716 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 1L3, Canada
Vietnamese eatery serving pho, spring rolls & other classic fare in utilitarian surrounds.
I loved their pho—rich broth and tender beef made it unforgettable. The stir-fried chicken rice was just as tasty, with perfectly seasoned chicken and fluffy rice. Truly a delicious experience!
Dined here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! Both ordered chicken and bamboo shoot with vermicelli in soup, and loved it! Full of flavour and very filling. Prices are fair as well.
The proprietor is the hardest working I’ve ever seen. She seems to do it all as a one person operation for the most part. The Pho is without fail one of my best in the entire city. Good wholesome, hearty and healthy meals all the way through!
This is the only Pho place in the area. The food is fine, there are some beers in the fridge. Portions are of good size. Service was good too. There is some room for improvement, the dining room can be a bit cozier. Overall if you wanted Pho on a cold day - you will get what you want.
It kills me to write this review but it also means that some small businesses need to do better and shouldn’t take support for granted. Picked up an order of deep fried spring rolls and pho tai. Paid $25 (tipped $2.50) only to come home to burnt spring rolls, the smallest portion of pho I have ever had (5-6 thinly beef), NO Thai basil, no chopsticks. The 1 star was cuz the broth was flavourful. I called back to let the person at front know why they would serve me such burnt spring rolls and he said oh it was just the oil? I asked why NO Thai basil which is a pho staple and he said, they ran out. Honestly, after a long rainy day of exhaustion, spending $25 on such food is not fair and they need to do better. I depend on reviews for good food and I needed to share this even though I feel bad for doing it.
If I could give them zero stars I would. The amount of food they give is ridiculous and they are shamelessly ripping off their customers. I ordered chicken vermicelli and it came with 2 thin, small and dry skewers of chicken. The pho did not taste anything like pho is supposed to. It came with 2 pieces of thin beef. I spoke to them about the quantity of food, how I’ve ordered vermicelli from many other Vietnamese restaurants and the portions are never this tiny, even a child would not be full or satisfied by this portion and their response was “that’s how we do it, other restaurants do it differently”. Needlessly to say I was ripped off and over payed for tiny portions and VERY mediocre food. I will never give this place my business again.
First time here. Very little vietnamese restaurant in the middle of no where almost but great tasting food! My broth was very delicious and had lots of beef flavour. Also the meats in my pho were very tender, more tender than other places making me pleasantly surprised. My friend said her noodles tasted very good as well. Ambiance is a bit dated and the place is a bit smaller but the young kid working is very polite I would definitely return next time I'm in the area and craving some good pho and I do also recommend to those who like to eat pho as well.
Beautiful authentic flavours. Their fresh rolls and fried spring rolls are fantastic. This bun was delicious along with their pho. The pho was so flavorful. It is a simple no frills eatery. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely go back often.
Food good, not the cleaning, you should see the washroom, they keep it like a storage, many flies, bugs, discousting. All the place needs to be supervised. Food
Amazing authentic Vietnamese food. P.S. The spring roles are delicious.
Worse place to buy food, portion was so small and overprices, firts and last time i ever go there. Place looked dark and dirty..
This is 3dr time for me It says open from outside i paid parking ticket but the door is closed
THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORSE PLACE BY FAR, AND I MEAN THE WORSE FOR PORTION SIZE, TASTE WAS NOT SO GOOD EITHER, NOODLES WERE COLD, CHICKEN KIND OF STALE.. FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT YOU PAY HERE, YOU WILL GET DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF CHICKEN AND NOODLES AT A RESTAURANT BY QUEENSWAY AND 427 CALLED, Pho Ngoc Yen.. the only reason i went to this Hoai Huong Restaurant is because the other one was closed, the other restaurant is about 10 times bigger and when open it is always full... but worth the wait...NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I RETURN TO THIS Hoai Houng.. NEVER,,
The most disgusting rice noodles I ve eaten the pork still have hair on it some of the meat tast like soap. Even Nations Supermarket s rice noodles taste better
I really loved the pho here. Very flavourful broth. Also had the durian smoothie and it was really good. I originally ordered avocado smoothie but they were out so the owner offered me other fruit option but she said she has fresh durian so I tried it. Smoothie is nice and frosty I love it !!!
My wife and was lucky to find this cozy place on our way. The food is tasty and service is fast and polite. The prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend this place if you just want to eat.
Delicious, authentic Vietnamese food. You cant go wrong
Soup is great.
