Visited Grappa to enjoy some Italian cuisine but arrived without a reservation. We were offered a spot at the bar. One of the staff was very welcoming, helpful and made some good suggestions. However, we did feel a bit rushed throughout the meal by one other staff. The food itself had authentic flavors and well-prepared dishes. Fettuccine Creole was my personal favorite. Also tried Truffle Gnocchi, Rollatini and Fried Calamari. Overall, a good place for quality Italian food, though it may be best enjoyed when you have a reservation and can settle in a bit more.

This place is fantastic! The staff are incredibly attentive and kind. I ll definitely be coming back.

This place exceeded my expectations (I had no expectations and thought it would be an average dinner out). With prices comparable to places like The Keg, Id much rather spend my money here. The service was genuine and warming, not pushy or over bearing in anyways and we felt really well taken care of. The food was good too.Soft and fluffy bread. Had the calamari, short rib and the ravioli - all great. The short rib was delicious, I wish it was a little more tender.My piece had the bone and was abit bigger so that could be why but the risotto served with it was lovely. The sorbet trio was the perfect way to end the rich dinner. Definitely coming back to try other things on the menu.

Was disappointed at their bread, which was or at least felt like factory made, too soft, not authentic Italian bread. I also didnt appreciate their lamb, which was clearly in a freezer and thawed right before our order. The price was very high relative to food qualities.

We booked our anniversary at the restaurant last month and the food was exquisite, the dining experience overall was so pleasant and tasteful too. We already plan to come back here soon, this time with our kids! Daniel, Nelson and Michael were very accommodating and friendly. Parking: Sometimes you can find parking at the front of the restaurant or along the queensway nearby. Kid-friendliness: Took a look at the menu and there are a variety of kid friendly dishes to choose from. The portion sizes are also shareable.

Amazing! They customized my dinner and served it exactly the way I wanted, cod with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Excellent service by the owners themselves. Ill be back!

Attended a 50th birthday party for my niece last night July 31/24, the service was second to none, the appetizers, drinks, table setting and the main meal was absolutely delicious There were 29 guests and all the food was served at the same time, no one had to wait it was absolutely a memorable evening, the dessert was simply divine Daniel and his team and yes they worked so in sync together absolutely a return and spreading the word Bravissimi

The evening was very relaxing and very savory. The appetizers were plenty and we had quite the variety. This did tantalize us completely. Champagne to start and the entre For myself was a Chile Sea bass I cannot express the perfection in presentation as well as taste and quality. I ve never posted a review so the fact that I am posting one says a lot. Horrible experience here. For starters the staff were extremely rude, I ordered chicken and it was undercooked (completely raw in the middle), when I requested a new dish the waitress rudely complied and brought me back the same dish 5 minutes later. I have not experienced such horrible service from a Toronto restaurant in years and I will never return here. Do not go to Grappa. Also, the owners, who I spoke to after the meal, are unprofessional and dissrespectful.

Have been to Grappa numerous times, and every time it s gets better! Food is amazing and so is the service. I want to recommend a menu item but honestly every on the menu is great!

My dining experience at Grappa was second to none! I could not be more impressed with the food and attentive service. I typically glance at reviews prior to eating at a new restaurant. I heard good things about Grappa and they did not disappoint. The menu is on the pricier side, however, if one wants a phenomenal culinary and dining experience, one must overlook the cost, and Grappa offered that experience and then some, in my opinion. I personally would go back there to eat 100 times over!

Upon first seeing the restaurant I thought it was a great place to celebrate a milestone ! The food was good cooked nicely but could have been more flavourful! The service felt extremely rushed and pushy! Multiple time was interrupted while talking to guest at our table! What made me give it a 1 star was the sassy, immature , unprofessional manager that was rude to many of my guest! And greedy enough to ask for more money after I brought 15 guest to his restaurant and gave a set price on a set menu! ! Don t suppport greedy people me myself and my guest will probably never come back here!

