eats , delivered only 5 items , called restaurant, the manager tells me to come to the restaurant and pick up the missing dish , kitchen staff made an error , on top they hung up the phone , one of the beef dishes tasted and smelt of fish , I have been ordering from this restaurant since 2016 , the service and food does not taste the same , I don t recommend this restaurant to my family , friends or anyone else
Soups - 4/5 Veg Momos - 3/5 Chicken Momos - 4/5 Food : 4/5
Recently I visited this place and I must say I experienced quick, efficient and friendly service. Food was very flavourful and portion size is good. We would recommend the chilli chicken, and Hakka noodles (veggie, not chicken). A special shoutout to Vegetable Momos. Overall great experience and great prices.
Everest Hakka restaurant delivers an unforgettable Indian dining experience with its incredible menu. The flavors are rich, and the authenticity shines through each dish. The ambiance is welcoming, and the staff is attentive. A must-visit for those craving an exceptional culinary journey!
I came here with no expectations but they fulfilled beyond that. Very tasty Indian flavour foods. Service and atmosphere is at its best. Fantastic experience which I had here. Highly recommended!!!!!!!
Quality and quantity has gone down. Ordered for a party, nothing up to mark. Spice levels were mixed up and quantity was half of what used to be. Good to try - Crispy Potatoes, Dry Chilli Chicken, Paneer and Hakka Noodles.
Sizzling beef was perfect and went well with the mixed fried rice. Mango lassi was authentic and flavorful - would come back just for the Lassi.
Things we ordered 1. Chili Chicken 2. Veg Garlic Noodles 3. Spring rolls Review Did a takeout order a few days ago. Very good indo-chinese style noodles and chilli chicken! Spring rolls were ok. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.
Amazing place to eat me and my family enjoyed a delicious meal at Everest
Very awesome place, such good service. I am sorry I did not comment sooner as I promised. But we got delicious chili beef, and got complimentary dessert with gastric flowers ontop and I forget what it is called, was so delicious. My boyfriend and I come when he is in the area here, and I just been craving it so much again so I order Uber. Thank you , and I forget the nice server man name, but he is always so awesome and polite. Namaste
Had the best time it s soo pleasant and great for a evening all the items Wer soo good .. the crispy chicken their soup .. their carrot Halwa was to the point the service was tooo good they made the dining experience from special to extra special
Best Chinese Items such as Fried rice,Momo , Chilli chicken.chowmin,
Really good hakka food. Been here many times and they never disappoint. Staff are nice and friendly.
We came here for dinner on a Saturday! Based on the highly rated reviews we expected it to be packed but there were plenty of seats available even though the restaurant is not very big. We didnt have to wait and the food came out pretty quick. the menu is extensive and there was a lot to choose from. You can also choose your spice level. The main dishes do not come with rice so we had to order a rice dish on the side. They didnt have crispy ginger beef which is our go-to dish at any Hakka restaurant, so we picked ginger beef which we hoped was the same but it wasnt. It was still good - not crispy unfortunately but had lots of sauce. We paired it with Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice which was delicious and the portion was quite generous compared to the ginger beef. The service was prompt but not super welcoming (no smile or facial expression from the time we stepped in until we left even though we tipped them quite well). Overall the food was ok and service could be better. But nothing to rave about. Expected better based on the reviews.
Complex flavours dominate this gem, A MUST TRY!
Suggested by a friend to try for one sole reason - place is run by Hyderabadi. We tried multiple dishes. Quantity was good enough for a group of 3 - dine in (take out is a different deal though). Veg Manchurian fried rice: its just veg fried rice with no Manchuria. When asked we were told that theyd add Manchurian flavor mix to rice. A lil disappointing but the taste was good. All the chicken items were good. Chili chicken dry is a perfect dish for someone whod enjoy spicy food.
Great food at such reasonable prices. Very good quality and they prepare it only fresh every time. Highly recommend!!!
Had an amazing experience here. The food and the service was great. The ambience reminded me of India. Highly Recommend
Very less quantity especially for takeaway.. We ordered food for 5 people and the quantity was for hardly 2 people..
Really good food with an authentic touch. Their Chili Chicken is a must try!
Delicious and authentic Indian food and spices.
We tried three dishes. While they were OK, they all had the same orange/red sauce. We had mild spice and they were all very bland. If all you have is spice then, Im sorry this resto isnt for me. Sorry, 2/5.
Omg!! Loved the food It is a perfect example of indian chinese food Loved the vibe on the space, cozy and welcoming 5/5 for the service as well, very polite and genuinely concerning
Nice atmosphere and really great service I enjoyed our choices and got to try something new.
King Fisher.
As always the best Hakka food Ive eaten. Im saying this after having eaten at Federicks, Hakka Ren and others. I find the quality better even though the portion sizes arent as humongous as those in the restaurants names above. Its more a quality vs qty choice and I prefer to go for better quality. Vegetarian options: One of my friends is a vegetarian and we were able to get some tasty options- Gobi manchurian, crispy cauliflower..
