I ve ordered quite a few times from this place. food is usually Done fresh I don t have any concerns. I do enjoy ordering from them as they are really close to my house. The only thing is sometimes with the language barrier they have mixed up my orders, and I have not received what I ordered. Sometimes the phones are not picked up they may be closed but it wasn t posted and simply can t reach them. A little Disappointing.

This place is a hidden gem always fresh and never disappoints. The service is always delightful. It doesn t matter where I am in the city this is my to go place .

A sushi gem on The Queensway! I brought a new friend to enjoy their fresh and well made sushi, a Salmon Poke Bowl and Age Dashi Tofu that we shared. Small place but packed with great sushi and poke bowls and more. Worth checking out. I m going back here again and again.

MUST TRY! This is such a good sushi place and such good service. The sushi tastes the exact same the next day. I dont know how they do it. They spicy rolls are different than other places and in my opinion much better.

This place is really a rip off. Ordered sushi worth $50 and expecting box to be full but no, it was just little over the half. There is other places that will get your box full of sushi. DONT COME HERE!

I honestly don t know how this place has good reviews. I mean good for them, but I can t understand it.., maybe from a long time ago or something? Their Takoyaki is below standard. Cheap usage of sauce.. and I ordered two orders of Takoyaki , and they put both orders together in the same box. What on earth allows them to assume it s OK for me to share my box especially for delivery that was over $100. That s usually an indication that a place is cheap trying to save money, especially when you factor in their usage of sauce. I won t be ordering from here again

Quality went down when the previous owners left. Poke bowl used to have a huge portion (I could even eat it the next day with leftovers) - now the portion is so tiny for the same price. The container has been downsized so much. Not generous with the toppings.

Very disappointed in the quality of sushi, rice was over cooked, rolls fell apart, tuna was salty? Gave three stars because the order was on time, correct items delivered, food was presented well, just wasn t very tasty.

Its good to see you act positive all the time. They made a mistake last time, but they made sure they fixed it and said sorry to me, and they also didnt forget their mistakes and provided me with better quality food. I respect everyone elses opinions, but I think its okay to give them a little more time. Its up to you to decide.

Very easy to place an order here for pickup. Kind staff. The portions are quite small though and the quality is on par with what you would get at a sushi kiosk in a mall. It was okay, but nothing special.

Not at all what I expected from the main items we ordered, but they tasted ok. The sushi was really subpar. Nothing special altogether. The service was almost non-existent. I honestly cant recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great local sushi spot! The sushi rolls and apps are made and presented very nicely! The quality is very good and the price/quantity/quality balance is great! The selection of speciality rolls is great, I recommend the Salmon Love, Dynamite roll and the White Mountain rolls. Their Shrimp Tempura starter is also very good!

Incredibly authentic Korean food and the portions are fantastic! The fish is so fresh and you can taste the difference it makes. I cant wait to go back.

You can tell the sushi chefs here know exactly what they re doing. Whenever judging a sushi experience it s best to start with the rice which at U Know Sushi is clearly well considered and the quality of which is incredibly consistent. The fish is exceptional. The preparation is well thought out. It s a hole in the wall on an otherwise desolate strip which makes it always worth it to go the extra mile.

I ordered the Dragon Poke Bowl and it was so good! Ive had poke bowls from other places nearby but they didnt compare. I have to try out their other items!

Small sushi shop, but BIG taste! The staff is friendly and courteous. I usually get party trays from here and they re one of the few sushi places that know how to properly make deep fried sushi.

Absolute mush. Very disappointed. We ordered off Uber eats - not sure if there s a new person in the kitchen but the rice was extremely glutinous to the point where you couldn t even identify the grains. Everything was so mushy! Gave an extra star for presentation and including lots of ginger and soya sauce as requested. Miso soup had mushrooms which was a nice touch. Unfortunately the sushi itself wasn t good at all :(

I bought the beef udon fried and sushi dinner deluxe and I really liked the beef udon but the fish in the nigiri fell right off the rice... the rice felt mushy... and rolls were very average at best. Dont think Ill be coming back.

They should have called this place U-Know Mushy?. I must say I was left dissappointed. We ordered a platter and requested spicy salmon...As you can see in the pic...that red stuff is not spicy salmon. The rice was very mushi...The service was good, but the sushi was Yuck!! If you want good sushi, call Kebo Sushi. Never again!

