I Ordered Shrimps with coconut Rice as take away, what i found back home was disgusting. Gave them 2 star for service and the coconut rice
The Malay curry was amazing. It was so flavourful and I loved the addition of roasted egg plants and variety of vegetables in the curry. For that reason alone, this will always be a staple item in my order. The server was so thoughtful and attentive and made our experience really nice Will definitely come back
The food and service were great! We had the Malay curry with rice and the Thai glass noodles. Big portions. Friendly service, they stayed open later so we could finish our dinner. Very clean which is much appreciated. Will definitely be coming back.
Friendly service and quaint decor with seating as well as a busy take out service. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls and green veggie curry and green seafood curry. The food was delicious. I almost wanted to order extra rice so that I could eat all the delicious curry sauce.
Unfortunately I would have to leave a poor review, because food is very underwhelming and bland. I had: - Green curry: quite bland and lacking seasoning. - ginger beef: it is boiled beef, not stir fried. - rice: cheapest rice out there to taste. But I must admit their delivery service is extremely fast and nice! That’s why 2 stars.
If you're a food enthusiast, you cannot miss the opportunity to dine at Vintage Thai. Trust me, it's that good. The flavors of their dishes are simply bursting with authenticity and quality, making it a must-visit restaurant. I recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Vintage Thai and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The intimate and cozy ambiance of the restaurant provided the perfect setting for a delightful time with loved ones. The trifecta of outstanding cuisine, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere guarantees a dining experience like no other. The staff at Vintage Thai are not only attentive, but genuinely friendly, adding to the overall positive energy of the place. And the best part? For the portions you receive, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. After discovering this hidden gem, Vintage Thai has now become one of my top choices for dining out.
Vintage Thai is one of the most authentic places with a beautiful atmosphere where we enjoyed one of our friends birthday there as venue. We ordered many starter’s including shrimp, calamari n chicken and mains as Thai noodles flavors which was so tasty and up-to the maximum satisfaction. Portions are good for two persons. The staff was friendly n fast delivery of food. Thank you Vintage Thai for excellent service. Thank you Deva for introducing the place.
Amazing place for delicious Thai food. Very friendly service and the owner is a great guy. Their Malay chicken and crispy beef are insanely tasty. I drive all the way from Brampton to get my Thai food fix and its totally worth the drive. Fair prices, good quality food, and friendly service, you won't regret this decision.
Lovely food, great price, and staff are very good at being accommodating!
The food and service were great! Try Red Sniper and Spicy Salmon if you are planning to visit here. Very clean and will definitely be coming back.
Had a lovely dine-in lunch meal in this cozy place. Both the basil chicken and pad Thai were generous portions. Service was both friendly and quick!
Delicious food. Great welcome! Verious dishes..
Best Thai Lemon soup I ever tried before, must try Thai Food Restaurant in town
Amazing food! So good I came back the next day for more! Go to this place! So tasty! Great atmosphere!
Wow wow wow amazing service, people and food! OMG we can not wait to come back
first time trying this place. I ordered chicken with peanut sauce. It was good and the serving was really big for one person which is awesome! :)
I want to share my experience in the place and for this occasion I must do it from my profession as a graphic designer and photographer. It is a very special restaurant with an excellent atmosphere accompanied by the sound of water and a good musical selection. I really liked the food, it maintains the flavors and presentation of dishes according to the menu and the traditions of the most authentic Chinese food. I want to help reinforce the advertising with some images that I took and worked on so that others have clear references, thank you very much for the attention provided, one day I will visit you again, Greetings Orlando.
taste good.
First timer but would never be the last for sure. Great first experience. The Soup Sour Soup is a excellent choice!!! A MUST TRY
Amazing food! I highly recommend this restaurant
Get the glass noodles omg
Amazing food! Best rice podding
Amazing food and service.
I went to Vintage Thai on August 06 2024 from Michigan. They were very friendly to me. They were almost about to close but they took my order and cook my dish with no problem. Very wonderful service. Five star rating. I will recommend this Thai food restaurant to everyone who visit Etobikoke.
Went to grab a quick bite to take out. Super quick and love love love their mango sticky rice dessert!! Good portions and friendly staff highly recommend
Great food and service. Wanna come again.
