A real Japanese restaurant run by Japanese
I almost feel bad for what I'm about to say, but I'm going to say it: The food was terrible. There were three of us who ate here and all of us were sick as a result. I could not eat most of what I ordered. If this was my first experience with sushi, I'd most likely never eat sushi again; thankfully, it wasn't. The atmosphere is basic and lacks the feeling of being a welcoming place. Our server was mechanical, not friendly but not rude. We will never eat here again.
Spider roll and tempura shrimp roll were very small not like most places that consider them a special roll. Disappointed with the portion size, tempura shrimp was good as an appetizer along with the shrimp spring rolls also were tasty. This will probably not be a place I revisit.
I got the all you can eat lite that came out to be around $26 Everything was fresh and tasted good without a long wait time. I would highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.
Disappointing. Sushi is TINY. Small amount of filling and barely even any rice. Could at least beef them up a bit with some rice so they don't look so pitiful. Sliced very thin as well. Absolutely not worth it.
Fresh food, great taste, and friendly staff. Multiple dining options to suit your taste and budget. Always a great experience. Beware of the packaged wasabi!
I am glad that I can still find an authentic Japanese restaurant in Fort Erie. We've been ordered takeout from them a long time ago, and this is actually our first time dining in. They offer a la carte or all you can eat. Price is reasonable and the menu has a lot of varieties. Everything we ordered is fresh. We had a great dine in experience :)
The food is always fresh and tastes great. The prices are amazing! I love that the portions allow you to try several items and not eat too much. Alcoholic Drinks are limited to only beer and wine. Atmosphere is simple but cozy.
It’s unfortunate this is the only sushi place in Fort Erie. I wish it was better but I definitely won’t order from here again. You truly get what you paid for, the $13.50 take out deal is nice but the sushi isn’t even the best quality. I’d rather make the drive to Niagara Falls and order from East or Wind. The sushi pieces were the size of my small thumb, which makes sense for the $13.50 deal. The worst part was the soy sauce, that was so extremely salty I literally could not eat the sushi with the soy sauce at all, even a little dip.
The food is always super delicious and I ve never been disappointed with their customer service as everyone working there has always been super sweet to me. I d rate it a 6/5 stars if I could
One the the best sushi places for quality sushi. The place isnt fancy but price and food quality far exceed expectations
Love eating here. Super fresh ingredients and great staff. Vegetarian options: veggie rolls and amazing salad ( Salmon Salad is the best ) Dietary restrictions: can accommodate gluten, nut free Parking: tons of parking available Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids they eat half price and have training chopstick for them Wheelchair accessibility: no stairs should be no problems
Fantastic Japanese restaurant. Lovely place. Tremendous food! Amazing service. The only thing that wasnt perfect was that the restrooms are in need of renovating. Either way, we will be back.
Amazing food and service far the best we have had worth the $$
My girlfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time this week and had to go back again the next day because it was so good. Wonderful service, the food is fresh and the price was super fair! We ate off the all you can eat lite menu and everything was incredible!
The service and the food was excellent! The food came out fast and tasted amazing! The pricing was also fair and would definitely recommend!
Lovely meal. We chose all you can eat lite and sampled 6 of their lite menu choices. It was tasty
based on the photos, i did not expect the sushi here to be as good as it is. gyoza delicious and pan fried authentically, sushi tastes great. love that the spicy tuna roll has Sriracha instead of Sriracha mayo!
Was very disappointed horrible customer service I went there with my husband and he wanted to order off the lite menu and I wanted to eat off the regular all you can eat menu the manager said that is not allowed and that we would have to sit at separate tables in order to eat there so we left and went to Lundys lane which is 15 minutes away and had amazing sushi for the same price and better atmosphere
Once a week, we enjoy our sushi from here, great prices and great staff, you will enjoy try it , you won t be disappointed If you re visiting or now living in Fort Erie and enjoy sushi, they are great people and great food. Look them up on FB , sometimes specials, but thats where their menu is. I personally use the pick 3 option. Enjoy.
Very good sushi!! So fresh, the workers are so nice. The Curry chicken is amazing, its a bit expensive but if you have enough money its definitely worth it! I would so come back again. They have very nice decorations in there, could be a bit cleaner though.
Great service great food. And calm place. Good value also.
