Food as told by many others was a hit and miss some things were really good like Falafel, cold app and manakkesh (although Zaatar was spread was way too little as compared to few other places I had it) . A complimentary hot bread was also provided. But a good place to have good in case you are in the area or tired after shopping at walmart or best buy :p
Honestly, I have this restaurant chance after chance. My girlfriend already won’t eat from there. The worst Paramount location. I ordered the Eggplant Fatteh, besides not following directions and putting the yogurt on the side so it doesn’t get soggy, the amount of food in the container for the price was ridiculous. Just look at the level of food compared to the contained, flat (see photo). The fries with my shawarma sandwich soaked so much oil. They looked like they were double fried. Done with this place. I wish there was an authentic Lebanese restaurant.
The food was not the same as on the menu picture at all. We ordered mix grill with bread and garlic potato but it was with just with rice. No bread and no potatoes. The reason for 3 starts rating is weak services. They didn’t serve foods simultaneously on one table. They are forgetting to serve all of our orders. And did not make up the table for serving dessert.
I came here in the summer and the food was fresh and the service was excellent. Drove back today (40 minute trip - one way) and it was completely opposite. Had a seat...no menu given. Ordered a salad and chicken shawarma and it was OLD, COLD and DRY. I could not finish my meal. I asked the waitress for assistance and she insisted that the meat was fresh. I took a picture of it, what do you think? I also ordered a grilled halloumi salad, I think the chef missed the memo about it being grilled...lol. We also ordered 2 bottles of water. It seems like someone drank it on the way to us because it was already opened and some was missing...smh. Nevertheless, management (who was on the phone, not actually in the restaurant) chose not to take accountability for the quality of food provided. It's unfortunate because we wanted to return, but that is 100% out of the question. Another one bites the dust...🤷🏿♂️
So good! My new favourite restaurant for date night! We had visited the Yonge St. location on our honeymoon week and really loved it. This location was convenient for us so we wanted to give it a try. Plenty of seating, large tables and comfortable chairs. Great, fast service and really delicious food. We had a mixed grill and labneh plate and everything was fantastic.
The is a very good Middle Eastern restaurant that is well decorated and has a decent atmosphere. The food is delicious, but inconsistent - some things were fantastic (the bread, hummus, foul, saj shawerma) while others were less of a hit (the Zaatar manakeesh as an example). The servers were attentive and helpful. There's a small indoor play structure for the kids, it's a nice touch for families.
Delicious middle eastern cuisine having a good number of vegetarian options makes it a wonderful place to change your mood via taste buds. Hummus is evergreen option here and falafel tastes very good. All other veggie options were also equally good in taste and flavours. It’s never late to visit this place if you haven’t tried here.
I brought some family to dine here after I had a great experience at the downtown location. We were greeted warmly when we arrived, but the table next to us who got here 15 mins after us got served first. The waiter also never refilled our water or checked on us after we got out food. Everything tasted great, but the tabbouleh salad we got was tiny for the price we paid. The beef and chicken shawarma plates were very dry. Not sure if I would come back to this location.
With the new management the food and service has transformed 360. We dined in tonight and the food and service was top notch. Keep it up
Edit: we decided to give this location another chance and surprisingly everything was absolutely amazing to the point where I called the place to ask if they changed management, which they confirmed. The quality and service have been night and day. To the new management: please keep your quality and customers. Its all about consistency. Im sorry I have to do this. Ive originally written a great review below as you can see, but had to come back for an updated review. This place started out great but I noticed the quality kept going down. Ive spoken to the owner multiple times to let her know my feedback. However, nothing has changed and things kept deteriorating. From mixing up orders to getting uncooked meat. There is zero consistency.. Ive been to most of the paramount locations in Toronto. This one is by far the best one amongst all. Top quality and is consistent.
The server was very rude & not very welcoming
Used their catering services and they were fantastic. Bashar was so helpful, so quick with responses and I would 100% return to them for catering. They will make sure everything is taken care of!
ZERO stars!! The most disgusting thing Ive ever eaten. Chicken dry and burnt and this old nasty flavor. Tons of burnt pieces in the wrap and FULL of OIL. Why is a shawarma wrap so great greasy?? Absolutely nasty food!
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible Food
The quality of food is low. Not my taste.
This location is so amazing, I really liked the food and the service. I d say the best place to try middle eastern food in a clean and well decorated restaurant 2024 update: still impressed with food quality and service. Hummus is so creamy, fresh bread, Falafel and chicken are highly recommended. Kunafa in a bun desert is a must try
The staff were super friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I am happy to support a business that does so much for the community!
Enjoyed food... good prices for what you get... was aliittle cold inside!?!... the service was good... young people need to remember what we ordered!... but otherwise great!!!
The food was great
The house specialty is antisemitism served raw, in generous portions.
The food was nice 7/10. They offer you the barbeque platter, they forgot to bring everything comes with platter, you have to ask them. The Service was good, the guys they are happy to serve you. Price are good. Parking: Location was perfect, allot Parking spaces. Next to the Restaurant. Just Park and get in the res. Kid-friendliness: I Can give 3star over all.
Amazing dining experience, highly recommend!
Horrible! The quality has drastically dropped.. everytime we decide to give it another shot we regret it ! The f
so sad we asked for hot sauce which they gave but in the bill at the end they charged for it - very dishonest for not saying about this charge or even documenting on their menu Well at Pizza pizza are honest and say the charge upfront and is documented. Your menu does not say this and when we visited 3 weeks the same hot sauce was free - so inconsistent.
