946 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8X 2E5, Canada
Spacious Italian spot with a casual vibe, offering a huge menu, wine cellar & lush patio.
Had a work luncheon and we ordered the pizzas, grilled vegetables , grilled calamari and stuffed lobster ravioli. The atmosphere was great and staff were amazing but I found the food to be mediocre. The pizzas were nothing great, just your regular thin crust pizzas. The two large pieces of calamari was good in its sauce. The grilled vegetables was ok in the balsamic drizzle. I think they forgot to stuff the ravioli pasta with the lobster because I didn’t taste any hint of lobster nor did I see anything that resembled anything lobster like. Somewhat mostly disappointed at the ravioli as I imagined it differently…
I recently visited this Italian restaurant for the second time, and I’m sad to say my experience was far from pleasant. The first time I came, the food was decent, but the server was rude and seemed in a hurry. I decided to give it another shot, hoping for a better experience, but this visit was just as disappointing. This time, the server was very nice and attentive, but unfortunately, the manager, Asaar, ruined the experience, spoke to us in a condescending tone and acted in a blatantly racist manner when we were speaking loudly with each other. It's worth noting that the people at nearby tables were also loud, but Asaar chose to single us out and made comments like, "Everyone can hear what you're talking about," despite no one else having issues. When two of our friends decided to join us unexpectedly, Asaar approached them with an unwelcome attitude, almost like she was looking for a reason to cause trouble. We tried to brush it off because it was the holiday season, but this behavior became hard to ignore, especially given the clear racial undertones. Later, another manager did attempt to address our concerns, but it was too little, too late. Based on the rude treatment and the numerous reviews I've seen about similar experiences, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s clear that there are ongoing issues with customer service, particularly in terms of how certain staff members treat their guests. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place unless you want to be mistreated or spoken to in a condescending manner.
Incredible. We decided to visit this location to celebrate after having a rehearsal dinner at the old Mill. The service was top-notch. They were so kind and so accommodating as we have a lot of celiac and dairy free individuals in our family. Parking nearby is a quick walk over to the restaurant. And the food is great, everyone had good things to say!!
Really good authentic Italian place, the food and wine is super delicious. Try the pizza carbonara and thank me later
It's tough to find restaurants that truly care about cross-contamination for those with celiac, and rarer still to find an Italian restaurant with more than gluten-free penne. I had my choice of ravioli, manicotti, even pizza, to name a few things. Everything is clearly marked on the menu. Servers were very helpful. Food was simple, nothing fancy but presented nicely.
Came in today for lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised on how the restaurant was cleaned with enjoyable decorations. We ordered Grilled calamari, Linguine Alla Pescatore and Pizza El Nino Adriano. Amazing taste and Freshly made. The staff were attentive, no need to call them up. Recommend.
Great atmosphere, I felt welcomed in there, especially because the service was amazing, and all the employees were cordial. The food was delicious and came in a big portion. We ordered Gnocchi alla Pesto with cured Italian spicy sausage, Gnocchi alla Gorgonzola, and a Pina Colada. The value was fair for the portion and quality of the food. I'll be coming back for sure!
The restaurant is very beautiful with a lovely ambiance. Absolutely loved their patio. Service was good as well. I found the food to be mediocre… nothing to rave about. The salad was pretty good, but the chicken was tough and the pasta was a bit lack lustre… hard to describe the meal as authentically Italian. The dessert was tasty though!
Worst place to get food, terrible customer service and completely unprofessional staff
Staff is very rude and racist to delivery drivers. If you guys dont like delivery drivers please stop accepting online orders and change your behaviour. Food
good spot with a nice garden in the summer, interior isn t much compared - limited gluten free options but overall tastey
La Veranda Osteria offers a wide range of traditional Italian food, drinks and desserts. The restaurant lives up its name, when the customers feel like home in the cozy ambiance and the service is friendly. If you have a sweet tooth like me, check their massive dessert selection out, my go to is made in house Tiramisu and crème brûle. There are also lots of Gluten-free options. It is truly a gem of the Kingsway and the staple of the neighborhood, just across from Royal York subway station on Bloor. Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Gluten free choices are available Parking: Back door Parking for House Pickup Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Beautiful Cozy Restaurant with awesome food!
