BRICKYARD BBQ & BAR in Etobicoke

The absolute worst BBQ experience I ve ever experienced. Ordered Half rack with wings. The rack of ribs was an absolute disaster of a plate of bbq - the ribs looked nothing like a BBQ restaurant should - it wasn t even better than ribs from Swiss Chalet -dry, small - terrible. Wings were spicy parm - horrible. Not even 1 drum in the batch of 6 wings. The server was very nice - that was the only good part of this meal. Absolutely horrible bbq and the awards outside don t represent the food quality today. So many better places in Toronto and gta. This was an absolute disappointment.

We came here for the first time when our friends from Sarnia who love ribs were visiting us. I have mobility challenges and I called the restaurant to find out about stairs since it looked like there were alot. I spoke with Shaneese (sp?) who was very nice and helpful. She explained there were only a few steps if I entered from the front. I reserved a seat on the patio. I ended up calling back again since the weather changed and looked like rain now. I again spoke to Shanes. She kindly changed reservation to inside. I asked for regular size table as high seats arent good for me and neither were booths. Shaneese explained they dont have regular tables. I asked if I could sit at the end of the booth and she said I could. The next day Shaneese called me and let me know she was telling the owner about me and he arranged with her to set up regular table for my party. I was so moved and touched that Shaneese took the time to think of me and that the owner did this for me. Especially since I had never been there before. I thought that was extremely special. We had a wonderful dinner with Shaneese as our server. Food was fabulous, portions huge and price was right. We had a great evening made extra special by the amazing people who work here. They are the heart and soul of Brickyard

Ordered takeout from here twice and both times they got the order wrong. Ordered ribs but instead I get home, open up the bag and see a poutine

i have literally worked across the street for 10 years. i have passed this place by many times and each time i have always wanted to see what it was about. finally last week i went with a friend of mine and i was able to experience the ribs. they were 100% amazing, but i did enjoy them. it wasnt fall off the bone ribs which is fine, cause i felt it was different from everywhere else. the sauce was pleasant. we also got the wing special with cajun dry spice and it was good. you know it was a big place and was nice to sit at the booth with friend and just enjoy quiet company with. my only complaint was i wanted a seltzer and not a beer. and i didnt want to drink hard liquor.

The food is good, but the service is not. I called to place an order for a curry goat at 2:43PM. Got there at 3:30 and they hadnt even started cooking it. You need to do better.

One word! Delicious!

At Owen sound rib fest today, got the belly buster, ribs, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, coleslaw , baked beans and a jerky chicken combo, everything delicious but the coleslaw needs some work.

Overall I had a bad experience, jerk chicken was extremely salty, ribs were dry, coleslaw did not seem fresh.

By far the worst ribs I have ever had. Side ribs cut to look like baby back ribs. Tough poorly cooked and over priced for what you get. Most of mine as well as my guests went into the garbage.

Ribs were extremely dry and charred. Couldn t eat them. Wings were okay but not great. Asked for ranch on the side and it wasn t given. Staff was friendly but disappointed with the food.

Just waited for order of jerk chicken that sat on the grill for half hour after it should of been served . No jerk taste chicken was dry and over cook . Run and hide if you really want to work there !!!

Ordered for the first time here. We ordered the full rack of beef ribs and ox tail with rice. The ribs were dry sauce was good. The oxtail was soooo oily and sweet. Sadly didn t eat that one but the coleslaw was very yummy. Probably won t come back just don t think it was worth the price of $85 for everything.

It was okay .Beef ribs weren t seasoned very well, tasted like the sauce was just slapped on at the very end with no real flavour. They weren t tender and we re hard to take off the bone. Also the membrane on the back of the ribs wasn t removed which added to the overall toughness. Jerk chicken was good but burnt excessively. Definitely room for improvement and not the finest bbq food in the area. 2 years later, still the same review no improvement

Hit them at Ribfest. Tried all their BBQ meats over two days. Incredible jerk chicken. Very moist and packed with flavour. Real BBQ cooking. Everything we ate was very good.

