TLDR: Fantastic service, Keg prices, Jacks food, and 90s Diner decor and seating. 6.5/10 Service was phenomenal! Food was pretty good, but a little pricey for what you get, ESPECIALLY the ice cream. The atmosphere is very 90s Diner-esque, but the music is just a bit loud for casual conversation... everyone has to raise their voices to be heard, even at the same table, which raises the general din of the room. Vegetarian options: Vegan menu available. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free menu available.

Overpriced food, the burgers at Magoos are more delicious and juicy, and for a fraction of the price. The Mac n Cheese did not taste like Mac and cheese at all - it was too gritty, which means chef put too much flour in the roux and not enough milk or cheese. Brisket burger was underwhelming. Our bill for 3 takeout items was $86, but the quality was subpar. What a shame.

I REALLY like their menu. Tried a few things and enjoyed everything. Ive eaten in twice at the downtown location and no one seems to be responsible for the tables. Everyone coming to the table is someone different and then no one knows when someone is on break??? We have to grab other waitstaff as they pass by. Last night I was at the Etobicoke location and ordered take out - a small Caesar salad with shrimp (generous portion of shrimp BTW). Cost including tax was almost $20 which seems a bit on the expensive side but I had a craving. Got home and no dressing. I cant count the number of times Ive ordered take out or delivery and the order was missing something, from ANYWHERE I order. I had never ordered a Caesar salad for takeout before from here so didnt know how many packages to expect. I called the manager and explained the situation who was very patient, listened well, empathetic but couldnt do anything for me unless I was willing to make the 20 minute drive back down to the restaurant. I had paid cash, so although she found my order on the system, wasnt able to refund it (she hadnt suggested she could anyway) I dont know why or how I can ever trust (all) restaurants because they almost all seem to forget some part of the order, not to mention I believe in general the portions are smaller in take out. Definitely cant trust delivery orders.

Great beer selection. Trappists (La Trap Tripel) on tap! Would definitely go back for the beer. Food was decent. Pretty standard fair. There wasnt anything wrong with it, but I dont think I would go back just for the food. Had wings and truffle fries. It did accompany the beer well. Will say, service was great.

We ve been going to this restaurant regularly, and I m so happy it opened a couple of years ago in our neighborhood. It s easily one of the best neighborhood spots, with delicious food and a fantastic beer selection. The customer service is always friendly, fast, and efficient, and the place is clean and well-organized. Highly recommend if you re in the area!

Everything was okay.

Ordered for pickup on the beer market website and they had my order ready early :) They also came back out a second time to get me a cup of water with ice. Hostess was nice and it seemed like one of the managers was really nice too who brought out my food and brought me water.

Our host and waitress were personable. Kind reception. Food was a hard pass, over spiced and just not great for the price. Salad that was tired, burgers with enough bun for four. This was college-town bar food dressed up for adults. Sorry if thats harsh but it sums it up. Even the drinks needed help. Bottled beer if you must. Go elsewhere is my recommendation.

This is my go-to dinner spot in Etobicoke. Ive never been disappointed; the food, service and especially the beer list have always impressed. Highly recommend trying out their rotational menus for food and drinks. Their Oktoberfest dishes were all stand-out and Ill be trying to recreate the chicken schnitzel and apple butter at home because it was incredible! Slightly on the pricey side but it always feels worth it especially when getting to try local craft beer on tap. Dietary restrictions: I have gone with friends who have nut allergies and they have no issue accommodating them. The manager brings out those dishes himself and assures theyre handled properly.

I was there a month ago with a friend so this is a little late but wanted to say what a great place it was.. the waitress and service were wonderful! We did have a small issue with the food but the manager Terrace came over immediately and the issue was resolved what great customer service!

Great vegan options but a little lacklustre on flavour. Server seemed not very enthused that we needed a bit more time to decide with so many options and was a bit short with us. Would definitely come back to try more vegan options but the lettuce wraps were mid in flavour and the truffle fries were more of a star.

Could be a great place, but the service is abysmal. We sat there looking at our drinks wondering if we should just go over and get them ourselves as no staff attended to our table for just short of 10 minutes. The food was your typical pub food, not bad, just average. The washrooms were really nice, atmosphere was cool, but the service was so bad it s hard to ever imagine going back.

Huge beer selection. Classic pub food, some with Asian twist. The wonton nachos were interesting, have to get the tuna sashimi for more depth. Lots of TV for games. Kid friendly. Good fries.

I had a group of business friends accompany me to your Islington location Wednesday evening. I want to tell you that Ive never received such attention and excellent customer service, perhaps in the last 10 years. Your chef actually made me potato skins because I had called in earlier asking if they were on the menu. Rachel looked after us from the moment we sat down. Lianne and Rachel were incredible. We had a terrific time and a terrific experience at this location. We will certainly be coming back regularly. Thrilled with the experience

Great place for lunch or dinner. Fantastic kids menu and an excellent vegetarian menu as well. The Yucatan bowl was outstanding! Oh, and you can bring your dog on the patio. Just went for the weekend brunch, and once again, the vegetarian brunch menu exceeded expectations.