I have seen this location everytime I exit the Royal York subway station. They have a large patio for warmer weather. Was surprised at the prices, very reasonable, and service was old school and top notch. Grilled Calamari was a great app to be shared by 2. I will go again
Great food, excellent service, epecialy milena ,she was very polite, smiling and made us feel like home. Way to go milena .
Great options for celiac diners!
Great place to get an authentic Italian meal on Toronto at a reasonable price!
Wildly inconsistent. Sometimes the lasagna is good, sometimes it is a bowl of soup with overdone, literally burnt (black) noodles. Given the price, not worth the risk.
2 members of our party had the salmon salad and both came down with food poisoning. Everything else was great from the service to the ambience but I would definitely avoid the salmon salad, ruined what would have been a great dining lunch experience:
Love this place! its a family owned Italian cousine restaurant. What I love is the variety and truly amazing quality of food, unique atmosphere, and caring professional customer service. Gourgeous, drowning in flowers outside sitting area in the summer and couzy, although spacious indorr area. I love it so much that so far It has been a 13-year year old tradition to celebrate my birthday there with a couple of my close friends. Also, I go there sometimes just to have a cup of coffee and something sweet. La Verandas dessert menue is amazing!!! The prices there are a little higher than one used to pay in a coffee shop or a pub, but its absolutely worth it! This is a classy place with a soul, but much more affordable than restaurants of that food quality downtown. I dont go there just to eat food, it is a wonderful experience all around. When I leave that place, I feel like a million dollars with restored hope for the future! Before going there, especially in the evening, call there first to make a reservation. Its a popular place
Thank you for the wonder job you did with my Dad s funeral luncheon. You were so accommodating to everyone s needs. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. We had several people tell us how lovely everything was. Dietary restrictions: Were able to accommodate gluten free and vegetarian guests with delicious options.
I ordered online a salad Cesar + a carpaccio. I had 5 slice of steak in my carpaccio on an enormous bed of arugula. Olive in there and dressing? Very disappointed for an entree at almost 20$. Lay it on the bottom of a pizza box with parchemin paper would make it look a lot less sad. Ceasar had 5 croutons but at least the portion was not bad. I had pasta there in the past and was satisfied but that was before the recession.
We came here for dinner and were very impressed with the service and quality of food. It was absolutely delicious and the portions were very substantial. We had a little accident with a spilled glass of red wine and the staff were very gracious in how they cleaned it all up quickly and even replaced the spilled glass at no extra charge. They did not make anyone feel embarrassed and went over and above to make sure everything was fine. I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Went for dinner Wednesday evening! Great food! Great service! Lasagna and chicken Parmesan were wonderful!
Lovely food, and the service was phenomenal.
Great Pasta and friendly service
Classic spaghetti and meatballs were insane. Portion size felt like grandma serving you, mangia! mangia!
Excellent fish, friendliness of the waiters and great availability of the owners. Advised!!! Coming from someone in the profession, its worth double
Excellent food and atmosphere. We were delighted with the special care that was taken to accommodate food allergies. Dietary restrictions: Menu highlights gluten free options throughout.
It is old school Italian, table clothes, real napkins and good service. We both ordered the lasagna and thought that it was a good value.
Relaxed atmosphere with lots of space, excellent service and good food. The extra space allows conversation to take place without having to shout throughout the meal!
