The North End Diner in Fort Erie

An old place that needs to be closed and renovated. The food and service were good, but compared to the price and where you eat, it looks terrible.

The best breakfast spot in all of Fort Erie! Been going here for years and its always good. Zed and his staff are friendly and the food is always good

Ketchup was rancid, coffee tasted burnt. Pancakes tasted like onion (the grill obviously wasnt cleaned). Got charged for water (tap) and overall the food was bland and expensive for what it was. Its disappointing because we used to come here all the time.

Ate here last week. The service is great and the lady working there was so nice to us. The place is cash only but they allow e-transfer as well in case you dont have cash. Prices are pretty standard for breakfast places, around $15-$20 per dish. Pancakes and omelette was delicious, but the home fries were a bit cold. I think if I asked for a replacement they definitely would have given it but I was in a rush. Overall, place has a great vibe and I would go again if ever in Fort Erie!

All i wanted was takeout...no debit/credit machine and the food was mid beyond belief, called me a thief too because I didnt bring cash, what a joke, its 2023 either get a debit/credit machine or learn to deal with payment issues because of your own fault. To the staff, PLEASE let people know it is cash only, not everyone wants to pay a fee for your ATM machine in 2023.

Veggie omelets with fluffy pancakes!

A friend and I were looking for a nice place for breakfast after spending the night in Fort Erie. We were very happy with the food and service we received at the North End Diner. The service was friendly and prompt. And the food was great. Ill be back the next time Im in town.

6 of us went had breakfast and lunch. All was fantastic. Great portions, tasty food and very very good service with a smile. Highly recommend Parking: Plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: We had an 8 month old with us. They were very kind about his mess.

On a walk through the neighbourhood came upon this restaurant, had breakfast. Service with a smile, great breakfast. I appreciate it when the staff checks back with me, how is the food, do you want more coffee? When I was ready to leave it started to rain, no umbrella, the staff noticed and poured me another coffee, told me to sit back and relax and wait until the shower ended. Very thoughtful. f course I will return to this restaurant.

I stoped into this dinner for Breakfast one morning by myself. The breakfast I had was well made and served quickly. I remember really liking the bacon. Try it. It s worth visit.

Quality food, Crispy bacon, fair pricing. Would personally like to see the milk/creamer bowls on ice in warmer seasons or kept refrigerated until needed, maybe was just an off day/time when we went - very humid/hot day.

I ordered food and was told that they only take cash. I asked the owner who states that they cant have debit due to Cogeco. I have been going to that diner for 25 years and all the other local businesses have debit. I hate being lied to and will not go back.

The eggs were greasy couldnt even eat them. Homefries cooked in garlic butter terrible terrible. Been to greasy spoons but this was too much food was disgusting couldnt eat it.

Food was good, no complaints there. My complaint is with the bank machine they have in their establishment. They do not take visa or debit, only cash (really no sign in door as you enter that this is the case by the way). When I used the machine to take out $80, there was a technical error and the machine crashed, dispensing only $40, BUT my bank took out 80, so I am out $40. I am not too happy about that obviously, so my advice is to NOT USE THEIR BANK MACHINE if you do not have cash, and use the RBC or BMO down the road first to save yourself a lot of hassles. Like I said food was good, service was good.

Yummy food, nice waitress. I cant give the place 5 stars because we literally waited over 45 min for our food, and its cash only! No signage on the door, nor did the waitress let us know. Luckily we had some cash on us, but the ATM wasnt working ( I shouldnt have to pay a fee regardless). Hopefully they improve these issues.

Place was empty ordered banquet burger fries and gravy, half hour later my order comes no gravy,no drink and no cheese or bacon. Sent it back 5 minutes later looked it over one piece of bacon 2 small slices of pickle and mayo looked like they put it on the bun with a toothpick.Never ever going back.

We had breakfast last weekend and the food was DELICIOUS! With a homemade taste, the potatoes were crispy and soft with onions, really yummy. It is a local restaurant that you need to visit whenever you are in Fort Erie

First breakfast out since before COVID and they didnt disappoint. A bit dive-y but great food and friendly staff more than make up for it. Well be back!

First time by. The whole group made us feel like family. Happy environment. Good breakfast. Bonus birthday cake from a cake they gave one of their regulars. Enjoyable! Real!!

Not overly impressed. I ordered breakfast to go. Came to $18.00 for 2 eggs, toast, hashbrowns, bacon and sausage. Everything was slightly undercooked. And annoyed at there atm..why dont you do debit its 2022 now guys! Seamed like the cooks just wanted to push out food rather then make sure the quality is up to par. I probably will not go back.

Good spot for breakfast

The food tasted great, there was plenty of it, and the service was excellent.

Seating is a bit tight, but the cooks know what theyre doing! Someone else at our table asked for a customized omelet (due to food allergies) and their needs were not only met, but exceeded. This is now our new go-to place for breakfast any time of day!

This place is amazing went there couple of days ago and grabbed breakfast. I had the Greek Omlette and a coffee, everyone was perfect. I have been to many dine ins before but have to say this place is great. Especially the staff and the chef Thank you Sarha amazing

Honestly .I m beyond disappointed. I just spent $80 at this place (tip included) and I really truly feel like I deserve some sort of refund or compensation for how horrible my food was. Literally NO flavour or seasonings used AT ALL!!! Extremely bland. Half of my food is still sitting on my counter. Should ve just bought groceries for my family instead :(

The Diner had a nice neighborhood feel. We ordered eggs Benny which also came with home fries and we asked to have onions and two waters. The bill was over $35. The eggs were cooked perfectly but the hollandaise sauce seemed to have been watered down so it was lacking flavour. The peameal was cooked nicely but only one slice for such a steep price.

