Neapolitan-style pizza & other Italian comfort fare offered in a laid-back, warm atmosphere.
We had an amazing meal here with the family! We started with the Calamari Grigliati, and it was cooked perfectly—so tender and full of flavour. For the mains, we went with the Vesuvio Pizza and Orecchiette e Salsiccia Pasta, and both were incredible! The pizza, made by Godvan, had the perfect crust, and the pasta was rich and so satisfying. We finished with the Panna Cotta, and it was the perfect dessert—creamy, light, and delicious. Tabar, our server, was so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The food and service were both top-notch. Can’t wait to come back with the family again!
Love this pizza spot! Delicious! 🤤 Their arancini balls are good. Quick and friendly service. Nice atmosphere with a patio.
NOT A PLACE TO ORDER PIZZA First time to this place. It’s a nice place offering Italian food. The food was below average. Pizzas were burnt from the bottom and pasta had too much salt. On complaining about pizza, we were offered a replacement pizza. Unfortunately it was also burnt from the bottom and the cheese was undercooked. On our reaction to it, we were told ‘it is very hard to make a pizza that is not burnt’. Otherwise the service was excellent. Both the servers were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was okay. It’s difficult to find a parking spot nearby.
3 of us ordered pizzas, 1 ordered the gnochhi. 2 of the pizzas were brunt from underneath and were extremely salty, the gnocchi was overly salty as well, the third pizza was bland. The server apologized and replaced the pizza for another, free of charge, but the fresh new pizza was also brunt from the bottom and undercooked from the top.
We came to the place at 7PM to get pizza for dinner (to go order). We were informed by staff members that it takes 15-20 minutes. It was ok for us. We ordered oro pizza to go. We waited outside for the order. When we came in for pick up- one of the staff members said that they didn’t receive our order. We were asked to wait (again) about 10 minutes. We had no choice we already paid. No apologies, no compromise.. It was my first time in your restaurant.. Be more responsible with orders. All the best! P.s pizza is tasty!)
A real neighborhood gem! I haven’t been here for a few years but visited last night after Cirque du Soleil and was reminded how incredible the food is here. I had the Pollo Agli Gnocchi and it was wonderful. I am pleased to see my faves are still on the menu and I definitely won’t be waiting years to come back again.
Vibe was good, servers looked already tired (7pm), i can feel they weren’t happy but this didnt really bother us because the unhappy look wasn’t towards us. Everyone has tiring days it just happened to be both of the servers there looking tired at the same time. Burrata was amazing 🥰 with fresh tomato slices and pesto sauce. Margherita pizza was great but the eggplant pizza was burnt at the bottom that i was only tasting burnt bread…. But they made us another one and the new one was super fresh and fired great! Though, I’m not too sure if the dough was prepared right. Even though they have the brick oven, their pizzas didn’t have the big bubbles on the crust and the center of the circle was too thick. The right Napoli pizza should have moist and thin center so when you lift the slice up the pointy part should hang loose. It was nice to try their pizza though.
Whenever we travel, whether it be a roadtrip to Toronto or a vacation to France, we like to find unique local restaurants to enjoy a little of wine and food 😊. On Wednesday, we were in Mimico (south Etobicoke) and found this neighbourhood pizzeria with an authentic Neapolitan Pizza Oven and a nice Italian wine list. We had their Vesuvio and Diavola pizzas. Both were excellent with properly Italian thin crusts blistered in their wood oven. The wine pairing, chosen from their short, well priced list, was a Pinot Nero (aka Pinot Noir) from the Alto Adige region of Italy. We finished with a dish of chocolate gelato and an espresso. The service was friendly and attentive. Also of note, it was filling up with locals on a Wednesday night, which is always a good sign of a place where you should have dinner. Off the beaten track in Toronto, but a really enjoyable dining experience!
Pizzeria Oro Di Napoli is priced very fairly as opposed to other Italian restaurants, the Service was absolutely perfect. The Polpette, Tiramisu and Cheesecake were very delicious. The Margherita pizza wasn t cooked to true Neapolitan fashion, however the ingredients, dough and overall taste was very nice. The same can be said about the oro. In my opinion with a couple tweaks to the making of the pizza, it can be one of the best spots. Overall 8.5/10 for the restaurant and 7.5 for the pizza
Italian pizza made as it should be and very kind staff! recommended
I usually dont leave comments on google but this time I got really angry because of the staff, the lady needs to improve herself more, food was okay
Thought I would give this another try, since I live close by. The first time I ate here I was not impressed. The servings were small, child size. Went here tonight again, this time I got take out. I m still hungry! The serving size is horrible! The food itself isn t the greatest either! Food
Read some reviews about the place and how it wasn t upto the standards but went there recently and the whole place is turned around. It s really good to see the management listening to their customers concerns. They have added a new menu with a lots of specials everyday and choices for every diet. It s good to see a neighbourhood gem working its way up. Vegetarian options: They have few really good vegetarian pasta and pizza and servers always offer to modify it to vegan or GF (if possible) I like to have that option in my diet. Dietary restrictions: They take care of allergies and make sure prepare food as per the guests preference. Kid-friendliness: They have 2 kids pasta options that work great for sharing among kids and Margherita Pizza is mostly loved by kids. They also offer to modify menu items for kids with less spice and add/remove items.
