Excellent food and service

We enjoyed our meals tremendously. They were prepared with the freshest ingredients and straight-forwardly tasty -- with none of the contrivances of modern cuisine yet with layers of flavour. We were fortunate to be served by the professional and jovial Rocco who apparently was the retired owner but was holding fort while the new owner (his son) was vacationing. The food was very disgusting. Only one dish out of the 6 dishes ordered was decent. The gnocchi was horrific sent plate back. Pizza is not authentic italian pizza. It tastes like Flatbread pizza. Expect 18% gratuity automatically applied for 6 people. Even if it is 3 adults one baby and 2 toddlers. Overall will never recommend or come back ever again.

This restaurant definitely has captured the essence of Italian dining and brought it to Toronto with authenticity. I will definitely be visiting again.

I would say that Sorsi e Morsi offers an exceptional Italian dining experience, combining high-quality, flavorful dishes with impeccable service. The menu is diverse, featuring both traditional and innovative options, with standout dishes like Burrata Caprese and Tagliatelle alla bolognese. (My personal favourite) The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The restaurants ambiance is elegant yet cozy, making it suitable for various occasions. While it is on the pricier side, the superb food and service make it worth the cost. Surely gonna visit soon.

Amazing service! We were visiting Toronto for the weekend from the US and did not have a reservation and walked in. One staff member let us dine as long as we leave within an hour for an upcoming reservation. We were still treated with respect by him and other staff members. The team delivered the great dining experience for us. We will definitely return when we are back in town! It is very hard to find a restaurant with a great service like this. Thank you!!!

Vince, one of the owners of a family owned restaurant, was really welcoming! Food was very good! We went for a friend s bday. Their special pizza was delicious! Same with the appetizer platter. The Branzino Chilean Sea Bass was superb it s melts like butter in your mouth!! Arctic Char was delicious! So was the Blueberry tart with amazing almond extract burst of flavour! Recommend Antipasto Della Casa & VITELLO TONNATO Thinly Sliced Cooked Veal Loin with Tuna Caper spread. Great wine list for reasonable prices. Lots of free parking behind the restaurant (access from driveway off Burnhamthorpe Rd. between CIBC & the United Church.

Had the delight of having my wedding shower hosted here for lunch and we had a wonderful afternoon! Food was absolutely delicious, fresh crisp salads, hot entrees (salmon, chicken, Gnocchi- yum!) Vince was extremely helpful and rearranged tables and chairs to our liking, warmly hosted my family and I throughout the afternoon with welcome drinks, coffees, turned down music for speeches, made sure we had everything we needed from set up to take down, etc, just overall very detailed service :) His staff were lovely and attentive, our food was paced perfectly, empty dishes were taken away quickly, we all felt well taken care of. They sliced and served our cakes for us, with coffee & espresso, kept fresh plates on the dessert table where all our cookies were, just really good service all the way through the meal. Our reservation seated 30 guests at 3 tables (12, 12, 6) which felt comfy but not tight. Had space for a dessert table, a photo backdrop, gift table, & 2 strollers near the front door - our guests entered through the parking lot entrance. Definitely go for a date night for dinner because the food and service is fantastic, but if youre looking to host around 30 guests for a seated lunch with room to mingle I highly recommend Sorsi e Morsi!

We were introduced to this restaurant and the chef by friends of ours a few years back. And ever since Sorsi had become our go to place for guaranteed exceptional experience in dining. Vincenzo is now running the place and he knows what he is doing. It shows through outstanding service and quality of cuisine. There is a good reason why this is my favorite Italian restaurant: the food and service is always perfect! Last night I tried the veal chop for the first time, just excellent! My wife loved the fish special and my friends loved the pasta dishes.

Outstanding food! Incredible service. Inviting atmosphere. Vincenzo and team provided an amazing service. When one of our party excused themselves to use the restroom, Vincenzo ensured her plate stayed warm while she was away from the table. Wine and water glasses were refreshed conistsently and plates were frequently replensihed. The food was plated with elegance and style and bursting with flavour.

Went to this place last evening with a couple friends and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, the cocktails were superb and most of all great customer service. Although it was a big storm and we were the last late night patrons left we did not feel rushed but got to relax and enjoy our evening and time together. Amazing everything. They are creative and amazing with the quality of food. Just as good as mamas cooking. They are very accomodating and give you their best each and everytime. Great for corporate dinners or family get togethers. Cant get enough of this place!!!!

