Had a delightful London Fog and a very delicious eggs benedict, the Hollandaise sauce was perfect it wasnt too heavy but it was flavorful would definitely go back again

i think the 5 star reviews have to be paid off fr. went here with a friend and ordered the mac and cheese. it came off with bacon on it which we told the waitress we could not eat, she refused to send it back and instead told us to read the menu closer before we order. heres the thing the menu did not say that there was any meat in the mac and cheese, all it said was mac and cheese . the service deserves negative stars, and the food isn t that great for the high price. save your money and go literally anywhere else in town lol

Unfortunately i have to give this place a bad rating based on their minimal understanding of what a reuben sandwich is. It was the saddest reuben experience I have ever had. Maybe one or two thin strips of corned beef. The only reason anybody buys a reuben is because a reuben sandwich is known for being a sandwich with a big stack of corned beef But no. This was more like a couple slices of soggy bread with a tiny layer of corned beef. What is this? Whats the point? The sandwich was $21.00 !!! Please tell me why I am paying twenty one dollars for the saddest. Thinnest, most pathetic reuben I have ever experienced in my life? Seriously, I am offended. I will never go back to this place. I cant believe I got stiffed on the corned beef as if it was coming out of the cooks paycheck. No thanks

July 9/24 Fort McMurray, Alberta. We had the crab cake eggs Benny for breakfast. Great presentation and awesome tasting crabcakes and hollandaise sauce. Would definitely have this dish again!

I have been to this establishment 3 times now and had Marta as our server and I needed to do a shout out. Marta is incredible, warm, and efficient. Chi-miigwech Marta, I appreciate you and the effort you put into your job. Also, huge shout out to the local eatery! I just found you recently and I will definitely be coming to you for my Matcha Lattes and if I am bringing anyone out for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food, the staff and the atmosphere is fantastic and my daughter and I love the games. Highly recommend to anyone in or around the Fort McMurray area!

Had the cannelloni stuffed French toast, and it wasnt great lol not gona Lie lol it kinda looked like something my little nephew would have made and it was crazy sweet and was sandy like all the ingredients were made from powered to start with or something lol idk but wasnt good I also had potato wedges and a hot chocolate. The wedges were good but pretty hard to mess up lol the hot chocolate on the other hand kinda tasted like the milk was off or something idk we couldnt drink it it wasnt good but i had the Latte whitch was really good I think, with a decent design aswell it definitely saved the meal but I wouldnt go back unfortunately

Ordered over phone for pickup. Food was ready and piping hot. Delicious as well. Shout out to the one and only Busy Waitress who was Killing It.. taking orders over the phone, waiting on tables, running the debit machine taking payments.. I wish I had gotten her name .. Shout out to the Cook as well who was Man-ing the kitchen all on his lonesome as well. March 27th around 12:50 .. hope your employer recognizes and appreciates you both. Love grabbing a coffee and breakfast here. The staff are super friendly and it s a nice relaxed environment. Great for doing some paperwork when I m behind. I love the eggs Benedict though not a big fan of the pizza. Otherwise it s a perfect little place to enjoy a coffee with a friend, get some work done, or just relax.

We went in to grab food to go. Quick service and great customer service. While we waited there were games and such to look at and play, so time went quick. When we got the food and got home it was delicious. Definitely a place to take family when they come to visit. Kid-friendliness: Games and books for families as well as retro video games. A good mix of kid friendly and adult items on the menu.

We went here for dessert and for coffee. I loved that they have all the cakes on display so you can stare lots and make a decision before digging in. The cake slices were a nice large portion. We also got hot chocolate which came with whipped cream and was delicious, definitely went into a chocolate coma after having that and the triple chocolate cheesecake. The cheesecake was delectable, my date had the Oreo cheesecake which was also very tasty. I also enjoyed how there were boardgames to chose from and grab at your leisure. Service was okay, we took a while to decide on what we wanted so eventually we had to go up to the counter to order which was fine since it was not busy.

I had come here 2 years ago and the food and service was great. Today, neither were good. Service: had our drink order placed and did not get any refills or ask for a refill until after half our food was finished Food: beyond bad. Colleague ordered Steak Frites and I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap. After about 40 mins of waiting, a plate with well done steak comes out on some lettuce (he ordered it medium), with no utensils. We waited for a few mins - maybe the fries were coming out soon. Went to the till to ask the lady and she said the fries are coming. I suggested she take the steak back and make a new one as this is now cold however my colleague said its ok. Meanwhile, I can see my food sitting on the warming counter for 10-15 minutes. By the time I get my meal, the lettuce is soggy, the soup is lukewarm, and the wrap itself is just bad. They also just put a few slivers of chicken in the wrap. Overall, the food was gross. Wont be going back to this place. Nor would I recommend this to anyone with standards for food and service.