Great restaurant and my go to pizza place
I ve had better
the food looks good but the taste lowered my expectations. the pizzas arrived cold and not salty at all, the dough was too wet, tiramisu too dry, cannoli is not a cannolo starting from the stuffing
Pizza was pretty good menu looks amazing.
Such a beautiful date night spot! Love the Neapolitan style pizza here
Service was good for the take out but very disappointed in the thin crust pizza I ordered. Instead of thin crust pizza what I found when I opened the box at home is a large pita bread with marinara sauce on it. Definitely not thin crust pizza as I know the difference between a pita bread and thin crust pizza.
I enjoyed the pizza here. Neapolitan Pizza from a wood fired oven with tasty ingredients. The pizza had good char and foldability with a bit of crispness, generous toppings. Only food snobs would take issue with the pies they served yesterday. Got the pollo al pesto pizza and a veg pizza, and the fine tiramisu with a gooseberry. Im glad this place exists in this neighborhood and expect to repeat visit. Good service too.
This is my second time, great food and amazing service, I am going back and I taking other friends
Great experience
Delcious pizza and lots of choices!
I can t figure out why this place doesn t have people busting down the door to get in?! The first thing you get is slapped in the face with the smell, ( I m back in grandmas kitchen) my mouth starts to water. I walk to the bar to order a take away pizza and fall in love with their real wood burning oven, I m already a fan and I haven t eaten yet. The pizza is perfect, I want to cry and dance ! This place is a must , order anything it s all good . !
Always has been a great experience. We most recently got the large platter/charcuterie board, and it was huge with so many wonderful selections! Great value for good food.
The pizzas are authentic! Feels like we re back in Italy when we come and eat here.
Food quality has gone down over years. Not great and use a lot of salt! Only two tables in restaurant at 7:30 pm on a Friday
OK so Ive experience many wood oven pizzerias in USA, Mexico, Italia(Napoli, Forcella, Matera, Messina, Catania). When compared to pizza in Italy, Oro di Napoli is 2/10. However when compared to other Pizzeria, in the greater Toronto Area it rates an 6.5/10. The sauce on the Margherita is not San Marzano 100% but rather a passata thats good quality. The cheese not exactly fiore di latte comparable to Italia. Lastly Oro di Napoli on Lakeshore, South Etobicoke are not cooking the pizza properly. The bottom is much too burned. The pizza should have mild black charr on crust and underneath. But here at Oro di Napoli its a black burn through of the dough entirely. 80% of the pizza has black char burn. I would suggest they use a tray for a better balanced burn underneath. Lastly I noticed the pizza maker scratching his nose and touching his mouth when talking to other employees. He didnt wash his hands and did not use gloves. He also wasnt wearing a chefs hat. I hope they acknowledge this review and exercise better fundamental hygiene practices in their establishment. It appears majority of Oro di Napoli business is take out/ skip the dishes. Therefore the food handling aspect is not realized by surrounding condo dwellers. Unfortunately since Ive had much better, I will not be returning to Oro di Napoli of Lakeshore near Parklawn, South Etobicoke.
Hi everyone, I didn t visit this restaurant because of some comments about this restaurant. I would like to mention 2 comments that they took pictures of people who work there like without there consent or permission I don t think that s cool and I don t feel comfortable that s the reason. Imagine they file complaint against you guys. Use your brain ) Sorry if I m wrong
Great food and great service. Highly recommend!
Good pizza, tasty
Server forgot to enter our order. Called her over and she brought the menu to take our order . She did not remember she already took our order 30 minutes earlier. Great laugh at the incompetence. We live within walking distance but not going back.
Food was absolutely amazing! Service on the other hand was non existent. Placed our whole order (drinks and mains) at the same time as we were in a bit of a rush, food came out first then our drinks as we were eating our meal. Asked for the bill waited 10 minutes then I had to go find our server to pay. Forgot to take the beer I cancelled for taking too long off of my bill so had to wait for that to be fixed. Just wasn t a great experience.
Excellent food and drinks although service is disorganized I really didn t want my app served as I was starting my cocktail nor did I want my main while I was eating my app.
Waited an hour, server forgot to put in our order. Pizza was burnt. Go elsewhere.
Really good Neapolitan pizza. Small and cozy place with a large patio in the summer.
The pastas I have tried are great, exquisite flavor!!!
5 stars for the food ! Very flavourful. Mike our server was amazing! I will be in again and again
Pizza - neopolitan Margherita was great calamari (grilled and crispy) - cooked perfectly lamb ragu pasta - noodles great, lamb ragu LOTS yummy carbonara - tasty but could be creamier Steamed sea bass - fresh and yummy! Tiramisu and canoli - excellent Location - parking was easy Service - excellent!!! Highly recommended
Favourite local Italian! Always good food, usually good service.
