Not a huge fan of having to cut up my lettuce and spread my dressing on a caesar salad, but the food itself, service and awesome local feel/hospitality make it great and an institution on The Kingsway.

Came here about 6 months ago and still think about this place. I don t usually leave reviews but I really had to commend this restaurant. We loved everything we ordered, from the bruschetta down to the mains. There was live piano and you can tell the chefs really care about the quality of food they send out. Looking forward to coming back here one day

We ve been to Vibo a handful of times and have enjoyed the experience, which is why we recommended it when dining out with another couple. Since we dine out quite often, they asked us to pick a place. Unfortunately, this recent visit was a bit of a letdown in terms of service. Our server didn t introduce himself and when all of us had arrived, he abruptly said, since I m here, I ll just tell you the specials. While the specials sounded great, when I asked for a reminder later, he gave us an oversimplified list: cod, lamb, snapper without any details. He didn t bother to recommend anything on the menu, and when he gave us the short version of the specials, we were a little put off by his lack of effort, so we didn t bother asking for any recommendations either. There was no warmth or connection from the server, which impacted the overall experience. On a positive note, we were greeted by a very lovely lady at the front, and she was equally gracious when we left, which was a pleasant part of the evening. We opted for cocktails instead of wine, though one of our guests mentioned she would have a glass of white later in the evening. The server simply picked up the wine glasses and never circled back with her regarding that glass of wine. On a brighter note, the cocktails were great the French Martini is highly recommended, and the St. Germain m/Prosecco cocktail is nice and light as well. The food, as always, was delicious. We started with the Caesar salad (which could use more oomph), the beef carpaccio, and the caprese salad. The caprese was absolutely delicious, and the carpaccio was good too. Our mains were linguine and clams, lasagne, cod with Argentinian shrimp (outstanding), and the Zuppa de Pesce. While the Zuppa de Pesce was excellent, the fish was very undercooked. When we mentioned it to our server, he asked if I wanted another piece, but what would have been more appropriate was simply correcting the dish without asking. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding and the molten lava chocolate, and both were divine the chocolate lava cake especially stood out. In hindsight, I wish I had approached the very pleasant lady at the front and asked if we could be moved to another section with a different server. It may have made the evening more enjoyable for everyone. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is great. They had a piano player that evening, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. I m not sure if that s a regular thing, but it certainly elevated the experience. While the food at Vibo continues to impress, the service needs improvement. Service makes or breaks a dining experience, and in this case, it left us feeling a bit disappointed. My husband and I felt somewhat let down that we had recommended this spot to our friends.

This is a cozy restaurant. We had a nice table toward the sitting area that was very nice, instead of one of us looking at the wall the whole time. That was very thoughtful! We ordered Calami (nothing special) with that night spacial salad, chicken Capellini pasta and steak to share. The pasta was very nice and fresh, liked the steak too. The Martini was not very good but the Gin and tonic was very delicious. Staff were very nice, specially the ladies. I have to say that i did not appreciate the condescending attitude of the host at the entrance. Found him a bit rude!

Not too sure if it was an off night but the food was super sub par the live piano and the service awesome but the food was not worth the price.

My favourite Italian restaurant! The food here always impresses and the service is beyond your expectations. Great place for birthdays and date night.

I am an old man, and in all my years I never tasted anything as good as the bruchetta and creme brule here. I would drive for hours for food that good!!! Rack of lamb and coffee were pretty good too...but the bruchetta and creme brule? ....absolutely heavenly!!

One of my favourite places for over 40 years! Always excellent service and delicious meal. It was a special celebration and Vibo was a great choice!

ViBo always has a great meal and the specials can carry you away blissfully from your old menu favorites! I even eat the spinach the way they prepare it! Dietary restrictions: The chef is very good about working around your allergies! Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs ( except to private banquet hall) and washrooms are fine.

This restaurant is beautiful! The decor is classy and has a nice ambiance. A gentleman was playing the piano the night we went. Service was amazing and the food was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly.

