Burger overcooked, too noisy

Tastless food, not worth it...

Calamari was plain, no sauce. Corn was tasteless. Steak was missing taste. Mashed potatos tasted like instant potato. Really plain food. Will not return.

Everone enjoyed the food with zero complaints our server was new and didnt really know the menu but that didnt stop us. Our only complaint was we were seated on the bar side by the motorcycle and it was the beginning of November and wasnt too cold out but every time the door opened we got a gust of cold air, they need to use the double door entrance in the winter or have another plan for that.

Came in with a big team and the staff/manager ensured we were well taken care of. Can t beat the menu prices and variety!

First & last time there. I asked for the Buffalo chicken tenders with sweet potatos fries, but I asked for the Buffalo sauce on the side.. get home and I just got regular chicken. Tenders with no Buffalo sauce and come to my surprise that when you order sweet potatos fries THE CUSTOMER is the one to ask for the Chipotle dipping sauce...thats host/waiters job, and it should be an automatic sauce to included when ordering Sweet potato fries. Attention to detail is bad.

Went to chucks last night and was super happy with the service. The owners were out helping the servers wherever they could and came around to ask how we were doing! We will definitely be back as this place is super efficient and organized!

Everytime we come to this Fergus Chucks location the service is always amazing and very efficient. The prices are cheap, food is tasty and atmosphere is great. Perfect spot to watch a football or hockey game. Highly recommend.

We went for dinner and the wings that I ordered was so under cook it was gross. When i asked for them to be well done. Then the owner told me thats how they are. What under cooked wow .I will never go to that one ever again.

Last weekend, I visited Chucks Roadhouse and was impressed. Even though it was busy, the service was top-notch, and the wait time was minimal. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and fingers both were delicious and well-prepared

Since the Chucks in Fergus opened we have gone about three times and it was always fantastic until today. We decided to go out to dinner this evening for my sons birthday with family because we said how great it was. It has been the worst experience ever. We werent even seated properly. The hostess cleaned our table and came back over and just pointed to our table. So first off we seated our ourselves. Then it took about 15 mins just to figure out who was serving us because we had to ask for ourselves. Then it took like 10 mins or more for drinks to come but they forgot my water which should have been the first drink served. So took about another 5 mins. Did you go to well and pump the water yourself? Our meals took over half an hour to come and we even ordered both my sons meals during our drink order so you can imagine how long that took. A server came over with the wrong order, then when the food was served my meal was still missing and took another 5 mins. The table behind us who was seated while we were already there had been served and out before we even left left. We mentioned the awful service and how we felt our experience was going but all they could comp was a cobbler no one wanted. Blamed it on being busy which it definitely was not. My husband has worked multiple kitchen/restaurant jobs and this by far was not considered a busy night. They gave us complimentary $10 (two $5 coupons) for the next time we come but I dont think we will be going there again. I honestly dont think they will last long with the way service has declined as rapidly as it has.

Tried to go on weekend. Was sat right away but nobody ever came to take our drink order. Nobody even came near our table for over 20 mins or close enough to even try to get anyone s attention. Watched multiple tables who were seated after us get served drinks and even appetizers, so we finally gave up and left.

The food was affordable but just okay. I got the 20 oz porterhouse but was only able to consume about 12 ounces due to tough grissel. My vegetable side was a small dish of corn that was from frozen. Serving seasonal veggies is a must. If felt understaffed and the motorcycle that sits in the front door smells like wet rubber.

Stopped in on Sunday on the way home from a day trip. If we got six different things to eat and everybodys food was absolutely phenomenal It was hot it was quick making we had some french fries and two chicken fingers left for the kids to take to school the next day. I will stop by again the next time Im in town.

We have not had good luck at several Chucks RD, food was terrible at all but the one in Goderich, However, today at Fergus Chucks the food was amazing!! Came out piping hot, was cooked great and very delicious! Well done Chucks Roadhouse of Fergus! We will definately return!

Came in after 9pm . Ordered Nachos and Spinach dip. Nachos were covered in rotten onions . Literally brown and slimy . We told the waitress right away but nothing was offered. We tried to pick them off and ended up eating 1/3 of them before we gave up. Eventually they were taken off the bill but not without us asking and waiting forever for management approval. We could both tell the waitresses hands were tied and there was nothing she could do . This isnt the first bad experience we have had here but it will be our last. Let me be clear. This is an ownership/Management problem .