This was our first time here and we took take out. We went at 1:30 pm and the food took about 20-25min to come out . I ordered a full rack of bbq pork ribs ( which was half price on Thursday) , 2 corn breads which they made a special one without the cheese for me , and a classic burger combo . The bbq food was great I absolutely loved the ribs they were tender and fell right off the bone ! The burger was nice as well just a little dry but that also could be because I didn t get the mayo sauce. The corn bread was good wish it came with a honey butter or something to make it moist and sweet . The only reason why I took off a star was for the fries ! They tasted like Costco fries and I hate that because the food is so amazing I think that they would benefit from making fresh cut fries. Overall great and the owner is amazing and friendly!

Been wanting to try this for awhile with the fiancee; ended up coming on Sunday after things got quiet after the leafs game. Brickyard Poutine was pretty good, wings + fries were also decent, but when ordering the half rack + chicken combo, chicken came cold to the touch; tasted like an old chicken that was poorly reheated. Little disappointed, waitress was friendly; but ended up leaving here after about 25 minutes. Hopefully next time itll be better if there is one.

We had take out, it was quick and easy. I had a delicious burger and fries! My husband (his 57th Birthday today) had the rib and wing meal. He loved it! We will definitely be back.

We had a really sweet waitress and she was absolutely amazing. Im sorry I dont remember her name.the food was great a little pricey for what we had but enjoyed it overall. However when our waitress gave us our bill a blond lady came over and said literally said are u done and reached over us grabbed our ketchup,wet ones and unused napkins. Like is there a shortage of these things that u literally have to come in so aggressively and rude? I did not appreciate that rudeness whatsoever. Our waitress had already taken our plates and we were finishing our drinks. Like we pay and ur trying to rush us out? There are many free tables . Sorry but extremely rude and disrespectful to say the least. Thank u to our amazing waitress u were great start to finish

Amazing food, great staff! The beef ribs are simply the best and have us coming back for more. The brisket! Omg the brisket is mouth wateringly good! Whether its at the ribfest during the Summer or anyday of the week, Brickyard BBQ is hands down my families favorite spot.

I hate doing this. Im 40 weeks pregnant and had a rough day. So my husband surprised me and brought us here as a treat. We barely eat out as its unaffordable and I know restaurants hit hard times since covid. But like the other reviews posted I agree, my food was all microwaved even the ribs, there was a crispy layer on top of the rice. There was nothing made fresh. Even the ribs, they were definetly not made on a grill. We kept the poutine to try and finish and it just made me extremely nauseous. The meat did not taste well and had a sour flavor, it was literally a bowl of mush (looked like dog food). We still ended up paying almost $30 for the poutine and two pops. When we sent it back they were nice about it, but didnt offer to make me anything else. Im so sad because we wanted to have a nice date before baby came and this was not our expectation. We arent picky people, but this was awful. Very disappointed Please fix these issues.

Stopped there after the Toronto car show The curried goat was amazing with their homemade pepper sauce. The nachos were typical pub nachos. But the pulled pork on them was great. Found this place by accident but will definitely search for it again.

While the food is tasty, it does not compensate for the lack of customer service. We held a group gathering of 12 here and from the minute we arrived it was a s$&tshow. First, the were not ready for our group even though reservations were made ahead of time, they placed us in a tight awkward setup and it took a while for someone to come serve us. When ordering wine, from a selection of 3 reds, they only had one available and after ordering one bottle we were told they didn t have any more bottles of red left but could sell us red by the glasses but only four glasses because they were totally out of wine. After ordering we barely saw our waitress and once dinner was served she disappeared again. As the tables are narrow, our empty glasses and dinner dishes quickly accumulated; leaving us with even less space in the tight awkward seating. Third type of service could almost be understandable if the place was packed but this was not the case. The restaurant was fairly empty with maybe 4 other customers. When one of us went to look for our server, she was found hanging out ant a table with other staff chit chatting. Again the food was good but their processes, customer service and set up needs quite of bit of improvement.

Great BBQ and excellent Jerk chicken with generous portions. We had medium wings as well and they were fantastic, really nice and crispy. Service was great.