I was invited to a private dinner here last night and I must say food 10/10 service 10/10 ambiance 10/10 Joanne the server there was phenomenal. She understood my dietary restriction and was very accommodating. This place is truly a hidden gem!

Had another wonderful dinner at Grappa the other night, everyone is so attentive, the food is incredible, the restaurant is elegant without being stuffy, I dare say it s the Italian gem of Etobicoke!!

Haven t had a worse experience at a restaurant, the owner was extremely rude, racist and disrespectful to not only me but others as well. Food was mediocre nothing special. No one should come here it s a waste of time and money. Owner was yelling at people like he wanted to fight them, weird energy

Strange experience here. The service was overly attentive but I still felt unwelcome. When discussing the dessert, we agreed on the creme brûlée and as the server was leaving I noted to him the vanilla one please . He turns to me and asks, why are you yelling? . I did not think I was yelling.. and I just felt so uncomfortable after that comment. What kind of restaurant wants people to whisper? While the other section of the restaurant with the family-sized long tables were laughing and yelling loudly; having a grand time. Just such weird vibes here. Food is ok not worth the prices. Would not return.

I Dont know where to begin, honestly...because my experience at Grappa has repeatedly exceeded my expectations every time I go. However, I went recently with a group of girlfriends and to say the night overall was amazing would be an understatement. The food was so exceptionally tasteful, flavourful and decedent but the energy and ambiance in the space was so beautifully calming and electric at the same time Daniel is always a pleasure to interact with when Im there, but he truly went above and beyond, topping our table off with some drinks to die for and the hospitality was so appreciated Not only is the space so welcoming and the food so comforting, but the entire staff made us all feel like we could have stayed the whole night there. I cant recommend Grappa enough, if youre debating where to go eat or celebrate any occasion, save yourself the time and take my word for it, go here!

Sunday, February 25th, 2024. 4 of us dined in & the experience was phenomenal! The dishes were amazing, customer service was top notch, the prices were perfect, portions were exquisite. After we finished eating we were given a tour of the restaurant which was extremely kind of them. I would recommend Grappa to everyone because theres nothing on the menu not worth trying & the servers went above and beyond for us which was a magical experience! they also are halal and offered us the halal menu. 5/5 everyone should try Grappa at least once in their life. Their private rooms are a must try as well. Dietary restrictions: they offer halal.

Our server Roberto went above and beyond to make our experience special. The food was also delightful. Roberto s wine pairing (that 2007 brunello) was exceptional and his funny and welcoming banter with us made our visit memorable. Great service, great food and cool ambiance. Last night was my second time visiting, and I had the same appetizer as my first visit the SAUTÉED SHRIMP this time something was off by the time I finished eating I instantly felt like throwing up, I couldn t finish my main course or my drink I went home and ended up having food poisoning I had a fever , kept getting up to use the bathroom I was extremely sick , called to let them know and all they said was thank you for your call , I find that very disrespectful, never going back. My friend is also 7 months pregnant and could of got seriously sick thank God she didn t have any of the shrimp , very disappointed

Top notch Italian restaurant in Toronto. Came here with 5 friends. We ordered a variety of pasta and meat dishes from the menu. None of us were disappointed. The lamb chops were quite good and there was a lot of positive feedback for the shrimp and a scallop pasta dish. Couldnt decide on dessert so they brought out a little bit of everything on a board for us to share. Needless to say, all the items were finished and there were no complaints.

Came here with my mom for a birthday dinner. The owner was around and serving us and was a nice guy. We had apps elsewhere so we came for dinner and birthday dessert :) We both chose the rack of lamb - it was perfect. I got the truffle mushroom risotto as the side and my mom got the truffle fries. Both were good. Some of the alcohol or ingredients for some of the cocktails they didn t have, so choosing a drink was a bit difficult, but he ended up making me something yummy so it was fine. They made a really special birthday dessert tray for me which they only charged for one of the items. It was all yummy. Overall we loved the service and the food.