Having dined here before, I expected great pasta. Surprisingly, this time the linguini was overcooked. All else was delicious. Hosts were gracious and treated us like extended family.

I tried Sorsi e Morsi for the first time last weekend (after coming highly recommended by friends)..What a great evening, great food and I love the quaint ambience..perfect for a little date night place..I met up with some old friends from university. Vincenzo was so friendly..and the food (Veal Marsala) and the Antipasto Rustico (with various salume, grilled calamari, etc) was fantastic..perfect for sharing with friends! Will definitely be back! We started with the Calamari, make sure you ask for extra bread to mop up the sauce ! My wife had the TAGLIATELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE, and I had SPAGHETTI AI FRUTTI DI MARE, both were excellent. We had a nice bottle of Chianti Reserve to go with it all. As usual the food and service were excellent, highly recommended.

Thank you to the gentleman that called me last night to ensure the meal delivered via a 3rd party was to their standards. It was delicious thank you. A touch less oil in the spaghetti is more to my liking but thats likely idiosyncratic.

My family recently surprised me with a a dinner here for my birthday, and to say it was amazing would be an understatement. Vince handled our group of 9 like a pro, the service was phenomenal, the food was delicious and it felt like I was eating at a friend s place. The space is so small and intimate without feeling crowded, and everything about the staff and environment was warm and welcoming. I can t wait to bring my family here again. One of my best birthday dinner s yet - and they helped make that possible!

I visited this restaurant with a friend of mine and we both had a great time. I ordered a steak that was cooked exactly as I had asked. The stake was a big portion, and I usually dont finish my plates, but my plate was all clean this time:) The veggies coming on the side were very tasty as well. I also ordered a tiramisu, and I enjoyed a cappuccino with it, but since it was late, I asked for a decaffeinated cappuccino. I was happy the server didnt make a mistake like it has happened to me in other places before. I slept very well that night:) Finally, the staff were very professional and pleasant. My husband loves a good steak, so Im definitely going back again.

Took my parents here for Mother s Day & it didn t disappoint. Each interaction was extremely personable & pleasant, from their courtesy call confirming our reservation, to the last minutes of our dining experience. Firstly, Mahi was an absolute gem. He took the time to explain the specials, answered all of our inquiries gently & recommended beautiful meal pairings. I m almost 100% certain we were there past closing time (accidentally I didn t realize it at the time) & he in no way, shape or form rushed us. I actually asked for the bill once I noticed the time, because I think he was giving us space to enjoy our experience. They even accommodated us as a late-night reservation, which I m extremely grateful for. The food was phenomenal. There was not a single dish that was a miss . We ordered the RISOTTO CON GAMBERI E CAPESANTE w. mushrooms (as per Mahi s suggestion after my mother asked for mixed veggies), SPAGHETTI AI FRUTTI DI MARE and TORTELLI DI MAGRO, all which were served with warm bread & balsamic vinegar/olive oil. For dessert we ordered the mocha cheesecake because the tiramisu was sold out. All were made to perfection. Price point was extremely reasonable as well! It was also cool to see the chefs @ work through the glass they have that shows the kitchen. Mahi handed my mother a single rose at the end of the dinner which was such a nice touch. Service, food and atmosphere 10/10. There s also parking in the back of the restaurant. I will be returning, for sure. If you re questioning the reason this place has 4.8 stars instead of 5, check the reviews & you ll see the customer service from Vince who I can only assume is the owner & his willingness to rectify the situations that are usually miscommunications in a timely fashion. I can assure you, you won t be disappointed. The entire experience was certainly one to remember.

I dont even eat bread anymore. But when the bread came, it was warm, soft and heavenly. With the olive oil, oh my goodness. Im still in shock about the deliciousness in every dish we ordered: the portabella salad, spinach ravioli and tiramisu. 10/10! I was conflicted however with the fact that I chose the barolo wine with the white sauce pasta. This can only mean one thing. I must go back and try the pomodoro sauce! Many thanks to Vince and family for a lovely dinner. Definitely recommend!