Kind staff but terrible table service, 2 people took my order but never really took my order. I ordered an orange juice then one person said there wasnt any while the other one said there was. There was so much miscommunication with the staff that I only got a water and I never got served any food. I waited there for over 40 minutes and they made me late for work for literally no reason. It felt like a huge waste a time on my part. I bet the food was great, I was watching others enjoy their meals while I waited for literally nothing, starving. Also I have hypoglycemia so I almost fainted at work because I was low blood sugar.

Ask for extra crispy sweet potato fries. They came burnt. My friend had open face turkey sandwich. Turkey was very dry. Were told they had no cream for coffee. Overall not a great experience

This is the third review I have given each time it has gotten worse. I originally gave this place a higher rating, but they havent been able to keep their standards. Their current iteration is the most disappointing, not even decent coffee. They have completely given up on their pastry program, and the renovations have made it dark and awkward. Too expensive. Definitely not worth it.

Servers do their own thing. We eaiting almost an hour for a our food, 20 minutes before they even came to take our order and we had to call them over . Not good service today!

We went here twice. The breakfast was the breakfast board. Eggs were poached but tasted like vinegar and cold. French toast tasted odd. Hot chocolate was good. Loved the whipped cream. Service...well they forgot the butter had to ask for it. They forgot the other peoples smoothie they ordered. Second tine we got the beef barley soup was cold and saturated with pepper couldnt eat it at all. Hot chocolate not served with whipped cream lije the first time hot chocolate all over sides of my cup. Server seemed frazzled and it wasnt busy. We will not go again.

My experience dining in at Avenue was awesome. Their Eggs Benedict will be my first breakfast pick. Eggs were poached perfect to my request served with generous amount of hollandaise sauce paired with fresh coffee. Variety of board games available to fill in time between service Loved the vibes and environment at cafe. Overall a must try cafe at YMM.

We went there one morning, I ordered the everything salad with seared tuna, there was no tuna in the salad. When I complained, they said its because there is no tuna available. So, they they gave me a smoked salmon that I didnt like. My salad doesnt have avocado coz the waitress said they do not have avocado available as well. Most sandwiches in the menu has avocado but because they do not have avocados, the options are limited. Very disappointing

Breakfast was really great. Ordered my eggs medium and they came out easy, kitchen had no problem taking it back and fixing the mistake which was awesome. I do miss their tiramisu in a cup that used to be there when the location first opened. Hopefully they can start ordering that again

Absolutely an amazing place, the staff is always super friendly and the food is delicious and made to order. Not only that but it is always fresh and prepared with care. Recommend for anyone looking for a new breakfast spot to relax and enjoy the morning hours.

Spontaneously went here with my wife for a coffee, and to our surprise they have a cute breakfast menu which had delicious food at a phenomenal price and very friendly service with a smile. We will be frequenting this place for sure. A year later, and the food still is excellent, fair and competitive prices, a SNES to keep the kids busy, many many board games there to ve played and an excellent dark brewed coffee. Another year later the pancake platter was big and filling for a fair price we enjoyed our meals and played cribbage with my inlaws. Still satisfied Delicious desserts and still such friendly employees!

Disappointing. Very expensive. No customer service. The coffees, lattes, etc., were 6-8 dollars for what was an 8-10 ounce cup. I had a single request of my waitress, that she bring me a packet of sugar for my latte. She couldnt be bothered even though the place was almost empty. By the time she did her service check, we were already 3/4 through our drinks. Also, everyone was unmasked at their tables, but nobody checked our vaccine passports, so for all I know we all just shared Omicron.

This place was terrible lol I had high hopes but was very disappointed. We got our food before our drinks (the food was cold & took 45 mins to get even) and when we did get our lattes they were made totally wrong (no expresso or milk substitute used) and literally tasted like watered down steamed milk , there was no chai to be found. Literally paid $60 for two cold eggs Bennys & two glasses of milk with cinnamon.

