Nice little place with good service - if a little relaxed. And food with so much flavour! Vegetarian options: The veggie pad Thai was delicious. I m not vegetarian, but I like to eat once in a while. It was great.

I ordered food for dinner today. The lady at the court was very nice and friendly. I ordered spicy Thai noodles with chicken. It had rice flat noodles which was delicious. I also ordered chicken red curry, fried rice and shrimp rolls. All the items were very tasty. She kindly also gave me a complimentary green milk tea. Price was very reasonable and ample quantity. I strongly recommend this place. It s at the intersection of Burnhamthorpe and Dundas.

Visiting from Vancouver, I was craving something fresh and delicious and Thai Jalearn Dundas did not disappoint. Incredibly fresh ingredients, flavorful dishes, and the staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming solid 10/10 place, this will be my regular Thai place anytime I come to visit. You have to try!

This hidden gem never fails to disappoint with its authenticity and flavour. Their lunch special has a variety of options but I highly recommend their pad Thai.

It is a cute place but I ordered take out. The person working there didnt know the menu so it took us a long time to order our food, cause she kept having to go check things, help other customers and then try to figure out their menu. My shrimp Pad Thai had a couple of shrimp, but it was mostly just noodles. Same with the curry. I ended up adding more shrimp to it when I got home. This place used to be decent but I think something in management changed and it has dropped its standards. Im not sure we would go back in the future.

Ordered Pad ke Mao from this place today. Saw some good reviews on it. It was so poor in taste, the noodles taste like dough. With increased food prices, the quality has dropped significantly too. Disappointed. I reached out to them after the review, they were kind enough to give me a refund.

My go-to place! I would definitely recommend Pad Kra Pao crispy pork, tomyum (thai spicy!!), pad thai and their basil stir fry! For a snack, the fried banana is really good or something savoury would be spring roll. Go here once a week because it s that good!

Was in the other day and ordered khao soi with chicken. The chicken was some of the most disgusting looking chicken I have ever seen. There was no white meat at all. Just fatty and unedible fatty dark meat. Website says 10% discount for take out. When I asked about this when cashing out, she said only when paying with cash. Definitely will not be back.

My first Google review. I dont want to do this... but when we spend money on food we need quality. I think people who take money for food should care more about what they serve. First I must say the lady was nice...good service. The food however, was horrible. The spring rolls looks like they sat in oil overnight, it was all old grease and dark from the old oil they used to fry them. The chicken wings was so so. The guy with the red hair who was cooking was talking so much and so loud over the food without a masks. I wasted $30 on 5 wings and 4 spring rolls that I had to throw out.. it breaks my heart that restaurants think people who eat out are stupid. We know quality, we know cleanliness, we know when food are prepared with care,and we know value for our hard working $$$ So sad.

I go to this restaurant a lot with my dad whenever we are in the mood or crave Thai Food. The waitress and the owner of the restaurant are nice and friendly. The food is also, in my opinion, one of the most authentic Thai food in Toronto.

The physical atmosphere wasn t great, but it had nice plants and felt kind of tropical. The staff was very friendly and bubbly and made us feel right at home. I definitely recommend coming here to experience Thai cuisine.

Amazing food! We had a mid size bowl of hot and sour soup and it was different but way better than anywhere else. We also bought a lunch special red curry with chicken and it was very tasty as well. Our take out was neatly packaged and we got very good spring rolls and a small desert as well. We will definitely return.

Will be back to try other dishes. 07/14/24 Went back the Pad Thai, the portion was definitely smaller, it was not as saucy or spicy as last time and the chicken was weird. This is my favourite place for Thai food. It s a small intimate place with authentic cuisine that always meets expectations. It s also a nice treat to see the friendly people preparing your food in the back.

We re from out of town. Daughter & partner are new to the area, and have been here once. Tom Yum & Wonton soups weren t shared; however, they were eaten enthusiastically. Server exceptionally pleasant! Also on table: Pad Ke Mao, golden curry, extra rice, spring rolls, Khao Soi, mango salad - all spectacular. It was FAR too much so we asked for takeout containers. Our server packed them away for us - and so neatly, too! She came back with complimentary fried banana balls! We will absolutely return.

Dined at this simple Thai restaurant. We had the refreshing Mango Salad, spicy Pad Ke Mao (we chose the full spice level) which was deliciously spicy, and the Green Curry with steamed rice to calm down that fiery kick of the last dish. Towards the end of our dinner, we received some good, complimentary Fried Banana. Overall, great food and customer service.