I went for dinner with friends after a round of disc golf and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Im a vegetarian and ordered almost everything that didnt have meat - all of it was phenomenal. Loved the specialty pizzas and food was affordable. Love your pizza oven. Thank you and will be back again :)
The best spaghetti carbonara Ive had in the GTA, I highly recommend it!
Wow! Just received my Uber eats order and blown away by the flavour and quality. The best Italian food I have had in Canada. Cant wait to visit the resturant in person one day soon and tell every person I know !
Amazing food with a cute, cozy interior. We had shared a pizza & mussels and they were both top notch!
They guys have zero service.
Great service but poor food. Unfortunately, it fell very short of expectations. Italian food may be simple, but quality needs to be exceptional. Not everyone knows how to pull it off. Not only was this a miss, but it was not even in the ballpark.
Pizza was very delicious (I m the fan of thin crust) and the service was very attentive.
Delicious - one of the best margarita pizza s I ve ever had. Will definitely be reordering.
2024 Jan. - Our dinner food was very very good, exceptional in fact. Salads and pizzas soooo tasty 10/10. Our waitress was beyond kindness and patience and efficient with everything. Lovely restaurant too. Youll have to hunt around for parking. Thank you for a fantastic evening.
Ordered a Martini, standard should be around 3 oz but I probably got only 1.5 oz. My dinner companion even made a comment upon seeing my drink Wheres the rest of it? - Times are tough but I dont get this type of management... If customers have a negative experience, they just dont come back. Youll just get less and less business as word travels, and the financial situation will just get worse. The pizza was dry too. Im no Italian, but Im pretty sure toppings are not supposed to be sitting on a base equivalent to 1 ply toilet paper.
We really enjoyed the pizza here. Our food came out fast. Totally felt like we were back in Napoli again!
Solid 4.0 for delicious pizza, great services
Pretty good place.
The charcuterie platter (I think its called the Gold Platter) was enormous & had a bit of everything. We loved it.
LOVED the crust on the pizza!
Food is good, but not incredible. There are better options in the neighborhood. We generally find ourselves ordering here for one of two reasons: (1) my wife prefers their seafood pasta dish, or (2) as a last resort because other options are unavailable (closed, holiday, etc) for whatever reason. EVERY TIME I order, I regret it. Every time. They pick times out of hat, on average it takes at least an hour to get your food! Is it worth the wait? Nope. They ve mistakenly added allergens - though specific requests were clearly made upon order - in the past, on multiple occasions. Time goes by, and I keep thinking, things must have changed. They have not, which is why I m leaving this review. For would-be customers: there are better options (850 Degrees Pizzeria, Cellar Door, Pulcinella, etc); if you d like average Italian it ll do; you will wait a long, long time for your food; and, expect your order to be wrong.
Rude and unprofessional staff!!
I used to be a fan of Oro di Napoli but the quality of both food and service has gone down significantly. When my 10-year-old daughter and I took a sip of our water, there was a strong chemical taste. When we told the server, she explained that it must have been a bit of their cleaning product that sprayed the glasses - which included BLEACH. They were not very apologetic and didnt comp or discount our meal. Im just hoping we dont get sick from ingesting the chemicals. We will not be returning.
Traditional Neapolitan Pizza!!!
This was the first time Ive been back in a few years and I was disappointed. I visited on a Thursday around 6pm and the restaurant was not busy. This didnt stop the server from rushing my guest and I to order our meals. When we asked for a bottle of sparkling water, they gave us an open bottle that clearly had a drink poured from it. I wouldnt have taken issue with this, however they then charged us for a full bottle. When we brought it up, their response was, well I didnt notice. My guest got the pizza which was delicious! Very well cooked and great toppings! Definitely the best choice on the menu. If I were to return I would likely just stick to ordering a pizza. I ordered the tagliatelle, while the pasta was fresh, it was undercooked. The sauce was also very thin and likely could have used a few more minutes on a burner to thicken with the pasta. Overall, I would be hard pressed to return or recommend based on this experience, but may order takeout pizza in a pinch.
Authentic Italian restaurant. The food here is incredible. Reasonable price for the pizza and pasta. The ambiance is nice, and the staff are pretty good. I tried the Espresso Martini & it was lovely. I would recommend to book a reservation as this place gets full in the evening. Will be back for sure!
Really good food. The sausage on the pizza tho is not for me. Tastes barny
Love the pizza!!