We did a take out and looking at the reviews were looking forward to the food. We ordered a schezwan rice, hot na our soup and chilli chicken dry. The soup was spicy, and nothing against the spice but it was overwhelming beyond a few sips. The chicken was well cooked and probably the only decent dish. The rice was absolutely bland, zero flavor. We had ordered for medium spicy for the soup and all other food, and none of it was upto the mark. I am not sure if a dine in would have been better.
Decently-priced and delicious hakka food close to the Downtown core. Service was respectable and the chilli fish was amazing! The only thing I would change is asking for a spicier heat level.
Cozy. Comfortable. Spicy. The only downside was that they have too many choices.
Food was good. However the prices are more expensive then most hakka places and quantity of food was not great also. But the food is actually good
Family run place. We stopped by one afternoon when we were near Mimico. The food taste is good, the portions are big and the price is also affordable. The menu choices were excellent. Recommend this place
Probably the best Indian Chinese (Hakka) restaurant we have been to In Toronto, the portions are good and the service is great well worth a visit
Very tasty !
Pleasantly suprised at how good everything was. The service was good and they had enough room to accommodate our party of 11 as walkins.
This Place just Surprised me with everything Food Quality Taste Service hygeine Etc etc Specially when only 2 guys handling the entire restaurant kitchen and dinning , takeouts , dishes and everything was so smooth. This 2 guys rock. I forgot to ask them there names but yes i visited today ( 9th May ) so whoever the crew was Good job guys keep ur good work goin will visit u guys again when we will be in the city. Highly recommended
Pathetic service They have no regard for one s time. Zero customer service and bad bad food Food : 1/5
Ordered vegetable fried rice as part of meal. This is more like just boiled rice with barely any veggies
I went downtown for Mothers day searched through Google for a hakka style restaurant nearby and based on Google review we decided to to go everest hakka house. Darn, the food was not good at all. There was masala fries in the menue and I thought it will be a indian style masala spices mixed fries. The portion was so small and all it contained was cucumber onion peppers with ranch sauce. Was so disappointed. We also ordered calamari for appetizer. I have never seen calamari so thin and all I smelled was tuermieric and ginger. All the food was overpowering flavour of garlic. Malasian fried rice was awful...all I smelled was garlic and sesame oil overpowering. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The space was way too small and congested and the food portion was too small and overall the taste was bad. Ppl dont go to this place. Waste of money
Outstanding. Its like old, tired dishes suddenly woke up again. I cant see myself going back to mild preparations. The spicing was novel, and has a lot of upside for those that enjoy heat, but we were able to easily put together a meal that suited both the spice-lovers and the less adventurous. Service was attentive and quick.
Must try is Manchow soup, chicken hakka noodles, and manchurian chicken!! Great place lots of options and very tasty food!! Highly recommend.
Delicious Food and the service was great. Shyam and Adi took great care of us. We will definitely be back. Thank you
Great food for the whole family!
Great hakka Chinese food specially their chili fish
This was our second time Fried rice selection is great !
Authentic Indian Hakka Chinese! Not even kidding, probably the best Hakka Chinese in GTA.
Order took 45 mins to come. There was no water offered. Once we asked, water cane 40 minutes after as well. The food was okay (no utensils were provided). Overall, very bad experience and never coming back again. I think they should just convert it into to-go place. They are not capable of running this restaurant style.
Food was really good and tasty but terrible service. We waited almost an hour to get our first plate of food and it came with no utensils. They then waited another 15 mins before bringing us utensils. Only when we got the rest of our food that we got water finally after we asked twice.
Love the crispy beef here fried rice and chicken chicken was good too portion size could be better for the lrice. Good customer service.
excellent service handsome guys!! delicious food! Food
Had family come over and ordered takeout from this place. Spent over 150.00 worth of food here. Because I am feeding for 8 people I asked for extra soy sauce. Initially he hesitated and then went back and got me two small packets of soy sauce. After a few minutes of conversation finally I just said I ll pay for extra soy sauce. He gave me an additional three packets and charged me a dollar. With the amount of food that I ordered, I think it would have been appropriate to add 6-7 packets of soy sauce. Definitely the last time I come here as I did not want to have to explain why I need extra soy sauce or pay for it. Would recommend china cottage to anyone as their service and food is better.
Good quality is ok value for money but inconsistent quantity on take away orders
Their Hakka noodles, doesn t matter which one you chose, are all great. I love those. Never been a fan of their curries and I ve tried quite a few of them.
Busy place and its a great Hakka restaurant I cant say enough about the food
Amazing
Reminded me of Kolkata fried rice n chilli chicken.. loved the taste
Fast amd friendly service. The food takes me back home. It is so flavorful and tasty.
I ordered on UBEREATS, tell me how I spent 90$ and received food that couldve been worth under 40$. This restaurant is so stingy. I am disappointed. I work hard for my money too. I ordered for my family of 5, and got small boxes that could be eaten by two young teenagers. I am so upset. This restaurant is cheating people out of their money, during such a harsh time no less.
They took me to india, chicken Hakka fried rice is a must eat
Good place for Indian style Hakka chinese food. Liked the Chili Chicken dry. All the dishes had good spice level as requested. Chicken hakka noodles could have been better.
