Mary Brown's Chicken in Fergus

Im never eating here again. Every time I get food here, the chicken seems like it was on the heater for a long time. I always ask for extra lettuce and never get it. They forgot the pickle a couple of times too. The taters are usually cold or barely all cooked. They always get my order wrong. I love Mary Browns, but not this place. Horrible experience every time. Im not sure if its just the night staff/weekend staff, but its always bad. Makes me wonder where all the other good reviews are from.

Slow had to wait so long for something that should have been ready for a Monday big mary special.

Bad service. Visited via drive thru and was immediately told to pull ahead. Waited 25 minutes before going into the store. This location consistently has waits over 20 minutes for simple orders. Staff don t care

Exceptional service. Truly stellar food. The cooks and cashier were simply amazing. My cashier Rafey, was so nice and understanding. Would 100% recommend.

We ordered two 3 piece meals both with gravy and 1 biscuit and 6 cinnamon biscuits. Spent $44.80. We drive 25 mins home just to find no gravy s and no biscuit. Tried calling twice with no answer. Attention to detail is disappointing!!

I went there today with my family but they made us wait more than 45 minutes for buffalo tenders meals my kids were hungry and they were crying so when i got my order it was missing knief, spoon and napkin did they stop giving them?? When my wife went to ask them I don t know if he is store manager he said you can t say that infront of other customers . Very bad customer service, staff was using their phone while preparing my order, poor hygiene, not coming back again. If I can I will give them no star at all.

Worst experience ever. Waited 30 minutes watching others get full feast meals waiting on 2 simple kids meals. The sandwiches I ordered with them were ready and rather than bag them, they did not leave them under a heat lamp or anything but put them in their front counter area. For 10 minutes they sat on the counter where pens were rolling around and people moving everywhere. When I asked to have them replaced because they had been sitting out under NO heat source the manager made it seem like I was the issue. 30 minutes and the food was horrible and the service worse. Do not recommend this poorly staffed and under prepared restaurant. If driving to cottage country there are many other great options in these plazas where managers will own their slow service and apologize in hopes of making up for what was clearly their errors. Health inspectors I question if this establishment has adequate sources of heat to be serving poultry that is sitting out for pick ups or prep. I did not see a single heated area for food that was ready.

Its Mary Browns, of course the food is going to be good! But also its a nice clean bright place to grab a quick bite. And the staff is always exceptionally friendly! Always enjoy stopping in here

I have never given a review 5/5 stars but I have been ordering from the mary browns in Fergus since it opened.. The quality is always as it should be and better.. Overly nice staff who always handle orders quickly and efficiently.. atmosphere is always clean and tidy and new. I have not had a single bad experience with this location and order regularly..

Never had a bad experience with Mary Browns, but at this location, Ammar and his team went above and beyond for our catering order. Not only were they punctual and courteous, but the food was fresh and crisp. These people have made our experience seamless and place was extremely clean. The last two times we got the chicken tenders the batter was falling off. The wedges dont taste salty enough, almost like it doesnt have enough seasoning.

Wow what wonderful service the staff is nice and pleasant. I am one of those people that always has a special order yah I am a little fussy. (Hate people like me) but the got my order right and didnt give me attitude about it. Even the owner came by and ask how our meal was. You do not find customer service like that anywhere. I ate here today and my burger had too much sauce on it so it was too spicy for me and he made a new one with less sauce. So kind of them!

Food was good, just was in the drive through for a while because after waiting quite a while, they gave me my order but was missing a original sandwich so I had to wait even longer... which was a bit annoying is all. Only reason this isnt a 5

This was my very first Mary Browns experience, and while they were quite busy at the drive through the staff at the counter was incredibly friendly and welcoming while balancing taking and building orders for both inside and drive through orders. I was impressed with the food, which is fantastic for a fast food, but more impressed with the staff. This type of experience in these types of businesses have really been few and far between lately so I will absolutely be back!

Friendly and fast

Was just here over the weekend and believe me when I say me or my family will never be back ... walked in the door acknowledged the gentleman as soon as I walked through the doors he looked at me and didnt even respond ... had a unpleasant look on his face and a cocky ignorant strut ... walked around with his chest high like he was at the local gym ... I continued to be polite against my better judgment ... I approached the register and attempted to place an order but his ignorance and Unprofessional demeanor made me feel very uncomfortable. I asked him for a chicken sandwich and I politely asked him if he wouldnt mind dropping it fresh I had no problem waiting for it ... the place had 2 people sitting who already received there food it definitely wasnt busy ... he shook his head at me after rolling his eyes and ignorantly replied NO ... I said excuse me in disbelief and he said the chicken was fresh he just fried them at 5 pm it was almost 10pm feel free to watch the camera I will post the pictures and the time for the owners who may not believe this ... I then said I dont think its 2 much to ask and he again shook his head and made me feel pressured and ridiculous in the process a couple walks in and places a order I step aside and then he says rudely after I ask again ok I will drop it fresh ... I then place the order and pay a few minutes goes by and I notice he hasnt said anything to the cook in the back so I more then politely remind him to please let the cook know that I will wait for a fresh one and he gives me the look of death clearly didnt like me for some reason and I am very aware that racism is alive and well ... then he proceeds to tell me NO I am not making it fresh after already saying yes and taking my money ... I stood there for a second and I decided I didnt want this person to have anything to do with making my food ... so I asked for a refund and his ignorance and lack of professionalism shined again he said wait and walked off to the drive through window refusing my refund I then said listen give me my money back I dont like your attitude or your lack of customer service skills and once again he stood there grinding his teeth ... at what point in life do you have to go through this at a fast food restaurant ... Ive heard of angry customers but a angry ignorant order taker ... more then ridiculous and Unprofessional and I will take the time tomorrow to let the management and the head office know my experience and I would love to know why you have trash like this representing your business ... I live in town and my whole family and friends do to so trust me when. I say you didnt loose one customer you lost dozens . Period ... its that simple and where do you find this kinda staff ... clueless fresh of the stupid tree ... and honestly its disgusting that we have to go through this as customers and long time locals ... management I will be posting the pictures and the experience on social media this needs to stop ! ! ! We are the people who spend out hard earned money and we shouldnt have to be treated like this as customers . Train you employees to have manners and respect and teach them the right way ... hows that for a start ..