I attended a dinner in their private room. To red or yellow service was great. The food was really good. Overall, a great experience and definitely need to try this place if you havent.

My Favourite place to go on date night!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal in the lovely setting that is VIBo. Our veal paccata was an splendid choice to go along with a refreshing apple pecan salad and delicious soup du jour. Agnes was a delightful server and looked after us very well. Cant wait to go back. A true Kingsway gem.

We actually came to the area to go to a different restaurant that happened to be closed and found this place instead. We didnt know what to expect but were pleasantly surprise. Decorated like an old-world Italian restaurant. The food and service were both great. Will come back again.

Our waiter was terrible he did not listen to any of our instructions he waited until the end to prepare our take out order and when I received my food I had gobs of tomatoes in it .

The service and food here were outstanding. Every dish was perfectly cooked (we were there on Mothers Day and focused on seafood dishes). It was our first time there but certainly wont be the last.

Vibo is such a timeless classic gem. The food is always fantastic. The service is always so great. We always look forward to celebrating a special occasion here and have done so many many times over the years.

Came at 5 right when it s open for dinner and was told at the door that it s fully booked for the night. we asked if we could come in and sit at the bar as we drove all the way to get here and already paid for parking. They let us through the front door. Then we spoke to the hostess and asked why we can t have a seat for a quick bite. She said it s booked for the leafs game. We said we would be quick if she can accommodate us and only then we were offered a table but told we need to leave by 6pm. First of all, the leafs game is at 8 not at 5PM and secondly there is no TV here in the dining room to watch any Tv at all not sure where all the fully booked tables went to watch the game Also, here s a picture of how fully booked they were. This was taken at 5 when we got in and when we left there were only 3 of these tables seated. The experience at the front door definitely left a bad taste we spent close to $200 for an hour at the table and felt rushed and it was even worst feeling leaving and seeing all the empty seats. Also, almost all restaurants I know have seats kept for walk ins we came right when they opened the doors. I came here before and spoke highly of this place. Will not recommend this experience to anyone especially not for the price.

Had a wonderful Winterlicious lunch at VIBO, pasta cooked al dente with seafood, lovely beet and chèvre salad. Chocolate brownie with walnuts for dessert. Great service and attractive atmosphere, would go back for sure!

It is hard to find a resturant with live piano music and the price and food are good. The severs dressed very traditional uniform with friendly smile. They make u feel like u are really being served... Whole atmosphere makes u feel like this should be a resturant look like...However, they really need to change their old dirty chair...most of them are broken on the surface....

Service and food were amazing!

When it comes to food, I am very picky. I tried their grilled calamari and pappardelle&lamb ragu. Their food is A1. But what actuality makes a restaurant five star is their service. The whole restaurant is a family itself and everyone is very polite and friendly. 5 star experience there you go folks.

What a wonderful night at Vibos. Starting off with the ambiance and the piano player was a truy elegant experience. The food was DELICIOUS! Every course just melted in your mouth. Its such a beautiful hidden gem in Etobicoke.

Ate Dinner at Vibo last night with a group of friends and we had the most incredible night. The food was absolutely amazing and our server made us laugh the whole night. I will definitely be coming back. Such a warm family feeling at this restaurant.

Had a valentine dinner. Nice location, clean, elegant environment. Tasty foods, excellent service. Not impressed when the server Z ..T brought the bill with a payment machine right after we finished the desert. We felt like we had to leave while lots of guests were present. It s kind of unexpected in a fine dining restaurant and when paying almost $300 incl. 20% tips.

Booked this place for Valentines after seeing some good reviews online. Bill ended up being $250 and they force tipped themselves 20%. They did not even have the option to remove it .... Food and Ambience were okayish but nowhere close to the price paid. Edit: Discussed situation with owner. Great management upping prices due to changing demands. Still dont believe that mandatory tipping should be added but owner had some strong justifications. Upping review.

