The nautical theme in the restaurant was pretty cool Dining in will score you some great service and great food Parking: I was able to park with a truck and trailer on a night where the restaurant was mostly full and I was one of the later arrivals. Honestly the food here was horrible and we paid 125$ for it (2 people), Very overpriced for something that s frozen I had the fish and fries with gravy, the gravy was chunky and just warm it wasn t even hot food, I somehow got charged for extra cheese for getting shredded no idea why, and the batter on the fish was just horrible (strange taste) there was no taste at all to the fish itself, the wings were good but 16$ for 8 insane, the crab was watered down barely any meat and very sicken couldn t even finish it and it had black spots all over it which from my experience with crab they shouldn t have the black spots, the potato was honestly the best thing they have that i ve tried there, Very overrated for reviews when I read the reviews I was honestly shocked because i didn t have that same experience for the first time trying this extremely disappointing. But overall wouldn t eat here again.

From out of town used to live in McMurray remember the Fish Place and how great it was when i lived here. Was told 6 months ago to try breakfast here and will say it did not disappoint. Portion sizes were huge, food was on point. Could of easily brought home half my meal but was so good I kept going til it was gone. Staff very friendly, quick and efficient. Thanks again when we are back in town will definitely be back. Keep up the great work.

Cute hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, food good. Sauces not from scratch. Some seafood previously frozen. Not a foodie place, but probably a comfort food place for some. They serve Fat Unicorn beer in bottles, from a local brewery (Plamondon). Very fun and chewy Amber. Great with the Halibut & chips.

Awesome food, clean with great service

Ate fish and chips (cod) today it was awesome! Went with the crispy instead of batter and it was just what I was looking for. Almost like a thin batter. Fries could have been a little crisper but they were home fries so Ill just ask for the fries to be cooked more next time. Tarter sauce and colslaw seemed to be homemade. Would defently go back for this dish alone.

This place was beyond incredible, I would eat here everyday for the rest of my life I could. The food is all homemade and full of outstanding flavor. That first bite just makes you keep pushing yourself for more and more. LARGE portions I couldnt finish and it was so hard to even think of leaving a bite behind.

The best place in town. Staff our extremely friendly. It always feel like a big family. The portion of food its very big, you wont regret to visit this place

We have eaten here a few times now, brunch and lunch, the service is awesome, the food is excellent and has a decent portion size. I would recommend the eggs Benedict for breakfast, it is the best I ve ever had! The fish and chips is also of a similar quality, you won t be disappointed. We will be back for more. Thank you!! Parking: Parking is right at the front of the establishment, and appears to be large enough to facilitate the amount of patrons.

Local Hotspot for down eastern breakfast and meals. Prices are reasonable with the generous amounts you get with a meal. Real bacon, not the paper thin fast food slivers. Decor is very Atlantic lending to a down home feel. Can get very busy for breakfast on weekends, but great staff keep everything moving.

Just dined it today to celebrate my sons birthday. We love all the foods. It was delicious and excellent service. They are all friendly especially the guy who served us.

Service was prompt. Selection was good. The packaging to take out was very efficient. However, we found the food very bland. Both the calamari and haddock were over cooked. Both had very little flavor. I was prompted to give a 15 to 27 percent tip on top of am already expensive meal for take out. Probably will not be back.

Service was good. The food was not. We were the only ones there as it was late. Food tasted alright but couldnt enjoy it because after eating the crab stuffed mushrooms (they tasted fishy and old) Both my gf and I got extremely sick to our stomachs, spent nearly 12 hours unable to leave the bathroom. gf had to miss work. I contacted the restraunt manager and they havent gotten back to me. mistakes happen so Im hoping someone will contact me to sort this out and Id be willing to update this review.

Got the steak and eggs for breakfast. I asked for the steak to be med rare. Steak came out blue. Waitress didnt even seem to care and even heard them make remarks that I ordered rare when she took it to the back. Mistakes happen which is fine but you should have given my money back on the steak. Wont be coming back here.

Locals told me that this was a must dine in Fort McMurray. I was impressed. I had the seafood platter. I normally turn my nose up at crab cakes, but I tried them this time and found them to be extremely tasty. Thanks for the recommendations.

Good steak & eggs

Been here twice. First time it was pretty good, second time it was fired in the trash! Ordered halibut and chips. Fish was dry and old very fishy tasting. Couldn t eat it absolutely disgusted and will not be back for a 3rd time. Shame on you for serving old product.

Prior to the fire in 2016 this place was awesome. After the fire I ve been to the restaurant maybe 4 times and each time I left extremely disappointed. The staff is very nice but the quality of the food is horrible. Sad, because the place is capable of much better.