Went out for my birthday February 3rd and all I have to say is the experience was amazing, and every single member of the weight staff was so professional, so courteous so Welcoming and A pleasure to deal with! The food was honestly mouthwatering! The appetizers were so good! I had the Seabass, which was perfectly cooked and delicious! The food was so flavourful! This restaurant really understands the meaning of flavourful sauces! The way they set up each course was phenomenal!! Everything was above and beyond my expectations.! Must visit!

This is so far the best place Ive ever eaten in Toronto. Is the Hidden Gem of south Etobicoke! The private ambient of the restaurant, the amazing customer service and the flavor and freshness of the food makes Grappa a must go. You will be wishing to know this place before. I definitely recommend Grappa if you want to have an amazing night!

Very good time food is amazing

I visited this establishment during a friends birthday party. A few pre-dinner items included ribs in barbecue sauce, which were a delicious starter. It was mentioned by the waiter that they had a rib dinner that had a different sauce on the regular menu that was fantastic and similar to the appetizer, and if I did not like rice, they would substitute for potatoes, and if I did not like it, they would replace it. Despite my request for the rice to be substituted with the potatoes, they served me the ribs with the rice. It was almost impossible for me to control my gag reflex when I tasted the ribs! The rice was like soup water and the ribs were so bad I was so disappointed. After explaining to them that I couldnt eat my meal, I asked for something else to eat instead. They took my meal and returned to me saying I couldnt switch it since the kitchen was closed. In light of the kitchen being closed, I asked that they remove it from the bill since I now dont have a meal. In their words, since I ordered it, it was not possible for me to take it off my bill. I just left it as that because maybe i was tripping about how bad that food taste went back to sit down. Later finding out that I wasnt the only one that complained about the rib meal, about 4 other people complained about it. Went back to explain that if multiple people are dissatisfied about the same meal they should be replacement. They said they could not replace the order so I asked for my plate back. After asking for my plate back they said they would me make me new ribs .. the first time they didnt want to replace my meal because the kitchen was closed, but now they were going to make me new ribs which I didnt want to eat in the first place . Once I asked them why it was they told me I couldnt have a replacement meal made since the kitchen was closed. However, they are prepared to make me the whole same meal all over again if I want to eat. Just to be clear, I didnt even want the meal, but since I am very upset over the whole situation at this point, i wanted the meal to sit and stare at since it was still gonna be on the bill. The ribs were disgusting to me, and after trying my best to be kind and decent about the situation, I had to kindly tell the staff that I was disgusted with the ribs, and multiple people. During the conversation, one of the employees called me disgusting and yelled in my face, attempting to kick me out of the establishment as he continued to yell at me. As soon as I asked him for his name, he said he didnt have to give it , another employee that I asked for the employers name also decided to hold out on giving it. His name was Daniel and he was apparently the owner. Daniels behavior was undeniably unacceptable. As someone who claims to be the owner, he clearly needs to improve the way he interacts with his customers. Daniels lacks empathy towards his customers instead of understanding their concerns and addressing them in a respectful manner, he was dismissive and hostile towards my concerns. Daniels response further highlighted his inadequate communication skills. Instead of trying to find common ground and resolve the issue, he escalated the situation further, turning it into a heated argument. As the owner, Daniels behavior was completely out of line with what is expected of someone in his position. It would have been my pleasure to send them an email and let them know that I am concerned about Daniels behavior and that he needs to be addressed to improve his communication skills by taking proper steps, but sadly, they do not have an email on their page that they can be contacted through .His lack of professionalism not only undermined his authority. It is important for business owners to demonstrate professionalism in their interactions with customers. It would be my pleasure to give this establishment a -10 out of 10. I would never consider returning to this establishment in the future.

We had our staff Christmas dinner there. The food was not great but I feel that was not their fault because we were over an hour late. Parking: no parking lot and minimal street parking Wheelchair accessibility: one stair to come into the restaurant. bathroom down at set of steep stairs. 2 steps down to a dinning area. no hand rail and steps are very dark.

