With a heartfelt focus on local and sustainable food, being creative and unique is our way of life. We will service nothing short of dynamic plates to share, superior hand crafted cocktails, and an extremely unique place for our innovative traveler. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
Nice hotel restaurant for travelers. And they will accommodate your dietary needs which is a plus. Being low carbs for my diet it was nice to have a lamb burger as a lettuce wrap and then a side salad instead of fries (I'll remember to hold the croutons next time). Overall, nice place and saved me a walk to find dinner elsewhere.
Lynne was absolutely the best help, flight was delayed, used vouchers, she ensured out 2 little munchkins were first taken care of then ensured we had the best experience. Her recommendation was great, order the calamari it's great. Next day breakfast buffet was well worth the money. The variety was exceptional. Thank you for hosting our family.
Service was the best thing in this place. Staff is very polite and helpful. Food is above average as I had higher expectation. Pizza was good, pasta was okay and brownie was below average.
I got this hotel booked as my flight was cancelled, which came with a free meal at this bar. The place is excellent, with fine aesthetics and interior and very professional staffs. Ordered Red Thai curry which was amazing and hasn’t had that taste in a while. Great place for food.
Food was absolutely excellent - especially the seared ahi tuna! The house cut fries are delicious, too, especially with the nice seasoning they use. Our server was full of smiles, which really made an impact on our visit. But the food was beyond expectations. If I'm in the area again, I would stay here so I could eat at this restaurant again.
My friends flight was delayed she got a voucher to stay at Marriott and could use her meal voucher at hotel. Lynne was very nice and gave as a great recommendation for dinner. Plus earlier she helped us with the elevator. Such a kind woman really nice to meet genuine people like her.
It wasn't busy, and service was fast and friendly. The meal was well made, with fresh veggies and nice fries. However, if you order the Steak Frite, beware! Do you know what "Cali Cut" means? In reality (here anyway), it means HALF a steak! I thought I ordered a Strip Loin with Fries, but ended up with a teeny, weenie piece of meat! I questioned this with Management, and they threw the waitress under the bus. Said I should have been informed that it was only 6 oz (not sure it was even that!). I've been a server, and was NEVER instructed to downplay / defend the menu. Management is responsible for making it clear on the menu, not the servers.
Went with server recommendations: short rib buns and gyoza. Solid choices. Short ribs were tender. Gyoza was crispy. The starters were received for free as part of my stay; otherwise it’s a hard to justify the price. Personally apprehensive about hotel restaurants. Value prevents this from being 5 stars; service was good. Unusual to see a party occupy an entire side of the restaurant on a Sunday night, speculating that it’s part of a wedding reception.
Amazing customer service!!!
Delicious steak on the menu
Our flight ways delayed, we stayed at the hotel. We were there from 6 to 10 ordering appetizers and desserts and wow very impressed clean menu. Shrimp Gyros Bruchetta French onion were delicious and the warm apple crumble mind blowing we had 2. Talk about being treated like royalty Esmirna the lady running the show (bar) went above and beyond for us during a heartbreaking time waiting for our flight the next day. Thank you so kindly. Time well spent. Michelle & Jeff
This hotel restaurant has the best breakfast buffets in the area. Yum!
Food was tasty but service was a bit lacking.
The food was good, although there isnt a huge amount of choices on the menu, especially during lunchtime. However, their service is so nice. The waitresses are so kind and will try their best to give you a good time.
Good
We feel the lack of employees, the wait is longer. The dishes are delicious. Wheelchair accessibility: The people are very kind and take great care in placing customers in wheelchairs.
Nothing wrong with the service and food, but parked in their parking lot and received a ticket for $98.00. I drove into the entrance of the parking lot and gate popped open and I drove in and parked and then went for lunch. After lunch asked a few individuals who had a Maroitt unform on as what to do about parking and they said dont worry. Now trying to clear it up with staff and getting nowhere. Great service and good food selection. Pleasantly surprised.
Awesome place with awesome food awesome staff
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE! We drove down from London to try it! It was our first time here and the Indian food was delicious. The service was even better.
Had the quinoa salad with Chicken breast, just like eating at home, very good, while traveling i appreciate that, not all meals need to be a deep fried one
We came here specifically for brunch at about 1030am. They were just closing up the buffet breakfast for hotel guests, so it was a bit loud. We were handed breakfast menus to order from, which while offering a limited selection, seemed decent. Food arrived quickly, was hot, and served on warm plates (love when restaurants do this). The presentation was great, the taste was solid (4/5), and overall we were satisfied with the meal. Servers were polite, friendly, and attentive. One in particular was really great, and was the entire reason for our 25%+ tip (wish we had gotten her name to shoutout here). The letdown here at Wayside Social at the Toronto Airport Marriott was ambience. Being the lobby restaurant also used for hotel guest breakfasts, I understand the need to maintain some utilitarian design, but it really doesnt make for a warm and inviting restaurant space. Which is too bad, because otherwise between solid made to order meals and pleasant staff, at a reasonable price point, this would be a great breakfast spot near the airport. P.s.: Thank you for serving real maple syrup with pancakes Parking: Parking for Wayside Social is free at the lot in front of the hotel entrance. Just drive up to the automatic gates (it captures your plate), and drive out within two hours.
We ate here when we ended up staying at the hotel for a night after our flight was canceled. We really enjoyed the restaurant. The service and food was very good and tasty. I had the bacon cheddar burger with fries it was very tasty. We also had calamari for an appetizer and it was also very good. I would eat here again if in the area.
Very friendly service and food was good, a little better than you would expect for an airport hotel restaurant.
This place was truly phenominal. Sharon, my server, was polite, inviting and truly went out of her way to make my experience pleasurable. The food was amazing, I had the braised beef burger with Caesar salad as recommended. It was to die for. For desert, I enjoyed the molten lava cake with Baileys ice cream. Cannot rave about this hidden gem enough.
My party and I had ordered pizza under the what it had said Handheld menus that included a choice of fries, salad, or sweet potatos. They did not inform us if it was going to be an extra charge of $5 for the sides when it clearly said that the pizza was under the handheld dishes on the menu. If we knew it was going to be extra fees, then we would not have selected it. We asked to speak to the manager and he just walked pass us and didnt even acknowledge us or talk to us and went on about his way. They did not have good customer service.
The New Renovation took away from the comfort and more pleasurable dining environment. May as well be eating in a mall food court. KITCHEN VERY SLOW and to add to the painful wait...No staff was paying attention to the Tvs which provided nothing but Sensory overload with News and Commercial TV (not even NHL PLAYOFFS or MLB Baseball)!! Oh yeah...the food... pretty good ...but not worth the wait or the Cost. YUCK.