I dont understand. Somehow they give you service that makes you feel like youre being served by friends who are excited to feed you, but the atmosphere is still so elegant and beautiful! And the food? I had said Id been in Italy recently and the man said hes very proud of their food but I shouldnt expect the best of Italy. but you know what? I must not be Italian enough to know because this pizza is amazing! Its authentic, its delicious, its light and fresh and full of flavour! Oh, and just to go even further, I got a perfect espresso to boot. Perfect perfect perfect!

we have been coming here for several years. always fantastic. in fact my son brought his girlfriend here for their first official date. most recently my husband and i are on a keto diet .... and the staff have been very accommodating. entrees are fantastic - whether the veal chop or salmon or quail or there specials! we are going to continue to come here while we r on keto and cant wait til we can start to have their amazing pastas and pizza! btw there vitello tonnato as an appetizer is a 10/10 too. Dietary restrictions: totally supports the keto diet!

I like to service and the food was great

I chose this wonderful restaurant to celebrate my fathers visit from Vancouver. We had a fantastic dinner with prompt and attentive service. The food and wine were absolutely delicious! We had the veal medallion with mushrooms marsala wine sauce and it was the best I have ever tasted. My father had the homemade veal spinach ravioli and loved it. We each tried the others food and agreed that it was very tasty. The desserts were decadent as well. We will definately return to this amazing restaurant. Thanks for a lovely evening! Absolutely good authentic Italian food. It was so delicious. The tomatoe sauce was fresh. All the food is fresh. I could taste the salty sea when I ate the cozze di mare. And the staff is also wonderful and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I will definitely visit again.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my wifes birthday. Had never been before and, what a mistake! The mistake was that we had never been there!!!! The atmosphere was great, the service was first class - attentive but not overly so. The food was fresh, presented beautifully and tasted delicious. There were 6 of us and many different meals were ordered and we shared a number of appetizers. When we left we were delightfully full and so glad we went to the fabulous restaurant. The food is great and so very well priced. The staff are very attentive. The atmosphere is a bit noisy but still warm and cozy. We tried the veal cop (very tender and well prepared) , Caprese di Bufala, spaghetti al pomodoro (as side dish with the veal chop), Seafood Spaghetti (with tones of seafood), Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, veal medallions and everything was perfect! This is one of the best Italian restaurants in all of Toronto. While a little bit pricey, you get what you pay for in every way. The atmosphere is quaint, yet lively. The owner is constantly on the floor, behind the bar, assisting where he can and working with the staff the entire evening. Further, the owner takes time out of his clearly busy schedule to visit every single table and have a (sometimes very) brief chat with them, to make sure everything is going well, or to just ask about how their night is going. The food is absolutely fantastic. After having gone numerous times and trying numerous dishes, they were all delicious. There was one time a mistake was made, where someone at the table was served a dish with an ingredient (mushrooms) that they had a minor allergy to. We had let the staff know prior to ordering and were assured that it would not be in the dish. After bringing this to the attention of the waitress at the time, the owner came over and apologized at least 4 or 5 times and gave that persons entree for free. Honestly, Ive never met staff or an owner that cared more about their customers than I have here. My family and I have already eaten here 6 or 7 times over the years and we plan to eat here many more times. And best of all? They dont try to scam you to paying for water that comes from a tap like some other restaurants Ive reviewed :). If youre in the area, eat here. You will NOT be disappointed.

What an amazing little gem tucked away in South Etobicoke. Fantastic fresh food, cozy atmosphere and the service was insanely fun! These ladies are over the top nice and so much fun! As much as the food was exceptional the service really made the experience. A must try!

Read about the reviews online and decided to come here with my son. Very nice greeting at the door and was seated immediately. The food was very nice, best Caesar salad I ve ever tasted. And the chocolate torte with vanilla ice cream was amazing. Service was fine but more catered to the older adults. I was patient and my 4 year old son was surprisingly patient as well. Our server Danielle was very nice. I will come back another day not on a Friday evening. Thanks

Heard about this Italian Restaurant in our neighbourhood and decided to go for dinner. My friend had Penne alla boscaiola - penne with sausage and mushrooms in rose sauce. Penne was cooked al dente and had the right balance of mushrooms and sausage, and tasted good. It was creamy but light and well seasoned. I had the Rissotto con Gamberi e Capesante - arborio rice with tiger shrimps and scallops. The shrimps and scallops were cooked perfectly, they were soft and tender. The scallops were chopped into small pieces and mixed in with the rice. One can taste the seafood flavour in the risotto which was so delicious. For dessert we had the torta al ciocolatto-the homemade gluten free chocolate torte with vanilla ice cream. It was good and not so sweet .The restaurant also provided excellent customer service.

