Whatever you're craving, Scruffy's is serving up whatever is clever in a friendly neighbourhood Irish Pub however, we drove allll the way over from a different neighbourhood after hearing about their wings...and they were totally worth it!! GIANT airy crispy golden wings fluttered their way to our table in perfectly anticicipated time...like just when you're thinking, "Can't wait to try these lil pluckers.", and ta da... Our friendly server delivered a HUGE homemade order of wings & fries and its usual suspects...carrots and celery sticks and a wicked dill dip. We also ordered a GIGANTIC Yorkeshire Pudding Bowl that had thinly sliced tender roast beef piled high and swimming in a lovely puddle of gravy. OMG ... Ima just leave these photos up here and please note; we took home an extra order of wings for "ron"...later on!!! They have "Daily Specials" on tap and tables, with friendly servers sharing smiles and laughter and customers and pub regulars have at least 15 TVs up with sports and poker and Im sure if your kids were absolute bonkers, they'd maybe switch to more kid friendly interests. Smiles and good food is what your going to find here. We'll be back for those wings again and I'll be tasting my way through Scruffy Murphy's menu...Fish n Chips or Pad Thai up next!!! Stopped by for dinner, but it’s a nice atmosphere to grab a beer and watch a game as well. I had the NY steak and the apple crumble and they were both very tasty. Plus, the service is awesome - Amanda, our waitress, was just lovely!
We are a spanish family of three person, my mom, my daughter and I. We were customers for a long long time. The manager who is running that food business has no manner at all. the quality of the food is low quality for the price shown. The service of some senior waitresses fall down on lack of customer service skills and good manners. Once she brought the celery in replace of the carrots with her bare hands to our table. We were looking each other in disbelief, we didn’t eat them and we didn’t complaint at that time. We always order chicken wings but the fries are horrible. they are soggy, not fresh, reheated, too crunchy and hard to eat them. In one word, they are uneatable. The manager who is in charge has no good manners at all. Today, October 14/24 we went there to order chicken wings, and we told the waitress, named Brooklyn, about how we wanted our fries and wings but all of a sudden, the manager came out from the kitchen and addressed to the waitresses something about us. One of them came to our table saying that the chicken wings is served the way they prepared and they cannot change anything the way they are. Soon after I requested to the waitress to call him out to our table. He came to our table saying that he can only serve us drinks but no food. We stand up and left the table in distress and embarrassed. He didn’t care at all to lose us as good regular customers for many years.
I have been coming to this place for years. It was my favourite place for good food. Watched Raptors win NBA Championship here! Last night (Wednesday) I was there with 4 other friends. We were there for like 5 hours.. we had some wings and 10 pitchers of beer. Got our bill that was around $358.. We put four $100 bills on a tray and waitress took it away. 3 minutes later she comes back claiming we only put $300 on money tray. We knew that we put $400. We did drink fair amount, but our tolerance is high. To us this looked like trying to exhort some more tip money from 4 guys that should be tipsy at midnight. She started swearing at us. She told us never to come back again. I told her that this is all her plan and asked her for her name which she did not want to tell me. After I told her that I will contact the owner tomorrow she calmed down and one minute later came showing us $100 bill that she suddenly found. We just left and did not finish our last drink. Terrible experience. I called the bar at around 3.45pm today to speak to owner/manager, but whoever picked up said they were not available. For this reason I am writing this review. This place is generally good, but last night we had this bad experience that never happened to us before, anywhere!

