Great blues band on the patio this afternoon. Service a bit slow, but they were very busy so thats understandable.

We were sat outside on the patio- literally the only ones there, maybe 2 tables sitting inside- and server seemed to have forgotten about us. Wings were good though.

It was a lively sunny day, so we sat in the beer garden at the back with a great view of the Peace Bridge and Buffalo. We quickly ordered cold drinks and food from a very welcoming server. The Poutine was excellent and very reasonably priced. I cant find a single thing that wasnt good so well be back every time we are nearby. Parking: We parked in the street, outside. Beware of the big parking lot opposite as its reserved for Peace bridge staff.

Our server was great ,our food, we had the brisket grilled cheese which was really good,but indoor bar customer service was terrible. The band was awesome. Great location, could be better if managed better.

Would not go back, food was overpriced and underwhelming, beer as it was from a can was to be expected . Looks like the place needs a handyman or renovation, lots of things falling apart. Needs a good cleaning !!

My daughter and I wandered in here for lunch during an aimless day trip around the Niagara Peninsula. Not really set up to be a family joint, but the hour was right and the staff were fantastic. My daughter was treated to a pink Sprite, and we enjoyed the view of the Niagara River flowing by and cars whizzing by on the interstate across the river. The establishment itself is located beside a nice garden maintained by the town. My daughter has tasted the finest poutines in Quebec City, and so was excited to see real cheese curds on hers (Poutine Monday!), but sadly they didnt squeak. To be fair, weve yet to find one in Ontario that did. Either way, the poutine was great. On the way out, the friendly lady behind the counter gave us directions to the nearest frog pond, and welcomed us to her little town. If we ever end up back in Fort Erie at the right hour, well be sure to visit this spot again.

Looking for a great little bar? Heres a gem on the river! Tina is a great owner and makes sure her guests are happy. The bartender,Paige, is the most amazing person! She knows and loves her customers, always greeting them with a winning smile and super personality! The summer patio is fantastic with the most amazing music. A huge shout-out to my favorite band, the Feverish Lemons who are regular performers at Southsides. Do not miss out on the experience at this bar!!!

My first time coming to Canada from the States and I really enjoyed this place. Good group of people just having a good time. The The food was good and the service was awesome. Next time I cross over Ill be sure to stop in.

A very beautiful view of the Niagara River. The food is bar food. There was a slight problem with my order, but the servers and management corrected it *2. Absolutely great service. Check out Kareoke in Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Giving a 5-star for all the other things besides the food. Great service at the bar by the bartender (female). Decent location and ambience. But terrible food - Ultra processed. Dont get the wings they are terrible. Besides the food, everything was great!

I gave 4 stars only for the great view. If I had to rate only the food it would be 2 stars. Could not taste the corned beef at all because there was some kind of sauce on it. Sorry, hope your food improves to match your view. Stopped here a second time, still only a 4 star review at best. The wings were great but the booth benches/furniture are falling apart. Probably would come back on the patio for the view.

Went in Saturday Night and found the woman with dark hair very rude and cold. The other woman working (blonde curly hair) was very nice, engaging and polite. Didn t stay long due to the dark haired woman s attitude and just left. They need to work on their guest services.

Been 3 times, first time it took an hour to get our appetizer. 2nd time I brought my girlfriends for lunch and the service was amazing and our food arrived within 25 minutes of ordering. So i convinced Alex to go again and told him that I m sure we wouldn t have to wait again. We ordered and a few minutes later two more tables showed up. The one table of two received there order within 20 minutes and a hour later the second table with a baby had to ask for there order and the waiter went inside to check and 5 minutes later there food came out. We had to ask if we were getting our food and he said it be ready in 10 minutes meanwhile a new table arrived and they we re already being served. I m very disappointed only because I know Alex won t ever want to go back and to be honest the atmosphere and food is great! They did pack it up for us and only charged us for the alcohol which Is why I gave them a 4 star. The place wasn t packed so there was no reason for the delay. I think the order wasn t put in. I ordered the foot long Dorito taco and a brisket grilled cheese with fries.