Tale of two different experiences in the same seating. We went for my mother s birthday. Ordered 3 different appetizers. Bruschetta was decent, meat and cheese plate was okay but the meat, salami and prosciutto were cut thick. The cold fish salad was half okay minus the fact the mussels were expired. The grilled vegetable dish was good. Service started off attentive but after we ordered our mains the server never came back to check up on us. We ordered chicken Gorgonzola (which the chicken wasn t seared nor had any colour. The chicken looked sick. With a gummy chewy texture) the pasta in the gorgonzola sauce that accompanied it was nice. My child ordered the gnocchi with cream sauce, it was middle of the road. Pro tip, don t over work your flour/potato in prep because the gnocchi will become dense, which it was. The grand finale was a pizza with arugula and prosciutto(same thick cut as the app) which I tell you should ve been a crime to call it a pizza. More so a cracker. When we couldn t find our server because I guess the step of service there isn t 2 mins 2 bites, another server passed by. As I finally got the attention of another server a blonde hair tattooed woman and told her we didn t like the dish I was told You must ve never had that pizza, that s how it s supposed to be served and just walked away with a look on her face as if I bothering her. I can assure you that a ritz cracker had more fluffiness than this pizza . I think I ve never left a tip so low in my entire existence in the restaurant industry. I even feel bad I left $10. Not only will I not return but I will make sure I will speak ill will of this establishment any chance I get for how little that server cared to try and make it up and lack of care she showed to try and make it better.
We came and told the server that we don t have any reservations but just want to have a coffee and leave right away. The place was not busy at all that time. A lot of free tables. And they said we can t have a table for just a coffee.
Good food.
Nice family restaurant perfect place to with your family
Rude waitstaff overshadowed the meal.
Absolutely vile food. There was a plastic piece in my food order. Would never order food from here again.
Had a horrible experience with my food the staff was very rude and the service was too slow.
Found a hair in my takeout
An amazing restaurant to dine in and order out. Even when busy Its still 100 and worth the wait and price. A solid place with great drink selections as well
We experienced a wonderful Fathers day dinner with delicious food and excellent service... UNFORTUNATELY BADLY DISRUPTED BY PET OWNERS ON THE PATIO WHO WERE UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO KEEP THEIR DOGS FROM BARKING.
First time visiting and definitely wont be the last! The food was perfection! Five of us and no one was disappointed. From the complimentary rolls, ceaser salad, steaks, pasta through to desserts. Every bite was scrumptious! The tiramisu was best I ever had. Portions were very generous. Service was exceptional! Very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend
Tagliatelle is
Very disappointing experience. The restaurant is very old, the terrace is very nice, but inside everything is very outdated and old fashioned. Food is not great. Pasta is very poor. I paid 22$ for pasta and additionally 10$ for 5 awful shrimps ( they were definitely frozen before and prepared really bad) . Pasta was ok, but nothing special. Wine was tasty and not overpriced. Not recommended.
Food was cheap, price/quality on par. Service not great. Restaurant quiet on a Saturday night. Don t recommend.
FOOD IS AMAZING AND THE PASTA AND MEATBALLS IS HUGE AND ALSO AMAZING
The food was great and the service was amazing!
THAT Italian restaurant you want to bring people to when they want to truly enjoy quality Italian food. Could not have been happier.
Went there for a family lunch and was positively surprised with the overall experience. Food tastes really authentic with fresh and quality ingredients. The place is spacious and kids friendly.
Amazing food and equally pleasant service! Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area!
The food was smelling and in pathetic condition.customer service is dead and very rude staff.I do not recommend.Worst experience.
If you want the feel of an authentic Italian restaurant come here. The atmosphere is always upbeat and pleasant. The wait staff are helpful and organized and the food is absolutely amazing. They treat every table with fine dinning etiquette, changing your cutlery, dishes and plates between courses. Every interaction with the staff is accompanied with a smile. Great date night spot it you want to chat with your partner, eat amazing Italian food and walk away with some $$$ left in your pocket. But dont tell anyone, save this spot for yourselves. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free items Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessible main floor, patio and restroom.