One of the best Delicious Thai cuisines in DT
Great place to eat with friends
The atmosphere is good, the CP value is high, and the service is friendly. It is highly recommended ~
Very good. The store clerk is friendly and cheap. Come to Canada to eat delicious food
The most acidic pad Thai and the most plain red curry ever! First of all, I had some dietary restrictions that workers simply ignored and put the mentioned food in my order. It took me asking them twice, for them to check my order and make sure I would not be dying from wrong cooking and not following my dietary instructions that were highlighting when ordering. The server simply said they don t read the orders, just prepared the food without checking for instructions on the receipt Second of all, my food was supposed to come with bamboo shots and they never said they will be no bamboo shoots. I message the owner and he created some excuse that they put me some vegetables instead and it comes with just few bamboo shots anyways so I guess they don t want to inform customers that some food might be not as in the menu. The food was awful, the pad Thai didn t have any peanut taste and the curry was extremely plain and it felt like it didn t have even salt The only good thing was spring rolls, just sadly they were put in the paper bag that was soaked in oil and all the containers were in oil too from spring rolls Just happy that I will never order from this place again. Made my anniversary dinner disappointing experience
First of all, we specified in our order to make it vegan and called ahead to make sure it s possible, but they forgot to read instructions and they put egg with the Pad Thai. Second of all it didn t taste good, the pad Thai had a vinegar taste and the red curry was plain, so a bit disappointing. The only positive point is that they made a new vegan dish pretty fast after their mistake.
Amazing food. Vintage signature combo was really good. Would love to come back. Great value
Consistently tasty good! Shenali, the hostess is very welcoming and accommodating of the requests. Would visit again!
Great food great service great atmosphere
The place was so lovely and warm welcoming Vegetarian options: Samosas and spring rolls were great Food : 5/5 |
The Vintage Malay Curry! So flavourful and delicious. I might have overate ! Will definitely be back!
Love the food and its generous portions, the representative is very friendly.
Shanali gave us a lovely service. The food was amazing!!!
Pretty good!
Excellent food and friendly service with great portion sizes. One of my favourite in Etobicoke
The food was great and very friendly service. Will be visiting or ordering again!
I always have the Malay beef curry with jasmine rice and its superb. Apparently the only place in the Greater Toronto area that has this dish. Highly recommended. The service is good too.
This is our go to spot for Thai and Malaysian food. Highly recommend the Vintage Pad Thai and Malay Chicken Curry. You won t be disappointed. Thank you Mo and team.
Came here with the family for dinner last night. We ordered the Dinner for Two, and the Vintage Thai Spicy Dinner for Two. The Dinner for Two came with 2 cans of pop, 2 spring rolls, chicken Pad Thai noodles, red curry chicken, and a small bowl of steamed rice. The Spicy Dinner for Two came with hot and sour soup, spicy beef noodles, Malaysian chicken, and a small bowl of steamed rice. We all tried from each other. The regular Dinner for Two was the better choice. The hot and sour soup had an odd taste - very sour - but no other flavours. The Malaysian chicken was okay - a little too heavy on curry for my taste. The red curry chicken was flavourful and both noodle dishes were great. Hubby had a beer and I had a lychee cocktail. Service was good, and it is a cute, small restaurant - tastefully decorated. I would definitely order the regular dinner for two again - good value and taste.
Yummy
Ask about their Malaysian dishes - fantastic!!
Great food, great service and very friendly staff!
Poor quality food. The only place weve seen that served Pad Woon Sen with curry (and its one of our regularly ordered items from other Thai restaurants), which really took away from it. The noodles were overcooked. The samosas were filled with a mushy mess. We wont be ordering from them again.
The best food ever in etobicoke! This is a hidden gem! Its my go to spot for thai food! If you like spicy youll love it! They have so much variety of food and everything is made fresh to order!!!! Must try!!
Very cleaned and tidy store
I ordered the golden curry with chicken and it was after a long days work .couldn t have asked for more!! It was perfectly spicy, lots of veggies including eggplant (which was unique and delish) the curry was beautifully golden and creamy and so decadent. Super satisfied with my order and the service:)
Food and service is good
Fantastic food, great service. Best Thai in Bloor west
Comfortable environment, kind service and delicious food. We had the calamari and crispy tofu appetizers. A popular choice for good reason. I recommend the glass noodle dish with mixed vegetables Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options available on the menu
Delicious food, very very good, crispy beef was awesome!! 100% I ll be back here And a stuff was sooo friendly! Thank you guys! Food
good food and good service.
Nice atmosphere
I love eating here, the food is fantastic! The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is clean. Ive dined in a few times and Ive done take out many times. This place never disappoints. Vegetarian options: There are vegan options
Good food, good quality and good price. Must visit if you like thai food.
Food was really good overall. Only issue is I found a hair in my food, and when I told the server she didn t do anything about it. Didn t even comment on the subject.
The red curry was very coconut-y, the curry pad thai was a nice mild level of spice, and the shrimp rolls were most definitely made in house.
Great food and service staff very kindly behave with anybody I highly recommend.
Very bad behave and service very bad and food was not good
Owner and staff very badly behave with my family I cant recommend
Recently I was in Toronto for a few days I had a good time at this place atmosphere was amazing the food was delicious and the friendly staff was highly recommend
The best Thai food in the town
Good food. Above all, Dev s service and hospitality was awesome..