Stopped by to check this place out for lunch. Looked great at first. Got their all day breakfast as it said served till 4pm. Server confirmed poached eggs to be runny. Came out practically hard boil. Home fries were 100% previously cooked and re fried to heat them up. Even the cutlery was warped up nicely but the knife looked like it wasn't even washed. Left it on the edge of the table so the server could see. She saw it and disregarded it. Strange vibe by the server. Such a pitty as it looked like it could have been a cool bar to brings friends to. Suffice to say I won't be coming back here.
Great setup for group settings. Waitress are recommended for attitudes and services. Disappointed that they closed the kitchen at 10 and only serve fried foods. Wings are disappointing as it's not well fried and outside taste good with the spice but inside needs more cooking.
Finally tried this pub after my friends had been raving about one of their appetizers for months on end. Visited here on a Sunday afternoon around 2PM and oddly enough, the place was half full. I had no idea there were afternoon weekend crowds at pubs haha. When we arrived, the only server there told us to seat ourselves, and so we did. For over 15 minutes, she did not provide us food menus, so we went and got some as we were hungry, and wanted to order as soon as we could. Again, not the server's fault that she was the only one there, but I can say it's a strange choice she did not write our orders down when we placed an order considering she did end up coming back later to ask what we all ordered a second time... The crowd here is pretty darn loud for a Sunday afternoon, and I found that they constantly loudly shouted which often interruptrd our conversation. It did also take us almost an hour after we were done eating to flag her down again for the bill, but again, she was the only one serving. Onto the food! -[1LB WINGS & FRIES] $13 🍗 Two of my friends ordered this and said the wings were delicious 🍗 The portions were also quite large for just $13 from what I saw 🍗 Likely what I would order next time if I came back on a Sunday as this is one of their Sunday specials -[IRISH COFFEE] $7.00 ☕ Jameson, coffee, and whipped cream ☕ Goodness me, the amount of Jameson added was extremely generous! -[IRISH SPRING ROLLS] $11 🥔 This is essentially mashed potato filling in a spring roll wrapper 🥔 Served with a curry dip 🥔 This was the appetizer that was hyped up by my friends, and although I did burn my tongue on it, it is definitely worth trying -[MURPHY'S POUTINE] $11 🍟 For $11, the portion was HUGE 🍟 I did find it to be a little one note in terms of flavor so I committed a cardinal sin and asked for ketchup to eat it with 🍟 Seemed like it was already tossed with either a pulled beef or pork by default -[FRENCH ONION SOUP] $8 🧅 Looked super hearty! 🧅 I would probably try this next time, and get the wings special too based on what my friends said about both of these dishes

We entered, waited more than 5 minutes, nobody came to see us, great us, or asked for us to wait. Everyone was literally ignoring us. We tried to talk to someone but no one was available. We then decided to just left. Never ever saw anything like this before.

We usually have the upper restaurant area reserved for 15-20 people every other Sunday evening. The hardest part of choosing a meal is that they are ALL amazing choices and the portions are huge. Each visit we have one server (Oxana) who is AMAZING! Orders taken promptly, food delivered quickly, and she is very attentive to the entire groups needs.
I m a wing guy and these are some of the best wings I ve had lately. The service was also exemplary. Highly recommend this place. Food : 5/5

We have been racially abused bye this bar do not come here .Absolutely disgusted at the behaviour of staff today . Easter Sunday a widely celebrated holy day all over the world not just in Ireland . Refused to seat us for dinner they don t serve Irish what a disgrace .

Scruffys has changed over the years....most places have....the service is good, the wings are a thumbs up....the only thing I would recommend....dim the lights a bit so it isnt so damn bright!

One of the best local pubs in the area. The staff are very friendly and warm. The food is great. Amazing range of starters and cocktails. And they have amazing Vegetarian options too. I tried the mashed potato spring rolls - Fabulous!!! Also the Friday Night karaoke hosted by Sharon is one that cannot be missed. The setting of this place is fantastic as well. Quaint with Irish pictures all over. If you drink a couple of Guinness or Murphys you will actually feel that you are in a pub in Ireland.

Food was delicious and price is reasonable. The prime rib melts in your mouth, portion was huge and very friendly atmosphere. We were there for Karaoke and New Years count down. All the patrons there were so nice and talented. We had a great time Karaoke was hosted by Toronto Karaoke KJ Sharon, she has an awesome gig there every Friday. If you like to sing, this is the place to be! Its a hoot. We drove 46 mins there to eat and drink. Well worth the drive.