Minimum service. Food is average, not bad, but not surprisingly good.
The amount of food for the cost isnt worth it. Got the beef fried rice, was nice but the quantity was pitiful. Food
Portions are a bit small but the food is ok. I ordered a rare beef with beef balls and it only had maybe 6 small slices of beef. Everything about this place is just ok - the service, food, atmosphere. Not bad if youre craving some Vietnamese food and are in the area, otherwise I would stick to going east to the spots on Ossington or Pho Linh on College
Probably the worst pho I ve ever had. No service. Had to beg for napkins and water. Only 4 slice of thin beef in my pho. Wouldn t recommend
Asked a Vietnamese where to go for good viet food. They recommended this place around South Etobicoke. A family run business Old and not very tidy, but clean. Not the best I had tried, but was good. Technically, I would give this 3.5 stars.
Amazing best service very tasty dishes
Great pho place in the neighborhood! The broth is delicious. I find it a lot smoother than many Toronto chain, ie. less salt and MSG! The restaurant is fairly quiet on a Friday night and the service is very fast. The only downside is the beef tendons are a little too fatty. Spring rolls are quite authentic as well. We will definitely come back.
I dont like to leave bad reviews. But it was a disappointment. Watery soup. No taste with 4/5 pieces of meat in it. I have had many pho at different places.. all different but this one was not worth the price at all.
Good service, the food was delicious.
So me and my family ordered food from here my dad ordered seafood i m not sure what s it called but the seafood was rotten and not fresh they also gave us un cooked noodles with the food, we had to wait a long time for the food too i also ordered a grilled chicken plate with rice and the chicken was mid but the rice had pig fat on it i never heard of that in my life, then we asked for shrimp spring rolls and they gave us really small rolls and the shrimp tasted weird, then we ordered ware beef noodle soup (pho ) they gave us barely meat in it but the broth was okay, over all i would never come here and i don t recommend you to come here!
Im really not understanding why the low overall review because this place is highly underrated. Do not let the quietness deceive you. The pho broth? The best, most delicious, and very authentic flavor. Quality is consistent every time and Ive been visiting this restaurant for years. Anytime I catch a cold I get a soup and it fixes me right up! Prices are low and very fair for the nice large portions, I can never finish the pho or fried rice dishes! Ive tried other dishes too theyre all delicious honestly you cant go wrong with anything. My ultimate favorite dishes are the beef and tendon pho and the shrimp fried rice. And now I got my cousins hooked since its our new go-to. Maybe people gave it a low rating because they want it to remain their best kept secret? :) Family owned business, the owners are very polite and always smiling. I hope this place stays open forever and is very abundant with customers once the condo being built across the street is done. If you dont see anyone when you arrive just ring the bell at the desk, and just pay the bill at the cash when youre done and ready to go :) enjoy!
This place was awful. Dark and not very clean. The food is forgettable. Half the room was set for delivery and tables for customers fit into it. never going back.
Great Pho ! If you want to be sit at a royal saloon this is not the place. If you want good viet food this is it.
Ordered from this restaurant for pick-up. Service was great and the food good but not exceptional. Place can be a little more tidy.
We ordered rare beef pho - it came with 2 very small pieces of thin beef. The broth tasted horrible. It didn t even resemble pho broth. The pork in vermicelli bowl was inedible. We will never order from here again. Safe your time and money and go elsewhere.
Worst place to visit. Don t waste your time and money here. Try something else
I got discriminated by this restaurant years ago and never went back. Note: if you look different, they will have the nerve to tell you never to come back. Yes I ate and almost enjoyed my food but the lady said I am no longer welcome to dine in. I guess she thinks that I scare away their customers. I have eaten in many places and it is the only place I got a really rude commentby the owner and server. I have lamellar ichthyosis and it is not a communicable condition. This people should be educated and learn their right customer service. Learn to respect others as we respect you.
They are very overpriced for the amount of food they give you
The best Vietnamese restaurant around The best pho and all the food came out very quick
Great authentic southern Vietnamese food
Can recommend the food and the menu. This is not fine dining this is quality food. I dont usually finish large portions of lunch but I couldnt stop eating it was so tasty. The young guy serving was polite and helpful. Well be going again for the quality of the food.
Food was great and came out pretty quickly. We got pho, stir fried beef and veggies and a beef appetizer.
I come here with my wife and get the grilled pork chop with fried egg and steamed rice. Easily the best vietnamese grilled pork chop in toronto!