One of my favourite places to go for Thai Food. Never disappoints. Good quality and fair price. Always has me coming back! Food : 5/5
I hate giving lousy reviews--hence, the underserved three stars. I went there with a friend for her 49th birthday and was wanting to try something new and different for us in the neighborhood. The food was terrible. I had the Thai chili chicken and the meat tasted old and tired. The samosas were bland. I had to ask for a glass for my Coke. In the end, I barked at the staff to get us the bill because they were sitting in the back behind a blind talking and completely ignoring us. Once was one time too many. I will not being going back.
This quaint restaurant was a most welcome surprise! I enjoyed a few excellent dishes. Very well prepared, fresh, served hot. This restaurant is well worth trying. The staff is delightful! Helpful and very pleasant service. Well worth trying! Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian choices Parking: Parking is not a problem. Plenty of paid parking spots. Good parking available
Vintage Thai is one of the most peaceful places with a beautiful atmosphere where we enjoyed our evening. We ordered a ginger beef , which was so tasty and we were highly satisfied. Portions are good for two persons. The staff was friendly n fast delivery of food. Highly recommended.
Vintage Thai is a one of the best restaurants in Toronto which serves authentic Thai & Malaysian fresh cuisines, the staff is also very friendly and of course foods are very affordable and delicious.
Highly recommend this restaurant!! The food was delicious, very hot when served and staff was very nice. Would definitely be returning!
Try the Thai spicy noodles with beef! So tasty!
We ordered Vintage Malay Curry (chicken) which was good and hot. We loved it. Shared within two which was enough for us. Good staff. Recommended dishes
Ordered take out from here. Both the pad Thai and green curry were great. Going to keep ordering from here.
*Finally leaving a review for this place after moving out of Toronto two years ago, so please note that all of my experiences with Vintage Thai were from 2021 and earlier* After all these years, Vintage Thai has remained my all-time favourite Thai restaurant. My girlfriend and I lived nearby and ate here more than 10 times. We never had a bad experience. Even my parents (whom we introduced to Vintage Thai) occasionally make the trip from Kitchener to eat here. My favourite dish was the Avocado Peanut Stirfry, though all of the veggie curries were also delicious and guests weve brought also raved about the meat dishes. Hope to return when Im in Toronto next! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options
Mouth watering authentic Thai cuisines. Whole family delighted with the taste. Portions are really satisfying. Free and fast delivey less than forty minutes. Highly recommended.
Food is tasteful, good portion, good presentation.... all pretty awesome. The customer service is outstanding. Thanks, Vintage Thai team for having done our Valentines Day so special.
Little gem of Thai food in the neighborhood. I was there with my family (young kids) for early dinner, so the place was quiet. The service was friendly and the food arrived fast. The food was very good, especially the coconut rice and the pad Thai. The portions were good, the price is very reasonable, especially for how tasty the food is. I highly recommend the place and will definitely return! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options and very tasty veggies. Kid-friendliness: Nice place but Not really kid friendly. There was not kids menu and no activities (e.g. crayons, colouring) for kids.
Great food and customer service
False advertising in their photos, food comes and it s not the same. Too salty & just way overpriced! There s better Thai places
Had a late lunch at Vintage Thai. My first time eating at this restaurant which serves Thai and Malaysian cuisine. I ordered the Thai Lemon Soup (Tom Yam) with Shrimps, Vegetable Samosa and the Fish and Spicy Sauce (Pla Rard Pirk). The soup has a generous serving of mushrooms, with lemon grass, lime juice and chili and served hot. With the fish, there was a choice of either salmon fillet or whole red snapper and I chose the latter. It was so worth it. The whole fish was fried to a crisp and bathed in a spicy curry chili coriander and garlic sauce. I can also taste the coconut milk. It also had mushrooms, red bell pepper and bokchoy. It was well seasoned and so flavourful, I just love it. The fish is actually good for two. I also ordered Thai Chicken Wings to go and they were delicious. I will surely go back to this place and will recommend it. Customer service is excellent and the price is reasonable.
Not bad but not as flavorful as some other Thai restaurants in town. The beef was a bit tough. Fairly decent decor. I think some Indian guys just took over and were trying hard.
I came here right as they were about to close and they were so kind to let me dine in. I ordered the crispy chicken and chicken fried rice and it was ready in minutes. The food was fresh, delicious and very tasty!
I was impressed with this place. Ive driven by it many times and never committed to trying it. Im so glad I did yesterday. My friends loved it too. I recommend this spot.
Great atmosphere, and absolutely amazing food
terrible place, the hours online and on the sign right on the window says that they re open till 11 and i ve been there three times already before 11 and they say that they re close with customers sitting down.
Friendliest customer service ever. Best Thai food in the town!!!