Food is good, but take out is an absolute nightmare. Theres an 80% chance that the order will be inaccurate and youll be eating half of what you ordered.
We came across Paramount at Humber Regional Hospital food court. Easily the star of that location. When my mother spotted the location on The Queensway it was a MUST VISIT. We went for a slightly late Christmas dinner. Both had the BBQ. shrimp. An absolute delight of a meal. The meal was perfectly prepared and served, the service was exactly right. Prompt but unobtrusive. Not a fault to be found. Our Server was Ahmed. Courteous, polite, helpful, no sense of rush or hurry. Cannot find sufficient superlatives to describe the experience from beginning to end.
$13.55 for almost empty, small shawarma sandwich, miserable place.
Best food best service Ive ever had in my life these other reviews are a joke if youre looking for the best food youve ever eaten in your life eat here
Very bad experience. I went there with my friend today around 7.30pm, we ordered 2 chicken sish wrap, and a halloumi salad. After we ordered, another server came to take the order one more time with the server we already placed our order?! Even tho 2 people took our order, they still managed to forget our salad. We received the food but not the salad. We asked them to cancel it because we were already done with eating. Before we leave we asked for another chicken sish wrap to-go but we received chicken shawarma wrap instead. When we ask the server to change it, the other server came to our table with the shawarma wrap. He was extremely rude. Even tho I didn t ask anything about the bill or the payments he acted like we were trying to get the meal for free. I paid the bill, and left. Horrible experience, rude server. The other servers were okay, but he said he was the one who is in charge for serving and he said the other people were runners . This store has a big management issue. And don t go there if you want to be treated like kind human-being.
Very very very bad service and behavior of attendees specially naghem. If you dont want to upset please dont visit them. Food
Really tasty good. Good service and family friendly. Good prices.
Decent food that we ve enjoyed tor a long time but but the quality and quantity absolutely does not reflect the price increase this place has seen. I get that food prices have been going up everywhere, b t the extent to which it s happened here strikes me as exploitative, especially for a chain. To bring up an example, we bought a couple of chicken skewers for 17.99 total. What we got was 8 little cubes of chicken weighing 155 grams in total. This wasn t an error on their part, this is just how much chicken comes with the order. In no universe is a 20g cube of chicken, about a bite, worth over $2 unless that chicken is the last one on earth. This is just one example, multiple food items here reflect this pricing. Paramount is a great place with some great stuff on its menu and great service, but unfortunately these price increases are making us have to consider going elsewhere for this kind of food.
We went for dine in, despite of giving them precise instructions about our order, shish tawook was extremely well done and dehydrated. The server clearly didn t like it and throughout the time we kept receiving weird looks. Even my mother noticed that. Had to send it back and wait for 10-15 mins for food. While were still eating, the servers started picking dishes, utensils and food. There were quite a few empty tables and they were making it seem that we have to leave soon. I asked for the bill 5 times and no one came. We left very disappointed and don t see my self going back to this location again.
Amazing food!! Mezza Plate very tasty, hummus with beef very well done, and the Baklava cheesecake is so far my favorite dessert!! The best location! The only thing that they could do was put some music in the restaurant!
We got here at 9:30pm and the kitchen is already closed? so why are you stating on the website that you are open till 10:00pm? This is not how you do business Rima! if you own a restaurant make sure to live upto the brand reputation!
Bought 3 meals and some sides for takeout. Wasn t given any napkins or utensils. The food sucked and the fries were not edible.
very very friendly, beautiful waterfall at the entrance, good food
Amazing food and staff!!
Phantastique vibes. Amazing food. Thank you Rima and stuff for this organized event.
Great place and atmosphere . Excellent food as well!
amazing service!
There was an even and they did a very good job setting everything up. Good food, good service, good time
Great place to eat Middle Eastern food. Amazing place lots of choices for everyone.
Had beef Sharma and Fries. Sharma was filled with cold and old beef places Fries were not that great sadly :( Food
Today I had extremely bad experience in paramount I asked chilli pickles and girl was came with extremely bully behaviour and she said she daughter of owner ,nothing is free here u have to pay ,now u guys tell me for 2/3 chilli how much should I pay and why we r already paying with that and they give only I chilli , owner daughter who is serving there today should b learn first how to work and how to behave with ppl in work place. She must b have bad manners and belong from cheep thinking or backwards family,I was going there since 6 ya and today was last visit. They increased prices a lot ,not worth with this kind of service ,they want only money and don t want to give anything, not recommended ,bad behaviour Answer: Hi owner why u make wrong stories I didn t bully with anyone u or ur daughter only behave badly even all staff that day scared bcz of ur daughter behaviour, and this thing happened first time only that day ,anyways I don t care for ur lying answer and we and our family and friends stopped coming ur so cold nice restaurant ,we r happy our manners, Kid-friendliness: Just closed ur restaurant
All the food was very cold. The potatoes were hard from the boil, so I ate a little because it was a lot. I was hungry, not more!!!!!!! Paramount on Scarborough is amazing but this one
Great day shawarma
Great restaurant and food options, best bread on earth, and amazing service!
The worst restaurant. Food was served cold and employees were very disrespectful. Never again!!!