Really like this place. Just great food and vibes
So good we order delivery (Uber Eats) to Mississauga. For our first time we tried the Chicken Alfredo ($23) and the Pepperoni Pizze Rosse ($21). The pasta and pizza arrived lukewarm but we knew it would since it came from pretty far away. It reheated up pretty good. The pasta was tasty and rich and the pizza was not shy of pepperoni. They use high quality ingredients. The next order we tried the Diavola Pizze Rosse ($21) and the Rigatoni al Cognac with shrimp ($23). Again the pasta was tasty, although it lacked a little of the Cognac taste. It came with 4 large, plump shrimps cooked really well. The pizza was nice and spicy. They had a promo at the time so we got a free Margherita D.O.P Pizze Rosse. It was good but I ve had better but I m not complaining since it was a bonus. I wish we lived closer so we could get the food at a better temperature.
The food is excellent, the people are friendly and the prices reasonable. What else can I say, we love it. Have visited a number of times with family and always go home happy.
My apologies, I was so hungry so i forgot to take pictures before I start eating . I got half Pepperoni half Mushroom to be able to test two different kinds. They were both good and tasty but not something that i wanna go again. The Panna cotta on the other hand was disappointing. Overall 3.8/5
It s your comfort neighborhood Italian Ristorante which serves not to heavy on pocket but guarantees the same deliciousness of a high end Italian Restaurant. It s warm, cozy, has a live wood fired pizza counter ( you will see your pizzas taking shape in front of you eyes ) and the severs will always be available to give you good recommendations from their menu.
We enjoyed our time with family and friends here. Tried the olive miste, casarecce pesto pasta, diavola pizza, casareccia pizza and oro pizza. Olives and pizza were good. Service was okay, server would pour water and reach over us while spilling water on the tables and menus. She was very matter a fact, not entirely friendly. We were a party of 8 adults plus 1 child. The bill came and we were all charged a 20% gratuity charge. Unexpected and dont agree with the automatic 20% especially when the service didnt match the tip that was automatically charged. Paid street parking and nearby Green P parking available.
The Oro and Margherita some oven pizzas are so tasty. The cheese-less Marinara pizza is also really good and a nice option since I cant do cheese like I used to, but the other 2 pizzas are well worth popping a few lactaids :)
Oro Di Napoli s been on my list to try for a while now. Went last night and was not disappointed. The margherita pizza was excellent, one of the best I ve had in a long time. The arancini were great too. Wife and I split the gnocchi pomodoro and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was quick and friendly. We ll definitely go back.
Great food and service!
wooow awesome experience. Food was amazing. Recommend
The pizza was good and veal piccatta as well. But the veal was loaded with garlic way too much! The place is not the cleanest, windows and doors really dirty and floor. It could use an update. The waitress was super nice when I told her my latte contained old milk. She quickly brought me another one and asked me if this one tasted fine. It did, it was good as well as the Canoli.
Great food and vibes! Will for sure be seeing us again!
Loved the risotto here . The mushroom risotto is a must try and the pizzas are to die for
Food
Despite a gaffe made with my reservation, the food and service was great. A shame that they are short staffed at such a good restaurant. The fried calamari was light and crisp without being tough and chewy. The insalata di mare was delightful, but could probably sub a white fish for the salmon - it was a bit too heavy in flavour for the lightness of the calamari and shrimp. The amatriciana was unfortunately way too spicy. Like the only flavour that was present was chili peppers. A rare miss. The rigatoni with cognac and shrimp though was perfectly al dente, the shrimp cooked well, the rose sauce luscious. Have been several times and recommend everyone try it out.
Good pizza !!
This place comes to our mind when we think of a wood-burning oven pizza in our area. We have tried both dine-in and take-out in the past but our recent visit was average unfortunately. You can clearly tell they are short-staffed and a long wait to get a clean table during off peak hours. We also think the restaurant needs an uplift and requires proper lighting. Their food is hands down A+. Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe (white truffle paste, black pepper, pecorino) was excellent. Simple but full of flavours. Pizza Rosse Pollo met our expectation. I also suggest grilled calamari as an appetizer served on a bed of salad leaves. Hoping the management to adapt these changes to have a better dine-in experience.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Probably my second time ever writing a review. But we went as a group of 7 with 1 kid and the hostess/server told us it would be 30 mins (took down our name and number) and we told her we will patiently wait outside with a toddler, baby and two elders. 35 mins goes by and I went inside and waited another five mins to chat with her to see the progress. She said she had a table of six we can squeeze at and I said perfect (we can even put two at the bar). I went outside to tell my party the table is being cleaned. Two mins after she came out and said sorry I don t have a table for you and said if I were you I would leave . She blamed it on a lack of management and that she was tapped out . Everyone there was a small business owner and if we ever had excuses like that we would be closed for good. Can t believe she made us wait that long and never had the decency to come and tell us it wouldn t work.
Service was dismal. Servers spent more on time on their phones and clearing tables. The servers repeatedly forgot to bring what we requested, we had to ask a few times for drinks and the bill. The food was actually worse than the service, and the bar wasn t very high to begin with. Pasta was probably cooked in the Dead Sea along with the dried out Costco bought precooked chicken. DO NOT order the pasta unless you have a desire to feel like a desert manifested in your throat. Bring water.