Absolutely over the top!! I would give them over 200%. Best place to dine in Toronto. Staff is friendly, Knowledgeable, they have a good sense of humor They make the Best Liver & Onions I have ever tasted. You wont be disappointed.

Good food,service and experience

Great food, great service and great atmosphere make ViBo a great dining experience. This family owned Italian restaurant has a menu full of classic Italian dishes plus some with a ViBo twist. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. The decor and furnishings are high class and they are very child friendly with high chairs etc available. The food is cooked to perfection and the servings are plentiful. The wine list is extensive and full of variety. ViBo is Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Many dishes can be provided. Kid-friendliness: They are super child friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is all on one level with no stairs anywhere.

Elevating comforting Italian with exceptional service. Beef carpaccio, rabbit, branzino are all delicious. The cream brulee was my hubbys fav.

First time visiting. Braised beef just melts in your mouth. We had a party of 10, every plate was clean. Very friendly staff.

My husband and I used to come here for special occasions for the past 47 years. It is still a great restaurant with excellent service and great food.

Upper scale Italian restaurant, service is akin to this, food was good, but felt a little basic.

Unfortunately my experience here wasn t the greatest. I ordered the steak and decided to add the shrimp for an extra $16, When I got the plate there was only 2 pieces of shrimp. The steak only comes with fries and wasn t given any choice with the steak. On top of that, it seemed like someone just poured a ton of salt on both the fries and steak. Not a single vegetable for $46 plus the $16 extra. I definitely expect a plate with at least a skewer of shrimp for the extra $16. I also don t understand why there was soo much salt that it seemed like sugar covering my plate. Being with a table of a total of ten people, with all the money we spent it was disappointing to say the least.

Went there on a Friday night with some friends. It was busy but we still got our food within a reasonable time and it was better than I remembered it. Will definitely go back soon!

We booked ViBo for a rehearsal dinner on a Thursday evening. We had 13 people in their private room. The dinner was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Peter was our server and everything was on time and we were never rushed. Also Joy, who co - ordinated the menus beforehand was so helpful. Always followed up in a timely manner. Definitely looking forward to coming back to this restaurant.

Delicious traditional Italian food with a modern twist. Excellent service. Piano during dinner was elegant with a great selection of songs. Paulina is an amazing server. Dinner started with an asparagus, cherry tomato and Camembert salad and a lightly breaded, tender calamari ..so delicious! I had snapper with Argentinian shrimp with grilled veggies and potatoes. Delicious and perfectly seasoned. My husband had a steak with fries (rare treat out of choice). The steak was prepared to perfection as he requested. It was quite loud due to the number of large parties celebrating birthdays (just an observation, not complaining). The table next to us ordered tagliatelle with seafood in a light tomato and garlic sauce. We could hear them remarking as to how delicious it was. My husband will definitely order that next time .. We will definitely go again. P.S. reservations are a must. This is a busy place with many local regular customers.

Positive experience

Went to Summerlicious event. Good selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. The restaurant is beautiful and the best part was the piano player. He was great and played a good selection of music from different eras. I had the cured beef and greens for appetizer and it was wonderful. The beet salad and polenta fries were very good too. My entree of chicken marsala not as good. Mushrooms rubbery and sauce was just a tasteless gravy. The squash ravioli was a big hit. The star of the entrees was the pork tenderloin with pecan sauce. The lamb and fish entrees were OK. All three desserts were delicious. The $55 price for three courses was well worth it. We enjoyed our time there and I would go back anytime. Normal menu more expensive but food, service and atmosphere worth the trip. Vegetarian options: They had a few options available. Parking: Street parking that you have to pay for. No restaurant parking. Busy area sometimes hard to find parking. Kid-friendliness: Saw a couple of kids. Probably a bit too sophisticated for young kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible and restrooms too narrow for wheelchairs to have easy access.