Ive been to a lot of different Chucks but this one stood out. First thing I noticed was how clean it was. Ive had the same meal at several locations and this one was the best. Service was excellent too.

Do not recommended, we sat for 20 minutes no one even came to take our drink order. We moved to the bar where we were served right away. My daughter ordered steak bites they tasted old hard and deep fryed, we returned them, Steak came extremely under cooked rare. Will not be back and would not recommend going back.

Last weekend my husband and I went to Chucks Fergus for dinner. I ordered steak medium rare. When the steak came out it was overcooked (tiny tiny bit of pink in the middle). I told the server and he said no problem and brought it back to the kitchen. A minute later a woman in street clothes and chewing gum came to my table with it. She did not introduce herself but proceeded to tell me that it was in fact medium rare and I was wrong but she would make the new one rare because thats what I really wanted. When she brought out the new steak it was so rare I couldnt eat it. The server Brody who was lovely, kind and patient was the best part of the meal but I was done after that. Please look into some customer service training for management for the sake of the business and the regular staff. Please dont send a generic autoreply you send everyone else it just confirms the fact you dont really care about your customers.

I decided to try Chucks Roadhouse, a new restaurant that opened not long ago in Fergus, Ontario. I went in for lunch today and the food was OK, but I am NEVER going back. Why not, you ask? Looking at the bill, when I got home, I noticed a charge called HONEST TO GOODNESS FEE 3.00%. What is a honest to goodness fee? The bill doesnt explain it and the server didnt mention it. As if that wasnt bad enough, being charged for a ghost fee, the 3% is calculated on the full cost of the meal which includes the HST. What a ripoff! In these difficult times, when we are all struggling to make ends meet due to inflation and non stop price increases, it is an affront to be charged an extra 3%, even more so for pensioners, like myself, who are on a fixed income. Shame Chucks Roadhouse!

My husband and I go out quite often, I hope if you visit this location that you get Kelly as your server! She was friendly, communicated well, quick to clear our table once ready. We had a great first experience at this location!

Went for dinner with my wife and grandmother. It was after 9 so quite empty in a small town. When we walked in we waited 5 minutes to be acknowledged and the manager was at the bar drinking a beer. The server we had was definitely stretched too thinly due to her coming to our table 3 times all night, and other servers questioned where she was. Food was good, until chicken wings came out raw. Definitely has gone down hill since opening Dietary restrictions: Doesn t have gluten free. Parking: Spots are very limited.

I would give the Fergus Chucks location zero stars if I could. We sat there for 1.75 hours and didnt even get served drinks. I understand it was busy and they were short staffed but thats honestly no excuse for not even being able to bring us a glass of water. I had to grab menus for myself and the others we were with. Crayons and a menu for my child and just ended up walking across the road to get food for my 2 year old and left with no food or drinks for myself and the other 5 people we were dining with. This location will not last if this continues.

Ive been here a few times and I really like the place. The food is actually good and the prices are very reasonable. The wait time on the food is fast!! Very fast!! The staff is always friendly, I honestly dont have any complaints. Kid-friendliness: There is a kid menu and its very simple and very good. My son always gets the grilled cheese with chocolate milk.

I dont even know where to start. Last week my family and I were in for dinner. We ordered 4 different entrees and all were disappointing to say the least. The meat that I received had actually gone rancid, and when I brought this up to the owner who introduced himself as Montz, he was extremely condescending and rude. This wasnt even the worst part, we also watched the way he interacted with his young female staff and were very off put by it. As a business owner myself, this experience was far from exemplary customer service and I would not recommend anybody spend their hard earned money here. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