Steamed mussels that were over cold that had to be sent back. 10oz striploin med rare that was raw and cold in the middle took it home warmed it in the microwave. Everything was cold . Took friends there wont be going back

Amazing food and super nice service. My boyfriend and I go for dates here a lot. Update: have been going here for a decade now and in the past couple years, weve been having monthly breakfasts there with coworkers. Always a good time!

We love the the fish at this place, we do not order the fries and extra but only want the fish and they refuse . The restaurant requires you to buy 1 or 2 piece and ask for extra fish . But food is great.

Hate to be negative... but it was not good. The menu was over priced, and honestly, the only thing that tasted good was the bacon wrapped scallops, everything else was not very tasty. My kids kept saying Why did you bring us here? My son who loves shrimp wouldnt eat their shrimp, and I love clams and clam chowder and I spat back out the only clam bite I tried it was so bad, and ate the clam chowder, but would have been better off with a can from the grocery store.

Our favourite place for breakfast. The eggs Benedict is the BEST! We are always welcomed in and treated friendly. The owners have poured their heart into this place for 25+ years and it shows!

Just some breakfast, eggs benedict was fast to come out

First time eating there in quite awhile. I was never impressed with anything from what I remember and that didnt change this time around either. The place looks outdated as it gets. This time we ordered, Calamari starter, I had fish and chips and the wife and son and the chicken finger dinner between them. The squid rings came out fairly quickly which was nice but they were very greasy and way too salty and I enjoy salt. Wife tries one and woudnt eat anymore.. The fish was ok. Not great but not bad. I could make better at home tho. The chicken fingers were horirbe and between the wife and I we came to the conclusion that they and to be old refried chicken fingers. And if it was it was just plain bad. The chicken didnt tear apart like normal chicken would. Literally had to rip it apart. The batter was hard and thick and tasted burnt. Was definitely not fresh in any sense. The French fries was actually pretty good. Left there and before we even got to the truck we both agreed that we would never go back there. With tip I spent around $90. Honestly, it wasnt worth 20 bucks tips included. I was wishing for much better as this was one of our first outings in a long time and was very disappointed. The whole experience at a restaurant was a let down.

Eggs Benedict was sub par, food comparable to Coras, coffee was horrible, when you have to pay $3.50 extra for toast, not worth going back. Not worth the over $30.00 paid for breakfast.

Our team had ordered a crab boil and the lady kept bringing different items over a period of time. There were no plates, fork of knife just plain table cloth and items were dumped on the table directly. It started with chicken wings, potato wedges, cron, carrots, mussels, shrimps and carbs. It went on for ever. They even provided bibs.

5 of us went in for breakfast and I can not eat big meals. I asked to order a kids breakfast and was told I cannot order it. Told to order a Traditional breakfast and I said no as 3/4 of it would go in the garbage. Still was refused as to the amount of money we were spending at our table. VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

Excellent breakfast till 3pm. The ladies are very friendly.

A club house is supposed to be a three layer toasted sandwich with chicken or turkey, ham and roast beef. I brought home a chicken burger smothered with cheese:( my husband was so upset. Your menu clearly says Chicken Club Sandwich. Maybe you should change the menu? I ordered pan seared scallops and fries. Your chef should know how to pansear something in butter, my scallops were dunked in flour and seared but when served the flour was falling off onto my plate:( I used to go here for the quiet atmosphere, a good chat and awesome food but I doubt I will ever spend a dime here again.

Well Ive been in one of the civeo camps up here for awhile. If ya had camp food. You all know what Im talking about..... So decided to come to town on day off for a treat. Let me tell you that was the best beer battered halibut Ive had in ages... menu prices good. Poutine was great a tad to much gravy .... like John and Ya gotta eat here should be here its wonderful. Service was well with a smile.... Note before I hit the oil patch for work, Ive been a chef in many 5 star places . So when I mean this is good east coast food. I mean it..

The Fish Plase was experience wont be forgotten that easy. Fish and chips are excellent, they introduced me to a Naughty Amber beer made by Fat Unicorn That beer blow my mind, I wanted to by couple of cases. I couldnt find anywhere even beer store that supplies that restaurant, no luck. On the way home almost 400 km, I stopped at brewery which is also a restaurant. No beer in the cases only 64 fl oz which is 1.8 liters $25.00 What do you think, did I buy it? Hell yeah, after all they I was looking for and some time a day before that. Good luck to find that beer

We always love going to The Fish Place. This time there were too many people in the restaurant. Not sure if the servers were understaffed to handle the influx of customer but we had to wait a while to get served. The servers were very nice and apologized for late service. They did their best. Food was great as always.