ViBo was a very good restaurant, the food was absolutely spectacular, prices are reasonable for a sophisticated ristorante as it is. My only knock was that the music was a little to loud for ambient sound but service food and drink were stellar.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is wheelchairs accessible but NOT the washrooms, even the walker is almost impossible to squeeze in through the washroom doors plus inside is extremely small area even for two people to move! Restaurant seem to have plenty of room perhaps the single washroom could be built !? I use the walker and at each time I visited Vibo, I had extremely hard time getting in and out of their restroom. At this visit I asked the staff if there is more accessible WC they said no, they were not too interested or empathetic..

Reliably excellent Italian food, great service and ambience. My favorite is pan seared fish with lemon butter sauce. Never disappoints. Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian pasta dishes including amazing gnocchi.

The restaurant boasts a decent selection of Italian cuisine and the authenticity of flavours is definitely worth checking. We live around the area and I was craving Italian food, so we made a reservation at Vibo not knowing what to expect. So glad we decided to go here! The staff is amazing and our server was extremely knowledgeable. The place was packed given it was a Friday evening, but we had a great time there. We tried the bruschetta, the eggplant parmigiana and the pappardelle, which was delicious! We also tried some wine, which was really delicious. The beer was overpriced ($9) according to my partner, but the rest of the meal was pretty good for the price.

Always has a buzz. Good atmosphere, music, service and food. A can t miss dinner. Modern in the front and traditional in the back separated by a bar where you can grab a drink with food service.

I had an amazing experience today for lunch from the ambience, outstanding service and the authentic Italian food. It is a perfect place for lunch or dinner.

Came on Wednesday for lunch. Food and atmosphere was amazing. Ordered apple pecan salad, fettuccine bolognese, linguine marinara, and grilled octopus. The pasta was fresh and the seafood was cooked to perfection. They have a great wine selection and their grappa is superb. Highly recommend if you like quality food and excellent service.

Really enjoyed the brushketta

Decently priced Italian restaurant. Appetizers are pricey for the quantity they offer in the appetizers but the main entrees are priced nicely for the quantity they give. Not fresh in house made pasta rather store bought pasta. Tomato sauce is alright. Had the Ricotta cheese cake which tasted great. Overall if you are accustomed to great Italian restaurants, this place is not one of them.

I had my step-daughters bridal shower at VIBO this past weekend, and from planning to execution, the whole experience was exceptional! To begin, Agnese (the manager) assisted me with each detail in planning the event. She paid close attention to the details and made me feel very confident and comfortable from our very first meeting,. She was extremely professional and very easy to work with. I owe her a debt of gratitude for her patience and understanding! Then, on the day of the event, the staff that attended our party of 50 was outstanding! They were wonderful to the guests and checked in with me regularly to ensure everything was running smoothly. The food was delicious - compliments to the chef! Ive been to Vibo several times, and it is becoming The Place. Food is and wine selection is enormously enourmous. Staff though is what gives this place a unique touch. ..my name is Elvis, and I feel no short of Elvis Presley the second I walk in. Luca continues the triumphant legacy of his parents Resto (Villa Borghese), with his exceptional interpretation of what a dining experience should be. VIBO represents not only his pedigree and their aspirations but ultimately something truly extraordinary. Always striving for more and never resting on their past successes. Their menu is always evolving with fresh, local and relevant combinations. Classics are given modern inputs that elevate and amuse diners. The menu is wide but carefully curated. All dishes are presented with substance and quality. Their wine list is fantastic very approachable but also extremely well stocked if your searching for something rare and special. The service is staffed by mature fine-dining professionals, many of whom are career servers, dedicated to their craft and this institution. The dining room features an array of seating options, from booths to a stunning bar area and the front area (with fireplace) that can accommodate larger groups. The patio is around the side and superbly organized and presented with gorgeous lighting. They also offer and event space on the second floor, that I celebrated many of life s milestones. I am submitting this review having had three recent outings there and over 50 dinners there in the last decade. If you want to enjoy a memorable dinner, you will be very hard pressed to find a better Resto. Very much worth a visit. Friendly and Generous in spirit and food. You arrive as a guest, you leave as part of the family. Way to go VIBO, cheers to another 50 years in the community and city.