Food was cold when I complained. The owner yelled at me
Excellent service and the food was delicious. Over all a 10/10 experience
Never step a foot in this restaurant ever again! Very disrespectful and food was disgusting!!!
Do you ask us for an honest evaluation of this restaurant, okay? The food is not good, and the owner of the restaurant and the staff are immoral to you with the locks of this restaurant if your manners are like this. My visit to you was the biggest mistake I made, and thank you
Always happy to come here to eat with my family. Food is delicious. Tables are clean and servers are friendly. Always leave fully stuffed and having to take food home.
Great food!
Visited this Paramount location for the first time. Ample parking, very clean restaurant, friendly staff and delicious food. Lots of choices. Cant wait to try the lamb next time.
Best food ever. The staff are so friendly, its like a home away from home!
Very good service . Authentic cuisine and friendly staff
Parking: lots of parking space
Tasty food especially cheesy boat chiken
Amazing food Parking: confortable
Good Kid-friendliness: Play area is good Food : 4/5 |
Got two beef donairs. They tried to murder us with onion can still taste it the next day. Beef was hard and stale. Go somewhere else if you can.
Great service and food. The bathroom is always super clean, most of the food is authentic, and servers are fun to interact with. This time, I had the mixed grill plate and halloumi salad. The halloumi was literally melting in my mouth! The mixed grill couldnt be better! Perfect score!
A fantastic experience and the food always on point with flavours and service
Great food and Ambiance
Such a good location, the staff is really nice and brought our food in a timely manner. Will definitely come again! Parking: There is a lot of availability with parking spots and that it is always open
We enjoyed a nice dinner here this evening. The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and Kafta plate were excellent. Very fresh taboule and great flavours.
Excellent food and service! The location is clean and inviting
This is the best location of Paramount, the food is very flavourful and tasty as always. We ordered 1/2 BBQ chicken, lamb chops, fattoush salad and Kinafe Nabulsieh. Everything was delicious and very fresh as usual, but the price of $29.99 for the lamb chops is too expensive. There were only 4 small sized chops and the rest of the plate was filled with fries. Overall, great service and friendly staff, I thoroughly enjoy our experience every time I visit.
Awesome food as always! One of our favorite restaurants, we can highly recommend it
A wonderful experience, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and its highly recommended.
We just had one of our best experiences here, we had shish Tawuk and lamp chops and it was just amazing and yummy, and the staff are great, for sure will come back
Came in with a friend into the restaurant. We were set down. The menu was thrown to us On the table and when asked for a second menu the person walked by us numerous times. The restaurant was not busy. After waiting at the table 10-15 min of no one coming with the menu or taking any orders we ended up walking out. It looks like they want you to leave.
Amazing restaurant to dine in as we were 18 family members dining in and the service was fast and aqurate, the food was so yummy and atmosphere were finominal, excellent job guys keep on and Million thanks !!
Bad service, The hostess was weird, he was just pointing to the tables to sit at and followed behind us instead of showing us the way and while we were getting our appetizers we had to wait until the server would stop ignoring our calls to ask for some utensils The food portion is not worth the prices, would just not recommend to anyone.
Worst paramount, there are way better Paramounts around, trust me I have worked in one Service is pathetic and owner has no idea how to handle customers or even talk to them. One star is for the kitchen staff who try their best
Too expensive compared to others with similar food quality. The app is bad, almost useless. To the owners, you had a good start, the beef shawarma wrap used to be around $6-$7. Now it is $14 for just the wrap! WHY? I appreciate there is inflation of 30%, yet not 100%!! Using the paramount app. Wheelchair accessibility: Not possible, their door has a problem and they know it and have not done anything to fix it.
Owner daughter have extremely bad behaviour she is not leaving in this planet ,she is not belong good family ,I asked her oil for hummus and she said didn t open food bank ,if I want pay for it now u guys tell me how much I pay for some olive oil , we spend 90$ and this is what I heard ,totally dispointed ,not recommended,I read some reviews owner also is so rude and say to everyone they r bully ,why u didn t see ur and ur daughters behaviour, friends stop going this Etobicoke location, not recommended disrespectful behaviour, Dietary restrictions: Please close this one v bad beh and so expensive totally not agreed prices with bad behaviour
Very good food and service
We moved to Etobicoke from downtown during the pandemic and really missed having middle eastern food within walking distance. Once every thing opened again we tried Paramount for the first time. Anytime we suggest going out for food my children ask to come back. I love the all vegan options which make it easy to eat there if you have egg/dairy allergies. There is an indoor play area for children but we have never used it personally. Bathrooms are clean and service is fast (as it can possibly be) even when packed. It has been consistent in terms of food and service. We will keep on coming back.
This location is so dirty, staff just walking around can t even clean tables or floor. Disgusting! Cauliflower dish was black, over cooked. This place used to be good not anymore.
This was our first experience at this particular location, the service was a little slow, but overall the food was amazing and tasty. But they we re very busy, so I could understand why the service was a little slower than normal, but once we placed our order the food came out immediately and it was hot and very tasty. I will be returning because I ve had their food at weddings and other social events their food and presentation was always exceptional!! Thank You
We loved Paramount until today when we ordered hummus and bread and they packed the bread in a plastic bag instead of a paper bag like before and the bread was not even eatable. It felt like eating a dough. It was all wet because of the steam we had to throw it in the garbage. Not acceptable at all especially for the price we paid!!!
The worst shawarma, I ever had in my life. They would have told us if they are not interested or they dont have enough ingredients to prepare.
