I ordered a small jerk chicken today with oxtail gravy. I open the container I had no chicken! I got a jerk chickenless meal. I ordered it to go so by the time I got to my destination I couldn t go back. I was so upset! Didn t expect to eat vegetarian jerk chicken -_-

Absolutely delicious! Love this restaurant and they re so consistent with the taste/flavours.

Food is good, service is terrible. The make things worse, there s a man that often panhandles outside and inside the restaurant saying he needs money for a patty at Jane Finch???

No one s there. The store was open, I went in stood for 10 mins and rang the bell for service twice. Saw a person come put an apron on and just walk away.

Great place to grab Jamaican food at a price point

The place is usually quiet but they could stand to play some engaging music to promote a more positive experience. I also have been verbally abused by a man that regularly comes in begging for change. The staff did nothing and continue to allow him to panhandle inside the restaurant. Also, the bathroom is using dish soap for handwashing, barely any toilet paper and I heard rumors that a customer once found a dirty feminine hygiene napkin left on the counter. When she complained she was treated rudely by the staff. I come for the breakfast porridges only once in a blue moon out of utmost convenience.

Twice been here for the shrimp curry and rice&peas. So good! Im not sure about others experiences but my food was prepared quickly and the person at the till was friendly. Definitely recommend.

Hands down the best Jamaican restaurant. I ve tried several things off the menu and I ve only been highly satisfied. I drive 25 min to their location weekly that s how good it is !

The worst peanut porridge ever.

I wish I could leave a more positive review BUT I can not lie. I ordered a large goat with rice and peas and colesaw (cabbage) on the side. Soooo the goat needed to cook for another 30 -40 minutes was a little bit tough. The rice and peas was NOT peasing... no maam. Di rice did sour! The amount of gravy they put on the the rice I wonder if they had tried to conceal the sour scent??? Thats a possibility. Honestly this was a complete waste of $20 with the exception of the coleslaw... highly disappointed. Jah kno, Jamrock!

Being that it was Sunday I wanted some Oxtail. My husband and I drove to this restaurant and ordered a small oxtail and a medium curry goat. Got the order went to the car to eat the food and realized we got a small and a medium oxtail instead of the curry goat. Husband didnt want to bring it back and decided to eat the oxtail. Halfway into eating my food I found a hair on the piece of oxtail I was just about to put in my mouth. Being that we were eating in the car in the parking lot I took the food and went in to show them. The person at the counter took the food went to the back and after a while came back out and said he said what do you want him to do about it, not understanding what she meant I replied excuse me, she then responded what do you want him to do? Do you want a refund or something. I then responded that my purpose was to inform them so that they can do better next time. And I walked out of the restaurant leaving the cashier with the food with the hair in her hand. As a person of color and someone who supports this restaurant regularly the respond of what do you want him to do about it was a bit distasteful. Had they come with a different approach such as how can we make it better or how can we rectify it would have been a better respond. My only intent was for them to be more diligent and observant when preparing food.

While 876 Jamrock offers decent tasting Jamaican food, the service of the kitchen staff in fulfilling orders is atrocious. Not only do they get the orders constantly incorrect, plating and packaging of food is not worthy to be presented to an animal. They will not refuse an order if they are out of the item, instead they will serve you the bottom of the pot wether it s burnt or just bones. They also have the tendency to mix up orders, so if you are taking out you may reach your home only to realize that you have indeed gotten the wrong food items. It is quite disappointing that with such pleasant counter staff the kitchen staff is so incredibly incompetent.

If you dont have 20 mins to waste dont go there. No one in the line and it will take u about 15 to 20 mins to get your food. Service sucks big time.

Not very happy about the way in which this restaurant has deteriorated in good and service. I ordered some items and a macaroni salad 2 nights ago...as I got into my car..I always check my food..I open it and it was sour like sour pasta and mayo..I immediately returned it back and got a 2nd one..same sour so the chef and the cashier both smelled the ones they had in the glass case..they both staring at each other like dears in headlights..so you mean to tell me they eat and serve sour food? There is no way mi ah leave from Oakville come to Etobicoke fi sour food.They offered a refund I declined as this wasnt about money..I got 2 salt fish peices instead..that I took home..as I reach in and open it .was un - edible..way too salty....atleast taste food before you serve to the general public.I pinched a peice to makesure my nose was not tricking me..it was not..today ah 02/19 and this salt fish is in my compost bin. Im super disappointed and will not be returning. I can forgive but once you get a taste of the staff attitude you would rather starve than get treated like that. With a beautiful name 876 Jamrock...the vibes arent too jam rocky? All Im saying is cook better..put labels on things ..for example all mcds have expiry time for their apple pies...why u nuh have labels for highly perishable foods? I would like to see how this review is handled as I said mi nah come back here b4 mi get poizn fi talk truth. I love my Jamaicans but ..yall really need to up the customer service and improve on the cooking.With much respect.