I cant even begin to explain how amazing the team and experience at Grappa really are. Daniel worked with my boyfriend prior to my birthday, and went out of his way to make my night outstanding. The food was of the best Ive had in any area of Toronto--especially the carpaccio and bolognese. The cocktails were second to none. Many, many thanks to Grappa for an experience Ill never forget!

Had the gnocchi & seabass The food was good. Missing the wow factor, but the quantity was larger than expected. 4/5. Service was great. Lots of servers and the manager came by the table twice. Nice to see that. 5/5. Bar made generous drinks with lots of alcohol in them, which was a huge plus. Unfortunately the two parties had made the atmosphere fairly loud. Doesnt seem to be anything separating the diners with the parties. 4/5. Overall, good spot, but with the prices coming out to $100/person, I have to expect better for the location.

We went there for a dinner celebration for my birthday. The place has a great vibe with cute art work. The service staff was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The food was delicious from wine to dessert and coffee. Would recommend and definitely going back.

Best food drink and service. This place is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Octopus is grilled to perfection. Scallops and all seafood on point. Wine selection is better than most restaurants I ve been to.

Went yesterday for a luncheon after my aunts funeral. The food was incredible- probably the best food I ve ever had - absolutely delicious. The place is so nicely decorated- modern and cosy. The staff was A-1 so so nice. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful experience!

The food was great, portions are large and the service impeccable. They remembered where my family last time sat! We never had to ask for anything because everything was taken care of! They even gave us their amazing sorbet for free. Highly highly recommend it!

What a wonderful place for dinner. Peaceful atmosphere, nice dark themed ambience. Appetizer includes variety of salads, seafood and meat option followed by main dishes. I liked the Atlantic salmon and scallops.

I did a private room for my birthday and the food and service was great. Management also did a great job in making sure we were taken care of throughout the night.

The food isnt the greatest decent for most part but the atmosphere is nice decorated really well a bit cold due to the ac right above your head. Food wise for a high end prices need more flavoring and taste. Portion sizes arent big but prices are. If you there for the low key nice discreet feel and atmosphere its perfect.

Every dish I have tried here has been excellent. Worth every dollar. They make everything on the menu in house; pasta, dessert, bread, balsamic dressing, literally all food! Staff is personable and service top notch. Filling up waters consistently, keeping everything clean, prompt and attentive. I look forward to the next time I m there. We ordered the seafood platter, seabass, lamb chops and pappardelle Bolognese. Everything was so good. Pappardelle was a bit too soft to my liking but the sauce was good. This place is not cheap though. $7/bottle of water. The bill came up to be about $100 pp without alcohol. But they have really good service. Not very busy so we enjoyed the space.

Food is great. Flavors are just so. The bolognese was very savory and the acidity of the tomato sauce brought out the texture of the meats.

Staff was friendly from hello to good bye Service was always in motion. We were taken care of & attended to regularly Food was oh my gosh Fantastic. Four different mains, all were great. As a side note, the Chilean sea bass takes longer to prepare but I well worth the wait.

First time there last night. From walking in, to the exceptional fish plates we had on the the wine and wholes ambiance, was stellar performance by all staff. A thank you the Chef for delicious octopus, etc and, a nice post dinner espresso shot, highly recomended.

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in Toronto. Its a local neighborhood gem for us. All dishes are made fresh to order. And theyre very accommodating. Weve literally never anything we dont love. The smoked chicken and smoked bacon in cream sauce is probably our favorite thing. Although the sea bass is also awesome. Staff is incredibly friendly and make it an amazing experience even if you bring your kids on a busy weekend night. Update: post COVID, the restaurant is as good as ever. Atmosphere exactly as it was before. Prices have gone up a bit, but still a great experience!