This pitiful excuse for a Halloumi skewer was a $10 add-on to my salad. This is price gouging at its finest. Between your disgusting price increases, the way you almost always get something in my order wrong and the mediocre food and service. I m done eating here.
We had a gatherings there today, hosted by Tripolians in Toronto.. All went extremely well, thank you to the management and staff for give us an excellent service and a memorable day.. we will be back .. by the way .. the food was A1
Disappointing Went there with my husband. He never tried middle eastern food before and I surprised him, remembering that Paramount used to be one of the best in the city. Not anymore. Food tasted good, bu both main we ordered were cold. Not even warm. Chicken and beef shawarma mixed plate was dry. Chicken part extremely dry. His Mixed grill plate was alright. Cold but alright. Beef tasted nice, but he had stomach problems a few hours after. He said he is done with this food for a lifetime. There are several places in the city for more reasonable prices and much better quality middle eastern food. Unfortunately after this, I wont have company to visit them.
The food is fantastic here. The garlic sauce they have is so good. Also tried their homemade juice which was excellent and not sweet. Love going here for dinner.
The decoration is always elegant and shiny as well as the seats which are very comfortable. Me and my family were immediately greeted and shown to our seats or were met with our server who was very nice. We always served fresh and delicious pita and we ordered the hummus baba ganoush to accompany our pita which reminded me of my grandmother!. We also ordered two types of manakeesh (cheese and za atar) as well as shish taouk and fatoush, a salad with fried pita. All the food was amazing and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable and perfect when you went with your family or friends. The prices were fair for the types of dishes. This restaurant will remain my favorite, nothing can match their atmosphere, service, etc. Additionally, in my experience, some restaurants have a large childrens play area that is well separated from the dining room, allowing customers to enjoy their meal in peace.
Good food and Excellent services But the so different in Ramadan More expensive
Tasty Kofta and soup.
Terrible service. I asked for qatayef in the middle of Ramdan and they said they dont have it even though they had it on display, very lazy workers. And contrary to their response below, they didnt offer to make me any, I never said I was in a hurry. So these workers are both lazy and dishonest. Also, why on earth would you have food on display that you dont serve?
The food is very salty. Too the point you dont smell or taste the vegetables anymore. Many of the ingredients were burnt -both the meat and the vegetables. The service was slow and not well timed (food came before utensils, plates and napkins. I asked 3 waiters to bring us what we needed and it took 10-15 min until someone arrived. The atmosphere was calm and quiet. It was not loud and not crowded at all. With so many Canadians observing Ramadan, I expected this.
Always leery of an Order Counter. But years ago, before Covid, there was table service even while there was such a counter. However, today, I walked in at 11:00, nobody around, grabbed a menu, sat down, was astounded at the prices, and as nobody came to me, went up to the counter, stood there for 5 minutes, saw two women and a man behind the kitchen counter, and at least the two women saw me, but still no reaction. So I left, went somewhere else and shall not come back here for a year or so, to ser whether somebody learns what to do with a customer.
Had a great time eating with the kids. They have a play area so it is perfect for parents to just sit back and talk while their kids play. Great healthy food!
The food here is extremely tasty! We enjoyed the eggplant hummus that was the highlight of the meal! Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Very friendly staff and a wide variety of options. We will be back for sure!!
Unfortunately the standard has drastically decreased over the past couple of years. Prices are very high compared to the quality and portion of the food. But above all the service was terrible. We were seated in an area away from the main dining section. Once seated, we didnt get noticed or served for 45mins. After our order was placed, our food came at different times and by the time we got the various items it was cold and dry. I dont think Id come back to this location and would not recommend it either. Very disappointed, Paramount was one of our favorite places.
I had the worst experience with Paramount today. I have tried another locations but this time it was the worst. The customer service was very poor . They were literally throwing things and food on the table. The food was cold and when we asked them they refried the food that was immersed in oil and burnt them. The potatoes were cold from inside
I tried this paramount location for the first time. The quality was so poor and the service was worst. Our server was really rude to us when we complained about food and she started making faces. We went on the day of Eid to celebrate our festival but it was not at all delightful experience.
I really like this, food always tasty and atmosphere warm and welcoming Vegetarian options: Lots of dips and salad options Kid-friendliness: Play area for kids
Worst service, we were not served water, bread or cultury for 30 minutes waiting, finally went to counter 2-3 times and we started getting things. All food was arriving at different times such as falafal and hummus came and we had ask for bread multiple times waited another 15 minutes, still no water served. The owner needs to hire more staff and improve the service. The food was good but we could not enjoy our experience.
Where to start, food was excellent, thats it. Plates were dirty, so was the cutlery, water tasted like soap, no refill, washroom were a disaster, were seated to eat by the take out section and skip the dishes drivers on dirty plastic chairs from outside, I drove 14 hrs, craving for paramount good food and friendly service. What a huge disappointment. I took a few pictures to share with the manager, and she never returned my call. Last visit to this establishment.
Blant food. Quality has gone down since it started, and worst customer service. We basically had to chase down the server for food. The restaurant wasnt busy at all. Interestingly enough Arab family next table was served promptly. I suppose you have to be an Arab to get good service. Evidently, im not an Arab. Im not going there again. Overall experience was disheartening, to say the least.
they have become miser , no bread or hummus and chicken is very burnt and thin . Food is pricey and quality not same as it used to , very disappointing
Delicious food and impeccable service. Ill totally go back when I can!
