Ordered a veggie burger few days ago at 7:20pm It was supposed to be delivered before 8:40pm but arrived at 9pm. The whole burger was cold One burger took more than 1 hour to be delivered. What can we expect on big orders then?

best coffee in town !!

I recently visited whole wheat and honey and had a wonderful experience! The cafe has a cozy and inviting vibe, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The staff were incredible and attentive, making my visit even more enjoyable.

We enjoyed a great dinner at Second Chapter Indian Cuisine/Whole Wheat and Honey. Fort St John has now several choices for Indian cuisine and Second Chapter is a wonderful addition. I also appreciate the Whole Wheat and Honey continuing breakfast menu and cafe offerings in morning!

This was an unexpected treat! Service was exceptional, the Indian food was tasty and comforting, enjoyed in a nice cozy atmosphere. Well be back on our next trip through FSJ!

Went for dinner. Fantastic staff. Food wasnt half bad.

They do not honor their gift certificates quoting that the previous owner would get the money. Not proper business practice in BC. The purchase deal would likely have included a receivable for outstanding gift certificates. The purchaser of mine also purchased 2 others for $100.00 each. Thats quite a slap in the face for supporting local.

To start off on a good note, the atmosphere of this place is pretty good. The café is really cute and has lovely decor. My partner and I came here because the coffees looked really good. On this morning, we got here and saw that smoothies were available. My partner and I both got a smoothie but ended up not liking them. The smoothie was kind of bland with a mostly milk flavor and hint of berry. We are kind people and don t like to make a fuss, but after some bravery work, we decided to politely ask to try a coffee because we didn t really like the smoothie. We felt bad for asking for a refund, but we did get one for one of the smoothies. The young blonde/brown haired staff was super sweet and brought us the coffee we had bought to replace the smoothie. After trying the coffee, it was obvious that we made a wrong initial decision with getting the smoothie. The coffee was really good and I would definitely recommend this place if you re looking for a good coffee.

Used to be a great spot in town to get breakfast or brunch and enjoy the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the servers don t understand basic serving skills, the food is incredibly mediocre at best and the foil sandwich wrappers were greasy on the outside not likely going back unless ownership takes a major direction shift and trains their staff.

I can see why the cafe was recommended by everyone we asked. Fantastic curry, great service and reasonable prices. So good!

I went to the WWHC yesterday with my father and step mom for our last meal in BC before they headed home to Ontario. I had always wanted to visit and was impressed by the decor and vibes walking in. However, only two young girls were working, one cooking 1 in the kitchen. Our server did not take our order even remotely correctly, and myself and step mom were served half of our meals (the rest showed up later and was wrong), then 15 minutes later my dads arrived and it was completely wrong. He ended up cancelling the order all together. I tried to buy a bag of coffee beans but the server did not know how to ring them up, the cook came out and said she would have to call her supervisor to find out how to charge me for the beans. I just said forget it. The place has potential but please train your staff properly. For $20 a meal we expected better. Disappointing.

They fired half of the old staff for no reason when new owners took over.

I have to take back my 5 star review and give 1 star, unfortunately. The café is no longer a café since the business sold and is now some sort of Indian fusion restaurant with a contemporary lunch menu. This business used to be a hub for local creatives and healthy, home-cooked, breakfast and lunch, but it s now been commercialized into just another Indian restaurant that fired a bunch of employees to hire family members. Very sad to see this business go downhill the way it has.

Sad to say that recently my experiences here have not been good. I ve been coming here for years and recently have noticed that the quality of food and service to have gone down significantly. When you walk in the staff members barely greet you and seem like they don t want to be there. They won t bring you a menu right away (even when they see you sit down and you ve been waiting for a while), and rush you when taking your order (to then forget half your order). The soups are salty now and the sandwiches are greasy. What used to be a good atmosphere to study or converse with friends is now riddled with the smell of burned grease and poor service. I never ever write reviews, but I m really disappointed to see one of my favourite spots in town go downhill. Oh! And watch that they don t charge you twice. Overall, I really hope that these issues are only temporary, if not, then unfortunately I will have to say goodbye to Whole Wheat & Honey.

this cafe is really cute and atmosphere is very calm and positive. never disappointed with the food service and employees are very friendly. always welcome with the smile. the best thing is they r open for dinner as well. so excited about it i will definitely recommend this cafe to my friends and family

They served me a cold chicken sandwich on the wrong bread, small serving of soup that was mediocre, (with no spoon! I had to ask.) There were chunks of unblended ice in my smoothie, and tracking down a server was a task of its own as they all sat behind the counter on their phones. Probably the worst experience Ive had in town, and they were snappy and rude when I didnt tip. Used to love Whole Wheat & Honey but I will never return.

I dont know whats happened to WWH. Im assuming the business was sold and the new owners are trying to keep some of the original menus items on. They are not doing those items justice. The menu is more broad now, but that isnt always a good thing. At our table of four, we ordered from the breakfast, lunch, and appetizer sections. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was extraordinary or so delicious that Id make an effort to go back for. This was disappointing because we brought our family from out of town and chose this location for their tasty reputation. The server was friendly, but she wasnt knowledgeable of the menu or basic server actions such as offering water, bringing utensils, or clearing dishware. She also took one of the orders incorrectly. From this experience, I wont be going back anytime soon, but I would like to give them a go in the future to see if theyve improved.