Definitely one of the best places to get grilled platters! Our go to spot
Take out. It was really good pho. Quick service of you can ahead for your order.
Pork Vermicelli with spring roll was delicious
STOP RIGHT HERE DONT WASTE UR TIME ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE ITS SUCH BAD FOOD WASTE OF MONEY WASTE OF UR TIME U WILL REGRET AND U WILL GET SICK... IVE THROWN EVERYTHING IN
Love Love Love this restaurant
Best Vietnamese food in the city. Bang for your buck. Friendly service AAAA+
Very good Vietnamese family restaurant, basic minimum no fancy decor however staple foods such as Phö, Spring rolls....are delicious.
Food has no flavour so instead they just add a whole bunch of pepper making it quite spicy. Table was dirty and the washrooms had neither toilet paper nor paper towels. Pretty bad for a restaurant in that area. Never again!
Dirty place and bad service
too expensive fool people taste bad
Ok pho and bun. Plain restaurant so great for lunch. Not sure if I would go for dinner.
The best shrimp fried rice 720, terrific rolls and good pho. I try to visit whenever Im in the area. Sometimes I pretend I need to go around here so we can stop by this place...
Friendly service and the food is good but not great, seem to skimp a bit on seafood in their seafood dishes, and on meat in their rare beef pho.
Broth had no flavor. Like none. The servers phone kept going off over and over. It was annoying. The spring roll wrappers broke so everything tasted like old oil. We were the only people in restaurant. Not surprised. Wont be back.
Honest little Pho spot , no false pretenses , not overly fancy great food, great service at a fair price
Weve been coming here for years and never disappointed! Tried many Pho places in the area and nothing compares!!!
Really great Ice Coffee and very nice and friendly customer service.
One of the best adorable pho in the neighborhood
Ordered today at 630pm - someone really unprofessional answered the phone, food was pretty bad too - looked and tasted like frozen food - crispy noodles toppings were 3 pcs cauliflower a little bokchoy and 4 small pcs of chicken, very shy - vermicelli were tasteless - we disposed most of it away, big disappointment, wont be going back.
Ordered a Hue Style Noodle Soup tonight - order arrived in a bag that looked like a grocery store bag. The soup smelled very fishy (like fish paste was used) and upon opening the take-away container of noodles, there was a hair in it. Needless to say we threw it out. Not impressed. Will not be ordering from here again.
Ordered beef fried rice, very disappointed almost no beef, little rice and lots of large pieces of onions why?
Best vermicelli
The food here is so good! Its my go to place when I want authentic Vietnamese. The spring rolls, grilled chicken/pork are a must try!
Came in a 9:08pm just now and the owner gave me the dirtiest look. I asked her if they were still open and she just shook her head and said something assertively but I couldn t make out what it was. The relief she showed when I said Oh it s ok then, no worries. was the exclamation point to my 10 second experience here.
Great food! Highly recommend!
Good Vietnamese food restaurant.
Ive been going for a few years now. Its quite most times. Service is quite but the meals come fast. Take out is packet well. If you like pho you cant go wrong here.
The broths are amazing. One of the best pho places I ve been to in Toronto. Definitely recommend!
Very nice staff, the food is amazing for the price.. super affordable! I love the chicken pho. I come here all the time.
Pho came out fast, was pretty fresh tasting and good portion size and price
They have poor quality customer service. I found hair in my soup and they scooped it out with a spoon and gave me the same soup back. Then when we place an order to go they made a mistake from rice to noodles, which I couldnt understand why. We were very nice to the people and i was trying to be understanding. I hope everyone sees this msg and dont ever go there.
Hidden gem, great value, come here all the time!
Over priced rice dishes and misrepresents their menu. We ordered the $18 rice dishes with the huge shrimps with chicken and pork chops as per their menus but, when we got our food it was just regular small shrimps. When we asked the manager, her defense was that they havent had these shrimps in for years and this is all thats available. This was not told to us when we ordered and she wouldnt offer a discount even though this dish is cheaper on the menu. We left and would not recommend it to anyone who wants honest service.
Best grilled chicken and grilled pork vermicelli ever. I ate it so fast I didn t have a chance to take a photo.
Tiny food.
Highly underrated - definitely recommend
First time there. Polite service, based on seeing other peoples orders, large portions! We had the seafood soup, 404 I think. Amazing and great value for $10.50!! I finished mine, but my friend couldnt.
Mom and pop feel great food and service
Loved the freshness of food.