Reason for the 3star is that the portions are very small for the money. It was tasty but we will not visit again. The chicken dinner for $22 was a small skewer with little rice and an onion. Also got a wrap for $13 and it was tiny.
Not so great experience. Shawarma and fries were cold, staff was stretched even though it was not super busy. When we pointed out that food was cold, the server just took it without an apology. He was even eating himself casually near the counter, which is definitely not a norm in the restaurant business. No follow up by staff on any table. No manager on duty, even though it was a Saturday afternoon, to help staff. Then came to realize the owner Reem manages it herself. Im sure she had other places to attend since it was the weekend but maybe put someone in charge to manage things while you are unavailable. I have eaten at their other locations which are pretty organized compared to this one.
I asked for 2 chicken shawarma wraps with no garlic or onions and I got a dry rap with chicken, pickles and lettuce. Completely dry! I expected some hummus and tahini but the wrap had none of it. I wasn t offered sauce options so I assumed it would automatically come with the sauces. Quite disappointed and won t be getting a shawarma from here again
The lentil soup wasn t fresh at all. We didn t get any bread. It was simply sad. Wouldn t go back.
Order two salad on Ubereats for $25 dollars each and they were the size of my hand with almost no meat (10.99 for added chicken). Robbery.
Our first visit to this location was very enjoyable. The service was efficient prompt and with smiling face that made us more happy. The food was delicious while the server helped by explaining the dishes that were suitable for us being vegetarian. Over all we had nice dinner and at reasonable price. The place is big enough, nice ambience with patio outside as well.
Missing items from order and have not seen the waitress since she took our order.
We spent over $40 for the two most driest and smallest shawarma wraps I ve ever ate in my life. It was like the size of a mini hotdog what kind of wrap is that. And the tabouleh was absolutely disgusting. I ve been here many times and I ve never been this disappointed, I was shocked. I highly recommend to read the reviews before going to a restaurant. Especially the Paramount chains to ensure they have good reviews. Will not be back here again.
We asked to sit outside because the smell of smoke indoors was intense. Outside seats and table were dirty and no one bothered to clean them before we sat. My sister ordered a mankushe and then asked for some veggies for it on the side - they bring a plate of dead mint leaves, 5 slices of cucumbers and 5 little green olives and add 8$ to the bill (literally more expensive than the actual mankushe). Whatever happened to hospitality and service? if you re going to do this you need to at least let us know - out of good service (this obviously is not about us paying 8$ but the principle idea is just cheap)
Do visit, good food
Small portions for the price you pay but really good food.
Paramount has gone down hill. Bad service portions are insanely small and over priced. I m paying $50 for a kofta plate and some mango juice. They charge $7 extra for a side of fries and $10 for mango. They are so stingy that when I ask for 1 extra bread for my Uber eats order they won t include it and don t have any options on the app to get extra bread. Not to mention portions have halved in size and service is terrible. Surprise anyone still eats here.
Very nice new location with good quality food and service
The meat is so juicy. One of the best BBQ I had in a while.
Very poor customer experience here. When I asked to clarify something with my order, the server just walked off and then promptly told me I could not stand next to the shawarma station. Where exactly am I supposed to stand if I have a question? Lol. Ive been eating at various Paramount restaurants for several years but the staff that work at this one are extremely unprofessional and rude. Will not be coming back. edit: I was not in the kitchen, I was beside the area where you sell Sweets. Are customers not allowed to be in the area where sweets are sold? How should we buy or know which ones we would like to buy?
Beautiful place indoors and outdoors. They have tons of parking. The food is elegant and delicious. Customer service is a top notch as well. They have small kids area to play. Food
Its a great restaurant.
I had the displeasure of visiting Paramount to eat Shawarma, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a disappointment. From the moment I stepped foot inside, the lackluster ambiance screamed mediocrity. The service was subpar at best; the staff seemed disinterested and unbothered by my presence. As for their so-called signature shawarma, it fell flat on all fronts. The meat was dry and tasteless, lacking any hint of seasoning or flavor. The pita bread they used was stale and chewy, making each bite an exercise in frustration. To add insult to injury, the price was way too high in comparison to other high quality shawarma!!So much for the promise of a flavor explosion! Save yourself the hassle and skip this establishment entirely; your taste buds will thank you for avoiding this grim culinary experience.
Great food and atmosphere
Literally the best Middle Eastern food in the Toronto! Vegetarian options: Both Veggie and Vegan options. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids play place inside the store
I really liked this restaurant. I found the Mezza, the grilled meats, the bread and the rice very tasty and the price reasonable. The service was good and quick too.
Food - 5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Service - 5/5 (it was not very busy at the time) The best middle Eastern cuisine in town! Hands down! Their vegetarian feast is amazing! Friendly service by everyone. Its a warm feeling in here.
We came for breakfast right at 11 am when they opened. We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere we liked. The employees were courteous and helpful. We were 2 families 5 people each; 6 kids and 4 adults. We placed our order within 15 mins, the food started to come out. It was presented nicely and was good. While the level of lemon in some dishes was high in my opinion some on the table enjoyed it. Overall we had a good time.
The best Middle Eastern Restaurant in Toronto... The only place we go to to enjoy quality Middle Eastern food... My favourite... LOVE IT...
Brother Amirs hospitality was 5 star . Food is always top notch.