The best Thai place to have an amazing meal for a reasonable price. Friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend the Malay Curry
Food was delicious especially the eggplant vegetable dish.
Pad thai and tom yum soup was too sweet, probably won t eat here again. However, staff were absolutely wonderful and full of great energy, making sure we were okay. Interior decor is also wonderful.
You don t need to go to Downtown to taste top notch Thai food ! You won t go wrong eating here It s now our favourite Thai restaurant Food : 5/5
Food is delicious. I recommend this place. Food and Service is excellent I took the Glass noodles regular. It was one of the best dishes I ever had.
Visited the Restaurant yesterday love the food and ambiance. Since my initial visit, I have been a regular at Vintage Thai. They consistently deliver the best tasting Thai food around Toronto! Food : 5/5
The food is really good here.
This is by far the best Thai food in Etobicoke! Their crispy tofu is so tasty! Weve ordered curry seafood noodles and highly recommend to try!! Theyre generous with the portion, the wait time is decent and were not felt rushed given we arrived an hour before they closed! Youre not gonna regret coming here! Its a gem!
Friendly staff but the food didnt match the price point, unfortunately. I ordered the crisp beef and red curry chicken w rice on side. The beef was dry and overcooked and the curry and rice had minimal flavour.
ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS RESTAURANT I have never been so livid and upset on the verge of tears for a stupid food order yet here we are. I spent a total of $15.41 on a pathetic amount of poorly tasting food. I was scammed. 1. From the start the SKIP order page for this resto is malicious and deceptive. They advertise $7.99 for a Thai Lemon Soup, but thats not the real price. They force you to choose a veggie option $2 or meat for $3 and then if you want noodles its $3 more. So youre looking at $13.99 for a soup before tax and before fees. 2. I ordered it as pickup. I walked and got it, returned to my desk, opened the bag and saw a soup container the size of a Tim Hortons Chilli with no napkins or utensils 3. I opened the container to at least try it (after going to Sobeys to get a spoon) and there were 3-4 mushroom halves and a few pieces of chicken. That is when I wanted to cry. The description of the menu item stated Fresh Mushrooms and market-fresh vegetables served with lemongrass, lime juice and chilli. The only thing I recieved was the mushrooms and chicken. 4. the price and size is ridiculous compared to the area after I got my items. There is a Thai express in the area just as close, their pad Thai and fries rice dishes range from $15-18. The price is similar for vintage Thai, $15-20 for rice and noodle dishes. The price of a large bowl of soup from Thai Express is about $15.78 for their LARGE big big bowl of soup filled with veggies, noodles AND CHICKEN. Youd think vintage Thai would be better than the fast food chain and its absolutely disgusting that they served me that with a smile on their face and the audacity to staple a menu to the bag . 5. It doesnt even taste good, but it didnt taste terrible. It had the essential flavours youd expect from this soup but it was unusually sweet. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. As a PS, Ive been wanting to try this restaurant for 4 years, as they used to be located Dundas and Cordova and I finally psyched myself to try it since I worked across the street and Ive never been so disappointed in a restaurant in a very long time
Ive been ordering from vintage thai for years because I love their coconut soup... its so comforting. Ive noticed recently that theyve been really stepping up their game in other areas like the spring rolls and tofu skewers with peanut sauce. The order I just had was literally incredible and Ill definitely be ordering more often. Keep up the amazing work!
Spent $60 and picked up a soup, 2 shrimp rolls, a pad thai and a beef dish. Each item was disappointing. Peanuts were stale, beef was over cooked and shrimp rolls greasy and rubbery. Will not return, definately not worth it!!!!
I used to come to this restaurant and enjoyed it and even left a 5 star review. But last time i was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken satay which is delicious but the portions were very small. I cant believe i paid $9 for 2 skewers and it was hardly any chicken on it. Before i ordered the same thing and the portions were decent. I stopped going there since that and im not planing in going there anymore.
Such a authentic place and great customer service and food!
Dont trust the 4 stars. Prices went up so much and they decreased the food portions. You come hungry to the restaurant and leave the restaurant hungry. Was my last time Food
Cozy traditional Thai spot very small but welcoming atmosphere. Food was tasty not spicy at all, could ve had more spice
I used to go to this restaurant with my friends and liked the food, but what happened recently was extremely disgraceful, I dont think I would go there again! My colleagues arrived from different cities and I recommended them to have lunch at Vintage Thai as I liked the food there. There were 7 of us. We ordered a variety of appetizers, each of us ordered separate mains which included different curries, rice, and fried rice. There used to be a man in the restaurant he had always been very polite and friendly yet professional. But this time he was account a female (probably a family member), and she was least bothered about the service. It took 45 mins to prepare and serve the food. The appetizers were presented after we started eating our mains. Because of the delay in serving, we had to pack up our food. When one of my colleagues asked for the take away containers, the lady simply refused to give more than 4 containers. We were shocked!!! Almost each of us had our left over food and appetizers, and she had asked us to put everything in 4 take away containers. Not sure what was her deal but she was extremely rude and the guy behind the counter with her spoke the same language, not more than 4 take away containers! It was such an embarrassing moment for me as my colleagues were just looking at this situation in disbelief. We ordered more than $200 with of food and they were telling us that they cant give us containers??? Beside that, the food didnt taste great either as the beef was too chewy, and chicken was not seasoned properly. Even if the food could not live upto the standard, such pathetic service and rude behavior of the staff/owner leaves a bad taste in mouth. I just wished they had not behaved so cheap and stupid!