Ordered through Skip while staying in Toronto ....so good! The oh my I cant decide platter and it was delicious. That peanut coconut dipping sauce is out of this world! I thought the pricing was great for the portions you get in return. Id definitely order from here again when Im.back in Toronto

We came here for dinner. A small little place with a half dozen of tables. The service was excellent. Free, prompt and refilling drinks. Taking orders and bringing food. But atmosphere is pretty nice. Its very cozy. The food comes in really large portions but everything tastes fresh and delicious. Really good value for the money. Would return.

Small corner shop with some good Thai food! We ordered the fried spring rolls, chicken Pad Gra Pao, shrimp pad Thai and received complimentary fried banana fritters for dessert! Spring rolls were great! Pad Thai was Smokey and we customised it to make it more spicy and not too sweet! The Pad Gra Pao was flavourful! Everything was cooked fresh and served straight out of a wok! Dessert was interesting (for those of you who enjoy fried bananas)

The dishes we ordered for our new years day dinner were delicious. It was our first time ordering from here and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Their Spicy Thai Eggplant was perfect along with the other 9 dishes we ordered. The chicken satay, Mango Salad and spicy Basil Chicken, noodles, Fresh Rolls, were all so tasty. The extra Banana fritters with Happy New Year written on the container was a nice touch. This will be our new go to take out place in Etobicoke.

As I m sitting in the restaurant I decided to write this review because I was blown away with how delicious and fresh the food is! My first time here and definitely not my last. And not to mention the service Bee provided, she was super sweet and attentive. At the end she brought these delicious fried banana balls free of charge. Great experience, thank you!

My favorite Thai place in the neighborhood... and actually probably my FAVE RESTAURANT in the neighborhood. The best thing about Thai Jalern is its authenticity. Having been to Thailand, and usually disappointed with thai food around the GTA (pad thai should NOT be fluorescent orange)... Im so happy that my bestie brought me here and now I cant stop coming back. The lunch specials are great value, the service is top notch and the food is fabulous.

I saw this place in my neighborhood quite a while ago and never bothered with it. Im always thinkin itll probably be just standard. I MUST say , I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered delivery of Pad See Ew and Mango sticky rice one time.They were both excellent! Pad sew Ew was perfectly seasoned ,the noodles kind of stickin to each other but I guess that happens for delivery food. The Mango sticky rice was def hit for me! My soul left my body on my very first bite. Heard angels sang alelujah! i found the best mango sticky rice out of all mango sticky rices I have ever tried,even better than the one I had on the streets of Thailand and on this upscale Thai resto in Dubai! Tonight I ordered 2 mango sticky rice for delivery. It was still warm and tasted just a expected, excellent! I hope you keep cooking great food for many more years! Next time well try dining in! :)

Great Thai food. A bit expensive.

I used to love this place and ordered often during Covid supporting a local place. Lately things have changed. I ordered online at 4:30 for a 6:15pm pickup. I get a call at 5:30 asking me where I was as my meal has been there for an hour. I told them to have a look at the pickup time and they saw it was for 6:15pm. I told them I ll come right away to pickup. The food was clearly cold and awful by this time. You would think for their error they would cook up a new meal but they didn t. Not sure if there are new owners?

I love this place. Its small, but in a wonderful quaint way. You get the feeling of home cooking. The food is incredible. Best Thai food in the city for me.

I rarely write google reviews. My brother and I ordered from here and it s gotta be some of the best food I ve ever had in my life. I got stir fry glass noodles with beef (Pad Woon Sen) and it was literally so delicious. They also gave us some fried bananas which were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back here and ordering again.

Came here for lunch few months ago and needless to say it was amazing all around. The service was so friendly, the food delicious, large in portions and excellent value. Plus the atmosphere was nice, I liked the BKK (Bangkok) to YYZ sign

Pad Thai was tasty, so were the curry chicken. I had the lunch combo and the portions were big for what it cost. The service was great but the place is lil outdated for a restaurant that isnt that old. This was 241 pizza shop for many years before Thai restaurant opened. I definitely will be back for more but probably will do take out instead.

It was an amazing experience. Mouth watering food. As we ordered spicy Pad thai with vegetables & tofu and also Thai Basil Fried rice. Quaint little place on dundas street with the authentic Thai food. I had the Chicken Pad Mao with Wonton soup and spring rolls, everything was freshly made, the spring rolls were also fresh and not store bought from the crispness. The server was responsive and gave good suggestions. Will definitely visit again.