Nice cozy spot right on the lake.. there was a band playing making the atmosphere much more enjoyable.. little bit of a wait for the food though..

Ordered take out, wings, steak sub and poutine. The fries, wings and steak were all over cooked. The steak was so over seasoned that all you could taste was salt and seasoning. Absolutely awful. Definitely not worth close to $60. Not the first issue i have had with food from here, but it will definitely be the last.

We didnt like the reggae music. To us it didnt seem to suit the customers. Food and service were good.

Out for a ride with some friends. We stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat. (Sunday the 16th) They were a little under staffed, so the service was a bit slow. I had the beef nachos and a Buffalo chicken wrap. The warp was good, and the fries and the right amount of salt. However, the nachos were a little disappointing. There were only a few large ones, and the rest were the broken bits at the bottom of the bag. The lettuce was cut into large pieces and just thrown on top. On a good note, the drinks were cold when they showed up. I would recommend Southside just as long as they are not understaffed.

the patio is a lovely spot with view of the Niagara river. It was busy, saw one waitress only, so I was prepared to wait. Passed by me a few times, no acknowledgement that I was there. I found a spot at a table and did have a menu. Table dirty, but napkin dispenser on the table was helpful. No dry cider in stock, pity. Took the Greek wrap, was ok. The waitress seemed in over her head, walking empty handed past dirty tables, no apologies for the wait, I felt ignored. Asked for the bill and then had to wait again while she walked past me several times, empty handed. I stood up and still was ignored, by then I was ready to walk out, that would get a response for sure. Finally, I got the bill. My beef is with manager/owner, please, train your staff, give them the skills to do their job, a win win for everybody. I certainly won t go back to Southside.

Great view and the server we had was friendly. But the chicken we ordered taste so bad and old and the poutine gravy was very salty. Well i could just ignore these because the server apologized and removed it from our bill. But when we were about to pay we went inside the bar coz we were sitting at the patio i saw how stinky the kitchen was. I just couldnt believe my eyes that they were really cooking in that kind of kitchen. The floor was full of greasy cardboards the pots were almost black the walls the table were they prepare food is literally disgusting the place where they put the dishes was dusty black i almost vomit upon seeing that i tried saying this nicely to the manager but she was so indenial and it seemed that she was angry and wants me to go away eventhough i made sure to talk to her prvtly.

Food is good. They dont take covid seriously *at all* so I go here far less often than Id like. The owner replied to my review saying thats not true. I was there today. The waitress had her mask below her MOUTH, and the cook was wearing no face covering at all despite walking all through the restaurant.

Very nice owners and people working there. The fish and sweet potato fries were top notch.

Ordered takeout. Food was ok, but overpriced for quality. When I went to pick up, nobody was wearing masks except one other takeout customer picking up. That includes all staff, including food preparers and was before removal of mask requirements.

New staff. Absolutely terrible service. No manners. No idea of hospitality or food and beverage service.

Patio was half empty but service was very, very slow. When my $14.50 Buffalo chicken salad order arrived it was a comically small portion with stale croutons and missing bacon. Nice view but eat elsewhere!

Wonderful surprise. Stopped in as it looked interesting, the staff was amazing, friendly, the food was yummy! Fish and chips and cheese burger and chips. By all accounts the wings are the best-so will try those next. Unfortunately it was raining so missed out on being able to use the patio. Can t wait to get back when the sun is out. Had a really good local band playing.

Spent the day touring Fort Erie Ontario and decided to stop at this Restaurant Southsides. The backdrop drew us in as it sits on the water dividing the to . Quite a big patio to accommodate us. The waitresses (Carol & Sydney) were friendly and attentive. We ordered the homemade cheeseburger special. Was enough to fill us. I noticed the last review done of this place was of a person with only 2 reviews under their profile...Miesh P ... 1 of which was Wendys fast food in Port Colborne. OH LOOKS LIKE SHE HAS 4 REVIEWS NOW, Tisk tisk, please dont take her review or reflection of this place seriously as she must just feel the need to be a Miesh P (Karen). Guess SHE HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN BASH RESTAURANTS THAT ARENT TO HER STANDARDS. Sad how the plandemic has turned people sour.... This restaurant is welcoming with the owner stopping at tables to make sure your experience here is Amazing. Definitely will be back, next time we are in town.