Its was very quiet that night we went to Scruffs, its wasnt to late (9:30 or so) and we were hungry, unfortunately the kitchen was already closed! Maybe it was just that night. But all and all it would be a great place for a big group! Lots of room and a pool table and a dart board.
Ordered from here a half dozen times and its my #1 Liver perfect(even delivered! Basically magic) Steak and kidney pie is still flakey and rich(I have to come have fresh, I know) Best

Had a surprise birthday party here last night! First time here and will be back! Service was excellent, food was awesome, the space was unreal and the bathrooms were really new and clean!!!
Ive been to Scruffys over a dozen times, and its consistently delicious. Chicken wings go on $13 special most days of the week. If you like dry wings, the roasted red pepper is the best & if you like wet, try the hot or buffalo! Suicide is extremely spicy if you dare :). Thinking back, theres only one visit when I didnt order their chicken wings. Tried the pasta once for the special, and it was soooo good. Piping hot, not traditional, but the ultimate rich comfort food.

Food was ...okay...nothing special. Atmosphere was relaxing, its definitely the reason to come to this place. Service was slow and difficult to get server, possibly because they were short handed but would have appreciated the eye contact or check in once every 25 mins or so. My stay here was 2 hours and one check in from server when I had to flag waitress for order. But once you get everything...like I said... atmosphere

Love the pub atmosphere, a lot of the fun activities occur on a stage you can never see no matter where you choose to sit. But there are ample tvs for game night. The food is okay but not mind blowing. The service is very good.

We stopped in on Monday for the first time. I had the teriyaki chicken stir fry. My wife had their cobb salad. Both our meals were delicious and a very nice portion. Both of us had doggie bags. The service was great, very friendly. And the prices were very reasonable. So today we decided to stop in for lunch with our oldest son. Again all the meals were delicious. I had the fish and chips, she had again the cobb salad and our son had the chicken quesadillas. We had the same waitress, and she even remembered our drink order and meals from 2 days ago. Very impressive... we will be back , this place is great.

Very welcoming & casual atmosphere on a quietish Saturday afternoon. Staff friendly & helpful with menu suggestions & what was on tap. Didnt feel pressed to order another drink & offered darts to enjoy a friendly game in a separate area. A new staff member was in training & seemed outgoing & eager to serve. A fairly large pub for the neighbourhood, allowed to choose our own seats, food was good & fresh (tons of amazing onion rings!) & yes, i would definitely go back.

If I could give a place zero stars... it would be here. Waited over an hour for food, and then the appetizer came out at the same time as my entrée. Lack of staff as the 2 servers were running around with not a manager on site. There wasnt even a bartender at the bar!! Food was meh: as an example, the Oscar Plate( which has chili on top of fries) was very dry as if they drained out the sauce. Then we waited another 45 minutes for our bill! This is one restaurant I will not be returning to or recommending at all.

The karaoke host plays favourites. I sat there for an hour waiting to sing, I got there at 8:30, it started at 9 and she was putting up the regulars instead, even ones that came in an hour after us. Food and service excellent. Otherwise would be a 5 star. Food
Terrible service, chicken fingers were very dry, had to ask for the plum sauce. Nephew had wings, dry. Waited 20 minutes to get the bill and it wasnt busy. Huge disappointment!