A year later and still the timing hasnt been fixed. Every time theres a 10-15mins delay. Every single time for pickup orders. Either change it on the app so we dont arrive on time or get the food ready on time

Ill start at the beginning. Know one to greet you or seat you. Only 2 other tables had a couple guests. Took quite awhile before anyone noticed we were there. Menus were brought and left in a stack on the table, server said nothing and walked away. After another 5 or so minutes another girl came and asked if wed like to start with water. We said yes, she walked away never did get our water. She came back to take orders. No coffee available, Ginger ale was completely flat and had zero flavour. One ginger ale was much darker then the others probably cause there was Pepsi mixed with it. Requested cornbread served first as an appetizer. Asked her after 10 minutes about the Cornbread, its in the oven. It was brought after the meals; luke warm and very dry. Butter couldnt be spread as it came out of the freezer. Nobodys meal (ribs,chicken, sides) were hot, barely luke warm. Beans were from a can and watered down. Rice & peas were not cooked Jamaican or Caribbean style as advertised. Tasted like Uncle Bens Bistro. Not all the ribs were eatable, some were so hard youd break your teeth if you tried. 1/2 racks were only 6 ribs ?? You could eat 4 of 6. One person ordered jerk ribs was brought jerk chicken. Sent it back, was given plain ribs with (jerk) sauce on the side. Zero jerk flavour, Manager said they never heard of jerk pork. (Read your menu or correct it) They received 1 service star for replacing chicken for ribs quickly and these were hot not warm. Brought them home to add jerk and all 6 were eatable. Everyone liked the coleslaw, apparently the fries were good too.

Picked up a Brickyard Grand Slam last week... it was Terrific. Service and Ordering was quick and friendly.. Great Wings, and ribs. The Pulled Pork was really tender and tasty. I am definitely ordering again in the future !

We stopped by for a late lunch after visiting the motorcycle show in Toronto. We both ordered a pull pork sandwich and fries. The fries were really nice - hot and crispy. No salt or vinegar on the table and we had to ask for ketchup and cutlery. The sandwich came as a toasted empty bun with the pulled pork on the side in a bowl. Strange presentation. If the bun is toasted and the food sent out immediately this is unnecessary as it wont be soggy. Looking back through the reviews it looks like they havent had draft beer in quite some time, still none during our visit. Decent flavor in the pulled pork and a generous portion (enough to make yourself another one at home the following day). Prices seemed fair for a BBQ place.

What I definitely did not like about this place was: (1) $25/pax cover charge for a live band night, plus (2) $10/pax for a table reservation, plus and worst of all (3) my red wine was served in such a plastic cup... first time ever I experienced drinking wine in such a manner in a restaurant!! Other than that all good...

It is a hard pass, from me! I REALLY wanted to try this place, (because they got an award a few years back, so it must be good,) but it was SO disappointing! We ordered the Belly Buster so that we could try a little of everything... the chicken has cinnamon on it, (and one of us has an allergy to it), the ribs were of really poor quality meat, the rice went directly into the garbage, the coleslaw followed it because it was really dry, the (not so) pulled pork was probably the best thing out of everything, but none of it is worth going back for/reordering.

Came here for a BBQ craving and left satiated. They have some of the largest barbecue beef ribs I ve ever seen in Toronto. And the ribs aren t just mainly bone, it s covered in thick meat and drenched in savory bbq sauce. I was constantly turning my ribs over to find more meat to eat. The only disappointment was the rice and peas were slightly over cooked. But otherwise a solid spot in Etobicoke for good BBQ. The portion sizes are worth the price.

1/2 rack pork and 1/2 bbq. Chicken is a must! Very tasty and delicious bbq meat. Classic poutine is also recommended

Went to brickyard for lunch. Portion size was good for the price. Food was tasty and very tender. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas. The oxtail was flavourful but a bit heavy handed with the salt. Also, disappointing they didn t have dessert. Our server was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.

We had your beef ribs in brampton at gage parks ribn roll. They were not fully cooked and tough to eat. We ere very disappointed with them. The pork side ribs, pulled pork and the chicken was much better.

