Normally come here once a week as a lil treat for myself. Every thing Ive tried is 10/10.

Had the pulled pork bread was delicious pulled pork was decent. I will be going back to try the turkey sandwiches as I hear the are to die for.

Purchased two Chia Puddings to go. Upon opening the container, the smell was off. Upon first bite, it was clear that the pudding had gone bad as it tasted rancid. Was unable to return to the shop and advise the staff as I was on the road. Very disappointing as I have had many a chia pudding from the restaurant in the past with no issues. Frustrating as each chia pudding cost over $6.

disappointed. I ordered half a gluten free double cheese sandwich with extra ham. I was charged $2.88 for the extra ham. If as my picture shows this is double ham?? definitely not worth it. Without extra ham would have been 2 of the thinnest slices. Would you even taste the ham? Most likely not. I was charged full price for my loaf of bread that was 50% off. Thankfully I checked my receipt before I left. The cashier was kind enough to refund the 50%.

The sandwiches not your usual, they are fresh, inspired and absolutely delicious. The salads are really tasty as well.

Coworker told me I had to check this place out because it s the best - it s alright. It s definitely not the best in Fort McMurray, or Alberta as some reviews are suggesting. I found the menu limited, and the concept confusing. There is no indoor seating, limited outdoor seating, and limited sun coverage. For the price, I would have hoped for more eco-conscious, sustainable experience. They still use plastic straws & plastic wrap Quality of food - 3/5. Underwhelming. Too much mayo, burnt bacon, and homemade yellow bread.

I finally got to try this place today w/ my bf and Im really glad I did :) Hes been complaining that there was nowhere to get sandwiches after stacks closed down so I took him here and that auntie mae sandwich blew his mind. Vegetarian sandwich was delicious too!! I saw lots of gluten friendly, vegan & vegetarian options and the place was sooo cute!! Such a cozy environment and the employees were so sweet. Just an all around great experience. Millionaire shortbread was pretty good too!! Only negative thing about this place is the hours. I can almost never make it here with my schedule, but Im glad I could today!!

If you want cookie cutter, grease from a fryer, everything s the same type of fast- this isn t the place. If you want homemade, unique, and still quick service give this little hideaway cafe a stop. Their menu is eclectic. They take some old lunch favourites and make them into something with a twist. I had an egg salad. Tastes like moms. The portion size was massive! So happy I didn t get the soup. As soon as you walk in you smell homemade bread, goodies and the soups as well as coffee. I had a hibiscus raspberry lemonade. Was exceptional. Not too sweet and not too tart. It was raining so I had to eat at home but when weather is nice they have seating outside. That would be my only critique. Not a lot of room inside for many people and no choice to dine in if weather is bad. The young staff were polite, friendly and courteous. It was a pleasure speaking with them all.

Great place to get a coffee and treat. Thier sandwiches are the best with such great fresh ingredients.

I am very disappointed in their service. I have only gone 3 times since living in McMurray, two times they messed up my order and i left crying. I am celiac and pregnant. It is hard enough finding a place to eat let alone feeling soo embarrassed that it is a hassle. The staff stated one of the instances there is no normal bacon(stripped) instead of Canadian bacon. The other time I paid for two sandwiches because I asked what is the two sandwich gf and one of the gentleman called it a full and only recieved one. They talked to me like I was stupid when I questioned. I have worked for serving customers over 10 years and this was the worst experience. I will not be going back.

I love Mitchells. The smoked meat sandwich is awesome. They tend to have a nice soup as well. Staff is always friendly. Large selection of coffees and such.

Mitchell s is a local favorite, hidden jewel in Fort McMurray. The sandwiches are made fresh in fromt if you on the BEST bread. Deserts are to die for and a variety of home made soups and salads will feed any hungry guy or gal. Awesome staff, great prices and healthier than fast food !!

First time here, but everyone told me how good it was. I was very impressed, the sandwich I got (Montreal smoked meat) was so tasty! If you like horseradish you ll love it! Also, their drip coffee was surprisingly good as well.

Excellent restaurant in fort McMurray for freshly made sandwiches and soups. The bread is delicious and baked fresh with sandwiches made to order. The service is always great! Its definitely one of the top restaurants in town. The only downside is theyre not open later for dinner!

It was ok, not my preference I wish I could split the review so Ill do it here.... No indoor dining, which is a shame, the atmosphere was awesome, the staff were chill and had great vibes. The food isnt my style but for others with a more carefree palate would prob appreciate it more.

You wont find a better sandwich around. Or anything as good as the peanut butter brownies. 5/5 would recommend. Worth a special trip even.