I have never left a review for a restaurant before, but I had to for these guys. I ordered food on skip the dishes and it was taking long for a courier to pick up the order which is completely understandable. But for the long wait time an extra porridge was included in my order, which I appreciate a whole lot ! This is not the first the time this restaurant has showed me above and beyond in customer service. Keep up the great work !

Best macaroni salad ever !! We got some with our bbq chicken dînner and had to go back just for more macaroni salad it was that good !!

They had a tent at Kingston fest .. the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced.. I literally paid for my food was given a receipt and when I went to collect the food the girl took my ticket walked off started serving other customers and then came back to ask me what I ordered when I told her she blatantly ignored me then and I reminded her I gave her my receipt she swore I didn t then I told her she put my receipt in the back pocket she hit so rude stating mi nuh put nuttin in that pocket the proceeded to give me one food when I paid for 2 food , 2 soup and a bottle of water .. I had to literally yell to get any attention then she shared the food and instead of handing it to me she put it off to the side and I literally had to ask if that was my food . No manners and once I got my food they refused to give me my water implying I should be happy I even got the food NEVER AGAIN!!! Just worse experience ever .

My absolute favs are their jerk chicken poutine & soups (chicken & goat)! Customer service is always great as well.

Best of the Best especially when you get the Ackee&Saltfish in the mornings,. The Oxtail is one to die for, you go to try it. Number 1. Parking: Highly accessible, but some construction right now (Oct 30/2022) Sunday.

The food was really garbage. I found a hair in the chicken curry roti. And the shrimp is not even cook good. Never again. Jam rock your place is a waste.

Jerk pork full of fat

Disappointing. Ordered a few things, ackee and saltfish, calaloo & saltfish & the escovitch fish. The ackee and saltfish plate was bland in taste, the salt from the fish was boiled out, putting fried dumpling with thr ackee was a nono - it got soggy. The calaloo and saltfish again was bland in taste,nyhe banana was bland in taste & the banana was a too soft. The fish tasted sour.

The food was really good

I just have to say I drive from Mississauga just to get their food. Price is reasonable and they give a lot of food for your money. The macaroni salad is sooooo good. The staff is very nice and polite. Recommend this restaurant.

I don t like going to Jamaican restaurants because their customer service suck which is really disappointing but I must say 876 is a cut above the rest, and I appreciate the time they took today to ensure that I was satisfied... Guys if you want some good steam fish and crackers 876 Jamrock is the place..

Visited the location on Finch but the customer service from the girl taking the order was very rude and dont seem to have the knowledge of the food servef. Although the food may be good, I dont think I will go there anymore

Recently moving back to the neighbourhood and I would often drive past this restaurant and always wonder , how is the food? finally decided to stop wondering and give it try. The verdict you ask ? I rate it 10/10. While I ve only had the breakfast on Sunday Mawnin lol. I must say I ve throughly enjoyed !! I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks 876 JAMROCK.

Order the fried chicken & Rice &peas IT WAS SO BAD I HAD TO THROW AWAY 4 meals Not one person in my home would eat it . I had a hard time believing this is a Jamaican restaurant. Tasteless fried bones and some nasty cole slaw with dry rice no taste . Waste of money ....... places like this make me scared to try new places I will stick to (living well restaurant ). Totally gross !!!!!!!

my second time ordering from here, i got the half pound fr chicken with festival plus goat head soup....i requested extra meat and paid for something else to cover the charge. Adrian is a sweetheart who not only gave extra meat but the soup is amazing....ill definitely be using this spot as my go to moving forward.

They definitely specialize in their soup , every soup I had been good ! Pepper shrimp GREAT portion & tasty ! Food wise, needs more seasoning great portions though.

I ordered food off skip the dishes and it wasn t the best there was no gravy and so little chicken then what I usually get never ordering food from here again I ll prefer to walk in the food does taste good but I think it was rushed that day

I ordered a large oxtail with rice and peas, the meal was 90% rice with a bit of salad and extremely insufficient meat and almost no gravy. I gave 2 stars because the service was not too bad, but the food was not reasonable. Oh, also the rice was exceedingly hard.

The most disgusting food i ve ever had! chicken and sauce tasted like goat, chicken was all pink and just gross to look at, as well as them giving me the smallest sizes for a large. Festival wasn t cooked through and was dripping in oil. Garbage. Gave it to my dog.

I eat at 876 Jamrock Restaurant for breakfast and lunch often and really enjoy their food and service however this time I decided to use this restaurant for catering services for my moms milestone birthday party and Jamrock FAR EXCEEDED my expectations! They were accommodating even though they had a big weekend of catering orders, the food was delicious and Adrian the manager was very professional and hospitable. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Of all the jamaican places I have been to, this is the only place that is always consistent. It is amazing fresh food, loaded with flavor. It has become my favorite spot, so much so that I drive an hour just to come and get it! The daily soup or stew chicken has to be my favorite, but everything is good.

The food is really good. I cant complain in the least. I always bring a friend with me and hes never dissapointed (and hes the type to speak up when hes not happy). Ive brought food home for my family and they really enjoyed it. I drive an hour just to get some real authentic Jamaican food and its always worth it. Friendly staff too, which you dont always get.