Im going to use this for Q&A. A few month ago, I ordered wings from the website and forgot to choose a flavor. You guys just randomly added some sauce. It was the best sauce ever and I have still not figured out which one it is from the menu. It was sweet with a hint of spicy. It was similar to the sauce used on the ribs. Great service, nice server. I ordered a half rack of ribs and fries, my wife had the pulled pork sandwhich. The ribs had nice flavour, but were cold. I only ate two and then they were completely cold and thats all I could do. I ordered a small side of baked beans, and they were JUST warmed through enough that I could eat them. Good flavour, but not hot. Pretty basic for a chef or cook to drop these in any pan or pot and fry until boiling, then pour into the beans dish. I cooked professionally for a long time and spot these issues easily. Next up, my wifes pulled pork bowl was SCREAMING hot. It was definitely finished in the microwave before being sent out, because it was very hot, unnaturally so, and the top was over cooked crispy. By the end if the meal the top of the pulled pork had grown hard. Why? Due to microwave. Food pretty disappointing, as I had a feeling it could be from the 4.1 star rating, but I hoped I was wrong. Dont waste your time.

Service very friendly. While the jerk chicken was so juicy and flavourful I was disappointed in the ribs. They had great flavour but were very chewy. The rice is very bland. I love ribs and couldn t wait to try them but can t say I would order them from here again. Food

This BBQ joint is a spot you know or dont know till you drive by one day and see the smoker in the lot. Pork ribs are great, dragon breath wings are a touch spicy, the way I like them side of beans and rice and peas and the bonus was the chunk of amazing corn bread I got too. Ill be back... Parking: Small lot to park in, maybe around the back might have more.

Very tasty but for the combo option, the side portions are not adequate enough for the amount of meat. I got 1/2 chicken and a significant portion of pulled pork which only came with a small container of rice/peas and another small container of baked beans which seemed to be from a can. Edit: Baked beans can in fact be prepared from scratch. I did not say yours were bad but for the price I expect better quality was my point.

Their wings and pork ribs are really good. The beef ones are good but the pork ones are more tender.

Ate the beef ribs at the ribfest in Centennial Park. They had the best sauce of the 10 participants: it was well-balanced, not too sweet like the majority of them and not too smoky but still very flavourful. The beef was delicious but pretty tough however. Cornbread and coleslaw were good.

Terrible. Ordered food at 11 am for 5:30 pick up. Confirmed order by phone at 1pm. Food was ready at 6pm. Ribs were undercooked and tough. Pulled pork overcooked and dry. Wings were the smallest I have ever had. No coleslaw or baked beans so substituted with 4 cartons of rice and peas which they did not mention until after I had paid. How can you run out of coleslaw? It was Fathers Day, maybe be prepared? We called to complain and Reuben texted me to discuss the beans and I left a voicemail for him but he never called back. Will never go back here. Just brutal.

Terrible. Service terrible the waitress forgot about us? We were the only one she forgot about us she literally said she forgot about us! Meat is terrible. My pulled pork tasted good but was more like cardboard. When a different waitress asked me how the food was, I told her as is. She tried to explain why it s acceptable to serve cardboard. No compensation given

I ordered a full rib. I couldnt chew it. The tips were so hard I literally couldnt cut with my teeth. The ribs were reheated a few times until they were completely dry and its obvious its old meat. This is one of the worst orders I made in my life. Shame.

A lot of items on the menue were not available, including beef rips. No beer from the tab and no soap in the washroom. Disappointing.

Never been there before ended up there on their customer appreciation night, which was awesome because it was a free buffet. My friend was guilty so she chose to purchase drink. I don t feel so guilty, but I do plan to go back there to try their other items. they look like they participate in ribfest by the look of their little trailer so that s cool. I seem to have lots of space inside and out.

Got takeout today here for the first time. Chicken had good flavour and tenderness, but the beef ribs were just gristle and bone, and the burger was overcooked. I might try the pork ribs one day, but they only barely earn a second chance.