Probably the best pizza I had in the GTA. The price was on the spot.
This time we are transported to the south of Italy and we decided to visit PIZZA DI NAPOLI. From the moment we arrived, you can see a familiar and daily atmosphere, its very friendly staff at the entrance invite you to accompany a beautiful table with its clean cutlery and perfectly assembled on light colors. Our experience in dishes was pleasant and we were able to verify a delicious tomato sauce and pasta with different touches that mixed with chicken make a real party for the palate. A delicious apple cider or wine can be served before your espresso to end your visit. Thank you
Great place to share some pizza with family and friends Vegetarian options: There are a few pizzas you can get that dont havr any meat Kid-friendliness: There was a family with kids there
Tried this restaurant first time and ordered two pizza and cacio e pepe through Uber eats. Pizza was really good but the pasta was disgusting literally over cooked and TOO SALTY to eat :( I ate a bit and my stomach started to be upset, so I had to threw whole container. I was expecting tasty pasta from the decent place
Love to support local. Unfortunately this may have been the worst restaurant meal ever had. Calamari you could have chewed for days. Veal Marsala that was so salty and had a sour taste. Cacio e pepe swimming in butter and a bottle of pepper These photos are what we left behind. It was so bad we simply paid the bill and excused ourselves and went elsewhere for dinner. $140 including the bottle of wine that we didn t drink.
Not to sound dramatic but I am heartbroken. I used to rave about this place and their Rigatoni Al Cognac. I lived in Mimico for almost 3 years, and would come here for this pasta dish almost weekly. I moved to Streetsville a few months ago and tonight came here only to find that almost the entire team was new. The service was bad, friendly, but still very bad. The waitresses were unorganized and almost completely unaware, and most importantly, sadly the chef was different. What a shame.
Pizza was delicious and the tiramisu was amazing
Weve missed eating on the patio here! The takeout is still very good and the pizza is the best. They also have good takeout deals, sometimes you get a free pizza with your order. Only thing is I have often ordered the tonnarelli cacio e pepe, but the last few times it has been much too saucy. Maybe too much pasta water added or something.
Hands down best Italian food I have ever had!
Loved the pizza here, especially the pollo al pesto the waitress was very sweet and provided great service!
This place has amazing Pizza
Unhappy people work here who do not treat customers well. I ordered take out and ended up with a wrong order when I got home. The customer in front of me was waiting because he was initially handed over the wrong order as well.
Im really upset about my experience here tonight. I want to start with I thought our waitress was amazing and our dinner was great....what wasnt great was that I was served a dessert made with ricotta that had gone bad. We had eaten part of the dessert before we realized it had gone bad. it honestly wasnt on our radar that we could be served a tainted canoli of all things. We just thought the chef was being creative with ingredients. We werent charged for the dessert and the chef provided a new one to take home which was nice but... A) serving soft cheeses that have gone bad is extremely serious. It should have never happened. I recently had a serious surgery, my immune system is compromised and Im quite worried for my health right now as Ive had stomach pain and nausea that has gotten worse throughout the evening. B) the replacement canoli was also off. I didnt dare touch it but my husband tried it and told me it was still sour. You cannot make mistakes like this. This particular mistake can result in listeria food poisoning as well as various other harmful bacterial infections. Completely unacceptable.
Love this place!
The food was great. Nice little patio. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. I wouldn t say the server was rude but definitely not very friendly. She wasn t very attentive and they served the mains less than 2 minutes after the appetizer was served. I could understand if the placed was slammed. But it wasn t very busy. Overall.very happy with the antipasto and the pizza. Just didn t really enjoy the experience very much.
Poor service. There were no paper towels in the bathroom. Several tables were not cleaned after customers departed, so dirty dishes and empty wine glasses remained on display long after. We were given tiny side plates which could not even fit a quarter slice of pizza. Menus are in poor condition. Food and beverages come out very slowly and it is most likely because they prioritize takeout and Uber eats orders, and have poor communication with dining-room customers. We ordered a beverage but then were only told 20 minutes later the beverage was not even available! Finally, a raccoon found its way inside the restaurant through the open patio doors.
Service was so slow, and it didnt look busy. Tomato on pizza was not cook.
This place is amazing. Best Italian food Ive ever had. The mains and desert are amazing, but the grilled calamari (app) takes the show for me. Ill be coming back here very soon to try the entire menu. I should add that the waitress was alone and she made an amazing effort to get all tables handled and was very helpful and kind. She deserves a raise! 10/10
Solid place, no complaints.
Stumbled upon this gem 5 years ago and so happy we did. Food is amazing - cacio e Pepe is an absolute must. Every pizza is delicious & wine is well priced. We continue to go back as it s such a low key & memorable restaurant.
Ive been here 3 times. Each time the food was amazing, and it was overall a great experience. I would recommend trying this pizza place.