I have been in twice in both times. I had the linguine pescatore both times which I found very enjoyable. service was good and I liked the large tables for two
You feel at home, delicious food!
Love the restaurant. My wife and son are celiac and have never had issues here either dine in or take out. Highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: Amazing for celiac
Very pleasant Italian restaurant. Service was very good, prices reasonable...overall a very nice experience ko
Food is cold, service is bad and waiters are very rude
Good food right price
Very good food, great prices! Love it here especially in the summer on their lovely patio.
Second visit. Another great dining experience. Reasonable pricing.
I am gluten free and they had great options nice little spot to eat
Very annoying waiters(
Classic Italian restaurant, warm, family atmosphere. The service is incredible and the food is excellent. Would highly recommend.
First time here and loved it. The food was great. Dessert menu awesome (totally recommend the one in a coconut), calm and luxury atmosphere, and superb service. And all for really a decent price. We will be back.
Dietary restrictions: Many good options for gluten sensitivity Food
Always a great experience at this restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly, food is delicious and prices are very reasonable. We first came here a few years back for my summer birthday and ate on the patio which was full of lush plants. This time we went for New Years Eve dinner and ate inside. They gave all of the guests party hats and noise makers to take home which was a really nice touch. The penne a la vodka is amazing! Also really enjoyed the desserts.
Ive been so many times and ordered takeout, delicious every time. My two suggestions is to not cook the main until the app is out( twice, my pasta was sitting waiting to be served and wasnt as hot) and the ladies favourite on the takeout menu being salad and light and healthy is a bit offensive. We love pasta and pizza too. Wheelchair accessibility: Bathroom on same floor, other bathroom downstairs
Delicious food and awesome staff . You will not be disappointed
Food is fantastic. They have an amazing team of staff members who are so kind and friendly.
Excellent food and service. Always my go to for Italian in Toronto.
The food was amazing. We had linguini allw vongole and stuffed pasta with lobster and it was delicious. Lychee martini and Negroni. The service was simply fenomenal. All the staff is very polite, professional, friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the service, very hard to come across a service like that. They have a big range of types of food in the menu, very different from majority of places. Definitely to go with family, friends or loved ones. Fancy atmosphere. Theres is parking close by, easy to access. Loved it!
A nice family atmosphere, good service, and great food. The only thing I didnt like was the bread, it wasnt fresh and shockingly it came inside a plastic bag, not the kind of presentation you expect at an Italian restaurant.
first time with my wife to visit this restaurant and food is amazing , Cannelloni to die , so good , dessert are just awesome to finish that beautiful dinner , 100% going back there , great service , they treat you with respect , not like most of other restaurant
So beautiful.... the food, the place and the people! Will be back ASAP
Ive genuinely cried over how good this place is as a celiac person. They catered to my dietary restrictions (non dairy also) in such a loving and easy way. There were no hoops to jump through to be able to eat a delicious, incredible gluten and dairy free pasta!! Service is absolutely incredible, perfect, sweet, nice!!! Food is out of this galaxy good!!! Will be back MANY times!! Vegetarian options: Several pasta options without meat + salads Dietary restrictions: They can substitute almost any pasta for gluten free, they have delicious gluten free bread and pizza!
Staff very friendly and professional! Food is delicious! It went above my expectations. The best Gnocchi I ve ever had! Highly recommend this place for a real Italian food
Great atmosphere & friendly service.
Great restaurant with really great location. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. Had a great time with the family and the food was really great!
La Veranda has a nice little patio set up during the spring/summer days. There are new dessert options. The pistachio tartufo, thats imported from Italy is delicious.
Great food
Great menu, chefs daily specials, good cocktail and spirts menu to choose from, and the service was excellent!! Ordered grilled calamari as a appetizer, chefs special angel hair pasta was delicious, and the tiramisu was amazing!! I will be back, thank you La Veranda staff!
The food was amazing the service was terrible!
