105 Thickwood Blvd #2, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 5E5, Canada
Family-owned Chinese restaurant running for 40+ years, previously located in Peter Pond Mall. Some fan favourites includes our chicken balls, ginger beef, and dry ribs. Dine-in, take-out available. We also do catering for events, just call us ahead of time.
Went there to eat fresh food. The server gave me and my wife, old ass food. After she served us she started putting fresh food from the kitchen in the ovens. Basically she had fresh food but I was not for us. We got the old nasty rice and non fresh food. Probably never eating there again . Plain ignorant.
We got the dinner for 4 and subbed the Chop Suey for beef and broccoli.. for an extra $2.. and then we got wonton soup. We got it for delivery and unfortunately the food is very bland. Service was choppy on the phone but overall nice. *Ginger beef was okay but had a weird after taste. *Beef and broccoli-beef is "soggy" and no flavor. Broccoli is hard. *Egg rolls are empty and no flavor and just came in a paper bag.. see picture. *Chow mein is disappointing and again bland. It's just the noodles.. *Chicken balls are bland and doey. The chicken fried rice is basically white rice with some chicken... it didnt look or taste like fried rice.. Won ton soup is lacking serious flavor, and veggies were hard. Everything had a bad after taste. Won't be trying it again. No fortune cookies which was a bummer. Overall the food wasn't good at all. We paid $77 for the dinner for 4 and about $8 dollars for the won ton soup roughly. I don't recommend this place.
We had the weirdest Chinese takeout ever. The chicken fried rice was incredibly bland and white - I don't think it had any soy sauce added at all! I've never had anything like it. I had to re-fry it myself when I got home to make it edible. The egg rolls were soggy and the wonton soup was super bland. Not impressed.
Some of the best food I've ever had, the chicken balls and ginger beef are my favourites!! The staff have been so kind every single time I've been there as my dad and I love to get food here. It's always super clean inside whenever we visit as well which is nice, I would recommend this place to everyone.
Worst food I’ve ever had in my life. After waiting an hour for delivery, and spending $85 for food, it was greasy, tasteless, bland and beyond ordinary. Chicken balls had uncooked dough and couldn’t even find the chicken. Eggrolls were so wet & soggy they were like a wet tissue. All the food was like it was cooked with a chicken bouillon cube only. Most unauthentic Asian cuisine I’ve ever had. Worst rice. Worst chow mein. Drenched in grease. First time trying it and our last. Don’t waste your money. You’re better off going to the mall & getting Chinese food.
We were referred to this place from a friend because apparently it is the best Chinese food in town. After the first bite, I unexpectedly had to spit out the food right away - you could taste that something was very off. I don't think I've ever had food that bad to not eat it. The meat was rock hard and VERY tough, and I did not proceed to finish my meal. No offense, but they should not be serving the "food" they have on their menu. The red sauce they used on their meat was a very low quality, I could almost guarantee it was AT LEAST day old food and it was not worth the $60 spent. To top it all off, the staff were not very welcoming and got really impatient with people ordering and paying. Unless they go through a major change, my family and I will never go back there again!
Tried making an order for delivery. Just wanted to make sure that two of their dishes I wanted had no meat products in it. She couldn't understand what I was asking. Then once she understood, she laughed at me with the cooks in the back over the phone. 1 minute of her not understanding what I'm saying then telling ME to hurry up and make my order because someone is waiting in line. They lost a 100 dollar order and a frequent customer because the staff laughed at us when we had a simple question. Order from somewhere where they care about the food they make and their customers.
By far my favorite Chinese food place in the city, it got me through one pregnancy and many late work days when you just want to grab a decent dinner. Everyone is always friendly whether getting food delivered or picked up.
Food was delicious ordered takeout. Lemon chicken and Ginger beef is a must! Food : 5/5
Terrible service and food. Dont go here. There are other options in town.
Such a pretty place and the workers were very helpful while we tried to figure out our order !
Best ginger beef
Employees are not very helpful. I asked what was left on the menu as I came half an hour before closing. They just pointed at the items and said this this this . Not very helpful when I can t eat pork
Best Chinese food in town!!!
Decent food find it better if u get made fresh to order rather then getting from buffet. However there are 2 ladies that work at front counter that have the worst customer service I have ever seen. Very rude and ignorant. If owner is wondering why business is slow he can thank these ladies.
Not worth the aggravation.
Not at all what I expected, but the food was ok, just not the selection I was expecting
Trying to support this business but our Christmas Eve dinner was not good. It has been good in the past. The vegetables were so slimy it was grouse. 3 of the members of our household were ill later and it put a damper on the night.
The best Chinese food I have had. Wish it was still located in Peter Pond mall. When I go to Mac I have to go pick up Chinese food from there. The sweet and sour ribs are the best..
Delicious! Perfect everytime!
Never a disappointment. Best place for Chinese in town
Great food, all employees are personable and friendly.
Horrendous service and food is disgusting
Filipino workers are rude and very cheap with the portions. And food is used from previous day. Stay away from this place
This is the only Chinese restaurant that we eat at. Such large portions and the best service. And so delicious.
Boy must be stressed about Christmas or something , was just there, very grumpy staff and not helpful at all ,. This is a surprise as I have had good luck there before.. make me think its time to try another place
Filipino staff were rude there. Dont plan on returning
Good food
Good selection of Chinese food ...
Love Chinese food.
I like to order from here! Good food!
This is our go to place for quick chinese food.
The interior of the store is drab with no pictures on the wall. The food is okay but nothing super. They do offer a quick takeout option.
Cold food , 0 taste or selection . 1/10 customer service. Hope you re hungry.
I ordered 3 items, was delivered in 15 mins from hang up and food was still really hot, good prices considering it is fort mcmurray
Good for quick food
Enjoyed our meal the other night. It was great
Sweet and sour pork is good
Its wonderful.foods great. They are patient. With dumb people like me.,?
HORRIBLE customer service. BUT, they have the best chinese food in Canada.
Refused to deliver to my address. Only 10 minutes from their business.
nope..want Chinese food? good luck in the mac...just my opinion super pricey... not just here but pretty much every Chinese restaurant in town. chicken balls that taste like fish and ginger beef my dog wouldnt even eat..no lie. unless your loaded...grab something else
Havent had anything bad here yet. Solid food but lacks that extra something to make it great. All in all a place a would gladly go to lunch.
Sometimes will and sometimes will not deliver to Abasand which is about 5 minutes away. Other than that ok.
Only Chinese food restraunt thats been running in Fort McMurray over 30 years and has the same taste since they were at Peter pond mall - deserves 5 stars for that
The food did not taste good
Rude service, food was cold and didnt taste good at all.
1st, I had better tasting vomit after a hang over than this place. ITS NOT FOOD!!! And what I dont get is why on earth people go back...2nd, its horribly cold and ITS NOT FOOD!!! 3rd, ITS NOT FOOD!!!
The ginger beef was hot and creamy like I like it. I felt so hot eating my oily noodles, It gave me such great sweet pleasure. The fortune cookies were very buttpooesque. Overall it was like eating a fine swiss cheese.