I ve been eyeing this restaurant for awhile now and finally had the pleasure of dining here. First and foremost, the service alone will make you want to come back. Every dish arrived in a timely manner and you will never have to worry about your wine glass being empty. As for the food, I ll start with my favourite: the bolognese. I normally do not care for red/rose sauces but this dish has easily become one of my favourites. The sauce was creamy but not incredibly heavy either. The meat to sauce ratio was also great. And the pasta noodles themselves were cooked perfectly Al dente. There s nothing worse than overcooked pasta in my opinion. The penne and seafood pasta were also very good but the bolognese was definitely the star of the show. The Wagyu short ribs with a side of mushroom risotto and greens were fantastic. The short ribs were extremely tender. Lastly, dessert. I m not much of a dessert person myself but when I found out that they bake all of their desserts in house, I had to give it a try. Do yourself a favour and get the carrot cake.

One of the best Italian restaurants in West Toronto. My wife and I felt welcomed from the moment we walked inside. Daniel was the most attentive (without ever being intrusive) server weve ever had. The service is impeccable and our food came out in record time. Highly recommend the scallop appetizer, mushroom risotto with wagyu short ribs to follow and the tiramisu for dessert. This is now our new go-to Italian restaurant.

Impeccable cuisine, went here for the first time and I was absolutely impressed! The food is mouth watering delicious, your drinks never stay empty and the vibe is immaculate! A friend invited us to Grappa on Sunday. First, I was impressed with Daniel and his warm and welcoming demeanour. Then came the food. Adjectives and superlatives other than phenomenal, amazing, Michelin quality and spectacular may be hard to acquire. Would not hesitate to recommend. A must try!

Staff was really courteous and attentive. The food was fantastic - very great. We got the Caesar salad, carpaccio, lamb, gnocchi, crème brûlée & crème brûlée cheesecake. I felt great after and had an enjoyable day overall.

After hearing all the outstanding compliments from my friends and family about this restaurant my friends and I decided to see if it really is what everyone says it is. Coming from personal experience I can say that this is THE BEST Italian restaurant in the city. First off the customer service will make you want to come back again for more, not even mentioning the delicious food menue that is offered. Everything on the menue is a 10/10, also want to add that the food always comes in a timely manner never having to wait an excessive amount of time. I 110% recommend this place to anyone, it will truly be the best restaurant that you have ever been too.

My absolute favorite Italian spot!

First off the vibe when you walk in was incredible. Wine list is great. The beef ribs app was so good we ordered two then all the meals were just amazing!! Definitely a must try and location is great away from the craziness of kings st!

This cozy spot is perfect for a date night or intimate dinner with friends. The service is some of the best I ve had. Daniel is incredibly hospitable and accommodating, and the staff as a whole are all friendly and ready to help. The food was all around great. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend this spot!

Only complaint its a little bit noise you cant really have a conversation but everything else 2 up.

Our group of eight, and was underwhelmed and disappointed by the consistently mediocre service and food. Shrimp and scallops over cooked to the point of rubbery. Brown, withered edges on the salad greens. Servers were young, reasonably keen, but clearly lacking experience and decorum. Given that prices here are higher than just about anywhere in West Toronto, its reasonable to expect exceptional food and service. You wont find it here. Wine prices outrageous, starting at $85 for the least expensive and other wines ranging from $120-$300. Make sure your credit card limits are generous before heading out to this establishment.

Dined here sat Oct 23.. went on a whim and ended up having a great experience.. food and service where both 5*.. I had scallops, beef side ribs and they brought me both a piece of carrot cake and chocolate lava cake which were amazing.. this definitely is gonna be on my regular rotation from now on.. I was very impressed with Daniel and sue who took great care of me given that I was dining alone at the bar. Check it out.. you won t be dissatisfied Returned her on nov 5 and just had to include that dining experience as well.. went for three different dishes (burrata w tomatoes and prosciutto, pasta w bolognese and crème brûlée cheesecake). I make my own bolognese and have ordered in many restaurants but the sauce at grappa was the best I have ever tasted.. the app and desert were also too notch. Prices are what you would expect for a 5* meal so don t go here if you don t want 5* quality

All none less than excellent During this pandemic I only wondered why the guy at reception didn t wear ( or have one at all) a mask.