Honestly would rate a zero if possible, worst experience Ive ever had in a restaurant/pub. I have come here many times with a large group of friends. We were always understanding of wait times due to the size of our party but last night was ridiculous. It was a Sunday night and fairly slow, 9 of us came in at 730pm. We were seated by what we assume was a manager. Then after 15 mins a server finally came to take our orders. She said her shift would be ending soon so she would start us with drinks and apps. And the next server would continue to serve us when her shift started. We received our drinks but no appetizers. Saw the next server come in but continued to be ignored as she talked at the bar and went outside. Finally at about 8:20 she takes our orders. We reorder our apps as they never came as well as our mains. And then we waited and waited.... At about 9 we flag her down and ask how much longer it will be? We explain we have been here for an hour and a half now and still no food. She acts shocked and almost as if she thinks we are exaggerating. We explain weve been there since nice before her shift started. At this point two of our party had left and the rest of us are getting agitated. We ask if are meals can be packaged as we do not have time to eat in anymore, and can we please have our bills. This still takes a ridiculous amount of time. A few from the party went to the bar to pay as they couldnt wait anymore. We ended up leaving at 930 agitated and hungry. Considering we got there at 730... not receiving any food until 2 hours later is ridiculous. Had we stayed to dine we still wouldnt have left till about 10pm. We were largely ignored while patrons of the bar were served, we had to go ask for a refill on our water pitcher ourselves. You would think when a large group comes in you would do your best to serve them as they are bringing in money/tips. But we felt unwelcome. It was a horrible experience and sadly we will no longer be going to this pub.

Didnt really have any food, so just picked 3 stars. Service is very slow. They almost seem like the staff are fighting as to who has to take a new table. If you stand up near the golf game, you may wait forever for someone to serve you. Two guys beside us waited for more than an hour and no service. They were playing the golf game so they were not happy, but okay.
Terrible experience ordered chicken fingers and fries to go I waited 45 minutes the girl never once came over to tell me why my order was taking so long eventually I just left and the food had still not come also they were clearly letting people in without checking Covid vaccination forms stay away

Pretty fun experience. Located off East Mall, the location is convenient and pretty easy to locate. Theyve got a patio too that we didnt try for it was too hot outside - but it looks great. The cocktails were great and the pizza was pretty good - simple and not too greasy. Good place, will definitely come back.

Had to edit my review. I feel like the service here has gotten worse since the new owners took over. Came in after not stopping by for a while. Servers dont acknowledged everyone at the table for orders before walking away. Friends have been seated waiting up to 20mins before being served. What happened here? I use to love stopping by for food, now I feel unwelcome for no reason.
You cant go wrong! Scruffys daily specials are the best. Weve had their wings more than a dozen times. Favourites are: hot honey, pineapple curry or roasted red pepper garlic. Service is a hit or miss, but they try their best!

This is definitely going to be a great local place to have. The staff working here is great and the service is very efficient. The drinks menu has a lot of variety and their selection of beverages is great. I went in for a few drinks and wasnt really expecting anything for the food - but the food is actually pretty good. The wings, fries, pizzas and other appetizers are really good. Will be back, hopefully soon.
At first glance the exterior scene would be something that could draw a few people away from entering but once you enter everything was clean and warm. The highlight here was the wait staff as they were very pleasant and super nice. I had one of their pizzas from the menu and it was delicious but may have upset my stomach a bit because there was some spicy sausage on there. Typically Im good with spice but something didnt sit right. Darts with a lot of fun afterwards, I would definitely go back for a Hangout night and try more things from the menu.

We ll take our money elsewhere. Edit: I can t reply to your note. We sat for at least 10 minutes and the waitress passed us by many times without any acknowledgement. Finally, I asked her if we could order and she said yes, and walked away. We re now at the Canadiana happy we have our drinks in a timely fashion.

I highly recommend this local pub. They provide friendly service at reasonable prices with generous portions. We ve dined in (wings special) as well as picked up take out (fish and chips were very yummy and huge!) and both experiences were so good, I felt compelled to take the time to give a good review. Sorry I don t drink beer so can t comment on the selection.

Visited on Friday November 25 - place was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon. Considering how busy it was we were served beers within minutes of sitting down and food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. Staff was friendly, orders were accurate. No complaints, will definitely return

Great neighborhood place to come for a drink and a bite with a big patio. There is a bartendress that works at Scruffys. I cant remember her name but she has blonde hair and works her tail off.
