Vivo Pizza+Pasta in Etobicoke

Delicious food, great service... but kind of a limited menu with no options for sides! Thats the only thing thats stops this from being a 5 Star for me, as Id like to have a portion of Fries or a Garlic Bread with my spaghetti bolognese or the option to add small accompaniments to my plate, but thats not an option here unfortunately.

This is the place to go! The food here is absolutely amazing, and the employees and owners are fantastic people, and very friendly, the food here is always good. You will not be disappointed.

Incredible pizza and pasta

I love the food here. My husband and I have probably had every appetizer and pasta now and most of the pizzas. They have all been very tasty and portions are a good size.

I was hesitant bc I m a snob about new places, but the whole experience was awesome. Food was exactly as ordered, hot, delish. Service was friendly and real. No fake nonsense. Atmosphere - it was busy- which is key to knowing it was going to be good. Everyone knew his or her role in the place. Mike was great (he s not Mario lol). Will be back. Often. We had pizza, pasta, wine.

This branch has perhaps the rudest staff in town. Treats Delivery guys as animals. I saw an Uber driver coming for pickup and the chef saying with hands like hush go back to door and wait. Noticed another similar incident last week. You need to treat delivery guys the right way too!

In-house oil sauce was great! It had a kick to its loved it on our pizza.

Wow, what s a great experience, small setting and friendly waiting team . Made us feel welcomed and the food was great! Had the special, lamb chops w/ vegs. Only recommendation is nicer drink glasses but again who cares, when everything else is spot on! Oh and try the Calamari

What a great little restaurant!! We were looking for a nice restaurant in Etobicoke to take my mother in law for Easter lunch yesterday and a friend suggested Vivo. We had the calamari which had some shrimp too and it was so good! We all shared some pizzas which were amazing! I had the spaghetti carbonara and another had the bolognese. Both were really good too! It s a small restaurant but great flavours. We will definitely be back to try some other items!!

Just ordered their Alfredo pasta and I was so excited to eat it but it was extremely bland, very tasteless (the only strong flavour was the pasta water). Not even joking. I ate here before with some friends and the same thing happened with one of their pasta dishes. One chef back there keeps forgetting the seasoning. I thought the first time was just a mistake but that s not the case anymore. 45$ down the drain. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free pasta

First time checking out Vivo and honestly was not impressed. The pasta was ok at best. Their pizza was a bit better but I really expected more considering it s an Italian chain. Maybe other locations are better but I probably won t take the chance of finding out. It s a no for me but their service was good and the staff are really friendly!

The food was delicious, especially the pizza. I also loved the salad. Fresh homemade tasting italian tomato sauce. Staff were very friendly and weloming. Great service and ambience. Ive been to Vivo twice now once for a work event and once personally and both times the food has been superb! Individual service was excellent the waitress was friendly and timely. It is a smaller sized restaurant so for the large gathering the staff seemed a little disorganized but not unreasonably so. Would recommend it for a casual Italian dining experience.

Weve been going to the welcoming, laid back little Italian resto for years. The food is consistent: great pizza and pasta and a perfect tirimisu.

Vivo Pizza+Pasta is undeniably one of the best restaurants I ve had the pleasure of visiting in the Toronto area! The impeccable service truly made the dining experience memorable. The pizzas were absolutely perfect, and I cannot recommend them enough. Plus, the cherry on top was the surprisingly competitive prices for the fantastic quality of food they offer. 100% recommend trying out this gem!

We have been to another vivo location and it was good so we decide to try this one. But it was very disappointing service and the food. What We like was pizza primavera which was decent and enough toppings on it. What we didn t like was wine was served in plastic water glass there were flys where we were seating. And we ordered penne vodka which was way too salty and then they made us another one which was also super salty. They didn t charged us for it. Over all not the experience we were expecting

Food is very hit or miss. More miss than hit. My spaghetti carbonara was pink for example and tasted gross.

Tried this location over the others and disappointed. Portion is so much less than the other location - for that price of a pasta dish - come on - really? The location at North York costs less and portion size is not embarrassing like this location. Also, staff not friendly - Its drop off entree and never see them again until its time to pay. Only 1 table besides mine, so no excuse. Will not go to this location again.

The issue I had was with the online menu every item is a higher price in store than what is listed online. Very disappointing when you call in an order for pick up then when you get there and find out there is a cost discrepancy all they say is sorry about that I will inform management.