Im disappointed!!! Disappointed I didnt order the pizza :-) It looked amazing! I had the Minestrone and the Gnocchi Sorrentina , both quite enjoyable. Service good, owner and staff very friendly. I will try the pizza next time and report back.

The restaurant smells of sewage. It was empty when we were there. Not sure where all these great reviews came from but they dont seem fitting for this restaurant.

As an Italian myself, I rarely ever go out to eat Italian food at a restaurant. But when I do, it s at Sorsi e Morsi. This is TRUE authentic italian food made by a wonderfully welcoming father & son duo. Highly recommend this place for events or for a cozy date night!

Went to have dinner with my boss tonight. It was a quieter night (random Tuesday) but Vince was very attentive , seemed to be training a younger man(?) who was doing a great job! Everything was timely, delicious, and even had some leftovers to take home so the prices were very fair for the quality/size. They were so sweet and didnt want to disturb us, even when the restaurant was technically closed! A great family-run business, will definitely visit again Thank you for the great food, great service, and ensuring that your employees were treated well.

My dad frequents this restaurant at least once a week. The food is fantastic, the staff is exceptional; we have never been disappointed. Owners are so nice, they ll let my father talk their ear off every time!!!!. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Ordered takeout: Caprese Salad, Penne, and Bolognese. Caprese: I think it would benefit from adding Balsamic reduction / Balsamic would greatly help Penne: Well done, the sauce is great Bolognese: Like the Penne, the sauce was great - it was reduced well. However, the pasta was overdone, and there were instances where the noodles were stuck while cooking, giving a really inconsistent texture.

Anniversary Dinner with Amazing food , service and ambience. Found restaurant on google and based on reviews reserved a table. Food was incredible and service was amazing. Attentive staff and the owner checked on us and our meal and they saw we had exchanged cards for our wedding anniversary and came and congratulated us and offered a drink. This place has the traditional great service in a restaurant you are looking for and everything we ate was so delicious and flavourful. Going to add this restaurant to our regular spots now.

Lovely Italian Restaurant in the neighborhood. Cozy vibes with great food & ambience. We tried the Calamari Alla Griglia which was so fresh and flavorful. For the main course we ordered the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese and Tortelli De Magro again tasty and full of Flavor! The quantity was just right for us since we are not big eaters. Came for an early dinner with a party of five. Served very quickly and efficient. I believe the owner had welcomed us and had us a seated. Very welcoming establishment. Ordered calamari as appetizers and were given bread as well. Calamari had wonderful texture and the small salad that comes with it was very complimentary of the flavours from the calamari. As for entrees, Salomon, Veal Ravoli, and pizza were ordered. Salmon was wonderful and the sear gave a nice outer crust while being very fluffy on the inside. Presentation of the fish was great and greens given on the side. Veal ravioli was amazing, the softness of the ravioli and texture/ seasoning of the veal was perfect. We had one dish with the tomato basil and one dish with the butter sage. I highly recommend giving the butter sage a try as it s truly a wonderful mouth explosion of taste. However, the portion is a little smaller but it s quality over quantity. Margherita pizza had a thinner crust but the structure was firm and not a saggy dough. Crust was perfectly cooked in the oven and the toppings were at a wonderful ratio . Tomato sauce tasted great and not overly salty/ acidic (a perfect balance of flavour. Highly recommend for any pizza lover. Dessert was also wonderful and highly recommend. Overall great experience and will definitely have to come again to try more menu items!!! Unfortunately took no pictures as food was so amazing.

Recently visited this place with my wife on a dinner date. We had a great time as the food and the service was excellent. The seafood we ordered was fresh and delicious. The ambiance was perfect for our date night. The staff is very friendly and especially our server was the best. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good fine dining experience.

Delicous food - the cod we had was just amazing - and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Some of the best customer service I have ever had. We had a small complaint about one of our dishes and the owner came over, told us he was taking the dish off our menu as well as our drinks and asked us if he could offer us complimentary dessert. Will def be going back to support this local restaurant.

Great place!

We were greeted warmly, and the restaurant offered a coat check. The food arrived quickly without feeling rushed. The wait staff was attentive without hovering. It was a delightful dining experience and the food was excellent.