The owners need to have smokers move further away from tables instead of smokers standing in front of tables choking patrons and blocking view. Waitresses were amazing. Lite beer Sol excellent as Im not a beer drinker but I enjoyed this drink. Colder would be better. Just kick the smokers to the curb.

We went to celebrate a friends birthday. Maybe we went at the wrong time but the drinks were watered down it seemed and the menu limited plus the server was all by herself. However I think we will give it another chance.

This my first Google review. This was the worst meal I have ever had! 20 minutes to get a menu, then another 35 minutes to get it. It took so long my beer got warm. This is not the fault of the serving group but of management. The people serving were doing everything they could to look after their customers. The The Greek hamburger/hotdog (a great idea) but extremely over cooked. The fish tacos where just just as bad. Its truly a shame as the live music and atmosphere was amazing.

Have been there a few times and thefood and service was very good. This week we stopped in and had beef nachos that was dry, almost without cheese, excess chips and basically lifeless. We have had this dish before and it was much better. We were very disappointed. We told our server who had a who cares attitude.

Stopped by southsides to grab a quick bite to eat on my way home, had the wings, brisket grilled cheese, and onion rings. Large selection of specialty drinks to choose from. Staff was on point and the service was quick and the food was amazing ! I have now been here a few times and can t wait to try more off the new menu !! Our server was Lori she was very attentive and a super nice lady! 10/10 recommend ! If you have not tried this place you are missing out !

Nice location, place could use a good scrub, pretty grungy- didnt feel comfortable eating here. Wifes fish tacos were decent, my buffalo chicken wrap was terrible. It was dry and had an insulting amount of chicken, maybe 1 very small chicken finger worth, all lettuce. Sons buffalo chicken mac n cheese was tasteless. Fries taste like they are fried in old oil. 1st and last visit, too bad because the location is great.

Keep in mind that Ive had several 5 star visits here, but not today. Tried to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner by the river, but was disrupted by Freedom Convoy members revving their motorcycles and pickups. Food is great here, but they should limit the amount of motorcycles parking 4 feet from the tables.

Great bar, good food, good people. Awesome service but make sure you treat them well! Theyre all angels and Bars are a dying aspect of modern life, especially if youre a long term local or just a serial narcissistic like myself... Sometimes they get swamped, but you cant really blame em too much since covid killed all the rest of the bars locally and Southsides is the only one with any fun or drive left. Southsides blows by sneaks, BigT and Chucks easily with its atmosphere and its food, amung other things. Like the staff that cares heavily from my experience at least. All that being said they have Karaoke on Tuesday inside and Saturday out on the patio! Sat depends on the weather of course. Any who Southsides is my first choice when it comes to where Im going to spend the rest of my night... And Ive never been shafted from a good night. Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely not the most accessible for wheeled individuals, but I can garentee someone will be there to assist. I know thats not Ideal but thats small towns for yea.

A quick stop for a beer and fries. Beer was cold, and fries were wonderful (both regular and sweet potatoe). We ate outside in a patio style area under an umbrella. The food dishes that we saw go to other tables looked good and sizable. A popular spot.

We had a great dinner and beers. Fish and chips was lovely,and the chips made of real potatos . Onion rings also very tasty. Staff super friendly, and seem to love their job which is cool. If you read this,go on and give this place a try!!!

You know those small town gems that people talk about? We found one. If you want to relax on a summer patio and have a drink with your friends, partner, etc., this will be your new favourite spot! The chicken wings really are as good as people say. We will keep coming back whenever we want wings and tequila. I would highly recommend!

The food is good, the prices are good and the view is fantastic. One thing that falls short is the service. We have been 5 times in the last couple of months and every time we seem to be forgotten about. After the food and first drinks are brought out the servers disappear. I hope this improves because this is one of our favourite places on the water.