Took my family here as we were visiting some family in Fort Erie. A friend recommended we get breakfast here. MAN OH MAN was she right about this place! Its absolutely FANTASTIC! Great service and the food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be making another drive back from Oakville for another Western Omelette breakfast!!! Highly recommended!

One of my worst restaurant going experiences ever, most of the food was bad, the service was poor and the experience as a whole was worst. (Food) I ordered the 6oz steak and 2 eggs, came with home fries and toast. My eggs were okay but a little mushy, my steak was delicious, though I did ask for well done but got a little blood in my steak. My home fries were gross, they tasted like the inside of a freezer and were under cooked (I never finished them), and my toast was perfectly toasted. (The experience) This was my first time at this establishment and I was meeting up with a friend to catch up. We walk in, the waitress shows us to our seats, I then ask where the washroom was. After I finished in the washroom I sat down with my friend and ordered our food. Shortly after we ordered our food an officer showed up to do an inspection because he has gotten reports. The officer comes in, talks with the waitress and a guy who im assuming is either the cook, the owner or both. The officer then came over and asked us if we were told to sign in, though my friend was a regular and knew to sign in after we were seated, I didnt know and was never asked so my answer was No, I was never told to sign in. The man the officer was talking to earlier then blames my friend for not telling me to sign in by saying See what happens when you dont tell your friend to sign in. Which bothered me since its not my friends responsibility to do their jobs, it is the waitress job to not only seat us but to have us sign the paper. Shortly after the officer left. After about 20 minutes my friend and I were finished eating and ready to pay, we asked to pay separately, apparently this was a problem since the waitress wrote both of our orders on the same receipt and for some reason was unable to give us separate receipts. My friends food came to $13 and some change and my food came to $16 and some change. Due to the place only accepting cash My friend paid with a $20 bill and I asked if they had change for a $50 bill. The waitress seemed annoyed but then said yeah in the register. The waitress then came back with $20 in bills and change for my friend, told her to then give me the amount it cost for my food and then i told me to pay with the $50. I was confused since this wasnt how every other restaurant handles payment, I also thought they wanted to give the $50 without them giving me the remainder. The waitress then told my friend to explain it the me, which was insulting, since Im fairly good at math but was confused at why we were paying like this, since technically my friend paid for my meal and I paid for hers. The waitress then leads me over to the registered (which I thought was broken due to the way the money was being handled), the waitress then tells me that she will give me $20 and the $16 and change my friend gave me would equal my total. She then hands me $10 in $5 bills and says heres your 10, have a good day which is where I brought up that she still owes me $10. She then gave me the $10 and my friend and I left. This entire outing was a mess, Im sort of convinced that they tried to rip us off and everyone was insulting and condescending. To top it all off im now home locked in my bathroom wondering if Im getting sick from the stress, if I got a bit of food poisoning or a combination of the two.

Ever since I have been going to this restaurant, with all the different owners and everything, the service has been great for the most part but I have to say, the most current owners are absolutely FANTASTIC. They have gone above and beyond for myself and my family. Being someone who has eaten at this place for years, I am absolutely amazed with how great these new owners have taken over. Kindness goes a long way, it even makes the food taste better than it already is.

Great food, friendly owners/staff, good prices. Just pull up and order food from takeout window. The menu is posted at the window. Food didn t take long at all. We took it to sit by the river and enjoy! Cash only at the moment. Thank you! Big improvement from the last owners!

I have ordered take out a few times, being I just work up the street. Every time I have ordered, it was a pleasant experience. Staff are wonderful and friendly and food was very good. Today I ordered breakfast for the first time and there was a little confusion with my order, and I only noticed after getting back to work. I called to ask about my breakfast and the lady working was very apologetic and wanted to make it right! I told her it was unnecessary and it was my fault how i ordered it. ( which it was) She went out of her way to call me back to try to make it right again!! :) I LOVE this!!! What a place. After owning my own restaurant years ago, I know how hard this industry is. I know how hard you work at what you do! But to go out of your way to please your customers.....speaks VOLUMES. Shows me you care about what you do. You will see me again :)

After waiting for 20 minutes to get an incorrect order and being told my order is ready then waiting more time to only get the wrong order again... Terrible absolutely terrible! New owners l, no thank you! Eggs over cooked, potatoes not cooked at all and bacon that looks like they took it from the fridge and put it in a to go container.... Never again

First time there, great food, coffee was never empty. May have to wait a while for your order but well worth the wait.

Waited 50 minutes for scrambled eggs and then got the wrong items, I got bacon which I can t eat and didn t ask for. We sat and watched other customers come in, eat and leave before us. Waitresses were nice but wait and quality are ridiculous for the price.

The waitress we had was super nice. Waited an hour for eggs, toast and potatoes. People who came after us with a similar order got their food before us. Food was good though overpriced.

Huge portions, home cooked meals, we had the hat trick breakfast, huge, fluffy blueberry pancakes, chicken souvlakia breakfast, pea meal bacon breakfast, and a corn beef on rye with fries and homemade gravy. A gem In Fort Erie.. One of favorite places to eat and great food and value. Authentic Greek dishes also.

The server was very friendly. My companion was a vegan and they did not have any vegan dishes, so the server helped her create something substituting meats and dairy for veg. The food was all excellent. I would highly recommend.