Nice patio, huge menu, good food and excellent service. I ve been going for years and it s consistently good each time. While their patio does face Royal York and can be a bit noisy during evening rush hour it has a nice privacy screen around it which creates visual distance at least and a cozy atmosphere. They have a good list of wines by the glass at reasonable prices and a nice and varied menu that will be sure to appeal to even the pickiest eaters ( excellent salads, pastas, pizzas and numerous other main courses featuring fish and meat). The service is always efficient and helpful as well.
Absolutely excellent stuffed Lobster pasta, beautifully flowered patio. Tony and staff were spot on with service and friendliness. Well located across from Royal York Station. Inside dining preferred, street noise was loud, but was tolerable. Great wine selection as well. Absolutely recommend this lovely place for any occasion. Thank u everyone for a great afternoon.
Overall, nice spot for the summer -- good overall was okay, but had a nice feel and staff and friendly.
Four of us had dinner there on Saturday. We sat on the patio and the food and service were great. A nice traditional Italian restaurant!
Went for team dinner the food was excellent, fresh and hot. Appetizers were very good as well. Planning on going back with family. Food
So I got terrible food poisoning from this place almost missed a week of work because of it. Had the baked ravioli first of all it tasted like it was frozen (and they say it s fresh) and the tomato sauce was on the sour side and I m Italian so I know what authentic pasta tastes like lol only reason why I went was for a friends birthday but anyway secondly the server was extremely rude and when I d ask her a question she just looked at me and then looked at the next person to ask what they wanted as if I was an inconvenience to her. Never will go back to this place never will recommend anyone here and whoever says this place is 5 stars in these reviews clearly has BAD taste in food or is pure Canadian cause they clearly don t know what Italian food is supposed to taste like.
Always a great meal and experience.
This was my first time going with my husband and our son ,food was amazing service was beyond great had a great time very friendly atmosphere very clean ,We would go back again highly recommended!!!
Awesome dining experience !
Dropped in to La Veranda on a whim while in the area. The food was great and the staff was super friendly. The outside patio is beautiful and even though its near semi-busy street the garden blocked the street and noise. Will be going back soon.
Extremely disappointed. The restaurant is overly expensive. We were there for a birthday and the manger tricked us & served wine even though the deal was made without alcohol. We ended up paying way more than expected. Wouldn t recommend this place at all!! Manager is very sneaky
Not as glam as I thought. Staff are interesting Food is good Food : 3/5
Poor service, extremely rude staff theres an old male working in this place in pickup section hes extremely rude & doesnt have any idea how to deal with people
I ordered their Eggplant Parmesan and I have to say it s the worst Eggpant Parmesan and garlic bread I ve had. No care was put into making the food. The food was so bland I had to season the Eggplant Parmesan myself. Not herbs or spices was no where to be found. Not a single parsley, basil was in it. I was beyond dissatisfied. I wanted to throw out the food, but I didn t because it cost me $30. They should not be selling Italian food if they can t capture the taste of the food
Terrific restaurant great service accompanied by amazing food highly recommended
Excellent place to take the family. Staff are so kind and friendly. Tons of food options and accommodating. Bravo
Awesome food tastes like homemade food form nonas kitchen amazing atmosphere super nice service ... The staff so nice the place impecable .... I felt like I was eating by the Mediterranean sea. .... Exquisite food unforgettable experience will definitely come back ....what a blast
My sever wasn t smiling AT ALL and just staring at me for not ordering enough for myself. I could literally felt that. Their patio looks so great, I ve been wishing to go for months, but this will be my last time visiting. Horrible.
A great joint to take the family. Service was A+ in so many ways. Thank-you! Will return.
Great dinner experience. Food was absolutely delicious and the staff were extremely helpful in assisting us make our dining choices.
Excellent food. Food served very quickly. Simply perfect
Good homemade pasta at a reasonable price. Very pleased.
