This place actually serves the best Portuguese chicken. We get the grilled chicken with sides. It s always very flavourful and the staff are so pleasant always. The best part is that the grilled chicken in BPC turned out better than the grilled chicken we had in Portugal.

When this place first opened up it was a go to spot. I haven t been in a few years but I got chicken, basa, rice, potatoes and salad. Price was a lot higher than I remember but I guess that s to be exit these days. What wasn t was the freshness everything I ordered tasted like it was hours and hours old. Chicken pulled from a warmer. Potatoes shrivelled. Salad starting to brown. Rice was old. I came at about 4:30 so you d think that s leading up to prime dinner time and food is at its freshest. It was not. Thankfully I have better spots near me these days.

Ordered catering for 80 ppl. Added cod fish tray extra. Absolutely amazing. Food was incredible (esp the creamed cod fish), staff was friendly. Would highly recommend. Also have chafing trays available which is a must for a large gathering.

Ordered on Uber eats extremely dissatisfying, caldo verde soup tastes like boiled kale and water 0 flavour beyond watery I don t even think they use potato in it . Sand which tasted like old vegetables and so soggy can t even eat it chicken is also freezing cold . 0 effort canadianized Portuguese food would avoid .

Got the meal with the whole chicken, potatoes and rice for two through Uber Eats. The rice was pretty good, potatoes were alright. The chicken was good but I think Sobeys chicken might be a little better when it comes to flavour definitely not the best Portuguese Chicken(coming from someone born and raised in Portugal) I have tasted but it was pretty alright if you re starving I guess.

The chicken is excellent as are the sauces and the potatoes.

We ve been looking for a Portuguese restaurant in Etobicoke for some time. My husband is Portuguese. Our first meal at BPC chicken told us our search was over. The chicken was fall of the bone tender and the potatoes were perfectly prepared. The tarts were also excellent. Highly recommend.

I have been going to BPC for well over 5 years. The staff is always welcoming and very friendly. Always nice to see a familiar face. The hot table and food options are amazing. Definitely have to try the shrimp patties! Amazing chicken, if you can call ahead I suggest trying their grilled chicken option. Most places serve up bland rice and potatoes but BPC never disappoints! I could live off of their potato s. I can officially say I am addicted to the sauce and ALWAYS have a bottle at home. My family and I frequent here at least 2-3 times a month! Definitely my go to spot in the GTA when I am craving some Portuguese take out.

visited this restaurant to try something different while on vacation in Toronto. The rotisserie chicken was absolutely delicious and flavorful, the potatoes were cooked to perfection however needed just a pinch of salt, and the rice just missed the mark on seasoning. Im sure they hold back just a little on seasoning because they have a wide range of clientele that they service.

This place has changed a lot. I spent over $75 and they charged me extra for the foil container. They also charged extra for olives on the salad when most Portuguese restaurants include olives on the salad.

Dont even bother going to the Lockport location while their original place is under renovation. Showed up and asked to order. She said someone would come. Waited 5 minutes so I called the BPC number and said go to the front cause I want to order. Clearly they prioritize their delivery services and not customers. Should not be so hard to give you my money. Been going to BPC for years, love their food but even that is not worth the horrible service. I shouldnt have to call the businesses number when I am already at the location to get service.

Ordered the half chicken meal. The white meat was great but the dark meat needed to be cooked a bit longer in my opinion and the rice needed salt. Their sauce was delicious. Portion size was also very good. The temporary location has lots of potholes so be weary driving there.

Used to go to the queensway location, but they never updated anything on google maps. I travelled from Vaughan and not only is the queensway location closed . This location is also closed. If they can t even bother to update their hours and inform customers then I will no longer support them. Thanks for wasting my time .

Amazing customer service and the food is delicious! We will definitely be coming back. My husband and I had the pulled chicken sandwich on fresh Portuguese bread with some olives on the side. The chicken was tender and juicy, the bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the leafy greens and pickled onions complimented the chicken so well and of course the delicious BPC sauce was chefs kiss! The pastel de natas were perfect especially with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top! Thanks again for the wonderful customer service and delicious food! We feel like we just walked out of grandmas house, happy full belly and never empty handed. Thanks again Kyle and fam for dessert and the BPC sauce!

I ordered a family combo and not all the items were given. I called and left a voicemail no one called me back. The pickup is so terrible so your food can get cold, as its very busy with multiple restaurants sharing the same pickup window.

BPC catered a company lunch for us in April and it was fantastic! Everyone loved the chicken and sides, and it was nice to have lasagna and salad for the vegetarians. I would highly recommend their catering services.