Amazing of everything! From sandwiches, coffee and desserts- this place is a must in Fort Mcmurray. My favourites were the pesto chicken sandwich on Sunshine bread and the turkey cranberry chutney. Their breakfast sandwich is to die for too. You can also find good roasted coffee beans from Monogram (Calgary) to other good boutique brand. Definitively for coffee connaisseur, they have specialty coffee equipments. Their cookies and scones are amazing- freshly baked on the spot.

If youve never had Mitchells coffee, do you even live in Fort McMurray? And their sandwiches? Amazing. Yellow Bread. Need I say more?

Best sandwichs in town, good soup. Solid you can ever go wrong. Still probably true, updated 2021 Old pastry chef is gone. Had a strange experience with chefs yelling in the back after ordering an aunt may. I think they were running out of ingredients for it. It wasnt very good, kim is still a great clerk though.

The first time I had Mitchells was when they did my schools lunches like ten years ago when my mom had to take a break. It was the best food then and it still is now! Their milkshakes are amazing, the sandwiches made me love new ingredients Ive never had (the bison meatloaf one is my favourite I never thought Id like meatloaf and I had never had bison), the soups are so good! Its all homemade and has so much love put into it. If I ever move I would seriously fly back just to have some! <3

Food and drinks are super good. Service could be more helpful and attentive to customers. Remember to order your sandwiches before you pay otherwise you ll be waiting around for awhile.

Quality sandwiches and shakes

The only reason I am taking a star away from this cafe is its hours. I always want a coffee before 9am or after 4pm. As well its tiny and needs a bigger location. Otherwise absolutely amazing food, love the homemade aspect, homie feel and customer services.

Best place in town for a sandwich

Gluten free bread is tastless but its gluten free !! Thats the major selling point for anyone against wheat. Feb 5 2020. Please wash your hands before making sandwiches or use gloves. I am pretty grossed out at todays visit, the girl never washed her hands and when she did she scrubbed her hands wrong for foods( added soap and rinsed it off immediatley) placed a dirty rag next to the spot where she prepares a sandwich. Who does that. Does anyone in this town take food safe seriously! Why do I have to repeat my order 3 times. Sandwich only no soup. Is that a weak attempt at upselling me a soup.

Owners are amazing! Great service, the staff there are very nice and helpful and always Smiling .They are very generous too! Love their sandwiches and coffee! All made with love and passion. Thanks guys for being classy! We need more businesses like that in town!

This place is dope... Fresh made sandwiches are amazing... Quiche... Soups...I live on the Sunshine Coast BC and this is one of my favorite parts of coming to work. The best freakin regular latte Ive had in Canada. Just ate dinner there tonight and always regret not getting double of everything! You will not be disappointed!

The food is amazing, the best sandwich shop in town by far, the have endless selection of breads and smoked Keats, peppered meat, and a variety of cheeses and sauces. They have fresh daily soups and good selection of gourmet coffee and Tea. Theres seating outside with approximately 5 tables that 3 or 4 people could sit at and eat but if the weather is wet or cold you will have to take it home or to work with you because there is not indoor tables.

As always this place was wonderful! I had their special which was a raspberry balsamic short rib sandwich and let me tell you... Everything on their menu is always to die for. Their delicious and unique combinations always keep me coming back when I visit home.

Really nice, great vibe. I am not too much a fan of goat cheese, but the pizza we had we enjoyed! Service was quick and efficient. Staff was friendly.

When I lived in Fort McMurray, Mitchells was always hailed as one of the best local places in the city. Coming back years later, its nice to see that nothing has changed. Mitchells is downtown, in a side street off of the main street (Franklin Avenue). This cafe is in a old house, and has a cute patio for when the weather is good.

Fantastic sandwiches. Thick hand-made milkshakes. Incredible bread. And Cinnamon Bun Saturday is a definite must. The food is worth every penny, and the portions are large. The staff are kind and upbeat, and the atmosphere is cozy and fun.

I asked for a box of cinnamon buns. And it cost over $80. The cinnamon buns were average.

My sister in law had mentioned this place a while ago and finally we had the opportunity to visit and I must say they have great customer service we ordered tuna and egg salad sandwiches, soup, parfait, scones, lemon mirange cheesecake and latte. Their bread was so fresh and so good! Their soup of the day was cauliflower and gouda which was amazing. Overall, its a great cozy atmosphere with a homely feel to it. Has outdoor patio as well. I will definitely be visiting very soon!

There was a steady stream of people coming in for lunch for sandwiches. Had a chicken salad and the soup of the day. Both would impress in a much larger town with more options. In summer the patio would be nice to sit out on as well. A diamond in the rough for this town.We usually both get it and its never like that. Not impressed considering the price and how we were in pain while we ate. Also what kind of cafe doesnt have wifi?