#Brickyard_BBQ_Etobicoke. Driven by this place and always wanted to try. I finally did and got a full rack of beef ribs. What I got was a bunch of bones and the miniscule amount of meat on it was tough and dry. I could get fall-off-the-bone meaty ribs at most restaurant and for half the price. $40 that is what I paid for the meal. I would not pay $1. What did i pay for? I called the restaurant and was told the manager would contact me promptly. Never heard from them. Who buys from this place? How are they still in business? It was not whether I liked their food or not. There was nothing to like. It was AWFUL. Save your money, aggravation and dont spoil your mood.

Finally rolled up to try Brickyard BBQ. First observation is that its pricey for sure but the portions are large, the second is that the rib sauce could use waaay less sugar... for me anyway.

Had high hopes! But sadly fries were soggy and underdone, smokey Ceasars salad had cheddar cheese in it? and rib portion was really small. I usually love these roadside digs, I always feel like they have the most authentic bbq, and Im local food-crazy but I kinda wish this had a little more love in it.

Ordered via Uber Eats which likely affected the quality. We didnt find the ribs to be anything groundbreaking, but was a decent bbq option.

Im laughing at myself so hard! I spent 60 bucks on 3 big bones with less then 2 bites of meat, fries that were garbage and rice and beans that were disgusting! This is what you call BBQ????? Im flabbergasted!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

The cornbread is amazing love the added jalapenos to give it some extra flavoring! The ribs are by far the best in Etobicoke plus the jerk chicken is done to perfection!! I always order way too much food for myself because everything is so tasty!

If you are looking for the best BBQ in town, look no further. This spot has it all - ribs, wings, jerk chicken, BBQ chicken, pulled pork - the list goes on and on. Definitely a must see spot! Ruben and Erry are whizzes in the kitchen and all of the bartenders are great to talk with. Cant wait for my next visit! ...thanks for a great afternoon at the bar Tanya.

Expensive

Had the Pulled Pork Poutine and a blue mixed drink (I forget what its called) but it was sweet and didnt have a strong alcoholic taste. Kinda like a blue freezie! I went with a friend who had a half chicken, and I had some of his side coleslaw which I really really liked! It wasnt too busy nor too loud. The seating was comfortable. Our server was professional and friendly and did a great job!

My family and I have been wanting to try this place for some time. Finally the opportunity came and we arranged for a nice mothers day meal. Unfortunately we were disappointed in a few ways. We ordered the Big Beef Slam and picked it up. I was impressed with how much food there was, but it was missing the promised pork ribs (when you order a family meal) - I was looking forward to trying their pork ribs. :( I did leave a message and email that I did not get this as part of my order and never heard back from them...a little disappointed that customers are not so important. The beef ribs were tough and undercooked - I like my steaks rare, not so much my beef ribs. It was impossible to bite the meat off the ribs because they were way too tough, and what we were able to rip off ended up too difficult to chew. The membrane was left on the ribs...Im pretty sure this is a no-no for good bbq, as any sauce that was used was on this chewy membrane that you wouldnt even eat. The chicken and the chicken fingers were mediocre. The cornbread was fabulous. We have been on the hunt for a good bbq place...there are a few around. This one kind of missed the mark and made me feel that as a customer I dont deserve good service or good bbq. :(

Very nice people and you can tell its a family deal. Great customer service. As for the food, equally as good. I ordered the Grand Slam and found it to be very good value. Everything was really good. The dry Cajun wings were excellent! Without question, the most moist cornbread I have ever had. Worth going there for that alone! Ill definitely be back. Especially if they start doing brisket....

Chicken was pink in the middle, rice was hard and coleslaw was on the verge of spoiling (went when it was not busy at all). Chicken portions are generous but not your traditional dry Jerk seasoning, just saucy and greasy. If you have some money to waste then I guess this is a spot to try but you ve been warned