I ordered dinner late about 20 minutes before closing and they still filled my order.most places wouldnt do that.i got 2 tempura dinners.they were so good.fresh and hot.they came with miso soup and salad.their salad dressing is so amazing .you can buy it now thats how popular it is.i got extra tempura veggies.i bought some Ramen noodles and the new barley tea from japan.everything was excellent.if you dine in or take out the service is always good.they are so friendly.the prices are good and reasonable for the amount of food you get.. Vegetarian options: Japanese food has lots of vegetables.there are many kinds of sushi that are just vegetables.of course they have salads.they are very accommodating to vegetarian diets. Parking: Always lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy to get in and out with walkers or wheelchairs.
I hadnt been there since they stopped the all you can eat a la carte service, but the food was delicious, fresh and prices were reasonable. Service was excellent as always.
Quick review:though theyre not well known throughout the town, they make great sushi and deserve the chance Long review: if you really want some sushi I highly suggest you get their food for takeout, the inside is a little dark but dont let that stop you from trying them out, the owners are lovely people and havent had any problems with them, give em a chance and show them some love .
Not good , prices went up and sushi is not fresh not worth it anymore
Delicious Sushi. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Theres a good amount of selection to choose from. Its small inside but it makes for an intimate dinner. Nl
Great tasting food with great service and a quiet atmosphere.
Prices are great and sushi tastes good.
Very good restaurant - good food, good service, fair prices, good quality. Would encourage anyone in the Fort Erie area and nearby to give this place a chance!
Always hot and fresh tasting! Lots of choices too!
Amazing hidden gem in fort erie, will definitely be back
By far, Yukiguni II is our favourite local place to go for a quick lunch or a nice quiet dinner. The food is amazing. The service is so nice. The prices are surprisingly low. Even the Studio Ghibli music playing in the background is so relaxing.
Good food.
Took my son for sushi while staying at Sherkston Shores and the sushi was fantastic! Traditional Japanese decor displayed in the small space. Super friendly hostess and the food was spectacular. Great prices for the quality! Food
Love it! Great food, amazing service, and good prices. Especially for sushi!
Very nice place good people drinking water very nice food is very nice good prices Parking: Very nice spot very clean you can park truck RV Wheelchair accessibility: Good
Small family style restaurant with good foods and nice services.
Best Japanese in Fort Erie!
Great food! Good value :)
Amazing service and food!!
Very good, service was fantastic. Some of the best sushi Ive had in a long time. Highly recommend this little gem!!
Some of the best sushi Ive had, the VeraCruz roll in particular was a stand out menu item. Everything was fresh and delicious. Rolls are light on the rice which is really nice. Love coming to smaller sushi restaurants like this, rather than all you can eat restaurants. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating when it comes to allergies.
Sushi is amazing. Worth the trek to fort Erie. Will be back
Id have to say very...very bad sushi...
There might not be the same amount of options as some other sushi places but what they do have is really good and reasonably priced!
This is my second time going here. The first time was 10 years ago and it was the first time I had Japanese. Since then, I have been to many sushi and Japanese restaurants and this one is by far the best I ve ever had. Highly recommended!
Easily one of the best take out sushi places in Niagara. Incredibly welcoming staff and I got 16 pieces of sushi and some spring rolls for under $15! Their crunchy spicy avocado roll was incredible. They even had this little area to grab whatever you like (wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, etc.)!
Very good sushi
We had a wonderful time. The server was lovely to talk to, the atmosphere was great, the food was delicious at a great price, and the plating was gorgeous! Thank you! We will definitely come back.
this place is amazing, such high quality food and it tastes delicious!
Decent sushi, we ordered takeout here every week until they told us to stop coming here. Not really anything else to say
Its 2021...get call waiting and pick up your phone!
Fresh Made Suishi, sashimi in the best Love the California Rolls. Will be back again next week
Only available Sushi on town. The sushi is very fresh and tasty, but they have had to cut costs, as such some of the fan favourites are no longer available.
Expensive, but so delicious. Loved it.
This woman that works there is the rudest person I EVER spoke with over the phone. DO NOT Call there to order she will hang up on you if you are unable to decide what you want fast enough. They also tell you they dont have anything listed even if its on the menu. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN!!!! EVER!!! They will probably spit in your food if you arent looking NEVER order from there EVER!
Best sushi in Fort Erie. Prices arent too bad and the food is always good. Only place in Fort Erie to really get sushi
Always great. Never disappoints
Love It !! Fresh Sushi, reasonably priced love the salmon sashimi. Will go again
They dont really do large radiator take out anymore. You still cant eat in. The sushi is about as good as it is from the grocery store but double the price.
Delicious.
Great traditional food, could use bigger portion and some renovation.
