The Golden Coconut is one of our new local favourites! We tried the Pad Thai for the first time over the weekend and it did not disappoint. It was flavourful, and full of healthy, fresh additions like green beans, mushrooms and sprouts. Portion sizes were great as well; we even had some leftovers to take to work the next day. My husband and I both loved it. I was especially impressed that they are vegan friendly as well and open to customizing to the diners specifications. Top that all off with friendly, efficient service...this place is a gem!

I had the large tom-kha chicken soup, and my partner had the small tom-kha shrimp soup. The broth was delicious, and we were both surprised at the texture of the vegetables (mushroom, bamboo, egg plant, tomato), which appeared to be fresh and not mushy at all. My soup had plenty of chicken. Service was friendly and our soup came quickly. I hope to come back to try more items on the menu. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu Wheelchair accessibility: Level access to the interior of the restaurant from the sidewalk.

I dont trust other Pho places other my usual in my hometown since itd usually be a let down. But this place is great :)! Food is great and the service is very friendly and prompt! Definitely a place Ill come back to

Great pho and noodles

The spring rolls are usually awesome. I LOVE the chicken pad Thai but my mother can t eat it because it usually makes her sick, while pad Thai from the other Thai restaurant in Fergus does not.

This is our go-to restaurant for delicious Asian inspired dishes! Everything is freshly prepared, and most ingredients are locally grown/purchased. Their customer service is second to none!! They are always smiling and ready to please. Try it. You wont be disappointed! Vegetarian options: Many delicious vegetarian items can be found in their menu. Dietary restrictions: Many Gluten-free choices are also available!!

Cute ma n pa style shop The food is is absolutely amazing Previous Thai meals Ive tried elsewhere in the past had made me grow to dislike. A coworker had ordered in for lunch and the aromas filled up the whole office, it was amazing, I had to order in for dinner on the way home and was very happy I did ! Hubby and I found a new favorite spot and my picky toddler loved it aswell Good plentiful portions and great prices even with this economy!

First timer! This place is very, very good. Red curry with tofu, drunken noodle with beef and spicy basil fried rice with beef. Everything was super delicious.. Im not sure how the season the beef, but its so good! Food

WOW! Rare beef pho was delicious. Broth was strong and flavourful. Beef was so tender I wish there was more! We also tried the deep fried squid in spicy salt which was SO GOOD. It came with a small bowl of jasmine rice which hit the spot perfectly. The gentleman serving us was so pleasant too. Highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure.

Delicious Pad Thai, spring rolls, and rice paper & shrimp rolls! The Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was so good. The service is excellent (my friend and I had a two-hour lunch and they didnt rush us, which was lovely as we wanted to catch up). The lunch specials are very reasonable and generously portioned; we both took some home. A great little spot with pretty ceilings and a nice atmosphere. Ill be back for sure!

Wonderfully cooked, especially the chicken wings and calamari, theyre a favorite now among us. Staff are friendly and helpful even when its super busy. The music is not too loud, that we cant hear each other and its brightly lit. Its kid-friendly too, there are coloring sheets for kids and theres a nice bridge and library to take kids to as they wait a bit for the food. A nice spot for a quiet meal, generous proportions too. A great experience overall, and well definitely be back!

Just tried their food for the first time and it was amazing!!! Everything tastes so fresh with lots of flavors and the meat is good quality unlike many other Thai restaurants. The guys at my office really loved it too!

We drove 5 hours to Fergus to visit with family when we decided to stop in here for lunch and we were not disappointed! Not only was the server super friendly, our chicken Pad Thai was absolutely delicious, and the portion size perfect but we also found the restaurant comfortable and clean and the prices very reasonable. We also tried bubble tea for the first time...YUM! Very happy we stumbled upon this gem while driving around trying to decide on somewhere to have lunch and this will definitely be a go to whenever we are in town :)

Great food, friendly staff and the vibes is very natural. The setting feels very light, hard to explain. Natural light coming from the ceiling is a very nice touch! One of the best places to go in Fergus.

Terrible. Ordered large chicken satay at 14.95. Was so dry and tough it was inedible. Told the server, her reply I didn t make the food I could say more but you get the picture. First time in my life I did not leave a tip.

We LOVED the Pho. Definitely authentic! The service was excellent. Fair prices. Didn t love the Springs and was replace with Mango Coconut Sticky Rice (soooo gooood). I definitely would recommend this over any Pho place in the area!