The service here is not good. Incredibly slow. The staff here slowly saunters around as if they are having a casual day off at home, and providing efficient service to customers is not a priority to them whatsoever. I waited over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by an employee, and it wasnt even busy. In total, it was 15 minutes before I got out of there with my simple small coffee with cream and sugar. There was nobody ahead of me in line, and a minimal number of tables with customers seated at them. I will definitely not be going back.

I was surprised to see a fifty cent charge for whole grain bread. The server gave us a choice but I wasnt aware of the extra cost. Not a big deal but a surprise. The food was excellent and our server was excellent as well. Cathy Budzynski

The lattes! Omg, the lattes! So freaking good! Whenever I come to this city I make sure to come here and order the hazelnut latte and eggs benny. The eggs benny sauce is beyond tasty and the bacon is good quality thick cut. You will not be disappointed coming to this place!

So far these eggs Benedict Cumberbatch that they have are tied for #1 in Town on the scale an easy 8.6/10, they toast the fresh muffin without drying it out th ham is very good the egg and sauce are very made and prepared. The hasbrown/home cut fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Love coming here to get work done, and a great place to have client meetings. The staff are always able to anticipate our needs. The food never disappoints. Coming on game nights is a lot of fun too!

The food is very delicious, I had the French toast breakfast, the sausage & bacon was done perfect, the potatoes look at first to be hard and over done but I ve never had a potato with a crunch and it also melts in your mouth very great aspect to the dish. It did take a while but it was made fresh, so the wait time is worth it! The chai latte it s very delicious. Price is fantastic for the quality of the food! Very good staff, for how busy it was one staff running the front and maybe 1-2 in the kitchen! I am very impressed and will be back for sure!

I was 1 of 2 customers. After I got my food and drink the waitress abandoned me for 20 mins to talk to the other customer in the back. Came back and brought me the debit machine. I was looking forward to getting another drink and dessert but felt my money would be better spent elsewhere. I feel sorry for the owner who is losing customers and revenue during these hard times for restaurants due to an incompetent waitress.

Pretty average experience. The cafe doesnt have any normal half and half or creamer, they just give you plastic mini creamers with the peel off lids that probably sit out for ages. The place used to be much better.

Had breakfast. The food was served barely luke warm, their sausages and bacon were better than Cora. Not once did the server ask me for a coffee refill, went right up to the table beside me, offered them and walked away. Thats ok though, because the coffee was terrible anyway.

Waited for 40 minutes for the food as it was busy and there was only one person in the kitchen. Finally had to take it to go as it was taking too much time. Also ordered gf bread for the sandwich and sweet potato fries and never got either of them. Need to improve accuracy of orders taken, prep time and customer service. Food was good.

My wife and I walked in and we re seated in what looked like a kiddy s corner, placed an order of 2 breakfast sandwiches, 45 minutes later still no sandwiches. Seen that a couple came in after us were finished eating! How long does it take to make breakfast sandwiches? Got up paid for the coffee and smoothie and left.

My husband and l went in with the intention of getting brunch were seated on our table for 10 minutes before someone came to ask for our order, l ordered an Americano coffee l was asked if l wanted sugar and milk with it and l replied on the affirmative. When l got the coffee there was no sugar and milk l had to wait another 7 minutes for that. The waitress took our order of sandwiches and we waited for exactly 45 minutes and there was no order coming, 2 couples came in after us, one got their order and ate it while we waited, the second couple got their order too but ours never came, that s when we decided to leave, we of course paid for our drinks. These people did not even care that we were leaving. I felt sorry for my husband who was very hungry but we were not at that time willing to be in there seeing other people eat while we watched. I do not recommend this cafe and l will never set foot in there again.

We visited Avenue Coffee today (Sunday Morning) with 4 couples, and 6 kids. The staff were extremely accommodating for our large group and very friendly - even in the chaos of having four 2 year olds with us. We ordered the breakfast boards and they were great and enough food for our 4 families. We will definitely be back - thank you !

For a modern cafe, they have a very limited selection of vegetarian/vegan options. They can expand their customer range if they catch up to modern cafes and variety of items one can find in cities such as Calagry, Banff or Edmonton.