I m sorry to gave this start but it was 5 years ago the best restaurant in Canada now the werst restaurant in Canada the food not coked enough plus the chicken too bad
Tasteless food with very high prices. They must stop the business
Well I love Mediterranean foods but this place disappointed me in many possible ways. Firstly the food was just average and not worth the money you spend on it, not to mention the sparse quantity of food you receive. We ordered a platter which was missed to be served but we got something else we did not order with the Arabian Icecream - a food worm (from the pistachios I guess). The service was good and they immediately apologized and replaced it with an in house Kunafa and Barklava cheese cake which, again, was above average and not meeting expectations. Both quality and quantity are lacking here. Sorry for the harsh review but hope this helps to revisit your standards.
Absolutely delicious food. Nice staff, beautiful restaurant. First time eating here and it was beyond my expectations
Plastic, old chicken, unfresh !!
Got Chicken Shawarma Main with rice and fries. 1st thing I noticed was the amount of food you get was SIGNIFICANTLY less then before.. I got like 8 pieces of fries for something that I paid 22+tax on.. Way to overpriced.. Go elsewhere for more portion and better taste. I asked for house special hot sauce when I got there. She did give me but asked why I didnt tell them over the phone... Bro... you just had to get it out of your mini fridge.. whiney and lazy. In response to the owners response. Let me clarify, I already called ahead of time for pickup order with hot sauce. They provided 2 little cups with 4 chicken shawarma mains. So if they initially charged me for the 2 HSauce and give me 2 additional ones without charging. The maybe staff needs better training and also consult with client how many HSauce they actually need. Lastly for that price, I can get better quality and quantity elsewhere. Will not be coming back.
The food here was not bad. The Yalla special was exactly what I was craving fries, sauce, and that delicious chicken shawarma flavour. This dish would have been phenomenal if the fries were hot and fresh, but unfortunately the fries were cold. The chicken bbq dish was pretty good as well, lots of flavour. However, the overall dining experience was poor. Had to ask a few times for water, which was served lukewarm. Our meals came out at different times as well. I would come back for the food, but not for the dining experience.
The food was delicious. Best pea soup and falafels ever. The patio and indoors are beautiful. Indoors is really clean. The service lacks a bit. I needed to ask them to clean the table (blackened by road dust). I also craved a beer but couldnt have it since the place is halal, aka they do not serve alcohol.
Very expensive- chicken shawarma was dry - I fear this may close down soon like other branches in mississauga-
Food and service top quality.
So, my sister and brother-in-law were excited to try this place (for delivery) since they live in the area. However, we had an unlucky and bad experience. The website is so confusing to navigate and clearly doesnt account for combos in the itemized receipt. We apparently ordered 2 x No thank yous. I had ordered the meatless shawarma plate and got it as a combo with a drink (which they never gave us since they merged the price of it into the price of the plate instead of itemizing the receipt as shown online), with a side of fries (also didnt give us the fries for some reason). My fiance ordered a falafel wrap. My sister ordered the chicken shawarma wrap that was a combo (which her items were itemized and not merged like mine was), and her husband ordered a meatless shawarma wrap. Since we were all separated due to covid and quarantining, we took our respective food (wraps were in labelled bags (chicken, falafel, meatless) and my fiances wrap was labelled as a falafel wrap on the bag but was actually the chicken shawarma wrap, and my sister had gotten the falafel wrap. There was no indication on the wrapping on the outside of the wraps which also didnt help the case. So, my vegetarian fiance ate the chicken shawarma assuming they messed up and gave him the meatless one instead due to how the bag was labelled. So, not only did they mess up on which wraps were in what labelled bag, but they also didnt give us a side of fries and a diet coke that we had ordered and paid for, lol. The food was okay, Ive had better mediterranean food, but it was nice that they had another option besides falafel and offered soy meat instead. They might be better in person, but with how annoying and confusing their website is to order from, I dont think Ill be ordering from here again. Proceed with caution. Vegetarian options: They offer soy meat shawarma as well as falafel.
Lovely service. The food was amzing! Food
Great setting and staff, restaurant is beautifully adorned and the food was beyond delicious!
I ordered a Falafel wrap in person at the location. Even though the order was placed correctly (it even says Falafel wrap on the bill) , the order was swapped with a wrap with meat in it. I did not find out, until unfortunately I took the sandwich back home and had a bite. I then returned to the location to ask for a replacement, which I was provided( after being told I cant get the replacement since the kitchen is closed but I continued to demand). I wasnt initially going to go in detail about why I gave a low rating but I saw another review mention the same point where a vegetarian was served meat and the staff needs to understand this is not acceptable.
Best place to eat middle eastern food in the GTA! Try their dips salads, they are to die for! The Hummus is silky and delicious! The mixed grill platter is a good size and will fill you up! Their chicken is marinated and cooked to perfection and the kafta, you ll lick your fingers after you finish eating!
Varied menu. Spacious restaurant. Friendly service.
The best middle Eastern food ever , I made the reservations for my daughters wedding rehearsal dinner and everyone loved the food. The service was amazing, the food was excellent and I highly recommend this restaurant, thank you so much Rema you are amazing.
We went for dinner here based on having dining in the other locations and this one didnt up to the standards of the other locations . The food was really flavorful and presentation top notch l, fresh pita, and huge portions to share.. What was disappointing was the service level and the restaurant was not clean, dishes left on the tables and the male servers were very unfriendly. We will not return to this location, but go to the other ones were we felt welcome and service was good.