Amazing Food!
Great place
The pho is always delicious, good portions, takeout is organized well in the containers, staff are always friendly and polite.
hu tieu my tho is my favorite food here. it comes with pork liver and blood pudding. it really is the same as original in my country.
Really liked this restaurant, the food was good. I really enjoyed the crunchy noodles with seafood dish. Would definitely come back again!
Great food, pho broth tastes very good very rare to find. Pork chop was also done very well, great flavours. Nice people, good service. Will be back!
So glad I found this little gem. Quiet little place with authentic Vietnamese food. The care and quality they put into their dishes is unmatched.
Mediocre at best. Meat for pho special is small given the price. Wont recommend, wont come again.
This is my go to pho spot. I always get the veggie pho with curry. Its a beautiful thing. The viet coffee too is amazing.
Came in here just looking for pho, and the place was empty which lowered expectations right away. Once the food came, we were absolutely wrong, and it was spectacular!! Got the rare beef, tendon, and beef ball pho which had great flavour. My partner got a bowl of vermicelli, and absolutely loved it. The bowl tasted very fresh, and delicious!!
Really good food love it
Ive been to a lot of pho places before, and i find it hard to find ones with good traditional pho broth. It was amazing!!!!! Not a typical pho taste but i loved it.
I often bought there. It is great Vietnanese food cultures.
Cheap and tasty pho
This restaurant is the best restaurant in the world. Mrs. Thuy made the best Bun thit nuong in the world. She is kind and serving well. Loveeeeeee!!!!!!
Always fantastic food! Ive been coming here for 10 years and have still never had better pho - anywhere.
They are average. Maybe a slow night ... Quantity is not there , 3/5 on quality of food nothing special but not gross
Comfortable dining experience. The Pho was not the best Ive had but was ok.
I am giving it two stars only because one is a freebie.I ordered it through SkipTheDishes.Although I understand delivery is different from dine-in,but the dish was ridiculous.Broth tasted bland and salty,no taste in it. The amount of meat was ridiculous,it literally had a little bit.The Pho contained noodles and broth with tiny bits of beef. Nice, will not recommend. For this price there is something better.
Simple and authentic Vietnamese food. Everything weve tried here have been tasty and food service is fast.
Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai restaurant. Grate soups and pads
Good to price. Atmosphere can be improved, but overall good food!
Really great chilli, even better service. I had the seafood Pho with rice noodle.
The food is very good and nice, they serve polite..love their foods
The food was only so so. Wouldnt go back
Food here is cold and terrible, washrooms are dirty and cooks dont seem to keep the place sanitary
Food was good, if youre getting pho the broth is tasty. Service is great however.
The pho soup was decent, not enough meet but the soup was still really tasteful, my girlfriend loved the vegetable spring rolls.
Love the food and the quantity..best for take out or lunch.
Take it from a Vietnamese! The food is made with love. Dont just try the Pho. Try the spring rolls, crispy noodles or grilled chicken and rice (ask for shrimps too because the sauce is amazing). Prices are reasonable. You may have to wait once in a blue moon so be patient. Its just the owner there sometimes who is the waitress and cook. The food is worth the wait!!!
As a Vietnamese person, I truly find comfort at this restaurant. Etobicoke doesnt have many options for Viet food but this place is great! Theres definitely love and authenticity in this menu. The pho, rice and vermicelli dishes have all satisfied my palate.
Nice customer service. I usually go for chicken noodle soup and the taste has been consistant and tasty
The noodles i got in my pho were too short it was difficult to eat without a fork. It was alphabet soup short.
The wait is kind of getting ridiculous I smell more food then seeing and eating it......but one person cant do anything they by them self they need to hire more staff
Very homely. Amazing food!
Probably the worse Vietnamese Pho that ive tasted in a long time. When I 1st showed up, theres no1 in the restaurant at all, normally when I see that I wouldnt go in and eat, but I figured giving it a try. I ordered a Large Special Combination Pho with everything in it. When it came out, theres not even enough noodles, they substituted with bean sprout in it. The meats arent bad, however its not even enough to call it a large bowl. After eating that LARGE bowl of PHO, I had to go to Harvey to get a quick burger. Sadly to say I will never ever go back to that overpriced and crappy PHO again. I rather go to Pho TienThanh in Ossington, although its abit further down or some other places. NEVER EVER GO THERE... just saying.
Winter rolls are great!!
Best vietnamese food I have ever had!!! Tastes homemade!