Wide open space inside. Kid friendly, clean. Lots of room to sit and not a fussy atmosphere in any way. Food took a while to arrive, also different dishes for different people (so I got my dish and my partner had to wait quite a while). Green curry was fine. Came with a modest amount of rice and in a shallow plate. The kids liked the shrimp fried rice. They also have bubble tea which was nice.

Best house fried rice I have ever had. Such a simple dish but this was light, full of chicken and shrimp and absolutely delicious.

We were absolutely blown away by how delicious the food is, and the pricing is excellent for the portion sizes as well. If youre looking for some amazing cuisine I cant recommend them highly enough. You wont be disappointed!

Such a great restaurant in Fergus! I was feeling ill during a trip to Elora, and ended up trying this place out. I ordered the vegetarian pho and the vegetarian spring rolls. Both items were fresh, delicious and seasoned! In addition the customer service was fantastic.

Where should I even start. We decided to try it out after reading great reviews. Food from this restaurant wont get 1 start based on Toronto standard. Since this is located in a little town, I will give 2 stars. 1) Pad thai was super soggy, super sour, and super salty. Plus strong ketchup taste. Pad thai should use tamarin instead ketchup, and should never be soggy. Food taste awful. 2) curry. It is hard to mess up curry, but curry taste weird and looks weird. Even instant curry can from Supermarket tastes better 3) mung, i would say even thai island from food court taste better than this.. What a experience. Service is good, but food is the key.

We just moved to Elora and tried Golden Coconut for the first time. The food is so tasty and fresh and we will be sure to order again.

We split one chicken pad Thai and a small veggie spring rolls. There was enough food for both my husband and I with a small amount of leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Next time we will do the large spring rolls (4) so we have some for the next day and because they are so good! Excellent tasting food, served hot and fast, and just right amount of spice. Very reasonable price point considering two of us ate ($23.45 before tip). We did takeout as we had been on the road for a few hours and this was the comfort food we craved. Definitely will make this my go to place for Thai food in the future. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great location with lots of free parking in front of plaza.

We dined in tonight and we re very happy with our choice to try Golden Coconut! Employees are friendly, the space is well organized and pretty despite being a smaller space. The location is nice and close to downtown but also has lots of close parking, which is always a plus! We had the House Pad Thai, Red Curry Chicken, Meat Spring Rolls and Vegetarian Spring Rolls. The food was delicious! All of their food is very fresh, with complex flavours without being too heavy. We will definitely be back!

Green thai curry one of the best Ive ever had. Just one thing Id change is a little more sauce with the curry and more rice to go with the curry. But amazing job!!!

My kids and I love the Golden Coconut! They have declared it our favourite restuarant. Weve had the fresh spring rolls, and the deep fried tofu and its all been delicious. My kids love the mango milkshakes and I think the Vietnamese coffee is the best coffee Ive had in a long time. The staff and owners are all very helpful and friendly. Well definitely be back!

Good food. The boss Vanny chooses only the best ingredients for the dishes. You can taste the differences. Its very nice to have bubble tea during the summer. Only very few shops offer bubble tea in Fergus.

Excellent quality, and in my opinion the most authentic Thai and Vietnamese food in Fergus - youll smell it as soon as you walk in. Everything is prepared with a great attention to detail, and the family who operates the restaurant are lovely people - friendly, warm, and welcoming. If you are a fan of spice be sure to order your dish actually spicy and it wont disappoint. This is going to become a regular visit for our family.

The food is really good and the portions are big. The ingredients are clearly fresh. We love vietnamese food, especially like the stuff you can find in restaurants that have numbers in the name; if you love vietnamese food, you know the restaurants were talking about. Pho 99 Pho Me 99, etc. This is on par with those. Order by number here as any good authentic vietnamese restaurant should. The owners/cooks know their cuisine well. They have also employed a couple of nice high school students to serve and they too, do a really good job. This is definitely a new go-to place for us and were so pleased that they have come to town!

What a gem this place is!! We stopped in today for the Pad Thai lunch special - best Pad Thai weve ever had! Generous portion and excellent price. Friendly service in a very nice space, we will definitely be going back.

While I have only tried their authentic PadTai, I am very impressed with the quality....delicious! and most importantly, very consistent from one visit to the other. When ordering, you can expect a lengthy wait time but thats to be expected when looking for quality food...well worth the wait.