Followed brickyard BBQ from the CNE days. Was super happy to see they have a permanent spot. I will probably not go back again for dine-in because of the wait time. I waited for over 40 mins for my meal which I understand that sometimes it gets busy and stuff happens. What I dont understand is how I have to wait another 5 mins for utensils which was not provided to me during my 1hr stay of being seated. I already waited 40+ mins for my food , its delivered to my table without any utensils or napkins/wetnaps. My food was getting cold waiting for utensils. The excuse was that they ran out of utensils. I dont understand why they just didnt provide take out utensils. Everything is take out containers so I can just get to eating. Why am I waiting for the washing machine after getting my food Food is good but this left a terrible experience that Im willing to review it. I shouldve just eaten at Costco instead waste of time and money

Visited Brickyard BBq for the first time after noticing the Jamaican flag outside the restaurant. My husband and I were starving and seeing the Jamaican flag, we expected a flavourful feast. We ordered the pork ribs, bbq chicken, jerk chicken and corn bread. The ribs were dry and hard and NOT fall off the bone juicy or seasoned. The bbq and jerk chicken had absolutely NO flavour whatsoever, just doused with bbq sauce. Please remove the Jamaican flag, Jamaicans DO NOT COOK like this. Don t get me started on the dry, burned corn bread. This was $77 of my hard earned money that went down the drain because the food went in the garbage. I m hoping my review will make you guys do better, saying nothing will drive you out of business if you continue to cook like this.

I ordered a rum and coke from here with a double shot of rum. They charged my $18 for that one drink. I should have refused and left. How can you charge that exorbitant price and why was I stupid enough to pay it? Never again will I be back here, thats for sure!

Just amazing! We could smell it from the raid and pulled in for an impromptu dinner order. Food was incredible! I loved the jerk! And the ribs were so delicious! Get the cornbread!

I Ordered the belly buster and nachos. The nachos were really good with the pulled pork. The belly buster had chicken, ribs and two sides. The ribs were hard and dry, the chicken was also dry, but the sides were good. I ve ordered from this place multiple times, they are very inconsistent. I will not order from them again.

Delicious food and super friendly staff! We loved sitting on their patio this afternoon. I loved their pulled pork, so tasty; my partner said their ribs were excellent - perfectly cooked, tender without being overly loose, and delicious sauce. Will definitely return

Ribs were not seasoned, just lathered with BBQ sauce and cut across the bone into shards. Not authentic Jamaican food.

Amazing experience, spacious patio, food was delicious, portions were the best I ve seen (1 meal can fee two) and server was polite & attentive. Will definitely return a few times before summer ends.

Best ribs Ive had comparable to ribs I had at centennial rib fest. Coleslaw and cornbread were great as well definitely going there again.

Just tried Brickyards beef ribs at the Capital Rib Fest in Ottawa and for 25 bucks for a 1/2 rack... there was very little meat on them. Like a couple of bites and that was it. Very disappointed. I only gave a 3 star because the sauce was great.

Located on the corner of North Queen and the East Mall. The best beef ribs and bbq chicken I have had yet to date. The best taste for ribs and chicken with out having to go the a ribfest. Thank you guys for the amazing food

Love this place! We ordered from them at the Ribfest in Ottawa and so glad we did. They have a Jamaican influence on their cooking style and the BBQ sauce reminds me of the same BBQ sauce used in the Caribbean. We ordered rice and beans and BBQ Chicken + ribs special. The rice and beans was not bad, couldve used some more colour, but the flavor was mostly there. The chicken was nicely moist and the ribs were meaty but not overly meaty. I wish we wouldve gotten a small container of BBQ sauce though, as the sauce on the meat was light. Overall, very good and hope to see them in Ottawa again!

Really dissatisfied. I had such high expectations when I seen them at the CNE, I paid $40 for dry meat that was sitting on a grill for god knows how long. Ribs were super tough and barley got any meat off of them. Chicken was the same and bland.

I ubered some beer. Arrived hot, dented and covered in sand. Why would I pay a premium through uber for hot beer? It was like they kicked the cans around the floor and then bagged it up.

Decent BBQ at pretty good prices for the portion sizes. Restaurant is attached to a game centre and the noise does travel but its not a huge issue.