Food was good, great pricing, nice atmosphere, but the servers were extremely nice! Will come again
Ordered through Ubereats, but the experience was disappointing. I tried the gluten-free gnocchi with tomato and basil, and after just a few bites, my body reacted to the spoiled food. At first, I noticed the food didn t taste fresh, and my gut feeling urged me to stop eating. However, due to hunger and a long wait, I reluctantly continued. Regrettably, I suffered food poisoning shortly after, lasting for several days, though fortunately not severe. As a customer, I urge the establishment to prioritize food safety. Additionally, the gluten-free bread was tough to eat. On top of these issues, the prices were unreasonably high. Please consider improving the quality and safety of your offerings.
My wife loved the bathroom, wonderful atmosphere, great food and fare prices.
Ordered from door dash I got spaghetti and meat balls. Pasta was over cooked ( could be from travel) meat balls could have passed for baseballs Ceaser salad was great
Delicious food but very heavy on the garlic. We were a group of five and it had a lovely time. Did not feel rushed. Only problem is you cannot get separate bills and that creates mayhem. Entirely unnecessary in todays age.
Worst service Worst food Food
This is an excellent Italian restaurant with a very good menu, good wine selection, excellent service and delicious food!
Great food and services!
Unfortunately we were very disappointed by this upleasent experience. We ordered mussles w/ basil, garlic and tomato sauce and gnocchi w/ gorgonzola. Our mussles and the sauce smelled. So we ended up tossing it away as we didnt want to get sick. Gnocchi didnt look or taste Italian at all, but more like Polish gnocchi instead. They were doughy and heavy, seems more flour than potato was used in during preparation, if that is, potatoes were actually used; perhaps they were bought from somewhere and simply smothered in sauce. - sorry, Regards,
Went with my daughter at 6:30 pm to find that we are ALONE having dinner Wednesday 02-02-2022. She ordered grilled calamari and a salad, the moment they put the dish on the table the smell of rotten fish overwhelmed our nose. My dish was pasta with seafood in white wine sauce, tasteless, unappetizing presentation, 2 shrimp, one clam, and crab leg the size of a 3 inch pencil and 2 scallopsthe size of a pencil eraser. . The pasta is cooked in water without salt..literally has no taste. Bread basket was 2 mini Baggett cold wrapped in cling film and butter. We said that we are not going to eat this food. . She came back later and said no charge but the food is fine. She was total dizaster from A to Z. What a dizaster. Shame on them.
The BEST Caesar salad I have ever eaten. Incredible, year after year. Thank you.
Great food and the staff is super caring and sweet! I will definitely go back!
One of our favourite Italian restaurants. Delicious food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Its like going to Italy to dine.
Unbelievably tasty. We have ordered from here before and will continue to do so. It arrives hot and in great condition. Gnocchi in Gorgonzola is amazing. Good portions and reasonably priced.
Kisses to the chef this was delicious
I was yesterday in Veranda Osteria after a long hiatus. I remember this place for exceptional service. Sadly what I experienced yesterday was a big disappointment. Before meal came bread with butter. It was brought in a plastic bag like you would buy in the supermarket. Then came pizza focaccia con Arugula e Prosciutto. A dough was as hard as a cracker. Literally it was cracking. Is it that type of pizza but there was no base and arugula and prosciutto was not sticking to the dough and was falling off into my plate as I lifted a slice (not really a slice, a solid triangular cracker). Ive never seen anything like that. It was as cold as you can imagine like it didnt come from the oven. Is it covid that changed the character of this place or that I came around 8pm and kitchen closes at 8:30? And they were unable to make a good pizza in a short time? Total was $90 and I left 15% tip and I didnt complain but food was terrible. Looking back I regret I didnt bring this up whole I was there
A quality restaurant with great gentile service as well as great value. The chicken with spinach is delicious. Our go to restaurant in Etobicoke.
Bread was served in a plastic bag. I had the special, veal, chicken and pasta. The meat portions were small, and had a bit of a rubbery texture. I would compare this to over priced cafeteria food.