This cozy cafe is a gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal or coffee break. Tried this place today felt git ripped off,soup &sandwich..soup was tasteless and runny,sandwich was good,told the new ownership belongs in the garbage,the clueless new owner,cant have much experience in food business clueless about damage control...TOLD Crook and the cook or I have a Red Seal in cooking & 20 plus yrs experience .I can give you cooking lessons..never going back there again,1st and last time..this town lacks places,where the food has taste

I was so surprised by this cafe. The ladies are all super upbeat and friendly. The food was so tasty, and they took pride in their coffee. This will be my regular go to while in town. Highly recommend.

Great place to sit down and enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch. Today was a Creamy Tomato Soup with a Grilled Honey Ham Sandwich. Felt relaxed and was able to fully enjoy enjoy my meal. Wheelchair accessibility: Right after entering the door, there is immediately a ramp rather then steps to allow people to get in with no issues.

The Kale soup was very salty for someone who has high blood pressure.

Stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe, and lets just say we will definitely be returning. My son got a yummy hot chocolate and a grilled cheese sandwich. He said it is one of the best grilled cheese hed had in a long time!!

Delicious food and good service

Had lunch with a few colleagues - mine was OK but not awe-inspiring, which, I think, is the vibe they are after. My colleague s sandwiches looked the same, like something your mom would make. Staff were very friendly, wooden chairs and table s uncomfortable, lots of tasty-looking treats suited for morning coffee, but I didn t indulge. Great place for a somewhat plain but very economical meal.

Trying to support more non-chain restaurants when I stumbled upon this cute cafe. Ordered a London fog (to DIE for). Very dissatisfied with treatment of staff however. I could hear the manger degrading other staff all the way at the front of the house. I thought local restaurants were meant to have a homey atmosphere but instead was greeted with an environment more hostile than my divorced parents together at my graduation. Vegetarian options: Loved the vegetarian options

Stopped in for breakfast on a Thursday morning before a flight out of Fort St John. The food was delicious and came out of the kitchen hot and fresh. The menu was great with a little something for everyone and the staff were friendly and helpful. Get the jam if you order toast, it is homemade and delicious

This is the cutest place. Busy, but not too packed. I could feel how happy everyone was right when I came in. I m not local but I could tell almost everyone in here knew each other, which gives it good vibes. Young lady at the counter was very sweet and when I got my coffee I was so happy I took a picture. (I m not one to take pics of my orders) soup and sandwich was great and everything was worth the price. I ve already recommended this cafe to many people. Just beautiful.

Right in the centre of Fort St. John. A must stop for breakfast lunch or coffee/snack. Their Pumpkin Spice Latte is delicious! Fresh baked goods, soups, salads and sandwiches with GF options. Dine in or take out. Wonderful service - Upbeat modern atmosphere!

Best cafe in FSJ

Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down considerably, certainly not like they used to be, the breakfast burritos are more tortilla wrap than filling, the wrap lately has been dry and on the stale side, their vegetarian soups lately are so thin watery and lack flavour, never mind their scones that are constantly overbaked and dry, instead of being light buttery and flakey like a scone is supposed to be, the flavour and texture of the hummus is not consistent and canola oil is being used in the hummus, I was mortified! Certainly no longer my favourite place, been hearing its for sale so hopefully the new owners make some huge improvements cuz they sure need it. In the meantime waiting on the Cafe across the street to open their kitchen. Wont be back to Wholewheat and Honey any time soon.

Such a friendly staff I am on a bike travel and needed to refill my super small coffee container ( 150g) They grinded the coffee for me as i requested and gave me a fair price. For me: good coffee makes me feel like home in Europe I would def go back here and recommend you to do the same, the to go coffee is great too

Terrific service. I went for breakfast as I was passing through town for a day and came back for lunch because it was so delicious and healthy. Food is homemade, allergy conscious, with a terrific variety. Christie, the manager, was very pleasant and welcoming!

Excellent home made food! Ive been both times Ive visited FSJ and loved it!!

I decided to grab a coffee here and from the minute I walked in the whole atmosphere made me uncomfortable. From the strange looks I received from customers to the total ignoring from staff I felt totally un welcome. Now Im used to this snobby, elitest attitude from big city establishments but not here. I dont know why this over priced joint gets so many good reviews, Ive had better treatment and service at McDonalds, they could learn a few things from them. I ended up walking out and going over to the coffee shop in the cultural center where I was actually treated like a valued customer.

Just popped in for a coffee while waiting for a friend to pick me up, and I m glad I did. The cafe is quite big, but it still had a very cozy feel. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and service was prompt. The cappuccino I had was good, the espresso strong and foam silky. If I m ever in Fort St. John again I ll have to try something from the menu here. I also loved the wall of Hogwarts Houses. Definitely gave a cafe a bit of a charming, nerdy appeal!

First time here - I ordered a Thai noodle salad which was delicious. The person taking my order was very helpful and friendly. The food came quickly which was nice during the busy lunch hour. The decor is very rustic and casual and it was enjoyable to sit and talk with my lunch companions whike we ate. I felt like the menu is good value for the money and I would definitely visit again next time Im in town.