I ordered through uber eats, can you please explain me what kind of pizza this is? We couldn t even eat it and got a refund.
Excellent service. Fantastic salads but main dishes were only mediocre. There seemsto be no air conditioning and it was very noisy.
Avoid!! Made reservations in advance, when we showed up, they did not even know we were coming. Birthday ruined.
Made reservations over the phone for 12 people and when we got there they said that they didn t have a reservation under our name. The girl had very bad manners. It was the first time there but we won t go back.
This place was recommended to me by a friend, we were both in shock from the negative experience we had. After a long time of wanting to go, we finally got the chance to try it out and were not satisfied AT ALL. Disappointed.
Pizza was awesome. They need experienced servers who take care of their customer. See you soon for more pizza!
The restaurant was cute but sorry to say I did not enjoy the food. It wasnt awful, but its not something Id come back to. The calamari was way too salty but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy it. The pizzas were cooked well but the flavours were average. The customer service was lacking a lot. It didnt seem like the server liked her job at all. Happy to support local but will not be returning here unfortunately.
Probably the best pizza Ive ever had. Prices are great, servers are awesome.
Fried calamari were good Pasta pesto was good Focaccia never came Pizza was burned No veal Marsala available Only two desserts were available- they had no gelato or cannoli and no substitutions offered. Disappointed and unlikely to go back.
Amazing pizza! Sides and salads are so good too! Definitely recommend to get a salad, pasta and a pizza! Fast and helpful service as well Update 2 years later: food and service are still amazing, we had the arugula salad with pears, cacio e pepe, and a pizza. Cocktails were great! Small suggestion, please print new menus, its the first thing customers touch and they are shabby!
Best pizza ever. But service this time was very poor. Supplies were very low. Coffee machines werent working, a little disappointing this time.
The Vesuvius pizza is a must. Always go back there
We love this place! We come regularly, and whatever menu item we choose, it is delicious.
Great pizza
Excellent wood fired oven pizza. Filling too... Kills the hunger. I had the capodichino and my partner had the Margherita. Nice spot too. Highly recommended.
The pizza was incredible and the service was great
Yummy such a nice Italian restaurant, I love the seabass . Food
Amazing place!
I ve been ordering delivery from this place many many times. The food quality and quantity has got a bit ridiculous. Today, I ordered a $16 salad, one of my favorites that I ve ordered more than a dozen times. When I opened the packaging, the salad didn t even fill up half of the box. Are you serious?! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!
Best pizza in the area.
Honestly pizzas here are just AMAZING !!! Sounds like an Italian family restaurant and I love it. Staff is really nice.
Food - tasty, but service - awful. We asked three times to place an order. After that I reminded twice about my coffee from order. And at the end they forgot about the dessert, we waited with empty table and reminded them again. There were only two of us, so it wasnt a huge order, when you can forget an item because of the amount of everything. When we asked for the bill, they brought us a terminal that didnt work, but we had to wait a long time for the waiter to pay anyway and finally leave. I dont know why I even left a tip after all that. And when we were already leaving the place, another waitress stopped us and asked if we even paid to leave. That is, the whole evening we endlessly waited for the waiters to order/remind/pay and at the end we were still suspected by them that we wanted to run away. Unfortunately, with such staff, I will bypass this place by a long way, although the food there is delicious.
Loved the appertizers.
The wooden fire pizza oven brought us in, but we were disaapointed by the quality of the food. I had peperoni pizza and my dad ordered meat balls, mine was burnt, and the meat balls tasted like its a few days old. Not recomended if you dont wanna get sick after Food
I got sick after ate in this restaurant. Quality of food was the worst. The pizza that I ordered was burnt to black, I couldn t eat and asked them to replace it. The second one tasted wasn t good at all and I got sick couple of hours later. Everything was terrible in this restaurant. Not recommended.
We went there with family and ordered napoletana and oro and cheese pizza and meat balls, first of all it was all burnt specially the cheese pizza was badly burnt that they changed it immediately and the meat ball was sour, it was very salty, I couldn t finish napoletana pizza because it was very low quality. And the next night non of us couldn t sleep and we got stomach pains and needs of toilet. It was a waste of money and time, please don t go there.(in the pic as you see we didn t know what was waiting for us)
(The other night) Finally had the chance to dine in & I am sooo happy I did. Such amazing service and recommendations from Millena & the food was amazzzzzzzinggg! I can t wait to go back and try some more stuff! (In the summer) Ordered takeout, extremely impressed with my two pizzas, can t wait to dine in next time. Wonderful quality and taste!!
Great Za
I love the Rapini. Thank you Abby!
We had a Margherita pizza night at home. We bought 5 different pizzas from.5 different pizzerias in Etobicoke. We did a blind tasting and 5 out of the 6 people chose Oro Di Napoli in the #1 spot in Etobicoke !! Keep it up Editing my review. Got an uber delivered. Paid $12 for steamed veggies. Got what looks like a few carrots and onions. This type of actions are insulting and disrespectful to customers.