Unbelievably worst experience. The girl named Ritika was so irritating and she messed up our order. Always check your food before you leave. They gave me incomplete orders many times. Would give 0 stars if I can.

My whole order of food went on the ground thanks to your lack of ability to make a paper bag. Half my order is now in the garbage and now i get to eat chicken that took a nice bath in dirt. I will never eat from here again

I really enjoy Mary Browns this experience was extremely disappointing. Staff seemed pleasant however the food was definitely not up to standard. My favourite thing about MB is their freshness and this day the chicken was cold and the bun hard and appeared stale ..... so disappointing! Definitely not up to their normal standards

Ive been to the Fergus store 3 times in the last 2 months. My first time there I ordered a 3 piece chicken with no wing an with taters. I reside in Guelph Ontario. When I arrived home I opened the box and my order didnt have ant taters in it this ticked me off as it would anyone. My second time there I told them of my last order with no taters. They were kind enough to give me double the taters this time. I was content with that. On Sunday may 29 I was in Fergus again went to mary browns and ordered 3 piece chicken with no wing with Taters. Again when I arrived home in Guelph I discovered there were 3 pieces of chicken without any taters again. If you go to this store double check they fulfilled your order, as for me Im never going there again. This place is a rip-off

Absolutely the most terrible Mary Browns Ive been to. After double checking our order they still packed all the wrong pops and sides and dips. Then when I brought this to their attention. They just blamed it on each other. Oh. 4 people in the drive thru and a 25 MIN wait!.

Undercooked and under-seasoned wedges, but a tasty sandwich. Hopefully things are a little better next time.

Welcome Mary Browns to Fergus Taters are soooooo good. Service was fast even though they were busy for just opening. Chicken is good too.

Ordered nine pieces of chicken only, which with tax was over $30. When I arrived home I had 4 wings and 1 leg in the box. I tried calling and got an answering machine despite having a ton of staff and management when I was there. I love Mary Browns,but this is ridiculous. And no one to answer a phone??

Very poor tasting food. Whole family felt sick from eating. As a new business to Fergus I tried to call and inform manager of my terrible experience. No calls were returned.

Ordered my food waited for 25mins just to find out someone took my order and all they gave me was a small banana pudding for waiting another 25mins never coming here again thanks for time wasted

Very bad expiernce, service was good and everyone was nice but the chicken is just hyped up. The chicken had so much salt in it and tasted terriable same thing with taters just coated in salt. Honestly the KFC in town is 10 times better. Will not be going back.

Wonderful service, and a clean and modern place. We had the Original and Spicy Big Mary sandwiches and both were excellent! The potato wedges were perfectly cooked and nicely breaded, and the deep-fried pickle chips were amazing! The chicken was crispy and juicy! Everything needed a bit of salt, but we like salty and thats what salt packets are for. Well be back for sure!

I was excited to see this open up in town but my Big Mary was three small pieces of chicken instead of one big one. It seemed like half the chicken I usually get at other locations. Kind of disappointing. Tater poutine was good though.

I love Mary Browns but this one is not my favorite...it seems the wedges are not wedge shaped and maybe they forgot the salt when I went cause everything was kinda lacking... Gravy is not usually needing salt added lol

I have but one complaint, and that was that my spicy chicken sandwich was almost inedible. I guess the spice shaker got away on the prep cook and I had this one area that was oversaturated with spice that I chocked on for a couple minutes. Other than that...the food and service was fabulous and courteous. It has been a long time since I have had Mary Browns but somehow those wedges have become more addictive than what they were before. Though my sandwich was a bit of a letdown, I now know to play it safe and just bask in the greatness of what is Mary browns. Had I ordered a regular sandwich I am pretty sure I would have had to somehow pencil in and extra star.

For a new store I think they are doing excellent. Staff very friendly, food is delicious. I see people complaining it takes to long, those folks should go to a fast food restaurant then and buy food that is kept warm under the lights. Mary Browns prepares it well you wait. We love it. Cant wait to go back.

Disappointed. Some of the wedges are so big it s like putting a whole potato in your mouth. Found the chicken fatty as well (but not greasy if that makes sense). Three piece dinner with gravy $18 bucks. KFC still a winner imo.