Last Sunday, my husband and I had a long day and it was getting quite late. Typically we would order from another sushi spot but because they were about to close we had to figure out another option and I am SO GLAD it happened that way. We ordered from u-know sushi an hour before they closed and the quality, taste, presentation blew our minds away. I highly recommend the firecracker, fire caterpillar, double dynamite, and deep fried California roll. We re already looking forward to trying more items on their menu and this will now be the only place we will recommend to others in the area. Hands down, the best sushi and great prices as well!

So random we found this place but it was epic. The owner is so welcoming and has such great energy. I m from out of town and he accommodated our small request. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants tasty food. I will def come back my next time in town.

Placed an order through Uber and the food tasted bad. Both the spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls had a strong stale fish taste to it and it definitely tasted like canned fish was used. Tofu appetizer was dry and stale. Even the miso soup was pure water! Called the restaurant to explain my issue and all I got back was thats how the rolls are made with a very nervous laugh! Never ordering from this place again. Wanted to support a local small joint but never doing it again at this place.

Each time the sushi was very fresh, with consistent look and taste. Ive only been once to pick up, but the staff were lovely and even threw in extra shrimp tempura. Great price to for what you get. Very delicious and fresh food

My first time ordering and I was very impressed. I used UberEats pickup and my order was ready within 15 minutes. I got the Happy Tuna combo - big, fresh pieces of fish, and the spicy tuna roll was delicious. Loved the crispy tempura bits in it. Id say it was on the pricier side overall but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. Staff seemed very friendly. Looking forward to returning.

I was pleasantly surprised, just walked in to try then out and ordered the White Mountain roll. Great atmosphere, friendly family-like staff and it is was freshly prepared in front of me in 5 mins! Enjoyed every bit of it at home, portion size and presentation was very good for the price. Only complaint I have is wasabi quantity was too generous!

I was not impressed by the food here. I ordered a number of fairly standard rolls, and the happy salmon combo. The green dragon showed up a mess, I m not sure if that happened in transit but it seemed fairly unlikely to have just slid around given the placement of the pieces. (I also don t believe that would be a risk if the items were served in clamshell containers made for sushi rather than styrofoam). The sauce on the green dragon was also unusual and detracted from the flavour. The spicy rolls were not spicy, without flavour and full of tempura bits as filler - I could not have told you there was salmon in it. The colour of the salmon in the salmon avo roll was much paler than the sushi and sashimi and also much chewier, suggesting their less fresh fish was used for rolls. The rice itself wasn t bad on the rolls. The nigiri and sashimi fish was okay too but it s ironic that they call themselves u know sushi, when it seems fairly apparent they lack some training or experience changing the angle of their knife so sashimi pieces are more evenly sized. Lastly, the bottom of two of the trays were oily. There should not be so much oil in tempura shrimp that it is dripping out of the rolls. Really unappetizing.

Ordered two poke bowls. Had to wait a bit longer but they provided extra fried tempura shrimp/veggies which was nice. Butterfish poke bowl was great. However, when we started eating, we noticed the volcano bowl contained tempura with barely any meat (tuna, salmon, and crab). It looks like it was prepared by dumping a large batch of tempura bits. We made sure to dig through just to be sure and double checking the food description.

This place is a gem in the rough! Came here when my wife was going to the midwife. Went here because it was next door. This place had amazing customer service with a great old school Japanese sushi atmosphere. The food is amazing. The people are amazing. The customer service is amazing. Been here 2x in 2 weeks. That is alot for me. The food is also really well priced for sushi.

I live in the neighbourhood and always order off Uber eats and it s so good every time. Sushi is always fresh and made well with generous portions. I love the spicy roll combo. I walked in last week and ordered one scallop hand roll and chef asked me if I also like spicy salmon. When I checked later, I found an extra sp salmon hand roll in there too! It was so nice it really made my day. Everyone who works here is also very kind as well. Service is as awesome as the food. I ve worked at a Japanese restaurant in the past so I m very picky but I don t go anywhere else for sushi!

Surprisingly good!. well priced, freshly made and professionally managed. good size sushis and rolls. store front and interior decorations are super ordinary and basic but their sushi is definitely rated above average. wait time during busy weekend nights a bit more, but staff were managing the orders perfectly. worth the try!

Have gotten food from here several times and the sushi has been the best I have had. The sushi we got the other night did not have freshness I remember from previous times and had an unidentifiable, unappetizing smell. I was disappointed.