Solid pizza joint! Crust is a delightful blend of crispy and chewy, toppings are fresh, and the sauce is flavorful. Quick service adds to the positive experience. Only a notch away from perfection definitely worth a visit!
We used to enjoy this restaurant but recently had a very bad experience. Ordered through a delivery service and did not received all the dishes. When I called, Abi the manager blamed the delivery person and asked me to fix this myself by calling the delivery service and ask for a refund, and then re-order the missing dish, while assuring me they will take care of the extra fees associated with a new order. I had to wait for another hour, then Abi denied any wrongdoing on their side and I was left with a cold and overpaid dinner. They explained to me that the first time they used two small unnumbered paper bags for packing three dishes, with no indication whatsoever for me or the driver. The second time the one missing dish was placed in a huge paper bag, which in my opinion puts all the blame on the restaurant and not the delivery service. I attached a photo of the bags they used. When I asked for further explanations on the phone I was dismissed and told that the owner will call me to further discuss. Its been 10 days and did not receive any call back. Pizzeria Oro Di Napoli management and customer service is very disappointing, hence giving one star even though their food is good.
From when I moved to Canada 10 years a go this pizza was one of the worse I had. Ridiculous disgusting Food
The namesake Oro pizza is unbelievable. Classic wood fire, amazing toppings
Amazing wood oven pizza and delicious dessert!! ( I ordered Oro Pizza and Panna Cotta dessert)
Calamari was nice
Ive only ordered from delivery so cant speak to the ambience inside, nor service, but this place has wonderful pizza. Extremely tasty and done well. Love it crispy and thin. Thank you so much Oro Di Napoli.
Best pizza in neighbors! Love it!
Very much wanted to go there. Google and their phone message said they opened at 11am. Not the case. Ate elsewhere.
A neighbourhood favourite. Fabulous pizza.
Amazing
Best pizzas in town! The Oro pizza is especially delicious Kid-friendliness: Had high chairs
Hands down best pizza in town. Will be back soon. Service was also excellent!! A must try.
Used to be my favorite restaurant in the area but I find the food to be too salty. Also - the last 2 times my husband went in to pick up our food the staff wasnt very welcoming. Well have to take a break from this place.
I am always open to the idea that we all learn through mistakes, so the following is a review of my first visit...I went hungry, ordered the Napotano( capers and anchovies), I believe it was called. I cook quite a bit with these ingredients, so not a stranger to them. Someone, added extra salt and some of the caper juice was on the sauce! why ?? I was too hungry, so the water was really good to have, omg! Then, when I asked for olive oil, to place on my pizza, I was given a veggie oil that was too spicy, (water again, was my saving grace). So I asked for real olive oil for garnish and given Gallo extra virgin..ps..I know this oil. Its ok for cooking(lesser quality) but very bitter to taste unlike a higher quality.I then ordered rapini, thankfully, salt was not added, and I was able to eat 2 pcs., I brought the rest home and my Son, who is a foodie, by hobby, mentioned, the pizza was way too salty! Now, perhaps squeezing the juice from the capers could of been done before dressing the pizza too. I dont mind paying but I do expect quality for the price. ps..The staff(Jose) was really nice though! DC
Patio was great, food was very good. We had Vesuvio pizza and insalata di campo, very good stuff.
Pizza take out
Food was great, patio is cozy and very enjoyable! Our server Dana was amazing and we loved her!!! Check this spot out!!
Here s whats complicated about this review: the food here is INCREDIBLE! The staff are not. We understood that we came in around closing, and staff wanted to go home (even though there was a party of 8 on the patio who wasn t leaving any time soon). We ate quickly and asked our 3 LEFT OVER PIZZA SLICES to be packed up. Then I see today they only packed 2 slices and 1/2 the toppings are missing when it wasn t served that way AND it wasn t us because the box was on my lap, unopened on the drive home?! I remember the staff looked shady and whispered about the box as they put a sticker seal on it so we wouldn t open it. So basically they dropped it on the floor, and salvaged was edible in the box and didn t bother telling us hoping we wouldn t notice or ask for a discount. To say I m disappointed and appalled, would be putting it lightly.
Excellent pizza! The dough is light and airy with a hint of sweetness. Great tomato sauce, not too tangy and not too sweet. High quality ingredients. Recommend highly.