Good spot for grilled chicken and sides. The flavours were good and they serve at your table. The staff was good too. My wife and I shared the quarter chicken breast meal only. The bill came out to $19. A little pricy for 1 dish that we shared.

Friendly happy staff! Chicken is really the BPC Best Portuguese Chicken in town! Juicy delicious and spiced to perfection. The sauces are - mild to hot. It s best to buy a bottle and add it to your favourite dishes. I had my order to go and they line their container with leak proof paper! I was happy to come home with all the juices not soaked through the container. Thank you BPC for being so conscious of this!

Great food.....nice to have a Portuguese restaurant in the neighborhood.....little pricey....I can get as good on Dundas or Dupont cheaper...... 4 years later ,gave it another try. Now meals are ridiculously overpriced and the chicken is dry. Certainly will not give it another chance.. Go to Cawthra and Burmanthorpe and youll see the difference. youlsewhgood

After their recent Reno in 2023, their price went up from $30 to $39 for a whole roasted chicken plus 2 full size side dishes. I always get rice and potatoes. Their chicken falls off the bones. So yummy! But I was really disappointed that I almost ate a rotten potato.

Ive been going to BPC for a few years now since moving into the area as its one of the few Portuguese spots available. Although their food is usually great (Uber Eats delivery can be a hit or miss), their prices are getting a little out of control. Their portions have also been lacking lately. If Im paying $16 for just potatoes, I expect the container to be full. Ive also noticed a big disparity between the prices on Uber Eats and in-store. Its surprising to see a half chicken meal priced at $32.99 on the app, while the same meal costs $22.99 when ordered directly at the restaurant. I believe consistency in pricing across platforms (or not that big of a difference) would greatly enhance the customer experience. Not sure whats going on lately, but I wont be coming back until management considers addressing their high menu prices.

Food is okay but extremely overpriced

Good mid week special for the family. Full chicken, rice and potatoes is our go to. Get a sauce with it. We found piri piri was more spicy than their hot, both very good.

While in store I said for sides, no potato, only rice and salad, but it turned out only potatoes and salad, there s no rice at all.

I love their house salad dressing and never thought Id enjoy a mixed been medley in a salad but it just works and tastes amazing. I was a regular customer at BPC Chicken for many years so enjoyed their food and the owners are awesomeand the food is ...so delicious and then i moved to New Brunswick in 2019...well I will be back in toronto next week for a visit ( November 2023) and i have to say one of the first places i am so excited to go to is back to BPC! . doing the Happy Dance as i am so thankful they are still open! I see a few bottles of their unigue Peri Sauce in my crystal ball ...so will have a little of them back here in N. B as well. If you have not eaten their chicken with their Peri sauce...what are you waiting for? best decision you will ever make!

I walked in to purchase a chicken and potatoes. The service was quick and food was ready in no time. Brought it home and it was delish! Would go back.

I recently ordered a meal for delivery from this restaurant, and I have to say I was quite disappointed with my order. The chicken portion was surprisingly small, leaving me feeling unsatisfied. To make matters worse, the salad included seemed to have been sitting for a while, as it didnt taste fresh at all. It definitely wasnt worth the price I paid. Additionally, the hot sauce they provided turned out to be just your standard Franks hot sauce, which was rather underwhelming. I ended up eating both meals because my girlfriend didnt want to finish hers, and I was still hungry after we received our delivery. Overall, I wouldnt recommend ordering from this place if youre looking for a satisfying and tasty meal.

I get there no order ready and just told by the owner it will be a few more mins. Next time you say it was busy with the total of 5 people in the restaurant. Dont keep promises you cant keep. I was at the restaurant last week and placed an order of 4 quarter legs. The server was going to get them when the cashier said something in their language. I could understand just by the tone of voice. The server made me wait for a few minutes to check then came back to me and said they dont have any but the whole chickens left. I was having a craving for the quarter legs and they disappointed. I recommend you should always ask for confirmation what they have available before ordering. I will be ordering chicken from their competitors from now.

I would not recommend. Terrible service. We phoned ahead for our order, and then had to wait 40minutes when we came to pick it up. The girl working was extremely rude and unapologetic. She told us to go and wait . They had not even begun to prepare our order after 40 minutes. Rude to all customers, and the place is very dirty. Avoid this place, their is better Portuguese food in the area.