My go-to place in Etobicoke to dine with friends! When it opened I figured it was merely a beer-focused sports bar but was quickly proved wrong: the beverage options are extensive with something for everybody including beer, root beer, cider, cocktails, wine, and non- alcoholic drinks. The staff are fantastic and friendly and the food options are varied and delicious. Prices are super reasonable and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. There are few patios in this neck of the woods and though the intersection isnt a beautiful scene, Beertown has done a great job dressing things up. Thanks for always providing me with a stellar experience!

The Pad Thai Bowl with shrimp was fresh and delicious!

Enjoyed the extensive vegetarian and vegan menu! A real treat to have vegan pub food and a long list of beer. Noisy. Patio offers a quieter dining area even though theres traffic noise. Vegetarian options: Many delicious vegetarian and vegan choices. Gluten free choices also available. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available. The relaxed atmosphere is good for young families.

Nice neighborhood brewery with great food and drinks selection. Portions are big, ambience is casual and welcoming.

I went there on Thursday evening July 25, sat on the patio, the waitress was amazing on point, educated on all the food and beers ect... Overall the food was delicious and had decent portions, ...only 2 things I didnt like was a dog was there also with ppl who were dinning and everytime the dog got excited jumping around the dust from the patio floor would fly up towards us not pleasant when trying to eat, and the second was you couldnt hear any music on the patio....other then that was a great experience an I would return .

The food was fantastic! Everything we ordered was beyond expectation. The wings were great, kids menu was so tasty I ended up having half of the fish n chips. However, most importantly was the service provided to us by Amanda. She was kind, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this place if you re looking for an afternoon beer and snack. The ambience is great. Sit on the patio if weather permits. Thank you Amanda, for making our afternoon a delight. With two small kids, any help is very much appreciated and you went above and beyond. Beertown is lucky to have you!

Only had apps and a beer flight but the food was delicious. Many beers on tap and wonderful to see smaller, local breweries represented.. The patio was the perfect place to enjoy our selections. The server was very attentive.

Beer town was great. The service was amazing. The food was pretty good as well. I thought the atmosphere was a fun place to be during lunch time because everything is so bright and open.

Had the pretzel stix with the dip - tasty Ordered a caesar salad after. The salad was stale and while the server asked me if I wanted her to remake it - I passed on the offer. Ended up paying $9 for a salad that I didnt eat. Too bad. Other than that, the attention of the staff to the customer needs was amazing.

Had really high expectations for this place, been on the radar for awhile. Decided to try it out on a Saturday and it was a terrible disappointment. To begin we sat down and for 25 mins not one server helped us. Think there was some confusion but watched multiple tables get there drinks and apps. Had to ask a couple employees for someone then, we were greeted with a oh nobody has helped you ? She was actually very nice and apologized, she was very helpful, but unfortunately the food was over cooked, some burnt wings dry and the south west chicken had more batter than chicken. It was unfortunate, will maybe try again in the future was definitely a off night for the spot.

Good was good and service was great. Unfortunately it was so busy that food took over 45 minutes from order to plate but that is to be expected.

- Service was good. Pretty chill. - over ripe avocado for guacamole, yuk. Not worth extra cost imo - Salsa was kinda meh too tbh. Too tomatoey - nachos very good, bbq spice. - Beer selection great but don t expect any pitchers. - Expect to pay $$ if you want 2+ drinks & small food. Wish I just had a meal instead then and drank at home, lol. Same price! - prefer Guelph franchise better but than this one is better than Oakville franchise imo

Beertown always has great craft options, especially for people who don t get a chance to visit the breweries in person.

Grabbed lunch here on the weekend. Everyone in the group got sandwiches with a side of blueberry salad. Would recommend. I had the chicken breast sandwich. Really yummy. Nice atmosphere where can catch up. There are 6 bathroom stalls with sinks inside. Saw lots of families with young kids and a number of couples. Vegetarian options: They have a separate vegetarian and gluten free menu.

Always a good time here. Food is always on point, the servers are kind and thoughtful. They remember the locals and greet you. The beers here are delicious. Its a nice atmosphere and you can tell that the managers put a lot of effort into maintaining the restaurant. Im always impressed to see the head manager be on the floor serving, cleaning up, and speaking to the customers. Its probably the nicest restaurant in the area. Would highly recommend! Vegetarian options: A lot of vegan/vegetarian options!

Its a bit cramped moving through this restaurant but we really enjoyed the patio. Incredible food and service by Dora specifically this little Hungarian dynamo was equal parts: friendly, knowledgeable, adorable and passionate about food. A great ambassador. We even got a brownie at the end of an epic eat your way through the menu feast.

