I’m still in shock about how much quality food you get for such a low price. Most places charge 16$ and up for a large but you can get their large for just 10$. Not only that but the flavour is on point and it’s cooked to juicy, fall off the bone perfection. Th mall it’s located in is a little sketchy but just ignore your surroundings and focus on the delicious jerk you’re about to enjoy. This might be my new go to jerk spot when I’m in Etobicoke. I’ve tried over 30 different spots in the gta and this one makes the top 3 for price, quality, flavour and all around value. I would highly recommend trying it out if you’re in the area. Also a construction vehicle friendly parking lot is a bonus.
I can’t believe I ordered a large oxtail and all I got was bones. Paid almost $20 to be given all bones 🙄? All the meat had fallen off and they still thought to serve it that way. Very ridiculous.. I regret spending my hard earned money there. Do better
I placed my order on Uber, I ordered the jerk large w/veggies…no veggies as you can see, the chicken? Tastes old, 2-3 days old and dry, NO FLAVOR besides oil…no jerk at all, I have no idea what kind of chicken but it’s nasty, then the “curry chicken” I’ve never seen curry chicken so white, and it doesn’t even smell like curry…This place is WEIRD I was sooooo upset of course I complained because this is nasty. Would NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN… such a waste of money. Thank goodness I got a refund.
I used to come to this location with a work colleague often. The last time I was there was just before Christmas. I got 2 orders of curry goat. When I went home and went to eat the goat, there was 2 pieces of plastic in my food. I called, left a message and said that could provide a picture and/or the plastic itself to show them... and even till now, nobody has responded or called me back. So, here's the pics of the plastic... maybe they'll see them here. The clip is just there for scale
Great portions and flavors for the price. They also have daily specials for a very good price. Service maybe a bit slow when they're busy and limited staff. Rice & peas have good texture and coconut flavors, you can't go wrong with their chicken dishes and oxtail. They are tender and flavorful.
Great spot tasty food and good service. I would definitely recommend this spot to friends and family. Plenty of parking and there are plenty of items to choose from. Thanks for the good food and amazing service I will be seeing you next time I’m in the are!! Thanks again!!!
Food was great! Fried chicken and jerk chicken was salty and had great flavor. Portions were great since it was a surprise bag. Rice was a bit dry but with the jerk sauce, helped it out a lot. Also location is in the fresh value entrance, but located across from the actual supermarket.
Man, I haven’t had good fried chicken with rice and peas with vegetables in a while. I would have to applaud my friend who showed me this place when I was here to meet a client and was told this place delivers the taste buds and cravings. For the price and the portion size, you’d be dumbfounded to not give this place a try. The only drag is it is a bit far, but worth it if you in the Etobicoke area and decide you want some cheap eats. They do have specials which I forgot as this is my second time visiting, only drag is the staff did not mention the days special which I probably would try as I’m new to the area (second time). Wondering if they have coleslaw for next time I visit. Miss the crunch. Medium Fried chicken for 7$.

This place has some of the best fried chicken Ive ever had. They know how to season the food 2024 edit: I had to change my rating from 5 stars to 1. Im not sure who they have cooking now, probably new cooks, but the fried chicken is so bad now. Like really bad. And they dont put as much rice and peas anymore

Always use to eat here ! my fiance and i will get this food for his lunch when we do not cook , however the food had become so salty!!! definitely check your pressure after eating a meal here ! some of the staff is nice people ! but the wait is ridiculous!

Delicious food, generous portions, amazing price. Staff were very friendly. Chicken was fall-off-the-bone and perfectly seasoned. Coleslaw was quite sweet and complimented the spicy chicken very well. Will definitely be coming back!
Great jerk chicken and a lot of food for the price.
i am a college kid on a budget. i can never afford to get takeout so sometimes i just browse doordash for fun but dont actually order. well i was shocked to find the low prices for this joint despite it having great reviews, so i ordered. i moved here recently from somewhere rural so ive never even tried caribbean food before, but this food was delicious. the portion is AMAZING compared to other places. think about it: you order from tim hortons for a processed meal way smaller than this only for them to mess it up most days. well this food was even cheaper than that but with yummy whole ingredients. im too full to even finish the whole thing so now i get leftovers for my next meal. thanks to the staff here as i will definitely be ordering again in the future.
What a nice little gem in Rexdale Plaza. The food is on point and price is reasonable Especially with the rise in food prices you can still get a decent size mini lunch special for $6 plus taxes. Nice that they have daily specials and then general BBQ Fried And Jerk staples of carribean cuisine. Only downfall is I wish they offered some veg like coleslaw or an alternative like a nice salad with some BBQ/FRIED/JERK chicken etc. But overall its a spot to go for affordable decent food and the unique flavour of the Islands. Looking forward to trying some oxtail and soup or snapper.

I ordered from DoorDash and never received my side of vegetables for both dinners and they tried to hide it by filling up the containers with lots of rice and less meat the oxtail and curry goat literally is 90% bones with gravy on it only one piece of oxtail had a good amount of meat on it. Also the curry goat dinner had big pieces of ginger in it. Afterwards we called to get an explanation as to why there weren t no vegetables and the customer service was GARBAGE!!!!! The lady on the phone sounded illiterate and it seemed like she didn t care and didn t want to be there. DONT ORDER FROM HERE!!!

Daily specials for $5.50, the Wednesday one is chicken poutine which is ehh a bit questionable. But I had the Monday BBQ chicken one which is amazing. Edit 1 month later: I had the oxtail it was so good I finished the whole thing. Dont come here if you want to lose weight because once you take a bite you cannot stop.
Orders some food to go. I got multiple plates including jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was flavorless and even though the chicken was fall off the bone, real flavor would have been amazing. The rice was a big disappointment because it tasted hard and dry. The portions are great but the flavor could use some work.

The chicken here is excellent. What other reviewers are saying about it is true. Ive been there 3 times now, and each time this place has impressed. Its the best chicken Ive had in a long while. (Tried the BBQ and Jerk - both top notch, especially the BBQ). Generous portion sizes and great value for your money. I was there a couple of days ago and there was a line of about 5 people, next door restaurant has 0 or 1 in line. Rice and peas are great with the red sauce. Food tastes excellent and seems healthy as well. The only problem Ive had here so far is that one time they missed giving me a side that was part of the daily special, the other time, they didnt me oxtail gravy I asked for. If you go there, double check your order before you leave to make sure you get everything you asked for. If you are the owner reading this, please make sure your staff is giving everything the customer ordered!

Their ox tail is legit fall off the bone delicious. Went to try it out this evening. Everything is seasoned through even into the bones. Very flavorful. Ill be returning

Huge portions and incredible value. By far the best value in GTA. Food is very good and service is quick. For some reasons they dont take tax (or already priced in) which makes prices even lower. My favourite spot for jerk chicken.
