180 Queens Plate Dr Unit 22, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6Y9, Canada
The number one spot for authentic Jamaican/Caribbean food and baked goods in Etobicoke for over 30 years! "Take a rest n' eat the best!"
I recently visited Ralph's, and I must say it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely amazing. I tried the plantain and ackee with saltfish boat—a dish I had never even heard of before—and it completely blew me away. The flavors were rich and authentic, leaving me eager to come back for more. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the cleanliness was impressive. The atmosphere was enhanced by the phenomenal aroma wafting through the air—it made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The service was top-notch as well; the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I can’t wait to return to try more dishes from the menu. Highly recommend this gem for anyone who loves bold, flavorful food!
Google maps took me to the delivery entrance. I had never been in this area before and called for help. Felt like a damn fool but the gal working was lovely about it. Probably the best priced food I've ever had. Ackee and Saltfish with actual provisions was so well made. Oxtail and soup were a 4/5... but I just like how my Pops makes it; still yummy! Portions were more than fair. Very clean environment. Friendly Team. Highly recommend!
My husband and I went to get some food to eat but I didn’t know what I wanted yet so I waited until he got his since we had time, when he got his food I tired the fried chicken and I was so turned off I never ordered any food for myself. My husband was so hungry he ate what he could and that was it. He was VERY disappointed and the food was OVER PRICED! $23 for a 2 meat meal. Fried chicken and ox tail, and from what he said, the ox tail was over salty!!
Ralph's had a food stall at JerkFest and I was invited to buy from them by one of their workers. Since the line up for the other food stalls were very long and Ralph's was empty (I should have figured out why it was empty), I was hungry so my friend and I decided to try them. I ordered the curry goat with rice and peas and my friend ordered the jerk pork with rice and peas. No salad was available. The curry goat was salty and flavourless. The rice and peas was not cooked properly and was tough and unchewable. My friend's jerk pork was cold and tasteless. Her rice and peas was also uncooked and extremely tough and unchewable. Both meals ended in the garbage. They were also grossly overpriced. The service was extremely slow. Lesson learned. I would never buy from that establishment ever again.
Guys! I went here yesterday (Thursday June 13) and the jerk chciken was 12/10! Like wowza I was blown away so much so that I went back today (June 14) and omg the food was just not the same. And sadly I bought for my family which super sucks because it tasted like a completely different person cooked the food 😭 the chicken just didn’t hit the same, they ran out of pasta salad at 2pm like whatttttt.. anyways will be back for the patty’s because they sell my favorite brand (Michidean) but y’all definitely bamboozled me with the food.. the dumpling is good - taste like festival.
In all honesty, I should of returned and gotten my money back for this food. This was disrespectful in my opinion whoever made this food needs to do better, this isn't quality product you serve people. It was mainly fish that was hard, salty and whatever little ackee that in it was mashout and full of bones. Bones? I never knew people still bought Saltfish with bones. Very disappointed.
One of the best authentic Jamaican dishes I’ve had in time. Boyfriend and I ordered the Oxtails, and it was delicious! Plus the customer service is friendly and wonderful. Highly recommend!
Food is delicious and the lady taking the orders is incredibly friendly and courteous. Noticed the location and decided to try it. Now, as a West Indian, most know Ralph’s for the bread and selling beef patties on Finch. Never had a take out meal there before so decided to stop by for lunch. Was pretty busy when I stepped inside. They had tape marking off physical distancing for customers. Store is pretty big, they have display in the middle of the location with bread, a few chillers with frozen patties and some West Indian goods just a little further down. There is some seating by the storefront for those wanting to eat in. Was feeling for fried chicken and rice and peas, but saw they ordered combination plates for an extra $2.50 so went with half jerk and half fried chicken. They have a side option of coleslaw or pasta salad, I chose the coleslaw. Food was really delicious. Rice was nice, not dried out, chicken was seasoned and flavourful. My only concern that the jerk chicken was cool, while the fried chicken and rice was hot. Not sure why that was, I don’t live to far. I just threw it in the microwave when I realized that. The cashier is really pleasant. She handled the busy line and was handling the calls. Next time I go in, I will ask her name to update this review with.
Seems like the recipe changed for the jerk chicken/rice and peas. Doesnt taste the same as long ago:(
Food on point!!! Every time.
Worst customer experience the lady was so rude and talking in a loud voice and the food was the worst
Wow , I must say this was by far the best experience at an Jamaican restaurant, the lady of the front was so sweet & she has the same name as my daughter (onika), the food was great but I like it spicy (they have hot sauce on the side which is really good )this is now one of my favourite spots!
The two ladies serving are so friendly and warm. This was so great compared to the reception you get a various other Jamaican restaurants unfortunately. The establishment is clean and organized, and food and products are great. First time there but won t be my last.
The beef patty in coco bread was sooooo good! I wish I got 2!