Poor quality sushi. Very little fish with a lot tempura used as filler. BBQ eel roll was drenched in so much sauce that it tasted intolerably sweet. Would not come back.

I went here after trying their u-know poke delivery from uber eats. Wow! Their service is as great as their poke.. amazing. They have a separate menu for poke, just ask for it. Chef is so so friendly and gives great recommendations on what to order. The ingredients they use are really fresh. I have not tried their sushi yet but will do next time I m there!

PLEASE READ AND AVOID THIS PLACE !!!! ever since this place got new owners we have had 2/3 bad incidents but decided to go back because qe loved it so much a few years ago. Ordered a huge dinner for my boyfriend and I. Came home to eat, and while we only hd the tv light on; i noticed something odd in the spicy chicken roll - CRAB meat!!! Something I AM EXTREMELY allergic to and would have found myself in anaphylaxis if I hadnt noticed. We threw everything out right away and called the place (not sure what we were expecting) and 5 mins into talking to 3 people the Manager comes back with uhhhhhhhhhh.. seriously!!! Please, if you have any allergies avoid this place. Even when the list of items in the menu doesnt match what you get!!!! Please!!! BE SAFE!

Had unagi and salmon avocado hand rolls they were perfectly made and super fresh even right before close. Fast service and quality ingredients will definitely go back.

We stopped by for take out randomly one day. The employees were very kind and the food was ready quick. While we couldnt stay and eat due to the fun stuff times, the decor was very nice. Now for the food. We got sashimi, tempura, and a roll. The sashimi was very fresh and tasty. The tempura was prepared very well and hit the spot. The roll was the U-Know House roll. It was a deep fried roll which I dont get often, but it was AMAZING! You can judge a place by what it calls its house roll, and based on the role alone, I would recommend this place highly to anyone. Its a little out of the way, but if you want great sushi at a great price from friendly people U-Know sushi is the place to go!!

I am so happy I finally found a great sushi place with GREAT VALUE and high quality fish in Mimico. I have struggled for 5 months to find a sushi place in the mimico area that had a salmon lover combo that I liked for a good price. U know sushi not only gave me great food for delivery but I also went in to pick up an order at the beginning of the corona virus outbreak and they were SO KIND. They gave me a discount on my party tray and even threw it two full orders of shrimp and veggie tempura for free. The chef even asked me what kinda of fish I liked the most for the trays assortment. This is officially my new go to sushi restaurant in Mimico. Thank you so much U Know Sushi! I cannot recommend them more!

The aggregate review rating is proof positive that the crowds have no wisdom. Fish isnt spoiled, but to call it fresh would be a lie. We dont have to throw this out yet shouldnt be how a sushi restaurant is run. Spicy roll is supposed to have chunks of fish, spicy mayo to hold it together, and a sprinkle of tempura bits for crunch. It should have the same amount of fish as a non-spicy roll but not here! Tempura bits are mixed in to the spicy mayo to create a soggy mess, and it bulks up the mayo so you actually get more tempura mayo than fish! Tempura is greasy.

Totally amazing sushi and in contrast to the review below me, the fish is NOT stale, old, greasy, whatever has been described by the previous reviewer. My constant weekly go to ordering spot, and as someone who orders sushi at least once a week the quality of U Know is exceptional. Posted a bunch of photos recently with their takeout presentation awesome. No falling apart messes of DIY sushi assembly; beautiful, fresh, well prepared. Consider asking for a little less sauce on some of the specialty rolls, particularly the island. Maguro Dragon (torched... mmm) and Snow Mountain with the jalapeño. Cannot go wrong.

The food is always fresh and delicious! My favourite is the Beef Udon which is well seasoned and always comes very hot. Even when I order take out, they make sure the food quality and temperature (hot or cold) is the same as you have them in the restaurant. This tiny detail makes a huge difference. I ordered a Poke bowl and the Tuna was really putrid. The smell, color and taste was not good and I think this is a really serious issue with raw fish. Also, the rest of the bowl was ok, not so great for the value. (Sorry, I really dont like to complain normally but this is shocking)

This is the best sushi Ive had in the Etobicoke area. The portions are really generous. The salmon sashimi is so fresh and cut very thick so you get a lot of bang for your buck.

We ordered from Uber Eats and a very small part of our order was missing. After a call to U Know Sushi, they quickly delivered the missing part - not by Uber, but by the chef and restaurant staff! This was so nice, with a smile on their faces, and they actually delivered 2x the missing part of our order. Wonderful sushi and wonderful service!