We ordered a combination of pork ribs, pulled pork and roasted chicken online. The combo comes with two sides which we picked coleslaw and rice & beans. Because of our kids, we also added two extra sides cornbread and french fries. It was a mistake that I didnt double check the order when picking up, but they actually forgot my two regular sides. Since the kids were hungry, we just called them for a refund. However, the store insisted that they are a combo and told me to pick up the missing two sides the day after which we did. Then when we were picking up on the following day, I was told that only rice was missed. The service is really inconsistent and feels cheap sometimes because the customer has to fight for every penny. Perhaps, the dishes were delicious, but all I remembered was that I had to fight tooth and nail to get what I paid for. We probably wont go back again due to the experience.

Food was good, but the Latin night is a rip off. Even if you dine in, they make you pay cover to stay, and if you pay cover they charge you more for not making a reservation for the Latin night, then if you pay with interact or credit they charge an additional $2 per person for using a card even though its a single transaction. In my 23 years of dancing Ive never see such price gauging. Its unbelievable. In all the places Ive been to around the world, this was truly disappointing.

We seldom write bad reviews but we had dinner and it was one of the worst dining experiences ever. As the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night we were expecting great service. The drink menu showed draft beer but the waitress said there was none. I ordered ribs and cornbread. The ribs were tasty but had too much sauce. The cornbread came in a takeout container and it was partially burnt. The jerk chicken with rice and peas had no peas. The chicken was dry and overcooked and the rice was undercooked. The rice tasted like small peables. The waitress did not visit our table to check on our meals for about 20 minutes but we were almost finished by then so it was almost too late. When she finally stopped by we complained about the rice and she brought another bowl. It took forever to give the bill especially since there was only 1 other table occupied. When went looking for her we found her standing in front of the terminal looking at her phone and laughing. We paid with cash with no tip. Dont eat here.

Attended an afternoon event to see The BackTrack Band. Thoroughly enjoyed the band and the food. The ribs were excellent, and the young lady behind the outdoor bar was so warm and friendly. Had a great time and hope to visit again soon.

Okay, I dont usually post reviews about restaurants...but felt the need to pay it forward The short version: Ive been to at least 50 rib restaurants between Toronto and Montreal - this place is by far the best. I remember having their ribs when they came to MTL at a Ribfest competition and seeing all the titles they won and figured itd be worth the line up. I dont think Ive ever willingly jumped back in a long line up...I mean just for ribs. Years later (like 3 weeks ago), I learned this place is in located Etobicoke. I was afraid that maybe we built it up too much in our heads. Anyhow, I was pleased to see that it was exactly what I had hoped it would be - the best ribs weve ever had! The ribs were marinaded under the sun by a kind/friendly gentlemen who clearly knew what he was doing. I mean you dont get closer to authentic Jamaican ribs than this. Thank you for the laughs, making the meal an experience and nice atmosphere - looking forward to seeing you next time were in Toronto! Seriously, the quality, professionalism and atmosphere made me feel like I was somewhere else...if Anthony Bourdain was still around, this is something that would make his list. Take away: foodie level experience, generous portions at reasonable prices. P.s. sorry about the pic, wasnt planning on posting but hope it helps.

Order arrived burned and dried out. Completely inedible. Since some previous orders had been good, I called the restaurant expecting them to remedy the situation rather than just claiming a refund through Uber Eats. I was told the manager was unavailable, but they took the details and said the manager would call me back. That was 3 weeks ago, and I ve heard nothing. I sent a follow-up through the messaging system on their website with no response. Anyone can have a bad day, but when you do, show that you care about your customers and about your own reputation. Apparently not the case here. A waste of $70 that won t be repeated. UPDATE: The owner contacted me after my review to apologize for the poor performance and provided a full refund. He seemed genuinely concerned - a good sign. Will give them another try.

Very good service! The food was perfect. We took a combo of whole chicken, wings and half/half of ribs. It was pricey, but worth each penny, it is very well served with a lot food.

When I went the chicken was bad ,the ribs had no sauce and the pulled pork was black. Everything smelled like cinnamon.

The most thoughtful delivery sandwich Ive ever received. Pulled pork was on the side in a container, with a fresh bun beside it so it is not soggy. Amazing !

Great food, great service, good prices and good portions, definitely a very good BBQ place in the city