I ordered the jerk pork, it was extremely salty and 90% fat. The rice was like pudding. Waste of my $20.
Horrible customer service, Lady that was working the counter on February 1st 130 pm. Is VERY rude !!! I will not be returning. She walked up rude, I ordered some fried salt fish peices, I was met with pure attitude, she threw my order on the counter and walked away talking on the phone. I asked for 2 pieces twice she still gave me 1. I had to go back in and asked for my second piece, she didnt like that and gave more attitude. Overpriced and gross selfish. Should of never went in the first place. Do better.
Ackee & saltfish was sloppy, very oily. Still trying to find saltfish. Last experience months ago was excellent. WHAT HAPPENED
Horrible customer serive . Only using the name .. food has no taste .serve you cold food and left over hard plantain .. .serve the food like animal food.
One of, if not the best Jamaican restaurants in the GTA. I ve never had a meal or snack that I didn t like. Today I got callaloo with their in-house ginger beer.
I use to like coming here the daughter and another lady with nails are the best customer service ever now you have this rude gal that talks rude it makes u not want to come back
Food was excellent, we had ackee & salt fish, with Banana, and curried goat with rice and salad, and a side of calaloo. Everything was excellent (Callaloo I didnt care for how it was prepared Im used to it a different way) but just a matter of preference.
Service representative was so friendly and helpful. I m able to pick up all my favourite food in one place and get a hot patty on the way out. Will definitely be back to try their other food
Good food and service
Went into Ralphs today to get a salt fish fritter, the gentleman behind the counter acedently dropped it on the floor. He then went in the back room and prentend to put a new one in a bag. I said to him that just fell on the floor, he said no theres more in the back. I then said I wanted 4 of them. He went I the back again, came out and said theres no more. I have a comprised immune system, and him serving me something that fell on the floor, could make me really sick. Ive shopped there for over 15yrs. Im very disappointed with the gentleman. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE. P. S Im pretty sure the owners dont even care
A coworker of mine gave me a piece of beef patty. It was amazingly delicious!! Today I went and bought their bundle and brought it back at work. Everyone had the same reactions of the first bite. I will be a frequent customer. Thank you so much!!
Great food.
We got the jerk, chicken dinners, and I m sad to say that we weren t impressed. Small portions, dry chicken, and not very much gravy. Little flavour it had was pretty good though and I liked the pasta salad side. I don t think I would come back anytime soon.
I accidentally found these guys. There Patty was amazing. I havent tasted such kind of patty ever in canada. Very delicious. And there jerk chicken was also very delicious. Will recommend everyone to visit atleast once and then you gonna be typing here like me
I have been to many jerk stores i ordered a roti i sat down started to eat it the taste was good but here is the promblem i start eating as i start biting i nto it i hit bones not just small big one i went and asked the guy is this normal to have bones inside a roti and he said yes buddy its not my first time eating a roti he thought i was some white boy who dont know the difference dont go eat there period could have choked

If you are looking for authentic Jamaican food, in the west end, this is where its at
A cool takeout spot, or you can sit by the window and have a quick bite. Patties or Fried dumplings with fried salt fish... Best in the area. Parking: Located in a strip mall with free parking.
Gave this place a few chances. Tyad now. First off the atmosphere very clean and organized. The food department needs a major improvement. Hire new chefs. Ackee look placka placka and favor mush. No love cook in the food....ppl know trus mi. Reviews from 2yrs ago mentioned the same thing about the ackee being mush. Weh ya deal wit Ralph? The porridge them WAYYYYYYYY too sweet. The cow foot was the biggest disappointment of all my history of eating cow foot. All I could taste was ketchup. I dont like waste food but not even the dog me woulda give that. Im not trying to be mean. This is real talk honest reviews. Ralph, yuh kitchen Wan fix up
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! AMAZING FOID, AMAZING STAFF, SIMPLE, EASY TO GET TO, THE MANAGER IS BLESSED!!! HIS STAFF ARE ALL BLESSED!! BIGGEST RESPECT TO THE MANAGER AND HIS TEAM!!
Been supporting Ralphs since it opened. Even after moving out west we bought the breads everywhere that has them. The old location I was always treated in a friendly professional manner. Just got back to ontario and was happy to see they had moved and not closed. Went in tonight for breads and dinner. Apparently the cashier doesnt like white women that are married to black men. She was friendly to everyone except us. I never even spoke to her. My husband is the friendliest man ever, and she was overtly ill mannered to him. I put back my $6 juice. Skipped getting food for our daughter and myself, or the other treats I wanted. Sadly, we wont return. I dont give my money to businesses where Im treated so. Ralphs was a fond memory of our past. Until today.
I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas. The oxtail was really delicious; tender and plentiful. The rice and peas were fresh, soft and a welcome balance to the slightly over-salty oxtail. The coleslaw was crisp and fresh. The service was fast and courteous. Mouthwateringly delicious oxtail!