Disaster! I just spent two days vomiting and bouts of diarrhea after eating at this place on Thursday. I knew the chicken didn t smell quite right but figured it was the different spicing. Never again!!
Food came fast, but no one cared to come to the table after. We had to ask 2 different people for bread and we never got the bread until I had to talk to the manager. By the time we got the bread, the food was cold. Terrible service overall. Will never go back and will never recommend to friends and family.
Our family has come here many times in the past but it s really gone downhill in terms of portion size, price and customer service. It came to a head at the most recent time we went. We came with our 3 year old daughter whose meal didn t show up until everyone was finished eating. We had to follow up numerous times with the two servers. After the first time we talked to them, we felt like we were getting more attitude than help. The only exception to this was another server/manager(?) who was apologetic. After this, our two servers didn t return to our table and sent someone else. To top this all off, we had to pay for the meal our daughter didn t eat because she had to eat from our plates.
Expensive for the food you get!
Beef shawarma was good, but on the small side 7/10 Food : 4/5
2 chopped up pieces of falafel for $17 folks Edit: the item was falafel salad consisting of nothing more than what is in the picture. Tasted great but value for money is horrible!
A perfect place to taste the Mediterranean cuisine. It is a good place to go with friends and colleagues for a dinner or lunch
It s my go to place for a quick filling meal- the kebab platters and veg platters are delicious!
Missing our YoungEg location Really enjoyed our takeout from this location Food
Very good meal and very good service with Fatima. We had a good time with our friends and our children
Excellent service. We went there specially from Kitchener around 9.30 pm which is pass there last call time; but owner still accommodated us. We were warm welcomed by the staff and food was super delicious as always and fresh. Owner himself checked on us many times and made sure if need anything else. Recommend highly if your looking to enjoy food and best service.:) Thank you again
Came here with a large groupe. Servers were kind and helpful, and the food was delicious. Thank you
The food is sooooo good. Great place to take the family or meet up with friends and make great memories.
Halal dishes. Very delicious food
Its unfortunate that the quality and integrity of Paramount has gone down recently. We have been loyal customers for over 10 years but off late have found that the food quality has gone down and they have become stingy on basics like sauce and bread that come with the meal. This is especially bad for take out orders. Very disappointing considering what the franchise stands for. Editing to respond to response - Ive never had to pay for 2 garlic and 2 hot sauce tiny tubs for a $100 plus order. I will be taking my business elsewhere, lots of excellent restaurants to support.
I went yesterday with my 3 kids, we enjoyed the food it was so delicious: the mixed grill , the shish Taouk and the cheese manakish. Each time I go, I enjoy more than the last time. The staf and the owner are very friendly and awesome .
DISAPPOINTING SERVICE!!! Had to ask for water thrice before it was finally served. Our first order was late and it was delivered to our table without any cutlery or plates. Asked twice for them and by the time it was finally delivered, the food was cold. Had ordered a drink which was never delivered but was included in the receipt. And when I pointed it out the server went back and came back with an updated receipt. Throughout the whole process no one bothered to acknowledge any mistake let alone give an apology. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!!!
I had the worst experience in this place! They brought me food with a hair in it. They simply took it back, never cared to apologize (or literally said anything at all), then they brought the food back in 2 minutes saying it was freshly cooked. Billed me in full, never offered any discount or whatever. A simple sorry would ve worked as well, but seems it s too hard. Been there twice, the girl waitress is VERY unfriendly, never bothered to smile even. She looks like she s doing you a favour by serving you. Never going again.
Very bad taste and too much flies in the restaurant, I dont recommend
My wife and I got food poisoning from this restaurant wouldn t recommend this place.
Amazing food and service! My wife said it was the best falafel shes had outside of Lebanon
This place is the worst ever seen!! Why im saying that, i use to order over 4rth time the food always been late, cold, and not a value of money. So disorganized place, so dishonest people as well. Definitely not Recommended this place, guys do not wast your time
The most stupid food they give me old food
I had cheese manakeesh, it was fantastic.i asked for well done (crispy) and it came as I asked.
One star is and thats being generous, service was bad and food didnt arrive on time and was cold. Stay away.
It took too long for the food to arrive and half the order was missing, service was very bad. I wouldnt recommend this location.
Honestly. I get less and less impressed every time I order. I love the taste of the food but it is so expensive for not much. I just ordered the beet salad which costs $18 plus tax and the container wasnt even half full.
This place has always had notoriously terrible service until they hired Amir. Provided the best customer experience Ive had in a very long time and restored my faith in this place. Thanks so much Amir
Delicious food with great service and menu in a warm atmosphere. We had mezzes, the mixed grill, lamb chops and Kunefe. The food exceeded our expectations!! Fateh and Rima, the owners, were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!!
This paramount location at queensway is my favorite one but Im disappointed now. Yesterday I ordered some manakeesh and fries the manakeesh dough was so bad and it was hard .it should be fluffy and easy to chew and the bread also. The fries was not fresh looked like reheated and so oily.. I hope they will read my review for better service
Havent been to Paramount in about five years. Thought it was a sure bet. First the good stuff. Food is delicious. Staff is very friendly. Now, the bad. Loooong wait times, broken table, dirty tables around, staff very friendly and nice and equally useless. They messed up the order, brought food first and forks and plates 10 minutes later. They are clearly understaffed, but thats hardly an excuse. I really hope they improve and arrive back at a great place they once were.