The restaurant does most of its business through pickup and delivery, but is also a lovely place to dine in. With only four or five tables, its a cozy setting, perfect for couples or dining alone. Despite the small kitchen, the menu is extensive, and everything we tried was excellent. Service is friendly, and prices are very reasonable. Note that they dont serve alcohol. Parking can be tricky, but TTC lines 40 and 50, and Mississauga line 26 have a stop right there, and Islington station is a few steps away.

We ordered dinner from Thai Jalearn a couple of weeks ago for the first time. We ordered online which was very easy to do. We picked up our order as were less than 10 minutes away on foot and by the time we got home and plated the food, the food was still piping hot. We had the basil beef and vegetarian pad woon sen (along with rice) all of which was delicious. We had an order of vegetarian spring rolls which, unfortunately, we found to be over-fried and greasy. Regardless, we highly recommend this restaurant if you love Thai food. We plan on ordering from them again very soon.

Pretty authentic green curry and great portion too

Ive had pad thai from here several times and it was always great! We decided to try something else and got the Khao Soi and it was incredibly delicious. The curry was so tasty and rich I could have had a bowl of just the broth. They also give a discount for cash pickup which is an awesome deal!

WE LOVE THIS PLACE! My fiancé and I recently moved into the Kingsway neighbourhood, and this was the first restaurant we ate from as we were moving in to our place. We have ordered food from here so many times in the past few months and are constantly so so in love with their amazing food. Thank you for your consistent, delicious Thai cuisine! First time ordering from this establishment. Did so online which was straightforward, quick and easy. Order was ready for pickup at stated upon time. Service was friendly and the price very reasonable for the quantity of food provided. I ordered the lunch special Pad Thai with chicken and a side Wonton soup. It also came with a spring roll. Unfortunately the quality of the food was subpar. The broth in the Wonton soup had a strange sort of off putting sweetness and the Wontons were slightly tough. The spring roll was overdone and tough to chew and the dipping sauce was not balanced in flavour (all you could taste was vinegar and sugar). The Pad Thai was pedestrian, it could have used more fish sauce and some level of spice. The tofu was diced way too small and the peanuts should have been served in the dish as opposed to on the side. Perhaps thats nit picky but I think its important. Thai food is about precision and balance.

Good food and nice people, parking is a bit akward.

This is a small eatery and to maintain social distancing can only sit 8 people at a time. However, they may lack the space but certainly makes up for it with the delicious Thai food they serve. My favourite is their Pad Thai which can also be ordered in party tray size. I have also tried the curry, beef in basil sauce, mixed vegetables, chicken wings, calamari and they are all good. The lunch special is a good portion composed of spring roll, soup or mango salad and a main dish at a very reasonable price.

Service with a smile and genuine care! Such special touches during our visit made it feel very homey. She made accommodations for my grandma and all 3 tables in the restaurant were served a complimentary dessert of fried banana- so kind! I cant promise this will happen on your visit but this just speaks to the family style service youll receive. On top of that, the food was so flavourful. Will be back again for sure!

Pad Thai was yummy and with a pineapple rice was a perfect lunch to share.

We were looking for Thai food on Uber Eats and randomly chose this restaurant. So happy we did - every time we order take out from them the food is excellent. For reference, we typically order (and are very happy with) the Pad Thai, Lemongrass soup (Tom yum), Pad See Ewe, Green and Red curry, Crispy pork with chinese broccoli. This place is now our go-to Thai restaurant in etobicoke.

This has been our new go to for Thai food and its been an excellent experience every time. The phad thai noodles are excellent and the portions are very generous. There complimentary fried bananas are soooo good.

Ordered some Thai Red beef curry (x3 orders = $50) and it was only vegetables with very small beef pieces. Im very disappointed that they charge an extra $3-4/dish just for some plain rice on the side.. Totally not worth $15 + tax for a beef curry.

Ive been at Thai Jalearn for lunch three times in the last two months. We had the lunch specials and mixed platter. Everything was delicious and fresh. Prices and portions are very good and competitive considering how expensive the city is. The service was great, friendly and efficient. The waitress took the time to answer every question we had and make good suggestions. The restaurant feels like you are eating at someones small kitchen. We will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: The tofu and vegetables options were very tasty. The mango salad is a must.

EDIT** I am changing my review from 5 stars to 4 stars. Since the new management came in I ve noticed a drop in quality and portion size. The food just isn t the same as before. It s still nice but not as nice and the portions are smaller. I ve also received my order wrong a couple of times and since I m ordering delivery I can t do anything about it. Strangely enough I ve also received undercooked rice from them too.