I found this place to be mediocre - nothing too outstanding but not terrible. The pizza was a bit too thin for my liking and wish it had more cheese since it mostly seemed like tomato sauce & toppings. The pasta was decent but nothing that really stood out to me. Overall, it s not a bad option if it s convenient but wouldn t be a go-to spot.

This restaurant has gone downhill. They used to make margherita pizza with proper mozzarella and real fior di latte. Now its cheap American cheese yet they sell it at the same price as authentic Italian cheese. Truly disappointing...

This was my first visit to Vivo and I will definitely go back! The food was fantastic. Good portions. Good wine. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I really like the pizzas

I was introduced to ViVo through a good friend and was grateful for the introduction. The staff are amazing and pay attention to detail and make sure your experience is top notch. The ambiance is great with a modern decor. My only complaint is they could dim the lights a little more during dinner service. The food is good for the value and presentation and flavour is what I expected. Pizzas are fantastic with a great selection for vegans to meat lovers. Cheers - CS

I don t know how they got 4.5 stars and for what? Usually, I always check reviews before ordering from a new place. In this case, reviews were a total lie. I have ordered two pizzas, and they weren t tasty at all + I paid around $38. A total rip-off! Disappointed & will not recommend this place.

Great service, tasty food, good portions and oh yeah, A1 service! Called and made a RSVP with Robert & confirmed with Jackie. Also happened to mentioned to Jackie that it was a business celebration lunch for clients -one of them celebrating a 90th BDay. After pur meal, staff were so kind and thoughtful to present a piece of their tiramisu with a candle and sang Happy Birthday ....even other nearby tables joined in the singing festivities. A nice spot for a decent Italian meal, away from the busy mall and shopping area and reasonably priced. Customer service is spot-on ....just ask for Jackie or Robert...they havent disappointed on any of our visits. Thanks again Jackie & Robert for all your great service and yummy food!!! See u again soon....

Amazing pizza, excellent service, wonderful people, but horrifically expensive wine. I ordered a Primitivo and was wondering why it tasted bad and thought it was my taste buds. When I went home and checked onlne, it was at LCBO for $9.45 sold for $47 at the restaurant! LCBO charges 140% above cost, and then the brand has to make money, and come across from Europe. This is literally a $1.50-$2 bottle of wine and tasted like it. But charged like it was an Amarone at retail level. It should have been $19-$23 with the customary 2-2.5x vs LCBO pricing (restauranteur needs to make their profit too for delivery & service). Usually restaurants charge 2-2.5x vs. LCBO pricing, but this is 4.97x! Go to The Keg, an excellent Franchisor, and you will see it done right. Needless to say, I cant/wont order wine here ever again as the WINE value proposition is illogical. The VIVO Franchisor (not the franchisee/owner) should re-take their pricing/value prop strategy here. The food on the other hand, is always fresh, on par, and downright tasty. The Tiramisu is excellent. Coffee is great as well. The value proposition and pricing on food, on the other hand, is excellent and tough to beat. Been coming to this location for years and the owner and staff are always smiling and happy to provide a great meal. But if you want wine, just order take-out and then pair it at home with a $47 wine from the LCBO, and you will have a heavenly meal!

Amazing service! We ordered through skip and they waited 30 min after they closed for the driver to arrive who was VERY VERY LATE! When we finally got the food it was delicious! Very appreciative to them for such great customer service.

Great restaurant with amazing food and service. Mike was so fun and the kids loved him. Our food was excellent and served fast and hot. We sat in the back patio area and were given blankets since it was cool which was a nice touch. We will be back.

We celebrated my sons baptism with a party of 21. The service and food was great. Everyone was pleased, even my grandmother who is very picky. She ate everything. The appetizers with pizza, the pasta, and especially the Pollo alla griglia was great. We had the entire outside patio to ourselves. Thank you!

We are from Miami FL and we spent a few days in Toronto for vacation. This is a family oriented rest and it has excellent pizzas!!! the attention and service were very good and the place is really nice. We had a good time in this place.

It was very expensive for a lunch. The Calamari was over priced and chewy. A glass of beer was $9.00. I had high expectations but was very disappointed. Overall, the food was not good and it was very expensive. Parking: Parking was good for the restaurant was in a plaza.

