ESTRELA RESTAURANT is serving Toronto Communities’ since 2009 with our Traditional Portuguese Cuisine, special emphasis on The Portuguese Grilled Chicken. João Pinheiro runs the front of the restaurants with his wife Ana Pinheiro in 2 locations with a team of very dedicated people. Our Traditional Specialties come from Portugal and all our menu is composed of seasonal and fresh ingredients daily prepared. Our best seller is The Portuguese Chicken.

For a long time i have been trying to find a good Portuguese restaurant near my family’s house in the Dixon & Martin Grove area. I am glad to have discovered this place. It has great food & service! Definitely looking forward to my next order.
Delicious chicken, his PeriPeri was so good, the little potatoes are heavenly. My only critique is the rice was very bland as was the slaw-slaw needs a little "tang"like a some white vinegar would do the trick. You can dine there but it's kinda industrial feel. I would order the chicken and potatoes again in a heartbeat. Obrigado.

Super clean place, service was wonderful, food was good but could have been better. I was there at the end of the night and food was from hot table. I was fortunate they had stuff to choose from but I can't wait to try again when it's fresh 🙂
I love coming here to pick up dinner at least a couple of times a month. The chicken, rice and potato combo is always delicious and perfect portion for me, my partner, and our teenager. The price is great considering it’s the same cost as fast food if not cheaper and way healthier. I got 2 huge pieces of fried fish with a medium potato enough for my partner and teenage boy for $17 they loved it. The staff is also always super helpful and friendly with great recommendations of food and always explaining what things are if I’m curious, they also recommend me a super awesome bakery a few doors down for some desserts. Thank you!!
Fantastic food, great service. We enjoyed our meal very much. Chicken was perfect, potatoes and rice were cooked perfectly. Potatoes were not oily. Chickpea salad tasted incredible. It's great to know that we have a quality restaurant like this in our neighborhood 😀
Decided to try out this new place. Restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly. I had an 8oz steak with potatoes and rice as my sides. Everything tasted good, especially the sides. Its a large box filled up for $20
This place was really clean and the food was so good. They just opened by my house and I’m basically there everyday :) I have gone a couple of times and the food is always amazing.

I had the pleasure of ordering take out, for 10, from Estrella Restaurant today, and it was truly an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Let me walk you through the highlights of my visit: First and foremost, the food was cooked to perfection. The charcoal grilled chicken was still juicy, the potatoes were perfectly cooked without being dry and the rice bursted with flavor. My order was ready for pickup exactly at the scheduled time, demonstrating their commitment to punctuality and customer satisfaction. The owners pride in their craft was evident, as they worked together as a team to ensure that everything was correctly prepared, as I had requested. The cleanliness of the environment was impeccable. The kitchen was spotless, reflecting the high standards of hygiene and attention to detail maintained by the staff. Despite the large group I was feeding, every guest enjoyed their meal, a testament to the consistency and quality of the dishes served. One standout dish was the branzino, which featured deep grill marks on the skin while retaining its moisture and delicate texture. It was a true delight! Additionally, the piri piri sauce provided a nice kick, adding an extra layer of flavor to the meal. Overall, my experience at Estrella Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the impeccable food and service to the clean and inviting atmosphere, its clear that this establishment takes pride in delivering a memorable dining experience. I cant wait to visit again soon.

Great food if youre looking for authentic Portuguese in Etobicoke. Hot table always has something different in addition to the usual.
Its the worst place Ive ever ordered takeout from. They charged me $26 for a portion of completely dry, flavorless and cold potato balls (from a frozen bag from Nofrills), a portion of rice with coloring that was flavorless and also cold and 2 pieces of dry and cold breaded fish... and my surprise is that Ohh! The only thing that should have been cold was my Coke and no, it was hot. I will never go back there.
27$ for flavorless food and dry empanadas? They dont even have sauces. Never again

Ordered chicken rice and potatoes through Uber eats. My family and I are picky about chicken - and we were impressed! It was not greasy or overly salty - perfectly seasoned and cooked. Felt home cooked. The potatoes also melt in your mouth, and the rice perfectly seasoned. Would definitely have again.

Portuguese chicken was very tasty! They offer very generous portions and service was fast. My Portuguese father-in-law gave it two thumbs up!! He liked the sauce too Shop local and support your neighborhood small businesses!

Tried Estrela out around 6 weeks ago as we were thrilled to finally have Portuguese Chicken in the neighbourhood. Service was quick, the interior setup was clean, but a little too sterile in design. Felt like somewhere where i wouldnt want to eat in at as it was lacking any ambiance or character, at felt cold. Food Portion was great, but unfortunately the food wasnt. We ordered a family style platter, and everything was lack lustre unfortunately compared to other Portuguese Chicken spots in the City. BBQ chicken was pale and lacking signs of even being flame grilled, nor signs of any flavour or spice. Frankly, it seemed like it was cooked hours prior; with a similar case with the rice and potatoes. Also for $8 extra, the large salad was sad, should have just made one at home instead. The redeemable part of the meal was the portion as mentioned for just under $40 that we reinvented with the leftovers, but the lack of flavour and freshness was extremely disappointing.

Great Portuguese food.
Its my 2nd order here. First one was a little underwhelming. This time I decided to call in earlier, and ask the lady on the phone if they could season the chicken a little more...WOW... what a tasty chicken. We loved it, perfectly cooked and season to our liking. Thank you so much, to the chef and lady on the phone. Well be ordering again. Were still licking our chops. I highly recommend them. Adriano.

Clean little surprise hole in the wall.. great food and prices.. 2 steaks in gravy with a ton of carrots and cabbage for me..2 steaks in gravy with a ton of potatoes for my brother.. $20 each.. And got a 1/2 chicken to go for $9.50
Ordered bifa casa not your traditional dish, steak had no flavour, no gravy, french fries which were not from fresh cut potatoes. Very dry dish with no flavour. Fries filled to the top, like i paid for a box of fries. Lol never again

This is a good place to have a hearty Portuguese meal, no frills just good value, very clean.
Very clean restaurant with a great menu. Amazing prices. We came while staying at a nearby hotel for work near the airport. The portions were large and the food was fresh. The price point was so reasonable. Loved to see how cherished this restaurant was among regulars who we saw coming in and out. My only complaint which isn t really a complaint as it s required by code was the exhaust fans were loud but that s because they are grilling up some delicious eats!

Helpful staff, excellent portions and delicious meals. With the exception of the how much meals now cost due to inflation. Parking: Plenty of parking.

Fantastic food, great portion. The chicken - WOW, so so good. Highly recommend.
Decent food. Medium service though. They are very friendly. But Both times I asked for my chicken to be basted with hot sauce. I was even willing to pay extra because they only do it if you are eating in, but hard no both times. I tipped both times regardless even though it was take out to help support a new small business. But I do not know if I will come back now.