My wife recently took us to this pizza place by Lakeshore Blvd West in Etobicoke and it sure was worth the drive from Milton. For starters, we ordered the Calamari Fritti (fried) which was served with horseradish aioli. I highly recommend this starter as the calamari they serve is fresh and melts in your mouth. The horseradish aioli was refreshing and subtle. We paired this starter with their house Caesar salad. Their version included housemade crispy prosciutto, parmigiano-reggiano and some herbed croutons. The prosciutto and parmigiano-reggiano made this dish very delicious and oh so tasty .truly a must have. For main, we ordered the Tonnarelli del Tirreno (seafood pasta), the Bufalina & Pesante pizza. You will not believe the service size for the pasta. First the pasta ..smothered with crushed San Marzano tomatoes in white wine, topped with juicy scallops, P.E.I. mussel, plum shrimps and fresh calamari. The taste is heavenly and if you are a seafood lover .this is definitely the pasta for you. Onto the pizza .the Buffalina is just generous ..huge patches of buffalo mozzarella, topped with prosciutto di Parma, tons of fresh arugula, charred tomatoes with basil and garlic. This is a 12 inch pizza which is good for 2 or 3 people. If you prefer pizza without the prosciutto or meat, go for the Pesante. This pizza is full of flavor .simply because the black truffle paste just compliments the 4 cheeses that it came with ..fior di latte, asiago, pecorino romano and grana Padano. This alone would have been a good serving for 2 people. The ambience is nice, friendly and smiling staff, prompt service and generous servings. 5 out of 5 stars for me .super & highly recommended!
Pizza was very authentic and not too heavy. Will surely go back again.
I ve never ate at this restaurant but I frequently pick up there for Uber and I consistently get the same cold treatment from the waitress that usually waits tables at this location she has absolutely no sense of personality and i I don t know if it s because I m an Uber driver that I m treated this way but generally I like to eat at the exact same places that I get good treatment from and I will never eat at this place just due to the fact that the waitress is just straight up rude
Hidden gem - great pie
Italian Food choices, including pizza with no cheese. Means original baked pizza with olive oil and choices of shrimp, peppers and more. Ordered Pizza and Salad with 2 people. Popular place in the neighborhood. I highly recommend to try it out. Needs a little bit of tidy up to be more presentable, Work in hotel and restaurant, Valhalla Inn, European Style. Restaurant stock needs to be in lower shelves tucked in. Restrooms needs to be a bit lit and refresh and hallway needs to be presentable. Not hazard place to walk in and out. Make the receiving more space for dine in and pick up.
Worst restaurant ever! They don t even deserve one star . I called and booked the restaurant for 2 people and a service dog for patio . When I arrived last waitress hold me for some time and gave a bad attitude why I have a dog with me ! I had my dog s service animal paper but she was very rude to us and I couldn t wait any longer and left ! After I left I called and asked to talk with management waitress answered the phone and said she s the management! Lol this is a big disappointment even when the waitress acts herself as manager . Won t recommend here not good people and not a dog friendly restaurant
Great food, great restaurant, awesome service people. The manager was a delight and served us directly. Cant beat wood stove cooked pizza.
Food was good but not fantastic. Service was not good. Our waitress seemed liked she was stoned or something. Forgot our drink orders twice and forgot to put our food order in so it took way too long.
Excellent Calamari & Pizza
Great environment. Very friendly staff. Food was great. Pizza was phenomenal. Will be back.
I have been ordering from here for years and am happy to see it still standing post pandemic. The Neapolitan pizza is awesome and deliciously charred and chewy, pasta sauces are rich and their pizza sauce is extremely fresh and flavourful. Patio is great, though on Lakeshore so prepare for noise and foot traffic. The interior is beautiful and the big wood oven is fun to be mesmerized by! Constructive criticism would be the menus could use an overhaul, the $12 Negroni I ordered was pretty sad looking and over iced. Other than that, staff was lovely and will be back again!
Terrible, pizza was burnt and soggy. Pasta was mediocre.
Pizza was mid, pasta was a little too al denté
Great friendly staff! One of the few pizzas that are made with Italian not American flour receipts. Good place to go.
First time I came here, I was in love. The food was incredible and the service was excellent - Get busy at night so i typically go for a late lunch
Delicious food, good service. The mushroom risotto was amazing!
I love it there Good service. Excellent food! Food
Great food and service
Best pizza in Toronto
Great place for a pizza with family and friends. Good atmosphere overall a nice place.
Amazing pizza and wine. Cute cozy atmosphere. A must try
One of my favorite pizza places. Authentic pizza with fresh ingredients. The service is fast and the prices reasonable. I have taken friends and family and all have enjoyed the pastas and pizza.
Nice little place. Came and had the grilled calamari and arancini, arancini was good, calamari was a bit bland. We then had the boar gnocchi. Which was good, really rich, needed something to cut it down, but flavour was good. Lots of bay leaves were in the sauce so had to fish them out. Spaghetti with bacon and tomato sauce was overpowered by the burnt bacon, so had it replaced by gnocchi in tomato sauce which was delicious! Tiramisu was great also, took a pizza to go, also was good. Service, was ok. Our server was a sweetheart but could tell she wasn t experienced, maybe in training? Felt like a bit of wait a lot the time. Overall the food was good, not amazing, and the restaurant itself lacked a bit of character and atmosphere.
I would rate their wood oven pizzas among the best in TO Delicately seasoned salads Excellent home made pastas Matched with their considerate and polite service I would recommend it as a go to place to all my friends. Parking: Streetone