Service: I booked a lunch here for a group of 40 for a team outing. The entire experience was amazing. Mike (the owner) was super accommodating. We took up all the tables inside of the restaurant and it was rather crowded for the staff to move around. Despite this, they ensured that all our starters and mains arrived around the same time for everyone. The kitchen staff did an exceptional job as well, you could tell it was well-organized. We had sent in our orders ahead of time and requested they call out the names to prevent any mix-ups (Yes, adults can forget what they ordered a week in advance). Servers were so warm and friendly and as attentive as they could be given the circumstances. They even tried to remember names after going through learning 40 names and got pretty good by the time they needed to serve mains. My friend asked for a box to combine leftovers of my charcuterie board with her pasta. Mike grabbed the plates, separated them into two separate boxes, bagged them and handed it back to her with a smile. When service cares more about how your leftovers are handled than you do, its seriously next level service. Food: I had the charcuterie board, caprese salad and got to try a slice of Salsiccia Pizza. All three were good enough to be re-ordered. My friend had the arancini and Bucatini Amatriciana which they thoroughly enjoyed. One person accidentally ordered a gluten-free pizza, when it arrived, it was announced that it was gluten-free to their surprise. They said it was so good that they couldnt even tell it from a regular pizza which speaks miles. The pizzas were drool-worthy as they came out, most people regretted not ordering pizza. Overall, everyone enjoyed their food. I would certainly head back in a heart-beat the next time Im in the area. Dietary restrictions: Offered gluten-free options for everything on their menu

We ordered the potato pizza and rigatoni and they were both alright. Not worth $47. The pasta was a very small portion for $19. Overall, just okay.

The service was soso even though there was only 1 table inside and a few on the patio +update Aug 23 2021 Went for their nutella pizza again and the main was also amazing! I think this is actually the best pasta place for a franchise! Great quality and taste Great atmosphere and food! Their nutella pizza is a must try and when they say that it s spicy, it is SPICY! :)

My 4 year old grandson (picky eater) had their spaghetti bolongnese & loved it, love their pizzas nice & thin & we also had a salad with salmon (delicious). Friendly staff all around.

Ordered penne with meat sauce - vary firm - I would say another 45 seconds would have been perfect al dente. Better too firm than too soft. Sauce was tasty with good amount of meat - a little on the creamy side that plain tomato sauce. Insalata caprese - nice presentation, very fresh. Prices are appropriate for the quality. Not cheap, but not expensive. $21 for 12 pizza, $21 for rigatoni, Caprese $14 Place is very small. I went at lunch on the weekend, so it wasnt busy. Would guess you would have to wait during dinner. Service is fast and friendly. Have several daily specials. Hot food was served nice and hot. We ordered water and we didnt get a negative reaction like a lot of servers do when you dont order drinks. Will definitely go again or try another location.

Great place to have lunch with lots of options. Their arugula salad is amazing. The service was great, nice environment, very chill and not very loud so easy to have a conversation where you dont have to yell across the table just to be heard.

Decided to try this place and ordered my favourite pizza margarita. Bland taste, came with a pathetic amount of basil. Guys how much is basil really costing you?? I m a margarita lover - I ve tried different ones all over the province and this one was definitely lacking If you want a cheese pizza then fine, otherwise stay away. Won t be back.

From the moment you walked in to the moment you walk out this vivo pizza Red label was absolutely amazing We had a few pizzas The margarita which is your standard basic pizza cant go wrong The spicy one with nduja They make their own nduja very spicey and not to oily on the pizza nice touch. The tiramisu was also very good you can taste it from first bite. Very good experience. If you notice this is the only vivo thats red label. Try it...

Did not feel welcome here, very odd service and felt uncomfortable here. Some dishes were good (the pasta) and some were not good at all - like the tiramisu and margherita pizza. Surprised at how they have such a high rating with servers like those, and if they haven t even mastered those basic staples in Italian cuisine

I ordered gnnochi bolognese via door dash and it is literally the grossest bowl of pasta I have ever attempted to eat. I say attempted because I couldnt even finish the bowl I paid 20 bucks for. It is so watery and greasy, so bland and unappetizing. I have had luck with this restaurant in the past but over the past few months it has been poor quality and not exactly cheap either.

I had come into Vivo for a pick up. The first thing I noticed is this place is not Covid compliant, not a single person was wearing a mask over their face (there were 3 workers). The person who was taking phone calls and handing out take out orders (bald guy, I assume is the manager), literally walks up to you without a mask and talks to you in your face. If they dont even care about these details, I doubt they care about any other hygiene issues. In terms of food, the pizza tasted okay. I also had a tiramisu, which was sloppily prepared. Not impressed.

