Being one of the best Ghanaian, African restaurant in Toronto we are happy to serve you all your favorite food from the motherland. We can also cater for all your gathering for a reasonable prices.
Food is good but we ordered light soup with fufu and got pounded yam instead. We called and spoke to the woman about it and she was apologetic and we understood they would be making up for it so we put in another order. When we came to get it the man had charged us full price. We said we expected some sort of discount and he responded it’s too late now and we could get a couple drinks if we wanted. We won’t be returning.
Great food and great service. Very welcoming environment. Everyone was very respectful.
Honestly I use to love waakye from this restaurant… but after how I was spoken to on the phone today I will not be going there AGAIN! You can have good food BUT make sure you also have good customer service!!!! I called to order peanut soup, the lady asked what I would like with it, so I said rice balls -with a nasty tone she replied “I don’t make rice balls” so I ignored the tone and asked politely what it comes with …she than said “I don’t have peanut soup😳😳😳😳 SO WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME WHAT I WANT WITH IT…. So I politely hung up!!!!!! WHATTTTT?!?!? Customer service is EVERYTHING! And we need to do bettter!
Had lunch with the family at this restaurant - our experience was fantastic! For a ton of Ghanaian food that we ordered, everything was ready in less than 20 mins and tasted delicious. The restaurant is super clean and the owners were extremely friendly and welcomed us warmly. For the service and food, I highly recommend the restaurant!
Absolutely BEST Jollof ive eaten in Canada. Im a huge fan of jollof so I’ve tasted it all.. Aunty Lizzy’s food is indeed worth the hype. Chicken was well seasoned and moist too. Plantain and beans were excellent as well. I would love to use her restaurant for catering one day. Thank you!
Mainly takeaway-place I guess, but you can also eat there if you want - thats what we did, when we took a little side step from our biketrip along Humber River to have lunch at Auntie Lizzys Kitchen. And it was worth it! Great Ghanan style food, kind service - what a nice place and unique food. Some dishes are hot, f ex Goat Soup (kind of chili-hot and plenty of ginger) and some are milder, like the Jollof Rice.
I drive 2 and a half hours from a different country to come eat here the food is very fresh and clean and as soon as you walk in you feel as if you are home. I've brought friends, loved ones and family, and Business ran by hard working and caring people. As for the food is spicy reviews I don't get it because authentic Ghanaian food is spicy, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions. In my opinion this place is a 5 out of 5.
I really love the food but it’s too spicy. My family is thinking of not buying there anymore because all the dishes are super spicy. We love pepper but the pepper from Aunty Lizzy’s kitchen is way too much!
Excellent service and tasty food
Best ever Ghanaian dishes. Don t take my word for it, just go try it.
I really like that food here. I m just disappointed because found out the food is microwaved. You can deny it if you like but last time I got food the middle was cold and I heard a microwave
Don t bother going to this restaurant . Food is the worst in Toronto .I belieave is for alcoholics so if u one then that s your place but other done that go anywhere but not this place . They even have palm oil ( the red oil ) in awaakye and I bet u to try that because that will make you not eat awaakye again

The taste of food and presentation was so amazing. The customer service was also the best. I highly recommend this restaurant for excellent quality and authentic African dishes.
The food is spicy but so delicious. Would definitely recommend. The family that owns the place is very sweet too.
Great Ghanain food. The jollof rice and chicken brought back memories of living in Ghana. The owner is a very friendly and pleasant lady. Her shitor (pepper sauce) is very good and authentic, as well.
Her waakye is really good and the place is very clean.
The food is very nice, I ordered 2 things, beans and plantain, and fufu with light soup. The food was good but the light soup was too pepper for me. Otherwise very good and very clean place.