Fell in love with this place as I have been taking my boyfriend and friends here for the nth time. I went there recently just to grab my favorite on tap. We have a favorite server Megan because she is so personable and knows her job well. She also knows my favorite beer. Too bad I didnt get a chance to see her the last time. The brisket platter from what I heard is a very sought after item. You have to come in early to get it. Though my personal favorite are the beer dog, wonton nachos and the kale blueberry salad. Its a very nice place to chill and unwind....

Came here visiting an old friend when visiting the 6ix. I had a great time here not sure how much is contributed to the great service and beer or the conversations with friends. Anyways, our server was extremely tentative and was always checking in on we were doing. Our friend brought his 6 year old daughter and she tested out their kids menu which was not bad. She finished her entire plate of waffle We didn t test their food menu but the beer here was great with a good selection! Kid-friendliness: There are a number of small kids in the patio so I think this place is pretty kid friendly.

Really great casual dining/pub experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean, open, well lit and the music isnt too loud. Food was very fresh and tasty. This is my first time going to this Restaurant chain I was very pleased with the amount of beer they had available if I had to say over 100 types of craft beer; when I arrived at the location I looked through the menu and order the poutine when it came to order I was assuming pressed for the cut of the trip, the gravy and the cheese the only thing I could say. It could ve used a little bit more cheese curds in the poutine From my appearance look like this is more of a hipster type of sports bar, which is nothing wrong. It s only that if you wear in construction clothing like I was after work, some people might look at you a little different because you shouldn t fit into in even if you really like these type of beers that was my regular clothes and not in my work clothes, I would have had a different experience Other than that the menu looks great. Somethings are over priced like the hamburger all the hamburgers they had on the menu was $22 and I find that a bit ridiculous. I saw somebody order a burger and it was nothing to write nothing to write home about. Polite staff, food is not great. Got the Double Standard burger and Brie, Bacon, Truffle burger. They were both dry and bland. The truffle fries were okay. Burgers were very sub par to something you would get at a mid-tier fast food place.

Really enjoyed the food after randomly giving the place a try. Had two flavours of wings (ancho bbq and dry cajun), amazing baked pretzel and cheddar dip, then am ultimate mac and cheese. The appetizers really stood out, but the mac was also tasty and filling. Their beer selection was quite varied, with an option to build a paddle of four flavours, or simple options of you arent sure of what youre looking for. Went during a Leafs playoff game so there was plenty of energy, and would gladly go again. Vegetarian options: Gauc and chips Pretzels and dip Veggie house nachos Tortilla soup

I came here a few times when they first opened and it was fantastic! My boyfriend and I dubbed this one of our regular date night spots. Unfortunately our last experience was poor. The food was not prepared well, buns were stale, the truffle aoli had WAY too much truffle flavour added, the fries were undercooked.. My boyfriend noticed that his burger had the wrong sauce on it. He didnt want to say anything, but I insisted based on the poor quality of everything else. He very politely and apologetically noted the mistake to our server, who immediate went to get him the proper sauce on the side, but walked away very abruptly and unhappy about it. Whether her annoyance was with us or with the kitchen I am unsure.. I hope they get someone better in the kitchen because this place is otherwise lovely and has great potential.

This is a real neighbourhood gem and it is a great casual place to meet with friends, coworkers, or even just take your kids or a solo relax and unwind. Their food menu and drinks menu is massive but finely curated and they have a very impressibe menu if you want non-alcoholic /mocktail options. Our host with the most was Travis and he was amazing-- his music knowledge is but his service is even better. He was great with recommendations and made me a non- alcoholic tropic thunder that was really delcious. I really apprwciated that when he firat brought it I did say it was a little too flat and so he jazzed it up adding the muddled mint and some syrups. The fresh baked pretzels / tortilla chips and artichoke dip is a new favourite for me, and I cannot recommend it enough. I cannot wait to go back and try some other things from the menu..the salads look amazing.. and salads do not excite me.. but seeing the ones people were orderinf come out.. I really wanted to try a few.. The real gem of this place is their patio.. and I almost want to gate keep it.. but if you want to have some lovely patio time ..this is the place to be. PLEASE change your washroom doors: these are SO heavy to pull, I struggle to open them as an adult female. I did not enjoy the service on Feb 19, 2024 by the tall blonde man with the long hair & tattoos. He was not patient and I felt rushed when I was ordering my meal even though I needed to check about my dietary restrictions. He kept coming over so often (5 times during the first 30 mins) to ask what I wanted to order for drinks after I told him twice Im not ready yet and the restaurant was so empty! Every time hed come by, it felt like he was interrupting our conversation. He was really annoying. Also, he didnt serve us any water for the first 2 hours until we asked, then took 10 minutes to bring it. He didnt even ask if I enjoyed my meal or the drinks. He just kept coming over with the intention of us buying.

I have to leave a review about this beertown. Food is disgusting. It is not served hot. Despite the large selection of beers, they are absolutely terrible! You can wait for waiters for 15 minutes even when the restaurant is not busy enough. I definitely dont recommend this place.