Came in for dinner today and by the set up of the entrance we assumed we pay at the counter prior to grabbing a seat. The lady taking our order was miserable and rude to begin with. After placing our order and paying at the front - we advised them that we wanted to dine in. The lady at the front then gave us some more attitude and placed at us at a table. After having our meal in this uncomfortable environment the man serving us had the audacity to stop us prior to leaving to ask us to leave a tip in the most condescending manner. Here is a tip: if you hire people that speak to paying customers respectfully and not look miserable at their job people will tip on their own. I regret not exiting this place as soon as that woman took our order in this manner.

I had lunch here on the recommendation of my sister, who s always checking out new restaurants to try. The food was excellent and it was packed to the gills as it was a few days before the Christmas. I tried making a reservation a couple of days before, but they said it was unnecessary. I was disappointed to learn that the only table available when we got there before noon was one that was shoved against the vestibule near the entrance, because other tables had been reserved. Next time I go, I ll be sure to make a res. We all had pasta and it was fresh and delicious. My friend had brought us Christmas cookies so we snuck a few of those as we drank our lattes. It would be nice if they offered decaf as well. Most places do now a days. They are also licensed and offered a decent selection of middle of the road wines, beer and amaro, grappa, etc... If you like simply prepared, fresh pasta, salads and pizza, Vivo is a great option in the west end. Plus, parking is easier than at Sherway Gardens across the street.

The price and the quantity of food that youre paying for is not match. I had a pizza that was so much smaller than Im use to when paying 15+ dollars. Im very disappointed as I had to to Tim Hortons after to feel full. I dont recommend this place.

We ordered the Carbonara and Spaghetti Bolognes. The Carbonara was not as eggy as my partner was hoping, could be the type of egg or if the yolk was not separated from the whites, or other factors, I don t know! I m not the Carbonara expert. I was happy with my Bolognes and the fresh chili s in chili oil, there was lots of meat in the sauce which I really appreciated. Their pizzas look amazing and next time I will try those! They also have a Nutella pizza . The service was excellent, super friendly from when we walked in the door. A real genuine pride from our server. This spot is small and cozy, and it was busy by 8 pm. We will be back!

A great place! We had a pleasant, peaceful, reasonably priced meal here. The spacious airy quiet patio section is excellent for this time. Staff was gracious, helpful, willing to consider the little changes we requested. The food was very good, fresh and tasty. Will go back.

We ve always driven by and were sceptical but YUMMMMMMM is all I can say. True thin pizza with terrific toppings. Great fresh salads. Also such tender calamari with some smelts and shrimp. This lovely, true Italian taste experience was topped up with great service. Will return

Got gnocchis in Bolognese sauce... with a side Cesar salad. Both were very good and tasted fresh. The only thing hindering it from a 5 is that it kept the shaved parm on the salad instead of giving option to have it on the side and apply it as you wish. Their cheese they used was a bit strong for my taste and had to throw out most Of my salad . Otherwise, still very satisfied with my gnocchi

Food was amazing ! Nice service

The food was delicious, I dont think you will find pizza or pasta better anywhere else in the city. The wine list was excellent not what I was expecting to find. A great place for friends to meet and share a drink and a few laughs with.

We always once in a while come back here. Good food and great taste. Pizza is really the Italian one. They have fresh ingredients. You have to try it.

Fantastic spot. Havent had anything bad from here yet. Perroni on tap is perfect with every meal.

Good pasta. Really sloppy, wet pizza, the crust was soaked in the sauce and was really soggy, had to eat with a knife and fork, menu said one of the pizzas had kalamata olives but came out with canned black olives. No bread and oil for the table which I thought was off for an Italian place. Also, the place had lighting like a Walmart, very uncomfortable brightness for a restaurant

Service was 5 star. The restaurant is clean and nice inside. While the food was good (except for the penne) which I would not recommended, the sauce seemed off, the prices were really high. $60 for arancini ($13 for 5 mini/small arancini was not worth it) 2 pastas and 1 coke don t seem worth it. Overall the service is great, food is generally good, but prices are way too high.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good food! Especially their Carbonara was good!! One of the server didn t know the menu tho (she kept saying Carbonara would come with tomato sauce.. and had to tell her it s cream sauce.) Also this place was too busy during lunch time. Had to wait for so long to get my water refilled.

Ive been waiting 30 minutes for a margherita pizza. Theres noone else here waiting for food. This happens every time I come here

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Very friendly, funny. Gave us a shot of Limoncello on the house as we were leaving which was a nice touch. Would definitely go back.