I recently found out about this Thai restaurant from a friend, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the food was absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. The Pad Thai was a standout, perfectly balanced between sweet and savory, and the Tom Yum soup had just the right amount of kick to it. Its evident that the chefs here take pride in their craft, and it truly shines through in each bite. The staff was also fantastic. They were attentive, friendly, and happy to offer recommendations from the menu. Their warm hospitality added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. And lets not forget about the ambiance - the restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere with great artifacts. Its a great place to unwind with friends and family, or for a romantic dinner. Overall, I cant recommend this place enough. I cant wait to return to try more of their offerings. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a memorable dining experience!
After sent incorrect order very late , 10.55pm delivery which ordered 9.55pm ,showing delivery time by 10.10pm when place order . When call , owner replied to contact Uber-eats and not refund for wrong item sent . Uber eats ask to coordinate with restaurant as they refuse to refund and respond to Uber eats . I would like to comment to restaurant owner to Pls be responsible , our money is also hard earn and not free, me and my Friend throw away entire food being quality was also very poor of green curry . We ordered Red curry . Attached photograph .
Best thai in the city
Love this place! They have an amazing price point for the quality and amount of food you get, highly recommend. The staff that are there are so nice and friendly, customer service is always very positive! My boyfriend and I order from here regularly and haven t yet been disappointed (pad thai, spring rolls and green curry) are our favourites.
Our favorite Thai place in town.
Horrible food. Ordered the cold spring rolls, friend rice and cashew chicken. The cold spring rolls had no flavour at all. The fried rice lacked flavour as well and extremely greasy. The cashew chicken was the biggest disappointment. Absolutely no flavour, the chicken was white from the lack of seasoning. If you want decent Thai food nearby, go to Bua Thai or Taste of Thailand cuisine. Their cashew chicken is SO MUCH better, not even comparable.
I dont think its Thai food. Besides, the flavor did not match the price they charged.
Best thai food place in canada
The best Thai food experience I ve ever had
Love the food! Quantity is great! Cozy atmosphere and very clean! Vegetarian options: So many Vegetarian options! Food : 5/5 |
Places like this are ridiculous, they advertise chicken and rice dish on UBEREATS for 16.99. THEN force 2 extra charges by picking rice and chicken? Completely false pricing this shouldnt be allowed on the app
Very disappointed with this place. Pictured is the curry pad Thai, but it was more of a soup than anything. Overly spiced and a mushy texture throughout that ruined the dish. At least the service was good.
Red curry chicken, best in town... Same as the Ginger beef! Really kind staff and food!
Delicious!!! The best red curry in town!!! Please try this one.
Please avoid this place at all costs - this is a disaster. My curry made me sick. Rice was a mush, the curry was flat. I had another bad experience at Green Mango. Is there a good Thai place near the Kingsway.
Ordered delivery from Vintage Thai Express. $19.99 for Basil Shrimp: a couple of mushy little shrimp in there, a bit of broccoli, a bit of orange pepper, onion slivers, and NO RICE. The ingredients are as described and the flavour is okay but thats not a $20 dish. Next was the Coconut soup. Dont expect the typical white Thai Coconut soup thats usually served at local Thai places; this one I was delivered is a very red broth with some coconut base (and maybe some red curry?) and some mushroom floating around in there with a bunch of residue on the bottom (maybe the lemongrass & galangal?), charged $4 extra for 3 mushy tiny shrimps in there too, for a total $12.99 + taxes for that soup. Again, the flavour is not bad, and the ingredients seemed fresh; we just think the portions/ingredients dont quite match the price.
Veggie pad thai tastes like ketchup... Literally worst thai food Ive ever had in my life. Do NOT trust the 5 star reviews, they are probably fake.
Their Pad Thai is awesome.
Great quality food, and very good flavours as well. The curried pad Thai was amazing! Service was great.
Best Thai food I ever had in Toronto..! missed that taste.. Gonna visit again for sure.