By far, this is the worst Thai food I have had in Toronto in the last 20 years. Not sure how it is given 4 or 5 stars. My only guess is that they have not experienced other Thai restaurants in the city.

We got takeout there the pad thai 11.95 and the pad ke Mao 11.95. The food was good not Khao san road good but better than your average place. But they over charged us. My husband who did the pick up said the amount was 32 before tip and he tipped on that and didnt ask for a receipt. Good food but u need to check the recipe.

Unfortunately there was hair in the rice. Other dishes were not exciting, also lacking in meat/protein compared to other places.

My girlfriend has been trying to get me into thai food for a while, this place is the first place I really enjoyed it. Good food and great value too! Would definitely have become a regular takeout option for us but sadly we are moving.

Really good food, the crispy wonton and coconut shrimp are delicious and the pad Thai is my go to. ready so quickly and they even included some deep fried bananas, yum.

Back for a second time. Excellent take out! Sweet potatoes fries that were included with the wings were a little soggy. Other than that, everything else was great!

Excellent lunch specials. I ordered chicken skewers with steamed rice and a refreshing mango salad. Great flavours.

Great food. Friendly service. We tried their lunch specials Pad Thai with shrimp and Green Curry with chicken - mild. Pad thai was not the canadian usual with the red and sourness of ketchup, the dish was a tasty, hearty stir fry, great texture, nice amount of peanuts, shrimp and diced vegetables, we liked it 4/5. Green curry was mild as we had ordered, with nice rice, deep curry flavour, nice presentation 5/5. We went during COVID-19 stage 3, they were setup for takeout and had a couple tables spaced far apart. Decor needs a serious update but it was clean 3/5. Staff was friendly, chatty and polite, even heard her help a walk in customer pick the cheaper lunch specials! 5/5.

Very delicious Pad Thai, tried the shrimp one and the chicken one. Authentic recipe uses tamarind (no soy sauce or ketchup) and the portions are huge! The roasted flaked chillies are super spicy so add them sparingly until youre sure you can handle it. Curry puffs are good if you like sweet/savory mixes. Great location with a bit of parking at the rear.

I hate it when I leave a bad review but I feel that I should do it. I had Pad Thai there. Normally, Thai restaurants never go wrong with Pad Thai as its the most famous Thai dish. However, I regret to say that the Pad Thai dish I had there was not only the worst Pad Thai Ive ever had but also one of the worst meals I had in Toronto in the entire year. I informed the waitress that it didnt taste good and I showed her that I couldnt finish 1/3 of the dish and couldnt even pack it for takeout because Im not sure Ill be able to eat it next day but nothing much was done.

We tried this restaurant for the first time this evening and will certainly be back. Friendly service, fresh & yummy food at a decent price. The ladies gave us deep fried banana to try which was a nice touch at the end of our meal.

Nice little Thai restaurant. Been here a few times already and I plan on keep coming back. Always great food and great services. Authentic pad Thai, curry and they have the best mango salad.

I love this restaurant. I always order the chicken pad Thai and mango salad lunch special. It s always prepared quickly and the portion is large. You won t go hungry. Their spring rolls are really good too. I usually order take out and it s ready in 10 mins. I work in the area so it s fast, delicious and affordable.

Was highly recommended so we had to try out My Thai Kitchen. We ordered My Pad Thai, Pineapple and Chicken Fried Rice, and Mango Salad and everything tasted under seasoned. The best part was the mango salad. I would not recommend.

My rating has nothing to do with the food which was good. My issue was that the prices were higher when I arrived to pay along with them not offering the 20% discount unless I paid by cash which I did not have on me and didnt have time to get the money. Ive ordered there previously and didnt have an issue so this is very disappointing for me. They need to update the website for prices and this new discount requirement.

Used to like this place but it seems this location has gone downhill under new ownership. They also refused to honor a discount they had posted on their website. Will not go back.

First time having Thai Food. I Went with the pineapple chicken curry and a lemongrass soup . First Off the Service was outstanding, I was greeted by friendly people and even recommended the lemongrass soup. The food was so tasty and the portions were good. I will definitely be coming back . Id take a picture of my food but its all empty containers

Their menu items can be hit or miss. Most of the items are very well made whereas some others are a bit disappointing. Overall, they seem to know how to satisfy their customers with large portions and good prices!

First time ordering. Got the papaya salad, pad Thai and pad see ew. All dishes were good. They also gave us dessert (deep fried plantains) for free!