We have heard great things and we were looking for a proper Portuguese chicken joint. Having been disappointed, we set the bar low. I was pleasantly surprised, chicken was spectacular as was the rice and potatoes. Id pass on the bean salad. The custard tarts were very tasty and reminded me of the ones we had on our most recent trip to Portugal (@minho bakery). We picked up New Years Eve and it was incredibly disorganized with many items missing on my order. I chalk this up to the amount of customers. Staff were great with the exceptipn of the older woman working the counter, she shouldnt be representing the brand (i dealt with her when placing the order and then picking up). Aside from that, would definitely order again.

Been going to their Queensway location for many years, but stopped being a customer after several chickens that were dry and overcooked. Visited their temporary location today to pick up a chicken. Not only overcooked, but also extremely salty. My wife could not eat it. I understand restaurants are in a challenging time and I dont mean any disrespect, but I want to leave honest feedback. Please reduce the salt content of your chickens, otherwise I will not return.

Different concept for takeout then usual. No actual store front. Pretty neat concept because many restaurants were under one with their own kitchen. As far as food go the food was subpar. The fish was in a plastic container which caused so much condensation it became soggy. The potatoes were a little mushy. In my own opinion it did not taste much like Portuguese Chicken or the sides. The Portuguese tarts were good though.

Ordered food for a large party. A BPC employee loaded the food into my car for me, on top of a towel and a cardboard flat. The BPC container leaked absolutely everywhere, and completely ruined the entire interior of my car. Oil absolutely everywhere. This will cost me a lot of money to repair, I m very disappointed in the carelessness of the packaging.

I received an order delivered by Skip The Dishes and the food arrived cold (delivery person was delayed picking up the food) also items were missing. The fish was undercooked. The chicken was ok, the bean salad was ok. The order was missing the potatoes, rice and salad. The kids ended up eating a peanut butter sandwich from home

Edit, I am updating my review to something that is more fitting for this place. We order here quite frequently, probably 2 or 3 times a month. This is one of my favorite places to get quick food. Food is consistently good and for the most part the quality of care is fantastic. Also affordable, there has been a price increase as with most food places however the quality has not changed. I had one issue recently that was quickly rectified by the manager and has no lasting effects on our business here. They are kind of hidden currently on Shorncliff, it makes them a bit harder to find but its definitely worth the trip. Especially for their Tuesday and Wednesday family specials. In the winter I suggest the soup for sure. I usually have my husband pick up soup once a week in the winter from here. same price as the local chicken chain, but I assure you its fresh and not from a frozen block or powder mix.

We ordered the pull chicken sandwich off uber eats. There was a big bone in the sandwich! By big, I mean the half the size of a finger. There were also very tiny bones in other sandwiches. They must be using a machine or something to shred the meat. Because how the heck do you make make a sandwich by hand and not notice a big bone? The potatoes and tzatziki was delicious, no doubt! I will def order the potatoes and tzatziki again. But stay away from pulled chicken sandwich unless you enjoy chewing bones or choking on one. Perhaps they could do away with pulled chicken and either use slice chicken or minced chicken.

Love this place! Portions are generous. Chicken is delicious with the sauce. The salad was great with a tangy dressing. They have a dessert called Heavenly cream and it s a must try. The service is super fast and friendly too.

Located at Islington and Queensway, BPC Chicken does provide a tasty product. The chicken was cooked to perfection and juicy. The parisienne potatoes were garlicky and delicious. The salad was a nice side with good dressing. The hot peri peri sauce was good too. Generous portions and fair prices are a bonus. The dessert was good too.

First time visiting after hearing amazing reviews. Unfortunately the food tasted awful where the chicken was bland, the potatoes were tasteless and the rice seemed it sat for a few hours . Whats even worst Is I had to wait over 25 mins for the food. I generally dont write reviews but this place was very misleading.

They even gave me a free cool T-shirt for stopping away. The Staff know their stuff, lab tested, verified, government regulated product. I love the potatoes with chicken and rice

A few bites in right now and the chicken is fantastic! Its moist, spicy and flavourful. I ordered the quarter breast with rice and potatoes and every element of the meal was excellent! It hits the spot and I would definitely go there again. Im glad I tried it.

I got take out, the young girl that served me was very friendly and helpful. The food is good, not crave-able but it s still good. I would probably ask for more sauce next time, it ties everything together nicely.

Their spicy garlic sauce is the best Portuguese chicken sauce Ive ever had. We buy bottles - so good!

Ive been craving a good protugese food for sometime. After moving to the area and reading some good reviews on BPC I decided to order. 4 months ago Unfortunately, the chicken was bland, the potatoes were tasteless and the rice was stale. Overall, not a fan.