I ve ordered from here several times, always order the same thing - the chicken and shrimp stir-fried glass noodles. As I don t eat chicken, and because there is no shrimp only option on the menu, I would always request for them to replace the chicken with extra shrimp. I never had issues with this special request until today. I ordered online as usual, but called in to ask if they could correct my order. Without going into detail, I ll just say the lady on the phone was very unhelpful and unpleasant. Will not order from here again simply due to the lack of hospitality.
Amazing food!
No lime, no cuttlery, bland taste/no flavour in the pad thai. Spring roll was good.
Ordered one of their curries and it barely came with chicken. They re also very stingy with their rice! Overall, overpriced and not worth it!
This is a beautiful little restaurant managed by lovely people. We ordered their Famous Pad Thai, Green mango salad, Veg Spring rolls and Chicken Satay. Everything was on point - well balanced and comes with generous portions. P.S- Their Green Mango Salad is to die for! Im definitely paying them a visit again
Usually my go-to for take-out. Vegetarian options and tasty!
I didnt get a chance to try this place. I got a coupon to try their dinner for two. Called in as their coupon has no expiry date and got told they upped the price by $5. I asked them to honor the price and they refused saying that it was a mistake. Bad customer service! We never eaten here before and it looks like we never will to a restaurant that refuses to honor their price. They gave us so many excuses as why. It was so ridiculous. If they had just honoured the price and we had come a second the price was raised it would have been fine. It would not have stopped us from coming back if the taste was good but we are neither of that.
Huge variety of dishes. Everything was fresh and delicious. Generous portions and friendly service. My favorite Thai restaurant.
Great service with really tasty authentic food. I have Thai ethnicity in my extended family and the food here really projects the same flavours and smells of a tasty colourful meal. The green and red curries were fantastic, we had them with sticky rice and peanut butter sauce (if youre going with coconut rice, its on the sweeter side, heads up). The mango salad and spring rolls were excellent as well! Well prepared at a very fast pace and the waitress was pleasant and always checked in on us.
Extremely poor service. The staff at the phone is so rude. That treat as if they are doing a favour on us by sending food. Extremely expensive yet no customer service. The orders are always delayed. They commit a shorter time of delivery and delay the order by over an hour.
Terrible! Worst Fresh Rolls, you can make what they make at home. Please save your money! Respectfully.
I had the coconut mushrooms chicken soup it was delicious and I will recommend that to anyone who loves soups
I personally don t understand the negative reviews here. I ve been coming to this place (even when they had their other location in roncevalles) for 10+ years. Everything I ve had has been amazing but I ALWAYS get the Chicken Malay Curry with roti. It NEVER disappoints and everyone I ve told about this place has fallen in love as well. I ve driven from Brampton when I lived there, the other side of Toronto and Mississauga just to get my fix from them. The owner and staff are super friendly people. I ll always continue to support them. Whenever I crave a real good meal with tons of flavour, they re usually my first craving
Fresh, healthy, delicious coconut curry and good size potion too. Really enjoyed this family restaurant!
Came here for dine in and take out, the food is AMAZING. Brought the whole work crew in, not a sad or unsatisfied stomach in sight. Fresh, vibrant Thai food, spices galore, very reasonable prices, especially for the lunch take out special (huge portions). Malay curry is out of this world!!
Ordered the basil beef and rice. $17 for the beef and had to pay another $4 for rice. Disappointed I had to pay extra. Just average flavor, beef tasted a little tough. I finished eating and was working on my phone and the girl came over with the bill and hovered over me. Really uncomfortable like I had to stop what I was doing and pay her.
Ordered veg pad thai today and it was noodles drenched in tomato ketchup with a couple of veggies for namesake. All I could taste was KETCHUP. The worst pad thai I ever had. Would never go back again.
This is a lovely restaurant serving mouthwatering delicious Thai food. My family enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The staff was friendly and offered quick service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Low quality food. Taste is dilute, rice is dry. Ordered the green curry, basil beef, and chili chicken. Really disappointed - overly lemony, thin flavor, just poor quality all around. Spring rolls were nice, tho. Wont be ordering from here again.
They changed. Used to be decent pad Thai, now the owner is cheap and started using too much ketchup in pad Thai s. Used to get free samosa or spring roll on pick up order but they changed it AND changed the price of a pad Thai. I am a local that used to advocate this restaurant - now I advise you stay away
Must be new. A little unorganized, plain rice expensive. Ordered a lamb dish, lots of gravy didnt come with rice, wasnt told about that. Staff very friendly. They are local Ill give them another try one day.
What an amazing experience! The food was absolutely great! The owner and staff was extensive friendly! This is a place for a nice cozy dinner! I recommend everyone should visit here for a meal!
Absolutely delicious. I could eat here every day!