Ambience is great, food is good. Desserts are awesome. Servers are great...
Staff not the nicest. Warm beer, half foam. Pizza wasn t good at all. Overall poor experience.
Love this place. The salmon salad was good and light. Caprese salad, cant go wrong. I love plain old butter with bread, love me some carbs. I also had the fettucine alfredo pasta with chicken and it was yummy, the chicken had grill marks and it was oh so tasty and abundant. I took the rest home to heat up later, haha! Looking forward to more visits here as the service is always good, every server I had was delightful and pleasant and laid back.
Good location. Decor needs a refresh.
Amazing service food and cappuccino!! Love the Italian music that plays!prices are very reasonable and food is fresh. The staff is very friendly and gives great recommendations
Used them many times for large parties. And been for large parties. Lots of delicious food. Staff is always helpful. Placed in a great neighbourhood
I really expected more from this restaurant, I had wanted to go for a long time, but the truth was it was not a great meal, I have eaten better pasta, I would not go again, I have eaten much better for less price
I love this restaurant. Grt food grt atmosphere wonderful service
Great place to have Italian. The service was amazing and the server gave some great suggestions for vegetarian options.
Amazing food and service. They even ran after us after we forgot our takeaway bag. Thanks again!
The lasagna is a definite must try!!! Absolutely de-lish!!!
Good service, food hit the spot and we were left alone to catch up on
Poor food. Ravioli with rose sauce had a thick red sauce and the ravioli was something I can get from metro. Not worth it at all.
I am a regular there.. during the pandemic, I ordered a lot of UberEats from them too. (even in takeout, the food quality remains hot and fresh)
I ve dined here a handful of times over the years and let s just stay I ve walked away with food poisoning 4 times. Read the reviews and simply avoid.
Food was delicious but pricey Good customer service
Service was excellent plus our waitress was very knowledgeable. Food you was very good and done to perfection plus a good quantity had to take some home. Are inside where atmosphere was very lovey Would highly recommend this restaurant. Pricing was quite reasonable. Would definitely return.
La Veranda Osteria is a nice restaurant they have friendly staff and the food is really yummy if theres something that you do not like like Chili Peppers or something that you might be allergic to they will customize it for you. Only thing that is a little bit bothersome as they dont have their own parking space so you will have to park by the Royal York subway station parking lot and of course paid for parking but you should give La Veranda Osteria a shot they have really good food
Mediocre food, not going to go back
They close very early and have no way about telling you times up
Always amazing...friendly staff and delicious food.
What a great meal. Had the steak with peppercorn and mushroom cream sauce (veggies and potato). Absolutely delicious. Was joined by my wife and kids and everything we ordered was perfectly done. The servers were awesome. Great sense of humor and very friendly. The one server (I think his name was Za Za) was new but is a great addition to the staff there. I wish I new the 2nd servers name but unfortunately cannot remember. Have been there on several occasions and have been happy every time. Well worth the visit
Beautiful and warm place to go for dinner/lunch. Excellent service by the waiters. The chicken parmesan and tiramisu, out of this world. Must try.
Wonderful outdoor patio. Excellent service. The Caesar salad & La Veranda Antipasto were fantastic sharing apps. I decided on the Zuppa di Pesce - very delicious! Would definitely return.
Excellent food and service. Great selection of Italian food. Cant wait to go back and try the homemade Gelato.
The food was overpriced i payed 20$ for half potion of penne and 5 shrimps. 30$ for pasta filled with lobster that didnt even eat because had an aftersmell wich neither me or my wife could eat and the waitress didnt even asked for a feedback on why we didnt touched the pasta.
Food really fresh. Good food prices. Very reasonable wine prices.
Good food and drink, very good and friendly service.