Went here for brunch on a Monday. They had chili and chicken and waffles on their specials board. They were out of chili. The description for chicken and waffles was what else is there to say.. a lot.. a lot more to say, like the fact that the waffles are literally Eggos and the chicken is a thigh and drumstick combo thats maybe quickly grilled then baked. Not your typical chicken and waffles and should have definitely been mentioned when asked how they were. Waitress (blonde, wearing a Scarface t-shirt, smiled as thought she were Wednesday Adams and it hurt) didnt bother to advise my friend that they upcharge for rye bread when she asked for it. Steak and eggs...steak was overcooked. They didnt have wedges. Would have given it a 3 star, but the waitress had 0 care about our concerns, literally said noted and she seemed bothered when asked for a cup of coffee. $7 for a large chai tea that was literally a cup...money would have been better spent at Starbucks. Was not presented a bill, just a debit machine with the tip option present. Will definitely not be back nor recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointing. Dietary restrictions: When advised that my friend couldnt eat pork, they offered her bacon twice.

Amazing service, super cool people that work there. Absolutely top notch in every way - great flat white, and the breakfast I had at 2:30 am was delectable.

Terrible experience. The lady took our orders and then went to the back to take a break instead of making drinks. When she came out she went to adjust some signs hanging in the window, and someone from our party had to go over and ask if she could please make our drinks first before adjusting posters. Another table was waiting for their drinks with us as well and we were shocked how long it took. When we were finally served, the drinks were cold and not fully mixed, and we didn t even get our dessert. Will never be back here.

Staying at the hotel in the building for a week and was hoping this would be the place I d go for breakfast everyday. Unfortunately I had a pretty disappointing experience. I had a latte where the espresso seemed to be under-extracted as it was quite watery. Muffin was small, not very flavorful and $5. Staff seemed pretty indifferent.

Under new ownership and having growing pains. Hot chocolate ordered weeks apart, prepared completely different, one with milk and then only with water. Baked goods sitting in case too long. Hopefully it improves soon. I will try again in a few months.

I used to love coming to this place years ago, but since its reopened after the flooding it has completely changed and was disappointing. There was no menu or prices displayed anywhere - either on the walls or printed out anywhere. I ordered two small cappuccinos, and they were very bland. Mostly milk. And they were quite expensive. There was also very limited options for baked goods, nothing compared to what there was years ago. They also do not seem to care about the covid restrictions. One employee working in the kitchen had their mask hanging around their chin, and two other people in the back were not wearing masks at all. For a place that serves food this is concerning. Very sad to see how this place has declined. I used to love coming here! Hopefully it will improve.

We had breakfast here a couple days ago and it was excellent! The owner/ staff were all very nice and served us quickly. The atmosphere is much like the previous version of the establishment, relaxing and tasteful. The food was good, especially the chocolate chip pancakes and the portions were perfect for me. Will be making this a regular stop!

Really want to support and love this place as someone who has been anxiously awaiting for them to reopen since the flood and its in my neighborhood. Ive gone 4 times now and was disappointed. I can understand staffing affecting their service issues, hope that improves. But their coffee/tea game needs work to be considered a cafe. 4 various tea lattes that tasted like hot water and milk , teabags not being steeped for near enough time before adding milk (also tried various coffee choices and those were disappointing). Got a croissant that was super cold and rock hard. I really like the food menu here but service and drinks need more training and attention to detail.

Enjoyed the atmosphere as well as my espresso. Paid 3.25 for a single shot of espresso so quite a bit more than their competitors. Their ginger molasses cookies were amazing. Felt bad for the barista as she was the only one working when the place was at near capacity.

Ordered coffee along with 10 other people. Waited for 45 min and not a single drink was made. Then the worker decided that was the best time to fix posters at the entrance. Terrible service. The drinks we did end up receiving were extremely low quality. See picture

Its cool, its good, its hip, and multi-demographic; older, younger, babies, beautiful couples and people writing and working. There is a farmers market up the street that one can walk to on Saturdays and theres a bunch of places conveniently nearby. The coffee was very good. Hipster cafe in a hipster part of town. Very cool decor - slightly industrial with reclaimed wood.

Its a really nice looking place but is let down by severely inefficient service. We had an incredibly long wait for our order that arrived in bits and pieces. If you sit near to the espresso machine you will probably end up with other customers butts in your face while they wait for their drinks too.

The service here has really improved, The morning baristas are friendly and efficient. Avenue has a nice array of coffees and teas to enjoy. The prices are steep especially if you re grabbing a snack or lunch and they re not open until 8 on Sunday mornings which leaves a lot of its 6-7 patrons without coffee or breakfast while staying in the Ramada. Hotels should offer breakfast from 5-11am especially the Ramada but unfortunately Sundays are an opportunity for the competition to profit.

Just had some good coffee here. Nice attention to detail and friendly warm service. Hope management keeps their staff happy and the cup will taste as good as this next time too