Amazing sauce and spices. Try the beef malalekeesh. You will not regret.
I am a huge Paramount foods fan. I usually refrain from posting negative review about a business because it maybe a 1 time thing but this 1 star is specifically for this queensway branch. So many things went wrong: Entered the restaurant with wife and 2 kids. The host told us washrooms are out of order (no issues things happen) I was like I am ok as long as we can wash hands. No one came for the order (I went to the order and pay station but was told to wait at the table and someone will take the order) than after 15 mins of waiting order was taken. My staple favourite has always been hummus topped with beef and a chicken saj shawarma. Like we ALWAYS order that and for kids we do pepperoni and veggie mashrooha. Hummus topped with beef came I was shocked at the quantity the hummus barely covered the base of the plate I swear barely covered it like 2 mm off the base of the plate (is this a joke $20 for cold as hell beef and negligible hummus) I have had this dish may be at least over 200 times in the past it is so filling and wholesome but this was an absolute joke! I had to unnecessarily order a beef saj shawarma just to fill 1 person appetite. Saj chicken came absolutely cold fries and chicken in the shawarma seemed stale. I returned it. The new one they brought had exactly same cold fries but shawarma was warm. Saj beef was a cold block of ice too same with fries by this time I had lost all appetite and just almost threw the food. Oh yes! Waited half and hour just to get the check! Never ever again at this branch. This branch should be shut down because it is bad for overall paramount business. Thank God it was a personal visit. If I would have brought my clients here it would have been hell embarrassed.
Love the food here but seriously everytime we order takeout online, by the time we come to pick it up they havent even started making it. I would come more often if the food would be ready on time.
Paramount is always good if you have serious bbq meat cravings. Their hummus and mutabil is top notch and bread is fresh and warm.
Great service Parking: Lots available Food : 4/5 |
The most authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in Toronto. Love it.
Loved it.. Happy to spend my Birthday eating amazing food..
Went today with family, ordered shrimp platters. Must say very pathetic food, shrimps smelled weird as if they were lying in the fridge for months, and they were too salty to consume. When we informed this to one of the servers she bluntly said we don t marinate the shrimps as it is a food chain everything comes marinated we just bbq them. I don t know whom to blame now. Ruined our Friday night with such inedible food. Charging $26 for oIIne dish which isn t even filling and tastes weird? Completely disappointed. Never ever going back again Update- All three of us got food poisoning after consuming their food. Its not just about the salt, the shrimps were stinking because they were lying in the fridge for months, And for the franchisee owners who are offering me baklava, I will give two baklavas as there are two owners instead of money when I visit next time , cool?
Worst customer service. We dined in on Sunday 11/07 and we waited for 30 mins before a server came to us to take an order. We then ordered for Beef Shawarma and after waiting for about 30 more minutes they bring us Chicken shawarma explaining the delay was because they were waiting for a new shawarma skewer to cook. But we had originally ordered Beef LOL!! and the rest is history. The host was not ver accommodating as well
Portion of chicken is a lot smaller then it used to be. The delicious pickled veggies were replaced by burnt grilled veggies. Used to love this paramount. Unfortunately I wont be returning.
We arrived late and they stayed to provide take-out for us. The hospitality was wonderful and so appreciated to two tired and hungry travelers. The food was also amazing! Fresh and delicious. Im so excited to know there is one closer to home, Ill definitely be exploring their menu further and look forward to dining in!
We are (sorry WERE) very big fan of Paramount foods but unfortunately, from past two times we are having bad experiences. This time they charged us extra for pita bread. The rice was cold in the chicken shawrama plate. No pickles were served. Food was served first but had to wait for the cutlery to b served for atleast another five minutes. No paper napkins were served with cutlery. We took our friends who are new to GTA but were pretty embrassed at overall experience as we used to talk a lot about our great experience @ Paramount Food.
Embarrassingly small portion, especially given the price. Gave a grilled 1/4 onion as a side, thanks guys! Will not be back, advise you do the same. Update: As a bonus, gave our family stomach aches.
Service is not very good here, also got cold food and the pickle was rotten
Delicious meal. Loved it!
I ordered the veggie platter and while having my 2nd bite, i found hair in the falafel. They went ahead and without a sorry just gave me a new one. I didn t want to eat after that hair i the food. after that they have the bloody audacity to put that on the bill and when i asked if this is their customer service the server told me he could give me a complementary baklava. i asked him to keep his baklava and their food with hair to themselves. Never going back to them. Horrible customer service and courtesy.
This review is directly related to their very poor service. I would give 0 if that was an option. The food might be good but the service leaves a great deal to be desired. (Ignoring the 10+ minutes we were ignored on arrival - and the restaurant was not busy at the time ). Our mains arrived missing one entree (which at the moment was not a big deal). After 15 minutes we flagged this to a server to check on the status. Nothing happened after 10 minutes so we spoke with another server who sent our original server to our table. They arrived, and didn t seem too concerned. I then asked them to remove the item from our bill. This also took nearly 10 minutes. This is not our first experience here, but unfortunately this is similar to our previous visit. If you have no issues with indifferent or incomplete service - give them a try. There are enough other Middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto that I would recommend you pass on this one.
I heard a lot about Paramount. Today Dec 18 22 went for first time got 3 chicken Shawarma there was barely chicken inside them very disappointed