The beats momos I have ever try Thank you for show me what is the Everest (Tibet)cuisine Food
I LOVE this secluded place on Lake Shore. As a huge foodie I rate this finger licking amazing! Dry fish is a must! Juicy, tender, prrrfect
Excellent place to have Indo Chinese cuisine. Reasonably priced with good portion size. Tried fried rice, noodles, lollipop, pakora and the food has always been great! Vegetarian options: Lot of vegetarian options too!!
Love their mix noodles (with Shrimp and Chicken)
I came here for the lunch special, it was a great deal under $16 for everything which included soup, a spring roll, noodles, chilli chicken, and a gulab jaman dessert. I also ordered the beef momos, which I enjoyed thoroughly. I appreciate the fact that their meat is halal, and the lunch price is so well priced. The favors aren t balanced, but aren t bad either. The restaurant isn t very pleasant to eat in, but the workers are efficient. I am a returning customer considering they re one of the few halal hakka spots in the area. However, the dishes in general are a bit pricey. The momos are definitely the best thing here, I would recommend trying those.
The flavours were very rich and food was very tasty. Very clean and cozy place. Street parking right infront $1 an hour! Very good Hakka food. We are tired of North South Indian and Chinese so Hakka works best. Would go again. Good folks too. Not very pricy. Portions were very good actually. Two orders two adult and two kids ate! Ask for mild spicy not medium.
The food here is my favourite for takeout. Good flavors, tasty options, big selection, and my favorites (dry veg manchurian, fish pakoras, crispy fish, hakka noodles) are consistently good. I never have to wait long for my order and takeout is always packaged well. I highly recommend all the dry/crispy dishes. Heat is also adjustable and can get very spicy. I think the prices are good for the portion size. If you dine in service is prompt and efficient and the space is clean and not crowded. In the summer I like eating on the patio for a casual meal. Thanks for feeding me! <3 Vegetarian options: Vegetable, tofu, paneer, fish, many options for different diets
Lunch menu Chilli chicken good portion and affordable price Manchurian chicken with sauce spicy Creamy wonderful Szechuan paneer with sauce soft little bit chewy just good enough Clean enough and friendly staff
really delicious food, definitely gonna come back !!!!!
The food presentation and taste was simply amazing loved the ambience and enjoyed the food a lot
Not the food quality expected. But really polite staff and good atmosphere.
Delicious food and great service. Highly recommended
Food was great and service was very good!!
Hot and sour and noodle soups are low quality, taste premade without any depth of flavour. Would never intentionally purchase knowing what it was. Ginger Chicken (x2) was highly breaded and amount of food didnt match the cost. Szechuan noodle was ordered as mild but came hotter than the very very hot hot and sour soup. $112 with Uber eats for this order, not at all worthwhile. Would never recommend.
To me it was not a Chinese food taste. It was more Indian food taste I was hoping to have Chinese food. Everywhere else food comes with the rice but they charge extra doesn t make a sense.I went there I saw the google reviews but not happy.
Quick prepared dishes with consistent recipes. Flavorful and yummy. Service is professional and timely. Odd hours check if open. Street parking super affordable. Food : 4/5 |
Tasty indo Chinese food. Great service, quiet ambiance.
I Dont feel right giving this restaurant a bad review because the staff were really sweet and took a lot of effort in making sure we had a pleasant experience. However the food was below average, Hakka Chinese is a risky cuisine to get right and I dont feel the cooks here have enough experience with Hakka. The corn soup was like a desert and even though they say the place is halal it made no difference because the flavor was terrible. It honestly tasted like they were using packaged chicken in all the dishes as the chicken tasted raw and processed. To add to that my stomach felt weird after the meal. I appreciate the hustle but there really needs to be a standard and I was disappointed after my meal. I hope Everest Hakka house can turn it around. All the best!
Their quality has really gone down. The chili chicken gravy was pure soy sauce. Yuck.
By far the best Chinese I have had in GTA or Milton. Great service too. Dining area is a bit small.
Our any time joint if craving! Their prices are nominal with good portion size. So far liked all the items tried especially chicken fried rice and chilli chicken. Keep up the great work.
Too much oil in food !
Delicious halal Chinese food in downtown. Love their hot and sour soup and all chicken dishes.
Tried first time in weekend. Was incredibly delicious took to go. Amazing sauces for chicken
Best Hakka noodles around!
The place was well maintained, and the staff was friendly. Food was 10/10, the noodles were on point. The wait for the food was less than 7 minutes. Overall, it was a great experience. Vegetarian options: It was great! I loved the food. Must try this place
The meal was enjoyable, but the service was lacking with a score of 0. While we were still dining, the server unexpectedly began vacuuming with customers present. Despite the restaurant closing at 9 on Sundays, the waiter seemed in a hurry. Although I agreed to have the empty containers cleared, the waiter also took away my plate while I was still eating, which I find unethical.
Typically Im not a fan of Indian food, this place blew my mind. I was shocked how good it was, would recommend.
Excellent food. Felt like eating Chinese seating in India itself. Soup was great. So werw the noodles.
Used to be good until COVID hit...now, all the food is just extremely oily and tasteless