I have been going for years. Any cooked food or soup has been Great!!
Love the Jerk chicken here! Tender, delicious and most importantly, consistent. I could eat it everyday . Amazing value for amazing food! Wonderful staff also!
Serving The Community For Over 30 years. Ralphs Has Been An Leader For Amazing Traditional Jamaican Food.
Maybe it was end of the day but this food was more sweet vs. tasty. It used to be all star but not lacks quality and flavour.
Food was good
Amazing food!!!! The jerk chicken is the best in the city and I love that they carry some of your West Indian grocery essentials right under the same roof!!! If you have not been there already....what are you waiting for???!!!
Best Jamaican food... PERIODTTT!!!
Stuffed ackee and salt fish plantain! Boi did Eva taste nice.
In my opinion, the best beef patties in the city!! So good!
Beautiful customer service from Ricky Very patient, very polite I bought the ackee & salt fish breakfast, which was great. THANK YOU Ralph s West Indian Delights ~Tash
Very very very poor customer service. Tried to place a phone order at 7:19pm restaurant closes at 8. What is the purpose of having a phone? And on top of that; the front cashier woman is full of attitude. The one with the scar in her face. Very disrespectful. They need to let her go you don t treat customers that way. Disappointed.
Excellent beef patty s!!!! Just The right amount of heat in the spicy ones. Filling is delicious and plenty full (not stingy on the filling like some), crust is flaky and flavourful. Price is very reasonable Location is clean and Service was good and quick. Best beef Patty we ve had!
If there s one thing that always hits the spot for me at Ralph s it s that Veggie Chunks! Man the chef cooks the food with love and you can taste it everytime. This is definitely a spot you want to stop at for that perfect home cooked meal on the go!
Great customer service & amazing food
Pattie was cold, service is very slow .
I really liked this restaurant until i saw what they gave me in my box for a large meal jerk chicken i should might as well bought a small with the quantity that I received.found it really rude, especially paying that much.
No mannas. I asked a lady one question and she just hang up
Typical Jamaican restaurant attitude. Act like they are doing you a favor. Not coming here anymore. The usual younger lady is very nice.
Good food and patties is the best , good customer service
Amazing food very clean! Great service everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Nice to have an authentic Caribbean place!
They cooking for the right people here. Food is a 10 outa 10 large plate more than worth it.
Walked in to order food and there was a bit of waiting line so I went to use the bathroom. I was told that the bathroom was closed and is only for customers. There was no closed sign on the bathroom. I walked out and told them that I was going to be a customer but no longer - in fact ever.
Nice West indian dood Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Yes Parking: Yes Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
WORST RESTAURANT! They gave my friend food with no meat on the bone don t go here they are cheap and with rip you off
First time ordering through Uber Eats. Soup excellent; curry goat and jerk chicken meals very good. Portions more than enough. Will be back for their breakfast.
The Oxtail taste adequate, but the rice and peas taste too mushy in texture, seasoned too dry and doesnt have enough gravy. The coleslaw taste average. Im not impressed with a tiny piece of hair found in the oxtail. The portion is fair for the price The Small Oxtail is 11 dollars before tax. The Big Oxtail is 13 dollars before tax. They accept cards The service is professional enough but not friendly
Love their soups and always friendly
Good Jamaican food have been here twice and both times have been very happy. Have had the curry goat with rice and peas and the oxtail. The prices are good for the portions. Will be back.
Patties are really good
Good food. Great price. The porridge is proper. A small breakfast and a side porridge...belly full!!!
Great spot food is yummy, however dude needs to chill on the oil.. its a bit much.. otherwise great taste. Just put away the oil..
Great beef patties and food otions
So happy to have found your new location! Amazing food as always, friendly service and good pricing. Always been a favourite of mines, and will continue to be :)
The food tastes really good, went back two times in one week! I ordered the Fried Chicken and rice peas and oxtail gravy. Unfortunately, no picture cause as soon as I get my food I devour it!!
Awesome, fresh chicken & veggie patties! Clean store, and friendly employees.
Unpleasant employee.
Food was great ordered the oxtail, it was delicious. My co worker order the chicken roti, she enjoyed it as well but it was a little much on the oil

My favorite patty place. Highly recommended. Nice clean new location must visit if you guys come around this area for sure you will come back. Cheers
Best west Indian food spot in the Rex, good service better food. Thank you for re -opening
Unfortunately I am extremely disappointed in this portion size of food that I received for $16.00. We lived in a country that has so much choices of good quality restaurants this will be my first and last coming to this restaurant.
Oxtail boooddd bood!! Order it all the time
Good food good god lets eat
The customer service is great and so is the food.
Consistently authentic. Highly recommended
I ordered the Jerk Pork with Rice and Peas. I think they might have given me the Stewed Pork instead because it was lacking in jerk spices. However, this pork was so YUMMY...so, Im not complaining at all. Highly recommend.