Food was really bad .we got burned fries and wings

Just came to this place for the first time, I m not impressed at all.. first off we order a bruschetta to start and the bruschetta had a wedge of a tomato cut up and place on, so we gave them another shot and ordered it again, this time it looked like a actual bruschetta.. 2nd I ordered the Cajun sandwich, my meat was super cold.. and had to get remade. Brought concerns up with the manager/owner who didn t seem apologetic or anything. I simply said I will not spend my money here. I suggest you guys don t either.. Lastly, upon checking my bill, my wife ordered the Buffalo chicken fingers the waitress asked if she would like Southwest Ranch with it instead and she said yes, but didn t indicate there was a up charge of $1.50. This place just seems like they re trying to scam people for a little pennies here and there. Be aware when eating in this establishment To the owner, you need to know how to talk to customers. Especially ones that bring complaints to better your business to surface

I came here with my family and the food was amazing best ever, we got some ribs and some apps and everything was delicious no complaints. Also the Service was amazing and kind and was on top of everything. DEFINITELY COMING BACK!!!

I went in to try the half price appetizers and was pleasantly surprised on the large portions. I had the most amazing waitress who had a great sense of humour, I believe her name was Kelly. If your ever there, make sure to ask for her section. I didnt wait long for anything and she was always checking in to make sure I was enjoying the food and drinks all with a smile and joke here and there. I will be back for sure.

Quality was meh, the owners don t seem very friendly and insist on arguing with customers. Overall not a great experience.

New and clean. Friendly staff and good service. Unfortunately the fish and Chips was mediocre. Seemed like frozen food deep fried and warmed up. I have been there before and like their smoked meat sandwich and burgers. Very noisy inside.

Food was terrible and service was terrible. I will never go back to chuck s in fergus. Lettuce was limp and brown, very wet trying to save it longer than necessary. They had ample staff but our server never once came to check our order. My food was wrong and I waited while my wife ate, then left without eating as nobody STILL came to the table.

So glad to have Chucks in Fergus! Been there several times now and the food is always great as well as the service! Awesome value! A+++

Terrible service. Waited 40 minutes for our server to take our food order. Tables around us(also served by the same server) came in after us and had their food. By the time I got a manager to take our order, we had been waiting over an hour. There was no apology from the manager or server. We were not asked if we wanted refills of our drinks, and were generally ignored altogether. That is of course until it was time to pay the bill. They were all over that. The server (who had ignored us) Came to ask three times if we were ready to pay(my son was still eating). If there were negative stars for service, I d be using them.

Our experience was great right from walking in the door. We were greeted promptly, and chose our seat. Our server Michelle was awesome! We got our drinks, and our appetizer very quickly (we chose the goat cheese dip). We talked to Michelle about our menu choices that she helped with & she had knowledge on all the items, and we ended up choosing 2 steak dinners with a side of mushrooms. Steaks were cooked to perfection (med and med rare) and very tasty. My only complaint with the meal is having to pay extra for mashed potato s & I am not a fan of the vegetable being corn. I prefer a mixed or grilled veg when I am having a steak. Overall our experience was great. Michelle was an amazing waitress and made the experience that much better! A big thing to me in a space is cleanliness and the building as a whole was very clean, washrooms included. We would go back for sure!

I was hoping that chucks will bring some excitement to Fergus and being open late what I was looking for .Service poor,food hit and miss,management sucks l was there last night ordered my food shrimp tempura and Wings the guy sat beside me 14 minutes after me ordered a steak.to my right side was a party of six also ordered after me the owner brought the steak to the gentleman beside me they sarved the party and to make shrimp and wings takes 5 minutes max,so I asked the bartender where is the food she replied shortly so I said at this point to cancell the owner came no you have to pay or take it home at that time she pissed me off I only pay for the win then I will call the police i said go for it the most ignorant management ever gren in this business I allredy called her they ripped me off on hockey night they charged me double the amount I will never go back there there better pubs in town like Off Side,brew house just to name few.They Street you like we dont need you.We will see their empty establishment soon. .

My family and I had to wait to be seated even though the place was almost empty. The waitress was super nice, and the food was okay. However, I m giving this place 3 stars because when they asked if we wanted any condiments besides ketchup, we requested mayonnaise. They brought us a half cup and then charged us for it. I have never paid extra for condiments at other restaurants like this!

Had the pleasure speaking with the owner was a very friendly gentleman very Gracious. The staff was a amazing looked after us right away our server was always asking if we needed anything else and the food was great quality as chucks is. I would recommend and definitely go back. P Kid-friendliness: We had 2 kids with us and our server treated them like adults ask them direct questions and working thru there gibberish to get them exactly with they wanted.