Always fresh and delicious. I dont do all you can eat. They also have a price fix menu with options of 3 or 4 items which are perfect for sharing. Great service and nice atmosphere as well.
Best fish I have had very nice good atmosphere
Had high hopes, but I wasnt impressed with their menu or sushi. Great waitress though! Food came out fast. Small menu (ONLY sushi on it, no rice or noodle dishes etc.). Sushi was falling apart as my husband & I were picking it up to eat...it was also bland and didnt have much salmon in it...tiny piece & mostly all rice. We wont be returning here...much prefer paying a higher price and going to Sushi Ai or Wind.
Great service and the food was excellant!
Authentic fresh and well priced
Great food and prices. Fresh and made quick. Theres no mango, strawberry rolls. Polite and friendly Male employee.
Why is this in Fort Erie? Id like to preface this with saying that I have traveled to Japan before. The owners are Japanese. The Chefs are trained in Japan. The ingredients are high quality and fresh. I can say with conviction that this is the best Sushi I have ever had in Canada. If you are a fan of real sushi and Japanese cuisine you will never visit another all you can eat place again. 1/5 Location 5/5 Taste Go out of your way to try this. ****Dont do all you can eat.
This is not the worst sushi Ive had ... but its up there. Tiny TINY portions, I wish I could make the text smaller for emphasis here. The sashimi was razor thin. The rolls were tiny and clearly made with scraps of salmon. The spicy salmon is no more than a shake or two of a red spice. The edamame was BARELY salted. And when I say barely, I mean a couple on top had salt. Even for the $13.50 price I paid for the make your own combo, it was maybe worth $5. And thats being extremely generous .... and mostly for the edamame. If youre going to go get sushi, drive to Niagara Falls for Wind or East. This was just sad. To all of you who rated it 4 stars.... seriously!??!? Thanks for the waste of time and money.
This is a high quality place for reasonable price. The staff is friendly. I highly recommend this place over most.
Told that it was over an hour for take out, but we could sit in the restaurant for quick service. Food came in 15 minutes but did not seem like fresh sushi. The waitress seemed anoid that we were splitting dishes. Just seemed to be stingy and weird service. Not very good food
One of the best around
Little pricey but very good
delicious food, great service.
We went for a friends birthday for dinner. Usually we go here for lunch only. There were 4 of us at the table. Two people expressed they wanted to order from the dinner menu while two others wanted to order all you can eat. The waitress informed us that the only way to get all you can eat is of everyone at table orders it. That is disappointing for the others who were budgeting ~$25 for dinner but were forced to spend almost $40 instead. Food was good but took 2 hours to get all our food (no we didnt order THAT much). Just a word of advice to anyone planning a dinner out.
Great owners very friendly. Fresh sushi made in in the open. I return often
Been going here consistently for 10 plus years. Always decent service and food. The sushi lunch bento box is pretty nice.
Good food
The atmosphere is great and staff seems friendly. The price is far too high for the quality and selection of the food offered. The mens bathroom was also very unacceptable. I wanted to love this place but I wont be back.
Love this place great food fabulous service
All you can eat sushi. All I can say is yummy.
Superb and wonderful.
Good service, nice quiet and comfy place, really good food. Love the decorations!
I found this on google search and went to try because it was so close to us. This nice little cozy place is in the plaza. There are many option on the menu, so much to choose. We ended up ordered the built our own combo of 5 items for $20 something. It s good enough for two of us. The service was quiet fast, server was great and food was tasty.
I love this place. Only discovered it about three weeks ago, Ive gone once a week since. Best sushi in Niagara, and its nestled in Fort Erie. Puts all the places in St. Catherines and Niagara Falls to shame. Seriously, this place is the real deal
Best place for tempura in the area. Light, flakey, and crispy.
GREAT SERVICE and Sushi
People are rude here
Staff is always friendly. Could use a few less deep fried choices.
A staple when I visit my parents. Friendly staff and prompt service.
28.99 for dinner. Too much rice on rolls. Im from GTA, can only give 2 stars at max.
Good fresh sushi
Awesome as always!
Nice staff.
I just paid $82 dollars plus tip. Me and my kids are still hungry. If you want sushi dont go here. First service is terribly slow. Second all you can eat is $28.99. But not everything is on that menu. When you finally get your sushi, it is full of rice but barely anything inside. The sushi is small and not wrapped tight. The sushi tastes like rice and nothing inside. Oh and dont expect to get anything else if you finish because they dont offer it. Very very unsatisfying. I will never go there again. Terrible experience. I wish I coyld get my money back. Now Im at home feeling ill and hungry at the same time.