The Tom yum soup tastes stale & had 10 small mushrooms and 5 small shrimps. The broth stank. Couldn t drink it. The pad thai was ok with tofu but nothing outstanding at all, like my somalima roommate makes a better pad thai haha
Food is usually good but delivery has become terrible. We order through the website and they have not fulfilled two $50 orders - after an hour of waiting, we had to call only to be told the order wasnt being made. Then we gave them one more shot tonight with a $70+ order and the food arrives but it is missing sauces. We paid $5 for sticky rice with peanut sauce that doesnt have peanut sauce and the sticky rice itself is rock hard and inedible. See the pics attached where my wife cant even pull the rice apart by hand. Total waste of money. We also ordered cold spring rolls at $10 which are also missing peanut sauce. The staff is completely unhelpful when you call, I asked for a refund given the sequence of negative experiences weve had and the manager Sam said no refunds, but well remake the food and send it to you. I dont know if there has been a change in management or they just dont care anymore, but I wont order from Vintage Thai again.
My friend and I popped in for lunch as we were talking by. Food was amazing, we shared a crispy beef and a chicken glass noodle. Friendly host/ owner, yummy food and love the interior decorations. Will be back for sure.
Flavorful food and great service! Highly recommend!
Great service. Delicious food. Love it.
Awesome food with a reasonable price ,highly recommend.
Ordered the Malay curry and Thai Green Curry with rice. Excellent flavour and the sauce was the X Factor. Nice and simple. Perfect lunch meal for a cold day.
Decided to try them because we received a menu with a coupon. Wanted to try the dinner for 2 and asked to a non spicy version of the chicken dish. Was told that they couldnt do that. Couldnt acccomodate a less spicy request? Right. Thats not how you gain customers.
A quiet Thai and Malaysian restaurant near Islington Station with delivery options and a nice dinner ambience with candles and lovely decor. We ordered the Thai Lemon Soup (Tom Yam/Yum) with Coconut Rice and Chicken Stir-Fry Glass Noodles (Pad Woon Sen). Everything was nicely prepared and portions were decent! Never had coconut rice that was still filled with coconut milk before though; most places had rice infused with coconut flavour without the liquid. All the food was cooked well and very flavourful. Would come back again for the food and try other items on their menu! The staff were very friendly albeit a bit timid but checked in on our table. The restaurant is fairly quiet and does not get a lot of foot traffic but worth the stop by for food! We had a great time at dinner with the nice interior decor and the faint hum of cooking and tv in the background.
Overheard the main server (glasses, shoulder length or longer black hair, pale face) gossiping about a customer. It was unpleasant to hear. They barely came to check in on their customers today, so it was shocking to hear the server commenting about how long a customer was staying when they were particularly mia with service today. I may have misheard, & I sincerely hope that I did. The tone was mocking and concerning. :(
I generally place an order here twice a month since I adore it, but in the last couple of months, the foods taste has altered. I made a pick-up order for a Thai-Malay dish this afternoon. The prior time, quantity of the dish was a bit less of it, so I overlooked it thinking that this could happen occasionally, but today, there was nearly no curry at all in the dish. I am so very disappointed. Broccoli now tastes different from before and the level of spiciness has decreased. I really like this restaurant and the cuisine there makes me miss my home, therefore I hope this review will be taken into consideration. I wish I could have the same type of cuisine I used to have a few months ago.
order came an hour late and was cold
We recently fell for the rebranding of Vintage Thai to Ceylon Thai on Uber eats. Both of these restaurants are the same location/food and yet Ceylon Thai is listed as a different address (random apartment right next to Vintage Thai) and both are offered separately on Uber Eats. We thought we were ordering from a new Thai restaurant in our area and when we went to pick up realized it was just Vintage Thai where we ve had consistently disappointing meals (Pad Thai tastes like ketchup, chicken is low quality and chewy, other meals we ve tried have been just ok). Using two different names for the same restaurant is deceptive.
If you need reliable, consistent and absolutely delicious Thai that is not only authentic but has the most reasonable portion size. Best Thai food I ve had! Friendly service too. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
Very impressed with the food quality from Ceylon Thai! I ordered the dinner for two. Meal included: - Hot & Sour chicken soup - pad thai - beef red thai curry - complimentary veg samosas Food was DELICIOUS! would absolutely order from Ceylon Thai again!
Malaya Curry was simply delicious. I ve tried it before too in other places, but what they served just added another favorite curry to my list. The texture and quality of rice was apt. The owner was humble, very friendly and nice to talk to. The restaurant is nice and cozy. Loved the food and its my go to restaurant.
Best Thai food in Etobicoke, the service and food is great
Have been coming here for a couple of years and wont be coming back unfortunately. Portions are half of what it used to be. Unsatisfying when youre hungry. Food is good though
Had a great time eating Thai food. The food were really delicious and the portion was more than we expected. Great atmosphere and friendly customer service. Can recommend for anyone craving for authentic Thai food.