The waitress handed my friend and I the bill without even asking us if we wanted anything else after we finished our meals. We felt rushed even though: a) There were many empty tables b) We were not there for more than 40 minutes c) In any event, customers, specifically those who are quiet and do not display any unruly behaviour, are not to be rushed. Period. On a separate note: The food was good, but not great. I kept seeing transparent containers of sauces brought in and out of the restaurant which brings me to believe a lot of the food was pre-made. But again, that is my belief based on what I saw.
Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Minestrone soup marked as vegetarian on menu. Luckily I checked as she advised it was vegetarian. I said the broth ? She said chicken stalk . How in the world can any restaurant these days be so Ill informed of importance of ensuring food items are labelled properly?!?! Not just for food preferences but for allergies! I am a vegan and so upset because I ate this soup the last time and the server assured me it was vegan. When I advised the owner of this last night she literally could have cared less and simply said the menu is old . No care for clients personal beliefs and certainly no care for clients safety as if I had an allergic reaction and sued the restaurant she might start caring then. This is the difference between a business who values and respects their clients and one who simply exists. Cooks not chefs . And unprofessional in their chosen profession. I won t be back and will advise every vegetarian and vegan group to stay away.
We came upon this place by accident. It was truly the very inviting patio that drew us in. The service was exceptional and the food was great, the pasta was better than the pizza. They have a very good wine menu. And the prices are accessible.
Consistently great food. Service is quick, as you have no assigned server, so everyone is willing to help. However this can mean less personal service.
Early dinner and excellent pasta
A perfect place to bring guests
Our go 2 place for yummy Italian take out!
An utterly enjoyable lunch. Warm service, excellent food.
Excellent for a group - love the food and service here
The food was not cooked to well asked for a steak to be cooked a certain way they had no clue the pasta was under cooked and the sauce was bland with no seasoning like they opened up a can of tomato sauce and put it on under cooked pasta the other things I ordered should have had melted cheese they could not even get that right I will not be coming back to this poorly developed resouraunt
Clean and fair price
Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options, and other allergies mixed, service handled it very effectively and with great care Food
Great food and service!!! Wonderful covered patio.
Great food, great service, great patio
First visit at this casual and spacious Italian eatery Gamberi Provinciale was delicious.Gnocchi al Pomodoro also delicious..Service was attentive ..thank you Iwona our waitress assigned to my table.Definitely will return...FYI ..bar menu reasonably priced.
Food came really fast which made me think something was not right and I was right. Food was bland, tasteless and I definitely wont be ordering again.
Four of us came to celebrate friends birthday . Great food, excellent service, restaurant very cozy and comfortable. Enjoyable evening! We are looking forward to our next visit.
Absolutely delicious! The Gnocchi alla Gorgonzola is to die for, the creme brulee spectacular. Service is great... cant say enough good things about this place
Great kitchen, amazing helpful staff, reasonable pricing for quality.
I ordered angel hair pasta from uber eats, no meat just tomato sauce. In the notes I added to ensure to include parmesan cheese, which comes with all pasta except seafood pasta in pasta/Italian restaurants world wide. After I put in my order the restaurant added $4 for the parmesan cheese. I called to talk to the owner, he thinks its fair to pay $30 for the most basic pasta ever made!!!! And $4 extra for parmesan is fair.
Amazing food and staff, Thank you..
The meat lasagna was decent with two caveats. There were too many layers of pasta with thin layers of ground beef+sauce (There was cheese sprinkled on top). No whole wheat pasta option available
Humorous waiter, and tasty lasagna and desserts -- thank you. (Aug 2019 dine-in experience.) Their food quality during COVID is as good as ever. (Oct 2021 takeout.)
Lovely place. Hostess was amazing and accommodating. The staff was wonderful, so kind, and attentive. Had the lobster stuffed pasta which was delicious and had more lobster than I anticipated. Side note it s 1$ for extra bread, and patio has a few less flowers and is right beside a bus stop. Overall wonderful experience
Great service. Excellent food - every time.