Fantastic, fresh product. Great price. Great service. Thankyou!
Great service - and they have music!!!!
Total rip. All you can eat but anything not consumed they charge extra.
Great teriyaki and sushi. The rolls were not typical size or presentation but otherwise very good. Great waitress/hostess !! Very friendly and kind!
Delicious and fresh! Offers and all you can eat special that was great for the kids. Highly recommend this sushi restaurant.
AYCE is more expensive than some similar places I have been to but the variety and taste is somewhat better. It would be 5 if they didnt so strictly limit the amount of sashimi you can have.
Recently become overpriced for quality level.
they had more options than just Chinese or sushi, which was interesting. I enjoyed most of their sushi.
Favorite Fort Erie Restaurant!
The Sushi in 100% unbeatable from what I ve tried in the Niagara Region. The price could be lowered a little. For two people the price came to 77$ and change after tax,
Being from British Columbia I am very picky, but service was great and sushi was fresh and great size
My friend and I go here often and the food is great.
Very dirty inside and insanely overpriced. Didnt even hang around to order. The carpet in there is old and worn down.
Always the best sushi! Ive been coming here for years. I now live in Alberta but make sure I come for sushi every time Im in town!
The best!
Always great service and fresh food.
Love it here! Itabemono!
Fantastic, authentic sushi! Quality easily surpasses your average all-you-can-eat sushi place. The atmosphere is quiet and calm. Try the tuna sashimi.
I love this place...food is always great and the service is very good with polite and courteous staff ready to make your dining experience a great one :)
I gave it 1 star because the diet coke was good. The all you can eat menu is very very limited. We ordered Udon soup and it had way too much fish oil in it. Menu says artificial scallops. Artificial crab meat. We couldnt order mango rolls because they had no mangos! I got chicken on a skewer that was burned. The chicken and pork teriyaki was bad tasting. Lousy food that cost us $55.00. Never again and Id warn anyone not to go there.
Service was friendly, atmosphere was nice and price was great ($19.99pp for AYCE). The sushi rolls were a little disappointing. They barely had any filling, too much rice and fell apart very easily (rice was too sticky, I dont think it was rinsed properly prior to cooking). The sushimi was cut very poorly. The sushi nigri was nicely done though. I might come back again as it was rated very highly. We may have just gone at the wrong time (training new sushi chef??).
Salmon tastes like frozen salmon from the grocery store. Not much to pick from
Very friendly :)
Just different,& Intriguing.
Best Sushi in the area, in my opinion. I eat here at least once a month. Fair prices, quiet atmosphere and quick service. Great for take-out too.
Tasty
Nice atmosphere. Clean. Service is friendly but there is only one sever here and she has plenty of tables to keep her busy. The menu is limited, with not much to choose from. The soya sauce is so salty I could barely eat it. Not sure if its bottled or a recipe. Fair price, but not for the selection offered. I dont think Id give it a second chance.
Not a large selection and the food is just ok. Not great. Not terrible. Just ok.
It is a good place for sushi but very quiet...no music. I have only tried all you can eat menu. Prices are average for that kind of restaurant.
Great food at fair prices. Service good but could be faster. Decor definately in need of update, repair and clean.
This is by far our fav sushi spot the chef is top shelf and the staff very attentive to your every need
Love the food here, every time. Clean, themed setting. Hospitable hosts and servers. Best tempura going...!
Very quaint restaurant and fresh sushi ! Great place for lunch in Fort Erie
Great lunches. Best sushi in area. Waitstaff is welcoming and attentive. Our fave when in the area.
Good sushi and got all you can eat now Good bargain
Miso soup is amazing. Green salad is out of this world and their sashimi is amazing. Would come again!! Loved the orange dragon roll!!
Great food. Service a touch slow, but were werent in a rush. Orange Dragon roll was the highlight for us. Will be back again!
Delicious! We have been coming here since they opened in Fort Erie. The tempura is one of my favorites.
Very fast, clean and traditional atmosphere. The flavor was more subtle than at other sushi restaurants.
Great food and flavors The food was fresh and delightful
Great lunch specials. We came in on a whim and were very impressed! The exterior of the restaurant almost deterred us but it seems like a hidden treasure. We got seafood teriyaki and sashimi specials, they were both excellent and good portions. Great experience.
Have tried other Japanese restaurants I always end up back here
Hq sushi
Not good. Overpriced and skimpy