Good service Great food Great price Nice presentation Friendly staff Veg Pad Thai was delicious and so was chicken fried rice Thank you for having us
Nope nope nope. I was very clear as to what I ordered. I was specific as what not to add to the dish and he nodded his head and proceeded to completely ignore my request. Salad King remains to be the best Thai in T.O.
Worst Pad Thai ever. I couldnt finish half of it. It was not a pad thai at all. I would say, it was a blend of flat Rice noodle with some sour sauce, some tofu, chicken amd couple of shirmps. I been to Thailand myself and I ate at different thai places across GTA also and this is nothing near to pad thai taste. Waste of 18 bucks along with 3 dollars for street parking. A complete ripoff for this non-quality food. Will never come here.
Highly recommended! Fresh and authentic Thai food! Staff is very friendly and accomodating.
Legit authentic Thai! Absolutely outstanding.
Best experience and prices and food
A small cozy restaurant at a convenient location. Friendly staff. The pad thai portion was large for its price. It was delicious. The prices are reasonable for a Toronto Asian restaurant. I support small businesses and was happy I found this place to meet up with my friends. Some observations. The physical menu I picked up was was stained with sauce. Perhaps they should think about moving to a QR code-activated menu in a COVID-conscious environment. The space is tight in the restaurant so when there are more customers, they should have a plan in place to keep social distancing. Thank you for the service.
I loved the Thai noodle. Cant wait to try other dishes!
Excellent meal. Enjoyed dining in doors
Finally had an opportunity to try this place out a while ago. The dude who took my take out order wasnt wearing a mask. The spring roll were pretty tasty....but the pad thai itself was really quite nasty. An hour later I was throwing up....and reading magazines for quite some time in the bathroom. Very disappointed....and I wont be back.
So upset at some restaurants now. Within the past 2 weeks weTried to support local restaurants and some are just trying to make a quick buck ! Expensive but lacking quality.. I am upset at this place because I feel they took advantage and push a soup which it was a water down version of the first dish with some mushrooms It was supposed to be a coconut soup!!! For an order for one over $25.00. Very disappointed And it was suppose to be a lunch especial
Was pretty disappointed with this place. We ordered the crispy beef with a side of steamed rice and the coconut soup with shrimp. The crispy beef was good although a bit burnt and had an overly sweet taste. The soup was the bigger disappointment compared to the image on the menu. Although the base taste was good we ordered with shrimps and it was quite different then expected as seen in the photo. Finally there was a smoking smell that wafted by a couple times that we couldn t pinpoint the source.
one of the best Thai restaurants in the west end ... super friendly staff and delicious dishes
Hands down worst thai food Ive had in Toronto. Both the pad thai (photo attached) and pad see ew (I believe they call it soya noodles) were so overcooked the noodles were mush. The pad thai was also insanely sweet and had a ton of filler carrot strings in it. The green curry tasted like green curry but no depth of flavour, very thin/watery broth and had a ton of random big vegetable non-traditional chunks in it. Wont be coming back... If you like authentic Thai food (ex. Khaosan Road, Pai, Sabai Sabai, Eat BKK Thai Kitchen) stay far away from this spot. First time Ive ever Ive actually thrown out take-out.
Went for a quick snack. The server was not welcoming, had to wait at the door for two min and had to call them to get noticed. I ordered hot and sour soup with seafood. The hot and sour soup taste like manchurian soup. Did not really feel like hot and sour soup. The seafood was not fresh and tasted rubbery.
This Thai restaurant was simply AMAZING. My family and I stopped to eat here on our trip to Toronto all the way from the USA. We were looking for a decent place to eat but my gosh, this place blew us away. The food was SOO flavorful and delicious. Everything was perfect. The pineapple fried rice that the wonderful hostess suggested was superb Along with everything else we ordered. Truly cannot recommend this place more. The amount of food we got was also just insane. We had enough to last Us for the rest of the day. Had to take it back to the hotel. The quality of the food was so good as well truly if you re in the vicinity, stop by. You won t be disappointed.
The Pad Thai tastes like ketchup. Don t order it, it tastes like it was soaked in Heinz.
I ordered the Veggie Pad Thai. Let s just say I wouldn t get it again. It had a strong metal taste to it.
Good portions and flavour
Ordered almost $100 of food on Uber Eats. It was very late, and I could not adjust the $15 advance tip I gave as they didnt complete the order on the app. Because delivery was so late, the tofu was totally cold. The rice was only half full (its a small container too!). Soup was good flavour but so small for price. The whole order was way overpriced & since they send out their own drivers for delivery, youre at their mercy & clearly they dont care about when you eat. Total rip off.
Best thai red curry in town!