I would give this place 10/10. Me and my friend came here couple of weeks ago. We we re so hungry so started with a salad.It was delicious. Then I ordered Cornish Han with risotto,it just hit the spot perfect, exactly what I was craving for. Then we decided to have some dessert. My girlfriend took the cream brûlée I took the tiramisu!Both we re absolutely delicious! It s a must try dessert! I didn t know how good tiramisu can be until I tried Vibo s homemade one. Highly recommend this place. Price is not cheap, but you pay for what you get!!

The food is pretty good. A bit old school but executed well. The service staff, however, specifically the older guys, are rather arrogant. Not really all that welcoming and a bit rude. Our server barely ever looked in my wifes direction even when she was ordering. We experienced this in Italy but not appropriate for Canada. Our server also didnt tell us about the feature items until after we ordered and forgot half the ingredients as he was telling us about them. We wont be back.

We had a great experience here last week. Very friendly service and yummy food. There s a patio around the corner and a private dining area on the second floor. They also have free wifi.

Nice place. Pretty loud so a bit difficult to have a conversation. Lovely live music (pianist). A little expensive for the portion served.

We had a group of 12 of us here for a work lunch and the service and food were absolutely fabulous! Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and the servers were very attentive. The cocktails were also stellar! I would recommend ViBo to anyone!

This restaurant was such a great discovery! Inside the restaurant, it had a really great, warm and inviting atmosphere that didn t feel like a ordinary restaurant. Servers were so attentive and helpful, and always made sure to check in and see how everything was. Food was absolutely amazing the Cornish hen was so delicious with the most tender and soft chicken and creamy risotto that paired extremely well. It seemed like lamb was a really popular dish there so we also tried lamb and it blew our mind. It was cooked perfectly and very tender, and well seasoned. Desserts were really good too! Would definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu!

Went after reading reviews but didn t find it extraordinary and some servers are pretty rude.

Had a bad experience with food and service. Was visiting town for a business meeting and we went there for dinner. Food didnt taste good. Had rhe Zuppa dish. Not good at all. Fish smelled and had bones, so be careful if you end up ordering it. The minestrone soup was the only good food I tasted.. Will never eat here again. Maybe your experience is better, but mine was the worst.

Saw the good reviews and came here but sadly not what i expected. I had the crespelle with spinach ricotta filling and my partner got a classic lasagna. The ricotta filling was very dry which kind of ruined the dish and the tomato sauce was just okay. The lasagna didnt have enough filling between the layers and at times it felt like the ragu was actually a tomato sauce. Wouldve been nice to have salt and pepper at the table too. Service was very nice but the food just disappointed both of us.

Appetizers are great, mains are bland and dont taste great at all. Recommend takeout for the appetizers. Seems this restaurant has gone a bit downhill from the recent reviews.

Ive done a tour of Italy and I can honestly say that the food at Vibo is not only comparable - in some cases, its actually better. The tiramisu is identical to what I had in some expensive restaurants around Florence and Rome. Its a must get to end your meal. The wine is simply excellent. They have many selections that you cant get from the LCBO.

My family and I had an excellent time tonight! The service was impeccable, the food came to our table promptly, and tasted delicious! A pianist came in and played some wonderful tunes through the night. Thanks to the whole team at Vibo for an unforgettable evening!

Our family celebrated our granddaughters baptism in the private room upstairs. We cant say enough about our positive experience and will be sure to book our functions here again in the future. The food was outstanding and plenty of it. The service was incredible. They were all so attentive and everyone was very pleasant. We had an amazing day! Thank you Vibo for bringing it all together for us and making us all feel so welcome.