Visited this restaurant yesterday for lunch and had an amazing experience! Our server Jess was so friendly and telling us their beer specials and helping us with the menu, food was amazing and fast! We were a group of 6 people,we ordered serf and turf our food was hot and cooked up to the mark, The manager checked with us twice Thats a very kind gesture. Its our go to spot now.great vibes,delicious food and welcoming staff.highly recommended.

We were seated, ordered water and garlic bread. Waited 25 minutes for someone to notice we still hadnt ordered our meals. People who arrived after us ordered and finished their meals before we received ours. Other patrons sat for at least 20 minutes before even having their drink order taken. Wait time for the food was half hour, for two burgers and chicken. Service was awful and when we made mention to the person running the restaurant, we got a very curt sorry. None of the kitchen staff wear any kind of hair net, gloves, nothing. We will never eat here again. Total time in the restaurant was an hour and 45 minutes. Most of that was waiting to be served and waiting on the bill. We could have just walked out without paying and no one would have noticed

We were seated and waited over 20 minutes with not one person even acknowledging we were there. The restaurant was not full and serving staff were at times standing talking with the bartender. We left and went to a different restaurant where we had our first drinks and appies in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant chain is good but this location needs to be better organized and train their staff better.

We came into Chucks to have some drinks with some friends. When we walk in they mention that there will be a 20-25 minute wait as one of their fryers is down. No big deal, we said we were only here for drinks so the host went to go ask her manager if we could be seated. For some reason they said no and we would still have to wait 20-25 minutes. We left confused and a bit (a lot) annoyed. I didn t realize that having drinks was reliant on a fryer. This was my first time visiting and will definitely be my last.

Stunningly mediocre. Typical pub food. All of our items were overcooked, and we are talking simple pub fare. And perhaps you open up the purse strings and actually put tomatoes on your bruschetta. It s like the line cook is being compensated by how much produce he does use. BIG meh, save your money.

We had an excellent experience tonight. Dropped in between laundry loads and knew what we wanted and ordered right away. The hostess was pleasent and out waitress Kyla was very sweet, nice, efficient and aware we will kinda on a time line. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious . They even switched the basketball game to the Jays game for us. The energy was great in the whole restaurant. My first experience at this Chucks was definitely great!!!

First time visiting this location, you can tell it s a new place with new staff and they are making it work, it can only get better. Good food, good price, good service. Was also nice to see a place pretty busy on a Tuesday evening.

For a new chain establishment, the customer service is poor. Waiting 20min for just drinks before even ordering a meal. Our waiter is showing a lack of experience and effort. Now knowing, This restaurant definitely will NOT be my first choice to go to.

How come all the good reviews are from people who work there? And they comment on the owner not being the same as the Arthur location, because that place is atrocious yet I recognize him from the Arthur location when he tried to make me pay for the frozen bread that was served. Only been here twice and wont go back. Its going to match the Arthur location in no time.

I really wanted to like this place as it had the potential to be a decent go to spot in Fergus. I was very disappointed. Clearly the morale is low. The staff appear to be very unhappy and not working together are a team. The service was terrible. The food was mediocre at best. Very unorganized restaurant. Managers appeared to treat the staff poorly Anyone I mentioned my experience to has indicated that theirs had been similar. Definitely will not be back !

Came in for a quick bite and a couple drinks! I sat at the bar and was served by Michelle, great service and attention to detail even with the fact that I am extremely picky! Drinks were tasty and food was delicious but I will definitely be back for the service over anything:) Thanks again Michelle!!

Service was good at fergus location. Food was terrible, ordered a t bone steak medium rare. It was very well done , dry, and super thin. Almost burnt. The fries was such a small order. My son got the bacon cheese burger. Bacon was over cooked and hard, burger was dried out and over cooked. I will not be going back

I had high expectations for chucks but I was disappointed fast. Salad was soggy with almost 0 dressing, lobster was GROSS, my burger was so incredibly dry, the game was so loud our waitress couldnt hear us when she wasnt too busy chatting with other servers when we needed something, we had to go up to her to get her attention. All in all absolutely terrible experience