Sorsi e Morsi is a hidden gem in Etobicoke! This is one of my fiancé and Is favourite restaurants. We ordered from Sorsi at least twice a month for 2.5 years during the pandemic. It was always a nice treat for our stay-at-home dates. My favourite is the gnocchi alla sorrentina and ravioli with spinach/cheese. My fiancés favourite is the campagnola pizza. We finally visited Sorsi when they opened for in-person dining and had a wonderful experience. The staff, especially Vincenzo, treated us like royalty! We will always be loyal customers.

Fabulous food! My family and I recently ordered takeout and it was excellent. Very flavourful and fresh food. The seafood spaghetti and seafood risotto are both absolutely amazing. They have very friendly staff and I really just have unlimited compliments.

I rarely write reviews but my kids asked me to give this restaurant 100 stars! We ordered take out, my 3yr old devoured his seafood pasta, the spinach ricotta ravioli was to die for and the pizzas were amazing. I had called last minute to change my order to a pick up order instead of a delivery and it was clearly a huge hassle for the restaurant as they had to deal with doordash but they were extremely nice and courteous about it. Will definitely be ordering here again and we look forward to being in person customers in the near future :)

Recently had dinner here and we loved it. The food was exceptional. The scallop special we ordered that evening are hands down the best we have every tasted. Cooked to perfection!!! My husband couldnt stop raving about them. We got pizza, pasta, an dessert everything was delicious, fresh and cooked perfectly. We were well taken care of entire dinner, staff very friendly. This is a food only review based on take out. I hve eaten at most Italian places in the GTA. And this place did not disappoint. Easily some of the best, well crafted Italian food in the city. The stuffed pastas (ravioli, tortelli , etc) were made in house and you could taste every drop of quality. Take a look at the photos. But with the flavour profile of the meatballs (top 5 in the city), the robust red sauce and delicate pasta, I can assume anything on the menu won t disappoint. Look forward to going in person. Recommend take out for sure. Pizza got a quick reheat in the oven and it tasted perfect. Also got the panna cotta but not photo. Came with blueberry topping. 4.6 / 5 well deserved.

I had a reservation for myself and my daughter tonight. We were welcomed at the door by the owner Vince and he made us feel very welcome. Our server David was awesome and made excellent suggestions for our meal. He checked in on us multiple times to make sure our experience was perfect. We had a great time, this restaurant really is a neighborhood gem like the other reviews say! Check this place out, you wont be disappointed! Ps, try the chocolate torte! Very indulgent!

One of my favourite Italian spots in the city - the food is excellent and staff amazing. David was our server, who was very friendly and polite. Vince, the manager, is always accommodating, approachable and focused on providing customers with a fantastic experience. this Italian restaurant is as authentic as they come, loved my visit here! the carpaccio is excellent, such subtle flavours. also highly recommend the risotto with crumbled sausage and butternut, a truly complementary combination. thank you Vincent.

Good pastas here. I had a sausage penne that I would order again. One of us had a pasta with pancetta that was also good. The steak was really good and cooked properly. Service was nice. It can get loud for tables close to the kitchen where orders are yelled out.

After a wonderful special birthday dinner with my family last fall, I requested Sorsi e Morsi for my retirement luncheon. Vinces attentive and respectful hospitality, delicious food and quality ingredients make this a place to celebrate! Love the veal scallopini! It is great to see such dedicated restaurateurs succeed in the neighbourhood and it is especially wonderful to be able to walk here, have a few drinks and walk home!

Truly delicious food and exceptional service. It does not disappoint.

Wonderful friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Nice menu choices. I ordered the veal sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. In my humble opinion it was one of the best Ive had because the veal was very nicely grilled as opposed to being heavily breaded. I would love to go back to this restaurant and recommend it.

Mussels with the rich secret broth was really fresh and tasted amazing. Pizza tasted just like in Italy. The grilled hen tasted was very fresh and cooked perfectly. So compliments to all the chefs and Nick!

Delicious authentic Italian cuisine, highly recommend Sorsi e Morsi pizza. Dine it and patio were available. As an improvement, I would recommend less garlic/spicy in mussels and black pepper in some dishes.

Dinner for 3 produced 3 remarkable meals, plus one shared dessert and a shared starter - all 5 were simply delicious. Pasta, a risotto, Chilean sea bass and the accompanying veggies were all perfection. Attentive owner and staff - a perfect evening. Then you discover the Il Posto connection and go ah... now I get it... Highly recommended.
